Guests generally express satisfaction with the hotel's location, breakfast, and staff friendliness. However, some concerns are raised about the cleanliness of rooms, the quality of breakfast food, and the lack of sustainability in using disposable plates and cutlery.

The breakfast was delicious! The staff was so helpful in helping me to download an app and show me how to use it to naviagte the subway. The hotel amenities were great being able to do laundry was a huge plus. The room was spacious and the view was fantastic! It’s a great location as well!

I love the view from our room. We got the Hudson River and Central Park View, and Broadway/Time Square street. The staff were very friendly. The hotel is close to everything. About 3 blocks from Central Park, Time Square, and Hell’s Kitchen. Breakfast was good, although expect the same breakfast everyday. They were accommodating with our special request with fragrance free room and also when we requested for a portable stove. I was worried for the elevator to be busy as I read about it before I booked, but it wasn’t bad at all. We only waited for few minutes with little to no lines. Highly Recommended!!! None .

The staff was wonderful. The location was fantastic. It really needs an update. The tile grout was stained black in places. The refrigerator didn’t work. The ice machine didn’t work. There were really long waits for the elevator.

For the price I was expecting cleaner and move modern facilities. I have stayed at many Residence Inns and this was my far the most outdated one, location was the main attraction. The dining area was good as was the gym. The bathroom was great but the kitchen was so out of date and the fridge was so old fashioned and noisy and not very cold. Everything was super dusty!

Location is perfect - Central park / Times squere. Breakfast was good, The view from the room IMO best you can get for the value. Shout out to William at the front desk, very helpful and professional, changed our room, made our stay even more special. Thank you

Perfect location, near Central Park, not far from Carnegie Hall and Lincoln Centre. Great view over other skyscrapers in Midtown from 58th floor -

I would like to formally express my disappointment regarding our recent stay at the Residence Inn by Marriott New York Manhattan/Central Park in room 3802. During our five-night stay, we experienced several service issues that significantly affected our experience and fell far below the standards we would expect from Marriott. Firstly, the television in our room was not functioning properly upon arrival. Despite reporting this issue to the reception desk on four separate occasions during the week, the problem was only resolved after the fourth complaint. It is unacceptable that such a basic room facility remained unusable for most of our stay. Secondly, the shower gel dispenser in the bathroom was empty. We had to request a refill five times before this was finally addressed. Again, this should be a basic housekeeping matter that should not require repeated follow-up from guests. In addition, despite specifically informing the front desk in the morning and requesting housekeeping service, our room was still not cleaned later that day, and no clean towels were provided. This was extremely disappointing after already experiencing multiple unresolved issues during our stay. Overall, we found the level of service and responsiveness during this stay to be very poor and not in line with the Marriott brand reputation. I would appreciate it if you could review this matter and respond appropriately regarding how Marriott intends to address this disappointing experience.

I had some issues with my booking, and the staff were incredibly helpful. They were responsive, kind, and resolved everything very quickly. I’d especially like to thank Jasmine at the front desk. She was simply amazing. Next time I’m in the city, I will definitely choose Marriott because of the outstanding service.

Really like this hotel! Have stayed here in the past. The only problem this time was with the elevators. We waited over 25 minutes for an elevator to come. We understood that one elevator was out of service which I’m sure didn’t help…

Right on broadway with everything accessible Staff great Breakfast had huge selection Good housekeeping Waiting for lengthy periods of time for the elevators. Two out of the four available only on some days and would bypass floors.

Great location for us. Nice kitchen facilities. Appreciate early check-in. Very helpful staff. Room a bit cramped. No table. Breakfast quality has slipped from our stay here a year ago. Less fresh fruit. No 2% milk, only "whole." Something better than pre-wrapped pastries, please. Even Holiday Inn Express has hot Cinnabon!

I did not sleep . All I could hear were the elevators going up and down all night long. It’s a beautiful hotel but I’ve never stayed in a hotel where the elevators were so loud . Very disappointing

I would like to file a complaint regarding our stay at the hotel. Upon arrival, we were accommodated for one night in the Courtyard section, even though we did not agree to this, on the grounds that the hotel had no rooms available for us that night—despite the fact that we had paid for our stay five months in advance. This ruined the start of our vacation, complicated our plans for the following day due to having to move to a new room, and, of course, the room in the Courtyard did not match the amount we paid. Therefore, I am requesting compensation.

WOW, the one time when I never requested a view and I had an outstanding panorama of Central Park projecting north of 59th Street from my room on the 55th floor-- Great Midtown location at 54th/Broadway-- a ten minute walk to General Sherman at 59th/5th Ave (starting point for many tours), twenty minute quick march up Broadway to Lincoln Center/MetOpera. Room a bit tight but well equipped. Never used the compact in-room kitchen. Bed was reasonable, environment calm and quiet, decent bathroom (shower). Breakfast entirely adequate-- the usual "Marriott suspects", e.g., the mass-produced cheesy omelet, the mound of sausage patties and vegan substitute for same, the DYI waffler.... Lobby space not much to speak of but very helpful staff, extending from the front desk crew, to bellmen/doormen, affiliated limo guys that were competitive with taxis in terms of getting back to LGA. Given current cost environment, you received quite a bit overall in return.

Amazing breakfast spread, beautiful views and central location near subway stop. Perfect.

We booked a flight and hotel package. The first room we were assigned had a shower that was quite unpleasant. The water would come out of the shower and onto the bathroom floor. Fortunately, the hotel was very accommodating and moved us to another room without any problems. Overall, we had a pretty good stay. The breakfast was good and included all the essentials. There’s also a Starbucks on the fourth floor near the breakfast area.

We had a corner suite and the view from the room was a million dollar view. Breakfast was great and the staff were very friendly. Location is a short walk from theatres and Central Park. Jamie gave us a great recommendation for an Italian Restaurant which was the best Italian food I have ever had. All in all we had a wonderful stay in the city and I would highly recommend this hotel. This was one of the best NYC stays I’ve ever had in my life. I booked this place for my 30th birthday treat. The hotel room was quiet, the shower was large and luxurious, and everything was very clean and well kept. The staff was lovely. The breakfast had such a wide range of options and was DELICIOUS. Still thinking about my breakfast. Everything went extremely smoothly at this hotel, from valet parking, keeping my luggage with staff, and valet parking back. I would come back in a heartbeat, provided I book the place in advance again.

Everything was great - breakfast buffet exceeded expectations! Room was well equipped and comfortable though a bit cramped. Views from high floor were amazing. Location was convenient to theatre, opera, MOMA and Central Park. Only negatives were crowded elevators at peak times and hallways were kind of dark.

- Location is unbeatable - We were on the 61st floor with view towards the east. Truly special to be part of the skyline. We only found out during our stay that it is the tallest hotel in NYC - Service personnell did a great job - Beginning on the 36th floor and ending at the 65th you are separated from the noise of the city that never sleeps - Our smoke detector had two fail alarms in the first night. However, the staff was very quick to respond (within a few minutes at our room) and got on top of the problem after the second alarm - Breakfat ends at 9:30am during the week - There are 4 elevators, 3 of which are for guests. In rush hours the waiting time can be up to 15 minutes

Everything great

Great views booking here again as well 💯
- 4/5
There was a fire alarm. The communication during this alarm was not efficient. Honestly, it was a bit scary when you are on the 44th floor and the elevators are disabled, thinking that you might be trapped during the fire somewhere in the building. In the end, nothing terrible happened, but it would have been better if the announcements with instructions had come out faster.
- 3.5/5
The staff were excellent. Friendly and helpful. The pillows were awful and the room showed signs of wear and tear with the molding around the bathroom door pulling apart.
- 1.5/5
There’s no service at this property all. The refrigerator had a huge noise. Called the frond desk twice, complained in the front desk in person, the staff acted like they care but no one showed up to fix it. Had to pull the damn thing out and unplug it myself so I can sleep.
- 5/5
Very Good
- 3/5
Because of the broken window, cold air kept coming into the room, making it very cold and uncomfortable. It also created significant noise, which made it difficult to rest. The hotel itself was otherwise acceptable, but these issues significantly impacted our experience. Based on this stay, it seems that in New York City, accommodations may fall short of expectations unless you are paying at a very high price point—perhaps around $1,000 per night or more.

Great views and location I left a women's blazer hanging the wardrobe by mistake. This was immediately found but the hotel charge to post back to New Zealand was $250USD - completely crazy and really left sour taste after stay. The postage cost on Amazon for a similar jacket from US to NZ is approximately $25 at most.

Be aware that the "park view" rooms do not actually have an unobstructed view of the park. The hotel is on 54th Street. The park begins on 59th Street. There are tall buildings in between that block the view. Otherwise, the room was perfect!

Our room was not ready when we arrived, despite arriving at 11pm (check in time is 4pm) and they put us in a different room with double beds not a King. The next day, the room we paid for was still not ready and the hotel did nothing to apologize or compensate us. The man at the front desk was very rude when we asked about why the room we had paid for was not ready, and wouldn't even tell us what time it would be. We had to get out of our room and leave our suitcases in the reception until past 4pm to get to our room.

Welcome staff are unfriendly, also at check out very grumpy. They did not inform me about a holding deposit and that it will take 1 month to be refunded. Breakfast was pretty average , apart form the cleaning staff and also the patrons at breakfast the rest of them need up their attitudes as they not cut out for hospitality. They also randomly knocked and then opened out room door at midnight, if were wete not up that would have been interesting.we reported that and they still investigating.

The room was clean, and we never really spoke with the staff except when we first arrived. The hotel shows a bit of wear, but it's NYC. Location was off the charts perfect. Never had any issues with feeling safe. Best of all, and why I would stay again, the VIEW. We had a corner room overlooking Time Square on the 64th floor. Could have stayed in the room all day, looking out the window. The free breakfast in the morning was average to a little better. But it was free and saved a few bucks in the morning. The elevator was a little difficult at times, but it's a 65-floor hotel with I think 4 elevators, and a lot of people, but it wasn't that bad.

My wife & I knew right away we were staying in the right hotel upon check in which is where we met Jamie Bond, one of the managers. He was extremely pleasant, welcoming, and so very helpful, and funny!. On our second day there, we greeted him on our way back to our room and he came around from his desk and started to chat with us for a few minutes. My wife and I travel often and that was probably the first time anyone has ever done that, and a hotel manager no less! We also came across two wonderful employees who worked in the cafe during breakfast: Errol & Alexis. They were so friendly, and so helpful. We met them during our first morning there, and for the remainder of our stay, they never failed to stop by our table & say hello & just chat! They were just two genuinely nice, down to earth people and they are fantastic at what they do! Errol even surprised my wife with some cupcakes when he found out it was her birthday. Overall, the staff was wonderful and accommodating, but Jamie, Errol, and Alexis really stood out. To the administration of the Residence Inn, you really hit a home run with these employees. My wife & I decided that we will be staying at the Residence Inn when we come back to NYC. Aside from that, the hotel was great. The room was very clean and the views of the city were amazing! Not only was their breakfast good, but they offered so many options to choose from. We're native New Yorkers so we especially loved the location of the hotel. It's in the theater district, but not so close where you felt overwhelmed by the sheer volume of people once you step outside. Yet, it was not far where you couldn't just walk to catch a show. It's also within walking distance of Central Park, numerous subway lines, Columbus Circle, and even borders the east side. I HIGHLY recommend this hotel to anyone who wants to be both in near proximity to everything, but also be treated as a valued guest! I have no complaints whatsoever

We had a late arrival after midnight and the room wasn’t fully kept before we arrived. The bathroom was missing the bath mat, towels, and wash rags and an inhaler was left on the counter. Had to ask housekeeping for them the next morning. It was also cold and the blankets weren’t very heavy/warm. Expected a comforter of sorts but only had a sheet and a quilt. We’re pinned between the elevator banks so it was quite loud listening to the elevators go up and down constantly. The bathroom mirror was also broken in the bottom corners.

Great location, staff was lovely. Breakfast has lots of variety and plenty of seating, but the hot selection was not hot or even barely warm, and we were down for breakfast pretty early. I thought maybe they didn't have the bain-marie on high even to keep the food warm but then when they brought out more fresh home fries from the kitchen, they were cold too.

Room smell like old spoiled food. I didn’t have an ironing board. They didn’t have good lighting in the room. I didn’t have any soap I called the front desk twice and they never brought me any soap. We didn’t have any wash cloths I asked the front desk and they didn’t response. The lamp was broken the staff

The room and staff here are amazing! We had the best room with an amazing view that close to everything. One day the shower was leaking and we told the staff as we left for the day and it was completely fixed like new by the time we returned. I love New York and would definitely stay here again.

The staff was great, the room itself was good. The elevators are another story. Ended up walking down 43 flights of stairs after 25 minutes of waiting for an elevator.

We had a wonderful experience at this hotel. The staff was extremely friendly and welcoming, and we were able to check in earlier than expected, which was a pleasant surprise. We requested an iron, and it was brought to us right away. The room was fantastic! The only minor issue we encountered was with the shower handle—it took a long time to adjust the water temperature because it kept turning without proper control. However, this did not overshadow the overall great experience. The location is perfect—everything is within walking distance, which made it so convenient. And the view from the window- Absolutely stunning! Overall, we’re very pleased with our stay and will definitely consider coming back in the future.

Queuing for the elevators and squeezing into them nearly every time we had to go up or down. Ice was only on floor 35! One working ice machine for 60 floors of rooms! That is ridiculous. Ice should be on every 5th or so floor. You couldn’t get ice without a long wait for the elevator. Too many floors to use the stairs.

A week in NYC at the beginning of a journey to Europe & three days on the way back— both times at the Residence Inn on Broadway/54th, and both times superb. #1 asset is a well-trained staff (special praise for Cyril at the front desk!) who makes this feel like a small boutique hotel instead of the towering giant it is. Housekeeping is always impeccable, & they’ve reorganized the breakfast buffet to be un-chaotic, no small feat. The value of this buffet & its vast choices shouldn’t be underestimated. The rooms are comfy, super clean & functional with breathtaking views in every direction. Nice to have the kitchenette to make sure leftovers of memorable meals don’t go to waste! And the location couldn’t be better for walking & accessing other transportation, seeing shows & visiting museums, finding umpteen dining options & enjoying everything about NYC. Final classy touch is the availability of a competitively flat-rate black SUV waiting to take you to your airport on departure. If I could give 10 stars for everything, I would!

From the four elevators only two were working so we needed to wait around 15 minutes each time we were use it. In one occasion, we waited for 30 minutes and decided to go down by foot from the 39 floor. First day, we arrived at 3:00pm and had to wait 1 hour to get our room. Service at the lobby was not friendly.

Excellent location for quick access to broadway shows, dining, Central Park and Times Square.

Our room was spacious, comfortable, and exceptionally clean, with breathtaking views overlooking the skyline and city below. Waking up to that view each morning was a highlight in itself. What truly made our stay memorable, however, was the exceptional service provided by Cyril at the front desk. From the moment we arrived, he went above and beyond to make us feel welcome. His warmth, professionalism, and genuine care added a personal touch that made all the difference. He was always ready with helpful suggestions and ensured every detail of our stay was perfect. Highly recommended, we wouldn’t hesitate to return!

- 5/5
Excellent property
- 4/5
However, the delay to check in being to told to return a couple of times even though out arrival was at the check out time, and the wait for the lifts (sometimes up to 20 minutes) dampened our experience with this hotel.
- 1/5
Only 1 lift out of 4 operational for one day and only 2 of 4 operational on the other 3 days. We had to go up and down 48 floors using the stairs 3 times. Even when we got an elevator after about a 20 min wait, it was too full to accommodate us. Staff offered free appetizers as compensation - what’s joke! For the amount charged this was inexcusable.
- 5/5
All the staff were friendly and helpful. Easy check in, Usually short waits for an elevator. Super included breakfast in large dining area with lots of windows and places to sit. The best breakfast I’ve seen at a hotel. Right on Broadway and 54th street. Walked to the shows, subway close by. A few blocks to Central Park, Lots of restaurants and shopping. Grocers, including Whole fFoods close. Always felt safe. We traveled all over the city, hit the major sites. The hotel can help you with whatever. Everything’s expensive this part of town. We found local places, pubs, pizzerias great choices for saving money and still having a terrific meal. 7th avenue shut down to traffic for a street market. A beautiful hotel, well kept and service minded.
- 4/5
This hotel is in a great location for access to everything you would want to do in Manhattan. The biggest issues were: the lobby had a faint garbage smell. This was not present on the street right outside the hotel or in the rooms. The refrigerator wasn't working. There was no fan in the bathroom which was problematic after eating greasy pizza! But, the biggest disappointment was the free breakfast. I don't know why so many have mentioned how good it was. The scrambled eggs were hard in the middle but runny. Not even sure how you do that. Pancakes were hard. Overall, nothing was good unless you are okay with cold cereal. If I had paid $32.00 that they charge for this breakfast, I would have been upset. But, I chose this hotel because of the breakfast thinking it would save a few bucks so I factored that into the cost when comparing hotels. We only ate there the first day and then found other options after that. We went back the 2nd day at a different time to see if perhaps the day before was a fluke, but sadly, it was no better the 2nd day.
- 5/5
The hotel was great, location was convenient. Only 2 of the 4 elevators were working the first day but seemed to have been fixed by day 2. We booked 4 rooms and 2 of them weren’t ready until almost 6 pm when check in is 4; that was frustrating. Staff was amazing, though, special shout out to Elana at the front desk, who was caring and friendly.
- 4/5
Breakfast options were awesome.
- 4/5
I loved the hotel and staff. The elevator issue with two or more not working was terrible. We will not stay there again because of this issue. So many others agreed while we talked waiting for the elevator for 15-20 minutes at a time.
- 5/5
For a huge, towering hotel in one of the busiest areas of Manhattan, the Residence Inn is amazing. The staff is warm, personal and accommodating (typified by Cyril at the front desk). The rooms are large for Midtown Manhattan and filled with thoughtful details — big mirrors, ample drawers, hangers and shelves, iron/board, workspace, and a very nice kitchenette that means you can stash delicious leftovers and not have to eat out all the time (nice on a busy day). The facilities are in great shape thanks to devoted, speedy housekeepers. The buffet breakfast and late afternoon happy hour are remarkable. You can easily walk to most Broadway theaters, to MOMA, Central Park South and West, Lincoln Center and Rockefeller Center. The food and shopping options are plentiful. When you leave, the black SUVs favored by celebs are available for airport transportation, for a flat rate comparable to a cab ride. We stumbled onto this, and it’s become our go-to place in Manhattan a half-dozen delightful times.
- 3/5
Felt safe. Staff and security was always visible in the loony. Location was great between Time Square and Central Park. Noticed the smell of someone was deep frying. The smell filled up our room through the air vent. Called front desk and nothing much they can do to help.
- 4/5
Room was tight with a full size bed and a twin bed. Disappointment with the valet and vehicle in/out privilege not allowed. Not enough elevators in service delayed our daily departure from hotel to explore the beautiful city of New York.
- 5/5
The only thing that I didn’t like is that
- 5/5
From the moment we walked in, we were welcomed with great hospitality and customer service. Elena checked to see and was super friendly. The hotel is immaculate. The breakfast is second to none. The view from our hotel room looked out over the city and Hudson River.

However the quality of the linens and paper products is subpar for a Marriott Residence Inn. Our bath linens were thin to the point of being almost threadbare. The bed linens were scratchy. An upgrade in these areas would make a world of difference!

I think I've found my go-to hotel in NY. 10/10 hotel with incredible views. The breakfast options were great and the hotel is just a few blocks from Times Square. Will definitely recommend

This hotel was a short walk to Central Park, Times Square, and Broadway shows. The rooms were clean and the bed was comfortable. The check in and check out process is easy, and the location was great for us first timers in NYC wanting to explore.

Gen (at the front desk) was truly remarkable time after time. We had a lovely stay. The shower in 6202 was very, very weak. Everything else was perfect. Thank you so very much.

Corner room, NW corner, floor to ceiling windows, top floor (65th). No sun the morning, beautiful sunsets in the evening. Cream and navy decor. Beautiful.

This hotel was amazing! Very clean, breakfast had a lot of good choices, easily walkable to the subway and a few main touristy places, the staff all around were so nice and accommodating and went out of their way to make the stay amazing. Would def recommend and stay again
- 5/5

The breakfast was also convenient and had many options. We would defiantly stay here again when visiting NYC!
- 4/5
Great location!
- 4/5
Great breakfast included and has lots of security which I appreciate! Staff is very professional and nice linens
- 4/5
The room was very clean. All of the staff were great. Beds could have been more comfortable- too hard in my opinion. The subway and construction noise made it difficult to fall asleep and sleep in.
- 2/5
Lobby smelled like horse manure & sheets were dirty in one of the beds. The lights in the kitchenette would not turn off, so engineering came and unplugged them which then unplugged microwave and kitchen area.
- 4/5
Elevators were fast, breakfast was excellent
- 4/5
The "Kitchen" was lacking utensils, and the room phone didn't work. They tried to fix it for an hour and couldn't
- 3/5
Rooms were a little worn and dirty. Not much of a lobby.
- 5/5
Staff was super friendly. Breakfast was solid! Great location
- 4/5
We visited to celebrate the 30th birthday of our son and although the hotel was aware of this, they didn’t do anything special for him. That said, the hotel offers a great location with incredible views, a good breakfast and a comfortable room. So we may return.
- 5/5
It was an excellent stay in that hotel. The staff and the rest were superb. Thanks

Nice hotel nice location

I stay in many Residence Inns Marriott; thsi one had the smallest rooms. Upkeep is lacking. The drawer fridge froze everything I put into it (not good for pop ); the shower door leaked so that the whole bathroom floor was wet; I missed detergent bottle for washing a few dishes; no dish cloth. long lines at check in; the breakfast and location were great and the staff was friendly/helpful
- 5/5
Staff was really nice , room was small but still nice with a beautiful view. Also free breakfast buffet is nice
- 5/5
Had a great girls trip in NYC. We loved our room and the view was amazing.
- 4/5
The breakfast was great.
- 5/5
A great stay and such a positive team. We experienced an issue with the elevator and the staff were on it immediately and fixed it. Nice accommodations adjacent to Times Square and so many attractions within a short walk.
- 1/5
Old rooms. Shower leaks and everything smells like mold
- 5/5
We’ve stayed at both the Courtyard and Residence Inn, and the Residence Inn is worth the extra cost. Rooms are bigger with more amenities. The included breakfast is good value.
- 5/5
We stayed 2 nights here, loved the amazing park view and river view. It's convenient to walk to many popular tourist destinations.
- 5/5
In a walking distance to cultural and shopping centers.. Clean and well maintained hotel. Breakfast was excellent. Rooms are not big, yet beds are comfortable. We recommend this hotel.
- 5/5
Very clean, friendly staff. Breakfast was great with lots of choices and lots of seating. Would recommend and would stay here again. Close to subway and car service was perfect!
- 5/5
Love the property and staff are terrific!
- 2/5
Terrible noise coming from elevators
- 4/5
Will return.
- 5/5
Clean and quiet
- 2/5
I was trapped inside the elevator for 40 minutes until the technicians arrived. There were 11 people inside the elevator, but the elevator never stated anything about it being too full. We were trapped on the 4th floor. We asked the operator to contact Police and Fire Department.
- 4/5
Overall I would greatly recommend this hotel and would definitely stay here again.
