The location was great. It was near everything. The shower drain went down slow. We had to have them come fix it and clean up the water on the floor. But they responded quickly

Awesome place!

All was good. I know they're going for a "mood" but lighting in public areas could be improved. Lighting in the room is abysmal. Staff was great--allowed us early check in to a great mobility room, perfect for my partner in a wheelchair. Door staff were super friendly and knowledgeable. Beautiful property.

I would have liked a coffee pot in my room. Trash cans besides beds would have been nice. Shower mats would have been nice.

Nothing This was one of the most disappointing hotel experiences I have ever had. After arriving at the hotel around 5:00 PM following a long journey with my family, including tired children, I was informed that the suite I had reserved was still not ready. What made the situation even worse was that the staff could not provide any estimated time for when the room would be available. Their only solution was to offer complimentary drinks at the bar while we waited. I spoke with the manager, who repeatedly apologized but offered no real assistance. When I explained that we had just arrived from a long trip and needed a room immediately, I was simply told there was nothing they could do. The only compensation offered was 10,000 Bonvoy points, which did not address the inconvenience my family experienced. I even requested to speak with a higher-level manager because it seemed the manager on duty had little authority to resolve the issue. Surprisingly, about 30 minutes later, the hotel suddenly “found” another suite on a higher floor and moved us there. This raised an obvious question: if a suitable suite was available, why were we initially told that nothing could be done? The entire situation reflected poor customer service, lack of professionalism, weak problem-solving, and a failure to prioritize guest satisfaction. This was particularly unacceptable considering I had booked a 5-night, 6-day stay and expected a much higher standard of service from a W Hotel. Unfortunately, the hotel itself also appears dated and heavily worn. The property no longer feels fresh, modern, or aligned with the premium image that the W brand promotes. Because of this experience, I can confidently say that I will not return to this hotel and would not recommend it to anyone expecting luxury service or professional hospitality.

Excellent location for those who enjoy the theater and hustle/bustle. Nice bar w/ample seating and DJ on Sat night. Staff very attentive.

Very good

The first room we were given felt cold and uninviting. It smelled old and mildew that I called to complain. They came quickly and showed me two other rooms, one looking the exact same just smelled fresher ans the other a little more modern and bigger which I chose for an additional fee. Our room had a spectular view of Times Square which we appreciated very much until bedtime and we heard constant sirens from ambulance to firefighters. It didn't make for a goodnight sleep. Overall excellent customer service hands down from the moment you reach level 7.
- 3/5
Location is great! Hotel room had a weird smell. Everything else was good. The only thing I didn’t enjoy was the breakfast. For 50$ per person, breakfast was a joke. You only have 4 options to choose from. Food not good at all. Save your money and go have breakfast somewhere else. I could have just ordered from the regular menu but since I had already prepaid to have the breakfast included I just had to go with it, but never again.
- 5/5
I cannot say enough for how great the service was here! Even before my wife and I arrived, the staff reached out to see if there was anything we needed. Front desk check in was smooth and the room was amazing! Perfect views of Times Square! When it rained, staff let us borrow some umbrellas to explore. Absolutely amazing experience! Thank you

My stay at the W New York - Times Square was absolutely phenomenal from beginning to end. If you are visiting New York City for the first time — or even the tenth time — this hotel is in the perfect location for tourists. You are literally right in the heart of Times Square surrounded by the energy, lights, restaurants, shopping, theaters, and nonstop excitement that makes Manhattan so unforgettable. One of the best parts was the convenience of being only half a block from the subway, which made getting around the city incredibly easy. Whether we were heading downtown, exploring Central Park, or visiting other boroughs, transportation was simple and accessible within minutes. The hotel itself exceeded expectations in every way. The lobby had a modern and upscale vibe while still feeling welcoming and comfortable. The rooms were spotless, stylish, and very modern with comfortable beds, excellent lighting, and beautiful views of the city. After spending long days walking through New York, it was the perfect place to relax and recharge at night. Housekeeping did an outstanding job keeping everything fresh and clean throughout the stay. What truly made the experience exceptional, though, was the staff. Every single employee we encountered was professional, friendly, and genuinely helpful. From the front desk to housekeeping to concierge services, everyone treated us like valued guests and went above and beyond to make sure we had an amazing experience.

Great location, if you’re going to see Broadway shows and want to walk to Rockefeller Center. The hotel staff are all outstanding!! The room had wonderfully, clean soft sheets. The rooms are showing a bit of age, but has been well maintained. Love Blue Fin Restaurant; excellent food and perfect dinner before a show!

The location was wonderful literally around the corner of the beginning of Times Square’s red stairs. The hotel was very clean, the staff was extremely professional and welcoming, the “Living Room” (aka the bar) was very warm, cozy and soothing. The hotel was very detailed oriented. The drinks were well prepared and very tasty without the $20 per room credit it would have been a little pricey.

The room was very nice and clean. We were on the 55th floor with a beautiful view however the windows did not lock. They were not double paned nor was there a screen. It was quite noisy but expected for staying in times square.

They room was spacitand nice, great location if are visiting for Broadway shows, nice proximity to the theaters

Right in the heart if times square and everything is walking distance.

- 5/5
I had a wonderful stay at this hotel. Everything was clean, comfortable, and the staff was incredibly welcoming. Nick at check-in was very accommodating and made the arrival process smooth and easy. Adam was a big help with our bags, which made things even more convenient. A special thank you to Connie, our room cleaner, who went above and beyond, she made sure we got back the tablet we accidentally left in the room. That level of care and honesty really stood out. I truly appreciate the team and would absolutely stay here again!
- 4/5
I love the location; it is right in the middle of Time Square.
- 5/5
Absolutely loved staying here. No issues at all from start to finish and I can't think of any negatives. Staff were so helpful and welcoming, even those outside who helped us daily with directions and transport. Location was directly in times square so expect noise 24hrs, however, we loved it. (UK visitors......there's no kettles in rooms, however, staff provided us with a hot water coffee machine!!) Would 1000% recommend and return. Thank you for a memorable stay ❤️🗽
- 4/5
It seems to me that from whatever whenever stayed only whatever…..!
- 4/5
I found this to be ridiculous. The room was clean and at a good temperature. I will say the hallways to the rooms are really not that nice and could use an upgrade. The bed was comfy and we were provided with plenty of towels. It is loud in the room, even on the 21st floor, it's times square after all. If you are a light sleeper then bring ear plugs. I didn't use the amenity center; I just needed a place to sleep so I can't review that part. I wonder if this hotel is pet friendly though because someone walked in with lizards on their shoulders (Yes lizards!) and a carrying case on the elevator with me. When we were seated in the nice lounge area waiting for a friend, the waiters popped by frequently When I called the front desk to ask questions about the destination fee, the woman was RUDE. Overall, I would stay here again because of its central location, but I would say that the front desk staff could use some training.
- 5/5
Beautiful property, spacious rooms. Clean and more than enough amenities. I wish the shades were a little more wide to blacken the room completely. But they still created a dark room. I just prefer black out.

The W is a great hotel for convenience and the staff is excellent however the hotel seemed older than I thought it would be, the smell in the shower was horrible, the concrete in the shower doesn’t seem clean at all and the cleaning staff only changed our towels one day out of our 4 night stay.
- 4/5
Rooms could use some upgrades. Staff was wonderful and I was so grateful for their kindness.

Great location although can be loud on an evening. Great bar area and friendly staff Staff were not too accommodating when we asked for additional assistance with our wedding, no response to emails prior to our visit regarding booking cars and also would not accommodate stools for makeup artist for an hour in the morning
- 4/5
Room was nice and cool. Windows are not sound proof. Great location
- 4/5
I would stay here again if traveling alone or as a couple. There was only 1 drawer and shelf space to unpack which is a little awkward if you’re a family.
- 5/5
We had a great stay, great location and great hotel!
- 3.5/5
The rooms were spacious & clean. The bar area was very good with a wide selection of drinks. In-room dining was excellent service & quality but very pricey. The staff were always very pleasant and willing to help. The security outside were amazing too, friendly and willing to help point you in the right direction. Rooms were cleaned every day and fresh towels put out. Fresh bottles of water were added everyday too. Overall good hotel Although we stayed in Times Square, I would have thought the windows to the hotel rooms would cancel out some of the noise so you could unwind after a long day. This wasn’t the case, it was very very noisy and hard to get to sleep of an evening with all the sirens and other noise going on. The bathrooms are a little dated and the showers weren’t very powerful, occasionally you’d get the horrible stagnant drain smell too but not constantly. Also, the windows on the outside are very dirty it was hard to get a picture! I had to use ChatGPT to clean the photo up for me :)
- 3.5/5
I was expecting more of the room and for the price that I paid, it was not worth it. The room looks a little outdated and I will say it’s more of a 3 1/2 star hotel.

Terrific hotel in the heart of Times Square. Perfect location for our first visit to NYC with our teens. Restaurants were on site, but we did room service for an easier breakfast (pricey, but very nice). Issues with our room AC were addressed quickly. Lovely linens and bedding.
- 2/5
I was truly taken back at the condition of this hotel that is advertised as 4-5 stars! It is in tremendous need of a renovation. It looks run down, the rooms are small, the hallways are dark and certainly not worth the money. Although the location was central, I arrived during road-blocks for a protest and ended up having to walk 4 blocks with 3 suitcases and 2 kids. Something to think about before booking this location.
- 5/5
Love staying at the W; always a great experience and a wonderful time in a very convenient area :)
- 5/5
Staff was amazing, especially the guys down by the door helping us find rides
- 2/5
So expensive for what we got, the tv wasn’t working, they couldn’t fix it. It was logged in to the name of the previous person staying there. Then we had to move rooms, & log in there… resulting on a waste of time because we were only there for that night. The lobby is getting remodeled so it’s a mess.

- 5/5
We love the location. It was centered to everything like broadway shows, subway, restaurant and more. The rooms were cleaned everyday and the personnel were very nice and respectful of our times.we are very happy with our stay.
- 5/5
Room clean, super friendly staff
- 4/5
This was a nice hotel, but we were under the impression that a "W" hotel is "fancier." The location was right in the middle of everything and despite how noisy Times Square is, we were not disturbed while trying to sleep. Our view was boring - just a rooftop and all the screens blocked our view to Broadway.
- 4/5
Friendly staff.
- 5/5
Every single thing about our stay at the W Times Square was phenomenal! I highly recommend this hotel!

This may be the very best hotel experience I've had. The facility was a great location. It was very clean. The staff was the best part. EVERYONE was very kind and eager to make my stay enjoyable. W will be my preferred brand going forward.
- 4.5/5
Proximity to time square. My room smelled like wet carpet and old. I told them about it and offered to move my room. Since I had to travel with minors I had to decline the offer. I had made the request for adjoining rooms weeks prior. A little planning ahead would had went a long way.

Amazing hotel, very friendly staff! Location is perfect! Amazing experience overall
- 5/5
Everything was perfect
- 5/5
Great location! Everything was so close by which made it very convenient. Rooms were great and the only but would be the walls being super thin (could hear everything from conversations of the room next door to the busy streets of New York). Aside from that, staff was super helpful and very friendly. Would definitely stay again.
- 4/5
Rooms are very average for a 5 star hotel
- 4.5/5
The room should have the coffee maker in the room.
- 5/5
Always great as usual

I’ve stayed in other rooms that were cheaper a lot better than this hotel. Beautiful bar and lounge area but the room itself, I wouldn’t stay again. No reglfrigerator for our food, had to end up throwing away due not having one, no fan in the bathroom. Just didn’t care for it.
- 5/5
Very nice clean great staff
- 5/5
Friendly staff, nice sized room and cleaned daily.
- 5/5
amazing time
- 5/5
Upon arrival, my room smelled very clean like bleach, but unfortunately, I’m allergic to bleach as I was airing the room out with the door open housekeeping came by introduced herself, asked if I needed anything or a coffee maker she noticed that the door was left open, and I was standing there, holding it open as I was in the hallway she asked me about it, and I explained to her that I was allergic to bleach she kept apologizing over and over again, which there was no reason for that cause I didn’t tell anybody that I was allergic to bleach, I just always travel with my own cleaning stuff and just wipe everything down myself and I told her that’s what I would totally do and she said absolutely not but for the remainder of my stay, she went out of her way to find a different cleaning solution to clean my room hands-down absolutely amazing. Everybody was super friendly from the moment we arrived
- 4.5/5
No coffee machine in the room on the day I was leaving, I spotted a tiny card telling me I could have one, all I had to do was ask! Why not tell me at the time of check-in?
- 5/5
Beautiful hotel in the heart of times square
- 5/5
In the centre of Times Square - but easy to avoid the tourists when required
- 4/5
great location..standard room but clean
- 4/5
Booked a suite. The view was awesome! Rooms were as pictured on the website. Overall our stay was great with only small complaints, the door to the half bath did not latch, both bathrooms were dim, there was no full length mirror in either room doors to the bedroom were semitransparent and also don't latch so the privacy isn't the greatest. Staff was very courteous!

The other setback is the fact that this hotel does not give any fridge or microwave. Because of my business, I stay in hotels in the city a lot. I have stayed at many around time square. I have stuck to Sheraton (nearby) b/c they give me those. I wanted to try another hotel for 3 days this past weekend, but not giving a fridge was a turnoff b/c I usually get some fresh juice, yogurt and fruits so that I don't have to go out every time I need to eat something fresh. Otherwise, the staff was very nice and helpful.

The worst experience I have ever had at ANY hotel EVER. Staying here, I got horrible food poisoning from Dos Caminos on the first floor, as I wake up early in the morning to throw up, I happen to notice that my entire room is covered ankle-deep in hot water. I guess they do not properly maintain their heating system, because a heating pipe burst in my room which resulted in a ton of my items being damaged including $2000 boots, a Macbook Pro, Airpods, $400 shirt horribly stained. This happened in many rooms. The hotel took over an hour to get us moved out of the room we were staying in into a new room, they compensated me for one night, and told me they would pay for my damaged items. When I called the head of security after leaving the property, he said that they cannot do anything for me because it was not "documented." Basically I am down thousands of dollars from staying at this hotel, they refuse to compensate me for my items, and many of the staff members are very unhelpful. They will tell you "no we cannot do that" or "no we don't have that" about something, and then you keep pushing and they are like "okay," and then they fulfill your request. This happened with in-room dining requests multiple times and at the front desk. Speak to the manager if you want anything done for you at all. I also had a $700 bracelet stolen. If you want a nice hotel experience, there are MUCH better options in NYC that are far more hospitable and accommodating. Do yourself a favor.
- 3/5
Good location for time square but it’s over priced. Definitely did not feel like a W hotel. Wouldn’t stay there again.
- 5/5
great location and service!
- 5/5
Everything stood out…staff was GREAT..rooms are small but GREAT…we stayed at the W in Times Square but due to the bad weather that was headed to our hometown of Nashville, we had to leave early, so the staff let us leave early and refunded our money with no problem…that says a lot right there…

The hotel staff was SO friendly and helpful. I would stay there again & again. What a great location too!
- 5/5
Excellent, will recommend this hotel
- 3.5/5
Staff was great. Breakfast was the worst part The breakfast in the morning that I paid extra for when booking....was horrible. We waited at hostess stand with 4 other couples to be sat. When I finally walked inside I was told to go bavk and they would get to us. Once seated, the order was wrong and when I told them, they never fixed it nor came back to ask how I was doing.
- 2.5/5
The location. It didn’t have the same luxury feel the W hotel chain carries around the world. It felt more like a Holiday Inn experience. The room was dark, barely any lighting. No ventilation fan or window in the bathroom, making getting ready for the day a hot and stressful experience. We also paid for a room with a skyline view, but the only view we had was of guests at the hotel across the street looking back at us.
- 5/5
Everything. Location. All of the staff. From the kick ass doorman who were on point always making sure door was opened for my lady and if I needed any thing. The check in. Perfect. And hooked us up with some extra stuff we asked for. The maid was very polite and took care of our room when we went out. We talked and I know she adjusted her schedule to get ours while gone and then back to what she was doing. Nothing. 2/2 perfect. I’ll return.
- 3/5
The room quality needs a little love and the fridge was broken. The lobby was the nicest part of the hotel, a little dark with the lighting but it smelled great.
- 4/5
Staff was amazing. Fantastic location. Room was a little underwhelming. Old looking shower features. Warn out carpet in places.
- 5/5
Great location
- 5/5
The rooms were great and the location was spectacular! Right where we wanted to be
- 3/5
The fan in the bathroom didn’t work. The wall were thin so I heard everything on the room next door, including late night sex. It was gross . The room was clean but the lighting was horrible, felt like a hospital room.
- 5/5
Been there twice. Great hotel.
- 4/5
Loved my stay . Close to all amenities
- 5/5
Great
- 3/5
Overall, the staff was nice... wish the rooms were cleaner; there were spots in the carpet, and the bathroom was not very tidy. We did enjoy our stay in New York...the hotel is in a prime location... we normally stay in Times Square with another hotel establishment that we decided to give a try with the "W" hotel.

Breakfast was awesome and the location is ideal
- 5/5
Great staff, great location and very clean.
- 5/5
I’ve stayed here twice in the past few months. Both times the staff has been excellent and the rooms very clean. Highly recommend!
- 5/5
Amazing room with views for 4 nights. I am so glad we chose the W. Impeccable service, friendly, and helpful staff. Quiet in the hotel. Not a single complaint. Great location. The package deal made it affordable for 2 educators.
- 5/5
The room was very nice and the service was fabulous
- 5/5
Best ever
- 5/5
Clean room, helpful staff, great location, great bar!
- 5/5
Fantastic stay! 4 moms on a girls trip. Great location, staff went above and beyond, very clean room. Only minor thing was no hot water the night before we left. But, no complaints and would 100% recommend. The rooms could use some updating (lighting!), but they also are rooms in a huge city with millions of visitors. We were also very surprised af the room space!
- 5/5
Steps away from TimeSquare.’Room is very spacious and has a bar downstairs and multiple rooms restaurants. Love the stay and the front desk was very nice and helpful
- 2/5
Room was a handicapped room and they didn’t even let us know that. We had to switch rooms pack the luggages the next day. Horrible experience. Breakfast was disaster!!!!
- 5/5
Staff was great.
- 5/5
Everything was perfect!
- 5/5
Spotless room and great staff
- 5/5
Top notch. Great staff. Excellent restaurant. Perfect location for Broadway.
- 2/5
Every morning the housekeeping or minibar staff wipe me up, AC did such a weird sound that sometimes we were not able to sleep comfortably… please be aware that you’ll get a 20$ credit everyday for the living bar… I was never told that at the check in.
- 4/5
The hotel is great, you have a good view of the city skyline and customer service was excellent. That being said it’s far to close to Times Square, which is on me. It was my first time visiting NYC and I did not anticipate how inconvenient being that close to time square was going to be. You’re instantly swamped with crowds as soon as you exit the doors. Not to mention that the sirens and horns do not cease until about 3:00 Am. As I said the property is great but I will never stay that close to Times Square again.
- 5/5
Great
- 4/5
The concierge David. He was helpful and kind which made my trip. He was very helpful and informative. The ease of talking to him weather itbwaa about our daily tours, where to eat or the places to visit. He had a smiling face ans always ready to help. It was my husband birthday and he had a bottle of champagne and cake sent to the room with a personalized card 😊
- 3/5
Great location, the staff was very friendly. However, the bathroom was outdated and a little dirty. The bathroom faucet dripped all night because it was hard to turn off. Once again the staff was amazing. The housekeeper on our (19th) floor made sure we were well taken care of. I wish I would have gotten her name.
- 3/5
B+
- 5/5
Everything, the staff, the room etc. would definitely stay here again!
- 5/5
Location was ideal. Cleanliness. Staff. Appreciated the noon check out time.
- 5/5
The staff was very friendly and the view from our room was so cool
- 5/5
We had a great stay.
- 5/5
Great
- 3/5
Location is great- right on the corner of the Time square. Good size room for NY.
- 5/5
Staff was great, especially Adam. Hotel location was excellent. The Marvelous suite was plenty of room for our family of 4
- 5/5
Amazing !!! employees are the best especially Yara
- 3/5
- Minus 2 stars : Small rooms, elevator noise can be heard inside room, atleast on the lower floors. Not much value to justify the additional $40 daily destination fee.
- 5/5
Love the W. It’s hip and funky and close to everything
- 5/5
The hotel was very nice and clean! The staff was friendly.
- 5/5
Great location, nice atmosphere, comfortable rooms, easy check in and out.
- 5/5
Great experience. Valet staff was amazing
- 3/5
The staff was wonderful, very courteous. The problem was the noise level. The elevator was so loud, it sounded like someone drilling on the street outside. Our room was in front of the elevator and the elevator traffic was consistent throughout the night. The air conditioner wasn't cooling the room. It was so stuffy I had to open the window. You can imagine the noise from Time Square. So all the noises combined, left me without sleep. I haven't slept in 4 days. I feel like I'm going to snap. I wouldn't recommend this hotel.
- 5/5
Everything was great!!!
- 5/5
The staff was friendly and accommodating. The location was great also. We had a great experience.

Great location! Friendly and helpful staff!!!

Great
- 4/5
We picked this hotel because of the location.
- 4/5
Overall the stay was great! Staff friendly, hotel in a convenient area to get to shopping stores and dinning. I loved our high floor and the housekeepers were amazing, super kudos to them. Just be alert that in addition to the amount you pay to book your hotel, there is a hidden daily convenience fee of $40 plus dollars. Also they offer a $20 bar credit daily but when you go to their bar they jack the drink prices up to$39 so you really paying for your drink so their basically just luring you to their bar to add more charges to their already expensive room. But it’s NEW YORK so just be prepared to spend some money. Our beds were soft and the rooms were spacious. Not enough drawers or storage areas to put clothes if it’s multiple people traveling. Our flight got delayed and the front desk allowed us additional time to check out, I thought that was cool. If you don’t get a high floor you’ll hear a lot of busy traffic. We were able to hear some on the 56th floor but it wasn’t too bad. Overall I’d recommend the hotel again.

Reminiscing of my last stay here and this one brings back not so pleasant memories. Marriott Bonvoy members should be treated with value of their membership regardless if it's through a 3rd party. You're still choosing to patronize their hotel and utilize the extra amenities. I was pleased with my room but it remained freezing cold even when I sat the thermostat to 80, left for hours and came back to still being cold. So having the discomfort of setting in the room fully clothed, wrapped in a blanket throughout most of the night. After being so uncomfortable and calling fromt desk to complain the maintenance guy came and did his burning cables trick to heat the thermostat. It was.very disappointing to have this issue that delay comfort. The lighting still sucks and to not have coffee readily available especially when its cold is unacceptable. Note to self.to not stay here again.
- 5/5
Great location, friendly staff. Rooms are small but it is in the heart of time square. My only feedback for hotel is add some drawers for people staying a couple of days we had to sort/live out of our suite cases.
- 5/5
Amazing service and staff!
- 5/5
Clean room, great location, and very helpful staff. Will definitely visit again.
- 4/5
Everything was great!
- 5/5
Great experience all around. Our room was clean, comfortable, and had a great view. Staff were courteous and friendly.
- 3/5
The room needed lots of attention. Just seemed rundown. The staff was great. It’s right in Times Square so it was very loud at all hours. The view was nice.
- 3/5
The A/C do not keep the rooms cool- both rooms were very warm.
- 5/5
Beautiful view from our room on the 43rd floor, we got a corner room and it was great! The bathroom was on the smaller side, but no complaints as we were only in there to rest before the next fun-filled day! Super close to subway transportation, and right in the heart of times square. Very convenient to go anywhere really. Hotel staff were very kind and accommodating. We arrived at 1pm, and we were able to check into our room early, another plus! Had a great time!
- 5/5
No breakfast, great bar. Great location
- 5/5
We had a great stay. The staff was lovely, helpful, and efficient. An extremely busy weekend to say the least was met with zero issue and all smiles
- 3/5
Shower water was Luke warm. The location is amazing. The rooms need updating. Very small and old carpet.
- 3/5
The rooms were too small for us. The furniture is odd in its attempt to be modern. The lobby is fabulous.
- 3/5
We enjoyed our stay, the property is in a great location. The only two things I would warn others of is a higher “incidental” hold on your card of $200, I just wish I knew this going into my stay because I took only spending money on my trip. The air conditioning in the room wasn’t great. These were minor things though and we were pleased with our stay.
- 5/5
Friendly staff, great amenities, large size rooms, clean and a great lounge area and gym.
- 5/5
I really enjoyed my stay. The stay were extremely friendly and professional. I have to say that our room stylist was extraordinary!
- 5/5
Location is the best if you want Times Square on or broadway. Hotel is very nice. Get the king spectacular room for a view of Time Square. I paid during booking for the breakfast and it is worth it. The amount of food was better than most hotels. They had a daily bar credit
- 5/5
The hotel was awesome. We got a complimentary upgraded room because it was my daughter's birthday. The city view from the room was amazing! The staff was awesome, we had room service, snacks and water were refilled daily. I highly recommended the W hotel in times square for anyone planning to visit new york!
- 5/5
Clean and convenient
- 1/5
I was charged incorrectly for my stay. I had already paid taxes and fees on the stay and was double-charged for this. No mention was ever made about this before charging my card.
- 4/5
The location is in Times Square so you will hear City sounds but that is to be expected given the location, it did not impact my sleep or my stay. The location is great.
- 5/5
Great locating and helpful staff
- 3/5
Good central location and friendly staff. Thank you. My biggest gripe was the bathroom. Confusing sink and faucet, shower head too low for tall guest, very average quality of materials used in bath.
- 5/5
Excellent! Nice corner view of Times Square !
- 5/5
Staff very helpful. Great location. Definitely stay again
- 2/5
Lack of staff support. When we arrived at the hotel, I mentioned the incident about the hotel shuttle. I told the staff that there was no communication via text or email regarding airport pick-up. No explanation given. So we proceeded to our room.
- 5/5
All the staff was phenomenal.
- 3/5
The room was not too clean and dated. There was old wrappers laying in the corner. The hotel was in a great location. Staff was nice and accommodating.
- 4/5
Clean room
- 2/5
Staff were amazing however the hotel itself is in much need of modernisation, it does not compare to W London or Barcelona.
- 3/5
The location is amazing. Fridge wasn’t working and ruined the things I stored inside. The interior seems a bit dated. The lounge/bar doesn’t have food on the main floor (7/F).
- 5/5
Clean room, great view and lovely hotel
- 5/5
Clean, easy, close to Times Square
- 5/5
Staff amenities
- 2/5
I chose to stay at this property based on previous reviews. The staff were excellent and the location was convenient; however, I should have taken more seriously the comments regarding noise. The noise level at night was particularly disruptive, and I was repeatedly awakened by sounds from outside as well as from neighboring rooms. Additionally, I was perplexed by the inconsistency in cleanliness. While the room itself appeared well maintained, the restroom seemed to have been only partially cleaned. The shower had significant dust accumulation in the corners, and the sink area was notably dirty, showing streaks that suggested it had not been properly cleaned after prior guests. I ultimately had to clean these areas myself. For these reasons, I do not plan to stay at this property again.
- 5/5
Great hotel in Times Square. Convenient and easily walkable to Theatre district and other areas. Safe, clean, bed was comfortable. Staff was very professional and accommodating.
- 4/5
Location is EVERYTHING! The living room is an amazing social space - comfy and ample seating - great background music!
- 4/5
Room was nice, views were good. Very kind staff. Shower was awful. Hasnt been updated in who knows how long and you have to practicality stand against the facet to get under the water.
- 5/5
Muy acogedor
- 4/5
I love it
- 5/5
The rooms were a little “dated” but very clean and kept clean. Everyone working there was so nice and very helpful.
- 5/5
Hotel staff was amazing - very friendly and accommodating.
- 5/5
Room was good and cleaning staff was great! The conceirge was excellent and on point. The early AM front desk was excellent as well. Very convenient location and safe! Yes it's expensive but what is not expensive in NYC.
- 5/5
Employees are super nice and kind
- 3/5
The staff was great but unless this is your first trip to the city and you want to stay in the middle of the action then I don’t recommend the location. It was incredibly noisy and if you are coming or going in an uber it takes forever to get to you because of the Time Square traffic. One time I just jumped out and walked to hotel because we were at a standstill. The bed is incredibly comfortable and they use Davine products in their bathrooms which are excellent. My room smelled like smoke and that was really bothersome. You have to take one elevator up to 7 to check in then another up or down. They’re so crowded sometimes you have to wait because they only have three and people checking out seem to have tons of luggage. My room came with a complimentary cocktail but both nights when I looked at the bar area it was crowded and loud. Didn’t see a nice quiet spot at the bar for a drink. Overall if you’re in your 20-30’s and want to enjoy the hustle of the city then this is a great location and you can walk everywhere but if you’re older and want less crowds stay away.
- 5/5
Great location right in Times Square! All the staff were extremely nice and professional. Our room was clean with nice amenities. The only downfall is the daily destination fee tacked on top of the room price.
- 1/5
.
- 3/5
The rooms are not giving 5 or 4 stars I don't know if I would stay here again. Oh I almost forgot the construction outside of our window.
- 3/5
Personnel service and treat was excellent.
- 2/5
-Room cleaness; so so.. they did touch up but need to do better job -Location; Right in the middle of the time square - Room and bathroom are small Anyone who concerns in the hotel, look in the mirrors in the room. Useless to have. So foggy we thought there is smoke in the room.
- 4/5
Staff were very nice
- 5/5
Staff were very courteous!
- 4/5
At checkin, W hotel told to us: they are charging us $40 every day what we can use in the bar, use it or loose it. I think this is unacceptable! We never ever go to any W hotel.
- 5/5
Perfect location smack dab in the middle of Times Square. Hip vibe, great service and sexy rooms. Enjoy!
- 5/5
Great atmosphere on the main floor where the bar is located. Room did not have a fridge but instead a stocked mini bar. No microwave n staff were unable to assist with that. Perfect location, right near train.

- 4/5
Staff were exceptional. Facillities were dated. Couch in reception area cracked and worn. First floor entry under utilized. Minor details such as caulking in bathroom areas showed poor craftsmanship.
- 5/5
Really good property in a good place close to everything and anything would 100% recommend

Staff and their warm hospitality

Outstanding hospitality the entire stay! Easiest check in and checkout ever. Looking forward to returning and staying at the W once again.

- 5/5
The room was clean, the staff were friendly, and the location was perfect.
- 5/5
Great location, friendly staff
- 5/5
The room was acceptable, the amenities were fine, but the standout feature was the staff. From the doorman, bartenders, retail staff, they were each very professional, yet cordial and friendly and very welcoming. I would stay again if I needed to be in the area for another event.
- 4/5
Location os great

Great hotel! Loved everything’s about it! Definitely will stay here again!
- 5/5
Very courteous staff any requests was fulfilled. Room clean and spacious for NYC.
- 3/5
It’s a stupid complaint but the bathroom sinks I bit
- 5/5
My flight landed hours before check in, but hotel staff was still able to accommodate an early check in for my daughter and I. Hotel is very clean and i loved how stylish the room was. We had a great view of Times Square and the hotel is in a great location to a lot of different attractions. The $40 hotel credit for food and drinks at the hotel were also a great added touch. I would definitely book a stay here again!
- 5/5
Super happy that we stayed at the W Hotel. Very convenient location to everything and only a couple blocks from the subway. The rooms we were at held the noice level way down which was great. Looking forward to staying here again w/our family.
- 5/5
Great location and friendly staff. Room is a bit worn and beds are so so small.
- 4/5
Staff were very accommodating, room was relatively clean. Important to be aware of the $40 daily additional fee that isn’t obvious when booking
- 1/5
Staff was rude
- 3/5
wasn’t told about resort fee my price from expedia said all taxes and fees included in price then i get hit with additional fees on check in and check out unacceptable
- 3/5
The room was not great. No fridge, no coffeemaker tho you could request one. The batteries in tv charger went dead and I had to call front desk at midnight to get new batteries. And the cleaner never gave me room order door hangers so had to request those. It was a bit of a mess.
- 3/5
The hotel needs some updating. It is very well located in Times Square, very walkable.we had very disturbing noise from construction about 8:30Am that woke us up.
- 5/5
Staff was amazing first stay in NY and it was a blast! Will room with the W later on when I come back to NY 💪

Staff is amazing, nice location,
- 5/5
Hotel was very close to time square and other places to site see will definitely be returning soon
- 5/5
Great location, professional staff, beautiful hotel the downside was the bed size felt more like a xl twin then a double bed and for 2 it was a bit tight, also no bathroom vent
- 3/5
We used Valet Parking. They left the car parked on the street in front of the Hotel despite charging me about $90 dollars for the parking. And they left it unlocked. I had to lock the car. When I inquired outside one of the valets as he ducked out said that "the guy coming soon" and entered the building through an employee door. It was there until past sunrise.

For the price the hotel needs a remodel. Staff was great and cleaning of the rooms as well.
- 4/5
Property was a great location, but many of the smaller details fall short.

Hidden destination fees. The sliding bathroom door was broken. My partner was trapped inside. I had to rescue her. Maintenance came promptly and we were moved to another room. I still have gotten any money back from the hold on my credit card.

Their staff were super friendly as soon as soon as we walked in and were able to check us in early. The property is in a very convenient area; right in the middle of everything.
- 3/5
I was really excited about this hotel. The decor and styling is wonderful. The room could have been cleaner and trash was left under the bed. The food in the restaurants was delicious. The views are amazing.
- 5/5
Friendly staff. Thankful for early checkin
- 4/5
Air conditioning was not up to American standards and did not keep the room very cool at night. Room had gorgeous view, but was a little dirty and there was stained carpets throughout the hotel
- 5/5
Favorite!
- 5/5
A/C didn’t cool in our room.
- 2/5
very noisy -impossible to sleep !!!!
- 5/5
Amazing location and great room!
- 3/5
The bath water was brown and the bathroom door would stick and not close.
- 5/5
The staff were very nice and accommodating, when I asked if I could get a kettle they not only sent it but they provided tea and everything else I would need to go with it. The location is great, right near a subway station and the bed was heavenly to sleep on. My only complaints is that it is super expensive and I would've thought that wifi would be included in that price but they wanted a additional $18 a day for it. But other than that it was a great and comfortable stay.
- 4/5
Seemed a bit rundown. Staff were great. It’s on top of Times Square so I understand why it’s expensive compared to other hotels
- 5/5
'Whatever Whenever' is in a prime location to Times Square, Broadway District and all the main tourist attractions and landmarks. In the heart of the hustle and bustle of Times Square experience the energy and vibe of NYC. Make it a memorable trip.
- 5/5
Great location and staff were so hospitable. Great experience.

- 4/5
Excellent service
- 5/5
Beautiful and comfortable hotel
- 4/5
The rooms were clean, the view from our room on the 33 floor was great. It’s right in the heart of time square. So shopping, food, subway, broadway shows all right there. Then Rockefeller square is an easy 10 min walk. So we were able to do a lot with minimal transportation needs.

I wouldn't stay at the W Times Square again. I was in town for a work conference. I think if someone was in NYC as a first-time tourist, this could be a good location. The rooms are below the standard of similarly priced hotels in the city. Everything is old and dated. Just so many better options at this price point.
- 4/5
This was right in Times Square and convenient to alot we wanted to do.

The staff was kind and professional. Didn't really understand the deposit requirement, but hotel was in a great location in Times Square! Everything that was needed was conveniently within walking distance.

Very Clean ...Being right there on time square it wasn't noisy from the inside BUT step out the door noise and congestion..Overall i would go back..Bar area was closed off due to modeling shoots for fashion week..that was a bummer..Overall Enjoyed the Stay
- 5/5
Clean room , convient and easy to move around to great sites ….. !!

Free photo booth in the corner of the lobby is a great touch. I was there with 3 teenagers and that was a hit. The hotel is nice and visually appealing.. It is next to Times Square. It was great location for us because that is what we wanted coming into the city: to be in the middle of it all in a funky hotel. Staff was very nice.
- 4/5
Booked this hotel for 5 nights - 4 people sharing a room. Great location in Manhattan, main attractions within walking distance. Room size ok considering there were 4 of us. Plenty of dining options nearby. Very friendly staff. More than happy to stay here again.
- 5/5
Great location room was clean.
- 5/5
I was very please with the W hotel! The staff was very helpful and accommodating.
- 5/5
I enjoyed my stay. Everyone was welcoming and helpful. Housekeeping was great!
- 3/5
The convenience of the location was phenomenal if you are looking for a place right off time square. Keep in mind that it can still be noisy with all the activity downtown. The only complaint was the drain in our bathroom. Had two be very mindful of the length of showers since the room flooded twice. Believe that the hotel was to make updates after Check out.

Amazing location, fun environment,

0 investment. 0 services, no coffe or hot water in the room, but you can find condoms and lubricant to sale.
- 5/5
The staff was excellent and accommodating great stay
- 2/5
Liked the location, remote did not work, the wifi was spotty, the bar code for room service did not work. Sound proof widows would help. gentlemen at check in was extremely nice and welcoming.

Great!

If you’re planning to stay in Times Square, the W Hotel is a well-located option right in the heart of it all. While the hotel is a bit dated, the staff is friendly and helpful. Keep in mind that, given its central location, it can be quite noisy—something to consider if you’re a light sleeper. Overall, it’s a convenient and solid choice for those who want to be in the middle of the action.
- 5/5
It was a perfect location
- 5/5
Hotel is in a great location and staff was really helpful and friendly. Hotel is 25 steps away from timesquare and a few minutes away from Broadway shows and subway train. Everything is about about a 10 -20 minute walk. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone.
- 1/5
This had to be my worse stay ever . The windows were dirty, the bathroom was dirty. The room was extremely small. $500 for a room like that. I had to go to dinner in jeans because I couldn’t get a steamer for my dress. I really regret staying here. I stay at the W in Los Angeles and I love it there. I’m from New York and I’m beyond disappointed.
- 5/5
W New York exceeded my expectations. It wasn’t mentioned much on recent travel sites, but I booked it through Expedia and hoped for the best. Centrally located in midtown, very close to Times Square and Broadway. Staff was very helpful and nice. Rooms were clean and fit our family of four just fine. We were on the 23rd floor and could hear street noise but it didn’t bother us. Beds were comfy. We would stay here again!
- 3/5
The cleaning was terrible. When we arrived the first day, we found some socks in a corner of the room. The second day, we had left a soda can, and when we returned, it was in the same place. They didn't throw it away.
- 5/5
Really had a nice time.
- 4/5
We did not get the view we expected but it was ok
- 5/5
Staff were incredibly helpful, kind and friendly. Location is incredibly convenient-literally right next to Times Square. Dining options are incredibly affordable. There is something for anyone’s taste. Variety of food options, prices and atmosphere. Property was clean.
- 5/5
This was a fantastic place to stay while visiting New York city. Right at Times Square. Wonderful VIP experience. Wifi easy and all available streaming services just a click away. Staff is professional and friendly.
- 5/5
I loved my stay at this hotel. Its location is unbeatable and room was amazing. Staff was friendly and helpful. Whenever I return to NY I will definitely try to stay here again.
- 3/5
The property is in the perfect location~ so close to all the action. And the staff was super friendly. The room was huge by NYC standards but really poorly designed. No nightstand? One drawer? So much wasted space! It was also super dark, even with every lamp on.
- 5/5
Great place to stay if you want to be right in the city and have a wonderful view of Times Square. Will definitely be coming back in the future.
- 5/5
Sally is great.
- 4/5
While you get a voucher for 2 free drinks and some other perks the 40 dollar a day fee was ridiculous.
- 3/5
The staff on front desk was not kind

Convenient

Amazing service and quick check in
- 5/5
We were celebrating a special day and were surprised when the hotel delivered cake and champagne to our room to celebrate. The room stylist saw our occasion in the room and had this treat sent making our stay truly special.
- 4/5
Unfortunately, we came during fashion week so it was a little loud in the lobby area and being next to Times Square, it was little loud at night but to be expected. Besides that, the staff was great and very accommodating. The room service was amazing! Would stay here again!
- 3/5
I was on the 23rd floor and you can hear all the noise from Times square. Literally there is no sound proof at all. Hotel is outdated and for the same price you have way better options in the same block or around Time square. Staff was all right but the outdated rooms and hallways also with the noisy rooms it is a deal breaker for me.
- 5/5
Just perfect
- 5/5
Location was amazing! Nice place with an amazing view. We had a corner room looking at the Hudson River and Time Square.
- 5/5
Spectacular views, comfortable bed, beautiful clean room. Staff personnel are exceptiuonal
- 3/5
However, I didn’t find it very kid-friendly. Staff were not very welcoming; the check-in felt rushed, and I wasn’t given my prepaid breakfast vouchers until I realized later and called to ask. I did appreciate the late check-out extension (by 1.5 hours), but overall, the staff did not come across as friendly. As for breakfast, it was very disappointing. After trying it for two days, we ended up giving our vouchers away to others because we knew we wouldn’t go back. If location is all that matters to you, this place is perfect, but otherwise, it falls short.

Convenient , updated,friendly staff

I want to give 10 stars for this hotel! It was the best experience in New York’s hotel!!! I will totally coming back many times with my family, friends or for the work trips! The manager of the hotel were very respectful to my request since we were celebrating my friend birthday, they did a lot of surprises for us in the room! I’m very grateful for it! Totally recommend to visit!

Staff was amazing
- 5/5
We had the best time and absolutely loved where we stayed. Right in the heart of time square.
- 3/5
Property was dated. Not as eloquent as I expected. The service was good and the location was good.
- 4/5
Surprisingly quiet. Great location
- 5/5
Everything was great. Just consider the mandatory destination fee.
- 3/5
The $40 daily resort fee is extortionate especially considering you don’t even get free WiFi! $15 a day for what most hotels in the world offer for free is an absolute outrage. The hotel is dated and is no longer the luxe W it used to be.
- 3/5
This hotel was pretty average in my opinion, but I do have high standards because I travel a lot. The staff was friendly and helpful but not overly accommodating which is what I’m used to. The building is older and outdated. The area was perfect. That is a huge plus. Walking distance to 5th ave, located in the middle of Times Square. This is a 3.7 or 3.8 star hotel. More than 3.5 and less than 4. I thought the value wasn’t there, but you pay to stay in Times Square. Overall would recommend for the area.
- 5/5
This is a very nice hotel and great location. In the heart of time square. Literally walk out the hotel and turn left and you're in the heart of it. I had a very big room that was nice and had two tvs and a king size bed and a sectional. My only complaint is the beds weren't really comfortable but other than that i loved it and will stay again. Oh one more thing when you get to the hotel you will be some fee i cant remember the name of it but its 40 dollars a day
- 5/5
Great ambiance, safety, and convenience.
- 5/5
Every single staff member was so accommodating, especially the employees who worked the valet. They experience was so effortless and I can’t wait to have the opportunity to stay there again
- 5/5
What a tremendous stay my wife & I had. Front desk was able to give us early check in. Very friendly & helpful. The view was outstanding. We came from Miami &:will return. The bar was very cool

Staff was outstanding
- 5/5
Location is perfect
- 5/5
Room was clean and was at convenient walking distance to several tourist spots.
- 4/5
Close to time square so noise level was pretty bad for sleeping
- 3/5
Energy efficiency rating F posted on the door. Heard sirens all night long. Bathroom had cracked sink and broken tiles on floor. Coffee maker has to be requested. Phone did not work.
