Reviews
The hotel is praised for its excellent location near Times Square, with easy access to food, theatre, and transportation. The staff is frequently commended for being friendly and helpful. However, some guests find the rooms small, and there are mixed reviews about cleanliness and comfort.
- Excellent location near Times Square

- Mixed reviews about cleanliness and comfort

Very comfortable and well maintained rooms. Will absolutely stay there again
- 5/5
Absolutely top notch! Location was perfect, staff and building were beautiful and in great shape, the ROOM!!! OMG perfect...small but just the home base you need to explore NYC. My ONLY suggestion: a small fridge and coffee pot would have made a HUGE improvement...especially missed coffee...POD NYC if you could add those amenities it would be a ten out of ten! Thank you for a great stay!
- 5/5
Location! Modern and clean rooms, but very small. Quick elevators a plus. No complimentary breakfast and outside area were closed due to construction. Overall a pleasant experience.
- 4/5
It was a good place to stay on a budget and did the job for the few days I stayed.
- 5/5
For a midtown stay, it was incredibly quiet. Very convenient.
- 5/5
Excelente ubicación, habitaciones limpias y agradables.
- 5/5
Fine little rooms, comfortable beds. relatively quiet (you do still hear a bit of street noise, but it's as good as can be expected.
- 5/5
Great location, convenient, clean and the bar is a gem in the middle of a loud city
- 2/5
Very busy and noisy hotel. Small rooms. The added construction noise from the work being done to the hotel did not help.
- 5/5
Location, location, location!
- 5/5
It was a very nice "cozy" room. The location was excellent. Even though it's very close to Times Square it was quiet. The beds were comfortable too.
- 3/5
Regarding the property itself, the building is nice, has a relaxed vibe to it and is well maintained. The rooms seem to be new or recently renovated, very clean as well. Only downside in my stay was that the A/C didn’t seem to work well, even if the staff tried to solve it. Wasn’t terrible, wasn’t great, but it persisted throughout my stay. Would definitely recommend a bunk bed room if you’re making the trip alone or with someone you are VERY comfortable with, since the room is very small.
- 2/5
stay here if you need something quick and easy, but book directly from their website (i could’ve saved 160$ if i didn’t use this platform. Shower had a leak and the carpet was soaking wet after showering. Room had a strange smell and the AC didn’t work. So again, only worth like a nights stay.
- 5/5
Staff was awesome, room was super comfortable & clean! We really enjoyed the stay!!!
- 5/5

- 4/5
I had an overall comfortable stay at this hotel. The bed was comfortable and the shower was nice. The air conditioning worked well apart from my last night there. I requested a kettle and iron and these were delivered to me very quickly. My room was cleaned every day. The location is great for walking to Times Square etc but by the hotel felt a little unsafe. I was verbally harassed several times by people who seemed to be on drugs, shortly after leaving the hotel. As a woman travelling on her own, this was pretty unsettling. I would stay at this hotel again, but not by myself.
- 5/5
Very convienent for going to the heart of Times Square. Easy to find and a parking gargare is located right across the street. I would stay here again given the chance.
- 5/5
Close to the theater district and Times Square! Definitely would stay again
- 5/5
There’s construction going on so be mindful that you won’t be able to go on the rooftop. Otherwise it was an excellent stay! Rooms are very very small so no more than 2 people to room and even that is tight.
- 5/5
Location. Staff. Clean and cozy place.
- 5/5
Great hotel
- 5/5
We got the bunk bed room and loved it! The room is very small but the space is so well organized that it felt like plenty of room. The location is so ideal for Times Square and the theater district. We were able to walk to all of the shows we saw. Staff were super friendly and helpful. We Would totally stay there again!

Cute, perfect location, loved the lounge Multiple elevators
- 4/5
Room is what you'd expect - bed and bathroom, pretty much it. The location is everything, the gym is a nice touch albeit the most basic thing I've ever seen The staff didn't always empty the bins on every clean, the shades on the window let in a lot of light so I'd wake up kind of early each day (a blessing and a curse)
- 3.5/5
Location, Nice personal, room cleaning daily. The fire alarm that wake me up at 4 am the first night All the lights were broken. The water in the shower was running through detached water holder on the floor.
- 4/5
Great Location! Few blocks away from Times Square. Juan C was very friendly and helped us to check in earlier, also were upgraded to a better room with an amazing view All terrace areas were closed due to construction work so we were not able to use that part of the pod during our stay.

Very modern clean hotel - Tiny room as expected in NYC, but everything you needed in the room. Fabulous views of the city. Great central location, and short walk to subway City building works when we arrived were very noisy, but only until 4pm
- 5/5
Perfect room - beautiful view of the city. Air conditioner worked perfectly. Nice TV, comfortable bed. Staff provided extra blankets when I asked.
- 5/5
Very clean room
- 5/5
I liked it and would come back
- 4.5/5
Great location, fantastic views of the river and helpful staff Mattress too soft for me ☺️
- 4/5
Location. Easy access to subway. Clean. No-nonsense. Good noise insulation. Elevators & stairs. 2 separate sets of elevators. Have to use card to go down and sometimes elevator goes by your floor when other people are in with you. 2 sets of air conditioning, both loud, one can’t be turned off. No fresh air and smell of smoke/vaping.
- 5/5
Great location and staff. Maybe the shower could be better.

This is my repeat place to go to when I visit New York. I always am well taken care of and feel safe at all times.

Very small room, which I expected, but clean and comfortable. Friendly staff and a good location for what I needed, with plenty of great restaurants nearby.
- 3/5
Pleasant
- 4/5
They all seemed solid for the amount of space that was available. I had a chill view looking east. Very walkable to the train and pretty central to get around the city which was nice. I was looking for just a solid basic room and it did the trick, and the bathroom was nice. I mainly wish it has some sort of mini fridge somewhere because I would have just had coffee at my place a couple mornings or being able to store leftovers or some snacks would have been nice. However, that is probably my only real critique.
- 3.5/5
The location was very convenient, especially for visiting Times Square and other attractions. The staff were helpful, and the room was clean and comfortable for a short stay. The room was a little small. However, this is understandable given the central location.
- 4.5/5
Their location combined with friendly staff and quiet environment are world-class No air extraction to prevent steam from showering
- 5/5
Clean, nice staff, in a convenient location, great value for the money.
- 5/5
I would stay there again for a short trip
- 1/5
Room was dirty. Do not recommend. I left after a few hours and made other accommodations.
- 5/5
Honestly the room didn’t feel thaaat small And it was super clean and bed comfortable. As a single female traveler I felt super safe Everyone front the front desk, to the doorman to the concierge and guy setting up the cabs was a 10/10 in friendliness. Just great.
- 5/5
This no-frills, cozy accommodation was nevertheless clean, comfortable, and completely fine for a one-night stay. The property even has a well-stocked bar, breakfast option, and offers free mini tours of NYC neighborhoods. Highly recommended, especially if you can book well in advance at a discount.
- 4/5
POD will be a repeat! Tiny room, but great location and helpful staff. Good price for NYC location ☺️

- 3/5
The room overall was fine but our shower was broken. Felt like a run down room
- 5/5
this was my first time visiting NY & it was lovely! the room was tight but cute & cozy. We only stayed on night but it was cool for the price and being on the strip. <3 would book again
- 4/5
No-frills hotel. There is always staff onsite willing to help no matter the time. The lobby is always kept clean and organized. Housekeeping is very respectful and will tidy up your room on the daily unless you specify otherwise. Some of the light fixtures in our room did not work but we didn’t mind. Only issue was the fire alarm blaring for about half an hour at 5 in the morning. The alarm PA system kept announcing to stay in our rooms despite the fire brigade showing up. Seems to have been a false alarm but we never got an explanation.

It was my first ever solo trip, and this was the perfect place to stay! It was a smaller hotel room, but it made me feel so safe and comfortable being alone. I also happened to get a beautiful view out of my window, and I really enjoyed the gym. The front desk also had a rapid response time.

The location was perfect! It was close to all the things we wanted to do and was only about 5 minutes from the nearest subway station During our whole stay, our room was never cleaned. We made sure to put the sign on our door that we wanted it and even brought it up to the front desk. Not sure where the miscommunication happened. Also during 1 night of our stay, a false fire alarm rang at 5 am. That couldn’t be helped though
- 4.5/5
Loved the view from my 19th floor queen bedroom. Loved the lounge by the lobby... and the nearby bar. excellent way to relax before having to take the train. the staff was super helpful, and the location was excellent.

Location was ok Light in the bathroom automatically opened during the night several times. Shades do not blacken the room. False alarm at the middle of the night that took an hour to shut down. No pickup of packages during the weekend
- 5/5
Nice budget friendly hotel in a good location.
- 4/5
Didn’t like how the side lamps didn’t work, and the tv didn’t work. Also there was a false alarm fire alarm at 5am and that woke everyone up. They handled it well but didn’t give much clarity on what happened or what we were supposed to do.
- 5/5
Small space with huge advantages! Staff was helpful and awesome with answering questions and offering free tours daily. Location was the best ! Breakfast was great . Lounge very nice and cozy. The bar is very nice. Great vibe in the lobby area the decor and music were great. View from my window was awesome ! Short walk to everywhere and subway literally next door! I highly recommend. Very affordable as well.

Location and price are always great here. I've stayed here for years. It's always SUPER reasonable. The rooms are just getting run down. The shower was kind of gross and had a rusted ADA chair which was kind of nasty. They need to do some updates. This has been the case the last few times I've stayed.

Fast elevators - 6 of them so there was never a long wait. Room is small yet functional. Amazingly quiet considering the location right off of the Lincoln Tunnel. Could see the buses going in and out of Port Authority. Safe area with lots to do. My only complaint would be the lack of ventilation and weak A/C. The rooms are probably overdue for a renovation.
- 5/5
I have stayed at the Pod at both Times Square and Hells Kitchen. They are both great. They are practical, the staff helpful and the locations perfect.

Very nice stay for a quick trip, loved the bar

Room was too small for the price. Staff was very nice. No ice on any of the floors. If you wanted ice you needed to go to the bar. Unusual.

Clean, compact and exactly what I needed. Whenever I need to be in the city for longer days at work, this place is my go-to. Love the rainfall shower. I've stayed here on numerous occasions, and recommended it to visiting friends.

The staff was 1,000,000% on point. They were able to provide early check-in and late check-out upon request. They answered every question and provided accurate information while being kind and efficient. Rooms are designed to be small, limited space, one chair and no dresser, so pack light and come with an itinerary to get you out and about the city, use the room to relax and sleep, ours was a queen for two and was a perfect fit for an overnight stay.

Ultimate no frills stay with just enough room to move around. It is fairly noisy facing the street, but the location made everything I needed easy. Sometimes the elevators backed up with people. Bring or buy some toilet paper because what’s provided has me raw after 2 days.
- 5/5
My only small complaint was that the hallway to my room was pretty dark. I felt a little insecure walking the hall. I would definitely stay at POD Times Square again.
- 5/5
Super easy check in and check out. Let us check in an hour early. Clean room. Nice that they had a bar & breakfast options on site. Great location. Never woke up once from outside noise. Amazing stay overall!!

The location of the hotel is great. In the middle of everything but the room is quiet. Near what became my favorite jazzclub: Jazzcultural. Rooms are clean. They came often to bring fresh towels and clean the room. The hotel is very new, modern. A lot of elevators, so never have to wait long. Friendly staff. The room is really small. Difficult to put your stuff, but it's exactly how they show it at the website. So I was prepared. We had a problem with check in, because strange enough all of our credit cards were not working. But finally we agreed upon a solution. They stayed calm and friendly.

The hotel was great, location was great, would stay here again; however, our room had a pretty strong urine smell. I suspect it was dog urine but I’m not sure if they allow dogs. If not then it was human urine. That is my only complaint, other than that it was wonderful.

A+ location. Room was as described. Noise was at a minimum, which was a pleasant surprise. Minor nitpick: there was no standard electrical outlet (or USB-C) right next to the bed. Luckily, I had a long enough charging cord that I could plug it in across the room, but it was a minor hassle and tripping hazard.

I’m traveling on recreation. And I’m traveling alone. This is a wonderful place for a single traveler, but I think couples seem to enjoy it too. This location is fantastic. It’s right in the heart of Times Square. Numerous restaurants within just a few walking steps. There’s even a really full Service grocery store right around the corner. You can walk to the Port Authority terminal one and a half block away. My room was quiet, there’s a nice lobby and a reasonable coffee shop on the lobby level. There’s also a very lovely quiet space just off of the coffee shop.

Property was perfect for a one night's stay. Room was a little small but everything we needed. Check in was easy, check out was easier. Staff was great. Didn't realize they had a bar. Sat there after a day out and the bartender was very kind. Overall a nice experience and would book again.

Clean and bigger room than I expect, prime location
- 5/5
Perfect location and the hotel was exactly what we needed for a one night stay!!
- 2/5
Do not stay here. The room was more akin to a prison cell that a hotel room. Filthy walls, floors, bathrooms etc.. Dimly hit hallways that were something out of a horror film. When the doors to the rooms have “ant-human trafficking PSAs on them,” you get an idea of who the usual clientele of the hotel are. Spend the extra $50 to get as far away from this place as you can.
- 5/5
Great place to stay, & will probably come back for another stay soon. The room was comfortable and housekeeping does a great job as well! I really hope they keep up the good work! 10/10 Thank you for the hospitality!

I’m a big fan of The Pod Brooklyn & wanted to try The Pod Times Square. It has a convenient location & is good value. It’s a busy hotel with lots of guests. My room was clean, however the common areas (elevators, hallways) need a little freshen up cleaning wise.
- 3.5/5
The location is really good for the ones who wish to stay at the heart of times square area. Also very close to the several subway stations. simple place but, workable. Room is very small, but, it is what you paid. Bed is small as well, but, not a big issue.

Good location. Nice bartenders. Rooms smaller than my college dorm, room service came day 1 then never again, Terribly quality blankets, no access to amenities because we paid over $200/night but that’s still a cheap room is so disgusting.

- 4.5/5
Location was excellent. Really close to the subway and Times Square.
- 4/5
Location is awesome, you’re ten minutes walking from Times Square and can do a lot by walking. Cleaning and service was also good. No deposits or hidden fees. I got earlier than 3pm (noon) and I was able to check-in. It’s small and compact. The bathroom is separated by glass partition, which means you can see the other person’s silhouette and you might also hear their noises. If you are going with your partner or someone intimate it’s fine. Maybe going with a not so close friend would be awkward. I went with my fiancée and we stayed out pretty much all day, so for me it was fine.
- 5/5
The location is perfect, we were close to a ton of transit and could also walk to most things (this was primarily a theatre trip).
- 3.5/5
The property is very close in proximity to all the major attractions by being in Time Square. I enjoyed the location/ the cleanliness/ the friendly atmosphere and the moderation of the rooms, plus the convenience. I wasn’t pleased with the size of the rooms. I felt like a freshman college student lol..if I want to have company for my birthday he would of had to sleep on the table in fetal position.

So far So have stayed three times at the Pod Times Square. I have also stayed at all the others in Manhattan and Brooklyn but this one is my favorite. It was actually built as a Pod Hotel unlike most of the others that were renovated to meet the hotel’s standards. I found the staff friendly and attentive, the rooms clean and modern with every detail needed for a conversation stay. Good value for the money.
- 3/5
My stay was okay for the price. I would have rated 5 but the air conditioning wasn’t the best. The entire property runs pretty warm. I had the AC running for hours at the minimum temp and highest fan speed, but it didn’t do much. Hovered around 76 degrees during the day. Luckily I was able to open a window to get fresh air. It’s not a big deal breaker but it is good to know if you’re a hot sleeper.
- 5/5
Everything was perfect for a quick taste of NYC with my 12 year old kid. The location is amazing, the vibe of the hotel is fun, the service and check in were easy and friendly, the bunk beds were comfortable! Go for it! I’m sure you’ll have a great time!
- 3/5
Room is a bit small, no storage for garments but the room and bathroom is clean. I wish a bit more space and allow microwave to use in the amenity common areas.
- 5/5
Super clean & cozy! Staff was amazing.
- 4/5
Affordable and nice place to stay on solo trip or couple trip.
- 3.5/5
the room had a poor smell when we first came in… needed to leave the windows open
- 4.5/5
Cozy and comfortable but everything was clean and in good condition. Great location. Nothing
- 5/5
nice central location
- 2/5
We booked a single night in a tiny room because the price was very attractive through Expedia, but upon arrival had to pay a $25 “single night fee”, we were not made aware of during the reservation.
- 1/5
Unfortunately, this hotel did not meet any of my expectations. I paid $989 for 3 nights. Other than the convenience of everything being close, such as the subway, Times Square, Broadway Theater, Central Park, etc. I experienced harassment by a guy who just walked into the lobby and begged for money again and again. Unfortunately, another one of the problems with this location is that there are no parking lots associated with the hotel so the nearest parking lot is down the block ($67 a night, not to mention) but the biggest problem is that you can’t turn left, which is where the hotel is at, so my boyfriend went to go get the car while I waited in the lobby with all of our suitcases. What is about a three minute walk turned into a 20 minute drive for him. During that time, the guy was constantly insisting I give him money and asking how long until my boyfriend got back. He sat by me and interrogated me. Sadly it took about 15 minutes before a worker/guard came and told him to leave. The hotel had a D rating, no trash bag inside the bathroom or room, the doors to our rooms were covered in grime/unknown white stains, bad smell down the hall, dirty floors. We were on the 8th floor and couldn’t sleep all night due to the loud noise outside and construction in the morning. Tiny room with no space for our suitcases. Not at all like the photos on their website. Maybe it once used to be all that. Only stayed 2 nights, couldn’t do it another night. Waste of money!
- 5/5
It was clean and easy to find Nothing
- 1.5/5
Good location The rooms are very small.. there’s no room to move around in.. when ur in shower the other people can see your shadow.. no microwave.. no fridge
- 5/5
Clean ready early Nothing
- 5/5
Nice hotel close to the central parts of New York. Short walk from Penn station
- 4.5/5
Maybe more information about amenities
- 4/5
My wife and I had booked a Queen-size bed but were given an uncomfortable Full-size one instead, in a very cramped space. Neither of us slept very well, but we were given another room with a Queen mattress for our second night’s stay.
- 5/5
It was very clean and the area was perfect, highly recommend this place.
- 5/5
It was everything I needed it to be. Clean. Convenient. Helpful staff. Excellent location.
- 4/5
Everything is good except the room is too small
- 4/5
Clean room but the hotel needs more lights at the hall way. Elevators and the lobby area need to be cleaner. Great location.
- 5/5
Great hotel in great location
- 4/5
It’s in a good location. It’s walking distance to many attractions. It’s good for what you need it. For a few days it’s perfect. The staff were very nice. I would stay here again.
- 5/5
Everyone was super nice the view and room was great. Location was perfect with in walking distance of a lot of places. Definitely will recommend and stay again!
- 5/5
I always feel well taken care of here. I have been staying here a few times a year for awhile now and love my rooms!!
- 5/5
Micro rooms are clean and all you need in NYC. The sheets are a bit ruff; otherwise, all good.
- 5/5
Great location.. close to the subway and time square! Great vibe! Friendly staff
- 5/5
Nothing was included
- 5/5
Centrally located and clean. Would definitely stay again!
- 5/5
Love the predictability for the pod times square for my short nyc trips. Friendly helpful staff on the movement you arrive, very clean room and bathroom, easy to get around for theatre and food on foot or uptown or downtown by subway. Comfy bed! Darkening shades.
- 3/5
No room though we stayed for 3 days
- 5/5
Great staff, nice view .great location.cleanliness
- 3/5
Great price, middle of the action! Very noisy outside with horns, fire trucks, general New York action. I had trouble sleeping. The room was cozy, but not designed well. The bed frame had sharp corners that I have bruises on my knees from, and the wash cloth dropped into the toilet twice. I was surprised there was no central coffee, hot water for tea or microwave in the lobby, but when I asked, they brought an electric kettle to the room which was great.
- 4/5
Great place.. just a little expensive
- 4/5
Overall, I had a pretty decent experience. The only thing is that it would be very nice to have access to kettle/hot water/microwave within the hotel. That is something I was missing.
- 4/5
Room was very clean
- 5/5
Efficient, clean and in a prime spot
- 5/5
Very nice staff and I personally loved the location
- 5/5
We loved staying at the pod times square! Stayed here for a weekend trip with my best friend and loved the bunk bed layout for the 2 of us. Great location and staff are very friendly. Would stay here again!
- 5/5
Convenient location. I was skeptical of the bunk beds, but they were comfy and sturdy. Staff was helpful and friendly.
- 2/5
The rooms are extremely small and uncomfortably narrow. I genuinely regret booking this for my friend and his wife. At this price point, the value is unacceptable. I would not recommend this property to anyone.
- 5/5
Perfect Stay would absolutely book again
- 5/5
Excellent hotel
- 4/5
It’s 5min walk from Times Square, the bus station and 10min from Javits Conference centre, the Vessel & Hudson Yards. The rooms are compact but for 3 days were perfect as they are really clean and shower is awsome. Cleaned every day. Remember to put your “Service Now” plate on the outside of the metal door. I really do like pod hotel.
- 5/5
The staff were very friendly. Even allowed us to check in early when our concert was unexpectedly moved up. Super convenient location too.
- 5/5
I loved the accessibility. It was close to everything. Would have liked to see an included breakfast, small fridge/microwave in room would be great additions!
- 4/5
This room was the perfect location for seeing a broadway show. Also very close to Times Square. Only thing I wish they had in the room was a mini fridge. There was no way to keep anything cold.
- 4/5
Staff is so great I’m always impressed with them at check in even with challenges.
- 5/5
Amazing place to stay in. Clean room everyday. Multiple food places!
- 5/5
It is good for women who are traveling by themselves. Much recommended 🤞😝❤️
- 5/5
This is my new place... Clean, convenient, safe and great staff.
- 5/5
Clean room
- 5/5
If you are going for a short trip and do not need a lot of space, this is great. My daughter and I came in to town for a show and this was easy to get to from the train. Close to the show as well. Will stay here again.
- 5/5
The room was clean and perfectly set up for my use. The plug didn’t work in the sink and the water was a little cold, but generally very good
- 4/5
The rooms (or at least the one I was in) don't have refrigerators or microwaves, so it's not super easy to keep leftovers or any food/snacks you'd bring with you to the hotel. There is no on-site parking, but there is a parking garage less than a block away - validated parking, but it's still quite expensive. I'd stay here if it was a quick night away, but for a long week, it started feeling very small very fast.
- 5/5
Although the room is very small, but it is very comfortable for two to stay there one night.
- 5/5
Es un gran sitio
- 5/5
Чисто, прикольное место , полно молодежи.
- 5/5
Small room so it’s a perfect stay for a few nights. I stayed overnight but i wouldn’t have minded staying a few more. Clean room and the staff was so nice!
- 5/5
Their concierge Christina is an asset for The POD!!
- 5/5
Sunny room with a view of the Hudson . Quieter side away from Times Square but easily walkable to all of the Broadway shows. Stayed for one night with my teenager. Really appreciated having bunk beds so we could each have our own space. Would definitely stay again and wish I had tried Pods sooner.
- 5/5
Nice staff. Small (as expected) but clean room. Convenient.
- 5/5
Small Euro style room, but great for 1 on a business trip, with the city right there for after hours.
- 5/5
Amazing stay
- 5/5
The only place we will stay in Midtown! We have now stayed here a few times, after years of being disappointed with most of the hotel options in Times Square, we booked a week's stay at POD Times Square. This hotel is exactly what it says it is. Rooms are fairly small, but quiet and private. Bath is well-appointed, and the location is great. The staff was also amazing, and a pro tip, you can ask for an electric kettle at the front desk and make hot food and soups during your stay.
- 5/5
It was located in the perfect area and in the middle of everything
- 5/5
Amazing if you don't care about having tons of space! It was just enough for my fiancé and I. Clean room and bathroom, friendly staff, and the lounge was great! Highly recommend if you care more about spending your money elsewhere on your trip rather than spending your whole budget on a hotel! Would come back again!
- 5/5
Nice hotel and good location
- 5/5
Great room... I could open the windows for fresh air ... awesome shower ...staff were very helpful and friendly
- 5/5
Staff was friendly, professional and upbeat from the front desk getting me checked in and settled to housekeeping coming by and making sure I have everything I need (thank you ladies, I appreciate you so much!); I would definitely stay here again because it was CLEAN! I missed out on checking out the amenities they had to offer, however, I did briefly check out the bar/restaurant (looked SO cute!) because I needed a fork for my leftovers. Anyway, on my last day, I had to end up coming back and staying an extra day due to a hiccup in my travels back home. Sahar and Juan were so helpful to let me stay an extra night in my same room when I returned. Truly, God bless you both so much for helping me out! Now, it is New York so don’t expect the rooms to be big, especially the closer into the city you get. If you want bigger you’ll have to stay a wee bit further out or closer to residential areas. I stayed on the 22nd floor in a room with a full/queen bed and I was comfy! Okay, thank you New York; see you again, soon!
- 3/5
The Pods are exactly as they say, it’s a pod, very small, the a/c did not work very well even after having maintenance check it and you hear the sirens and horns honking so you don’t need an alarm clock. I don’t think we will stay here again. But it’s a Great location, next to really great restaurants and the theaters. I highly recommend Mom’s Kitchen & Bar and 5 Napkin Burgers. Meals were delicious!
- 1/5
3 times, will not stay again
- 4/5
Rooms are well designed and in good condition. Elevators for such a large hotel are very fast and there are enough elevators. Staff does an excellent job cleaning rooms. Hotel is very well managed.
- 5/5
Great location and the perfect place for an NYC getaway. The staff was amazing - friendly, helpful and focused on providing a great customer experience!
- 4/5
All good
- 5/5
Very basic room but very clean and comfortable. Excellent location if you’re planning to see Broadway shows. I got upgraded from a bunk room to a queen room.
- 4/5
Pretty clean rooms, good for a trip to the city where you plan to spend all day out but the top bunk of the bunk beds is pretty sketchy
- 5/5
Nice accommodations and the staff were extremely helpful and accommodating. The view was great! The room was small but that was to be expected.
- 4/5
The room was spacious for NYC and very clean. The bathroom was immediately in the right as you came in and had a smoked glass wall. I imagine there would be very little privacy when in the shower. I traveled alone, so don’t know if there was any visibility, but it’s a consideration. The bed was very comfortable and the staff very friendly. It’s a bit off the main drag for theaters, but close enough to not be a winter walking issue. Overall, I would stay there again and recommend it as a wonderful choice if I. The city.
- 5/5
Perfect
- 5/5
It’s always great staying at Pod Times Square. It’s close to everything, really convenient parking, great staff, dog friendly. Love all of it.
- 5/5
Clean, cozy, simple, affordable
- 5/5
Room was great and had an amazing view. Everything was clean and the bed was so comfortable. And being in the heart of Times Square was great. Would definitely stay here again!
- 5/5
A very affordable place to stay in Midtown Manhattan. Small room, but very clean with comfy beds. Staff are very friendly and helpful. Convenient location.
- 5/5
Clean room!
- 5/5
Staff was very friendly and the customer service from check in to check out was phenomenal! Room was clean and perfect size for my stay
- 5/5
Location was amazing very clean
- 5/5
Staff is awesome!!
- 5/5
Thank you 🙏
- 4/5
Hotel centrico, limpio y excelente precio x noche
- 2/5
I was downgraded upon arrival to small bunk beds. I was then told my stay would be half off and my bill doesn't reflect a discount. It was an inconvenience to say the least, and it wasn't even made right on my bill. Very disappointed! With that said, staff was nice and the accommodations were on par. I was waiting to see if the bill was modified with the discount added before I wrote any reviews but it still hasn't been taken care of for the second night.
- 5/5
Tremenda experiencia, super amables, todo mega limpio y todo es práctico para los viajeros que nos gusta crear memorias.
- 5/5
Everything about our stay was excellent! I couldn’t recommend the hotel enough!
- 5/5
Great staff, awesome location, clean room!
- 4/5
The rooms were the essentials with plenty of space to move around. The reason for 4/5 stars is that it’s pretty noisy. Doors are metal so they slam shut. It would often wake me up several times a night, though I am a light sleeper.
- 5/5
Always smooth, easy, and clean
- 5/5
Very small but excellent service.
- 5/5
Clean rooms, friendly staff, and great location. My fav stay!
- 5/5
Great place
- 5/5
The room was spotless and the staff friendly. My other comments are that I really like the minimalist vibe. It’s very sustainable. However, you don’t provide a way for visitors to recycle or compost, which I think a lot of them would want to do. Other suggestions: have milk available for people to put in coffee. I was a little alarmed that the room had a window that opened completely to the outside far above ground. I would have liked another blanket, a regular outlet over the desk, a notice to hang on the door to let the staff know that they don’t have to clean or change towels, and more places to hang wet towels. I liked the bar and breakfast and access to free tours. Great location and interesting clientele! Thanks much. Love that check out was at noon. Darcy DuMont
- 5/5
Great service
- 4/5
What stood out for us was the clean rooms, the location and the staff. The staff was very helpful as far as telling us where we can park at so we don’t get a ticket and we also enjoyed the fact that they offered us discount parking and they were very knowledgeable all in all the hotel was a nice hotel. It was under some construction, but it didn’t bother us in the least little bit and it was quiet. We definitely will stay there again when we’re back in New York.
- 4/5
The poor reception made the TV virtually unuseable. Otherwise, everything was excellent. I will definitely visit again.
- 5/5
Great as always
- 4/5
Room was clean and check in staff were great!
- 5/5
Location, location, location! Room is clean and love the modern, minimalist bathroom with high-end European fixtures.
- 4/5
Very clean, super simple and had everything we needed. Door to bathroom didn’t want to stay closed. Water took a long time to get barely warm.
- 5/5
My room is as clean and comfortable…staff are always friendly and helpful. Love staying here
- 5/5
Room was nice & clean. Staff was very nice. A little shelf or cubby by the beds, especially the upper bunk, would have been helpful
- 4/5
Great location in Times Square! Wish there was a bit more room and a closet but honestly I was rarely in the room so it worked out.
- 5/5
Great. It was my second time booking Pod Times Square and used the Pod Pals deals! It’s always affordable if you know how to take advantage of dates and deals! Just a 9 minute walk to DD Dumplings in Times Square my favorite restaurant when in NYC! TS ofc is within range and depending on the room you can see the Hudson or Empire State Building (if I’m correct). I was able to always check my bags in, check in early and check out late is needed.
- 5/5
Clean and close to Times Square
- 5/5
Good for what you pay. Its very clean and thee house keeping was very friendly. I would recommend. Also located in a good spot .
- 5/5
Good
- 5/5
Very clean and such a chill vibe. The only thing I have to complain about (which is entirely my fault) was choosing a room with bunk beds. My body ain’t built for that climbing up and down a tiny ladder after walking 15,400 steps in one day lol. I would recommend! Very affordable too! I would say I’d stay here again, but I’ll probably never come back to New York 😂.
- 5/5
Very clean and great customer service
- 4/5
comfy, clean, convenient, cheap
- 5/5
Very good location and value
- 5/5
Very nice staff, great accomodations, wonderful room! Would stay again in a heartbeat - and would love to take advantage of one of their free walking tours when the weather isn’t downright frigid! :)
- 5/5
Staff. Always deliver.

everything was great!

Easy place - small but perfect for exploring the city.
- 5/5
Great as always
- 5/5
Clean, good atmosphere

I’m a prostitute.
- 4/5
Staff was extremely friendly. It was frigid cold this weekend, I arrived 40 min early and they let me check in. The room was nice with a beautiful view from the 22nd floor. A very nice gym on floor 28 with an incredible view! Only minor issues: there are only 2 traditional outlets in an odd location and there is a strange noise from the phone and the vent is always going.
- 5/5
It’s always clean

Nice staff

Great little place.
- 4/5
Staff was very accommodating and helpful? Gym had amazing views.
- 5/5
Great location!! Clean rooms
- 5/5
Our stay was excellent. We got there early around 9am to check our bags in and they let us have our room immediately! It was a great start for us. Our room was spotless and perfect. Very quiet. We enjoyed the pillows and bed. They were extremely comfortable. The only issue we had was the room temperature. They didn’t serve regular coffee at the bar, so we asked for a kettle. They brought it right up to our room and we used instant coffee we brought. It was perfect. The top bunk was so warm all night and because of this we turned the heat down which made the bottom bunk extra cold the rest of the night. We would definitely stay here again. It exceeded our expectations.

Excellent location, warm in winter, close to time square and subways. The rooms are very small but pretty clean and practical. I would also like to thank the hotel for receving me a package many days prior to my arrival.
- 5/5
Great budget hotel. Prime location very walkable area to pick up food and use transit. Be prepared for a small room and no refrigerator or coffee maker. They were definitely missed. Felt safe and had great views out of the large windows.

Clean and great location

they let us check-in at 6am instead of 3pm, and even upgraded us. very amazing and satisfied!

The staff was very professional and helpful and there were enough people at the front desk to help everyone in line promptly - thank you for that. So many places are understaffed so it was nice to see.
- 5/5
Minutes from Times Square and delicious food right across the street. Thank you
- 5/5
Ok
- 5/5
It was clean, the staff was professional, I felt safe, and there were no issues with noise. I would definitely recommend a stay here.

Excellent location. Friendly services. Room is small but clean and convenient. One of the best rates right in center of Time Square. Walkable to everywhere. Safe area.

Time square location, simple basic style and friendly staff

Another great stay! I have stayed 3 times with my daughter to shop and see a Broadway show. It was perfect again.

Our room was serviced daily and appreciated! Hotel arranged for my trip to airport. Most importantly, it was a super easy walk to the subway lines which was essential for me especially after long walks out!

Room was clean, front desk was extremely helpful.

Friendly staff and good location. But the room is too small and the fan goes on all the time.
- 4/5
It was a wonderful stay at this hotel. The staff were helpful and cheerful, the location was beautiful and close to services and tourist attractions.
- 5/5
No breakfast but that’s ok. Room was really small but I wasn’t in my room a lot so that didn’t bother me. The room had everything I needed.
- 5/5
Great location for a NYC visit; rooms are small but not bad for NY, and they are comfortable and clean; the staff is friendly and efficient, and the hotel is lively with international visitors.

- 4/5
Upon first arriving our room we were checking into had not been serviced. It actually looked like someone was still using the room. They quickly resolved the situation by giving us another room. Great location if you’re wanting a couple of nights to hit the typical tourist spots. The room was actually bigger than what it would seem to be based on the pictures.
- 4/5
Room was clean and the staff was ok. All nice and kind.

Room is mildly dirty...

Very clean!

- 4/5
The room looked better in pictures but there was enough space for two. The bathroom was pretty nice. The TV could use an upgrade, we weren’t able to screen mirror from our apple devices and their wasn’t any streaming apps we could go on. The staff was courteous, we had no issues requesting extra towels or blankets.
- 5/5
The staff was very helpful. Getting an upgrade without asking for it was a nice gesture. I've stayed at this hotel multiple times in the past (great location, good value, comfortable rooms with nice bathrooms)and will stay in the future.
- 5/5
Staff was wonderful. Location was excellent. Clean with awesome shower. Loved the bar and restaurant. Waiting area was open and spacious. 10/10

The stay was perfect! Everything was clean and the view was AMAZING! I highly recommend staying here!!!!

Quite and nice location

perfect location and the service is unbeatable. I'll definitely return.

Everything was good except water was never really hot out of the shower and mold all over shower heads. Otherwise it was a great place located in a great spot.
- 4/5
Small, but perfect for a solo traveller.

Room was in good condition

- 5/5
Staff was friendly and very courteous. Although rooms are small it was clean and such a great experience.
- 5/5
Perfect price, great location, staff very friendly, room small but who needs more than that. , clean, no issues... will stay again.
- 5/5
The staff were very attentive and even let us check in early. The area is perfect and is just a short walk to the subway. There are also some great food places within 3 mins.
- 5/5
Veery comfortable and clean room.
- 4/5
Great location, the staff was super nice. The room was cozy, but we knew that going in. The only issue was that the lock for our room had to be recharged and we couldn't get in until maintenance came.
- 4/5
The room was clean and the service was good. The location was good but it was so tiny. I thought it was overpriced for what we got. Would pay a little more for a room I could at least comfortably turn around in. We had the bunk bed and the ladder was metal with tiny rungs. It was hard on the feet.
- 5/5
Walking distance from Times Square!
- 4/5
Room was clean and as described.

Inconvenience occurred and host did not help or have any grace for something totally out of my control. Will not be booking here again.

I solo traveled and the room was great. It’s good walking distance from Time square, good location. Only thing is tv is not smart so no streaming services unless you had hdmi which i didnt bring cause you just assume the tvs are up to date with streaming services but no complaints. It was nice here & i would stay again

The room looks like a prison cell. Very poor customer care, did not include breakfast, not even a bottle of water in the room. Very disappointing.

Great location, clean rooms and convenient - everything we need for a quick NYC stay. We are returning customers and will be back again.

Great location. Modern property.

We had an amazing experience staying at the POD Time Square!! It was close to everything we did and the room was spotless! Super clean and cozy. The shower was great. If I go back to NYC I will for sure stay there again!!! Staff was very friendly too!

La calefacción nunca funcionó, 4 noches muriendo de frío, el agua caliente dejó de estar caliente los últimos 2 días......

Clean Room, Desk Staff very helpful

Staff was incredibly friendly! They helped me find silverware for my takeout that didn’t have it, and they told me good coffee shops in the area. The rooms are always clean and cozy too.

They didn’t have breakfast. It’s a bar of bones hotel but very upscale and nice.

Fácil de trasladarse, a una cuadra está la terminal del metro, tienes muchos lugares interesantes a distancia caminando.

Wonderful staff. Amazing check in and a very safe hotel. Close to Times Square

The hotel was cute and stylish, and the staff very friendly. We enjoyed the bar, the lounge, and the large shower. The beds were also surprisingly comfy- and the view was amazing! My only gripe would be that the tiny hotel room had some spots that obviously hadn't been cleaned/wiped down in quite a while ( chrome bed frames, sticky toiletries with soap residue all around in the shower) otherwise it was great!

Friendly staff. The room is tiny but mod and clean. Great skyline views from the 18th floor. We arrived at 12:30 and got an early check-in- AWESOME!

AC did not work

Bathroom sink was clogged. Overall ok

I felt like I was in the hunger games. The hallways were something out of a dystopian world. Dark and dingy. There was NO free breakfast. Staff were nice and helpful. Sink never drained. Great location though. But won’t be back.

Our room was not huge but it worked for us as a couple while mostly out and about sightseeing.

The room was clean and of course tiny too! We knew what we were getting so I’m fine with that! The location was great, a very short walk to center of Times Square

It's a reasonably good hotel in a great location but a little pricey, at least in December, for what is provided. The rooms are comically small.

I was so impressed with this hotel. During a pre-holiday weekend, when hotel rates were $600+/night, this hotel was reasonably priced, so my expectations were measured. This was an excellent location, on the edge of Times Square on 42nd/9th, with plenty of restaurants nearby. There was a great side view of the Hudson River from the 17th floor. The "Full Pod" was clean, with a big private bathroom, comfortable full-sized bed, an in-room safe, thermostat control, charging stations, and cable TV. The room was quiet and the hotel was well-staffed and felt safe. Checkout was at 12pm, too, which is comparatively late. It's not plush, but who's spending a ton of time in their hotel room when they're in NYC? If you're looking for a comfortable place to stay at the end of a long day of sightseeing, this is a great option.

Great location, clean, and friendly staff.

Enjoyed my stay there

The rooms should have basic items like extra blankets and wash cloths. We had to reset key cards several times. Staff was friendly enough, but distracted.

This location was great. Steps from all of the Times Square attractions and a great price.

The service was good.
