    Outstanding stay from start to finish! We were fortunate to receive a complimentary room upgrade, and the views were absolutely incredible from the corner room. The location couldn't be better, right in the heart of the Financial District, with easy access to everything we wanted to see and do. The room was spacious, comfortable, and well-appointed, and the bathroom was equally large and beautifully maintained. The service, accommodations, and overall experience exceeded our expectations. This is easily one of the best places to stay in the area, and we would happily return. Highly recommended!

    Exceptional experience. If you are young, single and in your 20’s-30’s come to this hotel. It gave me everything I needed and I was a short walk to SoHo, Manhattan and the 1 train subway stop to Uptown. WiFi was also excellent because there was a WiFi NAT device in my hotel room. They don’t provide breakfast, but I didn’t care because I wanted to explore the city for brunch anyway. 10/10 experience. @The Washington Hotel - Please stay affordable so that I can come back 🙏

    You have to take 2 elevators to the rooms so that does take some time. Don’t call your Ubers until you are on the 1st floor.

    The hotel was in a supreme location next to the World Trade Center. The room was clean, air conditioning was supreme, the cleaning attendant was lovely and beds were comfortable. The deck is beautiful to look out on the main level. Only concern is that it is only one working elevator to get to the main level, so be aware if you're running late.

    Once checked in there are three elevators to take you to your floor. Only one of those works. With over 400 rooms that creates a lot of waiting. I paid more for a corner room, and it was nice and sunny, but rather small with a definite 70’s vibe. The bed was really comfortable. Our TV never worked despite being told it was fixed twice. The location was great for what we wanted to see, but there were other, more up-to-date hotels I would try next time.

    The hotel is old and run down. Our room had no light for the nighttime, no reading light. It was a very loud air conditioner in the hall. Paint was chipping off the wall, and it is a very inconvenient hotel because the lobby is on the fifth floor.and only one elevator was working to the 19th floor, which we were on.

    Booked with them back in February. Blizzard happened, airport was shut down so my whole trip ended up getting canceled. They refused to give me a refund and told me to dispute it with my bank as it was an emergency weather shut down. My dispute got denied. Than I was just charged a second time. Would never book with them again. What a joke.

    It was very dark walking in so much so that we thought it was closed. The lobby was on the fifth floor which was odd. Everywhere we went it was very dim lighting. The room was sufficient. It could use some refreshing. The shower was nice. Overall everything was ok.

Me gusto mucho el trato de las personas. Ademas, que el área fue muy segura y hay mucho que conocer. Viaje con mi mascota y el hotel es amigable con ellas.     The room was quite dirty - there was pee all over the seat when I arrived, the walls are all heavily scratched and generally it just feels like an old kind of gross feeling room. The bed and pillows were clean and comfortable but the rest felt just old and run down overall. Most of the elevators were not working so you also have to wait a long time for the elevators.

    The staff was ok, but when it was time to clean the room, I noticed they only made the bed and vacuumed. I wish the would of wiped down the bathrooms and the tables in the room. Also the lighting is terrible in the rooms, it was hot in the room and in 702 the fridge didn’t work, it was going in and out. We also notified the front desks, they said they would change it out but never did so we stay 4 days without cold drinks

    When we checked on May 15th @ 9pm the staff that was there was absolutely the best throughout the entire three days. The assisted with catching the train, areas to view and finding our parking location. My girlfriend and I took a picture on Sunday when we checked out. Also the manager on Saturday May 16th was excellent.

    second it was 2am and a strong food smell came from my neighbor room which I believe it was take out and I could here the TV loud and clear! again he was entitled to do whatever he wanted because it’s his room but due to the situation I was getting the short end of the stick, I called and ask to be moved and I was told no again and pretty much tell me too bad and I’m sorry… this went on for three days.. hotel needs some work and the paint from the roof was coming off in the bathroom… I stayed in this property back when I was the W and it was perfect but now it’s an bit torn down… needs some love. I don’t know if I will stay there again unless they offer me a suit upgrade… and if that still think about it

    This was quite the surprise. As soon as you enter the smell of cigarette smoke hits you. The room was nothing like the website. The toilet had brown stains on the seat. The sheet was not clean/ brown stain. The cleaning lady did her best. The carpet in the room was dirty. No kettles in the room. No microwave in the hotel. The elevator was out of service. I would not recommend.

    This place clearly used to be a W hotel but now just serves as an abandoned skeleton of just that without effort to maintain or keep up with what it once was. Keycard scanners are uncovered and low effort, lighting decorations are falling apart, they literally had two stools stacked on top of each other in the lobby to hold a balcony door closed. The shower head was filthy. The rest of the room was fine, bed was comfy and view was cool but the place is just clearly falling apart and someone is just getting acceptable dollars for its existence. That said, it’s a fraction of the price of a proper hotel, so if you’re on a budget and don’t mind a janky elevator or certain elements of a hotel that look like they’re falling apart, you can get sleep here and be fine. It’s just wild that the amenities were out of service and whole place is like a ghostly version of a hotel that used to be in this place and its designs and branding are still present despite the nicer elements that actually made it something good.

    Very bad hotel, do no book. Front desk staff was incompetent and unprofessional, they charged my credit card twice and I had to close it out for security reasons. Then room key would not work multiple times and then the hapless front desk staff said, oh, it's because your card won't go through. The one you're charging wrongly! I had to lug a suitcase around the city after checking out rather than storing it with them b/c I was afraid they'd lose it. Very bad hotel, worst NY hotel experience in the 20 plus times I've been to the city in my life.

    The room was dirty. When I took a shower the ceiling fell on me they moved me to another room what was also dirty. Both rooms had mold all over in the shower and my first rom ceiling was covered with water stains and mold. I ended up checking out the next day. Emailed the manager with my issues and pictures but never got a response. Very disappointed and I will never return to this place !

    It was similar to a pig with lipstick. A bunch of poorly and cheaply done repairs, doesn’t make a 3 star hotel. There were holes in the sheets, the fridge wasn’t cool, the ice makers didn’t work, there were no outlets near the beds, reeked of weed, etc.

    The hotel was ok. It was a place to stay and clise to the sites we wanted to visit. The lobby entrance was dark. The elevators were broken for part of our stay. There was no water in the fitness room. Most troubling, our last night there, we smelled cigarette smoke in the hall, then it permeated our room. It was difficult to sleep. We opened a window for some relief. I called the front desk and they said they would send security. We all lost a night’s sleep. I went to the front desk and told them that I was the person who called. They said sorry. That’s it.

    I booked because the first time (in 2023) everything was amazing here. - Good value at a good location and a nice view (for now, WTC 5 could come in front in the future). Sadly the quality has gone way down since 2023. Staff is clearly there without wanting to be there. Also don't try to call the place... I tried 20x and only got someone on the phone once. Answering in chat also seems hard for them, guess they have to much to chat about with each other instead. Also very clear the owners are not intent on keeping this place in order as there are 1.001 visible issues from the lobby all the way to the room. They are no longer investing in keeping the propery (also, maybe because WTC 5 will at some point be built in front?). Some examples: toilet keeps running (turned off the faucet behind), bedboard has screw sticking out, lighting in the lobby coming loose, general scuffyness of everything, only 1 elevator working to the lobby, only 1 (sometimes 2) from the lobby to the rooms. MJ smell in the hallway of our room on the day of arrival was peculiar to say the least. I don't mind, but others might. Only thing I was worried about was potential fire hazard that comes with it.

    The pictures that are posted on this website for this hotel are amazing. However, the reality of it is false. This hotel room that I stayed in which was the king Luxe room was extremely dirty. The bathroom smelled like urine. I had to have housekeeper come and clean the bathroom upon checking. The carpet was dirty. The walls were dingy. Also, I myself have a king size bed in my home and I do not believe that the king Luxe room was a king bed size. This is not even a decent hotel to stay in. The reason why I gave it us two stars instead of one was because the house cleaning staff was extremely nice. I do not recommend staying here.

    Using the service elevators sucked, they smelled and access to the buttons was usually blocked. The shower did not drain, I was standing in 2” of water the entire time. Bathroom lighting was terrible plus there was either no fan in the bathroom or if there was, it didn’t work. I come to NYC often for work, but will not be staying here again. The staff was very friendly though.

    It was very combined close to a lot of popular locations en NYC We were assigned into our bedroom went we got in to the bedroom it was blood in the bathroom room the door was stacked we have to go down and ask to be relocated and they did our second bedroom was dirty not very clean it was gross ? but we stay anyway I’m not coming back

    Our stay was pretty good. It did the job but the bathroom was a bit dirty when we arrived like gunk in the sink and shower. The elevator situation is also quite odd. You have to ride two elevators to get up to your room. Overall, it was in a convenient area for us and we also had a great view of the World Trade Center. The staff was great when we brought up the condition of our bathroom and cleaned it up immediately, all in all, great experience.

    Location was amazing near a bar, one world trade, 9/11 memorial, souvenir gift shop, 24 hour deli, walking distance to battery park, Staten island Ferry, Wall Street and the bull. Our view was incredible. The hotel was interesting very dark like a night club. The staff was very nice and answered our questions. There was only one elevator that worked, the mirror could have been a little cleaner. Some of the fixtures were a little loose in the restroom and the lighting in the restroom was a little off but the beds were fine and the view made up for it. We were only looking for a bed and a home base so this was great. It was on the cheaper side so I was a little nervous but overall it was great!

    The location is was the beat part of the stay. The room was not clean at all. There was toothpaste still in the sink and dirt pretty much everywhere. I had to buy a shower mat to even shower.     Great location! The property was run down and quite dirty. The refrigerator in our room had to be rest twice during our stay because it just wouldn’t work. There was dust on the cabinets and the walls are scuffed, the sheets had holes in them and we couldn’t get an additional blanket the day we arrived; we had to wait until the following day. Additionally, the front desk ladies were not at all customer service oriented.

    The staff was very nice and accommodating even when I had to extend my stay a night, they were able to keep me in the same room. The hotel itself is definitely tired and could use a refresh (chipping paint, some broken lights, down elevators). But it was very clean in the rooms, the bed was comfortable, and the location was very quiet and safe (especially as a single female traveling alone.) For the cost in NYC it is a good stay and serves its purpose when you’re on a little bit of a budget but still want to be in a nice and safe area.

    The room I had booked was not ideal at all. There was no WiFi, the tv kept messing up which led me to watch nothing during my stay. There was no cellular signal which prevented me from doing work in the comfort of the room, I had to step outside to make calls or to finish some work. The mini fridge was also not working so I could not save any treats for the next day. I personally would not recommend staying here.

    The lock on the door quit working and we could not enter our room. Eventually, a custodian used a crowbar to break into the room so we could move our belongings to another room.     Next i went to my room only to find that the ceiling was falling apart and dirt all over the walls … toilet paper dispenser was coming out of the wall . Baseboards were chipped and the a/c vent was bent and falling apart off the wall . I addition the bed looked and smelled slept in . I had the bedding changed but still smelled. Was given another room only to find it to be 40% better . Great location but will never ! Return !!! Too bad I can’t share images…

    Carlos went above and beyond for me! So I left my phone in a Lyft.. didnt notice until I walked in the hotel. Carlos was the night desk clerk. I told him what happened and he suggeated that I call my phone.. well my phone was dead. I called it anyways hoping that the driver would turn it on. My phone was dead when I got in the Lyft and the driver let me use his charger.. thats how I left it.. moving too fast.. so I went to my room thinking my whole trip to New York is now ruined... i needed my phone! I woke up the next morning and Carlos was still there... I walked to the desk in despair hoping the Lyft guy brought the phone back... he hadnt.. but Carlos jad been calling the phone until the driver picked up! Carlos got his actual phone number and talked to the driver for me. I was able to get my phone back thanks to Carlos's care... thank you sooo much. He saved my first New York visit for my bday.

    Check-in was just as bad. The receptionist was rude and unwelcoming. When I asked a simple question after a long flight, she pointed at a paper and said, “All the info you need is there — take a picture.”The worst part happened on checkout day. The night before, a male staff member told us we could have a 12 PM checkout. When I called in the morning, the same receptionist said there was “no such thing,” claimed checkout was at 11, and said she was “doing us a favor” by extending it to 11:30. Later, in the lobby, we witnessed the receptionist having an issue with another guest over his ID and credit card. Even though his $150 deposit had already been charged, she denied him a room and said the refund would take three days. Another employee made a rude comment about the deposit.After the guest spoke with the manager and left, the receptionist and manager laughed and talked badly about him in front of other guests. I even recorded part of it because it was so unprofessional.After seeing how they treat customers, I regret spending my money here.Don’t let the pictures fool you.

    Upon arriving the initial room i was in, was pretty clean though the trim of the “head board above the bed was falling off and the led lights were bunched up in one place. The bathroom floors were dusty. Something about the tile just wasn't clean. I got moved to another room upon request. This room was much better, nothing out of place, clean. The only thing missing was a microwave or mini fridge. This hotel looks like it was amazing when it first opened. My stay was pretty peaceful, the lobby looked nice. Everything was good for the price. Maybe not again though.

    Great location! We could see the WTC from our windows. Close to the metro and good restaurants. Clean, friendly staff. I stayed with my two teenagers. We appreciated the service of storing our luggage for a low fee on the last day of our trip after we checked out.

    First, we check in and were given a terrible room, which was not cleaned. The bathroom was dirty and stains in the sink. There was trash left in shelfs and trash bin from previous stay. Meaning the room was not sanitized well enough for hosting us. Upon complaining we were given a new room which was worst than the first, this one had broken furniture and dead roaches lying around. The heating and cooling was not working as well. this place is uninhabitable for any given stay and the staff knows this. Apart from the location it being close to WTC nothing about the stay speaks luxury that they try to upsell with the photos.

    The rooms need some upgrades. There were two waters stains in the bathroom on the ceiling, and paint was peeling in the shower. I could also see holes behind the tv where something was previously hung. There were also several stains on the wall and curtains. It would also be nice if these rooms had fridges. Lastly, the toilet seat was yellow.

    The original rooms we booked were not clean or ready for us when we arrived after 3pm. We were then given two rooms on separate floors which was difficult navigating with multiple children under 5 years old. The hotel then offered us room that were on the same floor. However, when we arrived back at the hotel to put our two year old down for a nap the new rooms were not ready and the old rooms we had were not available either. Really poor communication and lacked professionalism on the side of the hotel and staff.

    This morning I planned to ask the front desk something but the phone completely wouldn't work to call anyone. I decided to go down and talk with them only to get STUCK IN AN ELEVATOR!! It would go down but the doors wouldn't open. I went up and down about 5 times when it finally opened on the 30th floor. I hurriedly got out afraid it would never open again. I waited for a different one to take me back down when another guest told me about the elevators on the other side. Problem was - those took me down to floor 1. There was no way of getting to 5 to get to the front desk other than going around in a circle. Finally I get to a desk and I explain to them what happened and they just laugh and say it's being worked on so I must have gotten stuck in the cross fire. Excuse me, this was not funny. I was terrified. My question was about bag service and was told it would be someone on the 1st floor. For the entire weekend we were in and out of the building, but never was there anyone on the first floor. Well, except drunken club goers.

    To improve: very dark lighting in the bathroom, bathroom generally needed a deep clean and freshen up, toilet seat was peeling and gave off an odour, bathroom door didn’t shut at all, no conditioner provided, elevators broke whilst we were there and the staff did not apologise at all, hairdryer and iron were missing from our room on arrival.

    Location was fine, a little hidden. The lobby was cool, but also a little hidden (on the 5th floor). There were very few if any amenities. Room was clean but a little ghetto (ripped comforter, exposed wiring, etc) I always say the sign of dingy hotel is if they give you conditioner or not... this was a not.     Safe didn’t work, put us in a smaller room. That room didn’t have a working closet light, the shower door didn’t close so water leaked out with every shower, paint peeling off the ceiling in the shower and scuffs all over the wall. Fridge was barely ok temp wise. Elevators were down last day we were here. Maintenance guy was nice who looked at the safe.

    The hotel is run down. One side of the elevator wasn’t working. The entrance to the main level feels pretty shady and unsafe at night. None of their bars are open, they actually look permanently closed. Everything was clean thought just outdated and worn. The staff was very friendly though. It is also in a good location.

    Checking went smoothly. When I got up to the room, it had a funny smell to it. The view was really nice. I turned the shower on and it flooded the bathroom. Maintenance had to come up. It took them about 45 minutes. Both guys were really nice. They had good food spots recommendations and good conversation. Shortly after housekeeping, came up to clean the excess water off the floor. A delayed me getting ready for our event at 9 o’clock. I was unable to do my make up. I didn’t let it ruin my trip although I feel like the hotel should have compensated me in some sort of way. Not sure if I will be returning in the future.

    I have stayed at this hotel before, the rooms with a single bed are very tight, so set your expectations accordingly. The double beds are full sized, so I wouldn't suggest more than one adult per bed. The staff will be casually dressed, there doesn't seem to be a staff uniform, but as a native New Yorker it didn't bother me. Overall they were very nice and helpful. The room was clean, but the walls and surfaces show a massive amount of wear & tear. There were scuffs, dents and marks on every wall and on most surfaces. The remote to my TV was malfunctioning as well. During my stay 2/3 of the elevators to the rooms were out of order. This made getting to the lobby take a very long time. Especially if the elevator is full, you may have to wait for the next one. I was given a complimentary extra hour to check out, but at 12:10, as I had opened the door to put my bags in the doorway to do a final sweep of the room I could hear the housekeeper complaining to the front desk about us taking too long as if I wasn't standing in the doorway. I had to say to her "We Are Leaving Now!". Overall, I had an adequate experience. The elevators being broken was the main issue.

    My friends and I stayed at this hotel for a bachelorette party and we had an amazing time! The staff was so nice and pleasant. Pedro was very helpful with helping us find parking and bringing all our stuff up. The front desk staff was friendly and kind. The hotel itself was beautiful. There definitely are things that needed to be repaired. Few dings and dents but hopefully they’ll keep up with it because this hotel has so much to offer. Skinos is attached which is a beautiful restaurant. There’s shops and stores within walking distant. The views were incredible! The rooms were clean! I was blown away by the price and the size of their suites! Would highly recommend! It’s a hidden gem.

    The only two things that were great about staying at the Washington were the location/view and security guard Victor for his help and guidance during our first visit to NYC. The hotel was dark, confusing to navigate, the man who checked us in was not very clear on instruction of where our room was and how to navigate the elevator system which sent us on a goose chase throughout the hotel/residence building. There was no laundry facility in the building or near the property. The room was extra small and lights didn't work, walls were dirty, no proper wash rags available, and the room didn't offer other appliances like microwave or small fridge. I will not stay here again if I ever visit NYC again.

    As long as you go into this hotel realizing it's a value hotel, it's a good recommendation. The location is amazing, the people are nice, and generally everything worked (good water pressure, great AC unit), but it is very run down. It's a shame, because you can tell it was built as a very nice hotel, but it has not been well maintained. The photos look nice, but in reality, everything is worn down and tired. The biggest issue was only having one of the elevators was working, which created a bottle neck getting to the rooms.

    - there were no lights in the room - the elevators were broken the entire trip so everyone in the entire building had to use 1 lift which resulted in anxiety and multiple panic attacks -you can see through the shower to the bedroom so everyone in the room can see you -the air conditioner was broken -the lobby is as if you walked into the bad part of Alice and Wonderlands trip -terrace was closed -we reserved two queens and they were mini full sized beds The only redeeming quality of this place was the cleaning crew.     Check-in is simple. Rooms are clean but expect nothing but towels and hand soap. No water. No coffee. No lotion. Corner room is very noisy when it’s windy out.

    The staff was very nice, but this is a hotel that has outlived its splendor. You can see missing paint on the floorboards in rooms and the reception area. There is a bar, but no alcohol, glasses, or bartender- basically a ghost bar. For the amount we spent per night, I could have gone uptown with better facilities and room service. I definitely felt I overpaid.

    Two days in a row the Do Not Disturb card was on my door handle. And both days the cleaning staff ignored it and knocked. One time I was in the room a one time I was at the elevators. They do not respect the basic privacy that card requests. I won’t be staying there again. I can’t trust the staff to honor privacy.

    We had the worst experience at this property. The first room had water damage and mold. After reporting to the desk, they moved us to a room that smelled like rotten food and hadn’t been cleaned. The staff apologized and we asked for a refund. Since we booked through Expedia, the staff could not refund but said they would allow when Expedia engaged. The ownership refunded part of our $ but kept nearly $400. It’s inappropriate for them to keep any part of our reservation since the property was so misrepresented in their advertising. Stay away from this dump.

    The staff were not overly friendly here and the rooms themselves are run down and the elevators not functioning properly. The lighting was peeling off the wall in our room, the paint was scuffed up and the baseboards chipped. The lighting in the bathroom was terrible. But the bed was comfortable and it was reasonably convenient for us in terms of location. We could not believe that they had no coffee at all and the reception person gave us a monosyllabic response when we asked about it.

    This hotel feels outdated and overpriced. For the amount charged, I expected a much better experience. The water pressure was weak, and even the hand soap wouldn’t lather properly. Housekeeping was inconsistent — my room wasn’t turned over correctly, and I found dirty towels left behind multiple days in a row. I was here for business, and it was frustrating to spend that much money for such a disappointing stay. Definitely not worth it.

    I love, love coming to NYC. I was here for one night while traveling, and my main reason for booking hotels Downtown is for the amazing views, period. This hotel is falsely advertising just that, their views. Their rooftop bar is no longer open, which is really like a main attraction for many. You can still access a part of the balcony, but you wouldn’t know if you don’t asked, because the doors are closed off. Even if you do go out. It’s black. No lights, just chairs. You can’t access the open rooftop part at all that is seen online. The hotel needs a really bad update. The rooms and bathrooms are so not worth it. Just old. I paid extra for a corner room with a view, but I got a back corner room with absolutely no view. I won’t be spending this kind of money to ever stay here again. The only plus was housekeeping was so nice and sweet, and I did get to view the One World Trade Center from a dark balcony with no lights.

    This property was left vacant after Covid for many years and has never been maintained. There were dirt and stains, holes in the sheets in a terrible odor in the room.     We stayed at The Washington for 3 nights. The hotel is located near a restaurants, attractions, and easy to get on and off public transportation. Rooms are rundown and old, the staff was friendly. Hotel has a very dark lobby. Bath towels and beddin are old and over use, carpets are old in the rooms and hallways, other than that the hotel is located in a very convenient location, near World Trade Center and Financial District and Brooklyn Bridge

    I stayed at this hotel on October 6–7, 2025, and had one of the most stressful experiences I’ve ever had while traveling. Upon check-in, there was an issue with the $150 security deposit on my international business card. It took almost an hour on the phone with my bank and the front desk to fix it. The staff finally agreed to charge the card directly and refund the $150 upon checkout. The next day when I tried to check out, my room key didn’t work. The front desk staff claimed I hadn’t paid my deposit (which I had), and spoke to me rudely and disrespectfully. When I asked for her name, she refused and told me to ask the manager. The manager was just as unhelpful, refused to check the records, and even threatened to call security to remove me — while I was six months pregnant. After nearly 40 minutes of arguing, the original staff member confirmed I had in fact paid. By then, I had missed my flight and had to wait five extra hours at the airport. The entire situation caused extreme stress and exhaustion. To make matters worse, they still haven’t refunded my $150 deposit. This was completely unacceptable and unprofessional. I will never stay here again, and I strongly advise others to avoid this property unless management makes serious changes to how they treat their guests.

    Very central location for anyone needing to be in the financial district for meetings, near the NYSE, etc. The property is safe and secure, check in and check out was a breeze, and everyone was gracious, even when I checked in at nearly midnight. The rooms are quite spacious and have everything you need. There is construction across the street, but it's New York, so there seems to always be something getting a facelift! The work didn't bother me as it started a bit later in the day and ended well before my return at the end of the evening.

    This is an incredibly poor experience for a very high price. Broken everything - elevators, room fixtures, gym equipment - and no amenities outside your room. First night, one elevator was working - and only half the buttons. By the last night I was waiting 10 minutes to get in the service elevator.

    Broken elevators. Guests had to use the service elevator. It took loads of time to get to the lobby because of staff and guests using one service elevator. A guest helped me! No one at the desk for 15 mins when I arrived. Poor signage re how to get to the service elevator. No coffee maker, one small shampoo, no conditioner, no mouthwash, nothing! Old bathroom features. Clean room but certainly not worth that price.

    This hotel was very reasonably priced for Manhattan. It’s down between Wall St and the Battery very close to the World Trade Centre so transportation is really easy, you can be in Times Square in just over half an hour, the room was spacious with an amazing view one One WTC. The staff were nice and the room was cleaned every day. Now the downside, we had a fridge and an iron which was great but no kettle, which for a Brit was tough. The building has 30 floors of rooms with one lift to reception on 5 and a second set to the rooms. When you arrive it feels like a nightclub with little or no sign to explain where to check in, luckily someone told us. The big issue was most of the lifts didn’t work. One of the 3 from the street was operational and one of 3 for the top floors, which completely gave up at one point and we had to use the service lift. I would stay there again for the price but leave plenty of time to exit the building!

    I was given a room that was not cleaned!!! No towels! Wash rags!!! Mirrors that had soap scum on…nothing!! The response I got when I brought it to the attention of the front desk…I was told the attendants must have ran out of stuff to complete the cleaning!!! This is a huge outfit!! How can you run out of linen and towels!!! Had to walk 2 flights down to get ice!! The one on my floor didn’t work!!! Then to top it off…both elevators went down since yesterday!!! It was an attendant that advised me to use the service elevator hidden in a closet and not readily seen!!! WHAT!!!! Unacceptable!! I thought I had found another hotel to add to my choices downtown, because I’m in New York a lot…but has been greatly disappointed!!! But still loves the ambiance and the layout of the room…

    The property itself could use some work, it is obvious that it was once really nice and a few good weeks of repairs would do wonders. The shelf in the shower is sharp, if someone ever has a medical issue and passes out they could get seriously injured. Really great place, amazing location, incredibly lovely staff and could really be a polished gem with little effort.
