    We've has always like they were pet friendly and a nice location. Can tell the property and building are not being kept up to what they should be. Ice machine not working, old wires hanging out in the room near the heating unit, 1 roll of toliet paper, a lot of work needs done around the shower area. Just going down hill over the years we have been staying there. We will be looking for a different place in the future.

    I am not sure what happened with the Bathroom but when we left & came back to the room from a day at Busch Gardens, the bathroom floor was flooded 😳...not sure where the water came from but we got it up best we could..other than that, the room was clean..we stayed 6 nights with 3 kids..room was reasonable for that amount of time..I would stay here again!! Staff was cool..our 1st time visiting Virginia & it was pleasant

    It was ok the room was semi cleaned for what we needed was good we where visiting family 7min away location was excellent and close to everything 1 hour away from Richmond and 45 minutes from Virginia Beach.

    It wasn't far to get to other attractions. The hotel advertised a continental breakfast however they have people that live at the hotel and they would eat before they went to work and then when the guests would go down, there would be nothing left. Supposed to be from 6am to 9:30 am plus there was no one to restock breakfast items. The room that we stayed in was okay however the carpet was ripped and worne. They have an ice machine but it was broke and the soda machine was empty. Outside wasn't any better, trash was overflowing and was on the ground, trash was also in the parking lot.

    The couple two times my husband been staying at this hotel breakfast is not serve. He has noticed everytime the hotel is full they always cancel breakfast. He usually stays in this hotel because of work being close by and they provide free breakfast. I feel is a bad service not providing breakfast when they have free breakfast when you booked the hotel.

    Front desk staff was excellent in customer service. However, my room wasn’t clean on arrival. Dirty wall, bed and a dead cockroach on the carpet. Room wasn’t not well maintained. Blackout drapes were broken. The bathroom had no towels and amenities were not stocked completely. Missing shampoo. Dirt on side of bed.

    When walking in it was ok. going To the room was another story. Very musty smell paint on doors were peeling off rust stain in shower coming from grab bar. Water took for ever to get hot then turn to scalding. When you look at the bed it had a huge dip in the middle of the bed. Couldn’t get over the smell. Fire alarms went off at 1am lasting about 15 min on and off. We were then told it was somebody smoking marijuana that made the alarms go off in the building but the next night it didn’t again for about five minutes. The motel rate of marijuana and musty smells.

Get a load of this when I mentioned the TV being being disconnected I was told I should have called the front desk, someone would have come to rest the programming. As a single female would you have done that at 11pm when only males were operating the front desk ???

    The lobby was nice. The exterior is not how it appers in the photos it is very outdated. The location of the hotel it self is of the of the road in almost like a culdesac with another hotel across the street. A shopping area is also across the street in walking distance. The hallway is ok but the rooms are horrible for the price. As soon as you opened the door the room reaked of cigarette smoke. Everything is outdated the couch was nasty with spills all over it. The tv was broken with tape around it. The clock by the bedside was old not usb ports for charging. Oh the bath room was horrible stains all over the tub. We requested another room if I could have gotten a refund I would have and found another hotel for the price I paid. This property is what yoi would compare to a run down hotel except they have a nice lobby. The free breakfast not many options thank goodness the location is near the mall and have several restaurants nearby.

    Friendly helpful staff. Property is in decent shape; exterior is a little worn looking, maybe from winter impacts. Inside was updated. The two rooms weee close to elevators but roomy and comfortable. Breakfast was generous and well stocked. Have stayed at this location before and would recommend.

    First time at this hotel, our stay was very good. No ice machine on the 2nd floor but the elevator worked just fine. The room was very nice, sofa and chairs, big mirror and a great coffee maker. Full breakfast bar with juice and coffee. Other than the weather it was a great stay with very good location.

    Located close to my needs. The host that checked us in was helpful with finding the location of food we wanted to eat. The price I saw online was the price I paid, period. Asked for an early check in, not available once I got there. They tried to get me to pay for an upgrade to better suit my needs ( my parents and myself staying in a king room with pull out couch), then when I declined, they offered it for free because they were full and had one room that needed service. I declined because they offered smaller beds than I requested. When we returned at 8pm, I had to request bedding for the pull out couch. They didn't have anything other than a fitted and top sheet. Go to pull the couch out and notice a condom wrapper and lots of stains on the couch. Folded the couch back up and covered it as you would sit on a couch with the fitted sheet, used the regular sheet and a thin blanket from my car to cover up with. Used my luggage as pillow. I had an early class the next day. Woke up to find no coffee in the room (there was a coffee maker though), and very small cups in the lobby with the coffee maker. Breakfast was blah, but there. Had the handicap shower in the room, and got out to find the whole floor covered in water. Right before I left I asked for an ice machine and was told it's on the third floor, with no time to try to go up.

    Only had Decaf coffee by Keurig. Shower didn't drain well, water was over my ankles by the time I was done. Breakfast was gone by 6:50. Nothing in any of the pans. Bigger issue was there was no one working at the front desk or the area where they prep breakfast. There was no hotel staff at the hotel! I called the phone number, no one answered. I called the Corporate office and let them know the hotel was unmanned.

    For a value price this was a great stay. I was pleased with how clean the bedrooms and beds were . The bathroom looked updated and modern . Everything worked like it was suppose too . It still a cheaper place for a reason . But when compared to other hotels for this price??? .. this particular location was exceptional .

    Breakfast was good and at reasonable times. The staff kept everything stocked and clean. I do want to add how amazing the young lady that worked overnight at the front desk. The first night we checked into the room, the AC wasn't working. She tried to reset the AC which didn't work, but she changed our room to one that worked. She came to our aide in the third night with the laundry facilities. The coin cache to start the dryer wouldn't work. She came with me and fixed the problem. There was a trick to it and she knew what to do. I can't recall her name, I wish I could. She was great and very helpful and kind The beds were a little firm, but we all slept fine.

    There was no "Do Not Disturb" placard to put on door so we were sleeping and the maids barged in not knowing we were still there. There was only 1 TV channel which was ridiculous. Pool wasn't taken care of. Water was very murky.

Fast-forward to this past week and I gotta say that this stay was a HUGE let down!! The staff was still great, but the breakfast and the room were TERRIBLE!! I’m an ex-military guy and I’ve seen better food in open markets in foreign countries! We decided that we would definitely eat out after seeing the breakfast the first morning. The room was HORRIBLE! There was the smell of a dirty dog in the hallway outside our door and what possibly was a senior citizen that might have soiled themselves in the room next to ours. The carpet and couch in the room had stains all over them and the tub looked as if it hadn’t been cleaned in quite some time, the only thing that appeared clean was the bed. My wife and I had to go to a Target to get air fresheners and bathroom cleaner just to feel comfortable using the shower and to kind of mask the dog and old-people smell. To say that this visit home to Virginia’s hotel stays was disappointing is an understatement. DEFINITELY WILL NOT BE STAYING HERE AGAIN!!

    Breakfast killed this review. It’s the last impression and it’s good to start the day with a good breakfast. But, the pancake machine needs to be fixed or replaced. Coffee maker was also wonky and people just left their diluted cups of coffee next to the machine. Otherwise it would’ve been a great stay.     The pool was already closed for the season. Overall the room and property is clean - The furniture (outside of the bed) was very old and Hodge podge. We had a clogged toilet, so I tried to call downstairs. Two things happen: 1. The phone doesn't work (and the cord itself is broken to the headset). For safety sake, that is unacceptable. And when we called downstairs via our cell phones, we were told that management knows about the on-going phone issues that would be taken care of in a couple of days and that she would have a plunger sent up for us to take care of the toilet as there was no maintenance man.

    Coming from out of State but stayed at a Best Western as well worked along in the past & this has been the worse experience. Staying on The 2nd floor went to get ice. The ice machine wasn’t working, had to walk downstairs to be told that it’s not working & to use the 3rd floor one. the room I was In was nasty. There was dried up blood by the sink walls, the bathroom tub has rust & dark stains, the bedroom lamps were holes, and black stains all over. Mind you these lamps shades were beige. Upon opening up the sofa bed there were no extra Linen. And the mattress had no sheets. Had to walk downstairs and ask. Waiting for extra the young lady only provided 1 blanket. So had to return to ask for something as who is going to sleep on just a mattress. Even though we asked for sheets for the sofa we couldn’t even open the sofa bed because how uncomfortable how dirty it looked we just placed the bed sheets on top of the sofa. The next morning I informed the gentleman at front desk that the water in the tub was not going down & was not able to get the water stopper to come back up. He said ok he will have someone take care of it. After returning back in the evening I came back to no one coming in the room. The room wasn’t cleaned, all the dirty linen that I placed By the door was still there as well as the bag of trash. There was no clean linen to use or nothing & no there was no sign placed at the door for privacy or no housekeeping. To finish off there was no Hot water running.

    For the hotel itself, the staff was okay, but the facility was run-down and really dirty. The floors were sticky in the hotel common areas as well as the room itself. The room smelled terrible, and the couch in the room was visibly filthy and stained. There were spots on the walls that appeared to be either a soda splash or possibly even blood. I ended up getting some disinfectant spray and spraying and wiping down the tile floor area, the chair and desk, and other hard areas. The bed itself did look clean, but I sprayed that down as well. I did not eat breakfast at the facility, and we ended up leaving early due to a family emergency at home, but I would not stay here again.

Besides, one light bulb in the floor lamp needed to be changed. The breakfast was excellent. Everything was hot and very pleasing. Never ran out of food.     The room had a musty smell. The person that checked us in had some one hit his car and left us standing there for like 15 minutes. When he checked us in he did not give us any information so I assumed breakfast was until 10 but when I went down at 9:28 the lady told me everything was gone. The next morning I went down at 9:15 and saw other people come down a few minutes before 9:30 and she had already taken everything up. She even cuts off the juice machine so people that are still eating can’t even get more juice.

    We had booked a king bed suite --- I thought. In fact, it was a small room with a king bed and sleeper couch and with the sleeper couch made into a bed, you could barely walk around the room. The staff at this hotel were amazing and friendly, but we had to go to the front desk numerous times -- wrong sheets for couch bed, broken lamp, TV not working, etc. All of the outlets were loose in the wall and nothing stayed plugged in. There were no usb outlets anywhere. THe shower flooded the bathroom even if you were careful with the curtain. Stains on the floor, stains on the couch and the couch mattress. Breakfast was good, but the design made it hard to get things when the inevitable rush happened.

    The refrigerator in the room didn't work and I didn't know it until the next morning when I went to get something out it and everything was warm. the room had a terrible musty smell to it. Even the night manager said the same thing. I asked if I could get a late check out as my flight wasn't leaving until 6 PM tonight and they told me know and that I would have to call Expedia. Terrible customer service.

Even the night manager said the same thing. I asked if I could get a late check out as my flight wasn't leaving until 6 PM tonight and they told me know and that I would have to call Expedia. The room was clean, the stay would have been great not for the AC not working and the staff handling the issue poorly. Expedia on the other hand was great. The property had to hear from expedia for taking any action.

    You could also see the outside through the screw holes where they had replaced the air condition unit but did not fill the holes. The room also felt wet like it needed to be dehumidified. The breakfast was good, but we were looking forward to using the Nestle speciality coffee machine and it was of course not working and there was no sign indicating it was not working.

    The folks that were at reception were very attentive and responsive. However, my room reservation was mixed up repeatedly for the first 24 hours. Wile I was out during the day my things were packed up, moved to a different room and then moved back. While everyone was kind and apologetic it was very disruptive.

    The Front desk staff was super professional, helpful, courteous exceptional service from everyone. From check in with Laticia so warm and friendly, Mitul was excellent with our towel request late one night, Zorica was wonderful at breakfast and all day and Marie when Zorica shift was over. They are jewels to have as employees. Everyone was so pleasant it made our stay even better. Please let them know how we appreciated each one of them.

    Nice sized room. Breakfast actually offered meat, eggs, and potatoes. There was only 1 person covering the front desk and breakfast area and while they did an excellent job of managing everything, they really needed help.

    Area around the bathtub was blackish & moldy, and walls had lots of stains. Walls in the room were paper thin, and there was loud screaming/ fighting outside in the night. We were woken up in the morning by an employee (maybe a manager) loudly scolding another employee in the hallway. Based mainly on the lack of cleanliness, we would not stay at the location again.

    Rooms were so smelly. A/C in one of the room was not working and makeshift cooler was kept in room without telling us! . Room had a hole in wall and carpet was ripped off!! Thanks to Indian guy who was working in night shift and was very prompt to help us out. He did try to reach out to Hotel manager but no luck. Luckily in morning we checkout and then shifted to another room. Quite a relief!! Breakfast is pretty ok and coffee machine was "out of order". Early morning fire alarm broke out , may be because someone smoke in room! TV was not turning on from remote. Night 1 am even i had to reach out to Expedia customer care to raise complain and get an alternate options. That was also not much. When we arrived in night there were bunch of people sitting outside like junkie and drinking beer. This was my first and last booking with Worst Western hotel chain. Will not recommend to anyone.

    Overall the service was great, especially the daytime front desk lady, but 2 false fire alarms (1 at 6am) after driving for 8 hours 2 hours prior, and noisy girls running up and down the halls all hours of the night, screaming and talking and banging on the hallway walls, it kind of ruined it for me. Service was not the issue here, rooms are slightly dated but you def get what you pay for, disappointing that I didn’t get to rest much at all…

    My main complaint is that they only supplied the room with one towel which I did not realize till my kid had already used it and I was getting out of a shower. They also only supplied the room with the toilet paper on the roll. That ran out at an inconvenient time as well. The staff should adequately supply their rooms.

    The staff were friendly. The place was clean. The remote to the television was missing and they couldn't replace it, I couldn't manually operate the television because it couldn't receive any signals. So, no TV for me. The shower temperature was tepid, so no hot shower either.

    I’ve been coming to this location for a few years for work and this place is heading in the wrong direction going down. They require a $150 deposit on top of an incidental charge to stay here. If it wasn’t so convenient I would definitely find another hotel.

    on 12/27 we woke with an unexplained clogged toilet. Left the room to go to Busch Gardens. Got back at 930pm...started to unwind for the night and noticed the toilet was still clogged and there were a great deal of baby roaches crawling around plus a dead adult in the toilet with a second one running laps. I have video and pics of the roach issue. Submitted to the hotel...it took 3 calls after leaving abruptly on 12/27 when we saw the roaches crawling on the bed, specifically the pillows. After driving over night as we were no longer comfortable staying in the hotel we found baby roaches in our luggage which we had to discard. Ive attempted multiple contacts with the General Manager to discuss the issue. Fortunately the account manager Cindy refunded us the nights but after several days of calling and an email with the evidence the GM still hasn't reached back out. The bathroom light fixture was almost falling out of the ceiling and the wall electrical socket by the bathroom was pushed into the wall which is where I think the roaches were coming from. We are thoroughly displeased and await a call back from the GM to discuss the ruined luggage. I would advise everyone to stay away.

    When we entered the room it had an off putting odor (very musty like the room had been closed up for several weeks). When I spoke to the desk clerk, I was given a can of Lysol spray - it helped slightly. For our 4 day stay, we did not have hot water (was tepid at best) for 3, making for very uncomfortable showering! Was told it was a boiler issue. Additionally, the room side doorknob keep falling off. When I mentioned the knob issue to the desk clerk, he stated it was a know problem for several rooms. Ice machine was out of order. While it has been recently updated, we won’t be staying here again!

    This hotel got an 8 out of 10 on Hotels.com, but looked sketch immediately when we got there. The first impression was when I went to use the bathroom in the lobby and feces was in the toilet which apparently had also been clogged. Then the first room they tried to check us into was dirty and hot water was running out the faucet in the tub and could not be turned off. Pouring, not dripping, so it felt like a sauna. We asked for a cleaner, more updated room and the one they gave us still had stains on the ceiling, floor, and sofa, unidentifiable substances splattered on the wall, broken curtains and lampshade. The closets were so small, the hangers would not fit inside with the doors closed. Then we went to turn on the TV and the cable box wouldn’t work. So I went back to the desk and asked for it to be serviced, and was told the same problem was evident in several rooms and that he would have it looked at sometime the next day. After hearing a couple of other guests complain about having problems only to be told they would be addressed and after three days they never were, I concluded this place was mismanaged, understaffed and terribly neglected.

    The complimentary breakfast was really good quality. Recommendations for improvement. We were in Room 101. A. The Direct TV remote is funtional but looks broken. B. The toilet after flushing wouldn't stop running water (due to the inside value not going down. This had to be done manually) This also led to an overflow our second morning. Customer Service handle it promptly and professionally. C. There were no bath towels in our room upon arrival, but customer service did replace promptly. The towels could be larger. D. I found one roach in the bathtub on the second morning.

    The room was not clean the sofa was dirty and the carpet was dirty , rust on the shower head. The direct tv service kept going in and out. This was a horrible stay and to increase the price I will never stay at this place ever. The breakfast was terrible the only thing that was good was the coffee and the fresh fruit. SAD!!!

    We checked in after a long rainy drive. There was no one at the desk initially. Once we finally got to our room we could hear alarms going off all down the hallway and in our room. The person at the front desk came to remove the batteries in our smoke / carbon monoxide alarm to silence the alarm and never returned with working batteries. The toilet in our room did not flush. The room seemed dirty and smelled of strong cigarette smoke as well. We checked out early and had to find a different place to stay for the next 2 nights.

    Once we walked in the AC didn’t work. Called the front desk and she looked overwhelmed only one person at the front. There was a blood stain on the sheets I’m assuming period blood. Sheet was washed just stain didn’t come out. Stains on the carpet. Shower has mold and the floor was dirty and nasty.

    Other issues included a very lack-lustre breakfast. 2 of the 3 pieces of work out equipment had their cords cut and therefore could not be used. What little staff that was there did try to help but it was clear that there was skelton staff. I get that there is perhaps less travel going on and some hotels are having a tough go, but some basic maintenance should still be upheld.

    Door handle fell off when we entered the room. They could not fix it but the deadbolt was functional. The fan in the bathroom is a bit loud. The hot water was barely hot enough on a Saturday morning. Breakfast was ok but someone cooking biscuits set off the fire alarm and the biscuits we were offered while not burned were overdone.
