SoHo Grand is our go to hotel in NYC if we're planning to be in the downtown area. The location is great - close to shops, galleries, and restaurants. We had an amazing view (skyline with Empire State Bldg.) from our room on the 15th floor. The bed and bedding were super comfortable! I loved having the Nespresso machine in the room, as well as all the snacks and drinks in the mini bar. The shower water pressure is good, and the bathroom design is nice. We had drinks and a snack at the lounge, and it was very enjoyable. There was a private event going on in the bar/lounge one night during our stay which made it a bit crazy but other than that, it was fine. The good thing is that we were on a higher floor so we couldn't hear it.

Absolutely amazing stay at the Soho Grand Hotel. The vibe was really nice, stylish, upscale, and perfectly located in SoHo. The room was fantastic with sleek design, and the service was top-notch. The lounge bar that turns into a nightclub is such a standout, we had so much fun there. On top of that, the staff were incredibly accommodating and so nice, they pointed us in the right direction to secure a spot at a busy restaurant and bar, even though everything was nearly fully booked. I can’t wait to stay again!

This is a fabulous hotel in SoHo ~ an amazing NY experience, walking distance to great shopping, bars and restaurants!!

It’s clean and well located - I have enjoyed it in the past I booked a corner city view room. They put me on the 4th floor - my view was the pipes on the back of the old building next door.

I really enjoyed the room, the friendly staff and the bed was very very comfortable I wish I had a better idea of when the dog park was open or closed.

The hotel was amazing, and the staff were exceptionally friendly. The Reservation Manager, Alexis Ortiz, was incredibly helpful and supportive throughout my stay. He made me feel truly welcome and comfortable, as if I were staying at home.

Great vibe overall with a really good location. The place has a nice sense of style, with thoughtful decor that feels modern but still comfortable. It’s well designed and pleasant to spend time in, and being so well located makes everything very convenient. A great option if you appreciate a good atmosphere and attention to detail.

Very disappointed with the room. Windows were dirty and the location of the room on the street was noisy. For 1000.00 a night definitely expected better. Staff was very good.

Lovely room and super comfy beds, spacious and great location for downtown. The bar has quite noisy parties which can be a little bit too intense when you arrive from a long journey

Every person on the staff was approachable, nice, and super helpful. The king bed was very comfy. The room was very clean and quiet though the cars honking outside were loud on Friday night into the early hours (but c'mon, you're in NYC). Much less so Saturday and Sunday. There's also a night club on the weekends by we couldn't hear a thing on the eight floor. The 24 hour diner downstairs was extremely convenient, tasty, and gave off the vibe of a bygone era in a good way.

Amazing staff. I had a little problem during check-in, the staff was so acommodating. The real definition of boutique hotel. The bar is very vibey and i went there every evening. Everything was perfect really. The lobby floor can be a bit overly crowded on weekends

It was our second time in the hotel. The location is very good and the hotel is quite nice. I also find it is good value for money. It is usually where we like to stay with the kids. They also kindly upgraded the room for our sons so they would have a bed and a sofa bed and don't have to sleep together. We very much appreciated the gesture.

The staff is very lovely and friendly! Very busy on the weekend! It has a club and it is a very popular lounge. That is not a bad thing, it’s just that if you want a quiet place to hang and have a meal you won’t find it there.

Stayed at The Soho Grand many times and is still my favourite hotel in NYC. Super well located, decent sized rooms (for New York!) and the staff are always great. Bar is very lively at the weekend, so keep in mind if not your thing. Would highly recommend.

The SoHo Grand Hotel was a great choice for our trip, the staff were polite, and welcoming. The hotel is centrally located, great for shopping, sightseeing, and restaurants. We enjoyed our stay at the hotel, this will be my definite place to stay on my next day trip to New York City.

Absolutely great hotel with urban-chic design. You have everything you need: good bar at night with great music and atmosphere, clean room with comfortable bed, no noise. Location is perfect! Great restaurants and great shopping all around the hotel. It was flawless experience.

The hotel should not book rooms on lower floors on weekends. The lobby turns into a nightclub and the 5th floor is so loud you cannot sleep.

I really liked the design of the room and the overall style of the hotel. It has a cool retro-chic vibe and lots of character. It was also very convenient that you can have breakfast anytime, since the restaurant on the ground floor is open 24/7. The bars and clubs were great too: good music, tasty cocktails, and a fun atmosphere (though they do get quite crowded). The room itself was fairly quiet. I could hear a bit of street noise, but nothing too disturbing. The personnell was polite and helpful. The room was standard size, not small. Good size of the bathroom and bed. I didn’t like that when I stepped out of one of the bars to take a call, it was difficult to get back in. I really didn’t expect that. But in the end they let me in, so it turned out fine

Location. Staff: from the doormen to check-in, to drinks and dinner in the lounge - we felt welcome and well taken care of. In our king room: one bath robe (we played rock-paper-scissors to see who would get to wear the robe) Also, in the “one person per room” vibe: side of the bed nearest to the window had no side table or even a shelf on which to set a book, or a phone, or whatever my beloved over on the other side of the bed was using his table for. I had to plug in my phone/charger right beside the bed, and place phone on the window/heating casement (beyond my reach while in bed). If there is a reading light on both sides of the bed, there should be a shelf if not a side table there as well.

Room 726 corner room excellent. Bar dining quite decent as is the diner attached to the hotel. location is right net to Canal st metro station easy to get anywhere. lot of decent restauraunts in walking distance. Pillows only size extra large hard on my neck and hard to sleep on one foam and one feather but both to hard for me.

The Grand is one of our favorite Hotels in NYC. We booked a room to stay the night of my wife's birthday and I had flowers delivered to the hotel. A manager noticced and gvae us a fabulous upgrade to our room. They had no decaf coffe. They are having trouble acquiring decaf coffee. If you don't like thumping parties in the lounge, don't stay there on a Saturday night.

It was hard for me to get in the tub .,because of the little wall you after to step up and over. It was hard me because i am a short guy. The tub was very slippery. My husband and I both all most fell time first using the tub.

I liked the fact that the hotel is in Soho. We could not sleep. It was incredibly noisy. The rooms are very basic and small. No ambiance at the hotel in the common space. At check out, they couldn’t even tell us how much the parking was.

The location is amazing with dozens of great bars and restaurants all in walking distance. The Bar and Lounge at SoHo Grand is perfect. The Bartender and staff are wonderful. Nothing!

Everything was a good, but in the room that I was staying in, there was a weird saw noise through the wall that sound sounded like as if there was construction being done on the next room. I spoke to the front desk and wrote in a chat with Expedia and nothing was done. We had to continue our stay despite this awful noise going to sleep and during the day. Don’t think I would do again.

All they could do was offer a small beverage credit at the hotel. We tried to make the best of it but it was not ideal. One of us had to sleep on the floor (not what you’d expect for a NYC vacay), the shower didn’t drain so it almost overflowed every time we showered and we had notified them each day but it wasn’t ever fixed. We made reservations for dinner at the jazz lounge then went to check in and hostess told us there was a cover charge per person even though we would only see the jazz for 30 mins. She kept leaving and coming back and then finally came back and said it didn’t apply to dinner. The communication was clearly not happening anywhere. It’s a cool hotel but sadly the customer service isn’t there!

After speaking with management they told me they will give me a discounted rate on my next visit. To sum this up my wife and I spent 800 dollars for the night to listen to a rave with heavy base until 4 am. Would have been more comfortable sleeping in our car. My advice to management is to at least let the customer know that on lower floors it’s pretty loud. Shows a total disregard for the customer and horrible hospitality

Our stay at SoHo Grand was exceptional! The hotel was decorated so beautifully for Halloween!! Everyone was so accommodating, helpful and genuinely kind! We will be back!

The staff is exceptionally hospitable. The property is uniquely beautiful. The SoHo Diner is remarkable. The surrounding neighborhood is delightful.

The hotel is lovely. A bit dark in lighting but very inviting, especially the lounge. Beware, however, that if you stay over the weekend, the place turns into a rowdy club on Friday and Saturday nights, after about 8pm until 3 in the morning.

The rooms are very old and as clean as they could be I guess. The rooms smell of mold because the AC units are just old and sweat a lot. They allow all pets so you could smell dog and cat smell everywhere. This property needs to be updated and redone. It's too expensive for what you get. The area is convenient so we will be looking for something better in that area.

Louis at the front desk was a unique example of what hotel management was like long ago. Kind, patient, engaged and helpful, but also efficient and business like and, frankly, charming.

I loved the design, the lounge was great. The view was spectacular ! Loved that the fridge was enclosed, did not have to hear it. Staff was incredible. I do think their pillows were a heavy nightmare as well as comforter and towels. Those are the only elements i would change. Everything else was perfect.

The best part of this hotel is its location, not the hotel itself. There are 2 amazing suites there with big terraces but for the rest it looks old, needs a facelift badly, the entrance to the hotel is the ugliest I’ve ever seen for a hotel looks like a metro station. Not fast service when you call guest services often they don’t answer. It’s freezing the AC is way too cold in the lobby. And the worst is Saturday and Sunday there’s a nightclub inside the hotel you can imagine the noise from both music amd people looks and feels like a jungle.

It was a fantastic stay from start to finish.

Staff is outstanding. The front desk is superb, Tyra and Daniel. The cleaning staff, the lady from the Caribbean. Our room was immaculate. The smell was wonderful every time we walked into our room. Every detail was taken care of. We can’t wait to tell all of our friends and be back.

Wouldn’t recommend if you’re traveling for business as it’s very much a “scene.” Getting a table to sit and work in the lobby was impossible.

Fantastic stay with incredibly nice and accommodating staff. Super clean and had everything we needed, even had multiple options for entertainment. Location is especially nice because it’s walkable to so many great places in SoHo and easy to get to the trains. Right outside the hotel is SoHo diner, Lucia’s pizza, lemon tree bodega, and a Dunkin’ Donuts which gives you a ton of easy options for food and grocery. 100% recommend

I would warn people the hotel adds 20% tip to food bill without telling you. I added an additional 20% a couple times before I noticed tip was already added.

Amazing hotel with lots to do around the area!

Hotel is in great location and very convenient to shopping and dining. Staff extremely polite and attentive.

Loved the property and staff was wonderful. Our room was warm and could not cool below 74. It had double windows on a very warm weekend. A bit uncomfortable but all in all it was very good-

This property is top tier! Obviously, there is an expensive price tag that comes with your stay, but the staff is so kind and greeted us with a glass of champagne and a bottle of water. Then later gifted us a bottle of champagne after looking at my ID and saw it was my birthday! Everyone was so kind and thoughtful with their recommendations for restaurants and kept on making sure we were ok the whole time. I even accidentally left a pair of jeans in the room after check out, and the security and front desk staff were so kind to grab them, let me know that they were left and held them until I was able to pick them up. 10/10 experience, would do it again and again and again!

There was a lot of congestion with traffic outside which caused horns beeping all the time. Hotel is very old and not upgraded recently and very small rooms and very overpriced for what you get.

spacious room, great in room amenities. enjoyed the entertainment options. don’t stay on lower floors, especially over the weekend, unless you want to near the noisy bar. i didn’t mind it too much. but it’s noticeable

Soho Grand Hotel was the perfect spot in NYC to see and walk around the city. Subway is super close.

Second time at this hotel. It never disappoints. It is well appointed, and the staff is friendly. It is clean and we like how close it is to shopping and restaurants. Highly recommend this hotel!

The hotel is great also the location staff helpful and friendly only problem is that you can hear the traffic and out side noise at night.

Roach in room

Honestly everything was fine until i woke up after a long night to a 6am construction drilling literally in my head. The room was basically inside the construction and the fact that staff will not do anything about it is even more pathetic.

Staff was so friendly. Rooms were rather large for NYC. Bathroom was big. Great distance to everything in SoHo and tribeca. Food was delicious.

Very clean and quiet property. Good location too. This was our second time staying here.

The hotel was lovely but very dark. Low rating is due to obscene amount of extra amenity charges of $135 on top of quoted price, including total BS charges. It was nice, but not worth paying an extra $135 over the $400 I already paid.

Great hotel and location! Staff is extremely friendly and goes out of their way to help in any way they can. Rooms are very clean and roomy for NY standards. Great bar/lounge area. I’ll be back!

Upon check in, I was given a 3pm check out. But upon checking out I was advised I would be charged for a late check out! This was given to me without even asking but somehow I would be charged for it. Not a good experience!

My go to every time I have to visit NYC for work. Can’t recommend this place enough, the rooms are perfect, the staff are friendly, helpful and professional.

Stayed for two weeks. Brilliant.

The location was ideal for us. The hotel staff was very friendly and eager to accommodate or help. The rooms are quite small but the bed was comfortable. Overall we had a great experience, however, the hotel is more than ready for a facelift. Looks a bit tried and dark.

Common areas of the hotel were clean, modern and comfortable. Air conditioning in the room was on most of the time as it was so humid, but it was really noisy. It’s loud enough to stop you sleeping.

My shower was broken & the front desk staff did not offer any sort of compensation to remedy the situation. I had to leave to head to the airport and they basically said “oops, sorry. Nothing we can do!”

Great hotel amazing location

I have lived near this hotel for years and frequent the bars. I finally stayed there and the service was terrible. Few amenities. Gym is laughable. Took three phone calls and an hour to get a toothbrush. They have so many items for sale in the room it looks like a rummage sale. Resort charge is for nothing. Increasingly typical commodified rip off no service American culture. Very rude new door ppl at the bars (and I have probably been to club room 40-50 times). Price isn’t bad for New York but you’re really only paying for a good location while the bar seems increasingly overwhelmed by bridge and tunnel.

It had been years since I stayed at this property and it continues to be reliable and lovely. Wonderful staff. The room could have been slightly cleaner in the bathroom and it was strange that we were not left an extra roll of toilet paper until day 6 of our stay. Location is top notch and every staff member we encountered was friendly and professional. We used the valet service for the car and it was very easy and timely (especially for NYC).

I love this hotel. First stayed here 25 years ago. What I don’t love is it doesn’t seemed to have upgraded anything since then. The rooms definitely need some TLC and some brightening up. The staff was absolutely wonderful though. They are what keep me coming back. The food is excellent. All in all, a great place. But needs some upgrading for sure. That way it will be worth the price tag and then some.

Everything it promised and more! Lovely stay, impeccable details, and luxurious touches.

I stayed for 3 nights and had the maintenance crew in every day because the toilet wasn’t flushing properly. Won’t be returning to that hotel.

We got a very dirty room (pills and dust balls etc) at check in and couldn’t leave w/out penalty unless expedia authorized it, we called and was told no problem to go ahead with checking out early but they never sent the email to hotel. Unfortunately we couldn’t leave and no other room available that night. Hotel switched us next day to a clean room and apologized.

The hotel is getting old.

Great location, walkable to Chelsea Market, Little Italy, Chinatown, Canal Street, World Trade Center Museum, shopping, great restaurants… safe, clean and vibrant location.

The rooms are not very spacious, the hallways look a bit old and it's dimly lit.

I showed up at 2am hoping for an early check in and they made me wait outside because it was "unsafe to wait inside". They let me inside the hotel at 7am and then made me wait til 5pm to tell me they couldn't check me in

The hotel is very nice and trendy. The elevator areas and rooms are a little bit dark. I liked that the fact that the rooms had floor, and some small rug. It would be better to not have the rug. The water kept splashing out of the shower and kept the floor wet.

It’s a beautiful property and the service was exceptional.

We reported 2 very inconvenient issues with plumbing that were taken care of promptly. Hotel is somewhat run down but staff are nice and professional.
