Reviews
The hotel has a great view and clean rooms, but there are issues with noise and some rooms have maintenance problems. The staff is generally friendly and helpful, but there are some complaints about unprofessional behavior and poor customer service.
- Great view

This place is smokes and mirrors. False advertising Terrible dodgy, diy wall repairs with holes in the wall and radiators noises If you ever get assigned room 203, run like the plague. You will get zero sleep. They are cheap, who keeps the hallway lights on off and turns them on a night. 0 star crap hole.
- 2/5
It has a unique vibe and location. Industrial next to East River with great view of Manhattan and Kotch bridge. Great place to party! Sucks if you need rest. Management knows and will/can do nothing about it. They need to be very up front about party environment, but they aren't, so they suck, and they know it. Suck town USA.
- 3/5
I was told that “we don’t serve breakfast and we wish they’d take that out of the advertising.”
- 2/5
The room was clean but upon arrival the elevators were both not functioning so I had to take the stairs with my bag. I was by the elevators and heard lots of noise like rolling carts since the floor isnt carpet. And in the morning I never got hot water even after letting it warm up. The pool and roof wasnt accessible during my stay either.

Great location! Would stay here again!
- 3/5
Love how the rooms are

Nice Hotel. Spacious Room

pool was not open during our stay and water ran cold. spacious room was nice. not in a good area and the train was a bit of a walk away
- 5/5
Great room overall love this hotel

Easily the worst hotel I’ve stayed in. From cleanliness to decor to in room amenities and general appearance, this hotel was hands down not acceptable at all. Wow.

- 3/5
I like the view, you were able to smoke on the balcony. Dirty ice machine, not a secure building, messed TV, Stains on the bed, loud music on the top floor, you can hear everybody’s door slam shut through the hallways
- 4/5
The view from the king city view rooms are worth it! And the staff was so accommodating and kind! A bit of a walk to the nearest subway line but not too bad and the cleanliness of the hallways could use some work
- 4/5
The location of this hotel makes for a pretty noisy stay but we are used to noise so it wasn't a detriment to our trip.
- 1/5
Make sure you bring your own water and refreshments. Hotel didn’t provide complementary water even when their vending machine was down, instead they want you to pay $7.00 for Voss water in a cooler next to the check in desk. Unacceptable.
- 5/5
Nicely designed Hotel, nice rooms. I only stayed for one night, so I didn't get an opportunity to take advantage of everything.
- 5/5
Even though we didn’t drive this time, there was ample parking available. The staff was very friendly and courteous and was able to assist with any issues we had. The views of the city skyline at night was amazing.
- 3/5
Parking appeared fine but few shops in walking distance
- 4/5
Decent place to stay.
- 5/5
Everything
- 5/5
Just a great place to stay
- 1/5
Located in an industrial area next to Queensborough bridge, thus very noisy (all night long). No services in the hotel and it is not near restaurants or shops. The room was disappointing and uncomfortable, it had a cold industrial look/feel. The faucet on the sink was so loose, it was almost falling off. The heavy glass doors separating the sleeping area from the bathroom were on rollers that required lots of effort to close and were LOUD. The few pillows provided are small, the mattress was hard. The WiFi cut in and out. Then we received two phone calls in the middle of the night from the front desk for no reason, waking us up.
- 5/5
The layout of the building’s exterior was really cool and it looks nice The bathroom didn’t have any heat ?
- 4/5
Nice stay. Beautiful view
- 5/5
Host / cleanliness / location / views
- 4/5
The balcony was amazing No microwave n the rooms , and t ice machine it was out of service.
- 5/5
Everything No bath tub
- 1/5
Don’t be fooled by the pictures. The pool is not available. There is no roof top access. There was also no bar or restaurant. The room we picked was unavailable. We got bump because of a wedding party. Another room was offered but it wasn’t worth it cause there was nothing to do. Had to reserve and check in elsewhere.
- 1/5
Staff was unhelpful.
- 5/5
Parking was secure. There is a cost to pay for parking.
- 5/5
Was able to find parking nearby. Literally right around the corner
- 4.5/5
Clean, well maintained, comfortable rooms with OUTSTANDING views of Manhattan and the Queensborough Bridge. N/A
- 4/5
Wonderful views, parking on site!
- 5/5
Parking was easy.
- 5/5
Close to transportation stops and anything you want to eat/drink/buy. Easy access to Queensboro walking/biking bridge to get to Manhattan if you’re looking to have a walk with a view while getting to Times Square or theaters for free. Clean enough, decent beds, recent updates so everything is pretty fresh looking. Room we had could use some more hooks/shelves in the bathroom and shower for convenience.
- 4/5
Considering there's not a very good selection for dining nearby, especially breakfast, I thought that the hotel should provide breakfast. Maybe Not the best for customers without cars. It's a long walk to the subway station.
- 5/5
The professionalism. THE Front desk will go above and beyond.
- 5/5
Amazing balcony
- 5/5
Excellent
- 4.5/5
Very nice hotel, refurbished, great staff - very helpful daily. Nice and very big spacious rooms, clean and with all the needed amenities. The hotel was nice enough to upgrade us for free to a bigger room. It's a 15min walk to a closest subway station
- 5/5
My boyfriend and I enjoyed our time here. The parking lot is very convenient and makes you feel safe leaving at night. 5/5 stay!
- 5/5
Staff were friendly and accommodating. The room was clean and modern.

- 5/5
The property is in good shape & clean. I like the fact , it is quiet and it has its tranquility era.
- 5/5
Picked property because they had hotel shuttle and when we called to get picked up they said they did not have one.
- 5/5
Website said hotel had hotel shuttle and they did not. Ended up getting Uber, but got hotel because it said it had one. All else was great.
- 5/5
It was great. I've been here several times
- 5/5
Location
- 2/5
Was placed in a separate building from main hotel. The room was not soundproof at all. The doors were very loud and slammed. Hallway was noisy, music blasting and people talking all hours of the night. Our experience was not as expected. The smell of weed being smoked in the hotel or maybe these were temporal apartments for people. Just seemed odd.
- 5/5
Our room was clean and tidy the staff where friendly and helpful
- 5/5
The room was very clean. The beds were super comfortable. The staff was very friendly. The view from the balcony was amazing!
- 3/5
Appreciated the clean room, value, and location. Door was annoyingly scrapping the floor badly when entering the room making a really loud noise, bed was very lumpy and uncomfortable. Better curtains to close out the light and for privacy would have been nice. Otherwise comfortable and fine.
- 5/5
Staff was great, manager was amazing. Definitely felt the hospitality and amazing service. Thank you for the upgrade!
- 3/5
Booked via Hotel.com, listed with free parking and free breakfast. None were provided and were an extra cost, which was upsetting because it was on the list of reason to choose and stay
- 5/5
Very nice hotel, beer garden on rooftop during spring and summer and the pools are open there in the summer as well. Love it !
- 2.5/5
Comfortable beds and clean modern rooms The very strong weed smell in the corridor outside my room. The smell traveled inside my room at times, very undesirable.
- 5/5
Clean room and the balcony was bigger than expected. Would stay again.
- 5/5
Always a great stay.
- 3/5
The location is away from restaurants, stores of any kind, and many transit options. The neighborhood is still very industrial feeling but is in transition. It’s a long walk to anything and it’s not The kind of neighborhood I wanted to walk around in after dusk. The hotel would better serve its guests if they had a more robust vending machine set-up or a small convenience store. They had some chips and waters, plus a small vending machine with candy, etc. The room was clean. The staff were polite and attentive. The city lights views from floors 3 and up are quite nice. The 5 story building (there are two) that we were in isn’t directly connected to the office/lobby/counter. You enter this building off the street or across the parking area. There are no electronic entry locks (the kind you unlock using a hotel key card) at these building entries. This means that anybody lurking around the area could just walk right into this unattended building from the street and either hang out in a nook or hallway or stairwell, etc. and of course get right onto the elevator—-which also is not protected by requiring a hotel room card —-and go to any floor of this unmanned/unstaffed building and hang out. In my view this demonstrates a disregard for the safety of their guests.
- 3/5
Good service (room cleaning), but hotel has definetely seen better days.
- 5/5

- 5/5
Great experience
- 5/5
Nice hotel
- 3/5
There was a heavy beeping sound on our first room and the second room we were given had the bathroom glass broken
- 5/5
Great stay! The room was super clean and the staff was friendly. Great place. Highly recommend.
- 1/5
Terrible sound proofing and inability to get guest to stop blasting music at 11pm on a Thursday.
- 5/5
Clean room. Corridor and public area (some) smells like weeds
- 3/5
Hotel was clean, only problem was the bathroom door was hard to close
- 4/5
Clean room, quite/peaceful hotel and welcoming staff
- 3/5
The rooms and hotel itself feel warn and dated. The Keurig in the room was broken and no one at check in told me I could get coffee in the lobby.
- 4/5
Large, clean, stylish room with a great view. Staff was super helpful and friendly. Only issue was when the weather dropped below 0 the heating wasn’t able to handle it too well, but I was able to get a space heater from the front desk thankfully.
- 4/5
We love the view of the room. Good place to stay in NY
- 5/5
100%
- 5/5
This was one of the most amazing hotel experiences and stay I ever had in my life. Will be back here soon for the weekend to celebrate and unwind
- 4/5
The male receptionists were very nice. Explained everything and where to go
- 4/5
The hotel was a great experience for a staycation.
- 4/5
The room was clean. Parking was so easy - the valet was very kind and helpful. The front desk checked us in early and they were very polite.
- 1/5
The heat was not working and the manager was well aware however we were not notified. We had to call the front desk and request a heater, the heater was not working we slept in gloves, sweats, and beanies. The only thing they had to offer was an extra blanket. HORRIBLE!
- 5/5
Comfy with parking and cool views
- 5/5
The view was awesome….it smelled really nice through out the hotel and it was parking that you could take your car out whenever you wanted.
- 5/5
Excellent
- 5/5
great room with the balcony, very clean and spacious
- 5/5
The staff helpedbme manage a room change for preference.
- 5/5
It was a great view and great quick check in
- 5/5
Balcony was great! The nights was cold and the heat worked wonderful!
- 5/5
Spacious room, easy self service parking. Nice staff, cleaning staff were prompt & kind. Easy access to the city. 15 min Drive from Central Park. I plan to stay here again.
- 5/5
It was fine.
- 3/5
The heat wouldn’t work . But everything else was fine
- 3/5
Made a reservation on Hotels.com light I have done 100 previous times. . The rude front desk person who checked in my gf was asking for a cc to be put on file. When I spoke to her I explained that I always use hotels.com and never needed other cc she had an attitude towards me, explaining she always travels and always need another cc on file especially when she goes to Atlantic City, so back and forth for 5 minutes, she abruptly hands the phone to my gf and then didn’t want to speak to me so I could give a cc over the phone ( forcing my gf to have her friend use her card) WHICH HER CARD WAS NEVER USED) I will have seconds thoughts about using this hotel in the future and have told my group to let everyone know about this. With all the cc fraud these days going around!
- 5/5
Clean, spacious and accessible within the brooklyn area
- 5/5
Great
- 5/5
Very clean, customers service was amazing. Will come again
- 4/5
I opted for the "premier city view" room for an extra $30 over a standard king room but the view was of a vacant lot next to a concrete plant. 😒 So "premier". Also the older mini fridge was a little loud kicking in at night. Anyway other than that everything was fine. Clean room, clean sheets, spacious bathroom. Staff in the lobby was polite.
- 5/5
Everything was great.
- 4/5
Oh the bathroom there was mold along the borders of shower and walls. Better care should be taken.
- 5/5
Peaceful
- 5/5
Nice view of the city from the balcony.
- 5/5
The room was definitely clean. It was easy to get to. It wasn’t as noisy. The staff was very friendly and kind and easy-going from checking in and from checking out I will definitely will be staying here more often. It’s one of my favorite hotels to stay at, and it’s easy to get into the city and out of the city from.
- 5/5
Clean and nice room on the 6th floor, everything was clean.Staff is very helpfull, its already my 5th stay in ravel in last 2 years
- 2/5
The bed had hair on it. Room was always cold, especially the floors. TV in an awkward position relative to the bed. The view was underwhelming and

Everything good with room and hotel. No early check which other places have provided me with. Nice hotel and pretty good location.
- 5/5
Loved the balcony with the view of the Queens Bridge and the city.
- 5/5
The staff was supportive and helpful
- 3/5
AC noisy
- 5/5
The Ravel hotel was amazing. The staff were friendly and courteous. We checked out at 12. However, they held our luggage in a secure location for us the remainder of the day, as we had a late flight out. The room was spacious and clean. The bathroom space was the best feature. We will definitely return on our next trip to New York. Thank you for a wonderful experience.
- 4/5
This hotel
- 3/5
The heat didn't work in the room, but the maintenance guy brought us a space heater that eventually warmed up the room. The room has no soundproofing so we could hear everything outside which made sleeping tough, had to put a sound machine on to block out the noise.
- 5/5
Great staff, privacy was apparent, location was choice, and service was great
- 5/5
Very clean room. Loved that it is dog friendly. On site parking is a huge plus. 10 minute walk from the f/m trains to get right into Manhattan. Would definitely stay here again!
- 4/5
The room was on the smaller side, but clean and good for a short stay. The parking is expensive. All staff were very friendly.
- 5/5
We were a little nervous on the day of check in because of some reviews we read previously. However, we loved the hotel! The lobby is cozy and warm with a coffee machine available throughout the day. Our room felt gigantic and there are plenty of bigger rooms. The room had everything you needed and the bed was a dream of comfort. The staff were very helpful and attentive. The heater on our room, however, could use some upgrade since we were really cold in there. The train station felt really far away even though it’s only a 10-12min walk. The street apart from the hotel is very dirty. I’m sure in hotter parts of the year, transportation ca be easier since there are Citi Bikes nearby. The nearby park is lovely! Overall, we will stay again 10/10! Looking forward for a room with a balcony in the future!
- 5/5
Yes the room was spotless and the staff were amazing . I recommend this place and my next trip back to New York. I’m planning another stay at the Ravel hotel
- 5/5
Great
- 5/5
Stayed here with my family last month who was in town visit. Amazing stay, rooms were large, clean and spacious beautiful view of Queensborough bridge and Manhattan Skyline. Front desk staff were extremely accommodating. They checked us in early despite being fully occupied the night before and were transparent they could not guarantee ahead of time but made every effort to make this possible. They came to the room to give us tea, towels and everything we asked for. They even helped out with coordinating an uber to deliver our luggage to my apartment the next day. The only thing that was a pain was the location being super far away from the train and in a remote area but 100% worth it for the view, cleanliness, accommodating staff and room size.
- 5/5
Balcony offered a nice view, was close to Manhattan
- 3/5
The location is really bad. In an industrial area, you are isolated from restaurants, bars, shops, etc. The hotel amenities are spartan (and that’s being generous). The heating unit is very loud, but at least it drowns out the conversation of the people in the next room and the hallway. The view of Manhattan is terrific, but does not make up for the other “features” of the hotel. The price was low, and for a reason. Pay $50 bucks more for a better location, it will be worth it!
- 5/5
Clean and spacious room! Wish the pillows were a bit higher quality-they were tiny and not super supportive.
- 5/5
Great room and good service
- 4/5
stay was excellent, room cleaned and well stocked everyday. only issue was I noticed cracked flooring and mold by the shower, which made it feel less clean and well-kept than expected.
- 5/5
Everything was spotless and it smelled fantastic. The staff was really polite, especially the front desk. They gave us some great suggestions for dinner. We were in town for the parade and after a long day the comfort of the Ravel hotel was top notch.
- 5/5
We love it
- 5/5
The room was clean, and the view from the balcony was beautiful. Check in and check was an easy and smooth process. The staff were helpful and made our stay pleasant.
- 2/5
Hotel was slightly dated. It’s a NO SMOKING property but woke up every morning to the strong smell of Marijuana. Arrived on a Thursday. Tv had a hard time connecting to wifi
- 1/5
Issue with check-
- 1/5
I have taken photos to document the condition of the room. I’ve already spoken with the hotel staff, but they have not been able to provide a suitable solution.
- 4/5
I've been to that hotel 3 times and there's never any ice in the machine on the ninth floor
- 5/5
Easy check-in and check-out. Very nice rooms, comfortable and quiet. Only issue is that the shower hot water needed to run almost 10 minutes before it got hot, but the front desk explained it so it was not a problem
- 5/5
great view, beautiful hotel and friendly staff
- 5/5
What a lovely space! So cool.
- 5/5
Room clean, staff friendly & helpful. Front desk quick detailed informative friendly and great. Pre-checking in easy and fast got to the hotel & spent less than 3 minutes at the counter. It was very fast and efficient while maintaining high customer service.
- 5/5
Cool concept. Walls are a bit thin but very comfortable otherwise. Great price and parking
- 5/5
Great value. Great area.
- 5/5
Everything was amazingly perfect ! Only issue was connecting to the tv.
- 1/5
No hot water. No coffee at 530am.
- 4/5
The room and the Staff were acceptable.
- 1/5
Can’t believe this was a 4 star hotel. No laundry on site and valet wasn’t open most of my stay there. Extremely lacking.
- 3/5
It was okay
- 5/5
It was better than I expected for the price
- 5/5
Great place, location, and price
- 5/5
This is an amazing hotel and that it was affordable as well and the transport is 10mins approx with 5 different lines which that is awesome to have
- 3/5
Room had an event space next to it and wad noisy until 10pm when the event ended. When i checked in i had asked for a quiet rm and was told no changes could be made , not a good customer service experience. Much lacking. Otherwise uneventful

- 5/5
Lovely hotel with great staff located in an upcoming well invest area. Rooms are large with great views
- 5/5
Awesome view
- 3/5
Overpowering smell of air freshener throughout. Hmmm....i wonder why? Isolated location - in an industrial area. No restaurants. No taxis. Wifi connection poor. Frequently cut out then reconnected without wifi! Very noisy. Yes, bridge traffic but also from the carpark, neighbouring rooms and the corridor.
- 3/5
No food available
- 3/5
Nothing memorable about this hotel, staff was really nice and friendly
- 4/5
Nice
- 5/5
All around fantastic hotel and staffs!
- 4/5
Appreciated the hot beverage station. Didnt get a chance to goto the rooftop unfortunately should of stayed another night. Loved the view and balcony.
- 1/5
Absolutely nothing in the hotel as service, you just walk into the building of the rooms without passing anyone or a lobby, and so can anyone else since the elvator also goes up eithout the need for a room card. Secluded area, nothing around at all, even stations are a good 15 mins walk away. Not recommended at all. Windows are also not soundproof, so noisy neighbors and the brdge you sre overlooking gets loud.
- 3/5
The property is poorly maintained. The price was too high.
- 3/5
Overall the furniture and switches haven’t been kept in a good condition. Seams like they did an update 5years ago and didn't invest anything since then.
- 5/5
The rooms were very clean and comfortable. When we asked for extra pillows they brought them to us immediately. Everyone was very pleasant
- 2/5
Bathroom was dirty and moldy, bugs in my room
- 5/5
The view was amazing
- 3/5
I like the staff
- 5/5
Staff was great and available 24/7. Very quick to help out. Room was clean and spacious. I will definitely be coming back.
- 3/5
Me quedé por 11 días y los fines de semana hay que estar preparado para que no te dejen dormir incluso si no hay fiesta en la piscina, los del hotel dejan que hagan fiestas en las habitaciones
- 5/5
Clean
- 3/5
The air conditioning unit was horrible. It was extremely noisy and blew a hurricane. It was the same for heat. I complained 3 times with no change and little sympathy. I had to turn it off both nights because of the noise.
- 5/5
Great staff, room, amenities, and view. Thanks.
- 2/5
Staff unhelpful and uninterested in your needs and no help We were woken up by fire drills alarm Beeping noise from ac machine which needed new filters After complaining to the front desk all we got is a shrug and a thank you for staying We had 2 rooms booked for 4 nights so it wasn’t pleasant to say the least Never again
- 3/5
not a great location, the AC units are very loud.
- 4/5
Unfortunately that is where the nearest subway station is. That being said it was no hardship to walk to the next nearest station, south of the hotel. It felt safe enough to walk from there at night. There is some kind of power station opposite the hotel which is permanently noisy. However not too noticable with the window closed. The balcony view of the Manhatten skyline more than made up for this and would definitely stay there again. 13 min walk to Court Sq 23 station. Great diner twp blocks from there and only 10 min journey into Manhatten. NYC itself is deafening. Not much the hotel can do about that.
- 5/5
Hotel was modern, clean, and surprisingly spacious compared to others in NYC. The staff is amazing too! A couple of them helped us find good street parking since their lot was already full when we got there.
- 5/5
Enjoyed my quick stay. Close to the city and Brooklyn
- 4/5
The balcony is fantastic and so is the view. The neighborhood is not the best, however. I wouldn’t walk around here at night. There were a lot of sketchy people hanging around. Even during the day was a bit dodgy. There’s not much in the way of places to eat nearby, either.
- 5/5
Nice stay here!
- 3/5
No restaurant no roomservice. Everything is 15 min walk away
- 3/5
The stay was decent. Views were amazing and room was spacious. Disappointed in the fact the pool was 21+ as I booked it so my kids could swim. WiFi did not work the whole time and we asked a few times for help with that
- 5/5
Amazing as always
- 1/5
This property appears appealing in the photographs, but unfortunately, the beds are worn out, and the entire place seems to be in a state of disrepair. On one occasion, I was stuck in the elevator, and there was a violent incident in the room next door. Additionally, my room was moved three times for legitimate reasons. Considering these factors, I would strongly advise against staying at this property.
- 5/5
The hotel was overall good. Staff was nice and accommodating. The hotel has a nearby park with stunning views of manhattan. Overall I would recommend this hotel.
- 3/5
The view
- 5/5
Ive always said its about the views anf you guys have the views
- 1/5
Staff was rude, Room condition was poor, no room phone, not enough towels or wash cloths and what was provided wasn't clean
- 5/5
Our go-to hotel when traveling to NYC. The views are amazing, and we love having a balcony. Having easy, affordable onsite self-parking is a bonus. Love the Ravel!
- 5/5
Property was great, I didn’t really have time to explore the hotel. But my room was so nice facing the bridge and the water. Sounds at night was too loud since the rooms doesn’t have any insulation. I didn’t like that I could hear all the cars that drive bye
- 5/5
Everything was amazing!
- 4/5
We were there for the party next door, so it was convenient for the occasion. The club next door started playing music at 11am the next day so if you aren’t going for an event there, don’t expect peace and quiet. The place was clean enough. Room had a small fridge, so that was nice. The AWFUL thing about the stay here was the internet, you can’t stream anything on TV, and the WiFi didn’t work for the majority of the time we were there.
- 5/5
Great experience!
- 4/5
The room was very nice however limited dining is a little rough. Also, the time that I stayed, there was an event on the same floor I stayed at. So around 11p, there were a lot of people on the floor being loud.
- 5/5
Everything was great but the room faced a busy street with a lot of traffic and noise
- 4/5
Very nice and clean
- 1/5
Extra charge
- 4/5
Nice room for a quick trip into nyc without the nyc prices.
- 2/5
My biggest issue is that this is false advertising. The pool is not included at all in this stay. The room was a little dirty around the edges but the view was everything. The lobby had an odd smell to it. I wouldn’t stay here again.
- 5/5
The property was georgeous!!!
- 4/5
Some of the kindest staff we have met in NY. They were so nice. From the valet to the front desk. The room was clean. There were power outlets that didn’t work and the shower door hinges have large holes/gaps in them. Only other problem was the smell of marijuana as we walked in the hall and just outside the exit door.
- 5/5
I stayed here a few times and always my go to when I’m in the area, always a great stay! No complaints!
- 5/5
Perfect stay!
- 5/5
Good coffee in the lobby in the morning. Courteous staff at the reception desk as well as maintenance. Spacious room with refrigerator. Clean bedding (though the mattress felt too soft). Nice bathroom but the sliding frosted glass doors didn't close all the way to be able to latch. Bathroom vanity sink was a bit high for short people. Easily found street parking around the hotel. A bit of a walk to the nearest convenience store as well as to the subway station and a few streets in the neighborhood didn't look very clean but the hotel itself was great. Overall we were happy with our stay.
- 4/5
staff was vdery helpful
- 1/5
Extremly rude and disrespectful staff
- 5/5
Very nice and clean
- 4/5
The room was nice and spacious. I love the bathroom set up. The balcony views of the bridge were beautiful. I would book again for sure. Not excellent because there is always room for improvement. Thank you Ravel

The music in the other side of the hotel was very loud and it did not stop until 11:00 pm

Laundry list of issues. Staff does nothing to rectify.

These employees are #1! Have stayed in many places in NYC over the past 4 years. And other than the noise and somewhat rough location. The employees more than make up for both. So kind, accommodating, VERY clean, safe room. Very helpful folks who do everything they can to take care of you!

WiFi was bad. Lost connection during multiple business meetings. Most of the staff were very friendly and helpful but one of them was rude. Website features rooftop bar and restaurant but they’re only available for private parties or select hours on weekends.

Everything was great
- 3/5
Limited rooms. Right across from a noisy bridge. No black out curtains.
- 3/5
Don’t promote your pool if we can’t use it.
- 4/5
The views from here are incredible and the room itself was spacious but the area nearby is somewhat sketchy and no restaurants or shopping.
- 2/5
Website said they would have breakfast, they did not. Room had a massive deep crack in the corner floor. The flooring was uneven. Tiles in the bathroom were loose. The faucet was loose and moving around. Blankets had stains on them. Rooftop bar is promoted, but no longer open to public, it’s only for private events. I was overall just disappointed.

I was called because the room I rented (two work beds, a soaking tub and balcony) had been taken, so the offered me two other options that were much smaller by comparison. I felt like I wasn't getting what I paid for, but it was what it was. When I got to my room, it was hot. The air was blowing, but it was 72° and that is way too warm for me to sleep. When I went down to the front desk, the manager asked to check out the air conditioning. Needless to say, I was not happy. But then the manager came back and put us in the City Premier Suite which had everything I could've asked for, and so much more. We had a view of the East River. We could at the Empire State Building. It was amazing. I'D MOST DEFINITELY STAY THERE AGAIN. Customer service was great from start to finish. The area may not have been the best, but the hotel was amazing!

Very nice property only wish they were more clear on the pool not being part of the property itself it cost 25$ to use but also still worth it.
- 5/5
No access to roof bar it’s a separate business, same as the pool. Hotel has limited paid parking which is a plus. Fairly far away from subway or the ferry, but can get there by a 15 mins walking or 10 mins bus ride.

Hotel Raven delux room is very bad. We saw cockroach, bathroom sink is clogged, balcony door is blocked and carbon monoxide monitor is blocking all 3 nights causing distraction to sleep. We have complained about sink and door and only sink is fixed. This is not 4 star rated hotel.

I loved this hotel in my recent visit to NJ for tje FIFA world cup. The views of Brooklyn are gorgeous. Room had a balcony. Great I loved it.

Rooms needed to be cleaned better. Very dusty

amazing and patient staffs !

No continental breakfast even though it is advertised for having this at this location, was not made aware that the pool is 21+ and they also do not have a restaurant even though it was advertised as having one for this location. Only reason I booked here was for pool, restaurant and continental breakfast, paid $250 for the night for a bed basically. Definitely wouldn’t return here.

I like the large bathroom. The room is decently clean. The staff are friendly. However, what I don't like is that the hotel does not provide a microwave and the refrigerator is too small.
- 3/5
I didn't like that the hotel doesn't have a restaurant, no breakfast, no lunch, no dinner, and the restaurants are far a way from the hotel.

Nothing

We reserved a double room but were "upgraded" to a single with a single broken chair, a shower door that did not stay closed, a shower faucet that gradually turned itself off as you were showering, and a television that only stayed on for a few minutes at a time. The staff was very nice and replaced the broken chair and brought us a second one (the rooms are only furnished with a single chair, they said, even when the reservation is for 2 adults), and helped make sure we could charge our EV at the onsite charger, but neither the hotel nor Expedia fixed the bait and switch of confirming that we had reserved a nice room and then being given and stripped down room that did not meet our needs.

Easy to book. We had a group of 4 and the room was very spacious. Would absolutely do again

Wasn't excited about views. Stayed many times at this location, worst view from my balcony.
- 5/5
The stunning views, private balconies, and ease of parking are always a draw for us, we stay here whenever we are in town.

After getting our flight cancelled and not finding an affordable hotel close to the airport (JFK) we found the Ravel. While affordable, by using Uber and Lyft to get to and from the airport negated any savings on a more expensive hotel near the airport. We didn’t necessarily chose to stay at this hotel as it became the only option we had. Using an Uber shuttle would have been significantly less expensive, however hindsight is 20/20.

the room had stuffy smell when opening the room door, the sofa in the room had horrible water stains on the arms and back of the chair smh... u couldnt see out the window because the room was muggy... and the refrigerater was on the floor.

On a positive note, the bed was comfy.

Very nice hotel.

To make matters worse, the ice machine was out of order in the entire building, and I had to walk to another building just to get ice—an inconvenience that should have been addressed or at least mentioned at check-in. Adding to the frustration, when I asked for a late checkout, I was told it wasn’t possible. However, they had no issue upcharging me for a different room earlier in the stay, even though the multiple room changes were entirely their fault. Overall, the experience was disorganized and disappointing, and there was zero effort made to accommodate or apologize for the repeated mistakes. I would not recommend staying here unless you’re prepared to chase down basic services and manage your own customer service.

good hotel to stay at

This building has a severe mold problem and is in need of major mold remediation to remove it -- it isn't just a matter of cleaning, moldy structural materials need to be removed, etc. Apart from that, the listing says the rooms are sound proof. They aren't. There is a separate business that operates a rooftop party club called Summer Club and the music could be heard all the way down in our 2nd floor room. All day. Every day.

This is a nice hotel, staff were friendly and the room was roomy and clean. However, my room was near the elevator and it was very loud in the hallways on top of the noise from the street. If you're a light sleeper, this might not be the best choice. It's also a 10-15 minute walk from food options and public transit, so I'd recommend planning around that during your stay.

Great stay! Was a bit concerned about staying in the area as a female solo traveller, but had no problems and did feel safe most of the time! Staff were polite and kind, even got a room ready for me about an hour prior to check in as I did this online the night before, and were happy to hold luggage once I checked out! Great room for a great price, balcony included, and in a great location - about 10 minute walk from three different subway stations - and amazing views over into Manhattan. Cleanliness was not the best as my socks still ended up dirty from walking around the room after cleaners came in, which is a shame! Apart from that, nothing else to complain about - 5/5 stars! ⭐️

I want my money back! Images on site are of a club, not the hotel, pool was closed when it said would be open, its apparently the clubs pool. I looked for 3 things when booking, 2 of them were false on the site. NO breakfast included which was labeled wrong on the site, only coffee and only till noon, NO pool. And this is right next to the "projects", so if you want to use the public transit, don't be in later than the sun. 12 min walk to any transit. Looked for new place shortly after arriving. Don't do it

Hotel is very dated and still smells of smoke in the rooms if your on a budget it’s fine but if not don’t stay here!
- 3/5
Looks a lot better in the pictures. Very dated and rooms smell of stale smoke. Bed is ok, cleanliness ok. Its very noisy due to poor glazing in the windows and location.
- 5/5
This was my third visit and it was another amazing stay. The location is perfect for all the things I wont to do in NYC and surrounding area. The staff is knowledgeable and taught me some tricks for riding the subway. the room was great and the view was amazing. I hope I can continue to stay in the room I had this visit.
- 3/5
Hotel was just ok. For the price, I do not believe it is worth it. There is not much around the hotel - 10 minute walk to get to coffee etc. I did not find it very clean. If you get put on a ground floor room you should ask to move - they are very dark as you cannot open the curtains because they open to the street.

Great stay!

Minus the alarm going off at 3 am excellent
