As a hotel snob that cannot stay anywhere I was beyond pleased with the Kimberly Hotel. Five star service in a four star hotel! Kimberly management, whatever you are doing, do not stop. Housekeeping was amazing! Room was spotless. This is the first hotel I have ever been in where it was clean under the beds!!!! (OCD travellers, you know what I am talking about!) Clean, clean, clean. No dust, no random hairs, clean. Nice sized room for NYC with coffee makers in room.

They have done everything right at this Old World style hotel. From the Old world ornate European style of the furnishings to the spacious rooms and well appointed bathrooms and in room bar and snacks. In a perfect location within walking distance to shopping and great restaurants. Has its own 3 great restaurants within the hotel. The staff is welcoming from the doorman to the rooftop waitstaff. If you appreciate the style of days gone by The Kimberly is a beautiful hotel.

excellent hotel located far enough away from the Times Square crowd but easily walkable. We stayed in the Kimberly and walked to a show on Broadway very quickly. Were also able to enjoy gluten free menu options at Bistango right at the hotel.

Arrived at 7 AM they stored my bags and informed me when room was ready. Service was impeccable especially Harry the doorman and Gus in the restaurant. Very spacious and great location. Extremely quiet.

This is our second time staying at the Kimberly it is amazing. The doorman and bellhop Harry and Ralph are AWESOME. My husband even said the door man is the first impression and he is always a hit. Make you feel like a real VIP every time. From start to finish at your stay the staff goes above and beyond. Recommend 100% and we will return and make this a regular place to stay when visiting the city.

The property as beautiful and well taken care of. I enjoyed the steakhouse and the rooftop restaurant. The room was a throwback and well maintained. The staff was very helpful and it was a quick walk to broadway to see a show. I will definitely sta here again/

Room was great size as was the bathroom, only negative was the shower not draining properly. Staff was nice and helpful. Roof top restaurant was a plus but unfortunately it rained all weekend. DJ played Saturday night. Not so much a dancing venue but the music was nice with a drink. Parking garage is only a block away just on the other side of hotel which was a plus.

Convenient to Grand Central, very elegant and super clean, we were able to check in early with a complimentary upgrade, on premises Italian restaurant was superb, rooftop lounge was relaxing and a great source for a midnight snack and nightcap after a show, staff were readily available and all exceptionally pleasant and helpful! Thermostats were not adjustable in the room which made for a stuffy night to sleep but many hotels seem to be implementing this cost control.

The rooms are huge for New York. We have celiac so it was critical to have a kitchen and the staff and restaurant are safe and informed. We will stay here every time.

We very much enjoyed our stay.

Location was good for the areas we planned to visit and explore, Room had a Great Gatsby look and feel but some might call it outdated. The A/C wasn't turned on the 1st night. Had to sleep with the windows open and called the next morning to get it "fixed". Asked for a higher floor with a view when booking, as it was my wifes 1st time going to the city, and we got put in a 6th floor with dirty windows facing construction on 50th. Staff was pleasant but for the money there are better options you can stay at.

The staff was exceptional in their help and knowledge.

For example, when we asked for a rom with a balcony, they found one available. For example, when that room wasn’t ready, they comped drinks at the rooftop bar.

Excellent service from check in to departure. Accommodated all my requests with a smile. King suites are a great size and most have a balcony. We will definitely stay again!

We did have some issues with the hotel as we booked two queen beds, but that was not available otherwise it was fine but could use some updating

The location is absolutely perfect. We were able to walk to so many iconic spots and easily access everything we wanted to do, yet it still felt calm and removed from the chaos when we came back to the hotel. The staff made our experience exceptional. Every interaction was warm, kind, and genuinely helpful—they made us feel so welcome from the moment we arrived. The suite itself was incredible. So much space (a rare find in NYC!), beautifully kept, and the bed was unbelievably comfortable after long days of exploring. It truly felt like a place to relax, not just sleep. This hotel added so much to our trip, and we will absolutely be back. Highly, highly recommend!

This is officially my go to hotel for all future NY trips. I couldn’t find an unfriendly member of their staff. The front desk staff was phenomenal and they went above and beyond to make our family feel special. The bellmen were very kind and they always offered to grab the door or flag down a ride for us. The room was so very clean. We had the one bedroom suite and it was incredible! The hotel is close to everything. We walked to Times Square twice. The rooftop restaurant was out of this world. My vacation was great, but this hotel was the highlight!

The “meh”: The bathroom doesn’t have a lot of counter space which was not optimal. The shower was hard calibrating hot and cold. The bad: noisy!!! The heating and cooling is old school and it’s high flow, which is good, but it’ll dry you out fast.

New York is a walking city, and you can walk to many New York landmarks from the Kimberly. At Christmas, you can walk to Rockefeller Center Christmas tree is 10 minutes.

Noisier than I would have liked but was manageable. But the location was perfect. It was nice that they had complimentary snacks after 11am. We were out exploring so didn’t get to enjoy this treat. I will absolutely return.

The Kimberly gives you a great overall experience. The rooms are luxurious and they take care to make everything feel inviting. The best part of the stay is the staff - everyone is so courteous, helpful and friendly. They make you want to never leave!

This hotel is a true gem. We were absolutely in love with our gorgeous two-room suite and felt like we wanted to stay there forever. The Bistango restaurant was intimate and charming, and the rooftop bar was stunning with its panoramic view of the city and the new JP Morgan LED lights. We will definitely stay here again!

Room furnishings are somewhat dated in appearance, but rooms are very large, it comes equipped with a mini kitchen, and location is great—central in Manhattan and within a block of subway station. Friendly staff. Highly recommend.

The room was gorgeous as usual. They did not have my Hotels.com reservation, which they quickly fixed, and did not have my Hotels.com room rate, which took a long phone call to fix.

We stayed for our one year wedding anniversary which the hotel was very generous and thoughtful about helping us celebrate. Everything was spectacularly clean and having a balcony was wonderful. Modern amenities with a traditional and luxurious aesthetic. Rooftop bar is adorable and the staff were all so warm and helpful. Loved it!

I asked if we could get a room on a higher floor and they upgraded us to a beautiful 2 bedroom suite on the 26th floor. It was incredible and we thoroughly enjoyed our time. The Staff in this hotel make an beautiful hotel an amazing hotel. We came across it quite by accident and took a gamble on it over my usual choice of the Hilton or Westin - and are so glad we did!

Henry and Max, door gentleman, MD and Durant were lovely and kind. More importantly they seemed to thoroughly love what they do. They all were eager to make sure we had the best vacation ever, and me and my BFF did thanks to them. The concierge lady was knowledgeable and informative. This was my second stay at the Kimberly and I will keep coming back and recommend to others bc the location, great adjoining restaurants, cleaning staff/room(AMAZING), and most importantly the staff. These are people who work very hard with ease and experience. They are keepers at all cost! I could go on and on…it felt like home away from home. LOVED IT! Thank you Kimberly staff!

Nice big suite, but some obvious investment/maintenance issues. Microwave and coffee maker not working properly, hand held in shower poor and no chairs on balcony. Beds extremely comfortable, though, although the fire alarm went off during the night and had to walk down to the lobby where the staff knew nothing and offered nothing.

This place has old-school charm and a great location. Everything was clean, and the staff were friendly and helpful.

The room was beautiful. The way the suite was set up allowed us and our adult daughter privacy. It's in a great location, easy to get anywhere in Manhattan. We loved the breakfast at the Upstairs enclosed rooftop/penthouse restaurant. Our server each day, Arian, was exceptional. He made it a pleasure to dine there.

The room was nice and the location was awesome. The hotel offered a lot of great amenities.

Our room was spacious and spotless and the bed was extremely comfortable. The daily breakfast on the top floor was delicious. All staff members went out of their way to be helpful and friendly. We will definitely stay here on our next trip to Manhattan.

LOved our beautiful 2 room apt. Lovely old decor in great condition. Check in was a nightmare. We arrived at 2 and they said to come back at 3. Killed an hour and returned at 3 to a long line that didn't move. They had a new computer system and they didn't know what they were doing. Took until 4:15 to get in our room. We missed our afternoon entry into museum. Things happen, but show some resepect....give us a breakfast or a glass of wine to compensate. Do something to show the customer that you care. The staff was trying but they had no support. A manager should have been present.

I stay here every time I’m in NY. If the prices weren’t so high, I’d have stayed there my entire duration of almost two weeks. I stayed there 2 years ago as well, I noticed one of the same workers there, so it provides me comfort knowing the hotel keeps their employees. This hotel is by far better than so many. When I come back next year, will choose this hotel first. It’s true NY service, extreme professionalism, with the best customer service. I can’t say enough good things about this hotel.

The Kimberly was excellent. The staff was attentive, the bed very comfortable, the rooms were beautiful and spacious. The rooftop bar was very cool and we enjoyed a tasty breakfast at a popular luncheonette right next door too. The street noise can get loud, but ear plugs did the trick. Would highly recommend!

The room was amazing. Size and balcony were a plus. Great shower and amenities.

This was a comfortable stay with an attentive bell man. I would not consider this a luxury hotel though. It served its purpose, the only issue was, I wanted to sleep in but I was disturbed by some type of maintenance or renovation work happening in the bedroom directly above mine.

I travel monthly and have stayed at many hotels. I love finding a more boutique experience and this was on the top of my experiences! The staff were amazing. They were attentive, supportive and provided amazing service. The rooms were clean and spacious and the bedding was comfy!! We really had a great time and would absolutely stay here again!

We love this hotel . Excellent staff and very good sized rooms . Feels like our own NYC apartment . 2 of 3 elevators were down when we needed to check out which was annoying . But overall we really like The Kimberly

We only got the coffee and muffins on Monday so can't speak to the breakfast. All of the staff was outstanding and friendly. The bed was very comfortable, the rooms were quiet and the tub is amazing!

The bedroom had two windows that had a large fake grass covering them. This was I guess to cover the fact that our room was on 3rd (3G) floor and over looked a secondary roof. I really wanted to get better views for the amount you spend for the room. We did not request to move to any other room, as were just used it for sleep and shower but wanted to be in that area of town. If I stay there again I would definitely request a higher room with real view.

This is the second time we have stayed at The Kimberly hotel and again did not disappoint!! The welcoming bellhops every time you enter or leave the hotel are AMAZING!! The rooms are spacious and so clean! We will definitely be back!!!

This is our favorite hotel in NYC. The suites are huge for the city and the staff is wonderful.

The staff was wonderful—especially Ralph, who was incredibly helpful and such a pleasure to interact with. The only downside was the location being right next to a police precinct, which made the lower floors a bit noisy at times. Aside from that, the room was spacious and comfortable, and I really appreciated having a microwave (hard to come by these days!). This was my second stay at The Kimberly, and I’m already looking forward to coming back again.

Although food options were not extensive, what the offered was very good. Staff and service was a cut above. Requests were handled quickly and staff was always courteous even if only in passing. Also staff was extremely helpful in arranging top notched transportation back to the airport saving us time and money. Highly recommend this hotel.

The suite was amazing, at a fantastic price, and the staff were welcoming and friendly. A particular shout out to Ralph who greeted us on arrival and made us feel we were on our tenth visit, not our first. To say I recommend the Kimberly is an understatement - I urge you to stay here if you want to stay in Midtown.

The Kimberly needs to improve its lighting in the rooms and bathrooms. The bathrooms and rooms are very dark.

Staff and Hotel are great. Shower in our room was luxurious. We marveled at the art and antique furniture inside the lobby and our room. Will stay again next time we’re in NYC.

Wonderful overnight stay before a cruise! I LOVED this hotel and will definitely be back the next time I travel to the city. This hotel has the most friendly and helpful staff I have ever encountered. The rooms are wonderful and I love the old time feel of everything. Just a FABULOUS stay.

Loved that we had 2 bathrooms! Hotel and room was very clean. One block away from subway, easy to catch a taxi or uber out front. Plenty of dining options nearby. Very central to what we wanted. It’s not on the super modern side, but very well taken care of and bathrooms do seem remodeled. Only wish thy had put in a fan in restroom! Will stay here again, maybe next June.

We enjoyed our stay at the Kimberly. This is a suite hotel with very large suites with a kitchen and large sitting room. This isn’t a modern hotel but it was very comfortable. The staff was extremely nice and friendly. Ralph the doorman was exceptional.

Amazing stay. Everything was first class.

The only thing we didnt like was the roof top bar, couldn't see anything sitting down you had to stand up to see the view of city to many plants. Outside of that rooms were great. Front desk and everything else was amazing.

Right when we walked in, the front desk was super friendly and informative. Asking about our trip and offering services that might enhance our visit. We loved the doormen who were very friendly, helpful and remembered who we were. The room was full of amenities, everything we would need and very clean. We absolutely loved the classic beauty of this hotel, rooftop bar was so fun. This will definitely be our Hotel for NYC!

The most amazing accommodations. The staff is so friendly and helpful. The room was impeccably, clean and comfortable with small bar set up and a microwave. Housekeeping service as requested. The rooftop restaurant/bar is beautiful. The street side restaurant is also awesome. So glad we stayed here.

New York City dozens of times in my life and stayed at many different places. This was my first time staying at The Kimberly I can honestly say I've never been to a place that fit my needs exactly, had such GREAT hospitality and customer service. Ralph treated us like we were family, answered all of our questions and even helped us out with transportation, food, options, and the best rooftop views. Loved the location of this hotel and the staff were excellent, concierge, bell hop, front staff. Beds were so comfortable and linens were luxurious. Would definitely stay here again on a trip to New York. We walked to Rockefeller Plaza and the subways and Grand Central were all walkable.

The service was that of a five star, 5 diamond hotel… from the check-in to the door men, and a special shout out to Ralph who took great care of us with everything from ice to water to anything we could think of. Also, the spaciousness of the rooms is unheard of elsewhere in the city, so nice to have a suite! I will definitely stay here again!

The true test of a property is how the management reacts when something goes sideways. I had an issue at check-in and not only did they immediately fix it, they made amends right away and didn’t offer excuses. 5-star customer service. Will definitely stay there again.

We had a great stay at The Kimberley. The one bedroom suite was really spacious, had all the things you would need for your stay, was clean and the bed was really comfortable! It was located in a great area, walkable to a lot of the key sights and there were subway stations nearby. The staff were friendly and helpful, the rooftop bar was really nice and the hotel were able to book us a car to JFK for a price not too dissimilar to a yellow taxi once tip and tolls were included.

The Kimberly was a terrific find. I recommended it highly. The breakfast buffet is so good I wish I could have breakfast there every morning. The entire staff was very personable and efficient.

We stayed in a spacious comfortable and clean suite. Hotel staff was always warm and helpful. We had dinner in the Italian restaurant of the hotel and the food was quite good. We had a very positive experience and would recommend this hotel without hesitation.

This hotel is gorgeous. The suite was spacious and furnished nicely. The bed was super comfy. My biggest complaint would be the shower. It was very difficult to figure out. I do wish there was some seating on the balcony to enjoy it more.

Spent an overnight at the hotel for my youngest child's birthday. The hotel was beautiful and very comfortable. The room had a kitchenette with a dishwasher, microwave, small refrigerator, coffee maker and even dishes. We didn't use most of these due to the length of stay, but this would be handy for longer stays. I've stayed at a half dozen NYC Hotels and this one was near the top.

Hotel was walkable to most of the major tourist attractions in New York. Loved the upstairs lounge and breakfast area.

Ťhis hotel is charming with the most amazing customer service. The doormen, especially Ralph make your very first impression of the hotel friendly and welcoming. We had a one bedroom suite with a balcony. Lots of room and amenities. A little kitchenette with complimentary coffee and waters and a very well stocked mini bar with alcohol and snacks if a bit pricey. How generous they are with bottled water more than makes up for it. The bed is very comfortable and the bathroom is very nice with great amenities. Request firmer pillows that was our mistake. My only suggestion would be furniture is needed for the balconies.

Perfect location for our transportation needs both public and taxi. Neighborhood packed with excellent restaurants, shopping, grocery stores. The friendly staff is the best. The hotel is elegant but not too big or flashy. It’s our preferred home in NYC whenever we visit.

We had an overall pleasant experience at The Kimberly Hotel, however, while the staff was very nice about it being our wedding day, we didn’t receive any other special treatment which was a bit disappointing. I mean for the price you pay per night…send something to the room!

Stayed at The Kimberly Hotel from August 12–16 for my 50th birthday and first trip to NYC. Everyone I met — from the doorman to the front desk and management — was amazing. Service was top notch and they truly made my stay unforgettable. Highly recommend!

Our first time at the Kimberly Hotel and we had a great memorable experience! Staff was very welcoming and went above and beyond to help with anything we needed. Rooftop breakfast was fun while celebrating my son’s birthday. Great views of NYC too. The Italian restaurant downstairs was very good and staff was also very attentive. Great location on the east side with lots of shops and places to see. Central Park zoo is about a 15 minute walk from the hotel.

The updated rooms kept the nice old charm and are quite large, especially for downtown New York. All the staff we encountered were very nice and helpful except for a waitress in the rooftop bar, which was unfriendly. We had to chase her down twice, 15 minutes apart, to ask for our tab. There was only 1 other group in our area and we had to pay at the bar. No apologies were given. She just took payment from my wife and walked away. If it wasn't for her being a sour puss, we would of had a great experience. The DJ played a great track. The breakfast staff and the breakfast, on the rooftop patio, were very nice!

Lovely staff and incredible one bedroom suite!

I thought the hotel and the rooms had so much character and were so interesting in the architecture and design. And it is really perfectly located. Easy to walk to the theaters for shows and it was easy to run down to Central Park to get some runs in. And a subway stop is right around the corner.

1. Probably the most spacious 1 bedroom suite I have ever seen in NYC! 2. Loved having a refrigerator, microwave, dishes, dishwasher to eat inside if we were tired of eating out 3. Great location in midtown, walk to subway, buses, 5th avenue 4. Nice amenities- bottled water, coffee and snacks from 11-4. 5. Staff and doorman pleasant and helpful!

The hotel is well maintained, staff are very helpful. It is close enough to walk to most attractions but away from the really busy tourist areas. There are lots of restaurants and food outlets nearby.

Dresser was strange, and I felt as though if I weren’t very, very careful, a drawer could fall out on my foot. Space a bit cramped. But having a living room makes up for a lot! And the location was great for dining, close to subway—just extremely convenient all around. Dogs and children welcome!

The staff was very friendly and the hotel reminds me of the Tipton from Suite Life!
