Reviews
The hotel is praised for its excellent location, particularly its proximity to Central Park and other attractions. Guests generally appreciate the friendly and helpful staff. However, there are frequent complaints about the rooms, including issues with air conditioning, cleanliness, and size of the bathrooms. Some guests also express dissatisfaction with the value for money, citing high prices for breakfast and other services.

The view is phenomenal. I did not like that. The room does not have its own coffee maker. The gym is quite lacking as well

Everything was perfect! I can’t wait to go back!
- 5/5
The views are absolutely outstanding! I would recommend this hotel to everyone! They have wonderful 24 hour room service which tries to make up for the fact that they’re rooftop bar is closed and there daytime restaurant in the lobby is closed. I hope they can open that soon! They do have a restaurant on the premises, but it has no views. However, the room service is excellent, and the views are unbeatable! I hope the other restaurants open soon! I had a great experience and I can’t wait to go back!
- 4.5/5
Great location and wonderful accommodations. Rooftop and bar was only open for breakfast.
- 4/5
This hotel is ideally located and close to everything, the staff is outstanding and extremely friendly and helpful. The lobby bar was closed in the afternoons and the rooftop bar closed one night for a private event and the only option was a small bar on the second floor which was very crowded. I’m unsure why but this made it inconvenient for meeting with colleagues. We have stayed at Park Lane several times and although a little outdated it’s a great place to stay and I will definitely stay here again.
- 4/5
The view is amazing which makes up for everything else . Decor was a little dated and there was no real desk to work at, 2 huge table lamps we had to move just to be able to use an area next to the TV to work and the bedside table. View is worth it though , we hit floor 35
- 1/5
Upon entering my room the thermostat was set to 65 however the room was 75 degrees. There was also a floor fan in use. Asked to change rooms. Given a new room. It was 76 degrees and no fan. Was told the AC in the rooms wasn’t working. They had no other inventory so I cancelled and moved to the Plaza. Expedia says I cannot get a refund. Real screw-job right there.

Very nice breakfast, good locations, just besides central park. Room is small and can't see central park at all on the lower floor.
- 3.5/5
Location and view over Central Park was excellent. Comfortable bed, good size room. No tea/coffee making facility in the room. Room decoration very sparse. Expensive coffee shop which anyway had limited opening hours. Charged for a breakfast that we didn't take. Was assured that no charge was being made. But it appeared on my credit card bill. To be fair was swiftly rectified when I emailed the Hotel on my return home.

Great location, great check in but hotel needs renovations. We got the panoramic room which has great view but our air condition did not work very well. The night door man was rude and 50% of staff was helpful. For the price I would not recommend
- 4/5
For an old hotel, it has been significantly improved. I had a few issues. The hallways were dark and the carpeting somewhat worn. More significantly, our room was very small and the bathroom, even smaller. For $700 per night this was inappropriate. Restaurant breakfast was dramatically overpriced. Otherwise a pleasant stay in a superb location

My wife and I stayed at Park Lane for one week, and we had a wonderful experience. The room was spacious, comfortable, and very well maintained. The bed was exceptionally comfortable, which made it easy to rest after long days exploring New York. One of the highlights of our stay was the hotel’s location. Being able to simply cross the street and go for a run in Central Park in the morning meant a lot to me and became one of the most memorable parts of our trip. I would also like to thank the entire hotel team for their kindness and professionalism throughout our stay. A special thank you goes to Paul Beatty, who went above and beyond to help me with a package that arrived after I had already returned home. His assistance, responsiveness, and willingness to help were truly appreciated. Overall, we had an excellent stay and would happily return to Park Lane on a future visit to New York. Nothing to say about it. We really enjoyed our stay.

It was a costly hotel and not worth it. Although the staff was great, the room was tattered and needed paint. No coffee maker in the room. If you wanted coffee or breakfast you had to order expensive room service or go to a snack bar downstairs. The other option was a 75.00 brunch on the rooftop!
- 3/5
The room was dark, paint chipped on walls. Grout in bathroom dirty.
- 5/5
I do wish it had a working Mini Bar, but that's not a huge deal. Thanks for a great stay, Park Lane!
- 3.5/5
Location The hotel is 20 years older than the photos. Nothing is new which makes a very expensive experience
- 5/5
View of Central Park, worth paying more for as usually you get a view of some pipes and an air con unit in NYC. Rooftop breakfasts were an absolute highlight of our whole trip. The fresh food, music, views of the park - really special. We had to call reception at 3.30am on our last night because we were in an adjoining room and some very drunk and aggressive guests were trying to break into our room. Frankly, it was terrifying with our two kids asleep. We called reception to report it, security was allegedly sent, but this behaviour carried on until about 5am. It felt like a dangerous situation, we didn’t feel at all safe. Sadly for this reason we would be reluctant to book again, even though the rest of the experience was excellent.

Location The room was dirty and in need of remodeling. The carpet and sofas were heavily stained and appeared unclean. Basic amenities such as slippers and complimentary water were not provided upon arrival. The paint on the doors was old and peeling. Guest Services often forgot requests, and I had to call multiple times to follow up. Additionally, the rooftop bar was still closed during my stay and has been closed since Christmas at least.

Despite my VIP Access Premium status, the front desk did not offer a room upgrade upon check in. After asking about it, I was put on hold until a sales manager was available, who then approved the upgrade. Unfortunately, the room I received did not include hotel Wi-Fi, and the hotel was unable to fix this issue despite my repeated attempts to request assistance. I moved hotels because of this issue, but I commend the hotel for refunding me the portion of my non-refundable booking that I didn't use.

The view. That’s it. Otherwise it’s a waste. The staff was rude or indifferent, the facilities are outdated, the app doesn’t work but the hotel pushes travelers to use it, there’s not coffee makers in the rooms, and the onsite facilities are weak. This place purely benefits from proximity to the Park and other great hotels - otherwise it’s a Ramada.

I also did not like the location, and the reception staff were not professional or friendly. The elevator is old and poorly maintained as well. I do not recommend staying here at all, especially considering the high price compared to the poor level of cleanliness and service.

Only thing I didn’t like about the hotel was at three of the six elevators were down and also they didn’t come and get my room service when I finished it I had to like take it out of the room myself, but that’s not that big of a deal other than that, it was perfect day. Got me way better room than they originally were at the front desk. They were just like let me see if we can get some better and got me all the way to the 44th floor. I loved it. The view was amazing. Bathroom was a little small but that’s OK. Bed was so ridiculously comfy. We were there at the same time as an Indian wedding, and even with that going on, still seemed like everything was taken care of in appropriate time manner. Breakfast upstairs had probably the best view in the entire city of Central Park. Literally breathtaking stunning views only problem is that it’s not open at night. It’s only open till 1130 and it is $75 per person for eggs and sausage that were OK but not $75 worth but I think you’re paying for the view which the view is worth that money
- 3/5
Good location for Central Park, 5th Ave. shopping, and even theater district. Would like faster/more elevators as wait times could exceed 5 minutes. Can be noisy even on 27th floor both from door closings and street noise.

The location was the best thing about this property. No way was this a 5* property. Aside from being badly dated and looking like something from the 80s, the rooms tired and only one or two elevators out of six working at any one time, the rooms were basic- even for a suite, which I had. Not even a shower cap, no coffee machines or a kettle, just really basic for a hotel purporting to be of that level. The customer service level was mixed; telephone staff for Guest Services were helpful and polite, whereas front desk staff seemed very tired and overworked, leading to various check in errors and little things that could have been avoided and led to a much better experience - again, something you wouldn’t find in a real 5* hotel.

Very surprised that the price was so high for the room. I had stayed here previously before "the renovations" and the room rate was much more reasonable. The one plus I have always found here was that the room was large especially if you need two queen size beds. I did tell the front desk that I had asked for a toothbrush for my daughter which never came. For almost $1,000 per night, I would stay elsewhere.

The location nothing else The air conditioning was not functioning properly and was excessively noisy. The room doors are very heavy and tend to slam shut. Here for a wedding in Central Park. Great location for that. The couple getting married requested we stay here. I love boutique hotels but this one was lacking many of the amenities you’d expect for a boutique hotel. Too many to list. There are other hotels near the location that I wish we had considered instead.
- 2/5
Unfortunately, my experience with the reception team was very disappointing. The issue we encountered appeared to have been caused by their own mistake, yet it was not handled or resolved in a manner expected from a hotel of this standard. I had hoped for a more professional and proactive approach, especially given the level and reputation of the hotel. Instead, the response felt dismissive and unhelpful, which significantly affected my overall stay. At this level, guests expect problems to be acknowledged and resolved efficiently, with a focus on customer care. Sadly, this was not my experience.
- 4/5
Location is the best. Amazing being across the street from central park to go running or just touristing. The hotel is ok. Because it is the cheapest options in the area it is overcrowded and the staff seemed overwhelmed and a bit tired. Not rude but not the friendliest either. Hallways are run down, mattress is about 10 inches smallest than the bed frame and the airco had an anoying sound. Hitting it on top a couple of times it stopped. Overall good for location but do not expect wonders. It does its job.

* Towels were torn and looked like they had been in use for many years. * Room carpets were dirty and had an unpleasant smell. * Upon arrival, there was no one available to assist with luggage. * Not sure what the daily 20% discount is for when they have no service!! * Initially, we were told they had run out of disposable slippers. Only after repeated complaints were slippers finally provided. Overall, the condition of the rooms and lack of service were unacceptable. I would highly recommend staying somewhere else.

The location of this hotel could not be better if you want to be close to Central Park. The only breakfast option is a $75 buffet (no thanks). There was no cocktail bar for a nightcap, the rooms were a bit tired and the air conditioning could not get the room below a humid 72, so our sleep was terrible.

Hotel receptionists allocated me a room that was already occupied by someone else. Embarrassing and wasting time to solve the problem. Two successive receptionists blamed the occupant rather than taking responsibility for knowing the status of their rooms. The bath had some sort of silver discs floating out of the plug hole. Didn’t feel like an experience worth the price, or a standard of service becoming of the price.

The staff was so rude and 0 welcoming. They almost look at you like you are some creature from another world. Long faces and they just look straight up annoyed by the idea of having to interact with you. The hotel does not look like the pictures, is not too bad but rooms def look a lot cheaper in real life. The common areas are so nice but the rooms are a different story. But the staff was the main thing that will never have me stay there again, very rude and made me feel very uncomfortable.

I called ahead as an Expedia Gold VIP Access member to mention our honeymoon. Staff noted it and promised something special. At check-in, nothing. No acknowledgment, no warmth, nothing. Only 2 of 7 elevators worked the entire trip. Long waits every time to reach the 38th floor. Every basic amenity felt gated behind the room service hotline to create tipping situations. The room had an empty ice bucket but no ice machine on any floor. Call room service, wait 20 minutes, someone delivers ice and waits for a tip. Same thing when we needed plastic silverware. The lobby bar sent me to the front desk, who sent me to the rooftop restaurant, which was closed. Called room service again, and again someone arrived expecting a tip for handing me a fork. My complimentary Gold status coffee was another issue. Asked for an iced latte, got a Dixie cup of hot espresso. When I clarified, the worker was rude and dismissive. I never went back. Doorman never once opened the door for us in seven days. Stunning location, but the service doesn’t come close to justifying the price. Would not return.

I called ahead as an Expedia Gold VIP Access member to mention our honeymoon. Staff noted it and promised something special. At check-in, nothing. No acknowledgment, no warmth, nothing. Also, elevators were extremely slow each morning. 10-15 minute wait to get one that wasn’t already full to capacity.

Staff was not very friendly. Except the luggage guys, they were cool. The quality of the hotel is that of a motel. Carpets smell old, walls look old, decoration of the rooms was like if a 3 year old decorated it. They only get away with their rating and prices because of the location. I felt like I was cat fished to be honest. Would never stay there again

Location was awesome. Carpet in the room was dated. Everything else acceptable for the pricepoint. Breakfast buffet was overpriced $75 for our stay between xmas and new years, but there were other options. Elevators were not all functioning and for such a large hotel you need all elevators. A couple of times we waited over 15 mins to get down from the 12th flooor (out of 46 Floors)

Our wait staff at Calvert's is a magical woman who exudes grace and care. She made my daughter's birthday extra special and ensured that every visit to the resturant was perfect. From Migdalia, Sam and Bady in dining to Paulo and Victor in maintenance to Tony and the entire inform dinning team - everyone was lovely. Kenneth started off our trip with care for our belonging and quickly become a friend. While Zara went over and beyond to ensure she could secure our Christmas Day reservations!

The receptionist was lovely and the room was spacious and with a beautiful view of Central Park; however the room was very dusty and very outdated. We tried to eat breakfast at the Darling, the place was packed and the waiter was in such a terrible mood dropping the plates so loudly, we went to calpvert and although it was quiet the service was so slow. It took ages to be seated and to order. The worst part was the elevators, there were 6 of them but seemed only two were working.

Pros: The only real positive is the location—conveniently situated directly across from Central Park. Cons: Unfortunately, everything else was disappointing. The hotel feels dated and is clearly in need of renovation. Service was poor and, at times, outright rude. During check-in, I asked about dining options and was abruptly told to speak with the concierge, who was nowhere to be found. After waiting more than 10 minutes, I gave up and left. The room offered virtually no storage. This was a double queen room with no dresser and a very small closet that had only four hangers (see photos). Water service was also inconvenient. Guests are given two bottles and expected to refill them, yet there are only three refill stations in a 46-floor hotel. One of those stations was on the rooftop and closed during my stay. I would not recommend staying here and wish I had known this before booking. For the price, there are far better options available elsewhere.

The room was extremely loud at night. Traffic and emergency vehicles, people and the room heat woke us up on and off all three nights. 5th floor is too low. Views were nice but we didn’t realize how awful the noise would be. Room heater sounded like a train coming through the room whenever it clicked on.

Rooms were clean, but for the price point I would’ve expected better lighting (so dark even when three lights were on), in room coffee machines, toiletries like q-tips, cotton balls, etc. Bathrooms did not have fans so mirrors fogged up immediately. In lobby coffee shop hours were very limited, but there were several local coffee shops nearby. Staff was very friendly, especially bell staff and concierge. Overall a good stay.

My go to hotel in New York, primarily due to the view of Central Park. The rooms are spacious that I have stayed in and the bed is comfy, plus the climate control worked well. The staff were also nice people. Concierge was very nice and booked a table for my friend and I on Thanksgiving at a nearby restaurant. I love coming here as I get a great holiday. I like it so much, I keep coming back. Other people go to tropical beaches, I go to New York!
- 4/5
Hotel and its views were gorgeous. Only a tiny complaint I had was that the bathroom doesn’t have a full door and water starts accumulating on the floor.
- 2/5
Location was great, just across Central Park. However rooms are very small, old, and bathroom was tiny. Not worth the price for the condition of the hotel.

OUTSTANDING service beautiful hotel INSANE views and a true NYC experience!

The heater was broken in the room - it would turn on and off with a large groan about every 20 minutes. Except for the sheets, the rest of the room was disgusting and it was too late by the time I got there for them to have me change rooms. They assured me that they would the next day give me a better room - when I went into that room, the faucet and the shower could not be turned on - the faucet was broken. The rooms are disgusting dirty, and wallpaper is peeling off. There is clear signs of water damage and paint peeling around the sink. It’s really disgusting. It was advertised as a four-star hotel, but if I could give zero stars and still leave a review, it would be a negative number.

Clean room. Helpful staff, especially the concierge. Some venues were closed. We booked a city view room and asked for a quiet location. Unfortunately, we were placed immediately adjacent to the elevator (which we heard constantly) and only on the 27th out of 46 floors which gave us a view only into the buildings directly across from our room. Not worth the cost! By the time we realized the noise we were hearing was coming from the elevator, we were halfway through our stay and it would have been inconvenient to request another room.

Was quite dated and description and pics didn't match the actual. Very high price for what was provided, no coffee in the room, had to pay additional For that. Ridiculous! 35 dollars to get a coffee machine in the room. Communicstion was poor to via email. Received a ‘cant wait to see you’ But when i responded with a few requests like an early check in because travelling with you g kids the whole day, received no reply.

- 4/5
Breakfast space was nice and wait staff was very friendly. Food was just average.
- 3/5
Location was great! Loved that it was right across from Central Park with plenty of great places to walk to! The hotel itself was pretty average for the price you're paying. Honestly, I've had better experiences at cheaper hotels. There is only a very tiny fridge. I have to bring my food with me so was a little disappointed I had to throw some food away. Staff knocked on our door and gave us a warning about smoking but we don't smoke/vape? Said it could have been set off by a hairdryer so that was odd.. Rooms itself were clean. The doors are very heavy and slam pretty loud so we were awoken by others a few times because of this.
- 5/5
Excellent!
- 1/5
Filthy rooms, old carpet, no mini bar, no desk, bed casing filthy fabric, closet doors don't close, noisy A/C, no menu in the room, feels like a cheap old place, very expensive for its condition. I will never return. It made me sick.
- 5/5
Well-located, thoughtful staff.
- 4/5
Room was slightly dated but clean and bathroom light did not work properly. Otherwise great hotel.
- 5/5
The staff were so kind and helpful, they did their very best to accommodate my early check in after a red eye flight, I was totally exhausted and they were at maximum occupancy. Amazing service, 24 hour room service, excellent food. I’m already planning my next trip back.
- 1/5
Specials for our stay was a broken air conditioner replaced by a Walmart tower fan, perched precariously on a short table and powered by a dangerously stretched cable: we nicknamed it Wally (Wally, if you read this, we miss your buzz!). Plus, for the woman of the house we had an ironing board with an iron already plugged in ready for us. My feminist wife felt it like a sarcastic touch from the staff. For the boldest travelers, the room also offers an array of mysterious stains and bodily-fluid patterns decorating the carpet and bedside furniture — true ornaments of the place. All of this for the modest price of over $1,000 per night, justified solely by a view of Central Park. That’s what we actually paid for: the view, not the stay in this tourist trap. Everything described is documented in photos. We arrived late at night and checked out the very next morning.
- 5/5
Great all around!!
- 1/5
There were a number of issues that made it not a luxury/5-star experience. No coffee/tea in the room, poor quality bath robes, no bathroom amenities, no ability to request those amenities (like qtips or dental kits etc) no valet connected to the hotel (had to go outside the hotel and pay separately) and room service menu was limited and the restaurants are closed. Overall very inconvenient and not a luxurious experience at all. It should be listed as 4-star.
- 3/5
Room was clean and had basic safe, TV, steam iron, very small refrigerator, and one luggage rack. Should know rooms do not include a desk or flat surface for laptop use. Important to know if on business

. it's pay back time! I don't know where to begin. The room they gave me was used and has not been cleaned. There was no one to check us in when we arrived. It's impossible to pull up to the hotel by car due to street repairs and they failed to notify us. But the location is great 😂

The hotel felt very old and badly maintained, the rooms were very dark. Carpets were dirty. Nothing included for bathroom toiletries. Felt very basic and mediocre. Will never stay there again.

I had to change the date of my stay. I tried to do this within 12 hours of booking the hotel and could not. I'm very disappointed. LOUSY service
- 2/5
We chose this property because Expedia featured it as a "special sale" offer... it was a B A D sale offer. As the hotel mentioned, the rooftop was not open except for $75 per person breakfast. And there were no other areas of the hotel that offered a view of Central Park across the street, except from your room (if you paid extra for a park-view.) There was a ton of staff, but many were uninformed. Two elevators broke down... and one of the six elevators had an attendant and had drapes surrounding the inside... because there were difficulties. The one super-bright spot was the 2nd floor bar-restaurant Calvert's that offered 4* foods and amazing desserts and drinks.

My room was about 78 degrees when I walked in and I turned on AC at full blast and it never got below 73 degrees after 2 days. AC was struggling. And housekeeping never showed up after my first night there, even when I asked the front desk to send them there when I was out of the room for a few hours. The price for the location is good but you get what you pay for.

The staff is always ready to accommodate any need. The rooms suffer from poor wifi and our bathroom kept lising water pressure throughout this stay which is not typical of previous stays. The price of a park view room is worth it.
- 5/5
Wonderful view. Quiet room
- 5/5
All ok
- 2/5
It was the most expensive, least comfortable stay I’ve had in many years. The greatest affront was being ask to be $25 for coffee pods in the room which are free at most hotels.
- 5/5
Great location
- 3/5
Beautiful property with a beautiful view from the rooftop bar. Unfortunately though, our bathroom was left unclean with a large skid mark in the toilet upon check in. This set our stay off on the wrong foot. While they tried to right the wrong, it unfortunately soured our stay. It is quite an expensive hotel and we really were expecting something else.
- 4/5
Jesus and MK saved the trip, they were so friendly and accommodating. Initial check-in experience was off putting with an extremely rude front desk lady, she was unfriendly during the entire stay. Room sizes are good and the property overall is beautiful in a perfect location
- 5/5
We loved our stay here and the hotel staff were wonderful. The hotel is in a great area, steps from Central Park, the rooms were quite spacious for New York and it really had a lot of charm. Again, staff were amazing!
- 3/5
HOTEL HAS SEEN BETTER DAYS. ROOM HAD CRACKS IN WALLS AND DEFINITELY NEEDS AN OVERHAUL. BELLMAN WERE GREAT BUT FRONT DESK WAS UNFRIENDLY.
- 5/5
We really enjoyed our stay here.
- 1/5
When we got to the hotel the staff gave us a room that was used already and not cleaned, we went downstairs to let them know and the front desk was not apologetic at all and very rude to us. We did not have a great experience at all no one helped us with our bags or treated us with a VIP experience and considering this is an upscale hotel they should have been. Would not go back there.
- 1/5
I booked four rooms at the Park Lane Hotel for 3 nights. Our family and friends were in NYC for the 24th Anniversary of 9/11. We all had three horrible nights of sleep. No AC. The rooms were hot (72 to 76 Fahrenheit) and smelled humid. We all complained numerous times upon arrival and until the end. The manager, Youssef Daoudi, promised to have it repaired. Absolutely NOTHING WAS DONE. No repair, not even water bottles, and no complimentary breakfast. Nothing for our HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE. NEVER AGAIN.
- 5/5
Perfect location, great restaurant, very friendly and helpful staff. My first room had a climate control issue, but they quickly moved me to another room, no drama and no pushback. Great value overall.
- 5/5
Paul in Security saved the day when I left clothes in the drawers and needed them FedEx-ed to me quickly before another flight. Everyone was so nice at our stay down to the people serving coffee. This was also excellent customer service! Would love to stay here again
- 4/5
Rooftop restaurant was closed the entire trip with no explanation.
- 3/5
An okey hotel
- 5/5
Overall, a beautiful hotel and stay. A little upset the rooftop restaurant/bar was only open for breakfast though. Staff were super friendly and helpful from beginning to end and location next to Central Park and walking distance to the big City attractions are a big plus!!
- 4/5
The only issue that i had was with the air condition, little old the facilities, but good conditions, the area is great if you like central park, 5th ave shopping, good restaurants around it.
- 2/5
Needs urgent renovation! Stained carpets, very old & noisy AC, dampness in bathroom, ZERO amenities, poorly decorated and understaffed. Won’t stay again.
- 5/5
The VIEW of Central Park is worth the price! The cons I had was that the amenities are dismal, they charge $10.00 for coffee in the morning, the morning buffet is $75.00 per person (is nothing fancy limited/not worth the money but has an amazing view),and there is an additional $60.00 a day "location fee" hotel charge, which all adds up quickly.

Hotel was in a great location. The only negative was the elevator. We walked 8 floors several timea because the elevator never came.

very comfortable

Overall, a great stay! Room was nice - MOST of the staff was excellent and welcoming. Oddly, the one place the staff was NOT welcoming or particularly helpful, was the front desk, where they should be the MOST welcoming and helpful. Never smiled. Never told us about the restaurant upstairs or the where the gym or anything else was - just, "Here's your key." And GETTING the key - they were supposed to text when the room was ready - never did. I just decided to walk up there and check, and they handed me the key.

Excellent hotel

We had trouble checking in. The employee could not get her computer to work. I had to request her to use a different computer.. no free coffee for breakfast… bathroom extremely small.
- 3/5
Rooms are very clean but the air conditioning is hit or miss (I had to change rooms after the first night because the room temp never changes despite the maintence staff attempting to service the unit). Rooms are art-deco but feel and look out-dated.

Location is great. Have stayed here probably 20 times but won't likely again. The elevators were not working. They supposedly have 6 but at times only 1 was in operation. After waiting for 20 minutes one morning, we had to climb down 13 flights of stairs which then put us in the basement and then had to go back up to the lobby by a different set of stairs. I complained a couple of times as it was a problem the whole weekend and no one did anything about it. This was Labor Day weekend and the hotel was full. They should not be taking elevators out of service on such a busy weekend. They also sent several emails advertising their roof bar Darling which my husband and I loved when we were there a few months ago. However, when we arrived, we found out it had been shut down for "issues" for quite some time according to staff. Why are the emails still advertising something that isn't there. I would not have been annoyed by that as much if everything else went smoothly.

Girls trip with my nieces- so much fun! Nice room & good location.

Très bel hôtel avec restaurant sur le toit avec vue magnifique! Personnel très gentil. Très bien situé près Central Park et Times Square. Chambre confortable!
- 4/5
Excellent location for restaurants, shopping, theatre, and Central Park walks. Super comfortable bed and linens - fabulous nights' sleep in very quiet rooms. We'd booked the hotel specifically to enjoy the rooftop lounge, which we discovered was closed only when we tried to access it the first night of our stay; no explanation was given, and the rooftop remained closed, despite being promoted in the (very slow) elevators. The other hotel lounge options are rather antiseptic and unappealing.
- 5/5
Staff pleasant. Especially cleaning staff and breakfast staff on floor 46.
- 5/5
Clean, convenient location
- 1/5
The shower was clogged, and we had to stand in a few inches of water while showering. The AC unit was not working, and when it finally started working again, it was extremely loud. When I informed the concierge at checkout, she gave me an attitude. I wasn't even trying to get anything for free.… completely unnecessary.
- 3/5
Honestly my stay was ok. We had just got married and chose park lane as the hotel to stay in and just didn’t feel special. Garbage bins were also missing bags and I feel like the hotel could’ve done something to make our stay feel more special

Exellent location, and great facility for the price we paid. Definitely go back.

Nice Hotel, Spacious Room, Nice view, Great location. NY prices for amenities.

Will stay here again
- 5/5
It was a lovely stay.
- 3/5
Got stuck in the elevator and power went out in our room in the morning our of departure.
- 3/5
We where there for 8 nights. Couldn't unpack our suitcases. 6 very small drawers 3 in the closet and 3 in a dresser. Small refrigerator held 4 water bottles. 6 hangers in closet. Just a horrible stay never again.

Loved this hotel so much. Beds were super comfy & 24 room service is killer
- 5/5
Everything about the hotel was great!
- 5/5
Excellent location great service lovely property
- 5/5
Great property! Staff was very friendly. Great location.
- 1/5
I left and got another hotel was like being in Miami club. Rooms are definitely worn and used. AC air smelled bad like city sidewalk
- 5/5
Always excellent service. The staff responded to requests quickly and courteously. Be aware that rooms below floor 12 which are listed as "park view" will only give you views of the trees on 59th street. Maintenence can be spotty, as the seals on the windows in my room were loose and the latches to close them were not able to operate properly. Proximity to MTA and the park is unequaled in the city and well worth staying here.
- 3/5
The elevators took an abnormal amount of time to arrive. I waitwd at one for over 9 minutes before giving up
- 5/5
Great services and staff!
- 4/5
The bed frame was uncomfortable, the air conditioner was loud, and there was no central lighting in the bedroom area. Other than that, it was a pleasant stay.
- 3/5
Shower didn’t have conditioner, TV wasn’t plugged in, room was never cooler than 77degrees
- 5/5
We really liked this hotel! And it’s dog friendly! Beautiful, clean, airy rooms. The room overall was a 10/10. The food and cocktails from the hotel room service were so good. Conveniently located across the street from Central Park. Would highly recommend!
- 1/5
The hotel is more like a train station!
- 2/5
Visit begins with me unable to get through there front doors with my luggage (no automatic opener nor attentive doorman, plus narrow opening). Visit ends with a 15 minute wait for an elevator with enough room for me and two suitcases going down to the lobby. In between there were no slippers in the room and no snacks or drinks in the fridge.
- 1/5
Everything was terrible. The shower flooded the floor. The sink didn’t drain. I called multiple times and the manager never even called back. I didn’t any help until the last day. We didn’t have towels bcuz we had to use them to cover the flooded floor. Expensive extra daily resort fee but this isn’t any resort. There is a lobby and rooms. I saw zero amenities. No amenities or compensation was offered. There was a dirty toothbrush in our room from the previous guest. There was a gross dirty spot on the floor than we requested house keeping to clean but it never happened. I think the hotel should be renamed the smoke and mirrors hotel. Everything is fake. They pretend to be fancy but You would have a much better experience at a holiday inn.
- 3/5
Our stay had some positives, but several issues made it less enjoyable than expected. The highlight was definitely the incredible view of Central Park from our room — truly stunning and a memorable part of our trip. Unfortunately, the air conditioning in our room wasn’t working properly, and we ran into other guests experiencing the same problem. We had to ask for a fan, but even then, sleeping was uncomfortable due to the heat. While all six elevators were working, wait times were still surprisingly long. In the evenings, the lobby would get quite crowded with people heading to the rooftop, which made coming and going a bit chaotic for hotel guests. Overall, a decent stay in a great location, but some important comfort and service aspects really need improvement.
- 3/5
Location is great. Property is dated and AC was not working well in the room. Also, room was not cleaned very well-when I moved the tray with the glasses on it the counter was sticky. Hot water in the shower was not hot either annd it was set all the way to hottest. During the check in process the FDA was unnecessarily confrontational, I’m not sure why, just not a pleasant experience.
- 5/5
everything is good except elevator has some issues so have to wait longer
- 5/5
Excellent hotel, great manager and very Accommodating!
- 5/5
Super friendly staff and great location to stay right next to Central Park with lots of restaurants, shopping, biking available.
- 4/5
The hotel and staff were great. The only issue is, there isn’t enough light in the room and the elevators took forever.
- 5/5
.
- 4/5
I would give it another try after the ACs are fixed
- 2/5
Problem is that AC in room sounds like a lawnmower. Ever tried to sleep with a lawnmower going outside your window? How about putting it in your room?
- 5/5
Lovely place, and staff, worth every penny!
- 5/5
The location of this property is on point! Overlooking the park the views are amazing!
- 2/5
Bath room and Closet is so small. So disappointed
- 5/5
Amazing location and beautiful Room
- 5/5
This was a wonderful hotel in a fantastic location. There is no better value than this place for the location. I would Definitely love to go there again.
- 4/5
Great location. Amenities reasonable but disappointed that for a 4 star hotel there are no tea and coffee facilities in the room. The coffee in the main lobby as a grab and go, incredibly expensive, so best to use the Sip&Go a few meters down, brilliant!
- 2/5
Poor room experience on the 42nd Floor. Cleanliness of the room was poor: bathroom smelt like urine, bizarre wet spot on the carpet in the middle of the room, rug poorly vacuumed. Broken amenities: black-out blinds were off the track and made a terrible noise when opening/closing. AC unit was extremely loud - rattling heard constantly. The room was the furthest thing from quiet - when other hotel room doors closed, this unit rattled. There are far better hotels in the area available at this price point.
- 1/5
The carpet war horrible. Very dirty
- 3/5
First room that we checked into the carpet was sticky and AC in the rooms wasn’t keeping up. They moved us rooms and the AC was worse than the first room. Our room never went below 77 degrees which made it miserable to shower and sleep. All they could do was provide us with a fan. We tried to get a refund to move hotels but they wouldn’t nor did we get any kind of money back for the issues. Won’t be back and won’t recommend.
- 3/5
AC barely worked leaving room stuffy and humid. At leaked water as well. Shower had black mold. Had to ask for ice constantly. No coffee offered. Just ok other than park view
- 2/5
As soon as we stepped into the room, we felt it was too hot. The temperature setting was 66, and the room temperature was 78. The facility staff brought a fan and also checked the air conditioner, but the situation did not get better. We kept the temperature at 66 for 3 days, and the room finally reached 75. We attempted to contact the manager at least five times, but they never called us back. Additionally, we observed one used contact lens on the side table and another on the carpet. I wonder if they vacuumed the floor or wiped the tables.. The sheets were nice though...
- 5/5
Great hotel with the coolest vibe. The rooftop has a beautiful view of the city. The rooms are small but that’s just preference.
- 2/5
Min for a elevator each time. The ac does not work.
- 1/5
Air conditioning was not working and I want a refund ASAP. Will never stay there again and do not recommend it.
- 4/5
Elevator accessibility could be easier for guests.
- 1/5
Amazing property location no air-conditioning room was over 80° all night long. The property had no air conditioning throughout.
- 1/5
There is no AC. And they continued to lie to me saying they would bring a portable AC unit. I would not recommend this hotel, had to switch hotels
- 5/5
Hospitable! Love this hotel!
- 3/5
Rooms are very old and very not clean. We found someone’s hair and personal stuff from previous people that stayed there. Every time you need an elevator - be ready to wait for 10 minutes minimum.
- 2/5
Not as expected based on image
- 1/5
Really pathetic room. Left after one night and did not get any money back either from them or Expedia. Never booking through Expedia again
- 4/5
Great property, with a boutique feel. Hallways were a bit drab, dark.
- 5/5
Came to spend a few days in the city with our kids and meet some family- lovely hotel, friendly welcoming staff. The room was much larger than I expected, very clean and amazing view of Central Park. We will definitely stay here again.
- 4/5
All was good except decided not to clean our room one day, after we had requested.
- 5/5
Good stay
