Reviews
The Dominick Hotel is a popular choice among travelers, with many praising its spacious rooms, friendly and accommodating staff, and great location in the heart of Soho. However, some guests have expressed frustration with the slow and poorly run elevators, as well as a lack of amenities such as a hot tub or cold plunge tub in the spa. Additionally, a few guests have reported issues with noise and rude staff.

20 minutes wait for the elevators, every time.

This is not the ubiquitous “luxury” pizazz term seen all over the place. It still remembers what Gen X knew as luxury aka quality not a scene.
- 4/5
The manager was not reachable, however Rachel at the front desk compensated us for the inconvenience by refunding us one night of our bill, it was a nice gesture, but the elevators waits truly affected the quality of the experience received at the Dominick’s.
- 3.5/5
Great location and great service. The elevators were awful. Often had to wait 10-15 minutes to catch one. The room had great views but seemed a little worn and the TV was placed in a location that obstructed a good portion of the view and could not be moved.
- 4/5
We love this hotel. It is a little tired now but the value is in the space that you get in the rooms and the amazing views particularly on the higher floors. Free pastries and hot drinks in the Mezze cafe for breakfast were a nice touch. The staff were lovely as usual. So many light switches in the bedrooms, several of which do not appear to work.

Several aspects of my stay at The Dominick fell far below expectations. First, the hotel’s maintenance is concerning. Multiple elevators were out of service or functioning poorly, creating excessive wait times. During busy periods, guests can easily spend 15–30 minutes simply waiting for an elevator. Second, I paid for a room advertised with a skyline view, only to look directly onto the rooftop of a neighboring building. This was not the experience that was advertised or expected. The biggest issue was the room itself. The air conditioning did not work despite repeated attempts by maintenance to fix it. During hot New York weather, spending the night in a warm room is unacceptable for a hotel charging luxury rates. The only solution offered was an apology, with no meaningful alternative provided. The pool, while impressive in promotional photos, is much smaller than it appears and becomes extremely crowded. It was difficult to enjoy due to the number of guests. Food and beverage service was also disappointing. The staff were friendly, but the quality of the food and drinks did not justify the very high prices. Overall, The Dominick seems to rely more on its reputation and marketing than on delivering a true luxury experience. Considering the price, I would strongly recommend looking at other luxury hotels in Manhattan.

The hotel space is nice. The wait for the elevator was outrageous. We waited easily for 15-20 minutes each time we needed to leave or return. The staff was unresponsive and unapologetic regarding this issue. I asked the concierge to help with reservations prior to arrival and she was unhelpful and neither communicated nor responded to my emails without several follow up emails asking for a status update. We waited for 30 minutes for the car and our luggage. The car returned to us dirty both inside and out. It was not a five star experience. We were quite disappointed.

The hotel was very nice. I wish it had more lobby and restaurant facilities but the people at the front desk were so lovely and the housekeeping lady was wonderful so I would definitely stay there again and it has a great location for shopping and restaurants restaurants

Good location. But Never again. PS: The elevators are extremely slow and not enough for the guests.

Pros: The view in the one bedroom Hudson suite was spectacular. The room was decently clean but tired. Good location. Cons: The pool temperature fluctuated between 71-104. We couldn’t count on using it. We were told we had an Amazon package delivered when we checked in. It took 3 phone calls and 24 hours to actually get it. As other reviews mention, the elevators are really an issue. Expect to wait at least 10 minutes every time. Large stains on the carpet. We were charged for something from the minibar when we checked out even though we didn’t take anything. I asked for the overall total when checking out, the person at the front desk couldn’t explain the receipt. They also never asked how the stay was. 2-3 star experience.

Just like during my first stay, I absolutely loved everything this time as well. The staff were incredibly warm, welcoming, and attentive throughout my visit. I was especially happy that they kindly assigned me a room similar to the corner room I had before. The view was simply breathtaking. I enjoyed it every single day and night the skyline never gets old, and waking up to that view was truly special. The food was outstanding. Whether it was by the pool or at breakfast, everything was delicious. The breakfast selection was excellent, and the smoothies were some of the best I’ve had. The service was flawless from start to finish. I wholeheartedly recommend this hotel to anyone staying in the area. For me, it is simply the best. When I return to New York, this will definitely be my hotel of choice again. In my opinion, it is one of the finest hotels in SoHo, offering exceptional service, amazing food, and truly spectacular views.
- 5/5
The staff was excellent throughout my stay—friendly, professional, and always helpful. As an Expedia VIP guest, I was hoping for a complimentary room upgrade, but it was not available. I ended up paying an additional $100 per night for an upgraded room, which I honestly didn’t mind because the higher-floor views were absolutely worth it. My biggest complaint would be the elevators. They were, unfortunately, a real challenge. There were multiple occasions when I waited 10–15 minutes for an elevator, and during busy afternoon hours there were often lines. If an elevator arrived full or with large strollers, it usually meant waiting for the next one. The elevator system definitely seems overwhelmed during peak times and could use improvement. That said, the views, location, service, and overall experience far outweigh this inconvenience. I would absolutely stay at The Dominick again and would recommend it to anyone looking for a luxury stay in downtown Manhattan.

Great room, friendly staff however the elevators are a real issue. Often waiting 10-15mins to get on one that is going to your floor due to the automated system they have.
- 3/5
The hotel is very nice. Love the location. The elevators are extremely slow and problematic. A couple of years ago they changed the elevator where you have to put your keycard in only for your floor. You can only get out on that floor and there are no buttons in the elevator. When the hotel is at capacity you can wait 30 minutes for an elevator because of this. Every guest we met complained about it. Note to management: please change the elevators back!
- 0.5/5
location dirty room with mould in the bathroom, carpets are filthy, paid for an extra high-level room, which was on floor 27, the hotel has 44 floors. Only space for 6 hangers, this is for 2 people on a 5-night stop, so I ended up living out of suitcases The reception & foyer is very old-fashioned in a shade of tobacco brown
- 4/5
Awesome location and amenities but the elevators were terrible…toke way to long during busy times to go up or down
- 3/5
We stayed on the 37th floor. The views were excellent. However, the drapes don’t open enough to uncover all the windows and also are a bit tired and don’t attach at the end, they need significant repair work. The gym was Great. The restaurants were great, however, getting an elevator was the worst experience ever. One of the elevators was out leading to extremely long lines. Would be at least a 10 minute wait to get your elevator to the floor and then because there were so many waiting. It was never quick. He stopped at many of the floors.
- 3/5
THE LIFTS ARE BADLY BROKEN, QUEUES ARE HORRENDOUS TO GET TO AND FROM YOUR ROOM. ONE OF THE FOUR LIFTS WAS OUT OF ORDER FOR THE FULL DURATION - 4 DAYS OF OUR STAY. There was nowhere to buy a coffee in the morning unless you paid for room service. The facilities were poor. It took us over 30 minutes to check in as they couldn't find us a SoHi room as we had booked.

I reserved the suite for me and my girls for our wedding weekend, it was the greatest experience and perfect for my getting ready pictures. Highly recommend!

I liked the general vibe of the property. The room was large and well appointed. Housekeeping did a great job. The staff in general were helpful and friendly. It was very busy at times and the lobby is not large so it could feel overcrowded. The elevator system is hopeless.
- 3/5
Overall I have the hotel 3 stars since my ceiling had weird red paint stains splotched on the ceiling, my tub had long hairs in it and looks like it was never scrubbed and the thin walls were bothersome as I could hear everything from my room. The only redeeming quality was the very nice staff everyone was super friendly.

We checked in at 2:45 for a 3pm check in and our room was not ready until 4:40 pm. On top of that the elevators in the property do not work and caused us to wait 20-30 minutes every morning. We ended up having to take the stairs multiple times.

Rooms were big and generous and peaceful. The lifts were awfully programmed and at one point I was waiting with a woman to get out to the building who had been staring at the lift for 14 minutes… !! We could t get down form our floor because there was an event on the top floor and lifts weren’t stopping to take us down to lobby!?! Awful. Very scary.

We’ve stayed at the Dominick several times under previous names, and had great experiences. It’s in a fantastic location in SoHo, has nice views, and the rooms are huge by NYC standards. All those things haven’t changed, but unfortunately the hotel is starting to show some wear and is in need of a refresh. It’s still a good hotel in a great location, it’s just not quite a polished as it used to be.

They’re not easily reachable by the phone. They left dirty dishes and linens in the bedroom. There was also blood on our sheets when we got to the hotel at first. Now, the staff was great, and they gave some accommodations. However, for the prices that they are charging, I was pretty disappointed overall with the hotel.
- 4/5
A wonderful hotel with amazing staff. Only hitch was they lost my car in the garage which caused me to be late for an event that I was supposed to be at.
- 5/5
The property is nice. The room was big, views incredible, lovely amenities, great location. However it’s the staff that makes it. Every single person is so outgoing, so helpful, so pleasant, really makes the stay special. My son who was with me really liked the doormen. They’d always talk to us about our day out when we got back to the hotel, and my son looked forward to telling them all about what we did. It’s unusual to find a team so consistently good.

Location was great - very central to shopping, restaurants and subway system. The hotel feels very dated—most of the furniture appears to be original from 20+ years ago, with visible scuffs and scratches throughout. Even the small TV in the bathroom feels like something from the early 2000s. Overall, the space just feels worn and outdated. I stayed in a two-bedroom suite, which was particularly disappointing. The main entry door wouldn’t fully shut or lock, so I had to call maintenance. They ended up installing an old-fashioned chain lock because the door had warped and couldn’t be properly secured. Not exactly reassuring. The room also had a strong cigarette smell, suggesting it hadn’t been properly cleaned after a previous guest. When I raised this with management, I was told there were no other two-bedroom suites available. Instead, they tried to upsell me to a penthouse, which felt like an odd response given the situation. Overall, not a great experience.

I stayed many times in this hotel. Location and staff are great. Unfortunately, the hotel becomes dated. It needs a large scale renovation, furniture shows signs of wear and tear. The apparently updated elevator software results in very long wait times. During the morning rush hours one may have to wait up to 20-25 minutes. Overall, this hotel is currently not matching (anymore) its hotel star ranking. Staff is however great!!!

I had a wonderful stay at The Dominick Hotel in New York. The room was exceptionally spacious, which is rare in the city, and offered a truly fantastic view — definitely a highlight of the experience. The housekeeping service was excellent, very attentive and consistently high quality. I also really enjoyed the food; the kitchen delivers a great standard. The only downside was the elevator situation. The lifts are too few and unfortunately quite slow, which often resulted in long waiting times and a bit of chaos during peak hours. That said, aside from this inconvenience, the hotel is outstanding overall. I would absolutely recommend it and would gladly stay again. I had a wonderful stay at The Dominick Hotel in New York. In general, a decent stay. The hotel itself is in a prime location. Soho is the best area in NY IMO. The drag on the stay was the elevators. They were horrendous. At peak times, the wait for the elevator was >20 minutes! You have to plan your day/time around the legthy waits. Wont be back for this reason.

Clean room, friendly service. They go out of the way to make you feel comfortable.

This was our fourth stay at what has become our home in NYC.. never disappoints.. from the friendly staff (who seem to be there year after year like Marek) to the amazing room service to the unbearable location. This is the only place to stay in NYC for those who want to avoid the horrible tourist trap of Times Sq and who want an authentic friendly experience.

I had a great time staying at The Dominick Hotel with my family. Our son and the hotel share the same name, which is why we chose the hotel when celebrating his thirteenth birthday. From the moment we arrived, we were well pleased. Gabriella, who exudes kindness and has a beautiful soul, saw us immediately and was a wonderful person to converse with. To assist us in making our son's birthday more memorable, she was able to provide us with an upgrade that had more aesthetic views. I also emailed the hotel prior to our stay and had the chance to speak with Lissette Acosta. In addition to promptly responding to my email, she took the initiative to assist with our accommodations before our arrival. During our stay we had dessert sent to our room and the server also was genuine and personable. He made our youngest son smile when he showed him a way to eat his dessert to make it more delicious. Our breakfast the following morning was also delicious and the fruits were fresh. Everyone we encountered at the hotel were kind, which made for a pleasant stay. Before we left, our son asked if he can live there. We will definitely make The Dominick Hotel a place to stay for all of his milestone birthdays.

Size of the room, the view was amazing. I'd love to see Chromecast technology in the rooms. The elevators were the only minor pain point.

Nothing bad smell Anything, the elevators took forever to arrive the receptionist was not polite. I checked out earlier because of that and they charged in full.
- 5/5
Staff was great, location is very convenient to Subway and shopping. My only complaint was the elevators weren’t working the first day were there. The staff had to operate manually and it took very long to get up to the 36th floor. Would stay again as long as the elevators are working.

On the surface, the 5 star luxury hotel The Dominick in SoHo appeared clean and quite presentable. During the night, cockroaches appeared. Upon awakening the next morning, the plumbing was nonfunctional. Certain expectations exist when travelers make accommodations with a luxury hotel. The Dominick experience was less than stellar.

Location, Service, Breakfast, People, Style, Seize of the Room No refunding or any other benefit (except pastries 06:30-11:00) while elevators were out of order and on manual steering, which took a bunch of time to get up and down. This hotel was very nice but their elevator were broken which was a real bummer bc it has 30+ floors. They managed to get 2 of them working but it took a very long time. The staff could not possibly have been nicer and they discounted our room by 20% which was very nice so I would definitely stay there again over-all. Everything else was perfect.

- 2/5
Hotel it’s self is very clean.. but the elevators were broken which ruined my experience because I was late for everything I had planned and was on the 30th floor so only other option was to go down 30 flights of stairs. I am waiting to be partially comped for the inconvenience other than that I would stay here again but for a 5 star hotel that elevator issue really messed up a lot of peoples planned activities and even to get throughout the hotel for so treatment. Other than being held up to get to the spa it was a really good massage ajanae and Jamie did a great job.

This hotel was a nightmare. The most incompetent staff I’ve ever had the pleasure of dealing with. Overcharged me, gaslit me, continued to make accounting mistake after accounting mistake. It’s been a week since my trip and they still haven't been able to refund me or correct their mistakes. No one seems to understand numbers. When I say nightmare don’t take that lightly. These people have no clue what they are doing. Don’t trust it, go to a known and loved label they would never give their clients a headache over their own errors. They made mistakes and wasted my entire trip and all the money I brought to spend on my trip without any remorse or recourse and IM STILL WAITING FOR MY MONEY BACK. Also their elevators broke during our stay. 45 minute waits if you don’t want to climb 35 stairs. This was terrible terrible terrible. Do not take the chance.

We stayed for 2 nights and the elevators were not working. The first night we called down to the desk because we went to leave and couldn’t. We were in the 20th floor. They said the elevators were broken and to use the stairs. We said that is 20 flights and I have a medical condition where I cannot walk far. They just said sorry that’s all you can do. So we were stuck in the hotel all night!!!!!! We were only in NYC for 2 nights and paid a lot of money to be here!! They couldn’t have cared less. It was just an awful experience. Staff seemed unbothered. Awful awful just don’t

The only minor observation (and truly a small one) is that some in-room design elements feel a bit dated. For example, the bathroom TV was quite small and mounted on a bracket that felt oversized for it. I can imagine this being a great feature years ago, but today it felt more like a relic than a luxury and slightly distracted from an otherwise polished room. That said, this didn’t meaningfully impact our stay, and we would absolutely return. With a few light updates, the rooms would feel just as modern as the rest of the experience.

The rooms at The Dominick Hotel always feel like a home away from home. I keep choosing to stay at The Dominick Hotel also because of the Sisley Spa on the seventh floor. A hotel with an amazing spa is top tier. The staff always greets everyone and are friendly and approachable. I will choose The Dominick Hotel again and again.

Rooms are a nice size but decor is dated. Stained carpet and tattered wall paper need refurbishing. Feels like outdated and poor upkeep has dulled potential previous shine. Only stay if you want 5-star for slightly better price point for its class and are not bothered by the less than pristine conditions.

The woman left the building, and then the man who had hit her started to harass another guest because she had filmed the fight. This time I called for staff to do something and again, with multiple staff line of sight, they did nothing. I had to again intervene to calm the situation down. After the situation broke up I went to my room and called the manager, who was busy and said he’d call me back. Which he didn’t. I called again and was told that that the man who hit the woman, and later harassed the other guest, wasn’t asked to leave because “he didn’t start the fight” he also didn’t acknowledge the lack of action by the staff and instead repeatedly told me the hotel has security and this was a safe building. He then offered me a food and beverage credit which was an insane response to me having to de-escalate a situation while his staff watched. Finally, one of the staff said some very inappropriate things about the ppl fighting.

Great hotel, room, and location. We had booked two rooms for a long weekend. Only issue is that one room was not ready at hotel checkin time and we were not informed of its readiness until 7pm when we inquired again.

Clean and luxe room and overall look and feel of the hotel. Loved the Diptyque toiletries in the bathroom. Good selection of in-room snacks and drinks available and excellent room service! Thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would absolutely come back.

Great place to stay, clean, convenient and comfortable. Giving it 4 stars because the elevator system is terrible. It's unnecessarily confusing and slow.

Dirty smelly room. Rude service. Smelly plumbing. Manager no where to be found

What free breakfast? I paid between $170-$200 a day for my breakfast!

Every aspect of the stay reflected thoughtful hospitality—from the prompt housekeeping service to the quiet efficiency of in-room dining and concierge assistance. It’s clear that the staff take pride in maintaining an impeccable standard. I left with the impression that every guest is treated with care and sincerity. Truly one of the finest hotel experiences I’ve had in New York. I look forward to returning.

Great staff and rooms. No lobby bar nor good restaurant. Pool closed even in warm weather.

I should not have had to fight for the room pictured. Felt as though the hotel was banking on my silence. I wonder how many other people have been duped into thinking they were purchasing one type of room, but then ended up in a similar situation not pictured in the photos.
- 5/5
Great room. High city view was great. Great sunrise views. Room was large with decent storage. Great bathroom with two sinks and an excellent shower. No slippers big negative for my wife and was surprised at that particularly with the marble bathroom floor. Breakfast was pretty good and we had it included in our rate through Expedia. Despite the lack of slippers we will consider The Dominick for a future NYC stay.
- 5/5
Clean room. Pleasant and helpful staff. Excellent job by housekeeping.
- 1/5
Normally I love this hotel we stay here a lot but on this particular stay in was awful. Other than valet staff who were great as always. got one of the worst rooms in the category that I booked. Staff walks in despite do not disturb on door. Front desk staff not nice. Just all around very disappointing experience
- 5/5
The hotel staff was INCREDIBLE. They helped us out a bunch of times with food delivery, after hours turn down service and directions. 10/10 would recommend and I will be going back for sure.
- 4/5
Good stay overall. Some issues with the room like the a/c made loud noise throughout the entire stay and was hard to sleep with it
- 5/5
This is a wonderful hotel. The staff is excellent and the vibe is luxurious, modern, yet classic.
- 5/5
Nice day
- 5/5
Loved the hotel and service. Great views!!
- 3/5
The rooms need to be renovated. Shower stall leaked due to poor seals next to the wall enclosure. I expect a lot more for a 5-star hotel at the exorbitant prices that they charge. Do not eat at the restaurants in this hotel. The food is less than average and overpriced. Service is not good and they automatically add a minimum of 18% service charge regardless of the size of your party or the service they provide.
- 4/5
Spacious rooms comfortable bed courteous staff. Would recommend and stay again
- 5/5
Everything was as expected customer service was beyond helpful and amenities was exeptional
- 5/5
Wonderful view from our spacious room. The bed was comfortable. The lotion was plentiful. Everything worked in the room. The wait for elevator could be improved. Hotel breakfast is on a high end. This being said, there is a Nespresso machine in the room.
- 3/5
I stayed in a suite at The Dominick hoping for a true five-star experience but was disappointed in several areas. While there are positives, too many issues suggest it falls short of what should be expected at this level. Rooms lack basic amenities such as make-up removal wipes and cotton balls. The hotel’s restaurant closure wasn’t mentioned in advance, and there were no complimentary minibar items or late-night room service. In addition, guests must pay extra for a reliable Wi-Fi connection. The blackout curtains, which should provide a dark environment, let in too much light, making it difficult to sleep in. Furnishings feel slightly dated and worn, and elevators were consistently slow and overcrowded. Although the staff were pleasant, poor traffic management at the entrance added to the frustration. For the nightly cost, you’re likely better off choosing a property that consistently delivers a five-star experience, such as the Four Seasons, at a similar price point.

Dominick is a solid hotel in heart of soho. Rooms are in great condition and hotel has all amenities for an enjoyable experience. Will come back again.
- 2/5
The room we checked into had a terrible smell of body odor throughout, as well as the hallways and elevator area it smelled like airplane food. We asked to switch to a new room which they kindly accommodated but the second Rumm they transferred us to was even worse it had a slightly less body odor stench, but it had a large discoloration on the carpet. They clearly had recently covered up a stain. We then requested to go back to the original room as it was larger and felt a little cleaner despite the smell. After spending the first night there in our prepaid night stay we decided to leave early and check into another hotel. We weren’t able to get a refund through Expedia because the customer service through Expedia is a nightmare. It is very difficult to get a hold of a live agent over the phone. We lost the second night but if we were to stay it would have ruined the entire trip.

The Dominick's staff truly made the trip unforgettable! I would personally like to thank Gabby who made my wife really comfortable, and did everything she could to get us the best possible experience! Would definitely stay here again! My only gripe is traffic was a nightmare! However, the staff quickly makes you forget about all of that, they valet your car, and immediately attend to your luggage! The view from our room was incredible, especially at night!!
- 1/5
Waited 5-15 mins for the lifts each time to get in and out the hotel
- 5/5
Perfect location for the girls trip with my 15year old daughter. Soho shopping was great! The pool was fantastic and the location was less than a block to the subway. We rode the subway all week and never felt unsafe. Excellent hotel, we will be back!
- 5/5
This hotel is wonderful in many way, beautiful, clean, staff is incredible! The outdoor pool is amazing!!
- 5/5
Nice room, large and quiet for NYC, bed was very soft but OK. Very clean property, nice staff.
- 1/5
Room is spacious and location is good, but this hotel”s elevators are terrible. Whenever I waited elevator, I had to wait at least 10 minutes. I was late every reservations. iIt took 30 minutes from lobby to the room to pick up my stuff. If you want to go there check they fix the elevator or not.
- 5/5
One final note, the elevator situation needs to be fixed asap!
- 5/5
The location couldn’t be more perfect—right in the heart of SoHo, surrounded by amazing shops, restaurants, and art galleries, yet the hotel still feels like a peaceful escape from the busy streets. The amenities were top-notch, and I especially loved the relaxing atmosphere throughout the property. If you’re visiting NYC and want a luxurious, memorable stay, The Dominick Hotel is a must. I can’t wait to come back!
- 5/5
Loved the rooms. Very spacious. Thought the parking was over priced so found parking on my own.pool was lovely. Many chipped tiles in pool which was uncomfortable on feet
- 5/5
Very nice hotel, great location amazing view
- 3/5
Walls are paper thin and we were next to a family with two toddlers and a screaming baby. Pool is full of kids splashing and was not relaxing at all - also not on the roof which was disappointing. Hotel needs a major tech upgrade - TV didn't have streaming and didn't really work so could only watch cable, automatic drapes didn't work, elevators were constantly breaking so we would have to wait 15-20 mins just to get up and down from the room (which for a business trip is insane, was so late to meetings).
- 5/5
Bed comfort
- 5/5
Great hotel. Very large rooms and stunning views.
- 5/5
This was a wonderful experience. The service with some of the best I’ve ever experienced. The staff was very attentive and was able to accommodate all my wins. It was truly a pleasurable experience.
- 5/5
Very lovely property. Very well situated and spacious rooms. Very central to shopping and lots of dinning options.
- 4/5
Hotel was great but could definitely use some sprucing up and a better cleaning service. Room was dusty and not that clean. Common areas looked a little dingy. Location, pool, and room size were all great.
- 5/5
Nice place , elevator is crazy
- 5/5
Overall, my husband and I had a great time. We were there in October to celebrate his birthday. This time, we went in July to celebrate our first anniversary. I had emailed the ambassador to request the same type of room we had in October and Leidy was able to get us the same room on a higher floor under the same room category I had booked. We received complimentary chocolate covered strawberries in our room because we were celebrating our anniversary. The strawberries were really good and the quality of chocolate was amazing. We would return again to celebrate an event at this hotel.

Really liked the property, views and all staff (desk, concierge and housekeeping) were very helpful and kind. Good gym and very spacious rooms w terrific bathrooms. The decor of rooms could use some tweaking as some wear and tear but very clean.
- 5/5
Everything about this hotel is perfect
- 5/5
Very nice hotel, and beautiful service in the middle and everything
- 5/5
We were impressed from the start by the greeting we got at check in. We were early for our check in and didn't expect to have a room but they gave us one anyway and told us that it wasn't just any room either. They were right. It was spacious for a NYC hotel and very stylish and comfortable. The location is just at the edge of Soho and a short stroll from everything we love in NY. A quick subway ride brought us to the theatre on Broadway and the mid-town mayhem. Can't recommend this place enough. We were happy to retire to this peaceful, modern, clean and elegant haven at the end of the night. My fiancée says this will be our only hotel in NY from now on. Many thanks to the friendly housekeeping staff and the front desk. The restaurant Vestry is also fabulous!
- 5/5
Wonderful
- 5/5
The Dominick was an excellent choice in a great part of NYC. Nice rooms with and a helpful and pleasant front desk staff. The only downside was the small lobby.
- 5/5
There is a restaurant in the same building Aitana that is spectacular, I recommend it.
- 5/5
Great service
- 5/5
And food everywhere!
- 5/5
Lovely hotel, personable and friendly staff
- 4/5
Only complaint is their elevators need repair. They were almost always slow to arrive and or full which caused hotel guests delays. I saw many people complaining about them.
- 4/5
Great view, small rooms.
- 2/5
The carpets in the room were incredibly dirty. Had to ask for towels/none in the room. Could hear the staff throughout the entire night. Very bad experience. The front desk staff were very accomodating.
- 5/5

- 5/5
Friendly responsive staff. Beautiful view. Nice bed.
- 5/5
I love this hotel!
- 5/5
Absolutely beautiful hotel!! Will be staying here my next trip to NYC.
- 5/5
The staff could not have been nicer or more helpful. From all the front door men to the bellmen to the concierge, check in, check out and maid service. Our room was nicely proportioned, bathrooms were spacious, well equipped and clean. Only complaint would be that my Mom was charged $17.00 for a glass of orange juice. By any standard, that is OUTRAGEOUS
- 5/5

Loved this place! We brought our baby and they brought in a crib and some baby amenities for us. Will come back here again next time we come to NYC!
- 3/5
The hotel is in an amazing location, and the staff were amazing too. The views are incredible. However, the room was poorly maintained. The carpets were very stained, the smell in the rooms was very strong like BO, or sewage. The sofa was dirty, so we could not use it as a third bed, and the water was coming out of the shower. It is a shame because the shower was so good. And they cleaned the bathrooms well, The air in the halls was very stale. The shower products were nice. I do hope that the hotel invest in renovation of the rooms. And removes all the carpets, because it is so worth it. By far all the staff is the best asset of the hotel.
- 5/5
Great location, beds were wonderful. Highly recommend this place
- 5/5
This is a spectacular hotel. I upgraded to a room with a view— and what a view! From the midtown skyscrapers to downtown with the Brooklyn Bridge in clear view. The room was spacious and comfortable.
- 5/5
This is our second time at the dominick and it was very good
- 5/5
Beautiful
- 3/5
The service and the people were beyond attentive and accommodating. However, the rooms are getting old, visible wear can be seen to the cabinets, carpet, flooring etc., and many rooms had a musty odor which is unacceptable for a hotel of this pricepoint. Was a visible difference since I was there in 2021, which is a shame as the people and staff were amazing.
- 2/5
No VIP benefits.
- 5/5
Clean and the location was great! Housekeeping was fantastic! Such a nice touch finding chocolate by our bedside every night. We also loved the Diptyque hotel amenities. Im so glad we stayed in this hotel! What a great experience.
- 5/5
Amazing hotel!
- 4/5
Good
- 3/5
The location is great! The washroom glass door made loud bang noise on opening and closing, the Expedia upgrade wasn’t honored, asked for additional $$$ to upgrade, thought the whole idea of free upgrade of available was “free”.
- 4/5
Very clean and luxurious
- 5/5
An absolute amazing and memorable trip made perfect by The Dominick Hotel. Everything about the hotel was sensational, from the location, cleanliness and facilities to its staff and unparalleled views from the hotel rooms. I cannot recommend this hotel enough and will definitely be returning upon my next trip to the big apple.
- 5/5
Nice and comfortable hotel, beautiful views, well designed bathrooms and rooms and amenities. Cool vibe. Good gym though it was pretty busy in the mornings. Sometimes it took a while to get an elevator. Staff was very attentive.
- 4/5
also had trouble getting hot water for shower.
