My new favorite in Midtown. Will definitely stay again.

The room is quite spacious by NYC standards, they provide bottled water every day, snacks, two robes and slippers - this is something that isn't typically provided by NYC hotels, whereas it's standard in Asia. It's quiet and you cannot hear the noise from outside as the windows are double or triple glazed. It's a boutique hotel so you cannot expect state of the art amenities. They don't have a hotel bar or anything but they do have a very good steakhouse attached to the hotel.

It was a wonderful experience at the Chemists Club Hotel. The staff and the overall customer experience were truly exceptional and on another level. From check-in with Rahman to check-out with Brigitte, and especially the concierge, Lance, everyone was amazing, very helpful, and highly professional. They truly went above and beyond to ensure guest satisfaction and make the stay memorable. The only minor points I would mention are that the elevator felt a bit old, although it was still functional and did not affect the overall stay. Also, the room could benefit from better soundproofing near the main door area, as noise from the hallway, including movement and doors closing, could be heard clearly from inside the room.

The Chemist Club Hotel has so much going for it. It was clean, quiet, and located in an easy spot to get around the city. The room was good sized for New York and was surprisingly quiet as well- bonus that you can control the fan in the room to be on all the time. It is conveniently located about a block from Grand Central Station, so that made sightseeing really straightforward. The staff were all friendly, and it was nice we could leave our luggage with them when we arrived before check in time. I was disappointed that there weren’t quick breakfast options- I possibly misread the options about this ahead of time- especially since two mornings we had to leave right away and get to an event. Thankfully, there are quick options in Grand Central Station. Overall, we would stay here again.

HVAC system was incredibly noisy, which interfered with our sleep. No iron in the room, bathroom very small, limited outlet access near bed.

This is a lovely boutique hotel centrally located. I could go on and on about how wonderful all the employees are here, so welcoming, and efficient. We have stayed twice, and always leave happy.

This review will vary depending on who the traveler is: if you want a reasonable rate, fantastic room and location, this is a 10/10; but if you need anything that a traditional hotel offers in the way of service or amenities, then I'd rate this a 5/10. Its 2026 and they still have a standard TV with outdated worthless cable channels and no ability to stream; no room service, no plates or utensils to use if you order food from a delivery service. Management of the hotel is seriously lacking - BUT that's not a knock on the actual hotel employees who were all A+ - the management company just doesn't staff the hotel so there's only a few employees on site. If you try calling the front desk, it may take 7-8 tries. Last complaint is the bogus resort fee they charge and justify by offering you a couple free sodas in the mini-fridge and some random snacks that I didn't even touch - hate any hotel that uses these gimmicks to give the appearance of a lower daily room rate and then tacks on these additional charges without any real purpose.

Overall, I had a very pleasant stay. The hotel was clean, comfortable, and well-maintained. It was also in a great location, within walking distance of many popular attractions, which made it easy to get around and explore the city. There wasn't much to dislike. The only thing that would have made the stay even better would have been having breakfast included with the room.

Excellent location in Midtown, a couple of minutes to the buses on Madison, next to Grand Central Terminal, in the best shopping area along Madison and Fifth, and an easy walk to the theater district. The Alchemy Suite is beautiful and totally quiet, a haven of peace in busy Manhattan. The personnel is very friendly, courteous, and eager to help. The only regret is that there was no gluten free bread provided at breakfast in the Benjamin, the restaurant that serves the hotel. You need to bring your own.

I had a fantastic stay at The Chemist Club in Murray Hill. The location is unbeatable — just steps from Grand Central Station, which made getting around the city incredibly easy with quick access to the subway system.My room was very clean and surprisingly large by New York standards, which made the stay even more comfortable.What really stood out was the top‑notch service and hospitality. Every interaction felt warm, attentive, and genuinely welcoming.I would definitely stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a convenient, comfortable, and well‑run place in Midtown.

Nice room. Very comfortable.. My only complaint is the housekeeping. When I left in the morning, I put a Urgent please clean room on the door came back three hours later and the room had not been cleaned. I left for the afternoon and I think the room was not clean till about 5 PM. When I departed, they kept knocking on my door even though I told him I was checking out in half an hour and they interrupted and actually entered the room before I was ready to leave..

The bellmen were really great and built up a strong rapport with you. We changed rooms as we had an interconnecting room but could clearly hear the couple next door but the reception staff made this very easy for us. There was a lack of sound proofing between interconnecting rooms which is problematic if you aren't needing an interconnecting room. We had to ask for more hangers. Much more hangers needed in the wardrobe.

The air conditioning only goes down to 68 degrees. As someone who gets hot when they sleep this made my sleep very uncomfortable.

Rooms were modern, felt quite spacious for NYC. Central location, easy to get around. Staff were very friendly, polite and helpful. The bellhop was fabulous! Only complaint is the lifts were slow

It was quite central, around the corner from Grand Central Station and yet just on the outskirts of the chaos of NY. It was exactly as pictured and very clean. The staff were all very friendly and willing to assist in any way. A great restaurant for breakfast, with amazing waiters. Nothing.

Only one thing and it is not the hotel's fault, but the street feels a little sketchy at night. Only at night. Staff are great. The location is awesome. Super close to the grand central station. Took the train everywhere. If breakfast is included in your reservation, they have a small prefixed menu for you to choose from. There are a lot of food and coffee spots close to the hotel. Would stay here again. The rooms could be considered pricey but because of the room's size, cleanliness, staff and location, I can justify it.

The cleaning staff were always very good at their job. Even when we left late in the day, they always managed to clean our room very quickly but still effectively. Also loved how bottled water is always replenished. The shower really needs an extra glass door to fully cover it. The half glass door shower system was quite uncomfortable.

Great location for getting to see NYC No view from our bedroom on the backside 16th floor other than looking into an office block which was only meters away. Luck of the draw I guess but would have been nicer looking out the front.

The attached Benjamin Steak restaurant was in our opinion over rated. Extremely noisy for an evening meal and difficult to hold a conversation. For such an expensive restaurant the Customer service was disappointing and food was nice but not worth the money.

The location The people on reception are incompetent. My mum wanted to surprise me with a room set up for my birthday. My mum found out they charged my card and it was my mum’s surprise. The staff do not seem to know anything of useful information. But you can always rely on a pushy doorman trying to make you get a taxi via them as they clearly keep some of the percentage. Housekeeping was useless they wouldn’t really clean the bathroom during our stay for three nights and to me that’s the most essential part. The bed had this boiling hot plastic sheets underneath the bottom sheet which me and my mum had to take off daily as it made us sweat at night sleeping on plastic. The call Rita to find your room almost pitch black and the key was quite temperamental to enter the room. The room they first put us in was the Queen room large Terrace was nothing like the pictures. The balcony clearly shows in the pictures a nice display of flowers and cushion pads so you can sit outside straight away in fact the Terrace was completely covered over. No cushions. Breakfast was abysmal for the price. Blazing Fire on in the restaurant throughout the whole day so you was just hot continuously. Just because you cater for different variations of eggs and how they are cooked it doesn’t mean that it’s a nice menu. On our final morning there we was up quite early due to our jetlag and we asked for in room dining to bring us toast and two lattes around 7:30 am. We was told there is maintenance work being carried out and the kitchen is not open yet considering it says that the kitchen opens at 7 am within the rooms for in room dining. We left it till 8 am and still not serving any food in room dining or any food in the dining room. I asked what is going on and how long it’s gonna last for I would just like some transparency. No one seem to know anything considering the whole hotel restaurant lobby area and reception is the size of a postage stamp.

Good location and very clean, however no bar area to relax and unwind. Room was spacious and clean but our room overlooked a busy office block so privacy was an issue unless the curtains were closed. Nobody to help with luggage, and repeatedly needed to remind them to fill coffee pods. Nothing awful but nothing exciting either that I could say - Sadly however I wouldn’t return.

Great Hotel very close to the Grand Central and The Library. Clean, friendly staff and the steakhouse connected to the hotel is amazing. Rooms are comfortable and quiet even though you are in the centre. I like that you can open the window. Property has an amazing history and we will definetly book it again.

This hotel has a really nice location considering it’s Midtown - tucked away on a pretty quiet street. The rooms are gorgeous. The lobby isn’t much of a vibe though and it was weird that there isn’t a coffee bar situation in the morning. The staff were super kind though!

We absolutely loved the location! It’s not by Times Square so definitely less noise and people walking around but right beside Grand Central so easy to get to where you need to go. The hotel was quiet and very relaxing. It was very clean and very classy! Everyone in the staff was so warm and welcoming. Smiles on everyone! It was fantastic! It felt like home:) The view was not great but honestly I didn’t even care. I knew I wasn’t going to get a great view and that’s fine because of all the positives. I wanted a quieter area which of course means not that bustling city view. We didn’t ever look out the window because we were gone majority of the day or asleep haha

The room in the picture was spacious and huge, in reality it's too tiny which was really depressing!!. Also the lobby was extremely small, it didn't give the vibe nor the expected experience, that's why I felts it's really overpriced compared to what I payed. Also the water temperature in the bathroom wasn't stable.

Beautiful chic guest rooms. Great quiet street close to midtown and GCT. Nice fitness room. The restaurant is a large old steak house from a different era than the hotel. A bit dated. This is where breakfasts are served. This space just didn’t feel like the right vibe for breakfast, and didn’t match the personality of the hotel.

We loved everything about the Chemists' Club Hotel. The location and how clean this place was. We stayed at other hotels, but this one was different. I'm so sensitive about the sheets and I can honestly say the sheets were very clean every time the staff were cleaning our room. We couldn't be happier with the location. It's close to everything you need, the subway, Grand Central Station just a few steps away, Bryant Park two blocks away, Union Square and Rockefeller Center as well. We will definitely stay here again next time we are in Manhattan. Thank you Chemists' Club Hotel team.

Hotel was very clean and updated. Staff was exceptional! Check in was seamless and accommodating. The beds were comfortable and quiet. We stayed for 3 nights for a mother/son trip. Close to Grand Central which provided easy access to subway. I would definitely stay again.

The room was very clean and nicely designed, as well as the entire hotel. The hotel has an interesting history and character, and the staff were super courteous and helpful. Excellent location, in close proximity to Bryan Park, Grand Central, and many other NY's landmarks. it made our visit to the city pleasant and convenient.

First visit, I stayed in the penthouse suite. Gorgeous room with a great layout and an amazing terrace. It was too cold to enjoy but a stay here in warmer weather would be truly amazing. The problem: I found a GIANT, kaiju-sized cockroach in the curtains. I called the front desk and the only response was, “It happens when it’s cold outside. They are coming in for the warmth.” No offer to do anything about it. To be fair, I’m not sure what they COULD have done (inspected the room, offer to switch rooms, a discount…). The room was so beautiful I not only stayed, I came back a couple months later. Second visit, Alchemy suite. Cool room. Stained glass and black vegetal columns/arches. Not as big as I expected, and being on the fourth floor, the only windows are the stained glass and for good reason: they open to a crappy view nothing. Two issues:. First, there was a door mechanism (for wheelchair access) that kept loudly clicking every 10 mins. Sounded like someone was opening the door. Second, the shower was scalding hot. It actually burned my feet. There was no way to adjust it cooler. I called the front desk and was told there was no fix for the door (clearly not the 1st to complain) and maintenance was not available to check the shower. Offered a junior suite and took it.

I give this hotel 3 stars because the suite we booked (the Alchemy suite) they said was unavailable when we checked in. No prior warning or explanation. They did give us 30% off of the junior suite and it was very nice, but it’s not the suite we wanted. This makes us wary to book with them again

The staff is relaxed yet attentive the room was spotless everyday and the location is peerless. Most of all, it’s perfectly quiet despite being close to midtown. I will definitely be back.

Beautiful and clean, like staying at your own place. Probably the softest bedding I have ever slept in. Right next to Grand Central but still a quiet apartment feel.

Walls are thin, mattresses are sagging, and the fixtures in the bathroom were loose and need updating. My rating reflects the relatively high price this hotel charges for their rooms. At this price point, expectations are higher. Other than these factors, this hotel has huge potential, very classy lobby, nice design, great building history and pedigree.

We are seasoned travelers and loved our stay at the Chemists' Club hotel. The hotel is well located, the front desk staff is exceptional, and the room furnishing were high end and comfortable. The bathroom was on the small side, but manageable. We look forward to visiting again in the future.

Clean rooms, nice welcome basket, concierge and staff were all super friendly and helpful. Excellent location. Gym was clean with equipment in good condition. A high level experience that will definitely see us come back in the future.

We had a great stay at the Chemist Club Hotel. The Hotel itself is beautiful , clean and the rooms are large updated with comfortable bedding . The staff was kind, courteous and helpful . 5 star VIP treatment by staff with every interaction. The location is top tier ! Around the corner from Grand Central , situated between Park & Lexington and short walk to Bryant Park and subway lines. 5th Avenue 2 blocks away ! Overall I highly recommend The Chemist Club Hotel and any future trips I will definitely stay there again.

The property itself is wonderful, after a long day of running around the city I was super pleased to find that my room was very comfortable! The area around the hotel was quiet which is new for me when staying in NYC. Staff was nice as well! Room was exceptionally clean, a stones throw to central station. Staff at front desk always willing to help and checking in. Safe area and very close proximity to many sites. Excellent stay.

When we left they were nice enough to give us late checkout but neglected to tell us we needed to get the key physically extended so we had to go back up and down when we were trying to leave to catch a plane. Also they offered to get us a “car” to the airport for a fixed fee of $65. Turns out this is a taxi - not a car service which I found very misleading- would have rather taken a Lyft comfort for less money. And it turned out to be 67 and change. Also not mentioned. Left a very bad taste for end of trip.

We rented 3 rooms at the Chemists Club and we were all impressed with the rooms, the cleanliness, the restaurant that had amazing breakfast available for a nominal price . I chose this hotel for the location and the reviews and would definitely stay there again. The staff was super helpful, kind and courteous.

Overall good — nice, BIG room for NYC and it’s nicely renovated. Staff was nice as well. Super convenient to Grand Central Station. WiFi was good. Loved that they had ESPN and ESPN2. Opportunities: I didn’t like that there was no security in the elevator where you have to have a key card to get in. Anybody could get in the elevator and go up to any floor. Also, it would’ve been nice to have more washcloths which I did request. Also, it would’ve been nice to have been asked or have the service where we could’ve gotten help getting tickets to shows, etc..

Great hotel that is One block away from Grand Central Station. Benjamin Steakhouse Prime is around the corner and is delicious. Not the one connected to the hotel.

To say this hotel is a hidden gem would be an understatement. I have stayed in dozens of nice hotels in NYC and this far surpassed all of them. My room was twice the size of any room I've ever had. Giant marble bathroom, great bed and a gorgeous room. Honestly I was shocked. The staff was so friendly and the hotel was quiet. I have never stayed in the midtown area but my daughter moved to Murray Hill and The Chemists'Club had great reviews. I was skeptical, but it truly was amazing. I will be staying here from now on. Highly recommend if you need to stay in the Midtown area.

Booked for the king size bed and that’s just what I got. The bed was comfy the room was well air conditioned the bathroom was very clean and the whole room smelled amazing. Very spacious room and the lighting in the room is amazing. Staff very nice and welcoming very good experience!

The entire staff at The Chemists; Club Hotel were/are amazing! This was our first time staying with them and we don't want to stay anywhere else on our monthly trips to Manhattan! First stay. Probably will not stay again. Room was clean and well appointed, if not a little on the small side. Had requested a quiet room but experienced high levels of noise from adjacent room. The air-conditioning/ temperature control did not work well!

Newly renovated with good sized rooms and nice facilities in the small but well equipped gym. Staff are incredibly friendly and welcoming and work hard to make the stay a positive experience. This has been my consistent experience over several stays.

This hotel continues to blow me away! I've stayed here multiple times. The staff is amazing. It is newly renovated and so clean, they have nice and spacious rooms, and the housekeeping is incredible! Book it while you can!

The hotel was so beautifully designed. The room was beautiful, the bed was comfortable, love the nespresso machine and tea kettle in the room. Everything was clean, quiet, the service was great, the location was great and i could have my meetings in the seating area in the lobby which was perfect. Would recommend and definitely come again

We truly enjoyed our stay at the Dylan Hotel. The staff was friendly and greeted us every evening and morning. They went above and beyond by not only storing our luggage, but then helping us walk it down to grand central station to flag down a cab!

However, I did encounter a significant issue that dampened my experience. Before making my reservation, I had a conversation with someone at the front desk who assured me that the construction was complete. Upon my arrival, it was clear that this was not the case, as there was still considerable construction work ongoing. As someone who runs a general contracting business, I couldn't help but notice several details in the bathrooms that could use improvement. I would recommend the hotel consider revisiting their contractor, as the finishing touches could elevate the space even further. On a more positive note, the staff at The Dylan were incredibly nice, welcoming, and warm. Their hospitality truly stood out and made a significant difference in my experience. As a New Yorker now living in Miami, it was lovely to feel that familiar warmth from my NYC family. In summary, while I appreciated the modern renovations and the exceptional service from the staff, I was left feeling a bit disappointed by the ongoing construction and some unfinished details. I hope that in the future, the hotel can fully realize its potential and provide a seamless experience for all its gue

very clean and convenient location to grand central! highly recommend. the only thing that makes me rate it a 4/5 is that I had to repeatedly remind the front desk to provide for x # of guests and they continued to not follow through with that. (ex. 2 sets of towels, etc when we needed more than that).

This is a little gem of a hotel in the middle of Manhattan, right by Grand Central and the Public Library. Really enjoyed staying here. The only issue was the heat in the room. The temp was 80 degrees and couldn't be turned down, so I had to leave the windows cranked open all night. The hotel staff tried to help as much as possible, but they explained that, once the heat is on, it's on. I'll be back in the summer and plan to stay here again.
