Reviews
The hotel is praised for its excellent location and friendly, helpful staff. However, the small size of the rooms and shared bathrooms are frequent complaints. Cleanliness is generally good, but some guests have reported issues with maintenance and amenities.

Great place to stay without costing an arm and a leg. 2 block walk to E train and then from there can get to Carnegie Hall, Union Station, and even world trade center. AC eas solid and strong. quickly cools the entire room.
- 5/5
Friendly and helpful staff who would go above and beyond to assist travelers. It was clean and quiet, and I hope to stay there again next time I’m in NYC.
- 4/5
Very happy with everything for busy weekend stay at the City. I will return again in future.
- 4/5
The Pod 51 is not for people who need space in their rooms. The hotel is staffed by a very nice and helpful crew. I would consider staying there again, but the room size is a deterrent. The neighborhood is great.
- 4/5
The hotel was well maintained, the staff very helpful and the hotel was in a great location. The only challenge was the air conditioning as it was uneven. When the fan was on it was cold but the room was yooo warm when the fan was off.
- 5/5
Lively place. Very convenient location with easy access to lots of nice restaurants and metro train stations. Very enjoyable stay.
- 5/5
Everything was great I loved everything about the hotel and the location was Perfect
- 5/5
Everything was great except the room was too small for two people to share.
- 5/5
Best location in Midtown Manhattan; easy access to LaGuardia and JFK airports. The staff are always courteous and helpful. I’ve been staying there every year since 2010.
- 5/5
Will be staying here for my next visit. Great place to stay if you’re solo tripping or with friends. Absolutely love the staff and location. Can’t wait to stay here again for my next visit.
- 4/5
The Pod51 hotel (located on 51st near 3rd Avenue) is in an excellent location. The reception staff and housekeeper were fantastic. Would definitely recommend if you're looking for a relatively economical base in Manhattan

Nice hotel, clean and well located
- 5/5
Room was small, but clean. The shared bathrooms weren’t so bad and clean most of the time. All of them have waterfall showers, which is an ideal, but my party made due. The only amenity I could wish for is a free cup of basic coffee, even if in a shared space.
- 5/5
Great location and the comfiest beds after a long day of walking around the city Nothing it was perfect for what we needed

- 2.5/5
Location, Toilet facilities, peaceful environment Room size, because I choose bigger room and they gave me small room, when I spoke to the receptionist, they didn’t cooperate.
- 3/5
The location is nice, close to a lot of tourist places etc. And food. Easy to get to the subway as well. There’s also a nice small rooftop (though the view isn’t as incredible as most commenters here describe) but it’s nice to get some sunlight. The bathrooms are a little old… they’re clean, but you can tell they’re a bit older. Also if you take the bunk bed it’s a bit of exercise to get up and down the ladder.
- 4/5
Still my favorite place to stay when I’m working in NYC. Consistently what I need, except this time. I had no desk, which made work more challenging.
- 5/5
Excellent experience here. Would definitely come back!

room was very small, but its usual for NY budget hotels. It was clean. I had a mouse in a room and it eat my candies and damaged a beautiful bag, in which I left the candies.

- 3/5
In terms of cleanliness, spaciousness (for budget hotel in New York), decor, vibe and location, There were no real amenities but I wouldn't expect any at this price point. I would have given this hotel 4.5 stars except for one thing. The WIFI was awful, terrible, appallingly bad. I could barely check my email and forget about streaming anything. I almost gave the hotel 2 stars because of it.
- 5/5
It was good nyc rules

We loved Pod51! For the location and the price you absolutely can’t beat it. The rooms are small but super comfortable and they get the job done. The shared bathrooms were always clean and surprisingly not as inconvenient as I expected. It felt like I was back in college again. Bring shower shoes hahaha. The rooftop has a great view & the coffee in the lobby is fantastic. The staff is incredible and available 24/7. One thing to keep in mind: there are no microwaves or fridges, at least in the twin bunk bed rooms. Super fun stay and we will 100000% be back!
- 5/5
Location: excellent, subways two blocks away. Calm at night to sleep well, and in a safe and fancy neighborhood. Staff: the best, all receptionist and employees were of great help, always willing to answer questions and helping you with everything. Room: cozy, comfortable, clean and modern. Perfect for a one person. They include shampoo, conditioner, soap, TP, towels, sheets, TV, and hangers. The only thing I would suggest is a minibar for storing water and stuff during the stay. I would suggest to include a minibar in the rooms.

You get what you pay for. Nice place to sleep and shower before heading out. Wifi is nice and reliable. We book the bunk beds and the frame we nice sturdy, no sounds coming out. Showers were much cleaner than I was expecting consider we had a shared bathroom. Would definitely come back and sleep here again.
- 5/5
The hotel is perfect for one person or a couple. The location is excellent, the staff was very kind, and there are some nice restaurants nearby, as well as a beautiful park, Greenacre Park, where there is a small café. Highly recommended.

Buena relación calidad y precio, una buena opción para quedarse en NY
- 5/5
Location. Cleanliness. Friendly and Welcoming Staff. View from the top.
- 3/5
- 4.5/5
The room is appropriate for the price and there's and elevator. There's no fridge or microwave.
- 5/5
The rooms were kept clean but most importantly the bathrooms were regularly cleaned. Had no issues with the shared bathroom situation. Room was excellent, beds comfortable. Window that opened and let in fresh air was a big plus. Rooftop is a great feature as is the cafe in the early mornings. I will definitely stay here again just because of the location, price, and ease of the entire booking.
- 2.5/5
It was really clean staff were friendly. There’s no free parking you struggle to find parking there’s one parking garage. You have to pay that’s near.
- 3/5
WiFi was awfully slow. Would not recommend if you need to work remote. Picture doesn’t do justice, room is a lot smaller than advertised via online.
- 5/5
The rooms are small, but very comfortable. The hotel is in a great neighborhood with a lot of restaurants and bars. I’ve stayed here many times and always enjoyed it.
- 5/5
Beyond impressed! Amazing location, great amenities, kind staff and much more spacious rooms than expected.
- 5/5
POD51 is a must stay when visiting New York. Not once did I regret the stay. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The property is clean and well maintained with an in-house cafe with great options for convenient on the go drinks and treats. It also has a fun bar attached to the property as well that you can enter from the hotel or street. The drinks are great and it’s a super fun atmosphere with board/card games. The rooms are pod rooms so they are not spacious by any means but they have everything you need. We stayed in a full pod which included a full sized bed with an attached private bathroom, it did not include a fridge or microwave so keep that in mind when eating out. There are other rooms where you share a bathroom with other guests so just look out for that if that’s something you’re worried about. With the amount of sight seeing we did we only used the room to rest and get ready for the day and that’s all we really needed. It’s in an incredible location, with cafes and restaurants and convenient stores all within a 1-5 minute walk. We even walked to the Empire State Building and Times Square. All in all a fantastic stay and will be staying again.

- 5/5
We were surprised about the sharing of the bathrooms. Never done that before. But there was one bathroom that had a big window in the shower. Realized there were more bathrooms and that made it better. It was so close to everything downtown. It was small but we basically used it to shower and sleep. So I would book this place again for sure.

We had an early check in, fast and pleasant staff at the receptionist desk. Our room was clean, with a cozy feel. It’s like back in my dorm in college. Our room was clean and just in front or the shared bathroom. The location was great, near restaurants and a short distance to the subway. We felt safe staying there.
- 2/5
Staff were super nice and welcoming. The rooms / bathrooms were hot. It was kinda expensive for 1 night
- 2.5/5
Nice location. Friendly Staff. We were put in a 4th floor walk up (they told us it was an upgrade - so we decided to brave the stairs). the only upgrade was that it had another bed. But we were only 2 people - we didnt need another bed.

Room was very spacious, perfect for the solo traveller looking for some personal space. Bed was comfortable and cozy, i felt like a squirrel sleeping on a nice cabin during a snowstorm. Everything was kept well cleaned, and front desk staff were friendly, funny, and always willing to help! Will 100% come for my next NYC stay.
- 5/5
Shared bathrooms were a little warm but very clean. No issues with finding open bathrooms/showers when needed.
- 4/5
It greatly located near many hidden gems for restaurants and multiple subways access. Roof top deck has great view however too many adirondack chairs
- 3/5
Basic modern midtown hotel that will soon need a facelift. Nice staff and convenient location. A little pricey for what you get.

- 5/5
I was little worried about shared bathroom and toilet, but it was overall a better stay than in another NYC hotel with bathroom within room. Bathroom was always clean and free. Room was clean, even if it was small it was more than enough for two girls. Staff was very helpfull and everything was great. Love to come back and would recommend this hotel to others.

- 4/5
Only reason it’s not full marks is the extra charge upon check in, it’s a bit of a whack on top when you first arrive and it’s not totally clear upon booking. I’d much rather know what I’m paying in full at time of booking.
- 5/5
Immaculate rooms and lobby. Nice staff. The gentleman who got a car service for me to go to La guardia was the best! Nice simple breakfast. This is a gem of a hotel, wifi was not always the best.
- 5/5
I recommend!
- 4.5/5
The room was clean and the room with two double beds was roomy. Also, it's nice having a safe in the room, and having the subway and restaurants within walking distance. Then small sink results in water getting all over the basin. It would be nice to have a full-length mirror and faster service for morning coffee.

The hotel is brilliantly located in Midtown, very close to a subway station and in a walking distance to an array of restaurants. Our room was cleaned daily and overall, we had a great experience. The staff is very friendly. The bathroom and toilet offer very little privacy which some may find challenging. Hotel bar was full of ants which discouraged us from buying and food.

Pros - It’s on the cheaper side by Manhattan standards (but by any other standards extremely expensive for what it is!) The location is fantastic. One block away from a subway station with multiple lines. Walkable to Times Square, Rockerfeller and Grand Central. Even walkable to Penn Station and Central Park if you want a bit of a longer walk. Safe area. I never once felt unsafe anywhere around the hotel. Food and shops - loads of good to go options in the surrounding couple of blocks, especially pizza and bagels. A couple of well stocked supermarkets. Roof terrace - nice terrace which I barely saw anyone using during my stay. Staff - couldn’t fault the staff. Friendly and helpful. Available 24/7. Cons - The entire hotel is tired and shabby looking. Chipped tiles, stained walls, threadbare carpets. The shared bathrooms can be touch and go. I appreciate that with a shared bathroom you rely on the decency of other guests and they can’t be cleaned after every use. On the plus side there are lots of them so I never had to wait. But probably a third of the time other guests hadn’t left them in the best state. Overall I would recommend the hotel on the basis that it’s about as cheap as you can get in Manhattan. Just be aware that this is far from luxury. If you just need somewhere to sleep it’ll do just fine.
- 3/5
location was great. Be prepared for small rooms but that is what a POD is. Great location. Clean and friendly staff sink was too small and water splashed on floor.
- 4.5/5
Great one night stay.
- 4.5/5
The Hotel is just opposite a nice recrational/resting point. The room and beddings were always clean. The washroom was equally clean and the water was always warm. The room size was somehow squeezed but adequate for a short period stay. There was some continous noise that sounded like noise from an Air Condioning system/machine.
- 3/5
very good roof view, clean, location perfect 2F,very loud outside and air conditioner very very loud too loud to sleep
- 4/5
Excellent staff: friendly, efficient. Avoid 14th floor room on weekends, unless you want to party on the roof deck. Very noisy on Saturday night.
- 4.5/5
That it was clean!! That everyone greets you with the willingness to solve any issue. Great stay

Very nice plate to stay.

Excellent location and the staff is phenomenal! The shared bathrooms are clean (until a rude guest ruins it) and the cafe and outdoor spaces are cozy and lovely. Grab your coffee and breakfast and head across the street to the waterfall public park. A GEM! Do not miss having lunch or dinner at SUGARFISH. OMG!
- 3/5
It was cold and no heater. They had to bring a space heater in and extra blankets. The room and bathroom is very small.

Since I was expecting the looks of Times Square POD, that old looking building and interior of this POD 51 was dissatisfying. Especially, because I did no see much price difference from the Times Square one.
- 5/5
Been staying at the POD51 once a week for several weeks, and they are a great basic place. The staff is always very helpful, and responds quickly; I was unable to adjust climate/ the air conditioning and they came right up and took care of it. The front desk staff went beyond to help me with my luggage and called a cab for me, which was awesome! I am most grateful and will continue to stay there for the next month. Convenient to lots of places to eat, drink and be merry, or stay put and quiet. Worth the stay!!

I’ve been staying at this property for years and years and I am always happy with my stay . The front desk is the best because they’re always willing to help with anything. My go to spot when I’m doing business in manhattan . The rooms are spotless , the bathrooms are well stocked and squeaky clean . The person that checks in luggage is a doll. As a woman traveling alone, I always feel safe and comfortable at pod 51. Everything was great
- 5/5
This was the perfect spot for me to stay while I was solo traveling in NYC! My room was comfortable and had everything I needed, and was cleaned every day. The property is centrally located in Manhattan and 3 minutes away from the nearest subway station. It was pretty quiet considering and I never had to wait for a bathroom. The rooftop terrace was also beautiful, I couldn't believe what I got for such a great price. I will definitely be back on my next trip to NYC.
- 4/5
I liked the convenient location of the hotel the most. It was near everything I needed. The little café in the lobby was great! Loved my latte and muffin, and the barista was very nice. Everyone there was very pleasant. The rooms don't really match the price, but I suppose we're paying more for convenience than anything. The shower definitely needed a good scrubbing. Something to block the light coming in from the bathroom window would have been nice as well.

Everything
- 4/5
The location of the property is really good. It’s not far from the main attractions but located in a rather quiet part of the city. The room was clean enough overall but there were some dirt & hair strands on the towels and bed sheets.
- 5/5
Excellent place to stay, I was there last week and will be coming back in October.
- 5/5
A very safe neighborhood, many people walking around, restaurants nearby that were opened
- 5/5
I love the pod :) It always comes in handy!

- 5/5
An accessible, a bit above spartan place with lovely staff and reasonable prices. Recommend!!
- 5/5
I am a native New Yorker and when I come back I have many family members that I can stay with but I choose the pod hotel…convenient (many options for locations in the city and I choose based on where I want to be) comfortable. safe and I love the international flair of most of the guests. I really enjoy the Pod hotels. I can't really thing of anything. Sure a refrigeratorgerator would be nice but I think that is almost impossible. I am a fan of the Pod hotels so I don't have a dislike.
- 4/5
This is a POD hotel so don't expect a lot of amenities. The rooms are small, but clean and quiet. The hotel is in a great neighborhood away from the crowds in midtown. Several nice restaurants in the area. The front desk staff were excellent and very helpful.
- 4/5
Very simple room . All the necessities. Good option for solo travelers. Would use again in the near future!
- 5/5
The building is located in a comparatively quiet neighborhood with an abundance of local shops, cafes and restaurants. Staff was polite and efficient. The lobby and the room were clean. All the fixtures and appliances worked, there was sufficient hot water and the bed was comfortable. The cost was reasonable.

Relative proximity to Time Square. Quiet, Comfy, Cozy.
- 4/5
Property was in a great place (next to an amazing Thai restaurant too), and we had a cute view of the street. Everything was very clean and staff were friendly. Some of the finishes of the room (like the panel covering the AC unit) weren't actually secured and it fell in the night and startled us.
- 5/5
On the plus sides, my room was small, but it was just fine for me. Space enough for my clothes and what I needed. A sink in the room was perfect. Shelves and hangers were great and gave flexibility. I opted for the bathroom down the hallway to save money, and that was fine. They were clean and only once did I have to wait just five minutes to use it. Otherwise, they were vacant each time I needed to go to the toilet. Having a cafe downstairs was very, very convenient first thing for coffee and yogurt. The location near the subway was also perfect (although the city was doing maintenance and that stop was closed for part of the time I was there). It is a close walk to Rockefeller Center, Fifth Avenue, Carnegie Hall (30 minutes), and a mere short subway ride to all points around. A great location, good service, comfortable, and affordable (no small thing in Manhattan). I highly recommend this place.
- 5/5
Had some challenges with the air on a previous visit, but gear worked fine. Comfortable basic place with a pleasant staff.
- 4/5
The bunkbeds are good and very clean. Only thing is that there is a communal shared bathroom with no sink located in the hallway. The sinks are in the room and the bathroom is down the hall. Not too much of a struggle but something to consider if you want more privacy.

As I attended a session at UN as a delegate, the room was functional for me and good enough, good design and comfortable, quiet. I could not open the window.
- 5/5
Clean rooms, attentive staff, great location. Two of us stayed in a bunk bed pod and had enough room to move around comfortably. Restrooms were clean every time we stepped into them during a three-night stay. On the second day of our stay, our AC went out and the room would not cool down. Spoke to the front desk on our way out that morning and by the time we returned in the afternoon, they had the issue resolved. If you don’t mind staying in pods/hostels and can manage with less room square footage, they are a great way to save money on a trip. This one was great; would stay here again.
- 4/5
The AC was fine, the room was clean. There was no face cloth in my bathroom but I asked the cleaning lady and she brought me 2. The staff downstairs was pleasant and helpful. I had a room next to the street and during the night there was a permanent noise outside like a motor so it was difficult to fall asleep. I don't know if the windows can be more soundproof to avoid that noise.
- 4/5
Staff are very nice, and the place is very lively. The room is so tight and too really two small. The place is more like a hostel, beds are not comfortable. I've changed to another hotel with a twin bed and breakfast, not far from this one, and the price was less than a hundred bucks more expensive.
- 4/5
The room was clean and the bed very comfortable The location was central to many places, restaurants and the like.
- 2/5
This is really ideal for younger travelers. It’s like living in a dorm with people in and out making all sorts of noise in the middle of the night. The staff was friendly.
- 5/5
Convenient, quiet, comfortable and great value. Roof top deck finished the evening nicely! Staff was quick, morning coffee from the in-house cafe window was convenient and great tasting. This was my second stay. Will stay again! One of the elevators was down. But it had three elevators!
- 3.5/5
The room was quite small
- 5/5
I had a very nice stay. I was a little nervous about the shared bathroom, but it was no problem at all!
- 4.5/5
Great location, affordable prices, and friendly staff. No issues or complaints. Nothing major. We booked a room w a shared bathroom which can be challenging but it didn’t become an issue.
- 5/5
Bed was comfortable. Excellent location for us (we walked everywhere we wanted to go, including all the Broadway theatres). Shared washroom which was sometimes an issue when people left wet towels lying around.
- 3.5/5
Great staff, cleaners. Do not stay more then 2 days you are going to get claustrophobic. Perfect for quick visit.
- 4/5
The room is too small but clean. The location is excellent.
- 5/5
The POD51 is a clean, safe, reliable but not flashy place to stay at a reasonable price. The staff is delightful and the bed was comfortable, plenty of heat and hot water. There are many food options in their area and some provide discounts. It is a great utilitarian option and I highly recommend it.
- 1/5
Do not get the shared bathroom rooms they are so small a mouse can’t fit
- 5/5
In a great area and near a lot of quick food places. Subway was nearby allowing easy access to public transit if needed. Will definitely be recommending to family and friends, and will definitely be my spot to stay when visiting.
- 5/5
Clean & chic room! Staff are very nice and efficient.
- 3/5
We booked and paid for a room with a Queen-size bed, but they gave us a room with a Full-size bed. The photos and description online showed a Queen bed. We felt deceived.
- 5/5
Great location and professional and courteous staff!
- 5/5
Bare bones place but clean and well situated
- 5/5
Great location! Room was comfortable. As someone who hasn’t stayed in a Hostel setting in over 35 years, it went great.
- 5/5
Excellent place, well located but small rooms
- 2/5
Way too tiny for the price. It's because I am not ready for NY prices and didn't understand pod. Never mind this village boy.
- 5/5
My ac didn’t work

Less clean and comfortable than what I was expecting. Property is old, rooms were very minimal. Shared bathrooms were in bad shape. Ended up leaving earlier. Staff were nice overall.

It was a clean and comfortable place to sleep during a busy trip. Great value for the money.
- 2/5
To small metal bed not comfortable.
- 2/5
Dark, small room. There is a window but it faced a wall and let no light in. Old tiling in the bathroom. Metal sink. The pod hotel in times square was much better.
- 1/5
You can barely sleep, besides the small size of the rooms and bathrooms, there is constant noise in the hallways and slamming of doors. Toilets don’t flush properly. Bathrooms are too small. Spend the extra money and stay elsewhere.
- 2/5
Parking at 3 min. Staff ok. No bar in the room
- 3/5
Pod 51 is in a good, safe location with easy access to restaurants, midtown, and transportation. The rooms are tiny (really tiny, you can barely move in the bathroom) and the night I stayed there was a large bag of empty bottles in the hallway. Whatever cleaner they use is so strongly scented I had to open both windows to get it out. But the staff is very friendly and helpful. Fine for a night or two.
- 5/5
Our stay was awesome! It’s in a great location and felt very safe. Our only problem was the sliding bathroom door that wouldn’t stay closed. I’m sure this isn’t a problem in just our room. They really need to fix the doors as the room is already so small so that’s privacy that is much needed.
- 4/5
I like the clean environment and the coffee shop in the morning. However, when doing reservation, it would be great to clearly state if the room has a bathroom or a shared bathroom with the floor. Although I had no issues sharing a bathroom for the first part of my stay, that is something I like to have. I didn't think it was clear enough when I reserved.
- 1/5
Everything is okay okay but nobody mentioned that we can’t provide breakfast but in the google say that the hotel provides breakfast and also hotel doesn’t mention the washroom is common
- 4/5
Location is great. Staffs were very nice and the room was clean. It was cozy to stay. We will come back here agin for sure!
- 3/5
The place is great but I was in the second floor with view to the street and the noise at night was terrible there is a bar next to the hotel , I could hear people fighting or screaming even the police came one night , I would stay again but ask for a higher floor or the other side of the building
- 5/5
Fun, fine. Old style shared bathrooms a bit weird but fine
- 4/5
Pleasant stay. It’s called the Pod for a reason.
- 3/5
This is a classic case of you get what you pay for. The location was great. We opted for a full pod and it was aged. The worse was the toilet, there was zero room for your feet in front of you to sit. You had to sit like riding a horse. The metal sink was terrible. Small and almost useable, water splashed everywhere. Could not properly put your head in the sink with the spout in the way. There were no wash clothes provided. At least the room was clean except the floor. White socks turned black just with taking off shoe and walking one step literally.
- 3/5
Functional, but quite expensive for what it actually is. Staff friendly and helpful and the rooms are clean, but the walls are thin and the doors slam so the nights are noisy.
- 4/5
The room was efficiently laid out. Perfect for single traveller on a short trip. All staff encountered were friendly and helpful. I was even allowed to check in early so I could get ready for an event I was attending. Only complaint was noise from doors closing in the middle of the night. Sound dampening could be explored.
- 5/5
Always a great place to stay. Wonderful staff, clean rooms, accessible.
- 5/5
Great space close to lots of activities. Decent food options close by and very close to conscience store and bank. Staff were friendly and everything was clean.
- 2/5
Washroom was gross. No washroom in your room, but there are washrooms done the hallway, really dirty washrooms
- 5/5
Unfortunately, the heating system did not work in room 521 during the coldest of winters.
- 5/5
Nice staff clean room
- 4/5
great japanese restaurant right next to hotel
- 5/5
Great Midtown East location. Clean and cheap.
- 5/5
Great value for a Manhattan stay. The most courteous staff. Fast and efficient check-in/check-out. Early check-in wasn’t guaranteed but was easy and without hassle. Wonderful location, close proximity to many restaurants, sites, and subway station.
- 5/5
Satisfied with my overall stay, everything was better than I expected
- 5/5

- 4/5
The neighborbood is great. Lots of stores, bats, bodegas around for everything you need.
- 4/5
It was a good stay for the weekend.
- 2/5
staff was cool, but I found a cockroach on my bed…. Changed rooms and upgraded, although we had to move in the morning to a different room was very inconvenient.

The room was convenient and so was the location. The rooftop view was beautiful and I had no issue with my stay at all. However, a fridge and drinking water would be nice and convenient

From the moment I got there, the staff was friendly and welcoming. I was lucky enough to get an early check-in, which was a nice surprise since I was up early and needed to rest. The room was clean, nice and comfortable, and the bathrooms were clean every time.

Outstanding room, common areas, restroom and staff. Staff treat you like you're at the Ritz. Best value in the city.
- 5/5
Love it. Clean and orderly. Staff is very helpful and respectful
- 5/5
Clean and comfortable

The heater was making a constant ticking and buzzing sounds. Very basic hotel. Only stay here if you have no other choice.
- 5/5
Stalf was very welcoming, I had a great stay. Quick check-in and clean environment. Thank you
- 5/5
Great location. Rooms cleaned every day even you do not have to ask. Have not seen this for a while in other places I have stayed at.
- 4/5
Room was small but convenient.
- 4/5
Great stay
- 3/5
I just did not like that the bathroom was separate. and did not vacuum the floor. The staff was helpful as well.
- 5/5
Love the staff. Room was clean.
- 5/5
This is exactly as advertised, small, but very functional and clean rooms. I had a full pod with shower and toilet, and it was perfect. Not one item too much in the room and not one item too little. The staff was very kind and courteous, airport Transportation was convenient with a limo driven by a very pleasant lady. I had to cut my trip short due to a family emergency, but will be returning next week to complete what I had to do in New York. I definitely would recommend this place to anybody who wants convenience, safety, cleanliness, and everything that New York has to offer.
- 3/5
The rooms are a lot smaller than pictured but still comfortable. There was a cockroach in the hallway but as soon as they were alerted they got it fixed. Overall it was decent but nothing special
- 3/5
It’s okay , very small . Pillows a little dirty.
- 3/5
Clean room. Basic room. Compact, very, but it’s NYC. Bathroom was horrible for us. Couldn’t close door. And can see into bathroom from the bedroom (literally a window between 2 rooms. Shower was too small. Wish the shower head was adjustable so that it was not literally raining on you the entire time, especially if you weren’t planning to wash hair. Water temperature only reached lukewarm in the shower.
- 5/5
Great location! Fun bar below to watch football. Room is small but has everything you need and is very clean.
- 5/5
Staff was super nice and it was super clean!!

Great service, clean room, nice staff
- 5/5
Clean room and staff
- 4/5
Cool location and staff
- 5/5
We stayed in the Queen Sized private bedroom. Yes it was small but it was large enough for our needs. It was also priced significantly better than anything else we could find in Mid-Town Manhattan. The hotel is within walking distance of Grand Central Station (Terminal) and other subway/bus routes. The staff was friendly and courteous, cleaned our room everyday and always gave good advise for nearby restaurants and directions to where we needed to go. For the price Pod51, worked out great for us.
- 5/5
All of the above. Everything was good, glad I booked the hotel again I have no issues at all.
- 5/5
Amazing staff, great location, fantastic price.
- 3/5
It has what you need. Convenient if you use just to sleep.
- 3/5
Not really any amenities felt kind of like a college dorm but it was clean and cheap 3/5 stars id say
- 4/5
Pretty good for a small compact room.
- 5/5
The room is very clean, and the building is close to many beautiful places.
- 4/5
Staff were amazing. Room was smaller than expected.
- 5/5
Very clean and cozy
- 5/5
Staff friendly, great location, clean, quiet.
- 1/5
horrible place
- 3/5
Room was as advertised. Staff were not very friendly and treated us suspiciously. Probably wouldn’t stay here again.
- 5/5
Clean. It’s great considering the price and location. Warm. The room and shared bathroom is small, good for 1 night stay
- 4/5
Very small room. Not recommended if more than one person. Room was clean and hotel is in excellent location.
- 5/5
Spotless room. Wonderful staff at check in.
- 5/5
Clean room and it was adjusted heat by the hotel since it was fall going into winter.
- 1/5
For water bottles and were denied. Also, the rooms are extremely small. The place has very terrible smell coming on entire 11th floor
- 5/5
Great room and location!
- 4/5
Price was good and staff was friendly. fit my needs for my New York shorts stay.. most importantly it was close to Rockefeller Center
- 5/5
Once you're used to the Eurpoean
- 4/5
Good option for a spartan crash pad. Everything was clean and functional. Location was convenient for getting around Manhattan as well.
- 2/5
Not ideal. No restrooms.
- 1/5
If you get a room on the 14th floor find a different hotel. Bathrooms are small and dirty, rooms are like 90 degrees forcing you to sleep with windows open and they don’t seem to have a working vacuum for use in the hallway.
- 5/5
Our room was very clean, the staff was very helpful and friendly.
- 5/5
very clean and easy
- 4/5
.
- 5/5
Even tho shared bathroom was super clean and staff made up for it being super polite
- 5/5
Great location coming from LGA airport and walking distance to time square
- 4/5
Room was clean and staffs were so nice!
- 5/5
The hotel is in a great location, close to Rockefeller Center and the Theater District. The staff were friendly. The front desk staff were helpful when needs arose. I will return to this hotel in the future/
- 4/5
Rooms were clean
- 5/5
The place was amazing, the heating was amazing as well it was the perfect temperature. Unfortunately there was no mini fridge or anything but there were great eats around the area. Staff were good. The views were amazing and we had no issues at all. It was in a very central area where you could catch the 6 uptown and downtown. Very walkable area as well. We would definitely stay again.
- 5/5
Great bar next door.
- 5/5
Everything was fine, except for one thing- the noise level in the room is TERRIBLE! Every time somebody used a bathroom or shower in the other rooms, it sounded like the whole plumbing was ripped out of the walls in my room. AC was very noisy as well, but the bathroom noise was the worst I’ve ever heard. I barely got 3 hours of sleep.
- 3/5
Having no comforter or duvet is pretty crazy. For $450+ per night, I'd definitely say look for other places.
- 5/5
Clean room & nice staff
- 5/5
Friendly staff, clean everything and convenient location.
- 5/5
Hater did work quite well. Other than that everything else was good
- 2/5
Yes , cold , no desk or chair to sit which was important to me for work prep ,view was another wall outside . Dilapidated
- 5/5
Great location and enjoyable stay.
- 4/5
The room was nice but the HVAC was very loud and the thermostat did not seem to work
- 4/5
I would I stay again, yes! Price was fair for location and close to subway. I would definitely be prepared for next trip
- 4/5
Very comfortable but pricey for what it is. Busy time in the city though. Would stay here again in the future if in a pinch. Close to subways.
- 3/5
Location is great next to the E train. Lots of restaurants around. Good bagels too. Staff responsible, respectful and friendly. Not sure if this review will be cancelled.. it could be the hotel or Expedia or they cooked this together. Using a Canadian app, default to CAD$, this particular listing managed to list the price surreptitiously in U$. With a fine print that this hotel is listed in U$ currency. Be aware of this information when booking! The price being in US dollars ended up at par white other hotels with better amenities and space. Double check when booking.
- 5/5
Clean, well lit and working order room. Tommy at check in reservations was great!
- 1/5
My flight to NY was cancelled by the airline due to the government shutdown - there were insufficient air traffic control workers at the airport to allow my incoming flight to land. Called POD51 (and Hotels.com). POD51 refused to allow me to cancel, reschedule or use even a partial amount of the funds as a credit for a future stay. Hotels.com tried for several days to have POD51 issue at least a partial credit to no avail.
- 4/5
Lobby, rooftop & cafe make this budget hotel cozier.
- 3/5
Heat in the room did not work well. Otherwise, nice stay.
- 5/5
I got a single full pod. It was pretty nice and cozy. I will say the room was a bit small but it worked for me. I loved the terrace and the area was great.
- 5/5
The staff was very nice, location was amazing, and food was all around the hotel. Overall an amazing experience
- 5/5
My stay was amazing! The staff at the front desk were friendly and communicative. I booked a single room with a private bathroom, and everything was as expected. Very clean and no weird smells.
- 4/5
Excelente ubicación... a pesar de saber que los baños son compartidos, no estaban completamente limpios. Es decir, deberian liampiar con mas frecuencia. En terminos generales, todo fue Excelente
- 5/5
Hidden gem. This spot was perfect for getting to the office quickly. Chose the room with ensuite bathroom. Everything about Pod 51 was in point. Will definitely be back again. Shout out to the night desk clerk. What a great and welcoming attitude.
- 1/5
Awful
- 5/5
Very affordable option, room was small but perfect since I spent most of the time out anyway, shared bathrooms were always clean and didn't have any problems waiting, very convenient location
- 3/5
Staff was friendly, nice location, room was clean but very hot, no thermostat in room, luckily I could open windows to cool it down.
- 3/5
Very small room and bathroom.
- 5/5
Nice place for 2 nights! The stuff is pretty nice!!!
- 4/5
Friendly and affordable.
- 5/5
This was the perfect location for my overnight trip. Benny was great! It was my first time having a room without a bathroom inside of it but worked out okay.
- 5/5
It’s a very convenient location for everything. Walking distance to some restaurants. Has late restaurants that open for a grab late at night.
- 2/5
The staff was decent, however I want to point out some serious issues with this property starting with the bogus resort fee that when you argue with them about it they tell you that twice a week they have free walking tours and that the resort fee that everyone has to pay enables you to check out late so that you can check out at 1 PM instead of noon. Absolutely absurd they need to just be honest someone in their management team decided to add a bogus resort fee for more revenue you absolutely get nothing for this fee that they charge. In addition the bathrooms are disgusting, these are shared bathrooms so you have no idea being in New York City with thousands of foreign tourist who has been in the bathroom before you and there is nowhere except for in the shower to hang anything up so you have these tiny Bathrooms with nowhere to hang anything out or to put your shoes aside when the floor is sopping wet from the person before you that showered, it’s just disgusting and filthy there was clumps of hair when I went to shower everywhere the toilet had not been flushed twice when I went to use the shower The toilet paper was soggy wet, the bathroom situation is just gross. As for the rooms will you get what you pay for and the bunkbeds will blow your mind as well as the little sink in your room, I felt like I was in a penitentiary it is stainless steel/silver metal and it resembles a jail cell/penitentiary - never ever ever again, legitimately this place should be one star
- 5/5
The hotel was clean, staff were always available in the lobby for questions. The room was exactly was I expected when I booked. The roof area was nice for hanging out and they have a small outdoor area on the main level with picnic tables. I would happily stay here again, great value compaired to other local hotels.
- 5/5
Clean, organized.
- 5/5
It was amazing!
- 5/5
Clea
- 5/5
Perfect location, very friendly staff.
- 4/5
Love the staff, always. Room was very warm but easy to adjust. Bathroom was a bit of a mess, with a towel being left in the shower even overnight. Always love staying here.
- 3/5
Water bending M/C is also necessary for every user.
- 5/5
Everything was amazing even though it was small it was still nice!
- 5/5
Much improved staff friendliness and helpfulness. Everything ai needed.
- 5/5
Very clen and very pleasant
- 5/5
Cleanliness of the room. Sheets and pillows were crisp and clean.
- 5/5
Clean room and bathroom. Perfect location.
- 5/5
Kind
- 1/5
So small you could barely turn around in the bathroom. There was a surprise $50 charge when I arrived that wasn’t made clear when I booked.
- 5/5
Had a nice experience
- 3/5
Very noisy! Staff was nice room was clean
- 4/5
Great location!
- 4/5
Rooms are small but a good savings over larger hotels.
- 5/5
The staff is friendly. Rooms are clean.
- 1/5
I hated it.. I paid $1100 for 3 nights and the room is terrible and on too i was surprised i was given a shared bathroom.. the room was not clean.. dust, hair and no mini fridge .. terrible bed you will wake up with bad back pain.. Even the main reception didn’t have a fridge or microwave.. I feel I waisted my money and didn’t get any value or comfort
- 5/5
Loved this Hotel! Wonderful location with a quiet waterfall/park across the street where you could enjoy your coffee! Cute diner around the corner for a great breakfast! Room was clean and cozy. Parking garage located across the street. Friendly staff!
- 1/5
Don’t do it. The price might be right but it’s not worth it.
- 3/5
Staff was professional and kind. The radiator in the room was a bit noisy at night
- 4/5
They forgot to make the bed one day. Other than that, everything was ok. They were very nice.
- 4/5
The room was clean and we had a good time
- 5/5
- 4/5
It was a unique experience going back to dorm room living. The room was very clean with only one detractor that one of the towels had an odd smell. Everything else was great, convenient to locations I was visiting and checkin/out was easy.
- 5/5
Clean room, very functional, great location.
- 5/5
The stay was overall wonderful. I didn't interact much but the staff were all friendly and helpful. I never felt unsafe or like i couldn't ask them for help if i needed. Room was clean and tidy no complaints. Ac was great and ducting while i was there.
- 2/5
Expensive for what it was, even in NYC. There is absolutely no sound-proofing so paying the Friday/Saturday night rate felt insulting. NYC is the city that never sleeps so if you hear everything going on then you don't either.
- 4/5
Good convenient midtown hotel
- 5/5
It was a nice stay. Staff was friendly
- 3/5
Clean room, well located,
- 5/5
Location is amazing for stay in NY.
- 1/5
Yellow water came out is the faucet. No heat and when I complained they gave me a blanket
- 4/5
Of course
- 2/5
The room was fine. Expectedly sparse. The bathrooms appeared clean, but the showers were disgusting. The drains were clogged and there were moths everywhere. I would not recommend staying here.
- 4/5
Great staff, lovely and helpful! All we needed for a quick stay in NYC
- 4/5
Clean, convenient. But no ability to control AC in your pod. So can be loud and impact your sleep.
- 2/5
More a hostel than a hotel. Many rooms have no bathrooms so there is a constant sound of doors opening and closing. There was no heat in my room and the front desk said the heat is controlled by the residential units in the building. They obviously chose not to turn on the heat. The outside temperature was 59 degrees and the feels like temperature was 49 due to wind and rain. The price was right but the product was awful.,
- 5/5
Buen lugar
- 4/5
Small but great location for the budget-minded. Bathrooms are separate and shared, which can be a plus… six-block walk to Radio City and the theater district, less to the UN, a tiny bit further to MOMA. No complaints!
- 5/5
The location was great and the staff was very welcoming. The check-in process was quick and easy, and I was very happy with my accommodation. I also enjoyed the garden area in the morning. I will definitely be staying here again.
- 5/5
Spotless room & very nice staff. We didn’t get the exact room that we booked (queen) and ended up in a studio instead with two beds, but it was very large & probably would have been more expensive than what we booked. We will definitely stay again!
- 5/5
Exceptional front desk service!
- 5/5
More affordable place to stay in NYC but the space is quite small but it's expected. Pretty clean, good service.
- 5/5
This hotel is in the vicinity of so many areas of the city you'd want to visit. Most of them walkable. Across the street is a lovely and serene urban park. Dining options are plenty. This is the perfect place if you don't mind minimalist fare in accommodation. The staff is friendly and helpful.
- 5/5
Nice area really quiet!!
- 5/5
Clean
- 5/5
Almost every pod location I love
- 5/5
It is a perfect place to stay
- 5/5
selection of restaurants in the area. Felt safe, clean enough and festive.
- 5/5
Great front desk
- 5/5
Everything is fine, thank you for everybody works in the hotel
- 3/5
i really liked the wooden louvre blinds - kept the room nice and dark!
- 4/5
Really enjoyed how available the shared barhrooms are, 2 per floor yet always available. I really liked how i could store my luggage for free in the lobby after checkout. The rooftop terrace is a nice bonus, with a view from 14 floors high. Had nice and quiet neighbors and made a noce experience staying here.
- 4/5
Room with private bathroom: all was good but the hammock shaped mattress needed to be rotated, flipped or more likely replaced. Good A/C and good water pressure.
- 5/5
Good location for prime spots.
- 3/5
Everything was clean but the rooms were way too small for me and my mom, the beds as well they said it was a queen but it felt like a twin in my opinion. For what you pay it was pretty expensive, but everything was walkable and near everything. The wifi wasn’t really good either.
- 4/5
Toilet was too low for an older person to get off of. AC didn’t work but was necessary to circulate air.
- 5/5
The staff here is incredible, especially for what's probably considered to be value hotel. This was my second stay at a pod location, previously I stayed at Pod 39 and at both locations my room was ready when I arrived - hours before the official check in time - which after a long day of travel is such a wonderful surprise. The hotel is also quiet, some places I've stayed you can hear other doors opening and closing at all times of the night waking me up but not the case here at all. The room was kept so clean by the housekeeping team and was stocked very well throughout the entire stay. One down side is that there's no streaming services, just regular cable, but you're in NYC so who really needs that anyway?!?! It was nice to have additional communal bathrooms in the hallway for each person to get ready at the same time. Also, I wish the AC worked a little better, it stayed on and kicked out air but it shot straight up to the ceiling instead of out into the room so I had to keep it on constantly to keep the room comfortable but it wasn't a deterrent for me coming back. Lastly, located within 5 minutes walking to both the E Train and the 6 Line so getting around most parts of Manhattan was easy and light traffic on the street made transportation by car convenient as well. Thank you again for a great week, can't wait to come back!!
- 3/5
Better than I thought it would be. Front desk staff was responsive, friendly, helpful. Room was about what you can expect. Only complaint really was noise from people hooping and hollering in the hallways. Noise came right through the door.
- 2/5
If you come to NYC and want to have a nice stay, I recommend considering other options. You can often find much better hotels for the same price. This place is more like something between a hostel and a hotel. The beds are very uncomfortable, and many rooms don’t have a private bathroom.
- 5/5
Very helpful staff, clean room.
- 4/5
Did not offer things like mini refrigerator or microwave, but for a tiny space it won’t be practical.
- 1/5
Rooms in NYC were super expensive so we booked a bunk with shared bathroom. We thought how bad could it be? It was awful. The bathrooms were disgusting. Dirty water covering the floors, stunk horribly like someone gave birth to last week’s buffalo wings. We could not stay.
- 4/5
Great customer service even though Expedia did not provide the accurate room requested - the hotel honored what was on the confirmation. Gary was great! Loved the location and recommend the turtle pub around the corner for good food and a friendly atmosphere. Air conditioning in the room didn’t get below 73-74 - only down side. Let's put aside the sky-high prices for what is supposed to be a stay-on-the-budget establishment that bridgea the gap between hostel and hotel - around $300 a night for a bunk bed room with a shared bathroom and nearing $500 for a single pod with a private bathroom. I had to extend my reservation twice while staying there. I ended up *having* to change rooms both times - both times the front desk told me around 12pm - "bring out your things and wait here, we don't have a room for you." When I asked if I can stay in my current room until one is available the answer was no. The second time around I called to extend and I was told there is only a single pod with a shared bathroom available for about $500. I went online to find out there were plenty of other room types including the one i was in at the time. I booked there what i thought was a full pod, but I probably overlooked. The cost of the downgraded room ~ $450/night. When I went to check-in I was told I have to change rooms, since I booked a different type and the same "bring your luggage down and wait" response. When I asked if I can keep my current room the answer was an immediate "no" followed by,

Our space was small but just what we needed in a fantastic neighborhood!

Located in a great area of Manhattan. Times Square and Central Park are a 15 - 20 minute walk. Madison Ave is right there and there's plenty of other places a short walk away. The pod I was in was cozy and clean. The staff always provided fresh towels and tidy up the room when I was out and about. Other individuals staying there were friendly and polite. The doors tend to slam if you don't assist them close, but it's honestly not that bad. Just sleep with earbuds if you're sensitive to that. Other than that I will definitely stay here again when I come back to NYC.

Paper thin walls, everyone that worked their was a foreigner, couldn’t understand the staff, bathrooms were dirty

Just needed a place to spend the night. For being in Manhattan, what it’s work and the cost it was okay. Nothing special. Good neighborhood.

Very dirty hotel. Dust in my room. Room looked better the second day vs my arrival check in. Could tell somebody actually sweep d and tidy up. Ceilings low (I am 5’11). Mold in the shower. Toilet looked like it hadn’t been cleaned in months. Spider webs in the window. Had a strange smell to the room. Floor was dirty. Sink had drainage issue , water piling up in sink. Not good lighting. The tv channels kept playing re runs every hour. Very very very small room. Very tight shower couldn’t even lifts up my arms without hitting the shower walls. Had to ask everyday for new towels and wash clothes. Sometimes would bring either towel no washcloth or washcloth and no towel. Weird smell in the hotel and room. Staff was cool but I shouldn’t have to ask for towels everyday and to clean my room. Yeah definitely get what u pay for: I’m never staying here again. Not sure why Expedia has this listed as such high stars. The building rating outside is B 76 but honestly should be C or D. Not up to code or standards. No fridge no microwave no nothing.Save your money.

Great value.

Not clean and noisy

Pod 51 was what we expected it to be when we booked it. The rooms were small but that is what we payed for. The rooms and the shower were clean. It was quiet and the beds were quite comfortable. It was a bit pricey for the room but overall a good stay.

The shower was powerful. Did not like finding a wad of hair and bits of toilet paper in found on the floor in the bathroom. The condom wrapper found on the bed platform was unexpected, the floors were gritty . Would not recommend this place!

Great location small room

This is an excellent and safe location. Everything you want is close by. I’m going to try to stay here again next year.
- 4/5
Nice hotel, cheap for the solo traveler or for staying with friends.
- 2/5
The only thing they have going for them is the staff is really nice. Unfortunately they are losing business with their tiny cafe because only one person working it. Elevators are super old and the wait is always LONG. They try to maximize the super tiny rooms the layout is awful. My head on the single bed was directly next to the air conditioner. It you want to rough it go stay there although not worth the price. Location is good though.

The location was great for dropping my daughter off at college.

Rooms - bunk bed is fine enough. Not the best but it’s budget status. Doesn’t shake the top bunk too much.
- 3/5
Nice hotel very very basic.
- 5/5
The place was clean and had hot water and the location was great! East check in and check out and so affordable I would stay here again for sure. I told All my friends!
- 3/5
Smaller than expected. The shared bathrooms did not have paper towels to dry hands, did not have somewhere to set down/hang clothes and shower supplies, and did not have good- if any ventilation/air circulation.
- 5/5
Very convenient location to sleep, shower and keep your baggage while exploring the sites of Nyc

Good

It was exactly what I needed, and the area was perfect for shopping.
- 5/5
Absolutely loved Pod 51. We had the shared bathroom option and it was absolutely fine. No issues, always clean. Staff were great and really helpful. We definitely recommend for the location. It was fab x
- 3/5
The only real issue was the mattress or bed was sagging on the one side. Either broken or damaged. Otherwise the stay was good.
- 5/5
Friendly staff, comfy beds, clean rooms and great air conditioning. We really enjoyed our stay.
- 5/5
I would consider staying here again when I come back to NYC. I was very happy with the location and the overall hotel and the price was perfect for the experience offered.
- 5/5
Nice hotel, clean bathrooms, quiet, no problems.
- 4/5
The property is unique. Very clean very good. Only thing is that you can hear loud noise from other room other then that the property is very very good.
- 5/5
Perfect for what I needed!!
- 5/5
This was my second time staying at Pod 51. I enjoyed my stay. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. I will be back again.
- 5/5
Even though I stayed in a double pod with a private bathroom, the communal bathrooms were very clean and comfortable to use.
- 5/5
It was a teenie tiny room with dorm style shared bathrooms, but hey, it was cheaper than a regular hotel by $100 a night so I'll take it. You get what you pay for, and for this price, it's definitely worth it. The location is awesome and super convenient and located near a bunch of train lines. If crash space is all you need, then this is perfect.

Just small bathroom
- 5/5
Great location! Very nice and welcoming staff. Clean rooms and clean lobby. Really enjoyed staying here
- 4/5
Our room was very clean. Staff were very helpful. We missed having a kettle or coffee pot in the room but realize that this minor inconvenience helps keep the price very reasonable for NYC.

The most bang for your buck that’s ever banged
- 5/5
My favorite place to stay when I visit NYC!! Staff is very nice and helpful. The rooftop view is AMAZING. Checking in and checking out is a breeze. So many places close by to go eat or visit. Make sure you visit the bodega 5 min from Pod. They are open 24 hrs and have so much to offer! The make fresh juices. Delicious

Close to every thing

Love the area
- 5/5
A central place for me to be in the city.

The management should provide clear instructions on how to operate the air conditioning system. I had never encountered this before, throughout my stay the cooling was off and I was unable to sleep. I came late, exhausted from the day and couldn’t find the energy to ask.
- 3/5
I think this property is great for young people without a lot of luggage

panda express nearby and morning star cafe was hella gas. Bed was alright

Even though the room was a little small, it was a nice little room with tv’s extra pillows and towels.
- 5/5
the rooms are small but clean and comfortable with plenty of transportation and food options staff were great and will let you check in early if rooms are available
- 4/5
I needed a place to sleep whilst my apt was being painted. Pod 51 was the perfect pick. I opted for the full pod which has a private bathroom. The bed was comfortable as were the pillows. The only thing was the air conditioner - it worked fine but was noisy. Other than that, it was a very pleasant stay.
- 5/5
The location is great and the price is affordable. The room is small but comfortable and there is a safe in it. All you need to visit New York.
- 3/5
Good place to stay. A bit expensive but that's New York city in summer.
- 5/5
Hotel is affordable for NY city price. Great for short stay.
- 5/5
European vibe, compact like a boat, smart and an awesome roof sect to catch the breeze and the view.
- 5/5
Accessibility to many dining and shopping experiences and transport options
- 5/5
For a Pod hotel the rooms were small but slightly more space than expected. The rooftop was nice but we were asked to leave around 12:30 at night, we didn’t know there was a cutoff since there were no signs indicating that. Restaurants are nearby and not to far from the subway.
- 3/5
The shared showers don't look like they're being cleaned. There was a tear in my bed cover.
- 5/5
A wonderful hotel to stay in. Everything is in walking distance including food, transportation, and major tourist attractions which include 5TH Ave, Time Square, Central Park, St. Patrick Cathedral, Radio City Music Hall and Rockefella Center. The air conditioning kept me cool. The bed was comfortable and the restrooms and showers were cleaned and I didn’t have any trouble utilizing them when needed. The elevators worked and the hotel staff were amazing. Plus the cost is very affordable and reasonable and, yes, I definitely would stay there again the next time I’m in town.
- 5/5
Wonderful staff, attentive, thoughtful; quiet well appointed rooms. Such a wonderfully run hotel from albert to erik to benny and raul; considerate thoughtful amazing staff.

Was good no problem

I was only here one night since I missed my flight! But I had a great stay, the staff was very friendly at check in & the hotel itself is very cool, colorful and great ambiance! I did the shared bathroom one and I honestly didn’t know what to expect - the bathroom is private they have (4) units on the floor and you can open it with your room key, it’s completely private and is stocked with shampoo, conditioner, & body wash. The water pressure was amazing and the bathroom also has a JBL installed which is playing while you shower very subtle but definitely there! I was a bit scared when I saw “shared bathroom” but honestly was the only hotel I found for $100 the night in NYC as a same day booking and very last minute, I’m glad I stayed here! The room also was a bunk bed so my brother and I each got our own bed and the room does have a mini sink in the actual room so you can brush your teeth, face etc and don’t have to go constantly to the bathroom for this. I didn’t have a to make a line at all or even wait to shower etc. like I said I didn’t know what to expect since I’ve never stayed in hotel w no private bathroom! Honestly was great I would stay here again…FYI this is not a hostel rooms are private

I really loved the rooftop view and the hot showers!

Near the everything and nice place
- 4/5
Great midtown location close to public transportation and things to do. Clean room. Helpful staff.

Great
- 4/5
Front desk staff for afternoon check-in remains rude. For morning check-out, staff is fantastic and friendly. Security, maintenance, and housekeeping are helpful and friendly. Property is nice, quiet, safe, and conveniently located. Beds and rooms are comfortable. Shared bathrooms are clean, secure, and well-maintained.
- 2/5
This property is NOT a hotel. It’s a hostal (no private bathrooms)! And that fact is, this is not properly communicated anywhere (except small print, which is disgraceful).
