Reviews
Guests generally appreciate the spacious rooms and convenient location of the hotel, with staff often praised for their friendliness and helpfulness. However, some guests have complained about the slow elevator and the quality of the breakfast, with some finding it mediocre and the breakfast area small and cramped during busy times.

Great stay! Centrally located for our experience. Breakfast was ok.
- 4/5
The apartment was large and very comfortable. Staff were very friendly and helpful.
- 5/5
The room was very spacious for NYC and clean. We are a family of 5 which is why we chose this hotel. Good location just off Lexington. The front desk staff was really friendly, and we really enjoyed the breakfast. There were eggs, ham or sausage, bagels, pastries, fresh waffles, yogurt, cereal, oatmeal, coffee, juice, and milk. We really have no complaints and would highly recommend, especially for small groups or families.

Excellent
- 4/5
The size of the room enormous and allowed us to have a wonderful stay.
- 3/5
Great location, huge rooms (by NYC standards), and very helpful / friendly staff, but the website photos are not accurate. It is nowhere near as polished as it looks in the photos and needs some serious updating.
- 5/5
Great stay. Huuuuge spacious one bedroom apartment. Kitchen didn’t have much to cook with, so disappointed with that but couldn’t fault anything else. Comfy bathroom with soft towels. Great housekeeping. Comfy kind bed and pull out couch was comfy to sleep on for our children. Great linens. Highly recommend! Very central! Easy access to get around Manhattan and to other boroughs via subway. Super friendly and helpful staff. Great breakfasts. Shame the coffee machine didn’t make hot chocolates or cappuccinos but we made do!
- 4.5/5
The staff were very kind and professional, especially at reception and during breakfast. The hotel was clean and in a superb location. The room temperature was difficult to regulate, occasionally making the room uncomfortably cold.
- 5/5
Staff was super friendly. Breakfast was great walking distance to all the sites.
- 5/5
The staff was excellent, offering support for a family member with special needs and guidance for places to eat nearby etc. Warm greetings and holding our luggage until official check in time were welcome after travelling into the city. The room was beyond our expectations in terms of space, and it was very clean. The one area I hope the hotel can improve/update soon is the cooling system that they currently have in place. If individual units are the choice, then perhaps new ones or splits. At least two rooms in the suite were either too warm or too cool. One slight issue that just comes with a nice hotel that is so small is the size of the elevator, and the wait time that comes with it. Those who are able can take the stairs of course, but the higher the floor, the more challening that may be. Overall, we loved it, and plan to return to the Bayardregularly for our family stays in NYC.
- 5/5
This was the perfect hotel for families. Rooms were spacious and having a place to eat was so helpful. Staff were kind and helpful. The breakfast was great! Would definitely stay here again!
- 5/5
Hotel was a great location, easy access to the subway, and walking distance to grand central, Rockefeller, and 5th ave shopping. The pullout couch worked for our 2 kids, and having a separate bedroom was nice for a multi-night stay. Free breakfast was nice to have, but the hot food wasn’t hot. Front desk was helpful and friendly. If we take another trip to NY as a family, I’d stay here again.
- 5/5
The apartment was large and roomy. Everything was clean. Hotel centrally located.
- 4/5
The best part about the Bayard was by far the staff. Friendly, helpful, and patient with all of our questions. Great walking distance to popular attractions and great local food nearby. Plenty of space for my family of four. I saw a lot of others reference the elevator but it worked perfectly fine for us during our stay. My only complaints are the breakfast I did see a C rating and I believe that could be due to the small area of the parlor and the buffet style breakfast. Other than that I loved it and would stay here again.
- 3/5
Breakfast is not edible because the eggs taste like rubber, and their food inspection grade is “C”. Ask Gemini! It will tell you not to touch the food. All I had was coffee and water from the cafeteria. This hotel doesn’t have a gym. False advertisement. They should fix this. Now I want to talk about the pros. The location is unbeatable. You can walk to the main attractions in the city. Everything is within a few blocks of the hotel. And having so much space was a big plus.
- 5/5
The property was in a great location. We had a two bedroom and it was plenty of space for the five of us.

Very convenient location right in the heart of NY city!

Very good price for big apartment in center of manhattan. AC was not working.

Wonderful staff. Very clean and spacious. Great location. Would definitely recommend this hotel!

Rooms were huge!
- 5/5
It was a great stay for a day in the city.
- 5/5
Great stay - nice apartment but in a hotel - we will be back
- 4/5
Super comfortable bed, well-located hotel in mid-town. The building itself is pretty old - we enjoyed our stay but the blinds in the bedroom didn’t go up so it felt a little claustrophobic.
- 5/5
I loved everything about my stay! The rooms were well sized, the location was great and the staff were very friendly!!
- 4/5
Excellent location, very friendly staff, spacious, comfortable beds. It needs updated and a variety of kitchen’s utensils, stovetop needs to be updated.
- 5/5
Huge room in a fantastic area. Staff was amazing. The room was not fancy, but it was big and comfortable. Best room I’ve booked in NYC at this price point.
- 4/5
We really enjoyed staying here, but unfortunately, we probably won’t again because initially at check in they said only four people were allowed per room, even though our fifth person was an infant. They let us stay anyways, which is very nice. The breakfast was a nice perk too. elevator broke on the second day so walking up/down stairs with stroller, suitcases etc. was a little tricky.
- 3/5
Ordinary in all areas
- 2/5
The elevator was broken the entire stay we had to climb 7 floors up and down for 3 nights with two small kids
- 5/5
Entire staff was very hospitable (especially Justin and Henry) and very helpful. Really enjoyed our stay.
- 5/5
Fresh breakfast
- 4/5
My only complaint was that the elevator didn’t work on two different occasions. The first time the elevator was out of service I received an email notifying us. That was nice. It didn’t really matter since we were out and by the time we got back, it was operational. The second time the elevator didn’t work, I did not get an email and we got back after midnight on Saturday and had to walk up to our room. We were on the 6th floor. On Sunday morning, the elevator still was not fixed. And by noon when we were leaving it was still not working. It’s rough maneuvering the stairs with luggage. It would be nice if there was an extra elevator. All in all, it was a nice place to stay. I just hope the elevator doesn’t go out.
- 5/5
Highly recommend!!
- 3/5
Loved the room, staff was very friendly and helpful. The elevator broke our first night. After walking all day in the city it was very horrible to find out the elevator broke and had to walk up to the 8th floor. We stayed 2 days and it never got fixed. I would love to stay here again, but after reading other peoples experience with the elevator i see its a constant issue and wont risk it a second time.

This hotel is so lovely and especially perfect if you're travelling with kids. The option to be able to stay in an apartment style room instead of trying to juggle staying in multiple hotel rooms is a life saver on vacation. The rooms themselves are spacious and well maintained and really feel like a New York apartment. They aren't glamorous, but they are very comfortable and everything was functional and clean. There is a free continental breakfast, which is a great option if you're tired of paying for everything. The hotel is also in a very convenient spot, with a lot of food options and the restaurant right downstairs, subways very close and so much to do right within a short walk. The best thing about this spot is the staff-- they are all so incredibly pleasant and helpful. We were able to drop our bags off early and were even offered an early check in and then were able to leave our bags in storage after our check out. I can't speak highly enough about what a great experience they gave us.
- 5/5
great property close to everything and great staff
- 5/5
Location, breakfast, cleanliness Beds a bit uncomfortable. Wall sockets looked a bit dodgy/falling out of wall in places
- 4.5/5
If you are after a hotel within easy walking distance of the main attractions, subway stations and various food outlets then this is your place. The apartments are great for a family due to the amount of space you get, privacy and a safe neighbourhood. The breakfast is free and enough to set you up for the day. We went in the breakfast room at various times and always got a table straight away. There are some hot choices as well as fruit, cereal, bagels and pastries etc. The staff are friendly and helpful. The lift is not huge but we had no problems and 8/10 times the only ones in it. The stairs are fine if you are on the lower floors. I would recommend this hotel to anyone that wants convenience, space, flexibility and a relaxed environment. In the 2nd bedroom either thicker curtains or black out blinds would be an improvement. You do get some street sounds but it is New York! Booking early and asking for a rear room could alleviate this.

Great location and very large rooms. Plenty of space for our family of 4 (2 adults and 2 teenagers). The weather was quite warm when we stayed and they put in AC units which was helpful. The breakfast was very good. Staff were very friendly and professional.

The Bayard is a gem! Perfectly located so many things are walking distance. The rooms are clean, spacious with comfy beds and full kitchens. The rooms more than make up for the lack of room service and teeny tiny elevator. Would definitely stay again!!

- 4/5
Staff was great, room was good, breakfast was good. Hotel had no outdoor space (photos were misleading) and no AC but very good deal overall
- 4.5/5
The rooms were warm at night and we had to open the windows to cool things off. Once the windows were open, we got the noise of the city which was unfortunate.
- 4.5/5
The main reason I booked this hotel was the size of the rooms. I was with 5 adults and we had plenty of room to sleep and visit. It was exactly what I hoped for. Also, the beds were very comfortable. We were close to many subway lines and were able to get around the city easily. The rooms were warm at night and we had to open the windows to cool things off. Once the windows were open, we got the noise of the city which was unfortunate.

Nice spacious apartment

Had a bad experience went to NY to visit for the Holidays and the hotel had no water , had to shower with buckets. Horrible experience.

- 5/5
I got a 2 bedroom apartment and Id say it was a great place. Couldnt expect more in the price I paid in that centre of city. Staff were welcoming and helpful. Got free luggage storage before and after checkin check out. Morning breakfast good too. Lift can get busy and small sometimes but stairs will be there. No complaints.
- 4/5
The hotel was nice, not what the pictures portray at all. It was much smaller than we thought. The breakfast room was very small. The kitchen in our room was not well stocked. It had exactly 5 plates and 5 utensils. The pans were adequate, the rest of the cookware was not. The bedding and beds were adequate. The physical state of the room was old, bare minimum cosmetic work was done but issues were visible. The closet door in the bathroom was visibly damaged by water but painted over to try and cover it.
- 5/5
Amazing stay. Staff went above and beyond and the location was central to everything. Surpassed my expectations, great value!
- 5/5
The kitchen was very adequate.

This is a hidden gem in Manhattan. Our family of two adults and three teens had plenty of space to spread out after exploring the city. The staff was very kind and accommodating when we needed to drop our baggage before check in.

Very central location! Room was ok. Kitchen was quite basic but it was good enough for us ( we had two different rooms for a family) We had a water shortcut during 2 days (out of 12 days) , 18 and 3 hours Rooms and lobby were too hot and staff explained us they can't adjust the temperature Window in our rooms were kind of broken and it was difficult to open/close them (for escaping from the "sauna" feeling) Breakfast was very "american" style and we didn't appreciate it.
- 1/5
The location. Very central We had a total water shortcut for two days ( about 18 hours and another 3 hours, between Christmas and new year eve ) . No shower, no toilet, only few mineral water bottles... The staff didn't show any great concern about it and it was very (VERY) frustrating Rooms and lobby were too hot. They argued they can't adjust the temperature. Windows in our rooms were kind of broken and we couldn't easily close and open them for adjusting the temperature . Breakfast was really not our taste ( we prefer continental breakfast). But also, the cafe machine was partially broken and chocolate drink was missing most of our stay .

No real view. Good price for the area for sure. It’s a Best Western Parading as a niche hotel in manhattan. The room size is spectacular. Fit and finish leaves little to be desired. Overall for a come and go place while exploring the city on a budget it’s a great fit. If you are looking for an upscale experience this isn’t the place. I’m willing say for me…. The area is perfect. It’s within walking distance to everything the city has to offer. The area is quiet and the amenities make up for the age or “lip stick on a pig” vainer the rooms and hotel exterior offer. The complementary breakfast is a nice added touch however the options are extremely limited so unless you want mini pastries and children’s sized cups of OJ I’d suggest a local restaurant in the area. I will say the hotel is located in between two fantastic restaurants. Toscana 49 and ABIATA. If you are a first timer like I was this hotel was a perfect stepping stone into seeing just want the city has to offer and also into seeing what you are truly missing. Located literally steps from the Waldorf Astoria it’s almost as if two worlds collide. Stay at this hotel and walk 3 minutes up 49th….you’ll understand what I mean. Honestly for the price and what was offered. It was a great option for a family like mine to experience the city. I would have hoped for more luxury but as they say. You get what you pay for and With the Bayard I’d venture to say you get a little more. Happy travels.
- 5/5
The overall customer service and attitudes of the staff.
- 4/5
It was really exceptional: Space, service, amenities, location. The only thing that keeps this from a five star rating was the temperature of the rooms. There was no way to alter the temp, which was 80+ degrees in the room. The hotel said they would look into it but it didn’t change. We had to crack the windows which let the road noise in. Loved everything else though!
- 5/5
Such helpful people. What a great experience we had..
- 5/5
Amazing location!
- 5/5
We have just returned from a fantastic stay at The Bayard. We were allowed into the room about 3 hours early which was nice after a long journey from UK. Rooms were spacious and comfortable, we ended up staying in 2 rooms - 2 bedroom and 1 bedroom - as our flight was cancelled due to the snow. The staff was very friendly and accommodating with finding us a room for 2 more nights at short notice and we were really thankful of that. We enjoyed the free breakfasts, had really good selections, my daughter loved the waffles . For us, the location in midtown Manhattan was ideal base for exploring New York. Would highly recommend and would love to come back in the future.
- 5/5
Breakfast was great. Buffet style. Coffee, juices, hot chocolate. It was nice to be able to get some food before going out exploring.
- 1/5
This hotel is pathetic. NYC gets 30 inches of snow, state of emergency declared, order to stay off the roads and my flight was cancelled. They would not refund my two night stay even though no one could get there. I don’t want to hear about I could have bought the travel insurance” because this is highly unethical and illegal. I’ve filed a complaint with the Consumer Financial Protection Board as well as two state agencies. It’s like charging $10 a gallon for gas in a hurricane evacuation. Pathetic.

Excellent NYC find, perfect location to explore city by foot or easy uber p/u. Cute breakfast room, serving generous daily selection of yummy staples. Pleasant and courteous front desk and staff. We stayed in the 2bedroom, Penthouse - Very large NYC apartment with wrap around private balcony, a true gem of a stay. Highly recommended for a low-key comfortable NYC experience.

The room was clean. An unexplained Urban Fee was charged. Saw other customers complain about the fee as well. The only elevator broke down while staying here.

Room was very nice and clean can use upgrade on heater unit and other things but over all very nice. Staff were excellent. very helpful. thanks Jose.
- 5/5
The "family" room is spacious with a great kitchen, comfortable beds, and lovely amenities. Our group of six loved the breakfasts too. Special thanks to Maria at the front desk for her warm welcome and attention to detail. The location was optimal because it's close to the subway and an easy walk to Times Square and theaters. We will be back!
- 5/5
My family had the deluxe two bedroom apartment/ hotel room, and it was just more than comfortable. You have a lot of space to move about and individual spaces for personal time. They have a beautiful kitchen packed with dishes, utensils and useful cooking equipment. Its spacious, bathroom very clean, hotel warmth is superb especially for the winter season where it drops -10 degree celsius. Overall, highly recommend one stay here, the breakfast service was substantial but could include a little more variety. In addition, one also receives a hamper full of goodies on the day they check into the hotel. Staff are very friendly and helpful in all ways, providing nothing but the best service. Linen and room service replenish the room brand new, stocking fresh towels and sheets. Will come here again.
- 5/5
Great location. Spacious rooms. Excellent value
- 4/5
Everything is good and clean
- 5/5
Best location, enough space, and good breakfast. I will come back again.
- 5/5
Clean, spacious rooms. Comfortable beds. Kind and helpful staff. A great jumping off point for midtown.
- 5/5
From the time we arrived to check-out time everything was great. Jose at check-in was great, he was able to give us early check-in since our flight arrived at 8:30am. The room was big, clean and very comfortable. The breakfast was simple but very delicious. The location was great too. I do have to say that the only downfall was the fact that this property only has 1 elevator and one of our nights it wasn't working, we had the 8th floor, but a would definitely stay here again.
- 5/5
My apartment was very nice size and clean! The breakfast was awesome with a good selection. I will definitely be back

There were heating and plumbing issues. The manager worked to fix the issue and was very accommodating. It was not neglect of the building, the city was working on water lines that impacted every business on the street.
- 1/5
Overall, it was a terrible experience.
- 3/5
Breakfast was nasty. They had limited food options and the server didn’t allow you to pour your own syrup. Everything was hidden and locked away. Very limited and stingy
- 4/5
Everything was great!
- 5/5
Clean apartment in very good location , good breakfast and very good people manning the front desk. I also extended my stay and they managed to keep me in same room which was really helpful.
- 4/5
Location was central, Breakfast was lovely- good variety fresh and warm. Staff were very friendly and helpful they kept our luggage on the last day as we had a late flight home. The room was clean and spacious and was nice to bring food and drinks back at the end of a long day sightseeing and to chill on sofa. It was freezing in New York when we were there and the bedrooms were cold, the wind was blowing in through gaps in the windows. It was fine when you got into bed and under covers with a sweater on.
- 4/5
My only concern was with a broken window in our room that allowed a cold draft and a lot of external noise from the street.
- 5/5
Beautiful, spacious rooms with cozy bedding and full kitchens. Location is centric to times square, rockefeller and grand central. Front desk staff was accesible and friendly, no one stands out any more than the rest; they were all excellent!
- 5/5
Great location! Friendly staff!
- 2/5
Room was so hot like 90 degrees. Couldn't sleep, refrigerator did not work and remotes for TV also did not work. Staff was friendly. Breakfast is free, not that good.
- 5/5
Room was clean, too hot, couldn’t find a thermostat, couldn’t figure out how to turn ice maker on. Only there one night so didn’t bother asking these questiins
- 5/5
Great location and the neighborhood is quiet
- 3/5
I would stay here again but I read it had been renovated and I am unsure it has been. I don’t have any complaints. Everyone was ok and we had some hiccups that I feel were out of anyone’s control and the price is NYC at Christmas. Just a lot of money regardless where we would have stayed. It worked for 5 of us and again, depending on other hotel availability…I would stay here again. No complaints. It’s a solid 3 star hotel. Perhaps make the queen that has an en suite bathroom into a king rather than having two queens beds in the PH. Just a suggestion.
- 5/5
Clean room.
- 5/5
I was hesitant about the location, but it turned out to be the best option. We were close enough to the action, but far enough away as well to have a quiet sanctuary from the busyness of the city. We started off with a bit of a rough start, but the team at the Bayard went above and beyond to work with my family to ensure the best stay possible. I would definitely stay there again.
- 5/5
Perfect place close to all locations. Super clean and friendly staff. They even gave complimentary snacks, drinks and toiletries. Would definitely book again.
- 1.5/5
The free breakfast didn't have everything. Hot chocolate machine was down. Waffle machine was broken the entire time. Bathroom tub was rusted out. Elevator was being worked on in the midst of a high traffic evening. For the price we pay, this should have been corrected. The free breakfast didn't have everything. Hot chocolate machine was down. Absolutely wonderful! Our suite was remarkably spacious, well-appointed, and clean. The staff was friendly, helpful, and personable. I was particularly impressed with the complimentary coffees and hot chocolates. The rooms were comfortable and the location was ideal. I highly recommend the Bayard!
- 4/5
Très bon emplacement, de grandes chambres familiales avec un personnel attentif.
- 5/5
This was a great experience from beginning to end. The room was very clean and exactly as pictured, and the front desk associates were beyond helpful and nice, especially the woman who was there for most of our stay. I forgot to ask her name, but I do know she has a teen daughter like I do and was just an absolute gem from the moment we walked in. She even brought my daughter some candy for her birthday as we were getting on the elevator because I'd mentioned we were there to celebrate. I will definitely be staying at The Bayard again and recommending it to anyone looking for a place to stay in NYC with a great location, plenty of room, and a wonderful staff!
- 5/5
The room was great, staff were wonderful. I would definitely stay here again.
- 4/5
Very friendly welcome, a real NY “home” feel to staying at the Bayard Hotel. Rooms are spacious with everything you need including premier linens/bedding and delicious snacks in the kitchen.
- 2/5
A member of the staff tried to enter my room at 1:44 am, without even knocking first. I phoned the front desk and they apologized and said the reason was that I was in the wrong room so they thought it wasn't occupied. In the morning when I went to report this to reception the woman working there said it couldn't have happened. No apology just complete denial. This is the second time this has happened to me at this hotel. Honestly, it feels unsafe and I would not recommend it to anyone.
- 4/5
Staff was great.

Large apartment style room Location was good but not ideal
- 5/5
My daughters slept on the pull out couch, which was pretty comfortable. The linens were high quality. The location is very convenient and close to many destinations. The staff very friendly. It was great having a pizzeria next door. We plan on staying at the Bayard for any future NYC trips.
- 5/5
Great place to stay - much larger than expected. Staff was very friendly and accommodating, good location. No complaints.
- 4/5
We got an apartment on the 9th floor. The location was excellent. The price was high compared to what we got, but New York is very expensive. We checked in at 1 AM and received a very warm welcome from the staff. Unfortunately, there are neighboring buildings, so there’s no view. The breakfast wasn’t abundant, especially lacking in vegetables.
- 4/5
Breakfast was included and great with hot and cold options. Great coffee machine. Maricella at the front desk was wonderful, helpful and friendly. Parking was confusing. We had to walk back and forth to get a validation that the garage accepted but this was a new system and the front desk person that day hadn't made much effort to figure it out.
- 5/5
Customer service was fantastic, especially Destiny upon arrival and throughout our stay. She made us and especially our 3 year old feel like the most important guests! Credit to the Hotel. Facilities felt new, great location away from hustle/bustle but close to walk to a lot of things. Breakfast was super with staff always on hand to refill anything or cook fresh waffles as well as a espresso machine available 24/7. Suite was essentially an 1 BR apartment with seperate room, living, bathroom and kitchen. Great amount of space!
- 4/5
Clean and spacious with a nice kitchen. The bed was very comfortable.
- 4/5
The location is great only a few minutes walking from the Time Square Breakfast is average The facilities are old

Great location and lovely staff. Breakfast could be better.

After many visits to Manhattan over the years, we were looking for a spacious apartment in a central yet quiet location and that’s exactly what we got. The hotel is located on East 49th Street at Lexington Avenue. The rooms are huge, impressively clean, and include a large kitchen with everything you need. The air conditioning works great, and although the room isn’t brand new, it’s in excellent condition. There’s complimentary coffee from a machine (including excellent espresso) available 24/7. The staff is friendly and quick to solve any issue. There’s no elevator crowding, and even laundry facilities are available for a fee. A perfect vacation for anyone wanting to experience what it feels like to live in the city—even as a tourist. Highly recommended! Everything was awesome!
- 5/5
Room was great, wished we were here more than a night
- 3/5
Excellent location and well maintained property
- 5/5
wrap-around porch was awesome! Enough room for my family to relax and enjoy.
- 4/5
Appartement was spacious and the bed was very comfortable Bathroom was old. Breakfast was oke, but very tiny space. Every morning you had to wait for a table....
- 3.5/5
Room is massive for New York standards, the location is excellent and the staff are helpful. Rooms are old, air conditioners worked well but were extremely loud and impacted sleeping. The 1 lift was unreliable and often out of service during our stay.
- 4/5
I enjoyed the stay in the apartment despite lift not working for a short period. The staff were helpful and the breakfast was good. Will stay again!

Great location for midtown and Broadway shows. Our room was gigantic for NYC and had separate rooms for family members. The front desk and breakfast staff were exceptionally welcoming and helpful. It was way, way beyond our expectations! The elevator broke for one night - can’t be helped but could be a problem from people on high floors or for accessibility.
- 1/5
No water in the bath for the majority of our stay! No breakfast was available during breakfast hours. They said it was first come, first serve!
- 5/5
Great staff, location was fantastic and the apartment was so spacious. It had everything you wanted. Would definitely stay there again
- 5/5
Very clean!
- 3/5
Room downgraded a few days before arrival with no real explanation. Room quite tired also.
- 5/5
Large rooms why plenty of space for family, staff was helpful
- 5/5
Great location. Friendly staff. Room was excellent for our family of five.
- 5/5
Absolutely PERFECT for our family of 5! Also perfect location. I’ve been to NYC several times and this is by far the biggest space I’ve stayed in.
- 5/5
Stayed four nights with my family of 5 (that included two adults, one young adult, and two teenagers) and the two bedroom sweet was perfect! The area felt safe and it was well located near several subway lines (including the subway line from LaGuardia). The staff were also very nice and the hotel was clean and nicely maintained. The spacious two bedroom suite gave everyone space to relax, get ready for the day, and sleep comfortably. I would definitely stay again.
- 5/5
Great spot for our family to unwind away from the crowds of Rock center and Times Square. Everything we needed was within 1-2 blocks- subway, groceries, NY bagels and all of NY at our doorstep. So glad a fiend told us about this gem!
- 4/5
Friendly staff ! Love mini kitchen and apartment style hotel. Spacious rooms. Bed sheets were not the cleanest. Old building not good cable selection , no smart TVs. One elevator for 8 floors very tight could not fit luggage rack in. A hassle waiting for it daily.
- 5/5
This place is amazing! What a fantastic deal for a family of 6 to be safe and comfortable in NYC. The location couldn’t have been any better, this is a hidden gem. The rooms are older but they are clean and comfortable. The staff was absolutely amazing and so accommodating. The breakfast had a variety of eggs, sausage, potatoes, toast, bagels, waffles, cereal, pastries, juices, yogurt and fruit. The coffee/hot chocolate machine was available 24/7. 2 blocks to Subway station and about 3 blocks to Grand Central Station. 10 minute walk to Rockefeller Center. Will definitely be back.
- 5/5
Great find. Booked last minute so I didnt know what to expect, but it turned out perfect for us. Spacious and clean, comfortable for my family and awesome location.
- 5/5
The property is old, but it is clean and SPACIOUS! We booked one of the penthouses on the top, and it had a full kitchen, 2 bathrooms, 2 bedrooms, a dining area, a living room, and a private terrace. 10 minutes walk to Times Square.
- 5/5
Everyone was so helpful. The apartment was spacious, but cozy for our family to hang out and enjoy each other even back at the hotel.
- 5/5
We liked it as our home base.
- 5/5
Hotel staff are DYNAMIC! I have never had people do so much to make sure we had a good visit. The apartment was super clean and we totally appreciated the snacks. The breakfast was so much more than we expected. They even accommodated special dietary needs. We will never stay anywhere else going forward.
- 5/5
It was perfect for the trip
- 5/5
Every staff member we encountered was outstanding! Very friendly and helpful. The accommodations were comparable to a 2 bedroom apartment, and were comfortable and clean. The location was ideal for exploring and walkable (within a mile or two) to Fifth Avenue, Central Park, Times Square etc. We plan to book this property the next time we return to NYC.
- 5/5
The room look the same as pictures. Very good location, walking distance to subway, food place, 24h supermarket and to Times Sq area. Room is very big for NYC standard. Furniture abit old yet is clean. Room abit dark due to lighting & dark huge furnitures. The breakfast place is abit headache, the cafe is so tiny, crowded and not much food. Good point was they allowed us to collect our food and eat in our room. Overall was a good experience.
- 5/5
Everything was great. But it was a security charge of 250.- that they said it will take a month for the bank to put it back on my bank witch I thing is super dirty and bad from the company to used my money for a whole month. 😡😡😡😡
- 5/5
The staff could not be more friendly and helpful. The morning breakfast was very convenient and helped save a little cash in this pricey world we live in. The room was perfect for a large group and easily accessible to all our adult children. I would not hesitate to stay here again and would highly recommend it to others!
- 4/5
Basic breakfast worked well for us and the staff were all friendly and helpful. There is only a single lift / elevator (which was broken for a day), but was a great stay.
- 5/5
Practical, nice, spacious.
- 5/5
Hotel is located in the centre of Manhattan and New York's use of street numbering made it relatively easy to find. Nearest subway is circa 3 minutes away (51st St) and Grand Central is 10 minutes away (more connections), Time Squire is 20 minutes away. Pleasantly surprises about breakfast, limited choice but the food was fresh and staff very helpful. Also limited seating which can be a problem at busy times. The main drawback was being unable to open the windows & curtains, room enclosed on all sides externally and no natural light.
- 4/5
A little bit old but overall good for familiies
- 4/5
Very large apartment, 2 bedrooms, living room & dinning room combo with full kitchen including dishwasher. Basic plates, silverware, cups and silverware with a frying pan are supplied in the apartment. There is a great breakfast every morning in a tight area but you can always go back to your apartment for a little more privacy and quiet.
- 5/5
The staff at the front desk were helpful and always accommodating. We will be back.
- 5/5
Viajamos en grupo de familia y amigos, y la experiencia en el hotel fue excelente. Muy limpias las habitaciones, excelente atencion y el plus desayuno incluido.
- 3/5
Staff was very friendly. Good space and bedrooms were set up nicely but there are so many spaces that could be cleaned properly. For the money being charged, BW can do better. There is a reason why I stick with Marriot Hotels and its standards. Never again will I try another brand of hotel.
- 4/5
Big units. Kitchens. In NYC for a reasonable price.
- 5/5
I’ve lived in apts smaller than our two bedroom unit. Huge by NYC standards has a dining room table for six a full kitchen we just loved it very convenient to Grand Central terminal, Central Park, etc.
- 5/5
The apartment was great. Beds were comfortable and clean. Rooms were huge. The complimentary basket waiting in the room was unexpected and very nice. The lady who checked us in was very sweet and all the other staff was nice too. No complaints at all.
- 5/5
Great stay! Excellent location staff was wonderful!!
- 5/5
The staff were very welcoming, friendly and helpful. We would definitely go back again.
- 5/5
Great place for a family to stay. Kids loved the breakfast and the suite had plenty of room to spread out. Staff was very friendly. Wish that they had recycling options and food composting. Location very convenient for lots of NYC attractions!
- 5/5
Staff was excellent in all areas. Very helpful and kind. Wonderful location and very comfortable rooms with a lot of space. Also very clean rooms supplied with many towels. Thank You for making our trip to visit our daughter so enjoyable.
- 5/5
We had a suite type like a little apartment, really comfortable.
- 2/5
The hotel looks good in the pictures. In person it's very dated. There is no heater in the rooms, only some sort of central building heating that barely works. I would have never even assumed a hotel room does not have a heater in it. Microwave and stove barely worked. Most of the staff seem bothered if asked for anything (except the young girl receptionist, I forgot her name but she was very nice and greated us all the time). Asked multiple times for extra towels, they brought 2 for 3 people for 5 days. Asked multiple times to refill soap in shower, it never got filled, they finally came with a basic bar of soap. For my dinner I needed hot sauce, I asked them if I can have some they said they don't have hot sauce, when they do, they have it in the breakfast area, but didn't want to take the extra step to give me some. The breakfast was mediocre at best. The eggs and sausage are very water downed. The waffles are very good though but the breakfast attendant also was very flustered when trying to get help because we didn't know how to use the machine and made a little mess. The workers kept asking how many people I have in the room, I paid for 3, always had 3. Shouldn't have to keep explaining why we choose to eat at different time or want a fresh towel to dry off after taking a shower. Overall for a hotel they just need to be more nice and accommodating.
- 5/5
Great location accessible to the major sites and hotel breakfast was a great start to spending the day out and about. Will def book again next time we visit
- 5/5
Great Hotel for families, great location, everything clean and organized. Breakfast included great plus!
- 5/5
It was a vert spacy apartment with plenty of room for all of us. It was very clean and the bed was comfortable. The staff was friendly and helpful. You are close to Grand central station which makes getting around easy. Definitely check out the grand central market! Fresh food and snacks. would definitely book again.
- 5/5
Best deal for the money in Manhattan. Its not fancy but you get an apartment for the price of a regular hotel room.
- 5/5
We had the BEST time. Perfect for our family of 5. I cannot say enough great things about the friendly staff. NYC was intimidating, but they made us feel right at home. So convenient. We walked everywhere. Yummy pizza right next door was an added bonus. Highly recommend!
- 5/5
Easy access, big room, perfect location
- 5/5
Wonderful time - room was very spacious!
- 5/5
Hospitality house was perfect for our family get together this Thanksgiving. The apartments are roomy and the large, full kitchen was great.
- 5/5
As expected. Great property for our family needs.
- 5/5
The rooms were great- very large and allowed for our group to stay together. The breakfast offered a wide variety to choose from. The property has easy access to walk/subway To attractions - but is far enough away from the noise to feel relaxing. The staff was extremely helpful! I would recommend.
- 5/5
Our family of 6 stayed at this hotel on our recent trip to NYC. We were very happy with the hotel. It had so much room for us to spread out. We liked the quiet neighborhood and felt safe walking at night.
- 5/5
Staff were so helpful! Loved the breakfast bar every morning! We had a full kitchen in our room and it was so nice to have actual dishes to use for our meals. My wife and I had our own room while the kids slept on the sofa bed in the next room. Felt like a home away from home. Easily walkable to nearest subway station, Time Square, Grand Central, Broadway shows, and Rockefeller Center, even with two kids. Would stay here again without hesitation.
- 5/5
This was a great hotel in a very convenient location! The kitchen, living and 2 bedrooms gave us lots of space for our family. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The included breakfast was great with cereal, waffles, eggs, bacon/sausage, and yogurt. It was also close to many attractions and the subway. Off-site parking was also very close by. I highly recommend this hotel.
- 5/5
Excellent, no complaints
- 5/5
First time in NYC and would definitely stay here again. Great apartment style layout. The 5 of us had plenty of space and weren’t tripping all over each other. We were walking distance to so many attractions. The complimentary breakfast was a great bonus. The only knock would be the view and the window blinds in our apartment which barely moved and darkened the space. But you don’t come to NYC to stay inside all day, so no biggie. Overall, an excellent experience.
- 5/5
The bedrooms and living room are spacious. The location is great to see broadway show and to visit museums. The complementary breakfast is also a plus.
- 4/5
We would definetly stay here again if we come with the family as it as more room than a typical NYC hotel room and the kitchen really helps with having kids who want to eat all the time.
- 5/5
Staff is great always willing to help.
- 5/5
The living room and bedroom each had its own window unit - LOVE!! I was able to get my room down to the arctic temps that my southern self is used to. Breakfast was great - there is dry cereal, oatmeal packets, make your own waffles & pancakes, an assortment of pastries/muffins/donuts, bread and bagels with a toaster, a mini fridge stocked with yogurts and hard boiled eggs, toppings for yogurt, spreads for the breads, fruit, and hot options (eggs, sausage, potatoes). There's a drink machine for juices/water and a machine that makes coffee/espresso/hot chocolate. The only negatives I have are that the property is older so expect it not to be new and modern, but it was clean so that trumps modern in my book. There is only one elevator, and it is slow. My daughter and I utilized the stairs even though we were on the 6th floor it was doable multiple times a day. Bathroom has no vent - I just opened the window to vent the steam when showering. Breakfast area is small and gets very crowded but there are trays if you would prefer to bring your food up to your room! A great value in the city! Subway was 2 blocks away and there are 3 restaurants on either side that are convenient to go to!
- 5/5
Staff were great. Well maintained older building. Elevator was slow but operational.
- 5/5
Very convenient location. Close enough to walk to many places, such as Central Park, St. Patrick’s Cathedral, Times Square, etc.
- 5/5
Thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. Well maintained/decorated unit with wood floors. Delicious breakfast, welcoming and friendly staff.
- 5/5
Great location, walking distance to subways and fifth avenue shopping. Great service from front desk.
- 5/5
Great hotel within walking distance of Broadway and most things we wanted to see. It was a bit pricey but it was also basically a two bedroom apartment and worked well for my family.
- 5/5
We love staying here. It feels like home. Staff is so friendly and helpful.
- 5/5
Perfect place for a family of 5. Every place in mid Manhattan is 5 to 20 mins away on foot. I would definitely return to this place. The continental breakfast was outstanding.
- 5/5
Great location, safe clean property and area. Just needs a gym. Very pleased with the price of parking!
- 5/5
Unique - it was an apartment! Every room was big and in great condition. The breakfast was very nice and the attendant very kind. Loved the all day coffee/hot chocolate.
- 5/5
All exellent thanks a Lott
- 5/5
Great stay so far but not enough heat.
- 5/5
We loved our stay! Our room fit the six of us comfortably with plenty of room left over for luggage. Good location and the breakfast was a bonus!
- 5/5
Beautiful apartment and location. Very helpful staff!!!!
- 5/5
Great location
- 4/5
It’s more like a NYC apartment than a hotel, and that’s why I love it.
- 4/5
I have stayed here before and enjoyed the experience- which is why i came back. This goes for the suites. Dont book the one non suite Queen room. There is only one, and it's the only room on the first floor and SUPER LOUD.
- 4/5
I really liked that our room was like an apartment. Very cozy. I loved the original old narrow hardwood floors.
- 5/5
All the staff were wonderful, kind, helpful and professional I would definitely return and I would recommend to all my friends and family. Well done to all at the hospitality house
- 1/5
The hotel gave our room away that had 4 beds go us and our children and have us a room with 2 beds and a roll away bed
- 5/5
The staff was amazing, very helpful and the room was fantastic. It was an apartment instead of your traditional hotel room and we had so much space which really helped with two teenagers. The bed was comfortable and the area was quiet.
- 5/5
Excellent value located in a great part of town. Very helpful staff and very roomy suite!
- 4/5
This hospitality house had great, efficient friendly staff, from check-in to breakfast & to housekeeping. We love Best Western due to the inclusive breakfast because we don't have to go out for it. I also helped to have breakfast for the kids as well.
- 5/5
This hotel offers breakfast, and the rooms are large, for families, and the location is walking distance, or a few subway stops from most of the popular places in Manhattan.
- 4/5
I stayed here for a week with my husband & 2 kids. It was very clean, and was completely stocked with everything we needed for our stay. Super spacious, as big as an apartment. Everything went well, except for the air conditioner in the bdrm. It was so loud it would wake me & my hubby up every night. It was pretty frustrating at time. Honestly if it weren't for that I'd give this place 10.
- 5/5
Large clean rooms in a convenient location within walking distance to many attractions. Breakfast included, plus well equipped kitchens if you wanted to save money and prepare/cook lunch and/or dinner. A supermarket was five minutes walk away plus a reasonably priced pizzaria next door. Staff were extremely friendly and couldn’t do enough to help. Would definitely stay here again on our next visit to New York. We were four adults staying in a one bedroom Queen apartment.
- 5/5
safe, quiet, dining options, staff were very friendly and helpful. Breakfast okay/
- 5/5
Very helpful and kind staff! Both the morning male clerk and female clerk were the best! I apologize I don’t remember their name. Super clean facility and a yummy complimentary breakfast! I would recommend and be back here!
- 5/5
Perfect location! Breakfast included was so good! Rooms were so big! Great for a weekend getaway with the girls
- 5/5
Nice time
- 4/5
Finding a hotel in New York City that provides breakfast is amazing! The staff was kind and courteous. The upholstered furniture was quite dirty and needs to be cleaned, no one wants to sit on a strangers stain. The windows need to be cleaned and the ac units need to be winterize so the rooms stay warmer and you don’t hear as much of the city noise coming through them. It was fun when we realized this used to be an apartment building. Overall this is a great hotel in a very convenient part of town.
- 5/5
We felt at home here. The rooms are spacious, clean and comfortable. Having a kitchen is wonderful for a family and the room to spread out was really nice. We will come back here again and again.
- 5/5
We were upgraded when checking in to a sweet. The staff were friendly and knowledgeable. Would recommend. The room was dated but everything worked and it was clean.
- 5/5
Excelente lugar, lo recomiendo.
- 5/5
The rooms are so spacious especially for Manhattan. Favorite place for our family to stay.
- 3/5
The room was clean but the smell of mold was noticeable. The hotel felt a bit dated and the furnace leaked in one of the rooms. Breakfast was included and was warm. The staff was friendly.
- 5/5
The hotel was perfect for our family stay with four adults and an active toddler. Very spacious and the staff was exceptional.Completely compliant with Covid protocols and graciously assured all guests maintained compliance. We will definitely make this our place to stay in Manhattan.
- 5/5
Staff was very friendly and very nice. They were able to constantly communicate any changes. Very attentive and helpful. Even though they were short staffed because they told us and due to covid, honestly it was a stay that we will use again.
- 5/5
The property doesn't look like much from the outside but the staff was EXCELLENT. The rooms were spacious. It was within walking distance of many attractions and metro stations. The perfect place to stay for a week for our family of 5.
