We had to change rooms due to heater not working.

They charged me $75 for a dirty towel

Unpleasant experience

Fantastic place to stay

I wasnt able to sleep at all. Loud music , yelling in hallways all night

Very good

I did not have a stay at this property. I arrived with a written confirmation and I had even called ahead the previous day to confirm my stay. However, upon arrival, I was informed that the property was closing in two days to become a shelter and my reservation had been cancelled. I received no notification.

Hotel is no longer in business..
- 4/5
Breakfast and coffee was good
- 3/5
No airport shuttle available because they haven’t hired a driver, so instead it’s a $40 cab ride each way. Shuttle was advertised on Google, seems like a bait and switch. Find another option if your flight is cancelled.
- 1/5
Loud music. Dirty room
- 3/5
Upset that I was charged $50 after checking out a few mins past check out. Asked for a receipt and if there was any additional charges to which I was told no nor given a receipt. Couple days later I find a $50 charge on my card. They also didn’t deliver blankets nor extra towels when needed. Disappointed
- 4/5
No continental breakfast
- 2/5
The property is listed as a near JFK airport property with a free shuttle. When we arrive there the shuttle was not in service as they had no driver and the hotel was quite a long distance away from JFK airport. It cost us $100 for a car to get there and another $40 to get back to the airport more than the room.
- 2/5
Smelled like cigarette/weed smoke throughout hotel/elevators/vents
- 2/5
1) Always tells people to park there. (Lie! She told me nothing so I had to stop my car and google, in the middle of Queens.) 2) As someone who lives in NY she does not understand why people use cars. I came from MD to fly out of JFK? Then she forgets to program my key. I go all the way to the fourth floor and the key does not work. In heavy clothes and with my bags I go back down. She says, O! One minute. And actually programs the key. I asked for a wake up call. Got none. Breakfast is some horrible cold rolls and some bottles of, I don’t know, juice, yogurt? They told me to go to a deli at the corner. Have I mentioned it was 8 degrees plus windshield outside? Sleeping is also hard - it’s Queens, sone cars were beeping at night and at 5 am. Tiny rooms.
- 3/5
The receptionist was talking with a friend (using profanity) while checking us in. The room was tiny. Otherwise met all of our needs as we just needed somewhere with parking and clean to lay our heads for the night. It was 15-20 min from the airport. It worked out well.
- 1/5
There was a line of at least 10 more people behind us. Who knows what time they actually got into their room. They may still be waiting for all I know. I asked for a room away from the elevator and they put us not only next to the elevator but also in the basement. He said he put us on the corner of the hallways and we were literally next to the lift. The room was freezing. There was a thin little blanket on the bed. There were only 2 towels for the three of us, when we had explicitly said there were three of us. My son says he barely slept he was so cold. Next time I will spend an extra $100-$150 to avoid this horrendous experience after a 6 hour flight landing in NYC around midnight with my 2 kids. Do not check-in to this hotel. It was horrendous
- 5/5
I had a great night sleep at the hotel, only problem I have is with the parking hardly no parking very tight and very limited. And customer service could have answered the telephone but all in all it was great,
- 2/5
There is no parking for people that drives their vehicle and no vendor machine in the facility was working
- 2/5
There’s no parking in the area.
- 1/5
Terrible. Rude. Unprofessional.
- 5/5
Staff is awesome! No parking. Parking lot has 6 spots I believe. Do not park on the street in front of the hotel. All the cars parked there had tickets in the morning. You will have to park far away and walk back or take an uber. Neighborhood is rough! Really rough. Make sure you have whatever you need before you get there or have it delivered. Heard gun shots at night. In the morning, the neighborhood has a totally different character. If you are planning on staying one night or at least a short stay with no car, you'll be fine.
- 2/5
The experience here was average. I must mention that the desk assistant was helpful in getting me a cab for the airport.
- 1/5
Absolutely awful, couldn't stay in the hotel, had to checkout after 30mins and book into another hotel, rough area, men smoking drugs outside room, no staff around, no tea/coffee let alone food, couldn't even get a bottle of water, it was awful, i sat crying for the best part of the 30 mins due to how bad it was
- 3/5
Front desk people were great, at check in and at check out.
- 4/5
Great place to be and the environment is getting better
- 1/5
The place is located on rough part of town, so you have to be careful around
- 1/5
We booked this hotel as it offered a free shuttle and was advertised as a hotel close to JFK. We arrived and called for the shuttle and we were told they did not have a driver. Spent $65 on an Uber and a 25 min ride to the airport. The next morning again no shuttle driver and spent $50 on a cab. We got to sleep for about 4 hours.. beyond disappointing.
- 1/5
Horrible no place to park in rough neighborhood
- 1/5
No parking
- 5/5
It was clean and nice
- 3/5
There’s absolutely no way that this is a JFK airport hotel. It’s false advertising. It took me 25 minutes to get there, it’s in a terrible neighborhood. And I spent $65 on an Uber ride. I could’ve stayed at a better hotel near the airport. This should be changed immediately as it is not an airport hotel. And there was no shuttle service in the morning so I had to spend another $40 on an Uber. It was awful.
- 1/5
We chose this location largely because it claimed to have a jfk airport shuttle because we long flights and an early flight next day. After waiting over an hour and seeing no shuttle and 5 or 6 unanswered calls to the hotel, we had to get a taxi to get to the hotel which is located in a sketchy area. The hotel photo cuts out the adjacent properties which are very rundown. At the hotel we saw a bus but were told they did not have a driver for months. We had to pay for another ride to the airport the next morning. We were out $75.00 extra because of the deception and feel we should be reimbursed. Expedia should inspect the place for accurate advertising. We are questioning whether we should rely on Expedia ever again. It was a very bad travel experience.
- 5/5
Great place for great price. Would definitely stay here again!
- 3/5
Limited parking lot. Room was clean and net. Price is not good and jist 28 minutos form JFK. Uber charged 42 dolars for a pick up at 6am. In a Thursday mornings.
- 4/5
.
- 3/5
Location is pretty rough, felt a bit unsafe. Takes almost 30 minutes during the day to get to the airport and is not the most convenient for the price. They are also doing some false advertising as they do not provide a free shuttle service to the airport. Lastly, the room smelled heavily of bleach so is not a great fit for anyone sensitive to smells.
- 3/5
Room was small The person that checked me in was rude. Her customer service was trash.
- 2/5
Not the cleanest
- 2/5
Everything was wrong.
- 2/5
This is 20 minutes away from the airport. Airport should not be in the name of the hotel. They don’t have a shuttle, they cited COVID as the reason, but I didn’t see a single staff member wearing a mask so that’s a bogus excuse. Other hotels in the area have a shuttle that runs. There’s nowhere to park. Two Lyft drivers told us not go outside at night. Only one ice machine and it’s in the basement. There was only a thin blanket on the bed, like the kind that goes between the sheet and a comforter. No water bottles. The front desk guy didn’t know if the vending machine took cards, but it didn’t matter because they were broken when we tried to use them.
- 5/5
Excellent experience....thankfully to all staff
- 1/5
No parking, congestion and dirty neighborhood.
- 2/5
The room in itself is very small but clean, the drink machines dont work, the vending machine has snacks from 1975. My biggest quarrel with this hotel is that there is no parking! So you are forced to walk blocks in the dark in a dangerous part of NY. Very unsafe, wouldnt recommend.
- 2/5
No parking spaces
- 3/5
The only thing me and my family had an issue with was the location. This hotel is in Queens and it does not feel safe to walk around. There are people outside the hotel making noise and just messing around like kids. On top of that, the stores around it are horrible. The closest nice restaurant is 20 min away. Do not go there just because of the price, the location is an absolute nightmare. We were suppose to stay there two nights but ended up staying for one night only and then we got a hotel in Long beach.
- 2/5
The staff were friendly, but the property is I an unsafe area. I was shocked this was a Wyndham property.
- 5/5
My boyfriend and I stayed one night, It’s a very nice hotel with friendly staff and a chill vibe. The parking lot is small but we got here around 5pm and was able to find a spot on the hotel grounds. Highly recommend this hotel it’s close to the beach and it’s wasn’t expensive for one night. I will be returning soon!!!
- 3/5
Location was a 4 min walk to the train. No thrills, we stayed for one night. The room had a lingering bleach smell.
- 1/5
We booked the hotel online. Had no idea it was located in the hood. Blaring music everywhere due to some outdoor concert. Attendant wouldn’t allow us to cancel due to the extremely loud music. We couldn’t stay and just lost our money. Stay away from this crappy place. Horrific and will never return here
- 4/5
Nice hotel. Music in neighborhood is loud.
- 5/5
It was a good property. A little noisy but good overall. Needs more parking
- 1/5
Absolutely horrible.
- 3/5
The room overall was not large but still good enough for a very quick stay. I would not recommend a stay longer than 2 days, as the area is littered with pushy homeless people, loud music around the corner through late hours and a general sense of little safety. The parking consited of 15 spots, first come and first serve, and the hotel makes it clear they are not responsible for any break-ins, theft or damage to your car or property, which is not unusual for a hotel to state about free parking but this truly seems to be a concern in this area. Clean rooms, but overall not the best area for a hotel for a Whyndam owned hotel. It's a drastic difference for the community not more than 5 minutes northeast of it.
- 2/5
Also my key had to be reactivated each day, this is terrible for someone who's on the 3rd floor and had to go to the bathroom. I had to deactivate my Bladder until the key could be reactivated. The bed was nice tho'
- 1/5
My room had hair still in the tub from another person. I was so upset. I'll never go back. Nor did I get my money back.
- 4/5
Comfortable bed
- 1/5
The hotel shouldn't be called a JFK Hotel, it's way too far from JFK. The public is been deceived by calling the hotel a jfk hotel. It's almost 30 minutes drive from jfk and location is horrible and frightening
- 4/5
The hotel was clean and the room was adequate. There was a strong odor of marijuana throughout the building. The location was in a questionable neighborhood. There appeared to be drug dealing and prostitution in the area. This hotel is adequate for a quick overnight stay.
- 1/5
The level of cleaning is very poor, Even when you ask them you get no response, the stuff is very rude they don’t own the hotel so they really don’t care, do you a big favour and don’t go there.
- 2/5
Not a great area to be at alone
- 3/5
The cleaning staff doesn't clean or flush the toilet during cleaning service??!! And the hotel is not close to JFK as one might assume from hotel title. It's at least 20 minutes away by taxi.
- 2/5
Stay away
- 1/5
Staff was nice. Only 10 parking spots on property, if you did not get a parking spot had to park blocks away on street in unsafe area.
- 5/5
Staff was great inside the property was also great. The only detractions were virtually no parking and the location
- 3/5
Liked staff and room. Neighborhood a bit sketchy.
- 1/5
Absolutely terrible. The room was in a basement corner and had NO cell service. A sheet only was provided on my bed. There was a giant line that took over 40 mins for me to get a key to my room. The amenities that are posted for this hotel are not true. There is no airport shuttle. Shame on Expedia for not updating.
- 2/5
The property was okay but it advertises with pictures of a gym but it has no gym. ( false advertising). They have a shuttle bus out front but no driver. And no fax.
- 2/5
That being said - staff was friendly and the room was clean and served its purpose for the night.
- 3/5
Welcome to the jungle!!! First you are met by ratatouille and his crew outside in the parking lot. Infestation city! I know you can’t control rats notice I did not use the word mouse but please get more help. Parking is horrendous! Staff was nice the bed in the room is nice. I’m not judging I’m from the hood, but I have never seen something so despicable in my life. And I’m not talking about the construction work that’s going on at neighborhood that’s very understandable. Come on guys we gotta do a lot better
- 2/5
Not near JFK at all, advertised with airport shuttle but it doesn’t exist. 45 minute train ride or $45 Uber to get there. Area around the hotel is terrible, nowhere you’ll want to walk.
- 1/5
I called hotel from Washington DC let them know I was delayed when I reached hotel there system had shut down was not able to check hotel said they not charge me for no show as was there fault not mine my main concern was not hotel it’s was customer service I spoke to matin dean first he did not believe me and called hotel was not trying get from paying booking I just want bed all that seems hotel.com was not interested in me just ur fees not good start to my vacation then transferred to another agent went through all over again it was now 1.am in morning still no bed the next agent I spoke to her English was broken and was hard for her understand what I was saying she also called hotel too told same thing 1.30am still no room and agent still said I be charge for room I was unable to check in agent found me another hotel but it was 5 miles away but no public transport to get there I got quotefor taxi but they wanted $180 for fare I do have another booking with you for 7 nights in London uk let’s hope I have better experience I hope I get follow up about this experience
- 3/5
Check in experience took a long time. I had to do my paperwork twice because the attendant misplaced it immediately after I signed the first time. The attendant was rude on check in and did not listen.
- 1/5
1. The rooms are way to small for the cost. 2.The staff is unfriendly. 3.The trains in the back are super loud in ur room as if you are sitting on the tract.4The guy that works at night said that they don't have any extra blankets. Had to wait for room service at 9am in the morning. The keys have to be reset all the time because they just stop working. Had to leave my bags at the door to go downstairs and come back. I hated it.
- 2/5
Party (which I understand happens every night in summer) across street with loud music and chatter that prevented sleep. Not sound proof, could hear the neighbours talking and watching tv.
- 2/5
The location is not near JFK airport
- 3/5
Room was pretty nice. The online advertisements were very misleading. There is no shuttle to the airport. $40 for a taxi one way. Area was somewhat scary.
- 5/5
My room was clean, the bed was very comfortable
- 4/5
The hotel was very nice. The area around the hotel is under heavy construction. There was only like 10 parking spaces for this huge hotel and COVID isn't really an excuse to not have airport shuttle, weight room, etc anymore.
- 2/5
Very bad area. Shabby auto shops across the street blared music most of the night. They gave us 1 towel. The front desk couldn't get anymore. At this price it was awful. Room was exceptionally tiny.
- 5/5
They brought the continental breakfast back on weekends, which means that we are coming back from COVID
- 3/5
The area around the hotel is dark and not well lit at night. The room could of be cleaner.
- 4/5
Not enough parking. No one told me room wouldn’t be cleaned each day. It was kind of loud outside each night. I thought there was a continental breakfast each morning and there was not.
- 1/5
Me and my husband tried to park our car in the parking lot where there was no open parking spaces . We went inside and asked the receptionist where can we park and she said it’s first come first serve basis and we can wait for someone to come out or park on the street or look for a parking garage somewhere . My husband said if we park in a parking garage somewhere else then how would we get back to the hotel . And the receptionist shrugged her shoulders . We had a flight in a couple of hours , so we went and parked at the airport and slept in our car.
- 3/5
We had a huge weird stain on the bed that was covered by the pillow. That was the most disappointing part. Other than that everything was fine.
- 1/5
nothing
- 5/5
Our stay was fine. BUT, we arrived at night and the neighborhood was sketchy. So, we felt uncomfortable parking on the street. The hotel shares a building with another establishment and we went into that establishment because it was not clear that they were separate properties. Once in the hotel, we were fine, but we were uncomfortable getting from the car to the hotel's front desk.
- 1/5
Never check in hotel to far from the airport
- 1/5
No picture of surrounding area.
- 3/5
Area around hotel is under construction and it was difficult to navigate.
- 4/5
Ok
- 1/5
The black gentleman at the front desk insisted that I must his female friend to the airport. He became aggressive, loud and abusive on my refusal to do so. He started shouting -“You don’t respect women, This is our neighborhood be careful’. Aggressive front desk, bad and dangerous neighborhood. The hotel is very far from airport though it has JFK in its name - deceptive marketing.
- 1/5
The hotel offered nothing to the guest. Limited parking spaces. I was told to park on the street which is an unsafe area.
- 5/5
It was a great property
- 5/5
thanks
- 2/5
Check-in is not until 3 PM, unless you pay $50 extra. However, there are many people waiting to check in and only one person on staff doing check-ins. So it takes about 4 minutes a check-in, so we had to wait 20 minutes before that. Rooms are small but acceptable and clean.
- 1/5
No airport shuttle
