Reviews
The hotel is highly praised for its excellent location, close to Rockefeller Center, 5th Avenue, and Central Park. Guests appreciate the friendly, helpful, and efficient staff. The rooms are described as clean and modern, but on the small side. The hotel offers great value, but some guests find it pricier than other nearby hotels.

Some years ago we had the fortune to stay here and we had a great and pleasant time. My family and I were excited to go back and a spend a weekend this time. However, our air tickets were cancelled the some day to inclement weather in the midwest. We had several thunderstorms, tornado warnings and flash flooding warnings. The airlines cancelled all flights from several cities from the midwest. Expedia did an exceptional job advocating about our case to the hotel. Unfortunately, the hotel decided to not provide any type of refund or at least some type of accommodation/credit. I understand that the reservation was very clear about not being refundable, but I expected some type of understanding or empathy. We even had cancelled a prior reservation as we needed to add another family member in the room. I did not complain at all about this. The hotel was able to get from us 2 separate full reservations that we never used. It is very disappointing the decision the hotel made. Sometimes there are more important things than just money. Well, you can imagine that I will neither stay nor recommend this hotel. There are many other options in NYC. I hope this will make management reflect for future clients and have some empathy. Remember, traveling experience is all about service and not just the location.

Really great little hotel in a fantastic location overlooking Rockerfeller centre. Free laundry, big terrace space and unusual for a US hotel you cam switch the heating on as well as the aircon! Will be staying there again

Amazing location literally across the street from Rockefeller Center and Radio City on 51st between 5th and 6th Ave.; loved being able to walk across for a quick bite or a cup of coffee. No more than a 5 to10-minute walk to Central Park, Times Square, theatre district, subway, shopping, and more. Radio City was hosting the Tony Awards while we were there, so there was some setup/teardown noise on the street overnight, but that's the way it goes when you're in such a central location; it was all pretty exciting to watch the area transform so quickly! Loved the second floor coffee/tea station and the free refillable water bottle stations on each floor. Staff was so helpful, booked a cab for us for an early morning flight, and they were ready and waiting when we came downstairs. Room was clean and beds were comfortable; just right for our little group. Would definitely go back!

The 2nd floor lounge was not comfortable. I think the AC was broken, but there were just 4 fans blowing hot air in all directions. It'd be nice if there was a guest book that recommended places to go to, and even go to nearby restaurants that give a discount.

Very helpful staff!! On way home Sun 6/7, we stored our luggage at the hotel while we went to a show. The Tony Awards were being held this date at Radio City Music Hall, directly across the street from the hotel. Getting back to the hotel location was challenging due to street shutdowns but once we got there, Jessie went out of his way to assist us. He called a cab to get us to the airport and the driver reached us directly, waited for us at 5th Ave and got us to the airport in time to make our flight. Great location and great staff!! Totally worth the stay!
- 4/5
Location is great! Check-in was quick and easy, and the staff are warm and cheerful (a lovely change of scene as I'd spent the previous week at the Millennium Hilton, and they could learn a thing or five about hospitality and customer service). The free washer and dryer was a lifesaver! Room was comfy and clean. If you're wondering if it's possible to drag a mid-sized suitcase on foot to the LIRR street-level entrance on 48th St (and onwards to JFK airport), the answer is yes. I really could've used a pair of room slippers (but maybe this is not a NYC or US thing) as the floor is carpeted and didn't want to track my dirty/wet shoes in the room.

Staff was amazing, made changes easily and with a very friendly vibe. We needed a room on short notice for our son. Done, with room next door. Then, he needed an additional night’s stay. Done. Also, the free washer dryer stands out, and the “living room” on the second floor is a great time out.
- 5/5
Great location and comfortable rooms. Staff could not be any more helpful, really pleased we’ve found this hotel for an unforgettable stay! Nothing!!
- 4.5/5
Rooms are very quiet and thoughtfully designed to get the best use out of the space. We stayed on two occasions, each time in a room facing the street, and we experienced minimal street noise. Very quiet overall. The free laundry is awesome. Staff were happy to work around our odd schedules (napping baby) to service the room and always did an excellent job. Some furniture was a bit worn as were the rugs in a few places (oddly incongruent with the rest of the room which seemed very up to date, especially the nice bathrooms).
- 5/5
Simply perfect! The staff is professional, incredibly kind, and always helpful. The room was excellent. We stayed on the top floor, and our room faced the inner courtyard, making it exceptionally quiet — which was very important to us. Complimentary water and coffee are provided in the rooms. The hotel’s location is fantastic, right next to Rockefeller Center. Times Square and Central Park are only about a 15-minute walk away. This was the first trip to New York of our lives, and the hotel made all the many wonderful experiences even more memorable. Thank you for everything — we truly hope we can return one day. We truly cannot think of a single negative thing to mention about our stay. Everything exceeded our expectations.

There aren’t amenities (restaurants, bars) at this hotel but we wanted good size room, quality linens, and great location. For us this boutique hotel was perfect. Everything we wanted right outside. Very walkable to Rockefeller across the street, 5th Avenue shopping around the corner, central park and the Plaza hotel very near. The staff was able to arrange transportation, check in/out, luggage storage. I do not hesitate recommending.

We came to the city for my son’s 12th birthday. The staff is fantastic and very friendly. The location can’t be beat. The hotel is 2 blocks from the MOMA, Nintendo store is very close, Lego store is a 1/2 block away, Saks is a block away, walking distance to Central Park, across the street from Rockefeller Center, and the subway at Rockefeller will get you anywhere you need to go. Our rooms were very quiet, clean, and the beds were comfortable. The hotel is dog friendly and our Boston Terrier had a great time. They have water stations on every floor and provide water bottles! Amazing!! The 2nd floor lounge has a fab coffee maker where you can make yourself free espresso, lattes, cappuccinos, and americanos. It’s awesome! Room furniture and carpet were a little dated but it seriously wasn’t an issue. Fire alarm went off at 8am. Ugh. But it was a non-issue.

Not fancy, but all good and excellent location within walking distance of MOMA, Central Park, subway, and Broadway plays. Would definitely stay here on a future visit.

A room with a view, for $1,200. No mini fridge nor microwaves in the rooms. You're going to spend PLENTY of money eating out in New York, and all of your food will go bad overnight with no refrigeration. At this price, that should just be included. Balconies no smoking. Beautiful location tho if you are visiting NYC!!! A jewel indeed, with areas to improve!

Unbeatable location, a stone's throw from 5th Avenue, St. Patrick's cathedral, and Rockefeller Center rooms are on the smaller side, but then again, so are many other hotel rooms in New York City, so I wouldn't necessarily list that as a negative. However, the room safe was super small - it has to at least fit a standard-sized laptop, which this one did not.

The rooms and shower were a little small but they served us well for what we were doing. We spent most of our time in the city and came back to change and sleep. The hotel had free water stations with reusable bottles, a laundry room with complementary detergent, and a decent sized business center/lounge area.

Erik and Jason at the front desk were very good and polite. They attempted to solve my issue and asked what would satisfy me. I told them one night compensation for lost time. They had to email the manager because she wasn't taking calls. They understood my frustration and the stress it caused for me. They were very professional, but the incident was out of their hands. My safety, security and privacy were compromised at The Jewel Hotel. I placed the blue privacy tag on my room door the moment I arrived to my room after checking in. I never take the sign off the door because I do NOT allow anyone in my hotel room when I am traveling. This is a rule I always follow for security reasons. On day two upon entering my room, I noticed my privacy had been breached. A cup of brewed coffee was on the desk and my personal unopened bottle of water that I purchased next door at Walgreens had been opened. I immediately reported the incident to the front desk. The front desk said a lady called and reported a coffee maker was not working and gave my room number. No one bothered to check or verify the room calling for service. When the employee arrived at my room, he should have questioned the privacy/security tag on the door and verified he had the right room. He entered my room violating the privacy/security protocol. When I asked to speak to a manager, she would not take my call or return my call or talk to me. Supposedly she was on zoom all day, and on Monday when I attempted to reach her again, she was in meetings all day. I emailed guest services, and they forwarded my email to her, and she has not replied. She credited my account $30 without even speaking to me regarding a privacy security violation. It took me several hours to look through all my items because I had everything unpacked. I tried to find another hotel since I did not feel safe knowing a male can enter a locked room with a privacy tag on the door. It took several hours away from my vacation time away. I then asked for housekeeping to come up and change all linens because I wasn't sure what took place in my room. I waited in the room for housekeeping. I asked for one night's compensation for my loss of time, anxiety and discomfort regarding the situation. The manager still has not replied to the email. This is unacceptable!

The hotel was cute and convenient! Right down the block from Radio City. Hotel staff was excellent as well
- 4/5
Location is perfect! Walking to Central Park, museums, churches and NYC library. Hotel staff were perfect, always greeting us when we returned and inquiring whether we needed anything. The only issue I had was on the first night I spilled some coffee on my sheets and while it dried it was obvious on the flat sheet. The sheets were never changed so I slept on those sheets each night. Expected more. One other thing was construction being done next door and jackhammers started at 830 a.m. and ended at 5 pm. Not hotels fault but I would compensate my customers for the inconvenience.
- 5/5
Location was perfect for our purpose.
- 4.5/5
Location is central for walking to a lot of the big attractions including Central Park and Broadway shows. The coffee and water set up was great, filtered water available on all floors and a coffee machine for good coffee any time of day. A bit dusty in the room on the walls and areas not regularly cleaned like lampshades etc.
- 5/5
Love this hotel, this was my second stay here. Metros nearby, good coffee nearby, location is excellent for walking most places. I love the 2nd floor coffee and tea station, and made good use of the free water bottles/cold filtered water filling stations. They also have, by far, the most comfortable beds I've slept on in a hotel. Staff was very helpful, separated our beds so we could have two twins rather than one large bed, held our luggage for us, and answered all of our questions. The only thing I would change is the bathroom door - it has a glass panel - you can't see inside, but the light is visible to those trying to sleep.
- 5/5
Great room, great location, great staff!
- 5/5
Location, room size and quiet. Bed was super comfy. No real lobby area. Room decor/furniture a bit dated. Huge linen carts in the elevator area almost my entire stay.

Perfect location for my meeting.

24/7 small but equipped gym. Purified water coolers on each floor. The location is pretty nice. Staff is very helpful and pleasant. The mattress was a disaster. It's probably the most uncomfortable bed I have ever encountered in a hotel. It was completely worn out.
- 3/5
Location is perfect if you are doing the tourist thing. Staff was wonderful and they were very courteous holding luggage till I room was ready. Only complaint is I booked a “Deluxe Suite that is recently renovated with a city view”. Exactly what the room booking said and my room was directly over about 20 HVaC units looking at that and a wall. Not really a city view and recently updated is not the right word. It might have been updated at some point but it wasn’t recent unless we just got a dated room cause the outlet by the bed didn’t work, bathroom door was so hard to open I as a six foot man had to use some serious effort to move it, the tv would barely work cable only and casting didn’t work and it looked more like a ten year old renovations then anything. I’d stay here again but just be wary of what you might get in the actual room and probably try and find it on a deal.
- 4.5/5

Its location was exceptional. Finding a room withe 2 beds and two baths was a total win and it was reasonably priced. Front desk staff were friendly and helpful. We especially appreciated the water available on every floor. The room felt worn. Nothing was wrong with anything and everything was clean, it just didn’t feel fresh. This is probably extremely nit-picky, but a different color temperature on the light bulbs would help a lot.
- 5/5
Very conveniently located in upper Midtown, just blocks from almost everything of interest. Easy walking distance to several subway lines. Very clean, modern and quiet. Much less expensive than nearby chain hotels. I’m hard pressed to find a single negative.

Great value. Super clean with an amazing locaton
- 3/5
Even though I booked a more expensive Superior room, it was to small and uncomfortable. Among other things, on side of the bed was flush against a wall making it difficult to get in and out of bed.
- 5/5
Clean room, central location, nice view.
- 5/5
The room clean. The staff was amazing and so helpful
- 5/5
location, staffs,coffee machine none
- 5/5
Great staff, very quiet room, esp for NYC
- 5/5
We had a kitchen which was really convenient. Bring your own mugs though if you don't like paper cups. Room was clean, quiet and comfortable.
- 5/5
Really friendly helpful staff and a great coffee machine and water fill station. I was so pleased with everything, it made my first visit to New York a very positive one.
- 5/5
Perfect choice for NYC trip!
- 5/5
Clean , attentive staff
- 5/5
Amazing staff, great location!
- 4/5
Very enjoyable stay, The only issue that I had with the Hotel was that the room carpet was old and seemed a bit dirty from the foot traffic that it’s had over time, also the sofa that was in our room was old and needs to be replaced. Consider doing minimum upgrades to attract more visitors. On a positive note the room was larger than some rooms that I’ve stayed in in NYC. Same with the bathroom. Large enough for comfort.
- 5/5
the room was very nice and comfortable. staff at front desk very helpful
- 4/5
I would love if there were more food or basic food to buy. Like yogurt and stuff.
- 5/5
Very charming, clean, good location, friendly staff. Would stay here again.
- 5/5
Clean, excellent staff, good soap, Nespresso coffee machine and at a great location
- 5/5
Great location- peloton bikes in fiitness room
- 5/5
Everything was great about our stay at The Jewel. Its location is great, staff is courteous, and rooms are clean. We were able to drop our bags off before check-in, as well as have them held before we left. I will definitely stay here again when I am back in NYC. Thanks for the wonderful experience!
- 5/5
Parking was the only minor inconvenience. The garage the hotel recommends was full. Other than that, it was a great experience!
- 5/5
In my previous reviews I LOVE THE JEWEL! Have always stayed there when traveling to NYC. Had a doctor appt who left Philadelphia. I told her how much I loved The Jewel. She has patients from Philadelphia that need to stay in NCY. Hoping she gives EVERYONE THE REFERRAL. So much to enjoy, location, customer service, fabulous Cappuchino machine on the 2nd floor, fitness center (small, but doable) on the 5th floor, and my recent stay she gave me #802. THIS IS MY ALL TIME FAVORITE WITH THE TWO WINDOWS, CORNER UNIT. All in all I'd love to stay forever at The Jewel! Thank you to everyone there.
- 5/5
Very pleasant stay. Quiet comfortable room with good coffee. Helpful staff.
- 5/5
Great location and clean hotel
- 5/5
room was clean and quiet the water station and coffee/tea bar added bonus
- 5/5
Very clean, room very cozy & nice size balcony
- 5/5
The bed is super comfortable, bathroom well equipped. The Jewel lives up to its name.
- 4.5/5
The people working at the front desk were absolutely wonderful. They gave me all the information I needed to make the most out of my stay. They helped me quickly when my daughter lost something. They were friendly and wonderful. There were three who I especially thought were fantastic but I only got one of their names (Sean). The other was a 5'4" brown haired woman and a bilingual (Spanish) man. The pillows and bed were incredibly comfortable. The view from our room was SO lovely. The rooms are small. We only had two people so it was fine but three would have been tight. The safe is places right where I wanted to put my luggage. I didn't love that.
- 5/5
Lovely hotel, great location!
- 4/5
Location was superb and rooms were very spatious for a family of 4. However, pictures were a little deceiving as the hotel and room were very outdated. Its very basic. Comfortable.
- 5/5
This place was amazing! The bed was comfy, the room itself was clean and the bathroom was a good size. Will definitely stay there again when we visit NYC!!
- 5/5
Great
- 5/5
We stayed for 2 nights. Very clean. I love the free drinking water at every floor and the lovely coffee at the 2nd floor. The wonderful gentleman that checked us in last Saturday around 2pm ish was so nice. It is also close to all attractions. Very safe and quiet area.
- 5/5
The staff were so pleasant and helpful. The location is great.
- 4/5
Nice location
- 5/5
The location near Rockefeller Plaza was centrally located.
- 5/5
I had a great stay. Comfortable, clean, not too loud. In my opinion it’s exactly what you need, and nothing extra, which makes it not too expensive. Great location, not too close to the noise of Times Square/Broadway.
- 5/5
Fantastic location and a good-sized room
- 4/5
Perfectly acceptable place to stay at a very affordable price. Unbelievable price for Manhattan and in safe, central location, steps from Times Square, Midtown East, Midtown West, and multiple subway lines. Well-appointed kitchenette and very convenient and quiet business area/work space/lounge.
- 3/5
Hotel room could use some updates.. the flooring was uneven and the room felt very tight. We were surprised there was not a small mini fridge in the room for the price paid. The shower pressure was very weak and only had a hand held shower head which was odd and it kept falling off the wall. The room was clean and the bed was comfortable with nice sheets and comforter. The staff was very friendly and kind and willing to help. Overall would not stay here again.
- 4/5
poor bathroom ventilation so our room was muggy a lot otherwise great property
- 5/5
Property exceeded expectations
- 5/5
Beautiful hotel will be staying there again
- 5/5
Easy check in and check out service. Glad check out was at noon!

- 5/5
This is our second stay at the Jewel and we will stay here whenever we’re in the City. Nice rooms, great amenities, friendly staff, exceptionally convenient location. Highly recommended.

- 5/5
NYC IS THE BEST
- 5/5
Very nice and central.
- 5/5
Very convenient spot across from Rockefeller Center, with many attractions that are walking distance or easily reached by subway. Room is compact, but doesn't feel cramped. Updated and well-equipped.
- 5/5
Incredible location and wonderful decor in the rooms, a nice break from the cookie cutter chain Hotels. Location next to Rockefeller Center and St. Patrick’s Cathedral on fifth Avenue cannot be beat.
- 5/5
Very good value for price. Great location!!
- 4/5
Rockefeller and next door to the American Girl doll store. Friendly and helpful staff at check in and check out. Only complaint was the very soft/mushy bed, but everything else was perfectly lovely. I would recommend this place absolutely.
- 5/5
Extrodenery staff. They've helped.... accept packages. Airline wrong luggage, fell/swollen black eye, extend reservation at last min due to illness.... very accomendating and discrete. Rooms are a good size.2 sub stops near, pharmacy 1/2 blk. 5 min theater district /time sq. Delis, resturants, groceries.. .everywhere! Its new york! this is 1 of my favorite properties as an international 70 yr solo female traveler. Good pricing too.
- 4/5
Yes and the hotel was average
- 5/5
Great location, very clean and comfortable. The staff was also very nice and helpful. I recommend!
- 5/5
The exceptionally convenient location of The Jewel Hotel is only the second best thing about it. The authentically welcoming and helpful staff is what makes it a true “jewel”. Shout-out to Leslie, Sean, Erick and Krystal at the front desk and the cleaning staff who did everything to make my stay comfortable — even during the blizzard. I appreciate you!
- 5/5

- 5/5
Really nice front desk staff
- 4/5
Room was clean. Did not care for the self check in/check out at a tablet. Hotel shows its age, but has a great location.
- 5/5
I also liked how checkin and check out are fairly easy.
- 5/5
This hotel is indeed a jewel - so well placed, modern, clean and friendly. The staff were great - helpful and not intrusive.
- 3/5
Adhere to what is posted on website. A queen bed should not be two beds.
- 5/5
This place is the best. GREAT location. Easy to get anywhere. Clean, Staff is great. Nice community room with great coffee machine. Free bottled water for fill ups. Just great all around. Stayed here 5 times and always consistently good.

- 5/5
Great spot. Great staff, super-convenient
- 5/5
This was a fun little stay for a night.
- 5/5
Cleanliness was top notch - the rooms were spotless and fresh, and the amenities were great. The 24/7 lounge floor with specialty coffees and teas, the gym and even the laundry room - and of course the convenient location, at Rockefeller Plaza - couldn’t ask for more! We were so happy at The Jewel that we extended our stay another 2 days and I look forward to coming back!
- 5/5
Comfort. Ease. No fuss.
- 4/5
Clean rooms
- 4/5
Spotless rooms but old furniture

- 5/5
Stayed two nights and will definitely be back!
- 5/5
Excellent location. Nice staff. Small rooms but clean, friendly and location is great.
- 5/5
Clean room, nice bed.
- 5/5
This isn’t the fanciest hotel, but so many other details make this a 10/10 stars! The people who work there are top notch, friendly and helpful (easy check in/out). The rooms/linens/beds were super clean and comfortable. Bring your own water bottle (small plastic bottles are also available), there is a chilled, filtered water station on every floor. The 2nd floor has a coffee/tea station (also a nespresso in each room). If you are playing tourist, the location could NOT be better!
- 5/5
Amazing location. Exceptional Service. When room is as not ready when promised, they have us a free bottle of wine.
- 5/5
Great location near Times Square. We visited during the Christmas holiday, and it was the perfect place to stay—just steps away from Rockefeller Center. We got a perfect view of the city, which made our stay even more special. The hotel is clean and beautiful, with excellent customer service. We also loved that dogs are allowed at no extra cost. We truly found a gem in the heart of Times Square and will definitely book this hotel again in the future. ✨🏙️🐾
- 4/5
Nice place. Centrally located. Do not accept room on second floor near lounge area. You’ll be woken up at night.
- 5/5
Great place to stay
- 4/5
Very clean room. Great location. Friendly staff.
- 5/5
This was our 2nd time at the Jewel and there will definitely be a 3rd. The staff are the best! Location is perfect!
- 5/5
Great location, clean, excellent service.
- 5/5
Friendly staff, easy, check-in process, clean room, rooms, and great location!
- 4/5
Loved the location. Hotel was clean and staff was nice. Outside noice can be heard very loud inside hotel room.
- 5/5
Room was great, staff was very helpful, location is wonderful for an American Girl experience! The lounge was a great perk for before our room was ready and then while waiting for a taxi to head back to the airport hours after we checked out but they held our bags. I was very happy with the choice as a first time New York City tourist.
- 5/5
They allowed us to check in early. Very clean and excellent location. Will stay here again. The staff was super friendly. Complimentary water at the end of the hallway was icing on the cake.
- 5/5
We love this place!!!
- 5/5
Fine
- 2/5
The room and hotel need updating and a refresh. Overall clean and staff is lovely but the carpet needs to be replaced ASAP.
- 5/5
All great..need soft drink machine
- 5/5
Convenient location, room is clean and neat
- 5/5
Room was spotless and staff was attentive.
- 5/5
Clean, friendly staff, convenient location and a comfortable stay during the fun but somewhat chaotic holiday season! Highly recommend, will definitely return.
- 5/5
Staff were wonderful, room was clean, and the location was unmatched - steps away from Rockefeller Center and all of the holiday magic!
- 5/5
We always like our stay in your hotel
- 1/5
Stuff in the room from previous people. Room was not what we paid for. The picture for our room showed 1 large window and one patio door. We got 1 small window. No patio door.
- 5/5
The location cannot be beat for NYC at Christmas time! Also, the staff are so nice and accommodating, and allowed my daughter and I to use the facilities and store luggage before and after checkout with no hassle. On a very cold day, this was such a nice touch.
- 2/5
I can deal with the mistake and appreciate the upgrade, but they never finished making it right.
- 5/5
Clean room
- 5/5
Yes yes
- 2/5
Huge difference from last year. Place wasn't as clean (a lot of dust in room, unwiped desk & counters) just dirty for a hotel of that cost. What looked like reused or leftover Kleenex in the box (crumpled). Headboard was inexplicably dirty with stains!! Just a dirty dirty room!! Last year we were greeted with a personal note and treats for our anniversary, and this year nothing! We will not be returning.
- 5/5
Amazing location! Also, the amenities such as the espresso machine or the refillable water bottles were very nice touches! I had read that some people said the room sizes were small but I found them to be quite sizable for a midtown hotel and comfortable overall (our party had both standard and terrace rooms). The front of house was so nice and very helpful. Would stay here again in a second!!
- 5/5
The hotel was great ! Would definitely recommend this place to my friends and family!
- 5/5
Excellent stay.
- 5/5
Excellent location, friendly staff, and comfortable room. Really enjoyed our trip!
- 5/5
Cleanliness and location
- 5/5
Staff was extremely serviceable
- 5/5
The staff is incredible, really impressed with how nice they all were.
- 5/5
The rooms were perfect, the location is amazing and the staff were so friendly and helpful. Just a great stay for our family, thanks so much and happy holidays!
- 1/5
Awful. Do not trust the ratings for this hotel.
- 5/5
Great location, clean room, very good service.
- 5/5
Location, condition of the hotel and staff all added to a near perfect stay!
- 4/5
Room was very clean. Very basic amenities. Perfect location. Cappuccino any time of day on 2nd floor is a good perk.
- 3/5
The “hotel” also provides complimentary use of their single, wash tower for laundry. However, unless you stand guard while the load is being washed/dried, beware of other guests taking out your laundry while in use to jump ahead of line. The weather was in our favor, albeit frigid and windy, until our last day when the rain arrived. Assuming there would be umbrellas to utilize, like most hotels provide, that was not the case at this property. They sold umbrellas for $15 each. The location of the hotel is quite central and is walking distance to several, iconic landmarks. The condition is meh and could use an update. The rooms are average in size and acceptably clean, but again, zero to no amenities other than unlimited, refillable bottled water. The lighting in our room was pretty dim, even during the day with the curtains drawn in the small window. We chose this hotel because of our little, super senior fur babies and the need for a kitchenette due to their special diet and meds that need refrigeration. Unfortunately, this was a miss for us
- 4/5
Great location, friendly staff who offer great service
- 5/5
Staff was very courteous and helpful
- 5/5
Clean room, friendly staff, great location
- 5/5
Awesome

- 5/5
It was great
- 5/5
We had the best mattress I've ever experienced in a hotel. Lovely customer service. Would definitely book it again. Its a great location as well!
- 5/5
My home away from home! The absolute best and friendliest staff. Look forward to my stay every time. A big thanks as always!
- 5/5
Such a gorgeous stay! Amazing amenities such as free bottled water, a living room with varieties of good coffee, etc. Location was great, right next to 5th avenue and next to good food spots. This is not your average hotel as you step into it, but you’ll soon realize it’s much better than any other. Great value for the price. Overall, we enjoyed it and would stay again!!!!!
- 5/5
All good!
- 4/5
amenities and staff
- 5/5
Everything was perfect
- 5/5
The room and the staff are excellent.
- 4/5
Still my favorite hotel but the water pressure this time was almost non existent. Stayed for two night and didn’t improve. I didn’t want to complain as I love this hotel but the shower was not great
- 4/5
loved being across from radio city.
- 5/5
The Jewel is a Must Stay location in NYC. It is close to all the locations that we planned for, and I was able to get the Terrace Room I requested for a view of Radio City Music Hall. All the staff was very friendly and Derick made sure all our needs were taken care of. Our room(1110) was excellent and we will definately be returning to The Jewel.
- 5/5
Great location. Friendly staff. Clean room. Comfy bed. I’m
- 5/5
Cleanliness in both room and common areas. Quiet snd convenient. Friendly staff.
- 5/5

- 5/5
Each stay at the Jewel gets better and better!
- 5/5
Nice hotel in nice area
- 5/5
Our stay was excellent-the staff is exceptional and very attentive and friendly. The location simply cannot be beat. Steps from Rockefeller Plaza, short walk to Central Park and a myriad of shopping and dining options. I highly recommend this lovely hotel!
- 5/5
Hotel right in the thick of everything but quiet, safe, clean, and kind welcoming staff
- 5/5
Our stay was excellent!! The room was clean and the staff was very kind! The location was so convenient and I would stay here again!
- 4/5
Nice hotel in great location. The bed was super comfy and the view was super nice. A little pricey given the minimal amenities. but overall a nice place for a weekend.
- 5/5

- 5/5
Staff was friendly and helpful. Hotel well located and quiet
- 4/5
Staff very helpful, friendly, accessible. Location great. Five stars for staff and location.
- 5/5
Great location, nice staff, lovely room.
- 5/5
Great room atmosphere and location
- 5/5
Everything stood out but what I felt was the best is that the manager was there off of her shift and she went out of her way to give us a very warm welcome. The entire staff was wonderful. This hotel is nice and quaint and quiet and I will definitely be back.
- 5/5
Clean basic room, staff was friendly and helpful! Great location!
- 1/5
The decor was old. I felt like I was staying in an old Best Western or something. It could be noisy. The shower had hair in it. The whole place needs to be remodeled. The A/C barely worked so it was hot in there while sleeping. It’s way over priced for the accommodations you get. Won’t stay there again.
- 5/5
The rooms are compact and small, but charming. It was quiet and centrally located across from Rockefeller Center.
- 4/5
Location is geat, staff was great, but for the money value i would expect more ,like breakfest, bigger room
- 5/5
Yes
- 5/5
Location staff and terrace
- 5/5
We loved our stay at the Jewel. They have purified water and reusable water bottles on every floor which was really nice! There is also a small lobby area with free coffee and tea, desk space, a printer, and a little fireplace. The room was clean had plenty of space for 2 of us. We would definitely go back again!
- 5/5
Very close to my job and restaurants
- 5/5
Very modern boutique hotel in best location in NYC
- 5/5
great hotel and experience! :)
- 5/5
.
- 4/5
Stayed for two nights. Pleasant. Quieter than I thought it would be considering all the traffic outside.however there was noise from other rooms. Not terrible though. Hallways are a bit narrrow and dark. Rooms are a decent size with dingy carpeting. And not much natural light especially if your room is located in the back of the building which faces another building. Assuming higher floors are brighter. I moved from back to front which was a little better. underwhelming lobby and no on site dining. Coffee room/business area was nice open 24 hrs. Filtered water stations in hallways was great amenity. Clean and updated bathrooms good water pressure. Location right across from Rockefeller Plaza with restaurants, ice rink, touristy and lively.
- 5/5
Can't wait to come back!
- 5/5
Great location
- 1/5

- 5/5
GOOD
- 5/5
Location! Location! A Jewel for convenience.
- 1/5
Very unhelpful staff with no understanding of travelers challenges due to flight delay . I have stayed before this hotel but this time experience was awful. Plenty of other nice hotel nearby
- 5/5
A nice little boutique hotel, convenient to everything we wanted to do. Within walking distance of Broadway theaters, museums, and the park. We had a view of Radio City Music Hall out of one window, and Rockefeller Center out of the other!
- 5/5
Nice size rooms and comfortable bedding
- 5/5
Excellent as ever
- 5/5
👍
- 5/5
I requested for a fridge and microwave and i was very fortunate to have both of them in my room.
- 5/5
Room was clean, quiet. Loved the black out curtains
- 5/5
I loved this hotel, quiet, good location and nice bed/room. Only disappointment was no fridge in the hotel (and I don’t think any ice, but probably could’ve asked for it)
- 5/5
Thank you :)
- 4/5
The rooms are adequate. The staff is very helpful. The hotel is a little pricey, but the location is excellent
- 5/5
Beautiful hotel. Very helpful and friendly staff. Walking distance to a lot of tourist places and restaurants. Would stay there again
- 5/5
The Jewel hotel was in a perfect location for exploring New York and for travelling to the various experiences in the City. Very clean, friendly staff and easy check in / check out process.
- 5/5
Only con was my room was near the gym and ice machine and the sound of that door opening and closing was allll night
- 5/5
This location is everything, loved the room and the proximity to all the landmarks. Definitely worth every penny
- 5/5
Wonderful property - close to everything! Would rebook again
- 5/5
The hotel is in a convenient location, but it needs a little updating. The staff is great. I would rate it an 8.7, not the 9.2 listed on the site.

Great little hotel. Friendly staff, coffee in the morning, and a block and a half from the subway. Walking distance to Rockefeller Center. Will stay here again.
- 4/5
Right next to Rockefeller Center and great place to stay in the center of most everything with subway and Times Square so close! Also staff were lovely!
- 5/5
Amazing location down town and super affordable!!
- 5/5
Staff was very welcoming and the room was clean. This hotel is walkable distance from main attractions in NY. Would highly recommend staying here!
- 5/5
Friendly staff, the hotel is conveniently located to lots of places to visit and places to eat
- 3/5
Rooms are oddly configured - longish hallway from bed to bathroom.
- 5/5
Location is great
- 4/5
friendly staff great location property needs updating
- 4/5
Small room
- 5/5
This is our second time staying at The Jewel. Clean rooms, friendly and helpful staff, wonderful amenities (coffee on 2nd floor and purified water and bottles on every floor). Conveniently located to 5th Ave, Rockefeller Center, and theater district.
- 4/5
Tiny Room Space, difficult to get around the bed, perhaps a different arrangement in the room would help, No instructions on how to use the HVAC, Crazy toilet paper access
- 5/5
Fabulous hotel and location

Hotel is in the heart of Rockefeller Plaza, few blocks from Central Park & many other sites. Staff is super helpful & nice. Room was clean but hallways never seemed to get vacuumed. Lights from Rockefeller Center will keep you up & room was warm regardless of the thermostat setting. It’s NYC so rooms are small but you’re not in it much.
