Could be a challenge with tons of luggage or if you need to spread out, but the quiet street and easy access to everything was ideal

The room was nice but tiny (don’t even think of doing any exercise) and the lighting isn’t good. The black out curtain is effective but there is no drape and you can easily see into other rooms and apartments so expose yourself or grope around in the dark. Not good choices.

The staff is freindly and the hotel is immaculate, there is a lot of care that goes into maintaining the rooms and common areas. Plus the location is perfect for midtown.

We enjoyed the terrific, central location, affordable room rate, and helpful staff with convenient lobby bar. As an aside, I had the best mocktail I’ve ever had at this hotel bar, and the fries weren’t bad, either! Daily housekeeping apparently is not the expectation but you can call for extra towels, toiletries, etc. Also, it was difficult to connect to the wi-fi; instructions from front desk staff unfortunately did not help. Overall, we would definitely stay again the next time we’re in New York!

My bed was very comfortable and exceeded my expectations. I was disappointed in the size of the Hotel room, and that the walls were very thin. I could hear the maid outside my door early in the morning doing her job. I was also disappointed when the staff which could not provide me with an umbrella to use for 40 minutes.

Great hotel. Soft beds. Hot water. Great location. Short walks to 5th avenue and Times Square. Several restaurants in close distance. German restaurant across the street is great. Staff was really sweet.

Our stay was perfect! The hotel is convenient to absolutely anything you may need, the rooms were comfortable, clean & smelled great when we 1st walked in! The icing on the cake was the staff! They were extremely sweet, friendly & accommodating!!

The hotel is in a very good location and is overall very clean. It is for sure worth staying at and I will be staying again in the future if possible.

We go to NYC a few times & year & I have stayed here a few times now. At the moment it is my favorite place to stay. It is close to Grand Central & great shopping. The staff are always very accommodating & the rooms are a great size for NY & everything is extra clean. I try to get one of the rooms with a balcony is I can, but the standard rooms are nice as well. I would definitely recommend this property!

We had a great time in NY and The Drapper NY was an excellent hotel. The water pressure was great. The bed was comfy. The staff was very helpful and professional. The location was near everything we needed. Highly recommend this hotel.

Just a trendy wrap on a terribly run hotel. Run like a motel 6. Just the small things, crap everywhere in the lobby. Staff not very accommodating. Just not worth it.

I loved my bed ?. Everything was fresh and very clean. Service was outstanding! Staff was friendly and helpful. The room was small, but that was to be expected, it’s New York. The most surprising thing was that there are no closets in any of the rooms, not even one drawer. Thumbs down! There is a simple bar above the coffee maker, which appears to have been added as an afterthought in an attempt to appease complaining customers. The rack is embarrassing, I even felt embarrassed for the hotel. A suggestion would be maybe a rack somewhere else in the room, possibly two racks (his and hers). Maybe something that looked like an effort was made. Other than the closet’s nonexistence, everything else was outstanding!

Location was perfect, quick 5 minute walk to my office. There were a LOT of nightlights in the room (mirror, alarm clock, and bathroom), I was able to disable some of them but for those that like a dark room it wasn't great.

I wasn't used to the accessibility doors, so that was a bit jarring at first, but manageable after I got a sense of how sensitive they were to any motion. The bathroom was *so* big, though I wish the toilet tissue was located on the other side of the toilet. The shower had great water pressure, and the water temperature was easy to adjust. The one thing I disliked was the faucet on the sink. If it was chosen for aesthetics, it did nothing for utility. It caused unnecessary spray. The bed was super comfortable, so I got great sleep. I loved having a coat hook right by the television for easy grab and go without opening closet doors. I also loved having a lot of surfaces in the room to work with. I think the entrance to the building will look even better after the construction is done. One brilliant feature is the beautiful back room which essentially serves as the lounge/waiting room. It's tucked away, but make sure to find it!

The hotel was in a nice spot. The bed was very comfortable. The only issue we had was the glass door in the shower should’ve opened out instead of in. Did not allow to get in or out of the shower easily.

Very small rooms. The desk staff barely spoke English, and you couldn’t get a coffee before 8 AM. Not to be petty but it’s a fairly expensive hotel and I wish I had stayed anywhere else.

Overall, the room was right. The hotel is a in a good location and neighbors weren’t loud next door. I was worried about not having the space cleaned since we were there for 3-nights and it wasn’t cleaned until late on the second day. The biggest issue was the shower and depending on where the shower head faced water would flood out onto the floor if you weren’t careful, or put a towel underneath to stop it from leaking out. There wasn’t a plastic piece at the bottom of the glass door, which I assume just fell off. Was more of a slipping hazard.

While the bed and room was very comfortable, there were dirty towels left on the shower which was disappointing. In the morning when we showered, there was no soap in the dispenser and also noticed a dirty cord to the handheld shower head.

The location was great — right in the heart of Manhattan, which made it very convenient to get around. The room service and staff were nice and friendly. However, I was quite disappointed with my stay. The room was very small and not soundproof at all; we could clearly hear other guests entering their rooms. On top of that, the slippers came with an extra charge, the refrigerator didn’t work, and, last but not least, the duvet cover was just two separate nylon sheets, which was uncomfortable and frustrating throughout my stay.

We only arrived at the hotel shortly before midnight and received a lovely welcome at the front desk with complimentary water, a nice surprise. The room was clean and the mattress very comfortable. We always enjoy good water pressure in the shower and it didn't disappoint. I will definitely book another stay at this hotel in the future.

The room was great however they need a small cupboard for clothing. At the minute they have a rail for clothes which makes the room smaller.

Great location in Midtown! The room was nice and cold when we arrived on a warmer day, so that was lovely. The space is very small, no counter space in bathroom, but typical of NYC in my experience. There was a water refill station on the C floor and a bathroom. :)

Overall, the services were good, but the room’s view was disappointing considering the extra amount I paid for it.

Bed was great. Room was very small, very limited counter place. When cleaning the room all that was done was making 1 of the 2 beds and nothing else.

Stayed in town last week and the staff are very friendly. The rooms were a little small but clean and very accommodating. Would recommend if you want to save some money and be in the heart of Manhattan.

In general was very good.

I stayed for 2 nights at the Draper. The room was clean and it was great to have luggage storage before check in!

The hotel was great, exactly what you need in NYC. Very close to most places in Manhattan, never had to take a cab. Everything was clean and very well setup, for example even the TV was setup to auto-logout of all streaming services at logout, which shows great attention to detail. The staff was amazing.

The front desk staff was very helpful at giving local bar/rooftop recommendations.

The hotel itself was nice, but the walls were quite thin and noise from neighboring rooms made it hard to get a good night’s rest.

The property was in the heart of midtown. Lots of good places within walking distance.

But everything else was great!!!

Every single member of staff we met at the hotel was wonderful. They we kind, helpful and super nice to deal with. I cannot thank them enough for how they treated us, really nice people, a wonderful advert for the hotel.

The hotel employees were fantastic! They were attentive and helpful with all or our needs. The rooms were clean and although it was smaller than what were used to for a family of 5, we managed and enjoyed our visit and view!

The Draper was a nice location for our weekend stay in NYC to see a show and some sightseeing. The employees were very nice. The rooms are small. We had 3 adults in a room with 2 double beds. It was tight. The location is good to get to the 34th street subway or walk to Times Square.

I took my 11 yr old daughter to NY. This hotel was exceptionally clean and comfortable. Perfect location to enjoy Bryant Park, 5th Ave shopping and Times Square. I would stay here again anytime!

Clean

I had an incredible 3 night stay at this hotel with my 2 teenaged daughters! We arrived at 9 am and the staff managed to get us into a room very early at 11 am. After traveling all night that was so appreciated. Rohan and the entire time were so accommodating and friendly. The room was small but that’s to be expected in NYC. The room was so beautiful and spotless. We had a great city view on the 20th floor. The location was fantastic and we will definitely be back. Thanks again!

Great stay

The few interactions I had with the staff were friendly and efficient. The room was clean and comfortable. It was also very cold in the middle of the hot summer which I very much appreciated. Walkable to some great spots in New York.

For the most part the hotel was nice Bt the rooms are extremely small. Like no room just beds ,a bathroom small table nd tv. Good customer service.not too far frm time square food nd shopping near by.

The room was really nice, the bed was really comfortable. Many good restaurants around the hotel. Barely used any transportation, because everything is from a walkable distance from the hotel.

The property was very central to many must-see destinations and transportation options. While the rooms are quite small, they were clean and comfortable. Would definitely stay here again!

The Draper was a great location for a first-time stay in new york! Conveniently located in walkable distance to times square, right on 5th avenue, and nearby the subway to get to different parts of the city. The bed and pillows were comfy and there was plenty of space to hide away your stuff given that it was a small room. Would stay here again if looking to stay in mid town!

The location is great. The staff are friendly. The room is very small but the king bed is good and comfortable. We had a problem with a clogged toilet when we arrived and since it was late we had to wait for almost 1 hour for someone to come and unclog the toilet. The internet worked on and off.

Great location but the hotel is paper thin and you hear all of the city when trying to sleep. Moved hotels and if was just this one. Also had no hot water after trying to run it for 15 minutes. Front desk told me to keep running it, like another 10-15 and it should work. What??? No! And the bar/restaurant is self serve they won’t even come to your table 10 feet away.

Hotel was spotless! Very clean and seems brand new. Staff checking in and out were efficient and friendly. Location is a very congested area but super convenient in midtown if you need to get to places around there.

I stay at the Draper every time I go to the city. Number one the Hotel is in the perfect location, in the center of midtown right off 5th ave. It’s really easy getting anywhere in the city. The rooms are always clean and the staff is really friendly! Also if you I advise to pay a little extra for the city view rooms so you don’t have to keep your blinds closed all the time.

The hotel was nice and clean. The A/C was not working properly the first few hours I was there. The night manager moved me to a premium room and all was taken care of. Overall good stay.

the only good thing about this hotel is the location that’s all you’re paying for, the room are extra small, no laundry room in the property, not even a microwave. For the price look around more there’s plenty of hotel available. will not stay again.

Friend staff, great location, fantastic bedding!

The ladies staffing the coffee shop in the morning were so fantastic! And the front desk staff were so nice and responsive.

Great location, clean room, comfy bed. The staff even had water sitting our for the guests which was a nice touch.

The location of this property is perfectly positioned in mid town and walking distance to so many things. The hotel is a bit older and the rooms are tight, however given we were only there to sleep it was absolutely fine. The staff were so kind and friendly.

Great place to stay with teenagers for their first visit to NYC. It was clean and close to everything.
