Our absolute favorite hotel!!!

We had a fabulous stay at the Bowery Hotel and plan to return! They put so many thoughtful touches on the experience, we were so impressed. One of my favorite places in the city.

Check-In went well despite the tight lobby being extremely busy. The doormen worked very hard and were even more pleasant. Rodwin checked us in, the room was ready early, big plus. Linens were very nice and the bed was comfortable. Not as much street noise as I imagined. Our room must have been directly across from housekeeping storage. Lots of noise throughout the day. Furnishings were oh so tired. I suppose it added to the ambiance for The Bowery.

Gorgeous bathrooms, comfy bed and great view from my superior Queen room. Also a great and convenient location. Lobby bar is cosy and has a great atmosphere.

The staff was very helpful and they made an effort to help guests. This was a very positive thing about the hotel. I personally was disappointed with my room as I was assigned a room for handicapped people and the room was very dark. Very lively location.

Never got a text advising that room was ready and had to follow up on our own. One day the room was not made up by 5:00 pm and staff did not respond well.

Amazing start to finish!! Stunning room - the most comfortable bed ever!! Excellent room in the lobby bar and Gemma. Perfect location - just fantastic, highly recommend and will definitely stay again.

Lovely boutique hotel! Lots of unique touches such as cookies in the room, complimentary water, etc If you miss the complimentary coffee service (6 am - 8 am) it is more difficult than necessary to get a simple cup of coffee. Easier to walk down the street and get a cup.

It was very pretty and comfortable There were no facilities for coffee or tea in our room and when I sent down at 8:30 AM it was difficult to get them. I was told everything finished at 8. We just travelled all over NC, GA, and three areas in Florida. We live in PA. All of the hotels had water filling facilities and complimentary tea and coffee. Your staff seemed more interested in each other than the guests. No offer was made to help with luggage and no questions were asked upon checkout.

We spent one night at the hotel and made it a full Bowery experience - dinner at Gemma, drinks at the bar, and breakfast in the room. The hotel is beautiful and the bar has a great atmosphere. The rooms are small, but comfortable. We had a corner room with views in both directions and an amazing soaking tub! Generally, the staff were kind and the place is clearly trying, but it’s not ideal for people who don’t enjoy a vintage concept. For me, the room felt too stuffy and closed in. We requested a late checkout. The hotel did have available rooms, but they asked us to pay for a full extra night. We explained that we only needed a room for about 30 minutes to take a shower before our flight and even offered to pay a partial amount instead of the full nightly rate, but they refused.

Beautiful room, comfortable, clean, loved the small gym, location amazing ! 10/10 everything ! Even the small touches of boxed water, cookies, Marvis toothpaste to body wash etc - all great touches ! For years I have stayed at another 5 star hotel in the area and it has really gone down - I am moving all my business for myself and team here ! Thank you for a great stay! Nothing not to like but it would be great in the future if the spa Could include sauna and cold plunge or steam :) Would be amazing !

The location is wonderful. The staff is always very friendly. The elevators are remarkably slow. The beds could also use an upgrade. They seem very soft.

Best tv channel access I've ever had in a hotel. It was a delight; the bathroom was good size and room was nice. Re the shower-great except for slippery tiles and no safety bars to grip.

We spent three nights here and would definitely stay here again. The room was spacious and very comfortable. We also loved the bar and restaurant.

The king room was quite small and not much drawer space for clothes so if you are staying for longer than 3 days you need to book a larger room.

A bit pricey for a short stay but it's worth the money for the convenience and location to major restaurants and hotspots in NYC.

The minute you walk thru the doors the place is moody and lovely. Everything is immaculate and clean. The staff is friendly and helpful no matter what is needed. On Friday and Saturday nights it was tough to find a place to relax and have a drink because so many people who weren’t staying at the hotel occupied the place.

Amazing location. Cool vibes. Nice view from my 10th floor room. Comfortable bed. Nice and smiley staff. Vibey lobby and bar. Some furniture feels tired. Gym could use newer machines. A bit expensive for the overall offering.

The Bowery Hotel is a very nice property! Just not worth north of $700 a night kind of nice. The staff are excellent! Attached restaurant is excellent, Gemma. Perhaps they are going for a certain mood or ambience or energy conservation, but I don't like the low, low, low lighting in the hallways, especially in the 3 elevators. This hotel wins the odd low lighting award from me for the last 5 years. This is not safe for many. Rooms have plenty of lighting however. Myself and other guests were having to use our cell phone flashlight app to see the buttons in the elevator! 3 Elevators are small, but quick. Cookies brought to your room in the evening! Nice thick towels! Free coffee in the morning, but you better be an early riser, free coffee is only from 5 AM to 8 AM. Boo-hiss! Bowery you can do better, even Holiday Inn Exp' has much longer free coffee hours. The Bowery has greet beds, very nice soaps, and towels. Noise alert! It is NYC so you WILL hear sirens through most of the night. Free earplugs in the bathroom. Plenty of hot water in the shower or tub. Will I return? Yes, but only for special occasions and the close proximity to my daughter who lives nearby. Side note, look for the very unique cemetery/park that abuts the hotel, can't believe such private green space exist in NYC. A walled garden of sorts, very unique and not much used, no public access. I heard private events can be arranged in that beautiful area.

This hotel is a slice of heaven in the city. It cool and lively, but the rooms are nice and quiet. It's got the perfect combination of historic charm and modern touches. The staff is wonderful.

The front desk staff were friendly and helpful, to two weary travellers upon arrival The lobby bar was busy, we were encouraged to go there. But the staff there were either too busy or otherwise occupied to assist in a timely fashion.

The lobby area was very cold so my breakfast became cold quickly. As I was checking out, I had my suitcase and a carry bag, the man who was at the door opened up the 1st door inside the hotel,but did not offer to open the door leading to the outside. My hands were full.

However, if you have a desire for subtle luxury and intend to spend some time hibernating with your flame between indulging your impeccable taste via dining, shopping, and consuming once-private collections; book a room. The staff are some of the best I’ve encountered. Anywhere. The lobby is worthy of half a day of loafing. The room service affords 24 hour access to Gemma, the far above average restaurant next door. Hotels like The Bowery instill hope that NYC is still the city so nice they named it twice.

Staff went above and beyond to check me in early for my birthday and they also treating me to a bottle of champagne.

Staying at the Bowery was like stepping into the opulence from the past. It was just magnificent, from the setting in the 1900s of posh bar to the room service and located just in the right spot in lower Manhattan.

I feel like it's hard to say anything new about the Bowery but for what it's worth, it's truly a wonderful experience and excellent value. From the helpfulness of every staff member to the quality of the rooms to the fun bar, it's everything you could want. We stayed here while we were getting married and it's the perfect location. Treat yourself to this fantastic hotel!

The bed was comfortable and the city view fun. I thought the shower needed grab bars and the elevators were dim and slow -- my two negative comments.

Nice stay, hotel is probably due a soft facelift. Access route to gym could be improved

The East Village felt like home after a day of sightseeing. No tourists anyway only locals. Easy to get anywhere in Manhattan bus, walk or subway.

It would be so helpful if there were USB ports in the outlets or anywhere else in the room. Or, if not, maybe some outlet plugs that could be used with our USB’s. Just a thought.

The Bowery Hotel is a really beautiful building with charm and character. Everything modern in a charming package. I highly recommend.

Loved it. There was a crew at the desk 24/7, everyone was so friendly and helpful whenever we needed anything. We’ll definitely stay here again on our next NYC visit.

We return to the Bowery Hotel whenever we're in New York City. The staff are amazing and it really feels like home. Gemma restaurant is a cozy meeting place for breakfast with our family, and after dinner drinks in the lobby bar is always a treat. It's a special place!

Very charming hotel! Great location!

Perhaps there was too much hype for this hotel - but I thought it was fine but not great for the price. Plumbing is bad, room was clean but looked worn and main complaint was how noisy it is. Every night at 10 the bass would start thumping. Staff was friendly and professional.
