    the hotel registration and lobby were under construction so it was not good downstairs. however, my room was perfect with its own patio and amenities bed, temperature were all great, as was the staff. Especially wonderful waiter in the ersatz dining room.

    When we arrived we were met by loud machines and dusty tarp taking up half the lobby. Apparently renovations were being done. My guests and I were never notified prior to arrival work was being done in the hotel. No consideration was made for patrons, gym was out of order and they made a make shift bar and dining area that wasn't available until 5pm. I picked this particular hotel based on amenities and NYC views; we only got views! No compensation was offered for the inconvenience of renovations.

    This was my most horrible hotel experience in NYC. When I arrived the room wasn’t ready even that my reservation said check-in starts at 3.00 PM (I arrived around 3.45 pm) had to wait for my room The front desk staff was very unfriendly and not accommodating at all. . Only one elevator was functioning and it took me an hour to get to my room. I wasn’t notified that the hotel is under renovation and everything was a mess. I am deeply disappointed with my stay.

    After staying here many times, this is probably my last. They are renovating the hotel and the main entrance is a mess. I waited a half hour for the elevators two times because one didn’t work at all. It is a mess. The rooms are tiny now. You have a super large TV on the wall, and a table and chair and the bathroom shower is a water closet. The amenities are few compared to my stay in fall of 2025. It’s a shame how they made the rooms so small and clunky. I didn’t eat there. I just wanted out the next day.

    Reception did their best The fact that the hotel did not advertise that there is MAJOR renovation ongoing, and as a consequence many of the facilities that we needed, such as business lounge facilitates was not available. The night manager was one of the most obnoxious and rude people I have met and you should fire him immediately.

    The lobby is under construction, and the temporary check-in desks look cheap and are messy. Also, my particular room had a window yet there was no light that came in because of the building next door. Lastly, I reserved a King room, but when I arrived, I was assigned a queen. When I asked about this, I was told that when I book through Expedia, it's "run of the house." The hotel fixed this and gave me a king room, but I would rather not have gone through that.

    The hotel is in a very convenient location close to shops, restaurants and other busy areas. We could tell that the room had been recently renovated and overall we had a pleasant stay. There was construction work taking place on the ground floor which made access to the hotel less pleasant and super noisy. In addition, there was no dedicated waiting area for arriving or departing guests. This was the second Sheraton we stayed at in New York and unfortunately in both cases we found the staff to be less helpful than expected. I had made the reservation through Booking.com for myself and a friend. I had not added her name to the reservation beforehand as I did not realize it was necessary. When my friend arrived before me and attempted to check in she was met by a staff member who was extremely unhelpful and came across as rude. Rather than explaining that I could simply add her to the reservation so she could check in the staff member repeatedly refused without offering any guidance or solution.

    Good room, recently refurbished. Comfortable. Very useful being a club room giving us access to the club breakfast and evening drinks. Our room was right next to the very noisy lift. Noise intrusion at all hours! The lobby area was under major refurbishment so restricted access to facilities and extremely noisy during the daytime.

    There was construction, so there were periods of noise but not at night. I felt safe here inside the room but the area outside was a little interesting. I would recommend to stay off Canal and walk a parallel street if walking. The staff was working under stressful conditions considering the construction but they were not very friendly and actually somewhat bordering rude. However, that could just be New York. The employee handling the luggage and parcels was polite and helpful and was a hard worker.

    Our room was renewed There was construction at the lobby at the restaurant at the Receptin. And we were not warned about that construction while we were making our reservation via booking, which is against to consumer rights. (The price wasn’t discounted due to conditions) We complained and wrote a message (via booking) about the situaiton However they even didn’t offer a drink or shuttle.

    I think the property staff was very underwhelming. Especially the front desk people, because every time we asked and called them that we need something or anything else they said we’d be right up and they weren’t there and never came to help us out. The AC was terrible it was hot and even with that I asked to make it cooler but they didn’t.

    We had the top floor which was appreciated, but this was a standard room. Appreciated the larger room in general, nice sized bathroom. The breakfast included was better than expected, and we enjoyed sitting on the rooftop deck on level 21 taking in the vista of midtown - fantastic view both during the day and at night!

    Location was fantastic! Had a newly refurbished room on 18th floor, which was great and quiet from both traffic and the noisy renovations going on downstairs. Noisy in the lobby, drilling etc due to renovations. No breakfast restaurant..? Aircon in the room was blowing a hurricane directly on to the bed. Would be nice to be able to keep it on but in another direction.

    Absolutely nothing The hotel is currently under construction until mid-June, and there was absolutely no prior communication about this to guests. That is a major failure on the hotel’s part. Guests are paying full price without being informed that they will be dealing with constant noise, limited facilities, and an overall disrupted stay. We checked in at around 9:45 PM after a long day, and the front desk experience immediately set the tone. When we tried to pay, our credit card triggered a fraud alert, which we clearly explained and were actively resolving. Instead of handling it professionally, the staff member raised her voice and repeatedly said, “YOUR CARD IS DECLINED, your card is declined, your card is declined,” in a loud and confrontational way. It was embarrassing, unnecessary, and completely unprofessional. There was no need to handle it that way. A simple, calm approach like, “Ma’am, it looks like the payment didn’t go through, could you please check?” would have been more than sufficient. Instead, the situation was escalated and handled with zero discretion or respect for the guest. Her attitude overall was unacceptable. The way she spoke to us, to other customers on the phone, and to the next guest in line was rude and dismissive. It felt chaotic and poorly managed, as if there was no standard of professionalism at all. The construction noise was loud and ongoing, the room smelled strongly of paint, and most amenities were unavailable. On top of that, basic amenities like toothbrushes were not provided, even after we called the lobby to request them. This may vary by hotel, but from our experience, this is a basic standard in many hotels around the world. For the price being charged, this experience is completely unjustified. The lack of transparency combined with the unprofessional and disrespectful attitude from staff makes this stay unacceptable.

    Two things, first there was foyer construction not mentioned. Second, I had a double bed room reserved, they said they were upgrading me to a suite. They did upgrade me to a bigger room but it had a King bed and pull out coach bed. This is not an upgrade to me, they just moved me to less desired room by most guests.

    It is under renovation on the first floor and once you step out of the hotel, its dirty surrounding but thats NY for ya! Great friendly staff and smooth check-in!     Most of the staff was excellent, but there were a couple of instances that were not up to par. One of the people at the in room dining just didn't put the order in so we were waiting around for an hour before we called down. We were trying to be understanding because the building is under construction, it was a breakfast order so I figured it was a busy check-out day. We ended up getting our order after many apologies, but it took an hour out of our day so everything else we had planned had to be compromised. Not a big deal, but kind of disappointing. For the money, we’ll try somewhere else.

They were good about not starting up until 9:00 a.m. The lighting in the bathrooms is especially unflattering and sometimes strobed. It’s also motion activated and difficult to turn off. Bed sheets were paper thin. Towels shed.

    The hotel has significant construction work going on, which we were not made aware of prior to our stay. We arrived to the sound of pneumatic drilling, with the staff on the front desk all wearing ear plugs. Work was happening 9am to 5pm everyday but Sunday, so sleeping isn’t a problem, but it’s not particularly nice to have to effectively walk through a construction site to get to the elevator. And it meant relaxing in your room during the day kind of impossible (even for us on the 5th floor). Overall the hotel was a decent base for exploring NYC, but had we known about the construction work we would definitely have utilised the free cancellation policy and booked elsewhere.

    The hotel was nice but the first room we got was NOT CLEAN. There was a dirty towel and hand print on the shower glass. And the room smelled awful. I did get a new room immediately Allen I reported it but it left a bad taste in my mouth about the cleanliness of the hotel. We also were not informed at construction was going and it was very loud

    There is major construction going on in this hotel. When we got to the room, there was literal drilling and hammering right above our heads. I called the front desk. They said there’s construction going on and if we were moved, they could not promise us for the noise to stop. The noise stopped at 5 PM. Again starting at 9 AM.. when I went down to complain they offered me a $40 credit and some breakfast. I said I wanted a refund.. they said they cannot give me the refund and it was stated on Expedia before I checked out that the hotel was under construction. I looked on Expedia to book another room and nowhere did it say it was under construction. The desk manager took My Phone looked then looked on her computer to see if it said that. She then called somebody and said this gentleman says that it didn’t say it was under construction on Expedia.. He told her to give me a full refund.

    Canal Street Subway station is located next to the Hotel making it very convenient to take the E train from Penn Station NY to the Hotel in 10 minutes. From the Hotel you can walk to many different restaurants. Hotel was very clean with a very comfortable bed.

    This is a great hotel for the price. Very nice and newly renovated rooms with nice city views. Close to NYU and SoHo. Walkable to great restaurants and shops and very easy and reasonable parking right again the corner at Wooster St garage.

    While our stay was generally fine on the whole, it was not without a couple major concerns with respect to cleanliness and attention to detail that you should be made aware of. For one thing, the room we were initially given had an unbearably strong smell of pet urine as soon as we opened the door. The smell (and the assumed presence of ammonia in urine) was bad enough that we immediately went back down to the lobby to request a new room. I will say the hotel staff did tend to this change swiftly which was appreciated. The second issue came when our toddler discovered and picked up a medicine capsule from the floor of our room that had been overlooked by the cleaning staff. I discarded the capsule but not before taking images to share with the staff. I will say I don't feel the severity of the near-miss quite dawned on the employee I spoke with. Hopefully you can imagine the panic this created not knowing the type and origin of the substance in the hand of our two year old... Honestly, this was an uncharacteristically disappointing experience for a Bonvoy hotel.

    The Sheraton Tribeca delivers in the most unpretentious manner. The view from the 19th floor was amazing but it was in addition to the effortless service we received at check in/out. The room? Clean, comfortable and surprisingly spacious. For me, the test for any hotel is: Would I want to stay there again? The answer is a resounding yes!

The area is fairly handy as well, close to two different subway lines. I found all the street vendors a bit much myself along Canal St to the east of the building so we usually took the Blue lines ACE which is to the west of the building. This was you don't have to walk along Canal St. Also connects fast and well to Brooklyn if are headed that way during your stay. There is a aldi and lidl and others in brooklyn if you need groceries. Groceries in Manhattan are very expensive. In general great hotel if you can get a good price.

    nice location, good price and comfortable room. HOWEVER - the air conditioner blows directly onto the bed, there is no way to control it's direction, which is VERY annoying. Also, the shower has no temperature adjustment (yes, you read that correctly) you can only control the amount of water. There must be an auto set to temp, which was a bit hot to my liking, so I was forced to have the pressure set to just above a trickle so I was not getting soo much hot water on me. This caused me to take a long shower to get all the soap off me. I have never seen such a poorly design shower in my life (50+ years old). They did put me in a handicapped room and the shower head, at it's highest level, was at chin height.....this also I have never seen before and stayed in numerous other handicapped rooms.

    We booked at the Sheraton because they had sling bed and pull-out couch/bed for our family. They told us they overbooked that type of room and they didn't have that, so we had to take a smaller room with two small full size beds. We were crammed together and all slept like crap. We were extremely unhappy with the service and accommodations.

    A comfortable, clean and decent-sized room. Breakfast was great and we were given a voucher so one day it was free (and a huge meal). While in person the service was always excellent, it often took front desk a long time to answer the phone. However, I would stay here again due to the quite reasonable price... especially for Manhattan.

    People at reception were great, offered drinks, took care of luggage while we waited for room. Room was ready early. It was clean and neat. We had access to the roof deck, totally worth it! Lots of great restaurants in the area, shopping, galleries and sites. Would definitely stay again

    Location, location, location! This property is showing its age but room is spacious, property is well managed, clean and a friendly staff. The elevator can be slow and often crowded but that is only issue we had. The area is well situated at crossroads of Tribecca, SoHo and Chinatown. Extremely walkable - with shops and restaurants at your doorstep. And almost all subway lines are within a few blocks of this hotel. For the price, this hotel can't be beat in NYC!

    ive stayed here a few times now, as its close to work meetings. it is an extremely average hotel, think mid to late 1970's. when I checked in I found medicine on the floor near the bed, and the trash can in the bathroom was full. ive never been to a hotel where the staff behind the desk to check in never seems to enjoy their job. they are not people people. and today I specifically asked to have room cleaned but my request was ignored. seems to be a very poorly managed hotel, especially with whoever does the hiring. avoid if you can, tho in a pinch it can serve a purpose in you travel plans , tho often horribly overpriced . it is survivable and generally sleepable.

    I celebrated my 35th birthday day here for two nights and they were very accommodating and very helpful and they made me feel acknowledged when checking in celebrating my birthday. I enjoyed myself at the Sheraton.

    The hotel was okay, but immediately outside the front door was filthy. A lot of trash and debris all over the sidewalk. The hotel could pay some one to clean out front, even if it is technically public property. It is a really unpleasant experience going in and out of the property.

    Location is pretty great but also comes with a consequence of dirt around the hotel from all Canal street vendors. Hotel is nice but rooms are pretty dated. We had two rooms booked. One had a busted AC that barely cooled. We spent two nights there. Spoke to front desk 3 times and were promised someone would come and address the issue. As of the day we checked out, AC is still busted. Hotel has no on site parking but the lot next door is pretty good and hotel validates the ticket.

    The room reeked of smoke, and when I raised the issue, the manager essentially accused me of being the one who smoked in it. Absolutely unacceptable and insulting. The customer service was appalling, and I would never recommend this property to anyone. This experience has left me so disappointed that I would not even consider staying at a Sheraton property in the future. I checked out after a day and found a nice hotel in midtown (best place to have a base in Manhattan while exploring NYC).

    For tourists I will note that the stretch of Canal Street just to the east of the hotel is a little rough. Not unsafe really but definitely an urban experience. But that's kind of a cool thing about the location that is classic NYC - a few blocks in any direction and you're in a totally different world - the high end shops of Soho to the north, upscale Tribeca to the south, Chinatown (and the small "Little Vietnam" blocks) to the east.

    The staff were so welcoming when we checked in and were amazing throughout. Got us in earlier than the time given and we were surprised to be apart of the lounge access! The room was a shock as it was much bigger than anticipated and fit 4 girls with a ton of bags! Right in the heart of SoHo with great spots in walking distance. The roof access was amazing and had the best view, photo below. Could not recommend enough for a fun girls trip! Best weekend ever :)

    My friends and I loved this hotel! Very easy access to stores, dinning and night life! MTA around the corner. Loved it, we would stay here again. We are recent college graduates and we wanted to be downtown, this is the place to be! (The cheese sandwiches at the bodega next door are the best)

    Needed to cancel stay due to a personal emergency and called the hotel 6 days before and was told to call the booking site, called the hotel again few days later and was told no refund, and again day before the stay, and they would not give any refund or any credit towards future accomodation. Terrible service and will not stay with Marriott again.

    The worst part of the stay was our initial room assignment. We were in a tiny room that looked like a converted closet (room 614). The bathroom was horrid. Although we spent one miserable night in it, we were ready to go to another hotel if we couldn’t get a better room. It was NOTHING like the picture posted on Expedia. Thank goodness we were able to get another room for the remainder of our stay (room 807) although it still seemed less than what I expected. Someone needs to check out room 618 and turn it back into a storage room.

    This is not a place for families. The area is not great around the hotel. The walls are very thin and it’s extremely noisy. The staff did not seem knowledgeable and after complaining to a manager, I did not get any response whatsoever other than a bill.

    The weather was was extremely hot and humid, so we had no choice but to keep the air conditioner running. Unfortunately, the cold air blew directly onto the bed — specifically, right onto our heads while we were sleeping. This was incredibly uncomfortable and gave me a headache every morning. I had to take Advil daily just to deal with it. We asked maintenance if they could adjust the airflow so it wouldn’t hit the bed directly, but they said there was nothing they could do. This made our stay far from restful. I wouldn’t recommend this place if you care about a good night’s sleep.

    But this is the deal maker. I have been at the Holiday Express,Voce, Yotel and Indigo Hotels and at the Sheraton Tribeca, the standard room was three times the size of their rooms and the bathroom is its own separate room and door so you don’t hear bathroom noises. Same rate as theirs. The hotel is near both Italian and Chinese restaurants and three blocks from the A,C, and E trains. Book this hotel and avoid the rest. Fyi, mini fridge is standard and ice machines are on each floors.

    Excellent location in tribeca with walking access to Soho up to Washington Park. Clean room. Good breakfast service on 21st floor as well as balcony. Subway is a block or two away and will take you uptown quickly.

    The hotel left a lot to be desired for quality of linens, thermostat control, as well as staff friendliness. My room smelled and the elevators were functionally inconsistent. The standout employee was my housekeeper. I am grateful I had a bathtub. I can’t speak to the gym. And a complaint if corporate is reading-please bring back room service. It is a hotel that serves as a port not as a regenerative reprieve.
