The staff was great! My husband and I celebrated our 34th anniversary and when we arrived in our beautiful room, there a bunch of goodies for us and a card! Just the little things make everything a wonderful experience.

Great room, great location. No fridge which I was told there was one. Other than that it was good. I planned a room with decorations for a birthday. The card said happy birthday but the balloons said congratulations which I was a bit upset about but other than that it was good for the one night.

I’m definitely staying here again the next time I’m in the city, it was fabulous!

This was our third time staying here. We will continue to book here anytime we stay in midtown! We took advantage of valet parking this time and will continue to do so from now on. Rates were comparable to other nearby garages and it reduced some stress to have the hotel staff handle the logistics of parking. We had an issue with our shower not draining properly, but it was addressed and corrected right away. Clean, safe, convenient location, friendly staff. Thank you (again)!

Location is very central and super accessible. The room was clean and beds extremely comfortable! Staff is great and willing to help with any questions or requests. One of the best hotels I’ve ever stayed in! We were facing Madison square garden during playoffs so it was pretty noisy at night. We didn’t mind as we were very tired after long days out but could be a problem if you’re more sensitive.

Three Stars because the walls are waaaay too thin. Conversations in adjoining rooms were not loud, but could be heard clearly.

Location and hotel were great! Rooftop bar is not really " rooftop" bar but still nice but loud. Everything was great. It was a little loud outside during our first night with very loud music on the street, which is out of the control of the hotel.

The property was beautiful and inviting. We met friends for drinks and to watch the hockey game at the bar and wound up staying the night. The front desk staff helped me book last minute and was extremely courteous. We were given complimentary toothpaste and toothbrushes in the morning. The shower and toiletries were divine. I would definitely go back!

This is our homebase hotel whenever we travel to New York so we typically always stay here. Never have any complaints. Staff is amazing. Rooms are great highly recommend.

Easy to arrive from airport. Vent in the room was super loud. Our room was looking to a street super crowded. So there was a constant street-noise. Bed was well-cleaned but the rest of the room was not.

Great location, very modern, appealing interior design for both rooms as well as common areas. Surprisingly spacious rooms for NY standard. Super comfortable bed! While the concierge was incredibly friendly, the receptionists could pick up their game a bit. For a premium hotel and an not exactly cheap rate per night, I would expect a little better hospitality.

This is one of the best hotel to choose in NYC for the first time travel experience in NYC , if you wanna feel safe , everything is waking distance mostly and the service is amazing. And the view is breathtaking. This was a view from room 3410 - level 34 You can’t go wrong with it

A little note is that they need to add something for the new elevator system to let you know where it is and how long it will take after you order it. We had to wait unnecessarily for several 15 minutes at a time while not knowing if it’s coming. Not a good system. Several guests were complaining about this and it takes away from a great hotel experience. Also bar and restaurant are great.

Really cosy, great views- stayed on the 35th floor. They also gave me a lovely birthday card. Room was always clean and tidy before you could blink. Towels replaced very frequently. Staff also ready to help always. Amazing hotel! Very good location as well. Didn’t really hear much about their food/spa services

Great location! Friendly and helpful staff. Room service was quick and we enjoyed the food. Just a couple negatives: towels were rough (we didn't ask for new ones), TV was very laggy, we could hear many noises from the building (like people pulling down their blinds, other odd sounds). The positives outweighed the negatives. We were so busy in the city that we didn't do anything besides stay in our room when we came back to the hotel. If we go again, I would use the pool and check out the restaurant in person. We heard it had cool views

The room was so small. It had a sliding bathroom door that didn’t close all the way and provided no privacy. There was a very odd glass wall in the shower that showed an outline of the person showering to the rest of the room

Rooms need refreshing. Lighting is dated and should be replaced.

Also, when you turn on the bathroom light, it lights up the whole room because the bathroom walls allow light to pass through. The hotel is in a great location and the view from the room was great.

Good location. That a brand new sweatshirt from Aritzia was taken from my room and the manager did absolutely nothing to help me out. They have video of me carrying the bag into the hotel. My family saw the bag on the floor in the room. Then day of check out it was no where to be found!!! Manager was not helpful. Treated me like I was the problem. Terrible way to treat a customer. I would never claim to have a missing bag if it were not true. I would never recommend this hotel to anyone. I paid around $3600 for 4 nights accommodations. The sweatshirt was $78. The manager offered me 0 compensation. He was more worried about his staff vs his customer. Terrible experience.

Clean and spacious room, location was perfect, close to metro station and center of NYC. Walking distance to Time square, Rockefeller center, Korea town, Central Park (or you can easily take metro). It was easy to check in, they can store your luggage if your room is not ready or checking out early but still want to explore the city. All the staff are nice and welcoming.

All staff very helpful. In the evening we took a taxi to & from restaurant & theater. Easy ride to theater district. If it wasn’t arctic cold conditions , we could have walked. I definitely would return. Room & shower spacious. Check out fast.

Few things which bode well: No microwave in the room and otherwise the whole facility. No water fountain - They do provide the small water bottles of 16oz but if you want to go for the avg water consumption of 3 litres per day, you would need to buy it from a store outside. Any floor was accessible without the key card which weird.

Concierge is located on 6th floor and staffs are polite & professional. I stayed on the 35th floor and has the non-blocking view of the skylights and away from any street noise. Room is clean with modern decor. I enjoy every moment of my stay and will definitely be my choice for future NY trips.

My husband and I really enjoyed our stay at the Renaissance New York Midtown Hotel. The location was excellent with quick and convenient access to Penn Station, the door staff and concierge were lovely and very helpful throughout our stay. The room itself had a great city view and was clean. The towels were fraying at the ends and seemed in need of replacement but otherwise things were fine. The only thing that could have been better was the smell in the main entry area and lobby on 6th floor. The diffusers are quite strong and smelled like a blend of cheap perfume and cannabis. Minor, but off-putting on arrival.

the hotel was nice, we had a great city view from our room. they do have rooms with two beds which is nice. Concierge was very helpful with advice and directions. Front desk was great too. The room was small and did not provide drawers and had glad doors which are not my favorite, but it works. The only concern was the area in front of the hotel was not very nice, often there were non-hotel guests/staff who were congregating around the flagpoles with a strong odor of pot that wafted into the bell desk area. I think the area should be restricted to hotel guests, employees and service providers. Overall I would still recommend the hotel, the location is good and overall was a great experience.

Surprisingly, we got a good nights sleep as it was not as noisey as I thoguht it might be. Friendly staff especially the lady at reception from Finland. Centrally located in Manhattan, right in the heart of the city with easy access to parking garage nearby and subway station. It’s a short walk to Times Square and many other attractions. The rooftop bar was very nice in the evening. The hotel is modern and clean. We enjoyed our stay at this hotel.

Excellent location, was in for a concert at MSG, a three minute walk from the hotel. Very easy walk to the Empire State Building, the Morgan Library, shopping on 5th, 6th and 7th Aves, and a little further to Top of the Rock. Everyone I came into contact with from the hotel was helpful, friendly and clearly interested in making my day and stay any easier. Room was very clean, maid service was top notch, staff in the hotel restaurant Versa were also very friendly and on top of it. Will definitely return to the Renaissance Midtown.

We enjoyed our stay at the Renaissance Hotel in Midtown Manhattan. It was a very modern hotel. The accommodations were fantastic. We ate at the hotel restaurant and everything we had was excellent. It has a fun trendy vibe. My only complaint was just the smell of weed and some homeless and panhandlers That were consistently on the street near the hotel.

I live in Ct. my train was got there at 11:30 am. I was ready to check in my luggage until 4 pm. The front desk person put me on priority. And as soon as I checked in my luggage and walked to get lunch, I got a call my room was ready.

There are two rugs in my room that are tattered. First night I tripped over the turned up rug.

Awesome landing spot for our whirlwind trip into the city for two days. Staff is amazing. Facility is beautiful and well appointed. Rooms are cozy but not New York small. Location is awesome- especially for anyone wanting to see a lot of the city in. Short period of time.

We moved to this hotel after an unpleasant experience at a different hotel. The staff was so nice and welcoming and immediately took our bags. You have to check in on the 6th floor and they helped call an elevator. The room was larger than expected for a NYC hotel and it was very clean and modern. Anytime we ran into a staff member, they were polite and friendly. I ordered room service which came quickly and was very good. The bathroom was big enough for 2 people to move around and the shower was a nice size. The only slight down side was the area. It did feel a little unsafe walking at night but inside the hotel, we felt very safe. We felt welcome at this hotel and would absolutely stay here again.

We got a surprise free upgrade at check in, which was very nice. The top-floor suite was great including the space, amenities and the view.

The property itself was great, bell staff great, but the stat was destroyed by the guests above us who made so much noise at all hours it wasn’t a peaceful stay. Sure there will be noise in a hotel but not loud bangs on the floor and tapping all hours all over the room and all through the night! The people above should have taken their x-games somewhere else. We complained to management and they claimed to have resolved the matter but it continued well until 1pm when we checked out. Management didn’t even offer to credit us for our stay which is the least they could’ve done. I won’t stay there again.

The property was clean, quiet and beautiful. The staff were nice and helpful. Close to Times Square, the Vessel and Central Park. One thing that could improve is the toiletries.

Check-in ahead of time was easy and the front desk staff were very knowledgeable and efficient. The rooms were clean, but the complimentary lotions were dusty and looked a bit old. Being able to drop your car with the valet ($105/night at time of my stay) is a great convenience. That being said, there is parking within walking distance. I appreciated the smart fridge in the room so we could stash some waters and fruit. The restaurant on the 6th floor was a great place to grab a quick bite and escape the summer heat. The hotel is close to so much, we walked to Broadway within 10 minutes. One thing to note: the bathroom door has a gap even when shut all the way so make sure you are very comfortable with your traveling companions!

Standard New York Hotel. Great location. Lighting in rooms is very dim even with big windows. Shower knob hard to turn.

Very convenient location, right by Penn Station. Relatively affordable compared to other hotels in the area. My teen daughter and I stayed here to go to the Yankees game and we were able to catch the subway easily. The restaurant, Versa, has good food but service could have been better.

The hotel is under construction, floor by floor, through you don’t have the benefit of knowing this before booking through Expedia. Our room was newly renovated and on a high floor. Within 2 hours of settling in for the night, the bedside lamp caught fire. I quickly grabbed the cord to detach the lamp from the wall which could have caused a behind the wall electrical fire. We called the front desk. Who ever answered my 22 yo daughter couldn’t have cared less that we’d had a fire. They didn’t call the fire department to assure that the fire did not enter the building electrical system behind the wall. Nada. What they did is move our room. Exhausted we were too stupid and stayed the night. We checked out the next morning and moved hotels. The staff needs to be better trained.

The hotel itself is beautiful — stylish, modern, and with an incredible view. Communication was great from the start, and customer service was warm and professional. I appreciated the kind touches and attention during our short stay for a play. However, a few things caught us off guard. The rooftop parties were extremely loud at night, and we didn’t receive any advance notice. Thank you for the sleeping pills — I was young once too, so I get it — but a heads-up would’ve helped manage expectations. I also wasn’t aware that rooms are only fully cleaned every two days. The beds were made and fresh towels were provided, which was appreciated, but some areas needed more attention. The cups weren’t cleaned or replaced (we’re big tea and water drinkers), and the sink — where two makeup-wearers got ready each day — was untouched. We called housekeeping, and the manager kindly explained their policy and resolved the issue quickly. Lesson learned: I’ll pack Clorox wipes next time. I did share all this with management at checkout. Again, beautiful stay overall, but I would have appreciated a little more clarity on policies upfront.
