This property is nice, the location is good as well as you have all you would need within a short walk.

Well-located hotel, central to everything you need in NYC. Rooms were small, but clean and comfortable. Noise was a little bit of an issue between rooms but overall a great stay!

The Front desk staff. The director of operations and his promise to refund me for a room where the A/C wasn't working for 2 out of 3 nights. I had no sleep in a 76 degree room. They only changed my room on the last night and he acted as if this was a favor and not part of a hotel's services to replace a non-functional room with a functional one! He was negotiating with me! He finally agreed to refund 50% of one night and when it came to the actual refunding to Booking.com, they refused and Booking.com had to cover for them even though I had him include that on my invoice as proof and followed up with the general manager as soon as she was back from the holidays and she assured me that it was done!!!

Room was very small (smaller than other Midtown rooms I’ve stayed in), but super clean and comfortable. Probably not great for an extended stay, but perfect for solo/quick trips. And definitely book the Empire view - incredible! I’d rather have the view than extra space :)

We had a wondeful time, everything was perfect. Thr lóháton is excellent, the cleanliness is spotless, the staff is very kind. We enjoyed every single minute of our stay. And the view was simply breathtaking.

Locatation is an absolute 10/10. Use bryant market for the small needs. Food is everywhere. Also as the Points of Intetest in every direction around. Bryant park also beautiful. The Breakfast is not very good. No vegetables like f.e. a tomato or similiar stuff. To less choice so we decided to take breakfast from a small shop around the corner with bagels for 3,50$ best.

Clean, simple, but thoughtful accommodations. I felt like they gave real consideration to the most important and useful features. All the included toiletries, the mattress and linens were super comfortable, the temperature controls were all easy to navigate, and the light for reading in bed was good and easy to access. Oh yeah! And the included breakfast was really quite good, too. The room was really small, but I didn’t need any extra room, so it’s not really a “dislike.” If I had one beef, it was that there wasn’t really enough or adequate overhead and bathroom lighting. But, I’d take that over garish lighting any day. So, make what you will with that.

Many restaurants and a short distance walks to time square. Also subways are an easy access from this location.

Not saying anything will not stay there again, the bed causes one to slide off it. Not worth the money

Very accommodating and friendly front desk staff!! They were able to process an early check in for us as requested and held our luggage while we roamed around the city. Good breakfast options and complimentary coffee in room.

Breakfast was sufficient, and I appreciated that it is included, but the weekday timing was inconvenient. It would be more convenient if breakfast was extended till 9:30 or 10am considering the checkout time is at 11am. The water pressure in the shower was extremely low, to the point where it was difficult to wash soap out of my hair and I had to stand nearly touching the wall to be underneath the shower head.

There was too much air freshener in the lobby! The smell was overpowering. In the room, there was a heavy scent of cleaning product. I was able to open the window for fresh air.

On my floor there was someone down the hall in the hallway yelling every 10 minutes for 45 minutes. I had to call the front desk to come up. I never fell back to sleep.

Seemed to be well run. Room was definitely queen. Relatively quiet. The elevators seemed fast and efficient while I was there, which isn't always the case in some of these places. Low on amenities but had the essentials.

When we arrived, we were told by front desk staff we do not have a reservation. They overbooked the hotel and told us Booking. com did not transferred the reservation when we have a confirmation two weeks ago. DeAngelo did not even bother to apologize. He just told us we don’t have a reservation and he doesn’t have any rooms available

2. The room refrigerator is placed right next to the bed and makes a loud noise when it goes on and off and wakes you up. 3. I understand many NY hotel rooms are small but this one wasn't livable. There was no room around the sink to put anything on and no shelves anywhere for toiletries. Even the kleenex holder was buried under the sink. 4. Room lighting was less than poor. I couldn't even keep the drapes open to get some light because there were workers right outside my window working on hotel.. 5. It's a foundation bed and the mattress kept slipping down and had to keep pushing it back up to the headboard, TV get losing the signal. 6. The only positive was the guys at the front desk when I checked in were very nice and accommodating. 7. I felt I would be safe reserving at a Wyndham property but don't see doing that in the future.,.

This hotel is a hidden gem. The staff is super friendly, and the room was extremely clean. I enjoy the boutique style of 4 rooms per floor. If you are looking for a huge room this place is not for you, but given the location, price and staff I would stay here anytime over some of the larger chain hotels.

The bed and pillows were really comfortable. The location is excellent. I would definitely stay here again. It's close to all the theaters, MoMA, and shopping but just outside of all the chaos of Times Square. Easy access to cabs and subway. Fresh fruit and good continental selection for breakfast. Plenty of storage space. Very clean.

My wife and I spent two nights. The location is excellent, very near to the Theater District, NY Public Library, great restaurants, and Bryant Park. The room was small, but very clean, quiet, and the bed was comfy. The staff was very friendly, helpful and kind, especially Wanda and Fausto. When I clumsily cut my hand with my razor, I went to the front desk hoping that they would have have a first aid kit. They did in fact have a well stocked kit, and Wanda took the time to personally clean my nasty cut, apply triple antibiotic and fashion a bandage. I was very touched by her kindness and care. In sum our experience was very nice and we’ll definitely stay there again.

We had a wonderful stay at Wingate. The rooms were spotless, the staff was incredibly friendly and attentive, and the hospitality made us feel right at home. The complimentary breakfast was delicious with plenty of options, and everything about our stay was comfortable and welcoming. We highly recommend this hotel and would definitely return.

The night we returned to our room, the smell of marijuana was very strong in our room. I called the front desk about it and the front desk said they would check. The smell persisted and no follow up was made to us.

Perfect hotel for solo travelers, it is classic NYC tiny room. I loved my stay and the front desk staff were so nice. Definitely worth the price. I was excited to come back from a busy day of exploring to a cozy room.

Stay was fine, couldn’t get the air conditioner to work and it wouldn’t turn on even fiddling with the thermostat for a while.

We stayed 4 nights, ac was not working properly. There solution was a fan. Light didn’t work in bathroom and the shower drain was clogged. Breakfast however was great. People were nice just need some work on the room we were in.

My stay was going well until I woke up to massive amounts of charges on my credit card. I only agreed to one refundable security hold. They charged my card the security fee twice. I then noticed multiple other unauthorized charges on my credit card made by their front desk staff. I wanted to check out at noon but due to the charges I immediately went to the lobby to confront the front desk and check out because I no longer felt comfortable. They said that it was a mistake done by a new person and my money should be returned in a few days. I’m currently waiting on my funds to be refunded back to my card. They didn’t offer any incentive for the poor experience but instead brushed off like it was nothing. Please check your card balance if you stay at this hotel. I’m beyond frustrated with my experience.

Quick, easy, efficient and thorough check-in. Helped hold luggage for us after arriving very early on a red-eye. Got us into a room by 12:30. Staff was friendly, helpful, & courteous. Excellent experience and team!

Over the years I have stayed at many hotels in Manhattan and am pleased to find this. The location and amenities are excellent for both business and leisure stays.

The room was warm, we mentioned to the staff that it is hard to sleep at night due to room temperature being warm. Staff said that there is no one to take care of it and expected us to sleep in the heated room. No action was taken

We had a great stay! The staff was friendly and accommodating. Lots of great things to see within walking distance and there are several Subway stations nearby. Would definitely stay here again!

The hotel is in the perfect location, on 37th between 5th and 6th Aves. We were so close to everything--Empire State Building, Rock Center, Central Park, theater district. The room was surprisingly quiet considering the location. We didn't hear much street noise at all during the night, even being lower on the 6th floor. The included breakfast was good, but seating is limited. One staff member could be friendlier, but overall the staff was nice and helpful. The room was small, but it's NYC, so I expected that; but it was very well laid out. Lots of space for our luggage and items still.

Great hotel and perfect location! It is in the heart of Manhattan and near everything you can imagine. The bed was very comfortable as well as the pillows!

Hotel is within easy walking distance of tourist attractions, Penn Station and Macys. The outside of the hotel is pretty non description, its wedged between other buildings and when walking past you could almost miss it. There was building work in the area and barriers up nearby related to that. Despite appearances outside, reception was small but well presented and there was the most lovely fragrance in the air. The breakfast area is small, as others have said, there were not enough places if you wanted to eat in the room. The selection of items is fresh and plentiful. The staff were on hand keeping things in order. I grabbed my breakfast and went back to my room. Don't be fooled by the Gotham view advertised when booking. For my room, although on a high floor, for the size of the window I was looking out from, there was no view of an array of buildings or skyline. Only water tanks, other rooftops or windows of other buildings. Other than being in your room or in the breakfast area, I don't believe there are other break out areas in the hotel. Bar or restaurant for example. Overall, I enjoyed my stay and would stay again. The hotel was comfortable enough (for 1 night) and well situated to do your thing, right in the centre of NYC.

This Wingate by Wyndham hotel exceeded my expectations. First the checking process was pleasant, friendly and fast. The breakfast was delicious and the kitchen staff was attentive to the supplies and food quantities for guests. Our room got cleaned and the bathroom was spotless. This hotel facility and staff were a Win Wyn situation!!!

The room was tiny and the noise from surrounding construction in the middle of the night was bad. Breakfast was cramped and mediocre.

For the Manhattan standard this hotel is quite good. Quiet, clean, rooms in good condition, and renovated bathrooms. The bed is too soft and sinks in the middle; the pillows are standard. The elevators are fast, without the long waits you'd find at other hotels in Manhattan. Some of the staff aren't very friendly, but overall it's OK. Very well located. My only complaint is that the included breakfast area is quite chaotic. It's very small, and there are only a few tables for too many guests. Overall, I recommend it.

I stayed with here for a weekend trip with my mother. The room was a bit tight, but I expected that with nyc. The location was amazing perfect walking distances from the subway stations and 5th Avenue shopping. There is so much to do around the hotel and the workers were very helpful.

I sent a message to the hotel telling them that I would be a late arrival, 11 PM. They were ready for me when I got there and I was greeted by my name. Very friendly atmosphere. The rooms are small but very clean and everything that I needed. Internet connection was good and breakfast was included.

Im really upset with my stay in this hotel. I travel often to nyc and never before had this issue before. I stayed in this hotel about 3 weeks ago, and usually i will pay the security deposit with my credit card using apple pay; however they informed me i couldnt use apple pay in this facility, which is why i used my debit card. The guy at the front desk, informed me it just a hold in my card. I still haven’t gotten my money back on my card, 3 weeks after me staying in this hotel. I dispute this with my bank, and they confirmed this payment hasn’t been completed by the hotel. I contacted expedia, and the hotel just gave them an excuse as to why is not back on my card. So if you’re planning to stay in this hotel, just know they will charge you $200 as a deposit and it will take weeks for you to get your money back, even if they said it just a hold in your card, if money isnt an issue for you, then go ahead.

Great staff and hotel

Hotel was quiet and safe. Had a nice view of the Empire State building. Asked front desk twice for something and they didn't send it up either time as I was told. Wasn't a huge deal but should have been done. Overall it was a pleasant stay and would stay there again. Hopefully they can correct all the minor issues I experienced because the hotel has a ton of potential. I wouldn't hesitate to stay if you were on the fence about it.

The hotel was nice. Good location. The breakfast was convenient. The breakfast space was very small so I ate in my room. The only problem I had was a member of the staff cleaning my room left the door open while they left to get some supplies then I arrived back at my room to find the door open.
