Reviews
The hotel is generally well-liked for its friendly and accommodating staff, comfortable beds, and great location in Williamsburg. However, many guests find the rooms to be too small and some have issues with noise.

Location can't be beat though. I'd stay here again only if it's offseason and cheaper.

Amazing place to stay - would definitely stay again! Great food, amazing decor, perfect location PLUS, great food and drink spots nearby, too. Check-in staff was super nice. Rooms were small (of course) but had everything we needed. The only frustration was that the shower water leaked out onto the bathroom floor, but was a minor inconvenience compared to all the other great things!

I’ll definitely stay here again. It’s a great location. The property is clean, the staff very helpful, and the food options are great.

Incredible location walking distance to some great spots easy to jump on subway , hotel is beautiful and rooftop bar is gorgeous. Rooms are just on the smaller side for what you pay for but that’s not uncommon for NYC

Great location in Williamsburg. Room was more spacious than expected [still small, but good for NYC] and had a great Manhattan view. We were in a room on the 3rd floor, but it was quiet in the evenings with no disturbance from street level noise. There isn't a gym and the staff aren't particularly friendly but neither impacted our stay

The beds and pillows were extremely comfortable! In a great area and close to train station! May be my new favorite place to stay while in NYC!

Super awesome boutique hotel. Everything was clean and inviting. The room was small but had a really cool vibe. The lobby area had a coffee shop, bar and restaurant always filled with people but never packed. Would definitely stay here again!

Observations - the hotel has a pervasive musty smell. The handle for the shower is almost impossible to turn. Other than that - GREAT STAY!

the location was great.the design was great, the bar area was very nice the restaurant also on the roof was great. some of the staff were not very happy, both at reception and at the cafe. you need to have some healthy alternatives to choose from.

Familiar Hoxton branding. Cool decor. Well laid out room. Great cocktails. Hotel lounge so full of non resident drop ins that there was often no room to sit. Very limited dietary information. Very few non diary dishes and not flexibility to switch ingredients in and out. Very poor room service involving a no show once where they said they had tried to call me three times to tell me and left a message. No one had called my mobile or the room and there was no message. No apology just an impatient question when I complained whether I wanted something else. The room service app was not functioning.

Although the place is very well located, has beautiful facilities, and is truly a lovely property, I had several issues during my stay that made the experience disappointing. I stayed in room 417, and unfortunately, there were cockroaches, the bathroom was not properly cleaned, and the shower area was especially unpleasant. The bathroom infrastructure also seemed damaged, so the bathroom would flood completely after using the shower. Another issue was the iron. I was attending an event and needed to iron my clothes, but the iron in the room was not working. These details definitely affected my overall experience and left me feeling dissatisfied. That said, I would consider coming back because I genuinely liked the place in many ways. However, the cleanliness needs to improve significantly and be much more detailed, because in this case, it was really not acceptable. Cool hotel, nicely curated, location in a nice neighbourhood with good restaurants. Our room was very small , though had a fantastic view, we had to live out of our cases as little space to put clothes, one drawer under the bed, another one with the safe in. Staff were nice and helpful with few issues we had. The 2 restaurants are good, esp the roof top one. The only other thing worth mentioning is the seating area around the bar and cafe was always full of people on laptops so we couldn’t always find a seat when using the cafe.
- 4.5/5
-Friendly staff -Cosy lobby area -Great view of Manhattan -Comfy, large bed The rooms are small so not much space to store large cases for a longer stay.
- 5/5
Very small room, but the common spaces were great. Good food & coffee!
- 4/5
The rooms are small, no place to store clothes, the rug in the room was a bit dingy. The hotel cafe had a nice service. The rooftop restaurant was very nice-excellent food. The lobby could use more space, especially since the dining area was not busy. Nice place. The ferry was a fast way to get to Manhattan.
- 3/5
I would have expected a cleaner facility. And little things like a garbage can in the room that maybe covered but is difficult to use play into this review. Dirty shower, dirty corners and baseboards. Housekeeping missed doing some cleaning of floors, bathrooms, dishes and incomplete restocking. Level of service just wasn't in alignment with price paid.

The Hoxton has a very cool vibe and is in a nice area. The front desk staff barely looked up when you walk by and you felt like you were interrupting their screen time when you asked a question. The hotel coffee shop and bar are nice but seating is hard to come by for guests because there are so many locals using their free WiFi and water. Literally was full all the time. Our room was very small. We could only have one suitcase open at a time. We made it work. Overall I give it an “okay” will probably look for another hotel next time.

Have stayed here on a few occasions and always enjoyed it. Best location to price ratio available for NYC. Could do with a bit of a freshen up in areas though, as it is 7 years old now.

Room not ready at 5pm. Told to wait but then given room with no a/c but $100 credit as recompense. Shower floods. Only two medium and two small towels for two guests. Got more but feel more/larger should be standard.

the location and the bed After staying at this hotel for 18 days and paying a hefty bill, it’s disappointing to leave with such a negative final impression. On our last night, we simply wanted to go up to the rooftop for a few minutes to see the Williamsburg view. We were denied access due to it being “too crowded” and because we didn’t have a reservation. While those may be standard policies, the real issue is the lack of flexibility and consideration shown to long-term hotel guests on their last evening. After nearly three weeks as paying guests—respecting the rules we were treated no differently than walk-in visitors, with no attempt to accommodate even a brief visit. That speaks volumes about how little guest experience seems to matter. If rooftop access is restricted, this should be clearly communicated from the beginning. More importantly, hotel guests should be given some level of priority or at least a degree of understanding. We had hoped to end our stay on a positive note, despite having to sit at the stairs for most of our morning coffee but instead left with frustration and disappointment. For anyone considering a longer stay: being a guest here does not necessarily mean you’ll have access to amenities, not even a few reserved seats in the lobby for hotel guests and don’t expect flexibility or guest-oriented service in any matter. Unfortunately, our lasting impression is low empathy, and poor guest relations.

The location was excellent. We loved the bar area (loved the Saturday night band too) and the rooftop. It’s a beautiful place- staff: a long haired guy (dark hair) who worked during the day was just brilliant, as was his colleague, who spoke for ages to my 14 year old about comics and NYC generally! The rooms were lovely- we loved our view! The rooms were small (I know it’s NYC and can’t be helped, but we needed more surfaces to lay stuff down and it would’ve been great if our suitcases had fit under the bed)! One long pink haired lady (receptionist)was quite dismissive of us but the rest were just lovely.

So welcoming to my dog. Great location. The lobby is crazy busy. So didn’t really get to enjoy that space.

The space was small, but to be expected for the area. There were dustballs on the floor alongside the walls, and allergies were a bit high, but otherwise, great location and friendly staff. Love the free water refill station which is located on each floor.

Very pretty room and bathroom, and lost of attentive details, like the neighborhood guide and breakfast bag. Bed was extremely comfortable, and I enjoyed the view of Manhattan and the fact I could crack the window open for some fresh air. The restaurant was incredible, and the staff really nice. Also I LOVE that there was no fragrance in the lobby and common spaces. The area felt safe, and the hotel is an easy walk from an accessible subway station (with elevator). The lobby was crowded all day and felt like one of those cafés where everyone is on their laptop. Not really a place to rest. The shower was not intuitive to use, changed temperature on its own and easily flooded the bathroom. Most of all I didn't find the room super functional: there were few surfaces to put my personal items, and nowhere to keep an open suitcase, just a drawer to stash it, but no drawers, only a bar with hangers.
- 5/5
It was a good stay
- 3.5/5
location was great, aesthetic and coziness of hotel was great We stayed 3 nights and managed to get a table in the bar/cafe only 1 of 3 mornings because every single table is taken up by someone on their laptop. This was very frustrating. The coffee shop would not let us take the ceramic mugs to our room, so we stood drinking our coffee because putting them in a paper cup "to go" was never the point. If this is to be a lounge for hotel guests, then it might be nice to (at a minimum) discourage sitting about with headphones and laptops at least on weekends. I also was in disbelief at the number of dogs sitting about the cafe/bar; can't say I was a fan.
- 4/5
Location. No place to visit with friends and family. Lobby was always busy. Noticed many were not staying at hotel and sat for hours on their computers. ☹️

I loved everything... rooms are small, but this IS NYC/Brooklyn. They are updated, modern, but cozy. VERY CLEAN!! Love the ambiance, several eating areas, sitting area and comfortable bar. The MENU has an Israeli flare and are delicious!!! Nothing.

The bathroom ammenities are almost non existing. The decor feels a little cheap. Overall bad hotel. Location is ok, Williamsburg used to be interesting, but now it's just so commercial and ugly.

Great location and the beds are comfortable. Bedroom was clean as was the bathroom. The shower definitely needed an update-tiles were missing and loose. Although an eye and foot sore-I look forward to visiting again soon

Nice hotel. Lobby is very lively with a bar, cafe, and restaurant. The cosy room is just that. It has a bed, a small area to walk around the bed, and a bathroom. Good for a nights stay. The staff at the front desk were not rude but didn’t put any effort to make you feel welcomed. Walls are thin so you can hear other guests in their rooms. Water pressure in the shower was good. Rooftop restaurant laserwolf was delicious.

Location was amazing! I booked a Brooklyn view then saw the manhattan view and asked if they could accommodate a change. Not only did they say yes it was super easy for me ( maybe not for them but I would never know) and they called and said they would move my bags to my new room. I love the sack breakfast but I didn't care for the apple every day. Room was clean and cozy. Lobby is always packed with people!! Hard to find a seat to have a quick breakfast in the lobby. I liked the self-fill water stations. All hotels should do this! Loved the water pressure in the shower but the Hoxton should consider low flow faucets to be more eco friendly.

Gorgeous NYC views, but the room was just too small to move around or even stow personal belongings. The thermostat was not working properly. Despite adjusting it by several degrees, the temperature only moved up one degree in several hours. The shower was also not working properly. It had a loose knob that seemed like it might fall off and made it difficult to adjust the water temperature. Also, no room to open the shower door with the bath mat there, so water all over the bathroom floor. I would definitely go back for the beautiful views, great neighborhood, and to try the hotel restaurant, but it’s not a super luxe property and the regular “cosy” rooms should be called “tiny.”

Location is perfect for Williamsburg. Staff is so friendly and helpful! Like really friendly and helpful. The lobby is dramatic and always buzzing with interesting people. The rooms are SMALL but very well appointed. A couple that’s used to having lots of space might want to opt for a larger room than their “cozy” size. Booking with Booking.com ended up being about $400 more than booking directly with hotel and they refused to honor their price match guarantee. Booking.com wouldn’t honor their price match guarantee.

Hotel is trendy, but cold and drafty in wintertime. Also, all of my belongings were taken from my room, which I later retrieved. I still do not understand why, as hotel is investigating. However, things are missing, notably my medications. So, not recommended due to this nightmare of an event.

Honestly, the whole place is a bit rundown. The staff is okay but lacking in general organizational communication skills. I extended our stay or thought I had only to find myself and my daughter locked out boarding the elevator to our room. We overheard women shouting and crying in a clear emergency in the hallway in the early hours of the morning. The hotel staff responded to what ever frightening situation was happening. Respectful of the privacy of our fellow guests and the staff, we made no mention. Yet, upon returning to our room two hours later than we had expected due to the engagement we came to attend lasting until 7:30p vs our anticipated 5:30p? The hotel manager called our room to complain to us that other guests were complaining to her that our dog had barked…in the middle of the day.

When I complained next day, the manager gave me a $25 credit for the night. I find this incredible considering I was paying ca. $600/night.

Your staff was great. Here are a few suggestions; use a higher quality tea in the lobby. Serve some red onions with tuna melt, it is a little unclear where to check in. it is kind of dark in the check in area too. Your lobby area is very popular, and for good reason. It is a cool place to hang out.

The water station in the hallway was also broken on our floor so it took forever to fill up the carafe provided in the room. And the shower design is horrible and flooded the bathroom. If you are a solo traveler, the room is probably fine size wise, but for two people and a baby it was cramped! We were also traveling with friends and the hotel lobby is not a lobby at all. It’s a restaurant and to be in the space you have to be purchasing something. There is nowhere for hotel guest to just exist outside of their room. For how expensive the hotel is, I expected more and I don’t expect we will come back. I think we could have gotten a similar priced hotel with a better setup overall.

Overall, I will not be staying here again. The combination of a staff member entering my room without knocking, poor communication from management, and the failure to action my allergy requests appropriately made this stay far below acceptable standards.

Amenities were fine, apart from the bathroom which smelt like sewage. But we had an incident of someone trying to get into the room, which was not followed up on that evening, or the following day, or after checkout - as requested. It was very unnerving situation, which was not met with the concern it should have warranted.

Overall we enjoyed our stay. Staff was friendly and helpful. We enjoyed dinner at Laser Wolf (rooftop restaurant). The only negative to the hotel experience is the hotel lobby. It is beautiful and we would have loved to hang out and enjoy a drink and the scenery, however teleworkers and squatters (free WiFi) have taken over the space. Every person there takes up a table for 2 or 4 people and the couches. Laptops on every table. These are not guests of the hotels. I’m surprised the hotel allows it. A majority didn’t even have a cup of coffee or drink from the bar.

Generally our stay was good. The biggest issue we found was the common area was filled with people who seemed to be working on their laptops for hours (seemingly not hotel guests) leaving no space for guests to enjoy a coffee or a bite to eat.

These rooms are TINY. Stayed with a friend in a room with 2 twin beds, and that's literally all there is enough space for is the two twin beds. That said, the beds were comfortable enough. But I got home to an unknown charge for $43 from Hoxton and the only thing I can think of is it must be from using the teabag style coffee they had in the room. $43 for garbage teabag coffee! You've got to be kidding. If you stay here, don't touch the coffee! Also, the walls are THIN. You can hear everything in the hallway and even what's going on next door. Just not a great experience for several hundred dollars a night in Brooklyn.

My mom and I had a lovely one night stay. Room was comfortable, pillows and bed were amazing, and the noise level was fairly quiet. We had a nice Manhattan skyline view from our window. We enjoyed eating a late lunch at K'far and a late dinner at the bar. Hummus and chicken schnitzel were to die for. Would definitely stay again!

The rooms are small which is often the case in NYC but have everything you need. A proper hairdryer, actually milk in the fridge and even a handy steamer for your clothes. It’s always great staying here. I’ve never had a bad experience. I would definitely recommend this hotel.
- 5/5
We had a nice stay at the Hoxton. Staff was friendly, the room was clean and cleverly set up for such a small room. My only complaint are the pillows- too mushy! But that’s personal preference. It was quiet in the room despite how close rooms are and despite the bustling bar and lobby area. Elevators were fast, check in and out was efficient and when we needed toothpaste or extra towels we were quickly helped out.
- 5/5
Small, but very functional, clean room with great views
- 3/5
The AC is always in 63 at the Lobby and the music loud without any space for you to work or even talk. I don't recommend.
- 4/5
The room was a bit on the “cozy“ side regarding size but it was well appointed. There is a mini fridge with some provided milk for your coffee, a water pot to make tea/coffee, Bluetooth speaker, nice TV, big bed, clothes, steamer, and hairdryer in the room. The K’far cafe was excellent and I hear good things about the rooftop restaurant (Laser Wolf). The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. The rooms are not spacious but still nice. I would definitely stay there again.
- 5/5
Music in cafe is a little too loud.
- 5/5
Great vibe, great views, cosy, lovely chilled staff, perfect location
- 5/5
Great hotel space with good vibes and nice rooms. Very walkable to multiple transit options or to just explore Williamsburg. Would absolutely stay here again—don’t forget to snag a reservation for Laser Wolf (the rooftop restaurant) in advance of your trip, too. Great views and food.
- 5/5
Fab hotel with the best hummus. Rooms are tiny but...its New York.
- 4/5
Extremely clean, beautifully appointed and well located. The resident restaurants were delicious (although very busy and open to the public, so reservations absolutely needed). The rooms were quite small, especially with luggage, so it was a bit cramped. Also, the lobby seating areas were mostly filled with locals on laptops rather than guests. Probably suitable for individuals or younger couples looking for a great location in Williamsburg and spotless rooms. Maybe slightly more style over substance in terms of amenities for hotel guests.
- 2/5
Before we got the room which messed up Our afternoon plans. The check in lady, while lovely, stated she would refund our first nights stay by way of compensation. That has not happened even though I’ve emailed twice to follow-up. I’ve stayed at this Hoxton and many others around the world and love the environment they typically create. I hope they can course correct.
- 4/5
A modern hotel, built within the past 10 years, the architecture and decorations are very nice; good vibe throughout the hotel. The location is excellent, convenient to interesting neighborhoods, shopping, restaurants, and public transportation, with nice views of Manhattan from the rooms on the west side of the hotel. Our major negative with the Hoxton is the size of the rooms. Most of the choices are described as 170 square feet (“cozy”), and while something like 10 by 17 (including bathroom and entry hall) might seem OK, the reality is something different. With a king size bed, the remaining space (area to walk, sit, stand or store luggage) was miniscule – four feet between the side of the bed and the window; three feet between the foot of the bed and a wall; around 18 inches along the side of the bed. Two big drawers under the bed offer good storage, but there is no useful furniture in the rooms – two tiny night tables, a small (useless) drop front desk, and a piece with a bar for about 8 or 10 hangers. The bathroom is similarly cramped. On the Hoxton website, you’ll see some attractive common areas, seating for the bar and a restaurant, but don’t count on being able to get a seat in any of these areas. Residents of the neighborhood seem to enjoy the free WiFi and air conditioning, and that didn’t leave much room for hotel guests. The price was OK, bumped up from what seemed to be the standard $249 weekday rate to $500 per night for the weekend.

- 4/5
Great hotel for a stay in Wburg. The rooms are quite small and there not many amenities. However it is a nicely designed comfortable hotel and a great place to have a stay. The lobby and restaurants are fantastic and beautifully designed.
- 5/5
I enjoyed my stay at the Hoxton. Great location, not too far away from the city and there were a lot of good restaurant options nearby.
- 4/5
Smooth check in, polite staff, comfy bed, cute decor just wish the room had walking and luggage room. Definitely recommend to book a bigger room if you can. Standard room can’t be more than 115sqft.
- 5/5
I was allowed an early check in without begging and they desk staff helped me out several times with warmth and professionalism. I'd definitely stay here again if I'm ever in Brooklyn
- 5/5
Amazing location for getting around and very clean rooms! Only issue was noise from the restaurant through my window late at night.

Thank you for the wonderful stay!
- 3/5
The hotel is in a prime location in Williamsburg near cool restaurants and bars which is great. The interior of the property is really cool although classic New York tiny rooms. Considering how expensive the hotel is the service was really poor overall, no making of beds, some staff were lovely and some were really rude and made us feel very unwelcome - you weren’t sure what to expect. It was quite disappointing for that reason. I wouldn’t stay there again.
- 3/5
Super loud. None of the rooms are sound proofing any way. You can even hear the elevator dinging up and down the building all day/night. Doors slamming constantly will wake you up.
- 5/5
The staff were very friendly and the restaurant service was very good. They serve one of the best flat whites in the NY area!
- 4/5
Entering off the street you have to walk down stairs or take an elevator down to reception. It feels like a giant coffee house with loud music I had to endure for nearly 2 hours until my room was ready (I was early). Staff just OK, some nice, others aloof. In the room, no closet, just a valet (an "upgraded room"). Probably won't return.
- 5/5

- 4/5
My kids and I love the vibes of the Hoxton, particularly the sitting area for coffee in the morning, or refreshments at night. The bedrooms are small and compact, however, a trade off is that the bathrooms at the Hoxton are larger than in other NYC hotels. We love the Hoxton.
- 2/5
No streaming service in room
- 4/5
The only disappointing part of our stay was that we could NEVER sit in the lounge as it was packed with laptops and non-guests at the hotel from early morning to almost after dinner time. There should be space for the hotel guests to enjoy
- 5/5
Location, staff and facilities are the key
- 5/5
Great location, super convenient to the train stop as well as a ton of restaurants in walking distance
- 2/5
Was initially given a room where the a/c was not working. It was 86 degrees in the room and they offered a fan to help cool it down. We asked to move room, the new room never cooled below 76 degrees. I would not recommend this hotel during summer months.
- 3/5
The front desk staff were super helpful and welcoming. The lounge area should be for guests to enjoy. We had a sandwich and wanted to sit and the staff talk us the we could not. That the lounge was a restaurant! Meanwhile people all taking up tables in your “restaurant” with laptops and Starbucks and NO MENU ITEMS. The room too small to eat in. Very inhospitable vibe in the place where your guests can relax, drink and eat what they want! What if we wanted to take break from Med Cuisine???
- 5/5
Excellent boutique hotel in the happening area of Williamsburg.
- 3/5
My hotel stay was fine overall, the room is small, facilities were clean, comfortable, and maintained. However, the experience felt a bit impersonal, with limited personal touches or engagement from the staff."

- 3/5
The room was clean and fine, but it was tiny especially for the price we paid. The service was not bad per se, the front desk staff did not seem to have hospitality experience. They were too… casual? For the price, I’d expect more.
- 4/5
We stayed for 2 nights which was fine for the Hoxton as we’re out all day- if you need space in your room- not the spot, rooms are very small

- 4/5
Greta location to explore Williamsburg area and short ferry to NYC. Great views and really clean. The lobby is lively and very very busy so not ideal if you need quiet working space but otherwise great! Really friendly and helpful team.
- 2/5
Water pipes in room kept banging all night.
- 5/5
A. The bar is *very* good, but everybody knows it's very good, so it's busy pretty much all the time. B. My room was near the elevator, and one of them chimed every time it stopped at the floor, and if there wasn't any other noise going on I could hear it. C. While it doesn't bother me, the rooms aren't very big. But overall, a great experience and I'd definitely recommend it to someone staying in the neighborhood.
- 5/5
Had we known we would have made reservations when we booked.
- 4/5
Very nice hotel and amazing location. Unfortunately our shower leaked all over the bathroom every day and we found the staff quite unfriendly but overall a good stay and would recommend the hotel.
- 5/5
Very cozy, hip hotel with lovely staff!
- 3/5
Tiny room even by NYC standards. Bumped into desk constantly. No place for suitcase. It stayed on the floor. No drawers. Silly kitsch decor items took up space on the tiny shelves. No counter space in bathroom. Toiletries fell in toilet. Shower mechanisms impossible to operate. Water was scorching or freezing
- 5/5
Loved the cafes in the lobby to work from, great coffee, nice rooms.
- 5/5
Great hotel!
- 5/5
very nice. very modern. very clean. friendly staff. great location

The Hoxton is a great hotel to enjoy Williamsburg, greater Brooklyn and Manhattan. Our room was small, but well organized, very quiet, with an extremely comfortable bed. The bathroom had nice fixtures and great hot water. The hotel has a lounge that is a good place to sit and have a coffee or cocktail. The Hoxton is close to many good restaurants and is 3 blocks from the L which takes you right into Manhattan. The staff is helpful and friendly. We really enjoyed our stay and would definitely stay there again.
- 5/5
Don’t be fooled by the entrance cute little artsy hotel. Good location to the Brooklyn bowl. in my opinion, a little too expensive for what you got.
- 5/5
Great hotel near the event we attended at the Brooklyn Winery. Restaurants were hopping and the whole place had a cool vibe. Rooms were clean and well appointed with unique decor. Beds were very comfortable.
- 5/5
I rated the comfort four stars because the bed was quite firm, but I personally prefer a softer mattress. Aside from that, my stay was enjoyable. The hotel also has a cafe, bar, and restaurant in an open-space concept. I tried some food at K’far, and it was delicious. Overall, I would recommend this hotel.
- 5/5
Lovely quaint hotel in the heart of Williamsburg. Great restaurants.
- 5/5
Only thing the shower floods the restroom, everything else was great. Love this hotel!
- 5/5
I loved my one night stay with you guys. The view and everything else were superb.
- 3/5
Love the area so much. The lobby and bar and restaurant are also great. Otherwise, the hotel rooms are average or below. Insufficiently cleaned, no room cleaning offered (you have to request it in advance), very thin towels that barely dry, and the shower leaked and smelled of mildew very badly. Would not stay again.
- 4/5
Overall great property and stay. Only bad part was that the hot water temperature fluctuates a lot and scalded me a few times. Expect better for this price.
- 5/5
Quite and safe
- 5/5
Had a great stay at this eco friendly hotel.
- 5/5
Absolutely loved our stay at the Hoxton. Room had stunning views. The team working there were so kind and welcoming and made us feel very special on our anniversary weekend. The food in the restaurant is also AMAZING!!! Really not to be missed. Area is perfect too!
- 2/5
The service at this hotel is terrible. Understaffed and crabby people. We will not return. Area is not interesting or anything to do around it.
- 5/5

- 5/5
Good experience so far! Close to everything
- 5/5
I love this hotel! The location was affordably priced, comfortable, convenient, and the room was quiet. The great view of Manhattan was a great bonus! The only drawback was the ground floor cafe. NYC coffee is usually excellent, but this was a disappointment, and the egg sandwich wasn't great. It was also frustrating to see all of the tables taken up by people huddled over their computers leaving no tables for someone like me who just wanted to sit and eat quickly before heading out. Next time, I'll just catch breakfast elsewhere.
- 5/5
My girlfriend and I stayed at the Williamsburg, Brooklyn Hoxton Hotel for one night on November, 10th to November 11th. 2024. This boutique hotel is located right in the middle of the action in Williamsburg, Brooklyn. You are step’s way from plenty of restaurants, shops and music venues. The staff were extremely accommodating and friendly. I loved the bed and layout of our Brooklyn view room. The bathroom had a nice vanity and the shower was amazing. The best thing about this hotel is the restaurant K’ Far and the lounge in the lobby. I highly recommend the smoked salmon Jerusalem bagel and the pistachio sticky bun for breakfast. I would not hesitate to stay here in the future.
- 5/5
It was a great experience
- 5/5
Only minor inconveniences: they ran out of the $5 breakfast bags with porridge but they refunded us and there are so many food options for room service and dining in the hotel it wasn’t a bother. Not all of the tv channels have signal or connect well. Easy fix and not worth downgrading the hotel for. All the staff are so lovely, especially considering they were working over their holiday breaks too.
- 5/5
Wonderful property. The room was small but perfect for a short stay with stunning views of Manhattan. Staff was friendly and welcoming. The bed was extremely comfortable, definitely a good night's rest.

When I shower the water leaked and spread out side the shower, totally wet
- 3/5
Nice location. Nice common areas. Room too small with no closet.
- 5/5
The only issue we had was with our shower. The water leaked terribly near the floor. We had to roll up multiple towels to use as a barrier to keep it from leaking all over the bathroom. We shared this with the front desk on our 2nd day. They brought us extra towels right away. I hope that they repair this before the next guest as it could cause a lot of damage if left untreated.
- 4/5
Had a nice stay at the Hoxton. My only complaint is that you have to request room service every day. Outside of that, the hotel is so cute. There are 3 restaurants, one being a rooftop. I love the coziness of the lobby. Makes you feel like you’re at home.
- 5/5
Loved the coffee shop and lobby area - there was plenty of seating and the chairs weee comfortable for Lou going or working.
- 3/5
I know this is New York, but, the room was very small and not well lit especially in the bathroom. We were attending a wedding and it wasn’t great lighting to put on your make-up. Secondly, the bathroom was not only tiny but not a hook on the wall to hang a damp towel. They did have small towel bars but a hook can be very useful especially when there is nowhere to put your toiletries. Water pressure was very good but our shower door leaked so the bathmat would get soaked. The Hoxton does not have daily housekeeping services but available upon request. I will say that the front desk was very well staffed and they were always very helpful and pleasant, ready to handle any request. The single deep drawer under the bed was difficult to keep organized, but I was grateful to have it since there wasn’t space to layout my suitcase on the floor. I will say the restaurant downstairs was excellent. We had one dinner and breakfast there and the little coffee kiosk was nice. They have a nice bar/common area but during the day, it was very difficult to find a place to sit. It was very crowded and I’m not sure if these were all hotel guests or just people who want a nice place to work on their laptops. And since the rooms are so tiny, it would have been nice to go down and get a cup of coffee and sit in this area, but it was usually hard to find a spot to sit for us. On a positive note we had a beautiful view of the Manhattan skyline and the neighborhood was very convenient and walkable.
