For a family of five the suite we were in had enough room for us to spread out. The main problem we had was there was no hot water for our room and many of the other guests. We got back at 10pm on our last night stay. We were told by the front desk that we should have hot water by 10:30. After waiting till 11pm we still didn’t have hot water. I went to the front desk several times and kept getting the same answer “20 more minutes” by the time it was midnight all 5 of us had to take cold showers. I also asked several time about getting compensated for our last night, the front desk’s answer was there is no manager here try again tomorrow at 10am when the manager comes in. I checked two times after 10am and was told the manager is not coming in today. I got the run around and still have yet to hear anything back from the manager about compensation. And no one at the front desk is able to give a refund without the manager there.

Good stay for price! Staff were nice and accommodating.
- 1/5
Good location and friendly staff Air conditioning broken and reported to management on two different days, but nobody came to look at it. Issue with room key, which took three tries to get it fixed. Room was clean, but facility was not. The people that worked there were friendly, but were incredibly busy and seemed understaffed.

This is the 2nd time we use this hotel for our stay in New York. Highly recommend!
- 1/5
The bathroom had mold and dirt on the walls, and it clearly did not feel clean. Overall, the room and hotel areas did not meet basic cleanliness expectations. The lobby looked unattractive and poorly maintained. In addition, the staff was not friendly and did not make us feel welcome. I would not recommend this hotel and would not stay here again.
- 1/5
We did not get the room that we asked for. The first room that we got was filthy. We could not get them to clean it. The air did not work, which they did fix. Then they ended up moving us to the room that they had originally said was not available. That room was dirty as well. We were overcharged for the room. The whole experience was absolutely horrible. And I would greatly appreciate it if somebody would contact us.

this hotel is ok, staff is really good and friendly, regading the rooms they need more maintanance.

The family room worked well for us. It was large and clean.

This is a false advertising and reviews must be fake cause this was horrible and dirty switched rooms and all were not cleaned well. The nerve to claim to be 4 Starr BS ! I wish I can sue them! Not no four star hotel

Continently located from Penn Station, clean room and bathroom, and friendly staff. Wish could check in earlier than 3pm and that the luggage “storage” room was more secure than a sliding barn door (at least some sort of lock would be nice for patrons).
- 4.5/5
The Wyndham offers sizable rooms for NYC, arguably some of the biggest rooms in this area of NYC for the price point. Well appointed, comfortable and plenty of room. I stay in this area almost monthly and would highly recommend this hotel for the price point. Also, 4 elevators, big benefit. Other properties in the area have 2-3 and it can result in waiting times. No complaints

All good , very nice service, perfect location
- 4/5
The room was clean and the bed was comfortable. Nice fluffy towels in the bathroom. Was able to store luggage easily before and after checkout. There were ongoing renovations on the upper floors, so the rooftop was closed and there were old mattresses stacked in the street (and sometimes in the hall). Lobby area needed a good cleaning.

- 4/5
Overall the hotel and the rooms were clean , it was hot outside so the room was nice and cool . The staff was nice , even housekeeping and extra linen was brought to the room very quick when requested. The rooftop was closed as things were being renovated If it was open it would have been nice with a great view. Would I stay again … Yes

The location was accessible to a lot of places we wanted to see. The beds were very comfortable and clean and the bathroom was clean. The room was modern and attractive. One of the elevators got stuck and would not move while we were on it and there were old mattresses in the hallway on the day when we arrived. I had to wait an hour for an extra towel the first night and was tired.

The lobby area was very nice. There were 5 elevators but only 1 seemed to be working - 2 were open and had equipment in them. I was given a large, nicely appointed corner room on the 15th floor. It was 81 degrees and the AC did not work. I had to call the front desk twice and someone came up to reset the breaker and system. The second time I called it rang so long it went to reservations off-site. It took 50 minutes for them to come up to reset it. The AC was very loud but at least it blew cold air. When I came back to my room in the evening, the AC was again not working, but it was now 76 degrees. It did not work the whole night. When I checked out in the morning, I mentioned this to the front desk and the guy said most of the building had AC going on and off. So that's not a good sign. The 15th floor balcony area was stuffed with room items (boxes of comforters, frames). Not sure if they're renovating but it was an eyesore. The room itself was actually nice. They had bath sheets (large) and 2 sinks in my room (bunk beds plus a queen or king bed). There were 2 bottles of water, 2 small pretzel packs (free), and a Keurig with coffee/tea. They have menus to order from nearby - Indian and burgers. The clientele and staff was mostly Indian. They have a nice looking bar in the lobby and you can get breakfast there for a fee. I did not partake. The place seems like a good deal for families - I paid $300 all in for the room, but the AC was a real problem.
- 2/5
The only staff that was nice, friendly, and helpful was the lady doing housekeeping. The breakfast was terrible.
- 5/5
Very clean place, frinedly staff, its at walking distance from 34th street Penn station subway.

It's very difficult to find a room for a larger party in NYC. We had a party of 4, but it included a grandmother, a daughter and two adult grandkids, of different genders, so we needed a space with several beds. Tryp delivered! We had one large bed, bunk beds and a pull out couch. The room itself was VERY spacious. Was this a fancy hotel? No. But for a landing spot for a large party, it was terrific. The staff was WONDERFUL. We had an issue with the A/C in the room, and they immediately sent someone up. (and it turned out there were two units in the room and we just didn't know where the thermostat was - so that was our problem, anyway), The location was very convenient to the subway and to both Port Authority and Penn Station. There is also a bar in the lobby and tables where you could relax and have a bite to eat. The room could have been cleaner. We aren't very picky, but I think others could have an issue with this. The pull out sofa was a bit dusty and there were spots in the bathroom that weren't spotless, but it was totally fine.

Room was fine, not bad, but the room service food was horrible. Should have asked for a refund on it all. We all were worried we’d get sick from it so threw it away and went out to find something else.
- 3/5
My husband and I stayed for one night. The A/C didn't work properly at room 105. Somebody came and told us to shut and start it again after some minutes but nothing changed. We slept in a hot spot. Next day the receptionist said it was a problem of A/Cs of the whole building .
- 0.5/5
We booked a room with two queen beds, but unfortunately the air conditioning was not working during our stay. On the first night, the thermostat was stuck at 79°F and would not go any lower. After reporting the issue to the front desk, we were told it only needed to be reset. A staff member came to reset it, but the problem was not resolved, and we had to spend the entire first night without air conditioning. The next morning, we left the hotel and returned later hoping to rest, but the AC was still not working. We reported the issue again, and another staff member inspected it and informed us that it was not a reset issue after all and would take approximately three hours to repair. When I explained to the front desk that we had already spent the previous night without AC and could not wait another three hours after walking around New York City all day, the employee responded in an unprofessional tone, saying that I had only reported the issue five minutes earlier. I had to explain again that the problem had been reported the night before and had never been fixed. I requested a room change, but initially I was told there were no available rooms. Only after I became visibly upset and raised the issue in front of other guests in the lobby was I told that they would check for room availability. The most disappointing part was not just the AC issue itself, but the lack of urgency and poor customer service in handling a problem that had already affected our stay for more than 24 hours.

Okay location The air conditioning was broken so we had to buy a fan and keep the windows open at night. Which then bugs came in obviously. They were out of wash cloths for the duration of our stay and the room was still dirty when we arrived.
- 3/5
I stayed in room 1405. Air conditioning went out at 4 am and the room was 81 degrees. Called the front desk and they advised they had an operator coming out later that day, when I was checking out. They offered complimentary breakfast but I declined. Other than that. No issues
- 4/5
The location is great for time square. The front desk phones were never working so I had to use my phone. Air conditioner was broke 2 nights in a row. I have no idea why they charge resort fee. 20.00 breakfast is a large waste of money. Housekeeping was great and did a great job even though our family of 5 adults and 2 kids was a mess. Overall I would stay again . But they need to stop taking money for resort fee.

The only saving grace was the second clerk who started the 11 pm shif, Robert, because he kept a calm demeanor, was understanding, and responded to the booking query truthfully and rapidly. This is a horrifying hotel on many levels. You show up with your guaranteed prepaid reservation booked 15 hours prior, and they have given away your room and they try to put you in a totally different room, different bed, and claim they are oversold and it is the very last and only room in existence. The clueless, hapless, lost original desk clerk cannot even figure out his own hotel's bed types or rooms... he offers to stick a rollaway in a closet sized room with ten inches of walk space, then tries to justify giving away your room by statements like, "well, check in was allowed at 4 pm and it is now 10.30 pm so rooms are all given away!" It's like they live in an alternate universe and they have never been in the hotel business before, where the whole point of a prepaid room with a guaranteed bed type is exactly that.... They call a "manager" because not one single human being with any authority remains at this hotel after 5 pm on a holiday weekend. In fact there is a staff of ONE running things 5-11 pm, and then the night person comes, again a staff of ONE, till 8 am. The desk person calls a mysterious person of authority, speaks in whispers in another language, refuses to let us speak to this manager, who is "at home" and then says, essentially sorry, we have no options.... we are offering you no refund. You either take this other room and wait for people to roll in at 8 am or do what you wish but we have no authority to cancel or refund you. Then it's up to you to sort it with booking.com and get them to call and confirm the room you booked was somehow given away or the hotel reservation manager could not be bothered to remove unavailable room types... who knows. It is your job to get them to sort out this mess with the hotel, unable to reach the actual reservations manager at that hour. By midnight you are out on the street looking for a hotel.

I was on the phone with the support team for a long time and I still received a generic email to call them back. Why am I supposed to call back again for the same issue. I have already mentioned I got the reservation canceled. I just need my refund.

The pictures of the rooftop terrace were misleading it looked nothing like the photos and wasn’t just a place to sit no amenities up there . There was no Spanish resteraunt as stated just a mix pub menu with some Indian options . The bar staff was terrible didn’t know how to make any of the cocktails that were on the menu and were very slow do service making you feel like a inconvenience . I would not recommend this hotel and was really disappointed in the mislead description posted by Expedia .

Staff is great. So helpful, attentive and kind. Room was great. Only issue is the shower situation. It is confusing. It’s either unbearably hot, I’m talking boiling hot or really cold. Showering was very difficult. Everyone in my group felt the same. The water would take forever to switch temperatures and then when it felt safe to shower, it would just turn really hot again. That really is the only issue. Everything else is perfect

Location. But still very noisy because of the police station next to the hotel The room was in a bed condition. Several wall sockets were broken, and the blind’s handle was also broken, making it impossible to fully close it. Additionally, their refusal to allow early check-in, despite the room being empty, was frustrating. You can hear everything outside the door room and every time the hotel room doors are opened or closed, it actually shakes the entire room I’m staying in.

MD checked us in and was fantastic! He even offered us an upgrade after we waited a bit while he dealt with some difficult customers. I have to say he handled that very well and then flew through checking us in as well as the small line that had formed behind us! The elevators were quick and stayed that way all weekend! We never had to wait for more than a few seconds which was great with all the carrying we were doing. The room was great and allowed us to stretch out a bit with all the goodies we got from the convention. We enjoyed the room so much we didn't make it to the lobby bar but it looked nice. There were plenty of places to sit and hang out. So many storage options and lots of hanging space, which was nice since we brought gowns. My only feedback would be that I think the family suites should have a slightly larger fridge. There were four of us trying to keep all of our things in there and it was a tight fit. I believe that room can up to 8. I just can't imagine a family being able to put everything in that tiny fridge. 10/10 we would definitely stay here again! Hoping that we can for next year.

Nice location, friendly and helpful staff. Overall a fine hotel that was excellent for us for a 2 nights stay. The main bed in the room is nice and comfortable. The room is clean. The sofa bed was not comfortable. The bunk bed is really outdated and very hard to climb using the ladder even for adults. I like the idea of bunk beds, but there are much better products out there that are more suited for hotels.
- 5/5
Rooms were very clean, location was perfect.
- 3/5
Our room was clean, but our coffee machine didn't work, a red light flashed constantly on the telephone, the air conditioner sounded like a freight train, and the guests in the adjoining room kept us awake much of the first night of our stay. We drew attention to these problems both mornings; nothing was ever attended to. We were offered coffee downstairs (no complimentary breakfast), which was a lifesaver.
- 3/5
The staff doesn’t tag the luggage when you place it in the room, so anyone can take anyone’s luggage and it’s unattended, the restaurant wasn’t even open even though the hours said it was open
- 4/5
Location was perfect for what we were looking for The automatic light in the bathroom was a disturbance as because as soon as I got near it Would turn on waking my friend. You should be allowed to get in the bathroom, shut the door and run on the light. Also, super stingy on the morning coffee. Had to ask for more regular coffee as maid didn’t replenish after first day
- 3/5
Friendly staff, convenient location, parking garage across road Water came into the room from the ceiling, window, and sky light. It got much worse with rain, running throughout different parts of the room. They accommodated us and we moved into 2 different rooms but for the price and us having to maintain the leaks and water throughout different parts of the room with towels and more towels to keep from going everywhere, it was not worth it. They gave us breakfast one morning for the inconvenience

An engineer attempted a fix but it didn’t resolve the issue, and I was given a small space heater that was not sufficient to warm the room. I was unable to sleep. I was moved to another room and experienced the same problem. I was told this is simply how the building’s system operates, which is not an acceptable response when a guest room cannot be maintained at a comfortable temperature. What made this worse was the lack of accountability. I asked multiple times to speak with a manager and none was ever made available. The responses I received felt dismissive and unprofessional, with no real effort to resolve the issue. This is a basic habitability issue, not a luxury complaint. Guests should be able to expect a room that is warm enough to sleep in. I was then told they would waive my resort fees and then they not only charged me anyway after I checked out- they are utterly unreachable and I had to go back IN PERSON to get them to give me a refund. Very disappointing experience.

Location Organization, cleaning part and the lobby room. It is a mess.

Nice Hotel! Staff Was Nice, My Room Temperature Didnt Go Past 73 And I Had The Heat Set To 82 For 3days Lol. The Room Was Also Super Steamy From The Shower So The Fire Alarm Proceeded To Go Off For Over 2hrs, With Windows Open, Door Open And Alarm Blaring For The Entire Manhattan To Hear, After Another Staff Member Arrived At 11pm They Then Shut It Off And I Was Offered A Heater For My Room That Was 53degrees. You Must Pay The Parking Fee Everytime You Decide To Move Your Vehicle!!!!!

Great location
- 1/5
The room was very battered and used…it was dirty and the sheets were stained. I had reached out with a request to be let out of my reservation, but never received any contact back from the manager. It was quite a disappointment to sleep in a room in that condition. I would never recommend and am happy to share the photos.

Washroom was nice and clean. Property was under construction when we go there. It was listed as a 4-star hotel, but did not seem like it. Amenities listed on their list of amenities were not available at the time of our arrival.

It was ok in general. Would stay there again if the price us right.

Everything very good
- 5/5
Nice location and staff was excellent and friendly
- 1/5
Came to the room, was probably 80 degrees inside. There’s two thermostats in the room for some reason. Both were not working. Went to the front desk barest any help. Moved our rooms just for the same problem to occur. The hotel is in a decent location, however highly unsanitary and might run into problems like our family did.
- 1/5
the garbage in the lobby was overflowing with trash, there were packages everywhere and everyone’s luggage just “held” out in the lobby. it looked like a gas station bathroom or an outdated burger king
- 1/5
When I spoke to the receptionist, Hasan, he refused to help or offer any solution or refund. I expected much better customer service, especially when there is a problem with the room that affects a guest’s health. I hope management sees this review and takes this situation seriously.

Good evening hope all is well. I had a wonderful stay few days ago I would not change anything keep up the great work, Thank you so much 👍

It was convenient for me

Horrible customer service
- 4/5
Very comfortable bed. We slept very well. No frills and not an exciting hotel, but gets the job done well.
- 5/5
Room was clean and relaxing. Close walking distance to so many activities and subway was right on the corner. We were in New York for my sisters 21st birthday! And the drinks at the bar were also delicious. There is also as space to store luggage, which was great. We were able to store our luggage and explore the city.
- 5/5
Convenient location; hot breakfast available each morning; spacious rooms; great value
- 5/5
Friendly staff. Amazing property. And overall a great experience. My entire family stayed in one of the larger rooms and everyone felt comfortable
- 5/5
Great service! Our room was not ready, but no worries they were able to accommodate and get us 2 connecting rooms since we were traveling with children. The only thing I did not like was that we were not able to check in early. Most hotels offer this at no extra fee. This hotel had a fee and it was outrages for being on a budget. Other than that great hotel. Great service. Loved that they held our bags before we were able to check in and after checkout. I would love to stay here again unfortunately we always travel late so our children sleep on the road so we will not be able to stay again since we can not do early check-in for that fee. If it is just my husband and I we wouldn’t mind. This hotel was also close to everything which was also great.
- 3/5
Rooms were clean and cost was decent based on NYC prices. Need a real bar keep. Property looked as if it needed an overall upgrade.
- 1/5
After paying $40 for early check-in online (front desk said $50) we asked for new sheets bc the ones on the bed were stained and filled with hair- front desk said someone would bring them up- we changed and left- no one showed. We returned around 6 and was told housekeeping wouldn’t be back until 7- We ordered room service- 40min later a call from the bar telling me to come down, it was ready to be picked up?!?
- 4/5
Good gor the price
- 3/5
We did not get the room we were supposed to. We were scheduled to be in a room with 2 queen beds. We were put in much smaller room with a king bed and a roll out. We stayed here 2 years ago and enjoyed it which is why we booked it again and we like the neighborhood. I will be looking for somewhere else for future stays.
- 2/5
The front desk staff are very grumpy, not accommodating and they make face in dealing with the guest. The complimentary toothpaste set was used and we availed the family room and yet only 1 set of used toothbrush set was there. I asked for some and they said they will only provide 2 set of available. I asked for room slippers but they didn’t give. The blower was not working.
- 4/5
Great location, right near Madison Square Gardens and a half a block from the subway. It's clean and nice and safe. Decent rooms. Staff was ok.
- 4/5
The family-size room was quite spacious and provided ample space for our family of 5 to spread out. The location was excellent for exploring the city.
- 3/5
Front desk staff was pleasant enough, but seemed unsure of all the details when checking us in. Several elevators didn’t work, the lobby was piled up with boxes and random items that didn’t need to be out in the open. The staff didn’t talk to us about breakfast, amenities, or anything onsite so we didn’t utilize any of that. We extended our stay when our flight was rescheduled and got locked out of our room temporarily. The day we left we asked them to hold our bags for a few hours while we waited to go to the airport, and they do not have a luggage holding procedure like most hotels. They told us we could just drop our bags in an unattended storage room full of odds and end and old furniture, but they wouldn’t tag our bags or really so anything to ensure they would still be there later. The room (and our bags) were open to anyone to just walk in and grab. The family room was spacious and clean enough, but very dated and the beds weren’t very comfortable. All in all, it was just okay. Nothing impressive, but family suites are hard to find and this was in a good central location close to penn station.
- 2/5
Front desk did not have enough staff - slow check in. My daughter saw a cockroach in the lobby. The shower was difficult to operate, swinging between too hot and too cold. Centrally located.
- 1/5
The walls are paper thin and you can hear everything from neighboring rooms and hallways.
- 5/5
Our hotel check in/check out experience was fast and efficient. All staff were very friendly and helpful. Our AC stopped working one day while we were there but the problem was quickly resolved after reporting it. A big thank you to the lovely lady who cleaned our rooms every day. We loved that the location of the hotel was situated close to a subway and lots of food and shopping within walking distance.
- 4/5
Nice visit
- 3/5
Room was clean, but we had towels n blankets that had a lot, a lot of lint and really messed up our clothes. The AC in our room did not work we were struggling to have a good night because it was waaaay too hot. I had called in advance prior to our booking and was told our room would have a gaming console and it didn't. We wanted to go up to the rooftop that's shown on hotel pics and there was no such thing. I was told breakfast was included with my reservation because it was a family suite, but when i asked at hotel I was told it wasn't. It was really hard to be in our room it was so hoy and couldn't sit or lay anywhere because of all the lint ...
- 1/5
Very disappointed for the price.
- 1/5
No Air Conditioning available. The HVAC is very loud and stopped working for 1 nights.
- 4/5
thank you again for a great stay at property, looking forward to seeing you soon 👍
- 3/5
Staff were really nice and they did a great job cleaning our rooms. However the thermostat in the room was just for show we were there when it was really cold one day and freezing in the room and hot the next and it was burning up in the room.
- 4/5
It was okay. Not a bad location. Our room was run down. Curtains were busted, certain lights didn’t work and the bathroom light wouldn’t turn off at all. Sink in the room only had cold water as the hot side of the faucet was broken. The remote was broken but we were able to get a new one at the desk. Our second to last day they were out of washcloths they said and some of the elevators didn’t work. It was not a great stay but a convenient location… the staff was nice. That was a pro to all of the cons we came across.
- 5/5
The staff were kind and welcoming. The room was bigger than most NYC hotel rooms and the location was perfect. Beds were comfy, bathroom was nice, AND there's a surplus of mirrors (including one full length). Not noisy at all in the hotel or from the street. Only cons that aren't really cons are there's construction going on near the hotel and they have an honor system on bag check but I stayed in the lobby a couple of hours getting some work done and it seems pretty safe. Only folks who need it and going in and out of the room and there's always staff upfront. I would definitely recommend this hotel and stay here again!
- 4/5
The heat did not work but the staff made sure we had a heater that next night Location was great . Over all a good place
- 5/5
Yes was very good and plentiful.
- 5/5
The amenities change based on who is working front desk. I was told they had a shuttle to Newark do $98. Called later to schedule and the hotel has “no shuttle”.
- 2/5
The room was filthy and clearly not cleaned by the staff. There was an artificial lash in the shower, dust, and hair everywhere. The front desk offered to switch my room but I lost confidence, it was late, and my daughter was already asleep. They also took a photo copy of my

We traveled as a family of five, having driven 8 hours to reach the city. Given that our trip was only scheduled for two days, we were frustrated to find a significant heating issue in our room upon arrival. While we alerted the staff and they were kind enough to bring extra blankets, this was a temporary fix that did not resolve the freezing temperatures in the room. As a direct result of the lack of proper heating, all five of us have since caught a cold. This situation effectively ruined our entire trip. Instead of enjoying our limited time in NYC, we spent it uncomfortable and are now dealing with the health consequences. When we spoke with the reception desk, they acknowledged the issue and advised me to contact General Manager, John to discuss fair compensation for the inconvenience and the impact on our stay. I sent several emails to him but he didn’t respond me yet after 9 days. I look forward to hearing how the hotel intends to rectify this situation.

Nice place. Actually had a walkout balcony. Great view. Staying at this property again in April.
- 4/5
Room was comfortable, bathroom small but nice, hallways very narrow, lobby was very small.
- 3/5
The hotel is centrally located but very basic amenities and service there. Don't expect anything over the top.
- 2/5
Poor personal
- 3/5
Just average; the hotel has some construction going on; Photos look better than the actual place; I suggest to purchase food outside. The hotel food prices and vending machine were overpriced - a bottle of water for $3.75. All said I would consider staying here again - they have the most comfortable bed and sheets, and great location.

There was food under the bed, the front desk was making photo copies of my license and credit card and when I questioned it he gave me the copy to throw out, early check in was not honored, parking was more than what was quoted, there was trash and filth in the elevator and halls, and the front desk employees were both rude as well as uncaring. They blamed everything that happened on booking and Expedia and said it’s not their problem to take care of us nor would they be doing anything to make our stay better. The view we were promised was a building with a big air conditioning unit that rattled the entire time we were there. They added additional fees and charges to our bill and blamed Expedia for not telling us. This absolutely should not be a destination for anyone especially with children as there were adults passed out in the lobby each time we were coming and going. The location is decent but with our room not being ready for early check in we had to put our luggage in a spare room that was dirty and cluttered and was not secured with a lock or security door so anyone could just take our belongings. The parking people were fast and efficient but again the actual hotel front desk men especially saturday (2/21-22)) morning shouldn’t be working in customer service, they should be replaced with people who actually care about guest service. Lastly our room smelled of stale alcohol/vomit from the previous guests but again the hotel staff did not address it.

Staff was great, however, shower was gross and cleaning definitely needs work, considering it has hardwood floors you could feel all the ick, and actual popcorn on the floor from a previous person. It doesn’t take that much effort to sweep.

Did the job, but was not as nice as the listing appears. The location was overall good and very convenient, however the specific block was a bit iffy (I never actually felt unsafe though). Room was fine, nothing fancy but pretty spacious, we were all able to fit our luggage without issue. The main room was clean, but there was some hair in the bathroom when we arrived. I got a great deal so it was definitely worth it, no complaints, just keep moderate expectations.

The room had ZERO heat during one of the coldest days of the year. With the wind chill, it was negative outside. My stay from from Friday to Saturday, we woke up Saturday to a FIFTY DEGREE room. We made the hotel aware Saturday morning and they said they’d send someone up, I was assuming to fix it… but no they came with a heater that do not heat up the room whatsoever. Then gave us extra blankets. This tells me the hotel was well aware the heat was broken. One of the queen beds was VISIBLY sunken in, it was a nightmare truly. They did not offer us another room or anything else. To have spent $400+ to stay in a room with no heat was so disappointing and them not offering any money back or at least a free drink at the bar was just super disappointing. I plan to address this with management and corporate if I have to. I should have listened to the other reviews. Avoid this hotel at all costs !

in the middle of the worst freeze of 2026 in New York history There is a charge for early check-in There is no security other than cameras They could not print me a detailed receipt because i booked with a 3rd party. Also, there is a 150 dollar deposit for incidentals and a 27 dollar resort fee for a hostel/ dormitory style room. There are plenty of signs post saying that the property is a franchise and independently owned and operated. Remember you get what you pay for. Stay at your own risk
- 5/5
Our weekend stay was amazing in the family room!! Very nice workers and clean rooms. One thing I could recommend is better mopping job. Seemed like our white socks were getting dirty fairly quickly ..
- 5/5
what stood out to me was the cleanliness of the hotel and how close it was to everything, especially the subways and madison square garden.

NEED HEATERS. Freezing cold. Other than has all amenities. Easy access to transportation. Convenient area.

Very clean, and lovely staff
- 3/5
Room was good, clean, and comfortable. The downside is you can hear the inconsiderate noisy patrons outside in the hallways and our room neighbors getting it on at 3am.
- 4/5
Room was clean and staff was friendly. They had big fluffy towels which were nice and they had bottled water in the rooms.
- 4/5
Room was clean and amenities were good but the bar and bartender was not that great
- 1/5
Inadequate heating throughout the hotel.
- 2/5
Otherwise staff was all nice. Just unfortunate location
- 3/5
Room was ok really small could barely move around. For an accessible room only the bathroom could accommodation someone in a wheelchair. Refrigerator was too small. No microwave available. Heat is present they have a portable heater to plug in. To me a fire hazard. One day only 1 of 4 elevators were working waited a long time. Staff and maintenance were using during the week. Soda machine not working. Extra charges for a pet but no place to walk it beside the street for the biggest dog show in NY no accommodation for pets to relieve themselves. Daily service was nice.
- 1/5
In the time span of over 5 hours and numerous trips to the front desk they finally brought up a tiny little space heater that didn’t warm the room at all. After over 8 hours they finally moved us to a different too Around 10 at night. The room was dirty had someone ear plugs under the bed a little girls gold bow under the ottoman. My socks were black after just walking from the bed to the bathroom. This is unacceptable! Paid almost 600$ then they charged my card an additional 3 times for $150 dollars. I got offered $75 dollars by the booking company for my next stay which is also not good enough! If I had the extra money I would have got a different hotel!

Good place to stay. Breakfast should be better for the price ($20,00), but the staff are very friendly and always ready to assist you on demands.
- 3/5
For the price, the room did what it had to do. Was it luxurious? No. But we only slept there and were out mostly all day and night.
- 4/5
I had a great stay overall. The room and the general facilities were excellent—highly recommended! The location is perfect, super central, and close to everything. The staff was also very attentive. However, I was disappointed to be charged an additional $57 fee just for booking through Expedia. This has never happened to me at any other hotel before. I chose Expedia specifically for the competitive pricing, so this extra charge felt unfair.

Good evening.. everything always great whenever I stay TRYP, staff are great so thank again for a great stay.. see you soon 👍
- 4/5
The balcony view gave us a wonderful view of the balconies next door to us. The view is the space between the two buildings, or an alleyway. But we didn't care, we didn't get the room for the balcony view.
- 2/5
On arrival, my toilet was clogged and overflowed. After I went for help twice they never came. Multiple other quirks of the room were inconvenient, for example the bathroom light is automatic and turned off mid shower on me multiple times.
- 5/5
Staff were very helpful, very convenient location. The showers were a little dirty like they hadn’t been wiped down but that’s all. Beds were comfortable and they even upgraded our room for us to a family suit. Overall was a good stay
- 5/5
good customer service
- 3/5
Nice staff. My room was pretty clean but a bit tired and oddly configured. Great location. Good Indian food. Security could be better. No locked storage for bags and no pass required for the elevators.
- 4/5
The room was very spacious and location was great! We were not given any wash rags upon arrival and had to ask. Both toilets were clogged, the hair dryer didn’t work and it could have been cleaner.
- 5/5
Stayed in a family room with 5 and there was plenty of room. The room was clean, amenities was great the staff were friendly and helpful. The hotel is close to everything. We absolutely loved our stay would highly recommend abd will definitely be back.
- 5/5
We enjoyed our stay here. It was close to the big things we wanted to do plus they offered a town car service that was cheaper than the Uber/Lift to LGA as well as easy to book. The rooms were clean and the staff were helpful. Our room had everything we needed and was clean. It was neat they offered free snacks and water in the room each day! Great price and great hotel! If you are looking for view, they may have rooms with that, but ours did not. Early check in doesn't seem to be a thing if it is something you need, we didn't get one and the reviews noted that it is not common for them to do which is okay, we made it work! They had a luggage drop area. It was self managed which was a little alarming at first but it seemed to be okay, no weird issues. Overall, we would surely stay here again! Thank you for your hospitality!
- 4/5
It was an okay hotel but good price close to time square and other nice places

We had a great stay at the TRYP by Wyndham. Good location - walkable with easy access to subway stations. Typical size NYC hotel room - clean with comfy beds. No issues for us at all - would definitely stay here again.

Construction. Dark side street.
- 5/5
Very nice property - plenty of space in our room and it was close enough to walk to many things (Macy's Herald Square, Empire State Building, Times Square). And just half a block to the subway station for things we didn't want to walk to. My only concern was that it was unlocked all night and the front desk wasn't always manned, so it felt like anyone could walk in. But it's right next to the police station, so that made us feel better!
- 4/5
The rooms/hotel were clean and the beds were comfortable. Location was perfect for getting to our travel goals. Front area of building was covered with scaffolding and garbage along sidewalk. Very safe as we were next to the police.
- 5/5
The room was clean and the staff was great!
- 5/5
The rooms were clean and staff courteous. The location was great. Everything on our list to do was 20 min away, whether by walking, subway, or uber. The hotel is closed to Penn station so it made it very easy to get to and from JFK. Will stay here again if we ever travel back to NYC.

- 4/5
Clean … room ready when we got there ($30 early check in fee).
- 2/5
Staff was great but the room was not. I'm sure the room is meant for only one bed not 2 as there was very little space between the beds, window and desk area. I barely had enough space to walk between the beds with both legs rubbing against the beds. The space between the window and bed was so small I had to walk sideways to get into bed and had the cold air blowing inches from my face. It was very uncomfortable. The room was freezing. The first night I went to the front desk to let them know our air wasn't working properly and was told its centralized air. However, we were so cold at night we woke up with sore throats the next morning. It was even worse when we had to shower as the room was so cold. I called front desk to let them know AGAIN that we were cold and very uncomfortable in the room. They sent someone to the room who was very helpful. He tried to reset the breaker and tested the heater and confirmed it was not working as it was blowing out cold air only. They provided a portable heater which heated up the room quickly but it was extremely warm to the point of causing headaches and dryness. No comfortable temp. It also obstructed our path to the restroom in the already tight space and was extremely hot. Very uncomfortable overall. I'm pretty sure the walking space in room 504 violates fire codes. We had friends in other rooms that had much more space and comfortable room temp than we did. Please note that staff was amazing.

This was our third time in NY, but first time at this property & it was absolutely perfect for our family vacation. We are a family of 6: 2 adults with 4kids ranging from 3-16 years old. We chose the family room and it was more than perfect. The hotel room was spacious, the beds were very comfortable and cozy. The two restrooms came in handy with 6 of us in a room! The hot water for showers turned on almost immediately. We have stayed at a different hotel in NY before where it took about 15-20 minutes for the hot water to kick in during the winter time! The bunk beds were in the living room and the queens beds were in a separate room. Although it didn’t have a “kitchen” space they had like an island type of sink situation with a mini fridge. It was good enough for us. The hotel provided coffee and water replenishment daily, but with a Starbucks and Dunkin Donuts at every corner- we opted for that instead. The front desk allowed us to check in early for a small fee and it was worth it as we had taken a red eye and were extremely tired from the flight. The hotel was close by many attractions/locations. The subways entrances were on the same block. The police station is right next to the hotel. The lobby of the hotel was very charming. We did eat at their restaurant on the last day and the food was not too bad. They also have a designated area where you can leave your luggage before checking in or after check out. I would absolutely return to this hotel with the whole family.
- 5/5
Staff are excellent
- 3/5
Very small common spaces. Our comforter and sheets were ripped and had holes in them. Hotel need an entire renovation
- 3/5
Construction our front, police sirens, overbooked our suite category but they provided two rooms but on different floors. Beds comfortable, staff are friendly but may not have enough staff as there are always a lot of people waiting in the lobby to check in
- 5/5
Room cold. Couldnt get temp above 67
- 1/5
This is my first time to ever leave a review, but feel I need to do so to help protect anyone who sees this from staying at this hotel. It is so unkept. The beds and sleeping situations are the worst I’ve seen, one of ours couldn’t even be slept on. The air made such a horrible racket all night that no one slept. The issues aren’t something that can be addressed in the moment; it’s truly the worst kept property I’ve ever seen. Please take it from me- stay ANYWHERE else.
- 4/5
Communication and service response was delay.
- 2/5
Not clean you get what you pay for
- 1/5
Terrible, never again
- 1/5
They overbooked the rooms, so we didn’t get the room we had reserved. On top of that, our room was supposed to be ready at 3:00 PM, but it was only ready at 6:30 PM. I will never go back there and I do not recommend it to anyone. The sheets were stained.
- 3/5
Very chaotic check in. Need more people working the front desk. No room to store bags. Very dirty in front of hotel. Garbage all over the sidewalk. Very nice staff.
- 1/5
The experience was bad from the arrival, they do not have a safe room for suitcases, the conditions of the hotel super dirty, when arriving at the room the bathrooms were dirty and the floors too. Expedia has to evaluate the hotels they put in their booking I invested $5,000 in my stay and they did not give me options the conditions they show in Expedia are not the same as the hotel and the customer service of the employees is very bad. Honestly, the worst experience was a night mare.
- 1/5
Front desk brutal and rooms aren’t very clean.
- 3/5
TVs did not work. Told the front desk but nothing was done
- 3/5
Our room was freezing for a few hours and then boiling hot & freezing again. There was a hole in the wall where the thermostat should have been. Room was clean . Front desk staff were very nice. The Bed was like a rock . Security guard was loudly talking to his girlfriend on the phone sitting outside our door in the hall at 1am for an hour. It sounded like he was in the bed with us.
- 3/5
The heating system in my room is very loud, and interrupts sleep.
- 5/5
The room was clean, the beds were actually 2 king size beds and were very comfortable, and the pillows were also soft and fluffy. The staff were very nice and we were able to leave our bags there after check out, because our flight didn’t leave until late afternoon.
- 5/5
Clean rooms, helpful and friendly staff
- 4/5
Good morning hope all is well.. room and staff are always good. My stay was great, Thank again 👍
- 4/5
Room was clean, modern an had excellent amenities.
- 4/5
My stay is always good, Thank you so much again 👍
- 4/5
Clean room. Friendly desk agent
- 1/5
The hotel is filthy and run down. I imagine prison is cleaner and more appealing. Our bedsheets were dirty and looked like they had bodily fluid on them and blood.
- 3/5
Good location. Room was pretty nice. It was cold out and it took quite a while to warm the room up. No washcloths in the rooms?
- 5/5
Room was amazing, staff was amazing room was clean
- 1/5
The room never got about 69 degrees all night so it was cold and loud..the heat unit ran the entire night and I got very little sleep, not to mention as doors were opened and closed they were slammed by the weight of the door…very noisy The next morning after I had checked out and left my luggage for a bit I can back and the bathroom has to be accessed with a key that didn’t work so after waiting around I finally asked someone and she was able to use another key to let me in. The hotel was not very welcoming and it was dark and dingy inside
- 3/5
There was a constant knocking sound all through the day and night. The walls are super thin to the point you can hear people’s conversations in their room even hear them using the bathroom. One person doing check out causing a long line. Great location to where I needed to be but for the price the hotel could have been better
- 3/5
The check in was a little rough due to some issues between Expedia and TRYP. They were able to get us checked in, you have to put a $150 deposit down per room.. I’m assuming for if repairs are needed(we did not know this ahead of time, you will receive the money in 3-4 days after check out. The shower took a solid 5 minutes to warm up once it was started. The elevators took forever to get up to the rooms. The fridge in our room froze all of our drinks. It was in a nice convenient area to get around. Overall it was a good experience.
- 5/5
Very nice staff. Very clean. They did very well with the crazy holiday weekend.
- 5/5
We have stayed here many times and always found the rooms to be clean and comfortable.
- 5/5
Good staff
- 1/5
I tried to check into hotel at 445 pm. After a 3.5 hour drive with my daughter. I arrived at hotel parked in overnight parking across from hotel. Upon checking in was told my reservation was not confirmed and canceled by hotel. They told me they emailed hotels.com at 11:10 am (see attached) Hotels.com did not notify me. They charged my card in full. And I thought I had a confirmed reservation. Upon arriving at hotel they said I did not have a room confirmed and that they will not issue me a room and to call hotels.com Here is what is going to happen or I will get a lawyer and sue you for what you put me and my daughter through with no place to stay and sleeping in car in 20 degree weather.
- 2/5
Arrived at check-in time with 5 tired kids and had to wait for over an hour in a tiny lobby for the room to be ready.
- 3/5
When we arrived, the property was surrounded by scaffolding and heavy construction, to the point that even our driver couldn’t find the entrance. Despite a police station down the street, there’s no lighting in the construction zone, and at night it feels unsafe. The rooms are extremely small and very dark. There is no security presence, meaning anyone can walk in and access the guest floors, which was concerning. The only positive part of our stay was the housekeeping staff—they were genuinely kind, helpful, and the highlight of an otherwise disappointing experience.
- 5/5
Did not like location, but great motel otherwise
- 4/5
The facility was not filthy by any means but the room could have been a little cleaner as I saw somethings that were missed. Also, the heat would not go above 68 degrees which doesn't seem like a big deal but it is when the outside temperature is in the teens.
- 4/5
The hotel is in a central location, making it easy to get to midtown highlights. Check in was efficient. The family room was very spacious for our family of four (two teens). I thought everything was clean. My only complaint is the room was cold and changing the thermostat didn't do much. Overall a solid choice.
- 4/5
Great location
- 5/5
Good central place in NYC.
- 3/5
Room not serviced after first night. No wash cloths in the room.
- 1/5
Poor customer service
- 2/5
We had no balcony we did not get the room we booked called ahead and told them we would be checking in the next morning due to a red eye flight did not have our room said we where a no show. The heat went out the water was cold
- 2/5
The room was clean but the lobby and other areas of the hotel had stuff sitting everywhere. The room had a cracked window and we could see someone’s bedroom. The bunk beds and couch were not in great shape.
- 3/5
Staff was kinda rude when you asked for anything. They wanted $3 for coffee downstairs with free breakfast which wasn’t very good. The AC and heater was bad and loud in the room. No one to watch your luggage in their open storage room if you get there early. The room had no drawers for storage, just shelves. There is no real group area to hand out with friends either. Won’t be back.
- 1/5
No safe room for luggage Would not stay again
- 5/5
The room was clean, comfortable and very quiet. My only suggestion is making the lobby and dining area nicer/more inviting. Staff was very helpful and friendly
- 5/5
👍
- 5/5
Room was very clean, staff was nice and a great location.
- 2/5
Our heat has not worked since we arrived. The temp in our room has remained at 62-63 degrees; the hallway is significantly warmer. Our room has two queen beds and a pull-out sofa bed and we have five people in the room. There was no extra linens or blankets in the room when we arrived, so we asked for blankets. They brought us one and said that was all they had. We had to go buy blankets. Tonight will be our final of three nights and they have yet to do anything about the heat or provide us more than the one blanket they brought.
- 4/5
Room was fine. Floor definitely needed to be mopped but I tend to wear socks anyways bc I don’t like my feet to touch a floor that’s not mine. Beds were comfy, bathroom were nice. Good water pressure. We were roomed in front of the police station, so typical NY noise all night out the window. However they did place earplugs in the room for you.
- 5/5
We were about an hour early and not only did they allow us to check in, but we were also upgraded. Check in was smooth and staff was great. Rooms were clean and stocked. Great location by Penn Station, Madison Square Garden, Macy’s and Time Square. Right next to police station and felt incredibly safe at all times.
- 3/5
Ok if you’re staying one night
- 2/5
I wasn't impressed at all. The pictures look nothing like this hotel the interior or exterior. There's a lot of construction out side, it dark, and dirty looking. The room itself looks old, the refrigerator was place on the floor, there was no Iron.. I had to request one and it didn't work. The heat didn't work, the room was cold. I wasn't impressed at all. The drink machine took my money and when I went to the service desk... they told me to call a 1-800 # that was on the drink machine. The bed coverings look old.. There were just to many thing that I didn't like about my stay to name... Would not recommend to anyone... they charged me $60 for early check in.
- 5/5
The front desk staff was helpful, professional, yet friendly.
- 4/5
The room was very clean and comfortable. We loved the bed in our room! We were put into a family room so that was a nice surprise. It was large. It does show some wear but purely cosmetic. The staff was very nice and kept our bags after we checked out so we could get a bite to eat before heading to the airport. Would definitely stay here again!
- 5/5
Great room!
- 5/5
Great place, wonderful view!
- 4/5
The hotel is very convenient to the Moynihan Train Hall, and the room was clean and comfortable.
- 5/5
Convenient and close to all the sites, clean, comfortable. Will definitely stay again.
- 5/5
Everything is okay, night calm and rooms comfortable
- 5/5
Yes
- 3/5
Hotel Location and convenience to the subway station was amazing!! They store your bags until check in which is a plus too! Rooms need some updating but overall a great stay for a short trip to NYC!
- 5/5
The room was very spacious. The staff was very accommodating and friendly. They held our luggage around checkin and checkout the beds were comfortable.
- 3/5
The place is under repair and remodeling, the rooms are good size for New York and it right next to the police station a bit noisy, but over all the room service was good. It pretty close to all the major places but you still have to walk a lot. I would not stay here again, AI does a great job with pic now a days.
- 4/5
Stayed to go to a game at MSG, good location for it. The room was clean and comfortable.
- 4/5
Excellent location
- 5/5
Upgraded to family room, amazing space and comfortable beds! Friendly staff, great area near everything NYC!
- 5/5
Comfy bed, clean room, perfect size for one/two people. Close to subway for easy access to everything. Would definitely stay again.
- 3/5
No electric kettle and only paper cups in the room.
- 3/5
Right next to police station, sirens during night. Rooms are tiny. Staff wasn’t knowable
- 4/5
Good morning hope all is well. The staff, everything went well. Thank you for a great stay 👍
- 5/5
Great location and convenient parking garage right across the street!
- 5/5
Muy limpio. , accesible a todos los lugares.
- 4/5
Clean hotel. Easy access to Time Square
- 5/5
This hotel was centrally located. Staff was very friendly and accommodating. Housekeeping was great!! Perfect for our family of 5 to comfortable stay in for 4 nights. Book the family suite if your traveling with 5+
- 5/5
Basic accommodations, but clean and friendly staff.
- 4/5
Tryp was fine, although there was scaffolding all across the front which wasn't super welcoming (although I understand it is necessary now and then). I was unable to get help with a cab to the train station from the desk even though a card in the room promises help with any transportation (not just the airport like she said). Not a single QR code for the restaurant downstairs or anything else worked, so we ended up not getting anything from the hotel that we might have otherwise.
- 4/5
Convenient location, room was pretty spacious for NY
- 4/5
Great location and price. Would have given 5 stars, but iron didn’t work, refrigerator didn’t work and they had a regular chair at the desk which made sitting there on the computer uncomfortable. They should invest in a desk chair.
- 1/5
Some of the receptionist rude ! My neighbor was loud I couldn’t sleep the rooms are not insulated good enough
- 5/5
Room is so clean.
- 5/5
The balcony view we had was pretty cool. We could see the New Yorker right across from us. I was in NYC visiting with my boyfriend for his birthday and we appreciated being moved up to a higher floor with the view! The whole hotel was very clean and comfortable. The parking garage was close and the discount was nice too although we did wish we could have come and gone for a discount per day as opposed to having to leave it to get discount on total days. There’s helpful amenities in the rooms and even more options available by a quick call to the desk. Walkable distance to a ton of good spots- MSG, Times Square and lots of shops and food. We would definitely stay here again.
- 5/5
Rooms were tidy but not clean, clean. Other than that, awesome family rooms, come with 2 bathrooms. Beds were a bit on the hard side but doable.
- 5/5
Clean room. Courteous staff. Great location to Madison Square Garden.
- 3/5
The room was a bit beat up. The door handle to the bathroom was broken, the bookshelf had parts broken off. The floor wasn’t very clean. Our washcloths were never replaced in the bathroom. The room was billed on Hotels.com as two queens, but it was 2 doubles. NyPD has a station next door. That was a little noisy. There is scaffolding all over the front of the building right now. We had someone outside our window early one morning. Service was non existent. There was someone at the front desk some of the time. There was a wierd communal luggage room that was a nightmare. No tickets, just leave your stuff and hope it's there when you get back. . Use at your own risk. We probably won't stay here again. There are two Marriott properties nearby that are cleaner. This hotel wasn't terrible for a last minute booking, but the price is similar to others in the area and like i said, the Marriott properties are cleaner.
- 5/5
Room was clean and ready at our arrive. Has a excellente location, close to Madison square garden
- 5/5
Everything was great 👍
- 1/5
Did not get the room I paid got a king bed and paid for 2 queen bed would like my refund please
- 3/5
Room was outdated and cleaning was not good.
- 5/5
Good staff
- 4/5
Location, great location. I could walk everywhere I needed to go. The hotel was clean, in a great location, but I did not eat there.
- 3/5
A basic place to stay. No extras or comforts. A roof over your head.
- 4/5
Is in an excellent location for walking and catching the subway to sight see the city.
- 4/5
Would book another stay. Clean room nice staff.
- 1/5
The door key did not work during my entire stay. The card system did not work. Lost tons of time waiting for someone from the front desk to open the door. Also outside the hotel the smell of urine was unbearable.
- 4/5
Nice staff and clean rooms. Excellent location to Times Square and train stations. We stayed in the family room. Having two bathrooms were great for our family.
- 5/5
Great place to stay with a family. Lots of space in the family room.
- 1/5
Was told to keep the noise down on our second night because an elderly couple below our room complained, even though we weren't noisy at all. The room next door to us and the hotel cleaners were noisier. So the next several days my family and I were not wanting to go back to the hotel and I was always on edge waiting for management to call or kick us out.
- 3/5
All the staff was fine and the check-in was easy, but the room was kind of weird and the sensor in the bathroom was incredibly aggressive. It was just a super blue bright light that would turn back on 30 seconds after you turned it off.
- 4/5
The only negative was that the walls were very thin and we could clearly hear what people in the neighboring room were saying.
- 4/5
Only negatives- Bed was a little worn it dipped in the middle and At checkout there was a big line and only one person working the desk.
- 5/5
Good evening hope all is well.. The staff is always great, thanks again for a great and wonderful stay 👍
- 3/5
Staff was friendly. Unfortunately they had an issue with not being able to program keys. It was annoying having someone open the door for you as needed, but they were quick. Issue was fixed by day 2, however at some point my key stopped working again. This was at the worst time because I had to wait about 20 minutes in their check in line just to bet back in to my room. The room itself was comfortable, clean, and roomy for NYC. They need new towels, all 3 were really worn and with holes. Location is good.
- 1/5
I didnt get my room, when i ordered ididnt download your app which the rules to get into hotel needed 150 dollar deposit, to get in a mis communication between Expedia and hotel
- 4/5
The room was a good size and clean. The staff were very courteous. Unfortunately, we didn’t have access to the room until the night before leaving. Someone had to unlock our room door to get in. Never had this situation before. Per front desk person the system was not working.
- 5/5
Absolutely love it! Great customer service! Checked in with out any issues plus we got out an upgrade which was awesome we were celebrating our 17 year anniversary and our first time in NYC! I would definitely be back
- 4/5
Great location, very nice room, great size room for Manhattan. The room electronic keys did not work for anyone for 3 days. It was a royal pain having to go to the front desk and have someone unlock your room for you each time you wanted to get in.
- 3/5
The beds are extremely small, the shower floors are disgusting and look like they only pass a quick mop on them and never actually disinfect them. The grout is disgusting and it smells like mildew.
- 2/5
The key card reader for our room was broken so we had to ask a front desk worker to let us in every time we wanted to get let in. Also, neither TV inside the room worked. Overall, there was much to be desired from this stay.
- 1/5
I stayed at Tryp Times Square this week for a work trip, and on the very first night found live bed bugs crawling in my bed. I took clear photos and videos, immediately went to the front desk around 11:30 PM, and was told there was “no management in the building” at that hour, so no one could authorize a refund or cancellation. The best they could do was hand me a piece of paper with the general manager and owner’s contact info which, of course, turned out to be useless, since neither has responded to a single email. I left that night, booked another hotel down the street at my own expense, and have now spent days trying to reach anyone in management while they completely ignore me. It’s beyond unacceptable. For a hotel under the Wyndham name, you’d think they’d take a health and sanitation issue seriously, but apparently customer safety isn’t a priority here. If you value your sleep, your belongings, or literally your skin, do not stay here. This place is filthy, disorganized, and run by people who disappear the second there’s an actual problem to solve. I travel for work constantly and have never experienced something this disgusting or unprofessional.
- 3/5
Very nice staff; key cards weren't working for the stay, so you had to have someone open your door for you. Breakfast was just okay.
- 5/5
Comfortable beds
- 3/5
Yes
- 4/5
Stayed here end of October, it was close to MSG, which is what we came for, but not too far from everywhere else. Hotel was clean, staff was friendly, food on sight. Room was ready early and was able to check in. There is construction in front of building and dark walking to hotel, but never felt unsafe once.
- 4/5
Room service option didnt work but great location and price so close to times square.
- 4/5
Would stay again and recommend as great location.
- 4/5
Good morning To all hope everything is good and well. My stay always great and enjoyable Thanks again 👍
- 2/5
It’s ridiculous how much money for one night we had to pay and the hotel is literally three stars. Not clean, nothing fancy about it, we arrived at 1:50 and our room was ready but they charged me extra money for “checking in early”. Ridiculous $600 for one night but nothing special about the place. And on top of it parking charges for 2 full days just because we left parking garage 2 hrs later later instead of just charging me per hour
- 5/5
It exceeded my expectation. Great location and the staff are friendly. :)
- 1/5
Really bad experience. Asked for things multiple times, but did not receive them. Even the stuff mentioned as complimentary was not available.
- 2/5
Dark and dingy. Small.
- 1/5
No heat and horrible guest service
- 4/5
Good morning.. clean room, staff amenities, everything was good. Thank you for a good stay
- 5/5
Great service
- 3/5
Location was good but the construction outside the hotel was loud.
- 5/5
9th floor family room with great views.
- 5/5
i loved everything
- 2/5
Room was not clean, hair balls from previous guest found on my bathroom floor, bed linens did smell clean. Only tea was provided in our room, you have to purchase coffee downstairs-the price of coffee changed by the day, and you have to pay additionally for a refill. I feel like we were catfished with the pictures and what our room really looked like.
- 1/5
Charged me $300 for secuirty deposit and told me it was a “glitch” after I was already suprised the deposit was $150 anyways being that I called beforehand and was told it was $100
- 4/5
For the price, I would stay here again.
- 5/5
The location was perfect — close to the subway, restaurants, and main attractions, but still quiet at night. Our room was spotless, modern. The beds were big and super comfortable, with fresh linens and great pillows. Staff were friendly and helpful, and check-in was smooth. Would definitely stay here again — great value for the money!
- 1/5
Bad service the place is ok, no big deal, but the receptionists and managers are inhumane, I had a dat error problem and asked to cancel or change the date 15 days in advance and I was treated very badly and they did not have any kind of empathy, I will never come back or recommend this hotel
- 5/5
- 4/5
Clean room-nice staff-convenient location
- 3/5
There is construction in front so you have to walk through a dark alleyway to get from broadway. The room was listed as 240 ft square but was not and the bathroom was tiny, it did have two queens. It served the purpose for sleeping but I would not recommend
- 1/5
Stuff photocopied my passport and credit card without consent.
- 5/5
Beds were comfortable, and it was nice and quiet even though it’s located really close to Times Square. There’s just a bit of construction on buildings close by and the walking area there could be better lit but otherwise no complaints!
- 4/5
Clean room
- 1/5
I signed up for a king or Queen room. Was told anything different until I get up there sad it’s a bunk bed filled family room. Brought up issue and
- 4/5
Rooms were very clean, hotel is in a great location - easy walking distance to Times Square.
- 4/5
The front of the hotel is not safe this time due to construction and there’s scaffolding which is why the walkway in going out to the 8th Avenue is dark specially the night. Upon check in things are missing from what I saw in the property details like slippers, coffee maker is broken that’s why the next day I requested coffee maker .
- 5/5
Good hotel in a convenient location. Well priced for the offerings. Slept our family of 6 quite well.
- 4/5
Got a room upgrade and that was great!
- 3/5
- 2/5
The person at the reception in the morning was blunt and unprofessional. You can do better
- 2/5
Room was not clean, hotel did not look like the photo online. Repeatedly asked for room to be cleaned. Can’t believe Wyndham would allow their name to be associated with this property.
- 3/5
- 5/5
Yes
- 5/5
Clean room, big enough for 3 people. The bathroom was nice and well lit. There is luggage storage that was really appreciated. Ask about how parking is billed at the garage across the street....we were 2 hours passed the allowed time and had to pay another full day. Pretty bad news at the time. The location is close to FIT, Chelsea Piers, 5th Avenue and lots of coffee shops and restaurants. Nice stay overall with a lot more space than typically found in NYC.
- 3/5
Terrible location on a filthy street
- 4/5
It was close to lots of attractions.
- 5/5
Yes
- 5/5
👍
- 5/5
My room on the 10th floor really felt like home for a week in NYC. A calm retreat amid the big city. Nothing fancy per se, but good value, and always happy to come back at the end of the day.
- 5/5
.
- 5/5
It's a friendly spot in a great location.
- 4/5
A lot of noise from adjoining rooms and hallway.
- 5/5
Awesome hotel and staff will be staying here again
- 2/5
Área is not nice and property could be better
- 5/5
Good evening hope all is well. My stay at this property always great, I am surprised every time I stay will never change anything. Thank you so much 👍
- 5/5
Perfect for families! The location is near Penn Station which is a perfect hub of all trains- you can get to practically anywhere from there. Close to the police department made us feel safe. Room size was great for our family of 6.
- 2/5
They refused to honor my Expedia reservation
- 3/5
Front desk employees are extremely rude and not professional.
- 4/5
Slightly tired hotel. Impression definitely affected by scaffolding that’s been erected outside of the hotel forever. Location absolutely perfect. Would not hesitate to go back.
- 5/5
Perfect very big, right in the heart of NYC.
- 5/5
The space was perfect! The front desk check in with M.D. was SO helpful and friendly! This has now become our go-to spot when in NYC. Close proximity to everything but far enough from Times Square to not be chaotic.
- 4/5
Nice stay - lobby is very small, offered water to guests in lobby, but cups ran out fairly frequently. Nice bathroom, great shower, plenty of towels. AC worked well and was loud (which I love!) The one person I asked for restaurants recommendations had really no knowledge of restaurants in the area. My only other comment was that the price the reception quoted me for an airport transfer was incorrect - I was quoted $98 plus 10% as I was paying with a credit card rather than cash. Intact, the price was $135, plus the 10% and tax, which ended up totaling $148. Kind of an unpleasant surprise, especially since I didn’t find out until reached the airport! Had I planned on paying in cash, I very well may not have brought enough!
- 5/5
Room was cleaned every day by the wonderful cleaning ladies, absolutely brilliant. Loved the complimentary water and the whole family suite was perfect. Good size and worth getting the two bathrooms. Everything was comfortable and would definitely stay again.
- 2/5
Difficult time checking in. Room key would not work at times. WiFi did not work.
- 5/5
Breakfast was delicious. We were able to sit in the dining area and buy drinks and socialize with our family. We appreciated this.

I do used to stay in Dubai where Hotel by Wyndham. I booked the family Room Saturday 09-13-2025 on my Birthday Celebration. First of All, I called Front Desk what I can do early check in or should be at 3PM and he told me that can come around 2 will be possible without charges. But I do understand that the policy and regulations of Hotel where I accustom to work as a Guest Service. I arrived since from 2:15 to get some accolade but still haven’t ready yet. I am still try to understand how the service goes and 3PM check-in. Even though 3PM, Room is not available because of still cleaning. And 3:10 he told me that Room is ready to go 1502 and then Room is still cleaning while I went to room. The room is still wet with cleaning smell. When I booked that I also mentioned “My Birthday Celebration”. I didn’t expect anything but something a little recognize for me. There is nothing. And also All the amenities should be for 5 people but put two person only. It’s not worth to spend the money in this hotel. First time using the brand in USA again, it’s wasted money.

Upon entering our room the temperature was 80 degrees. Some came and fixed the air but once we came back after being out the AC was off again. We then asked someone to come fix it but were told there was an issue and we should talk to the front desk. We were then met with some of the worst customer service including saying there was no way to contact a manager, told that we were lying about what the engineering team told us, and told that their AC only works if it’s above 70 degrees outside and there was nothing they would do. We shared that someone in our party had a medical condition and that we couldn’t sleep in an 80 degree room but they refused to do anything.

Hotel is just a short walk from Moynihan train staion and Madison Square Garden. It was very convenient for a concert at the Garden. I like this hotel because check-in is at 3pm rather than traditional 4pm like other hotels in the area. Room was clean and had everything we needed.. including a mini fridge. I noticed a large self-service luggage drop off room available, near the check-in desk, however I didnt need to use it. Ice machine is in the gym-lobby only, FYI. Great stay and will return for future Garden events.

Clean room

The room is in horrible condition. The coffee maker didn't work. The air conditioner never worked (even after someone came to reset it) in the sitting area. The bathroom has the stripping peeling off and the doors are weathered. The beds were made well tho.

Rooms were clean and complimentary water our rooms were cleaned everyday with fresh linens and towels each day. Location wasn't all that great.

It just felt like everything was super close because of the location of the hotel

It is a great central location. The staff are friendly. The rooms are average. The fridge was not very cold, and alarm clock was missing. But overall pretty good room.

Like the family room that accommodated us comfortably.

The Tryp is in a great location. 3 minute walk to Madison Square Garden or Penn Station. Great food in the area. I was disappointed by the very poor check-in experience. Only 1 team member at the desk. And he was on the phone for a solid 20 minutes ignoring the people waiting in line. We could hear every word, it was not hotel business. In fairness the other staff we met over the next few days were very attentive and friendly. We had a room problem; the a/c did not work. It just recirculated the air without chilling it. The room was never under 76f. Sometimes as high as 78. Too warm. The front lobby sent someone to fix it twice. Neither fix worked. Loved the location, but the a/c issue is a deal-breaker, we won’t return.

Other than that, the location is ideal.

I've stayed at Tryp before and had a good stay so decided to try it again with my family. I booked two rooms and requested adjoining, but did not get adjoining. Not a huge deal, but would have been convenient. The air conditioner in both of our rooms "needed to be reset", but no one came to do so. My husband is handy and got it going for a bit, but it conked out again. The rooms were nearly 80 degrees, which is way too hot for a menopausal woman with hot flashes! Also, there was no hot water by 8:30am in the morning.
