Reviews
The hotel is praised for its excellent location near Times Square, Bryant Park, and various attractions, as well as its friendly and helpful staff. The breakfast is also frequently complimented. However, many guests find the rooms to be dated and in need of updates. The elevators are often criticized for being slow and crowded, especially during breakfast hours.

Location: Great. Right in times square. Pros: Valet that is not crazy expensive. Amazing Hot Pot restaurant right next to the hotel. Mids: Breakfast included, but it is very mid. Cons: The room was terrible. Desperately needs updating. AC broken and we were roasting alive in the room all night at 79 degrees. It was horrible. The bathroom is so small, no fan and you can barely open the door. This was the worst hotel room I have had in any city in many years, and I stay in hotels all the time. In the last month I have stayed in 4 different hotels. There was nice ice bucket in the room, or an ice machine on the floor. The room was grubby and gross. I cannot recommend this hotel.

The staff at the front desk were extremely helpful and polite. The daily breakfast was pretty good and the area was well maintained with good selections.
- 5/5
Booked a king suite and the room was spacious especially for a NYC hotel room. Had a full size fridge and microwave plus a seating area. We were able to check in early and they stored our bags upon check out as we had a late flight. Location is great with a subway station right across the street. Plenty of food options nearby. Would definitely stay again.

The front reception staff was very profession and check in was a breeze. Elevators were fully functional and prompt (often overlooked but worth mentioning). The first impression of our room was that of modern combined with elements of home. There were visible signs of wear and tear on the floor and some pieces of the furniture. The bathroom showed its age but lent to the sense of being lived in. The linens were fresh and clean. Space was not an issue and contributed to the quality of our stay. The entertainment options were up to par. Side note, in my most recent experience at Residence Inn Midtown, I observed that complimentary bottles of water are provided but learnt from the Times Square Residence Inn's front desk staff that it was not standard. Rooms are moderately sound proofed. I was able to get much needed R&R. The only outlier was the standard of cleanliness of the room was average and could be improved. My overall experience was great and I definitely come again and would be happy to recommend this hotel to anyone ad an option to stay for a true New York experience.

A special thanks to Sergio at the front desk for his outstanding customer service, professionalism and kindness. He went above and beyond to make our stay comfortable and enjoyable. We truly appreciate his dedication and would gladly stay here again. Sincerely, The Caridad Family

Such a great location. Convenient to Times Square and the subway. The staff were very helpful and the breakfast had good variety. For a better view try to get a room on the upper floors
- 4/5
This hotel was a gem and the staff was wonderful. In walking distance to all of the attractions in Manhattan. Enjoyed breakfast and the room was clean. I enjoyed my stay and would stay at this property again.
- 3/5
The staff was great and the breakast buffet was laid out nicely and well serviced. There were not enough elevators for a busy weekend, so during peak times (9AM-11AM) the wait for a down elevator that wasnt full could be 15 minutes or more. Also, on two of the nights we were there the hot water was intermittent, so I had to shower during "off-peak" hours. In our room the TV faced the door, not the bed or couch, so TV could only be watched at a 45 degree angle. The room was clean and soacious.
- 5/5
The buffet in the morning was delicious and so many options. Great service
- 5/5
Great hospitality. Clean room. Very comfortable bedding. Free breakfast. Taxi right outside of the door. Fantastic location. Could not have been better.

Perfect location! Great choice for traveling with toddlers!!!!
- 3/5
Well it was a mixed bag of good, bad, and ugly. The good is that it's a pretty well maintained property in midtown. Breakfast buffet is good enough for what it is. Staff are extremely helpful and friendly. Hotel is close to a couplenof trains and some decent food. The bad is that the rooms are small and the sleeper sofas are uncomfortable (actual beds are fine, for the record). But, that's NYC for you. The ugly, and our experience is probably unusual: the AC was nonfunctuonal in our room. They sent a maintenance man (great guy!) and he replaced the entire unit. Second unit was kaput. They brought in a third unit, and this did not improve the cooling. So the hotel steps up and makes things right! We were moved to a new room.

Great location. Good price. Outdated rooms. Bedding didn’t fully fit the bed and pull out couch OUCH awful paper thin mattress and blanket very thin. Elevators leaving on Sunday had to wait 20 mins to get on stayed on floor 14 and ended up having to go up to go back down!

Location was excellent. Breakfast had good choice of food and drink. Good variety of seating within the breakfast area. There were no instructions about the room and facility available. A one-page A4 sheet would have been helpful here. For example, we couldn't call reception because additional to the instructions on the phone itself, you had to dial a preceding digit (I can't recall what it was now). Maybe reception told us at check-in, but by that stage we'd been travelling for 24 hours! The TV didn't operate. But the repair guy sorted it quickly - an incorrect selection apparently. Getting in was difficult for me (in a wheelchair). I often had to ask pedestrians to help. A doorbell would solve this issue?
- 4/5
Near Times Square, kitchenette, good breakfast, friendly, helpful staff. Large group caused lobby delays, could hear elevators in room even though room wasn’t adjacent to elevators, breakfast areas was a bit tired/overused.
- 3/5
The bathrooms on 3rd floor were always filthy.
- 2/5
The value for the price paid is far below what it should be. The facilities look nice until you enter a room. Everything is old, and there was even a torn towel in the room. Very expensive for what you get.

We had an excellent stay at the Residence Inn Manhattan/Times Square. The location was perfect - just a short walk to Times Square, Bryant Park, subway stations, restaurants, and many of the attractions we wanted to visit. The staff was incredibly friendly, welcoming, and helpful throughout our stay. From check-in to check-out, everyone went out of their way to ensure we had a great experience. Our room was spacious, clean and comfortable, with plenty of room for our family and everything we needed during our trip. The hotel was well-maintained, and the convenience of the location made exploring NYC easy and enjoyable. We would definitely stay here again! Mahalo!
- 5/5
Convinced and wonderful staff very friendly and helpful. Attractions are near by.
- 5/5
In the center of most of tourist attractions in NY and you can get anywhere by subway in NY. Penn station and grand central are at walkable distance. Time square is very close by we went almost every night. Nice breakfast but monotonous. Parking is pricey if you have a car. We loved our stay and will come back again.
- 4/5
Great location. Free breakfast was a bonus. Bed was huge and comfy. Awesome to gave a full sized fridge and mini kitchen. Foldout bed was not great. Very droopy and springs coming through
- 2.5/5
The location was great. The breakfast was a good amenity and decent with a good variety. Would like to see more gluten free options. The cleaning crew was prompt in the mornings. The staff was friendly and approachable. Our room was at the end of the hallway and slightly larger than others, a good size by nyc standards. The building is very old. Some of the room fixtures were nice but the cabinets and repainted mirror were old. There wasn’t anywhere to put clothes away. Only one small chest of drawers and no luggage rack to set luggage on. The only fresh water filter station in the hotel was in the gym and was broken. My daughter pulled down her bed covers and found a thick black stain at the top of the down or down alt comforter. We asked the hotel to change it out but they didn’t and said it was a melted tag from the cleaners. Not what I would expect from a Marriott residence inn although perhaps standard for nyc (?)
- 5/5
Great Hotel, close to everything, great breakfast to start the day, very friendly staff, front desk. Highly recommended.
- 5/5
The included breakfast buffet was amazing The rooms were super clean The staff were amazing! The location is pretty close to everything I highly recommend
- 5/5
The rooms were outdated but the plus is the next to Times Square. Breakfast was ok, nothing special: bagels were not New York bagels, something like from the grocery store and not the fresh one. Staff was friendly but overall it was ok
- 5/5
The staff were so nice and accommodating from the front desk to the bellman! The room was very clean, the bedding was fresh, and the bathroom was spotless!
- 4/5
Location is very near to Bryant Park and Empire State.. 15 min by walking to Cental park. Comfortable rooms and good view. Near hotels lots of restorant amd market options. Breakfast stabil everyday.( scramble eggs, sausage, fruits, muffins and Oat. Coffee is really good. Crowding hotel. Elavator is speedly but sometimes you can wait long times. You can hear voice of avenue and elevators all night.
- 4/5
Great location, great size room with comfy beds for the family. Good to have breakfast included. The rooms and common areas are a little tired and could do with a re-fresh.
- 4/5
Location was great The line for food

Location and front desk staff so nice. Laundry was a big plus. Housekeeping great. A little worn out
- 5/5
Great staff, welcoming and gave great tips on pizza stops. Clean and spacious room. Great location near Bryant Park and subway station. Short walk from Penn Station. Will stay again!
- 5/5
NYC miracle found. Shoutout to Bryan for the early check-in save! The room was spacious, (for NY standards) and the breakfast was actually good. Highly recommend.
- 3/5
No tooth paste was provided, just room with minimal benefits but very high price for a normal room. Not worth except location.
- 4/5
그래도 뉴욕에서 이 정도면 정말 괜찮은 숙소라고 생각합니다.
- 4/5
The room was clean. The staff was nice. The breakfast was not the best, the offerings were not as diverse and breakfast should be until 11:00am not 9:30am.
- 5/5
Excellent location in Times Square. Friendly and helpful staff made check in and out very smooth with reasonably priced onsite valet service. Breakfast buffet had a decent spread of options. Would stay here again for the location.

Location Elevator terrible next to room, 30-60 min to go to breakfast elevators are packed and take forever to come down/up
- 4/5
If you have a family this place is the best. Clean rooms (needs some updates). Nothing super fancy, yes you can hear the elevator (if you are a light sleeper than bring earplugs) and there are only 4 elevators for the whole hotel but for the price in NYC for 2 nights with a kitchenette and space to move about. The other hotel tried charging me $1000 for 2 nights without anything. Free breakfast has just about everything just go early. My daughter's slept in late one day and by the time we got down to the breakfast area it was packed. Staff is excellent. Friendly and helpful. They held our bags after check out since we had a few hours before we left. Those are my only complaints otherwise all positive. I would stay again.

- 4/5
Hotel was in a nice location for our needs. We liked the valet parking offered. Our room was spacious enough for the 3 of us. We had a king bed and a sofa. The bathroom is on the small side. The heating/cooling system was not the best as the temp kept resetting itself to 72 even though we kept resetting it to 70. It made sleeping a little on the warm side. Lastly, our room was close to the elevator which was heard in our room, especially in the morning.
- 1/5
Nothing Everything, house keeping was rude , reception staff sarcastic, rooms were pathetic, shower area with disability access was so poorly designed that water spilled over to the rest of the bathroom, breakfast area over crowded, no complimentary water on arrival, had to queue up for lifts during breakfast times, so had to take stairs instead. Hallways looked like a dungeon.
- 4.5/5
Superb
- 3/5
Unfortunately, the hotel itself is in serious need of improvement. The rooms are outdated and did not appear to be properly maintained. The bathrooms were not clean, the elevators were overcrowded and difficult to access, and I was very concerned to see roaches in the laundry room. I have stayed at many Residence Inn properties over the years, and this is by far the worst one I have experienced. The location is the only aspect that prevented me from giving it a much lower rating.

The location was perfect. The breakfast was quite good, varied, and enjoyable compared to typical American hotel breakfasts. There was a wide variety of teas at breakfast, and the coffee was very good. The rooms were also quite spacious compared to most hotels in the US. There was even a small kitchen area and a dining table. We did not cook, but it gave us extra space and made the room feel more comfortable and airy. We used it to keep snacks and small things for the kids. Having a refrigerator was absolutely great. We were able to keep drinks cold. Beds were comfortable. The bathroom was small, but it was sufficient. The hotel itself was older, but the interior was clean and nice. The breakfast area was very large, so we never had any trouble finding a place to sit. The elevators became crowded around the end of breakfast hours. Since we went to breakfast early, we did not experience any problems. Nothing

We loved it here! Close to everything, staff was super helpful and nice and the room was spacious and comfortable. The elevators can be slow at times but that was the only negative.
- 4/5
The location was excellent. The staff was very pleasant and very helpful. The breakfast was excellent. The facility was typical down town New York old buildings.
- 3/5
The breakfast and housekeeping staff were great. The initial check in wasn't great. The hotel has some age and needs renovation. Elevators are shaky and lights don't work all the time on the floor numbers panel.

- 4/5
Staff is very friendly. Breakfast buffet is a good way to start the day. Amazing location; Bryant Park is almost your front yard. They store your luggage before you check in and after you check out if necessary.
- 4/5
Loved the breakfast options! The hotel location was perfect with easy access to the train and Whole Foods. The room layout was great for remote working. The stairs didn’t lead to the lobby and there were no stairs to access the lower level; it was difficult to enter and exit the bathroom-a pocket door would make more sense; they supplied pots and pans but there wasn’t a cooking surface; you can access the 3rd floor via the elevator without a key card and then each floor can be accessed via the stairwell without a key card-this is a security concern.
- 4/5
Constant noise like luggage rolling maybe because of proximity to the elevators. Just there 3days.

Very clean room. Bathroom need little upgrade and it don’t seem to have exhaust fan. Staff were very nice and breakfast was fantastic. It is very convenient to visit any place as subway is right across hotel. I strongly recommend anyone one want to stay in manhattan and near time square area.
- 3.5/5
The room was pretty good, and the location is great if you want to do some sightseeing. Also, the staff was super friendly and always willing to help with anything we needed. One of the main things they should improve is the Wi-Fi quality. In our rooms (25th floor), it barely worked, so we had to go down to the 3rd floor to use it properly. Also, breakfast hours should be a bit longer — especially during weekdays, since it only goes until 9:30 AM.

I really liked the staff and the location of the hotel...Super convenient to the subway and Times Square. The breakfast buffet was wonderful, just being able to have one free meal when I'm in NYC is much appreciated! My ONLY complaint would be the noise of the elevators. My first night there I thought it was the subway...Turns out it was the elevators. They make an IMSANE amount of noise. My room was right around the corner from the elevator banks and they woke me up consistently throughout the night. My next stay I will definitely be asking for a room away from the elevator banks

The bed linen and bed was very comfortable.. I had to move rooms at 2.30AM as there was a vibration that kept me awake. Then there were issues with getting help with a late checkout that I had sought guidance on before I went and proved problematic in the hotel. The food at breakfast was pretty low quality and the coffee was not great. I suppose as the hotel is where it is there is alot of demand but I did not experience the quality that I thought spending over £1200 for 3 nights would bring.

I really enjoyed my stay at this hotel! First of all, the location is just perfect, because it is next to the main subway stations and walking distance both from Penn Station and from all the main attractions in Midtown (Times Square, New York Public Library, Fifth Avenue, etc.). Secondly, the rooms are spacious, quiet, and comfortable, and some of them are in fact small studio-apartments that are fully furnished with all the kitchen equipment (silverware, cups, dishes, sink, fridge, microwave, and dishwasher). In addition, the rooms on the top floors (30-34 floors) offer superb views of the Empire State Building and while at check-in you can ask the staff to be accommodated in those rooms (if they are available) without being charged an extra fee. Finally, the breakfast is complete, varied, and delicious! It is very convenient and useful to have a spacious room fully furnished with all the kitchen equipment (silverware, cups, plates, microwave, sink, fridge, dishwasher). However, the dishwasher did not dry off properly and was full of water, which made it unusable and inconvenient.

I must say, the hotel Exceeded my expectations! Customer service was exceptional. From the time we entered the property, we were greeted with great customer service. I wish I had gotten everyone's name that worked during that weekend, bc they were great! The service during breakfast was also exceptional!! The food choices were perfect and the staff never missed a beat!! Thanks for a great home away from home. Next time we are on New York, we will definitely stay here again.

I was trying tell him I had called before arriving he said they were now totally booked. Unfreakingbeliveable!

The hotel was clean, but pretty run down. Our toilet chain kept coming loose, and two of our cabinet drawers were off the hinges, our tub had also been patched up several times. The staff was friendly and very nice, and we didn’t feel like changing rooms so we didn’t complain, but the hotel definitely needs to be updated soon.

Great location!! Perfect room for our needs. My only problem was I asked to have our AC looked at because it wouldn’t go below 72. They said they would send someone and no one ever came. Had to buy a fan
- 4/5
The room was clean and the beds were very comfortable. Staff was nothing but kind and helpful. Property could definitely use refurbishment though. And two out of three treadmills in the gym were unusable.
- 4/5
For NYC hotel with kitchenette, the room size is descent, but that is just my opinion. Sofa bed, when you folded out, takes up a quite a bit of room, and it’s not thick mattress. I thought only light weight children could manage to sleep there if you are staying there more than 2 nights without hurting your back. Overall, the hotel location was convenient, within walking distance to Times Square, 5th Ave, and Bryant park/NYC library, the Union station, and Empire building/Korean town. Subway station is across from the hotel (that entrance/exit closes on the weekends, however).

It is ok low to mid level hotel - nothing "Marriott" about it anymore. Staff is excellent but like many New York properties, maintenance and constant upkeep can only get you so far. At some point a complete refresh is needed.

Everything was perfect. The room was clean, the staff was friendly, and the overall experience was great. The highlight was definitely the breakfast — it was delicious and had such a wide variety, better than most hotels I’ve stayed at. Great location and friendly staff. Their system wasn’t working at our arrival, all of the staff at the front and the manager were focusing into make it work again and were very friendly and organized while this was happening, not only with us, but with other guest that wanted to buy from the small shop by them. Kudos for a great team.

This was the second time our family has stayed here and once again we had a great visit. The staff are so friendly and helpful. The breakfast is very good. The location is terrific - a 10-minute walk from both Penn and Grand Central stations, easy to walk to Times Square and the theater district, and also easy to get to many different Subway lines. We would definitely stay here again.

Great location. The staff was outstanding. Room was perfect for three people
- 5/5
It was a great location for our NYC trip. We were able to check in early. Our room was just what we needed.
- 5/5
The room was spacious enough for the 3 persons in my family, considering it is located on time square. No in/out privileges for parking was a bit concerning but an overall great stay!
- 5/5
Good
- 5/5
Room was clean and comfortable. Staff was helpful & friendly. And unlike many NYC hotels, there were numerous elevators. The hotel is also centrally located for all of the things we needed.
- 5/5
Excellent staff and breakfast and location
- 5/5
Excellent breakfast and location. Very well trained and helpful staff.
- 5/5
The desk staff made me feel welcome from the moment I walked in and throughout the whole stay. Housekeeping was polite, friendly and helpful.
- 2/5
Very old building. AC didn’t work well. Sofa bed was terrible. Service was bad
- 5/5
We had a wonderful stay. Buffet breakfast on the 3rd floor was amazing. So many options
- 5/5
Everything Nothing
- 5/5
Breakfast was very good, lots of options (we loved the grits). Very friendly staff. The king suite was spacious. The couch pull out was more springs than bed, extremely uncomfortable.
- 5/5
Great location, clean rooms, excellent breakfast with nice views.
- 5/5
For our family of four this place was perfect! So much room in our room considering we were in New York. A small kitchenette along with a small table with chairs. The breakfast was top tier.
- 5/5
Staff was great, hotel was very clean, breakfast buffet selection was great, I’ll definitely be back!
- 3/5
It was great to be able to leave the luggage there before checking in. The breakfast is good, but very busy
- 4/5
Everything was ok
- 4/5
Great location in Midtown near Bryant Park and Times Square. The staff was very friendly and helpful. It's hard to find a a NYC hotel room that isn't tiny, and having a kitchen with a full-sized fridge is great. Even though the hotel was very busy, it was always nice and quiet on our floor. We were able to do laundry which was great since we were traveling for over a week and didn't want to check bags. It's a good location for both business travelers and families. The hotel decor feels a bit dated but it didn't impact the stay much since the rooms were spacious, comfortable, and clean.
- 5/5
We had a wonderful experience! Great location and amazing staff.
- 2/5
Breafast really good but the Room to small and the Sofa cama not comfortable
- 5/5
This was a great stay, reserving 2 nearby rooms for 4 adults and 2 kids. Large rooms for NYC, really great breakfast, wonderful staff. Nice laundry area with lots of washers/dryers was super helpful in the middle if a long trip!
- 5/5
Very nice staff
- 4/5
The hotel was bit old, drawer was keep opening by itself. Great breakfast buffet. Staffs were all nice and kind. Great location and would come back again.
- 5/5
Room was disent, mattress and pillows were very comfortable. We were on 32 floor, elevators were always working and fast, good water pressure. Stuff was helpful. We feel safe in this hotel.
- 5/5
i stayed in a king studio with sofa bed. the sofa bed was not the most comfortable, but otherwise the hotel was great. really good breakfast though one wants to go there early, before it gets too crowded
- 5/5
The staff is was professional, helpful, efficient and very courteous. The unit was spacious and clean, and it was great having the kitchen and a separate sitting area. Breakfast was well stocked with a good variety of food. And, the location is the best - next to leafy and lively Bryant Park, walking distance to Broadway, a major subway station on the next block for easy rides to museums, athletic events, etc. We always stay here on our trips from the Pacific NW.
- 4.5/5
Location, big rooms, clean, nice staff Elevator can be crowded during breakfast time
- 5/5
Clean room and spacious.
- 5/5
Great Location
- 5/5
It was all very good. Sergio Requena was GREAT! He was so kind & courteous. Always had a smile on his face. He brought joy & laughter to our stay. Would highly recommend him for a good raise & recognition for his kindness & smile!!!
- 5/5
Fantastic location and breakfast
- 4/5
Spacious room, substantial breakfast options, good location near Bryant Park. Very satisfied with our stay.
- 5/5
Lifts are very noisy though, but didnt bother us too much as we only came to the room to sleep and too tired to stay awake
- 5/5
Breakfast was amazing!! So many options, very fresh and different everyday. Staff were all very nice and helpful. Room was clean and big. Great location. No complaints
- 3/5
The lack of cleanliness, minimal housekeeping, bathroom setup was tight
- 3/5
No complimentary bottled water in the hotel besides in gym area
- 5/5
Great staff, clean rooms. Not flashy but great hotel for suites and location.
- 5/5
breakfast was hot and tasty every morning. Get to the buffet early otherwise you will not find a seat to sit
- 4/5
Clean room, breakfast was great. Pull out couch was not comfortable at all.
- 5/5
Great location, safe and quiet. Decent facilities and very friendly and helpful staff.
- 5/5
Staff was wonderful and propety location is great central location.
- 5/5
Friendly and helpful staff. Great breakfast! Comfortable room! Ideal location!
- 2/5
Microwave made super loud noice we had to call maintenance for repair. Our room is nearby the elevator so we could hear them going up and down nonstop. Wall is super this we could hear conversations from room next door. The worst part is the elevator. Trying to get down between 8 to 11:30 was a nightmare. We waited for 25 minutes to finally able to get down. It took the tenth elevator for us, a family of 4, to get to the lobby. This happened several times during our stay.
- 4/5
Great place but the internet is extremely slow
- 3/5
The elevators are the biggest problem with this hotel. They are small and often get overloaded during the breakfast rush. They warn about this but it’s still a downfall for this hotel. The breakfast is ok but the seating is really weird since it’s in a bar area. The location of the hotel is good near Times Square, subway stations and Bryant Park.
- 5/5
Clean room, great breakfast
- 5/5
You can’t beat the location - but most importantly it’s the staff that delivered A+ service from the front desk staff to housekeeping and the manager. Highly recommend!
- 5/5
Clean
- 5/5
The front desk staff were extremely friendly and helpful. The staff that cleaned our room did an excellent job, and went above by making our bed with my granddaughters stuffed animals on it . Super cute! The location is also fantastic.
- 5/5
Great
- 5/5
Great location, nice hotel, special praise to the receptionist Sandra who is really professional and helpful!
- 4/5
The people at the front desk were cut and dry. Not a welcome feeling
- 5/5
We had a wonderful experience. All staff from front desk, door man, breakfast, housekeeping were friendly, hospitable and accomodating. It contributed to a good trip!
- 5/5

Great location, great staff. The rooms were spacious. The breakfast was great. We will definitely be back.
- 3/5
Clean room, fresh breakfast, elevator wait times too long
- 5/5
We loved our stay. The front desk staff were amazing! The room was clean and very nice. The breakfast was great and all of the staff in the breakfast area were very friendly and kept the tables clean. I highly recommend this property if visiting NYC.
- 4/5
Clean room and great staff. My only complaint is their pull out couch. The mattress was awful! It was like laying on uneven rocks. These definitely need replaced as they seem to be as old as the hotel. Everything else was good.
- 5/5
Awesome breakfast every morning.
- 5/5
Location is great for Broadway shows and easy access to multiple subway lines.
- 4/5
Room could use some updating but overall nice and would definitely stay there again.

The staff were wonderful, the food was great, and a good location too Everything was within walking distance. we enjiyed our stay
- 5/5
Check in staff was a lot of fun, the hotel itself is an ideal location. We'd book it again.
- 3/5
The breakfast area furniture dirty.
- 5/5
Spotless, clean and had everything needed
- 4/5
Everything was excellent! Staff was super helpful and nice. Only issue i faced - WiFi in the room was not working at all. Had to go to the lobby for WiFi access.
- 5/5
Amazing stay! The staff was wonderful and the room was perfect! The breakfast was an added bonus every morning!
- 4/5
The staff were always welcoming and helpful, our room was nice and clean, the location was great, and we were on a high floor so we weren't bothered by street noise.
- 3/5
The room was fine and location great but I would never stay here again. The elevators are SO LOUD!! Literally sounds like you are in a subway station. There are only 10 rooms a floor so it is hard to be far away from them. Im not a light sleep but we never got a good nights sleep. They need to provide sound machines.
- 4/5
Everything was nice. No real issues. Typical elevator weights. Weird smell in the lobby and halls but hey it’s New York.
- 5/5

Excelente experiencia.
- 5/5
Nice staff, good breakfeast and very clean rooms.
- 5/5
Loved the hotel so much we decided to extend our stay instead of moving to another part of manhattan for the second part of our trip. The perfect location walking distance to every broadway show, clean, safe, great breakfast and accommodating staff.
- 5/5
Exceeded all our expectations - great location near Bryant Park, close to subway stop (42 St-Bryant Pk), near whole foods & lots of dining options.
- 5/5
Great place!!

The room was perfect and everything else was good too
- 5/5
Very clean , staff was happy and very helpful the entire time .

Not friendly staff
- 5/5
Such an awesome experience in my stay. Staff was great and Merrick (I believe that was his name) was amazing at the front desk! He helped me at check in and I received the best customer service in all my years! Thank you for making us feel welcome and being such an amazing human being.
- 5/5
Everything was perfect, great attention, breakfast was really good!
- 3/5
Location was nice and room was spacious and clean. Could hear the elevator all night from our room and breakfast on the weekend was barely edible.
- 4/5
Kind staff, nicce view, and great location
- 4/5
The customer service at this location was impeccable. People were friendly, helped us resolve a room matter quickly and without issue, helped when needed.
- 5/5
Everything was perfect! Staff was delightful. Room was spotless. Breakfast was delicious, but note they do close breakfast at EXACTLY 9:30. Plan to get to the buffet by 9.
- 3/5
Staff was wonderful..
- 4/5
The staff was amazing! We were upgraded to a beautiful room on the 26th floor looking at the Empire State Building. The room was huge by New York standards. It was our first trip to NYC! So the upgrade was so appreciated. The breakfast was way better than I expected, and I enjoyed eating it every day! Lots of choices and the staff worked hard to refill and clean up around everyone. The staff really went above and beyond to make sure that our stay was enjoyable and helped us get a route to where we wanted to go.

- 5/5
I had a truly excellent stay at this hotel. The property was beautiful, exceptionally clean, and very welcoming. The staff was incredibly kind and provided outstanding service throughout my visit. The breakfast was rich, varied, and of a very high standard. The hotel’s location was perfect and made it easy to get around the city. As someone who needed to work from the room, I was very impressed with the facilities: a proper workspace, kitchenette, microwave, refrigerator, and coffee corner. The beds were comfortable and spotless, making the stay even more pleasant. I will definitely return to this hotel and highly recommend it to anyone visiting New York.
- 5/5
The room was spacious, clean, and beautiful. Perfect location. The staff was super friendly. We had a problem with the bathroom the last night, and they resolved it in less than 10 minutes. The breakfast was very varied, and the area was comfortable.
- 4/5
Comfortable, large rooms, friendly staff, top location
- 5/5
Location and service exellent. Just elevator noise that was loud
- 5/5
Great location for our stay in New York the room and amenities were perfect for our needs will definitely come back to this hotel
- 5/5
Amazing as always.
- 5/5
Excellent service
- 5/5
All of the above
- 5/5
Housekeeping was excellent and responsive. Suite had useful kitchen. Bell staff held luggage after check out. Lots of breakfast choices.
- 3/5
The heating wasn’t working adequately, our room was quite cold (60 even though the heating was set to 70 it wouldn’t warm up). Otherwise the location is great, the breakfast was good and the staff were friendly.
- 4/5
Large room
- 1/5
Many things could greatly improve but most of all safety. We had someone messing with are lock and wouldn't stop. I ment down to the front desk and no one would talk to me until they found a manager. Who then said he had no idea what was going on he just got there. I was given that someone had keys stolen so they had to change some locks MAYBE. Never got a return call or explanation. Breakfast was a mess and ran out within the first hour. Called for more towels 2 times and got them 6 hours later. Elevator was broken so the wait was 20 min each time if you were lucky. Stairs were not an option to go up. It was dirty, windows, elevators and carpets were not up kept. Very disappointing with how much it was
- 5/5
The front desk staff his so nice and accommodating. Great view!
- 5/5
Great location if you want to be by Times Square and broadway. Staff was Great, all of them!

Everything was good!
- 5/5
The elevator was slow . Stopped on every floor during breakfast even though was full
- 5/5
Staff was great and friendly. Room was nice, spacious & clean. Only issue was the toilet didn’t flush properly , but overall a great stay at affordable pricing! Plan to book again in the future !
- 5/5
Great clean hotel
- 5/5
- 5/5
Location is great- having a kitchen while in the city is a nice addition
- 5/5
Breakfast variety needed as well as a consistent standard with taste. Room was clean but the general feel of the hotel seems a bit dated. Staff were extremely friendly and helpful BUT I must specifically mention Sergio who was EXCEPTIONAL at what he does!! 🙏
- 5/5
Room was great, staff were friendly and very helpful. Will definitely be coming back
- 5/5
Clean room, professional staff, location.
- 5/5
I recommend this hotel if in New York. Its all about location, location, location!
- 5/5
clean room yes, and staff attentive. Breakfast great. Love the location its in walking distance to Bryant Park and Whole Foods.
- 5/5
Breakfast only ok. Staff super awesome. We will be back!
- 3/5
Not recommended. The entire property needs an upgrade and functional elevators.
- 5/5
Friendly staff, easy valet parking and check out
- 4/5
Great location, friendly and knowledgeable staff. We felt valued as guests.
- 5/5
Hot water after a very cold day .staff was helpful and pleasant. Breakfast was the same everyday but hot and tasty. I love Marriott hotel's.
- 5/5
Good time
- 5/5
Location and friendly staff made our last minute NYC trip a blast.
- 5/5
great location and clean amenities and rooms
- 2/5
The hotel is in a great location and staff is friendly. Rooms are not so great, very outdated, kitchen was full of ants, toilet clogged multiple times, and it takes 15 min for elevator so take that in to consideration if you need to be somewhere on time. We missed breakfast due to waiting on elevator.
- 5/5
The room was clean, also the sheets and the bath. I will say that maybe breakfast could be a little bit more different kind of foods. On the other hand the elevators were really slow, they are old but sometimes it gets chaotic
- 4/5
Staff
- 5/5
Super convenient location for sightseeing. The breakfast buffet is good.
- 4/5
Excellent location and staff. Will stay there on my next visit.
- 4/5
Everything was good except the elevator. Looks like they were old and sometimes struggled with the switches to turn on.

- 4/5
Valet was a bit confusing. One small sign and lots of cars parked all which way. They definitely needed more help there. Check in was very easy. Nice staff. The room was very outdated but suited our needs with one exception. The pull out couch was terrible. It was as if i was laying on springs. I called and asked for a comforter thinking that would soften the metal poking in my body but they delivered a light mattress pad cover instead. For the price of the room, they need to do better and get new mattresses for the couch. Bathroom is small. View was wonderful. Breakfast was definitely the best part. Great variety and hot. Awesome staff.
- 5/5
Clean room and friendly staff.
- 4/5
The room was good in spaces I had a good location.
- 4/5
Staff was so nice and pleasant
- 5/5
Room was clean, staff were courteous. We hope there would be more options for breakfast. Overall, we enjoyed our stay a lot!
- 4/5
The elevators were not working
- 4/5
The room was clean and the staff was amazing.
- 5/5
Great place to stay :)
- 5/5
Great location, very clean room, staff extremely courteous
- 3/5
We were also given different guidance about what time to be outside for the parade; staff suggested 6:30 a.m., but we learned you really need to be out there by around 5:30 a.m. to get a front-row spot. The hotel was kind enough to extend a 12 p.m. checkout, which we appreciated. However, after the parade, my daughter ended up walking up 22 flights of stairs because the elevators were so busy, only to find that her room key no longer worked. None of this ruined our stay, but a bit more clarity and coordination from the front desk would make the experience much smoother for guests, especially on such a busy holiday.
- 3/5
The choices over the weekend were much better than Monday morning breakfast. We had a suite by the elevator, very noisy and extremely busy, waited 5-10 minutes several times. Suite wasn’t any bigger than a regular room, the sofa bed was terrible to sleep on. The good things were the water was hot all the time. It was clean and staff was very friendly and helpful! The bed was comfortable.
- 5/5
Thank you the staff was excellent great location happy holidays
- 5/5

Clean and comfortable room. Friendly staff. Superb location
- 5/5
The receptionist I checked in with was very nice & accomidsting.
- 5/5
Amazing!?!
- 5/5
Friendly staff, very clean room, nice breakfast, great stay
- 5/5
The front desk staff were friendly and helpful. The location was great!
- 5/5
- 3/5
This hotel needs a lot more elevators for the amount of rooms it houses. Waiting 45 min for an available elevator (one was down) was ridiculous). Once I finally got to my room, many of us had our key cards shut off at 10 even though check out was at 11. So after another 30 min wait for the elevator, I was able to get my key reset and get to my room. Basically wasted a morning trying to do what should have taken me 15 min at most.
- 5/5
The room was clean and the cleaning staff did a great job. The staff in general were very welcoming and friendly. Erhan (I’m sure I’m misspelling) the bartender was exceptional: friendly, fun, and great at his job.
- 5/5
Great location, friendly staff, good breakfast with many options.
- 5/5
Very attentive and friendly staff! A true definition of hospitality. This property is well managed and staffed with good and wholesome individuals who really care about their guests. They made my daughter's 18th birthday stay, one for the books! Amazing! Andre, Regina, and the night staffers were our angels!
- 2/5
Habitación, las Instalaciónes y que más de 15 minutes esperar para esperar el elevador.
- 5/5
FABULOUS! Super comfortable, very clean, friendly and helpful staff, excellent breakfast, all-around grand slam! We would love to come back again.
- 4/5
Room was clean and made up everyday. Location is excellent and close to everything with Bryant Park across the street, was very nice. I would stay there again.
- 4/5
Excellent location for times square. Hotel staff helpful. Breakfast was good. Room a little dated but OK.
- 5/5
The staff was so friendly. The location was perfect! Lits to do and eat.
- 5/5
Perfect location for navigating throughout the city. Close to transportation and an easy walk to many sights. Breakfast was great, however they began closing a half hour before it was time so be sure to go early. Be prepared to wait for an elevator on Sunday morning so plan ahead and budget extra time to get out of the hotel. The staff was great and the room was spacious and clean. Beds are a little small for couples but not a deal breaker. Definitely worth staying here!
- 5/5
Very good hotel, perfect location!!!
- 5/5
The staff are amazing and so friendly. The area is perfect! We were so close to EVERYTHING.
- 3/5
the stay and service were good. The room needs attention/renovation/maintenance.
- 5/5
Great location plenty of options for breakfast and the staff was very helpful!!

Perfect Location!
- 5/5
Excellent location and staff was very helpful.
- 5/5
Shops nearby, walkable
- 5/5
We had no idea breakfast was included, what a pleasant surprise!
- 5/5
Great staff!!!! Front desk staff were professional and helpful every time we needed assistance. The included breakfast saved us time (and money) each morning as we were rushing to try and reach all of our scheduled activities during our 5 day stay in NYC. The hotel is located far enough from Times Square to avoid all of the noise and congestion but a short 5 min walk away if we wanted to go there. Metro subway stations are just across the street and we used that to go uptown and downtown with ease. We are already planning our next trip to Manhattan and definitely will be staying here again.
- 2/5
Checked into first room without problem. Toilet was running very loudly every five mins. Called and asked for maintenance. After an hour without any attention I called again. An hour after that I was told I would be moved to another room. The room I was moved to had no amenities, empty soap dispenser in the shower, flat pillows, thread bare towels, a balled up comforter. All of this, and it was not located to a room with a view that I paid an up-charge for. I finally got a hold of the manager who told me I would be comped a night. But that never happened. Will not likely stay here when I’m NyC next time.
- 5/5
Outstanding service
- 5/5
Great stay. Staff was probably the friendliest bunch we has experienced in a while. We told them it was our son’s 18th birthday and they surprised us with a cake and a NYC hat. They remembered us all week long and helped with any questions. Hotel was clean and walking distance to everything.
- 5/5
Very accessible area!
- 5/5
We had a wonderful stay! The breakfast buffet was excellent with great variety, and the ambience made mornings so enjoyable. Our room was spacious for the area and came with very convenient amenities like a dishwasher and microwave, which was perfect for traveling with kids. The staff were helpful and cooperative, valet service was smooth, and overall everything felt convenient and well taken care of. I would definitely choose this hotel again on my next trip to the city.
- 4/5
Front desk staff were welcoming and helpful
- 4/5
Always my first choice of stay when I'm in New York. I love it!
- 5/5
Fantastic location. Super friendly staff. Very comfortable beds.
- 5/5
I love to stay everything was good and love the service real polite the front desk , everything is closed by and valet parking good i stay alot of hotel around a good one but this one definitely will my place evey time i come to ny thanks plls
- 3/5
The hotel is worn anlthough in working order. We were on a lower floor, and the street traffic and the elevator machinery were very loud at night. The staff was good on the most part. Too few elevators for the number of rooms and floors.
- 3/5
Clean room, worn out but utilitarian, decent breakfast, awful wait for elevators in the morning. If you get a lower floor there is no noise insulation from the street, and from the elevator machinery.
- 4/5
Very convenient to all the tourists like us
- 5/5
Centrally located. Love having a microwave and refrigerator in the room. Very comfortable bed
- 4/5
The staff was all friendly and helpful, the beds were comfortable, and the room was quiet. Housekeeping was consistent and good.
- 5/5
Excellent location to time square
- 5/5
Great staff
- 5/5
Everything was amazing, great rooms and views.
- 5/5
Great location. Staff was friendly and cooperative. Breakfast was good.
- 4/5
Subway stop across the street. Less crowded than either avenue in all directions so very central location. Breakfast crowd ties up elevator is unfortunate. Bathroom door exacerbates sardine can confinement feeling . . . two words: pocket door!
- 5/5
Aptly located in Midtown Manhattan, super friendly staff!
- 4/5
Stayed at this hotel for 6 nights. Hotel is in the perfect location. 5 minutes to the Times Square and across street from Bryant park. Lots of places to eat around and lots of POIs are close by. Breakfast is decent but it is always crowded. Every hotel room has a small kitchen with full size fridge which was a big plus for a family with kids. Other than that, room shows its age definitely. Everything in the room feels old. We left the AC on 24/7 but it never gets cool enough. We couldn't get the room temperature below 76F. Bathroom was small and dirty. Location of the sink and toilet should be switched. We mentioned so many times that it is inconvenient to use the sink b/c it's hidden in the back of the door. Shower was clean but water pressure was bad. We had 2 double beds. Beds were Simmons and were comfortable, but the bed sheets were not that high quality. What keeps the hotel get high marks is the people who work there. We had pleasant experience at the front desk, maids, 3rd floor bfast buffet, and etc. Overall, the stay was satisfactory, and we enjoyed the trip to NY.
- 5/5
Superb
- 5/5
Beautiful, very clean and the staff is very nice
- 2/5
The air conditioning didn't work so we walked into 89 degrees, they came and fixed it - woke up to 78 and knocking on the door (815) asking if they can clean our room. We were still sleeping.
- 5/5
We had an amazing stay

Great location
- 5/5
Staff is amazing, room size is great for NYC and the breakfast is FANTASTIC! Highly recommend!!
- 4/5
Great location, friendly and helpful staff, only issue we had was breakfast was very busy and there was nowhere to sit
- 2/5
My family arrived at 1 AM and the front desk staff was very rude with them, making them wait 2 hours for their rooms. They lied about many things as their credit cards were not passing through and it was exhausting and abusive since they didn’t speak fluent English.
- 5/5
It’s so good
- 5/5
Staff was friendly and the hotel was clean. Overall, a pleasant stay.
- 5/5
Loved the location and breakfast buffet. Can't wait to come back again!
- 5/5
Very friendly and helpful hotel staff, excellent breakfast
- 5/5
Very good location. Service was good. The shower curtain was old and smelled very bad.
- 2/5
The bathroom was horrible due to the toilet being broken and making so much noise and you can’t hardly sleep. As well as bugs in the kitchen area, where I kept on seeing them and I had to kill them so you can’t leave Food on the counter.
- 5/5
Nice hotel, excellent location & helpful staff. Great breakfast choice & we loved the waffle makers 👍Wish I could have brought the bed home to UK with me! 😆
- 4/5
Service man was very friendly One negative. We could hear the elevators running throughout our stay.
- 5/5
Great motel & location

Hotel was clean but needs to be remodeled. The air conditioner in our original room never worked. It read at 78° for a few nights. Maintenance came to try to fix it, but they never did. Then maintenance was supposed to come and replace the unit but they never did. Finally the night manager on our third night. I think his name was Ricardo, when I called to tell them about the temperature being high, he was on the impression that the unit was replaced, but after I told him it wasn't, he immediately changed us to another room. I was so grateful for him.

Room furniture and bathrooms a bit tired but very clean

We were in the city for a business trip. In the 5 nights, we called for service 3 times. The toilet was not flushing properly when we m arrived, there was not any conditioner and the a/c stopped working on our last day. We did t call for body wash as we expected it to be checked daily so we used shampoo for our body. When we called, the issue was fixed promptly and we appreciate it. It did seem that the a/c filter needed to be replaced as it was very dirty. We’d suggest we’d suggest updating the unit as it was not a $400 a night room. It did seem as though one elevator was not working.

Good neighborhood and breakfast

Great location. A little dingey.

Nothing special about the room or breakfast

Room wasn't great. AC didn't really work and so it was always 78 degrees or more. Pull out sofa was the worst thing I'd slept on, you could feel all the bars. Gym only had a few free weights and cardio machines. I never got a chance to try the breakfast and the elevators were always crowded. Bathroom was TINY. Corner room with city views wasn't worth what you were seeing. VERY loud outside (but I suppose that's New York). Mostly it came down to the bed/heat that really made staying here pretty miserable. THANKFULLY the first two days the temps outside were lower so we opened a window, but the last day the low was 80 and our room just never cooled down. No we didn't call because it was 1 in the morning and we just wanted to sleep. I wouldn't stay here again, I'd try somewhere else.

Checkin and checkout was quick and easy. The breakfasts offered plenty of options and everything was good. Room was spacious and provided everything we needed. Staff was always quick to assist if we needed anything.

I am thankful that they gave me a credit for the 1 night stay.

Location

The staff were very friendly, and incredibly helpful with directions. My primary complaint would be the fold out couch/bed. It was truly awful. I was basically sleeping on springs.

Property was fine, clean and staff were helpful. I did not like the elevators we had to wait long times to take an elevator. I don't know if the elevators were out of service I did not see any signs. The Elevators were always very busy and we were in the 32nd floor. During breakfast time the elevators were worst. Breakfast was good and complete. Overall everything else was fine.

Worst check-in process in my entire life. When we arrived they didn't have a room for us and excused themselves that doing it through expedia doesn't guarantee the room we requested and paid for. We were 3 people and gave us a King bed. The following day, when we requested to change rooms they told us to bring our stuff downstairs and wait until 4pm to check-in in a new room. Awful staff service and zero empaty. It ruined our trip for the first few days. I cannot stress how poorly we were treated and how bad it made our stay (2nd room had ants)

I will definitely stay there again! Staff was great, excellent customer service!! In person and over the phone.

Overall, we really enjoyed our stay. Nice slightly older hotel, location is really good near subway lines and Times Square. Room felt like 200 square feet instead of 300 square feet, but I guess that's typical for Midtown Manhattan.Really nice breakfast buffet included and they let us check in 2 hours early at no extra cost so props to he staff.

It is pricey for the kind of service. You are paying for the convenience of being able to be within walking distance to the theater district. Not much food choices in the buffet. Bathroom was small. Valet parking charges $65 per day.

Excellent

The location was excellent. The hotel needs to improve the elevators - they look old and worn out.

The biggest issue was the elevators in the a.m I waited 20 minutes for the elevator on two occasions I walked down 5 flights of stairs after wait 20 minutes for the elevator.

I would stay here again, great hotel and location.

The room was comfortable and located in a central area to visit many places. The complimentary breakfast is a plus but they should upgrade the coffee. The front desk and the parking staff were courteous and helpful. I will definitely choose it again in the future.

Convenient place to stay steps away from Times Square. Great location and great breakfast options. Spacious rooms. Cleanliness could have been better.

Excellent location and staff. Room was great and so was the free breakfast.

This has been one of the most welcoming staff I've encountered in a LONG time! The front desk staff were extremely friendly and helpful when we asked for recommendations. They were on point. We traveled with our two teenage boys so the microwave and table came in handy We had issues with our original room on the 32nd floor. We called the front desk twice and they sent someone to fix the AC issue, but by the third time we called, they offered to switch rooms without me requesting. Our second room on the 12th floor was more comfortable. The breakfast had options for all of us and was filling. The hotel was near a subway entrance and within walking distance of Times Square, Central Park (longer distance), and plenty of yummy places to eat. We will return in December to take in the New York Christmas sights and plan to stay at the Residence Inn.

Enjoyed my stay. The room and hotel were very clean. The free breakfast was great, lots of options. Hotel was very close to everything.

Excellent location

This hotel had the loudest elevators I've ever heard. Unfortunately due to the narrow foot print on each floor, most of the rooms are close to the elevators. The elevators make a loud roar with a clack clack clack sound. It made sleep difficult. The literally made the room vibrate. If you want a restful night sleep, find another hotel.

Can I start with BREAKFAST? Nothing I've ever experienced in a hotel. Huge area, variety of hot meats, hot and cold items, variety of fruit, juices, muffins and breads. Belgian Waffles AND COFFEE CHOICES. Good grief! All the staff truly got my mornings started with a smile. .. THE ROOM. #609. Very comfy bed and variety of pillows. Our Queen Studio room had a pull out sofa bed, kitchenette with full size frig, toaster, microwave, coffee, large counter amenities. Plenty of sq. ft. for two and three people - and in the heart of MANHATTAN and TIMES SQUARE. Nice bathroom. All the hot water you could want. Excellent customer service from the start from all of the staff. Thanks again to EZRA, OUSMAN, YVONNE & SAM for going above and beyond. CAN YOU TELL? I highly recommend this excellent hotel.

The staff was very knowledgeable and helpful. We were walking distance to Times Square and the Amtrak station. Breakfast was good with nice city views.

the location is very convenience

AC was non functional for 2 days, and they didn't even notice it. When we noticed and complained, they checked it but no one came to fix it. I'll give them crest for offering to move us to a different room but with kids, we couldn't just move at night. Elevators are super slow and takes 10min sometimes, especially during breakfast time and lot of people were just using the stairs.
