Reviews
The Paramount Hotel has a prime location in Times Square, with comfortable beds and friendly staff. However, the hotel is in need of renovation, with frequent complaints about dirty rooms, broken amenities, and poor service. The hotel's pictures online do not accurately represent the current state of the property.

This hotel is in a great location. However, rooms are out dated and bare bones. The shower had the lowest water press n the sink needed to be updated n fixed I was there two nights n just made due. Water n ice dispenser were always busy n nit enough was being made. They charge you for everything as to be expected but $3 per bag to keep them for an hour is crazy.

Fun and comfortable with a terrific location. Rooms sizeable with good bathrooms.
- 2/5
The staff not help at all
- 5/5
Centrally located, great location, cool atmosphere.
- 2/5
Room conditions were rough, may not have been properly cleaned. TV in room did not work. Dismissive staff at front desk. Just trying to get through their shift but customer service lacking. However, considering the price point and venue it was expected.
- 3/5
Very helpful staff The property is older and needs some love But over all perfect for a weekend get away. Be mindful of the noise levels. This property is in a very busy location and a bit noisy at night
- 4/5
Está en una localidad, perfecta si vas a disfrutar de varios espectáculos y comida Si quieres habitaciones regulares estas so más pequeñas.
- 3/5
Location is great, room is decent.
- 4/5
The hotel was nice. It had a great location near Times Square and Broadway. There were many food options. The air conditioner could have been better. They ran out of hot water for showers a couple of days.
- 5/5
The must in this found is the location 10/10 Safe place, staff helpful, but my shoutout goes to ball mans, very friendly and cheerful Would come back to hangout at the bar, but definitely not staying again With you are just using the room to shower and sleep, I recommend
- 4/5
Perfect location for Theatre District and Times Square. Clean and quiet.
- 4/5
La gente muy amable y hablaban mi idioma
- 4/5
The hotel room is small, but is kind of expected. I personally don’t like the bathroom especially the sink. Location is perfect and really convenient
- 2/5
The beds only had flat sheets. No fitted sheet. No duvet cover. Just two flat sheets below and on top of the duvet insert. Only water was on the 4th floor. Was told check out was at 11am yet staff came into our room unannounced at 9am and asked when we were leaving. The chrome cast tv in our room was also broken. No mini fridge or microwave in the room which would have been fine if I wasn’t charged so much. Unsure what this facility fee was for when the facility is deteriorating, even if they try to cover it by renovating the lobby. Would not stay again.
- 5/5
The staff was very helpful and courteous . The location was perfect for my visit too. I missed not having a coffee maker but the steamer was very helpful.
- 4/5
Good when all you need is a bed
- 5/5
For this trip, enjoyed a beverage from the bar and relaxed in the lobby while listening to a singer/songwriter who covered many pop songs.
- 3/5
Room service came in at 10am unannounced and without knocking. Had to spend 2 hours looking for parking as the hotel had none. Otherwise the stay was nice.
- 3/5
The room was sparse. Not even plastic or paper cups. I wasn’t aware it was formerly a hostel. That said, the location was great, the bar was great and we didn’t spend much time in the room so it worked out
- 5/5
We were very happy with our stay at the Paramount Times Square. The location is excellent, and we worried about the noise being so close to Times Square but it was quiet. It’s right across the street from the Rogers Theater so very convenient for Theater, and a few blocks from Metro stations. Super friendly and helpful staff. Small rooms and slow elevators were the only drawbacks, but those were minor concerns. Really great deal for the price.
- 5/5
It was just what l was looking for, to have fun couple of days in the theater district.
- 5/5
Great
- 5/5
Room was clean. Location is excellent. Staff if very nice.
- 4/5
Great location!!! Paid for room in march for June, but they didnt have the configuration available. Gave us an upgrade, but the ac was broken. Moved rooms next day and they remove addition fees outstanding.
- 4/5
Location could not be beat! Short, easy walk to Times Square and several theaters. Lobby has a really cool vibe and there was always something going on in the evenings. We really didn't participate because we were always on the go, but it looked fun. We arrived too early to check in, but they did hold our luggage for a fee. Lobby was quite warm at times. Our room was decent sized for NYC. The bathroom reminded me of a cruise ship bathroom. Very small and no place to put your things. Hot water took a while in the shower, but it did get hot. The sink water never got hot. Air conditioning was not great either. Remote thermostat said 61 no matter what buttons we pushed. It felt more like 75-77 in the room. It was cool but not cold. Only a minor inconvenience for us. Daily hotel service was nice. They also held our luggage after check-out (for a fee) since our flight was later in the day. Key card must be used to operate elevator and lobby bathrooms. Nice little security feature. I would stay here again.
- 1/5
To start out, the bathroom door doesn’t even shut all the way and if you do close the door all the way good luck getting out without the fire department. The shower is piping hot, I actually got burned from the shower and you can not lower the temperature on the shower. The sink is the opposite, you can’t get warm water, only cold. They do not provide washcloths, and when you ask for them it’s an act of congress to get them. We ran out of toilet paper on one of our first days and it took us asking for toilet paper 3 times and an hour before we got it, we even went downstairs and were told it would be sent up. There is no clothes iron despite there obviously being a place where it’s supposed to go. The room and the bathroom was dark and had horrible lighting. The charger outlets do not hold chargers well and our chargers fell out constantly. The only bright side to this hotel was the food, it was good.
- 4/5
Great location, friendly staff, and cool bar. The room was so small, and even though I already knew (I had stayed before at the Paramount), it still surprised me. It worked great for what I needed, a place to sleep near Sony Hall.
- 5/5
It's not my first time there and we like staying there because it's in the middle of Broadway and it's near Times Square and the staff and the conversations are really good there and now they even added the an option for breakfast from the restaurant near them generally I recommend the hotel
- 5/5
Property was very nice!!! Check-in line was bad, took me 25 minutes in line to be checked in. I arrived at the hotel at 4:15pm… maybe people were there waiting to be checked.
- 1/5
Location is perfect for downtown that’s it. My room didn’t have air and they didn’t want to accommodate me. I had to sleep first night with no air. They also charge a resort fee with nothing special to go with the room.
- 2/5
1) the key reader in the elevators doesn't always work. This means you get in, and you can't get your floor put in, you end up on a random floor. Then you ride all the way to the ground floor to try again. This happened to me three times in a one night stay. 2) they have a "facilities" charge of $48+ per day. This is similar to what Vegas resorts charge for their resort fee. It's not disclosed when you make your booking (or if it is, it's so hidden that it's very easily overlooked). They just charge you at check-in. Surprise! 3) They actually charge you to store your bags. If you are checking in, it's $2/bag. If you're checking out, it's $3/Bag. I've never ever been charged a fee to store my bags at a hotel. Never. This one is a first for me. 4) you want cups in your bathroom? Go to the 4th floor. That's where they keep them. Hope your card reader works, otherwise you end up on the 16th floor. No cups on the 16th floor, either. Just on the 4th. The hotel is well located, within steps of Times Square and directly across the street from the theater where "Hamilton" is playing. If location is your primary objective, and you don't care about anything else at all, then this would be a fine hotel.
- 2/5
Not a great hotel
- 4/5
The rooms are very basic and small but perfect for a cheaper option in the expensive city. We were basically just in the rooms to sleep so it worked out well. The only complaint was the door didn’t lock well and the shower didn’t drain. The staff was all very friendly and helpful, they offer $3 per bag luggage storage after checkout if you want to explore the city more which came in handy! I would stay again if I was ever back in NYC.
- 5/5
Great location!! Well maintained with comfy beds. Friendly staff. Nightly entertainment. Would definitely stay again.
- 5/5
La localización es perfecta, la apariencia del hotel y el trato excelente. Lo recomiendo!!!
- 1/5
I liked the friendlyness of the staff Everything , you walk in and the lobby has the loudest club music and it is overstimulating especially if you arriving late at night like me , i never took this long to check in too , there was a big line and one person doing the work and the room was really bad , not very clean , the ac was loud and the bathroom had broken tiles. Horrible experience, would never recommend this hotel
- 5/5
Lovely and inviting Nothing
- 1/5
Terrible experience, stayed at another hotel. Horrible experience with Expedia and hotel.
- 5/5
Extremely good price for the room and location. Love the lobby bar. There's often live music going on down there, and it's just a really cool atmosphere to be in when you're checking into a hotel. The bar itself is very good. The bartenders are stellar. And it's so close to so many great restaurants.
- 4/5
Great location, clean, comfortable bed and decent shower- twin bed room is really, really small (even by NYC standards!) Would not stay in that room with my wife, but alone it's fine.
- 4/5
Service was great but my only complaint was the room. First off the shower didn’t work till we called maintenance which luckily they were quick to fix. The outlets next to the bed didn’t work. The toilet seat looked like melted it with something hot. Both the tub and the toilet looked cracked. Other than those everything looked fine.
- 4.5/5
Si ubicación y estaba limpio I didn't like that they don't have a good organization because when I arrived I had to wait a long time and I already had my room reserved for many days ag

I stayed 2 nights, May 29th and 30th and checked out Sunday 31st. When me and my husband got to the hotel around 9am, we asked the lady at the desk, she had glasses on and she was very pleasant, she told us that we could check our bags and that she would call us if we could check in earlier, very helpful, her name started with an S, but awesome customer service. The guy at bag check was really nice to. The same lady called me around twelve and said that we could check in earlier, so that was nice. When we got to the hotel soon after the same lady from 9am wasn't at the check in desk. There was another woman there, she spoke Spanish, and she wasn't as pleasant as the lady in the morning. So I walked to the desk and said I got a call to check in earlier, she asked my name, and told me my remaining balance for the room, I paid and she gave me the room keys 🔑, we got our bag from bag check and went on the elevator to go to the room. We are in the elevator, press the floor number and nothing happened, the elevator started moving to whatever floor and a worker gets on the elevator and taps her card on a box thing in the elevator, so I asked her how to get to the floor of our room and she said we have to tap our room key on the box thing and wait for it to turn green 💚 then press the floor we are going to, we did that and it didn't work, she said she front desk person didn't activate the room keys. So we had to go back down stairs to the 1st floor and go back to the front de

The lobby decor was breathtaking The way the people in the reception behaved around customers. while I was in the queue, one customer that was little old was complimenting the hotel and his stay, the staff in the reception kept rolling their eyes and looking at each other like they couldn’t stand the situation. I found very rude, their luck is that the old men didn’t noticed it. But as I was on the side, I could see everything and left me with a bad taste in my mouth
- 5/5
Nice, small, old NY hotel room. Sturdy walls and fast elevator. Lumpy bed. Helpful staff.
- 1/5
30 min for check in at 11 pm mouse trap around the building no view small outdated room and bathroom
- 4/5
The rooms and bathrooms were dated but they worked for the short stay.
- 3/5
*When I requested a different room I was informed the hotel was sold out although I witnessed another guest receiving a room change prior to my inquiry. Additionally, when I informed the front desk staff of a broken A/C unit on both days, they immediately contacted the room engineers. The gentlemen were accommodating and professional, although these turned out to be temporary A/C fixes. The lobby did have an inviting aesthetic which was in direct contrast to my room. While I enjoyed Broadway shows, unfortunately the hotel stay was the only thing that marred my brief trip. In my opinion, although the hotel is conveniently located near several Broadway venues, the room rate was not justifiable considering the condition of the room.
- 1/5
Terrible is all I can say. Rooms barely fit a bed. Shower was broken. Mouse traps in the open.

Nice clean Room, I stay at 9th floor, so it was quiet there. Nice receptionists. Perfect comunitatation. Thank you.

Very good
- 4/5
I stayed here in 2003 and it sure was a surprise to see the elegant staircase in the lobby gone. But over all it was a great stay Water didn’t work in the first room so they moved me.
- 4.5/5
Time Square location, cool hang out lobby, nice staff, comfortable bed. Price a little high. But that’s New York these days.
- 4/5
Great location if you want to be steps away from time square. Can be noisy at night if you like to go to bed early. We didn’t mind the noise outside. We could hear the neighbors through the joining room. That was a bit annoying. The staff was helpful when we called but no one made up our room the whole stay. Not sure if you need to ask or not. The rooms are a little out dated, but they were clean. Overall a decent place. I would stay there again.
- 3/5
We have stayed here many times because of thw location but this time the room and especially the bathroom needs renovation. The shower and tub were in horrible conditions.

This hotel was perfect for what me and my friends wanted to do it was right in time square we didn’t have to take any uber or Lyft all the restaurants are right around the corner and when you walk out of the hotel its a pizza place right there the only thing I didn’t like was you couldn’t really charge your phone up cause the sockets wasn’t working properly so we had to go down stairs in the lobby of the hotel to charge our phones up but I will stay here again when im in New York location is perfect

Went for a birthday trip and upon arrival was able to check in early. Love! However, apparently we weren’t checked in properly after I payed two separate transactions and given the keys. The next month on my birthday we wake up to a couple enter our room using a key card. Luckily our hotel lock was on. It was super uncomfortable and left us feeling very unsafe. Was told we’d get a refund just to then go back the night after to double check and I hadn’t received it to then find out that was submitted either. We finally got that handled “again” but no refund still to hit my account. Respectfully wouldn’t rebook again.
- 5/5
The hotel exceeded my expectations. When we landed we were allowed to check in an hr early to drop off our things in the room as the room was ready. The hotel was beautiful inside with a full bar and entertainment area. The room was just what we needed and clean. The elevators worked great for the entire stay we never had a problem. Also conveniently placed alongside the hotel was a cafe where you could grab coffee, pasteries and more. And just across the street you have the imperial theater where we went to see lea michele in chess and next to that you have the Richard Rodgers theater if you are interested in Hamilton. The location could not have been better. Half a street away from Times Square in between 7th and 8th ave. You have many places to eat and hang out and enjoy great shows. Oh also the bartender Ernesto, the best bartender at this hotel! See you again next year Paramount!
- 5/5
Great central location, cozy bar/lounge, room could use a refrigerator/coffee maker.
- 4/5
We needed a clean, affordable, comfy spot to stay in NYC for the night and we got just what we wanted!

- The Lobby is super nice - Great location as it‘s close to Times Square - The employees are super nice and insanely helpful! - The single room was tiny and not as nice! I expected more for the price and with how the lobby looked. - The AC unit is on the outside of the window and obnoxiously loud. - The walls and doors are paperthin, I could hear every single noise outside of my door. - The view is to the back of the house and into the next hotel room.
- 2.5/5
Easy check in and check out. Gentleman in bag storage area during check in and pick up was very nice. Room is beat up. Mattress way too soft- felt like it was a budget mattress you'd buy at a closeout store. The handle of the shower fell off and we had to screw it back in. A commercial/industrial toilet in a hotel room is not what I was expecting. Looks like it could be a toilet in a general restroom area. Tub looks like it needed to be reglazed. I thought it was dirty but it was just chipped, scratched and beat up. Satellite television signal was not working and could not watch tv. Only one side of the bed had an outlet for a phone or electricity. Seemed odd. The doors to elevators and hallways seemed highly scuffed and beat up. The entire hotel seemed tired. Could use a good deep clean and paint touch ups. The elevators would not register the floor with our key card and multiple people said they had the same issues. 4 of us in one elevator tried to get to the 10th floor with our key cards. Took about 3-4 minutes to get the elevator to finally accept our floor choice. One lady said she was told at the front desk that they elevators was having a problem with recognizing the 10th floor as a choice. Rope lighting in lobby was neat but a few "ropes" were not lit. The hallways were very dark and I feel it is to conceal the tired and dirty carpet and scuffed walls. Staff was pleasant enough but definitely seemed tired and over dealing with tourists.
- 5/5
Exceptional
- 3/5
The location was good No hot water, bathroom very average, small room with poor facilities
- 5/5
The hotel was adorable and conveniently located to everything! The staff were extremely pleasant. There is a great bar in the lobby and a super cute French cafe attached to the hotel. The room was small but that’s to be expected for a NYC hotel room.
- 5/5
- 3/5
Location was okay. Staff was very helpful & nice. Our room was not the cleanest, but we managed. TV did not work in our room, but we were only there at the end of the day to relax and sleep. No mini fridge or microwave, so make sure you plan accordingly. Make sure you check out the little French restaurant downstairs. It was great!
- 5/5
I stayed two nights and enjoyed my stay. Some of the reviews I saw noted the size of the room, but I didn’t mind because I didn’t spend much time in the room except for sleeping. Also, I was upgraded to a King, which was a nice surprise.
- 3/5
Room was small, but nice, however the blinds would not roll up and the TV was unplugged from the wall for reason. Nice and right at the shows on Broadway.
- 2/5
Room was tired, worn and smelled musty. Felt like it wasn’t clean.
- 4/5
Close to Times Square. Very convenient
- 5/5
Loved this hotel
- 1/5
The room was very small and not so clean. The phone was not working for us to call and order something or talk to front desk. And so many other things which were not to our satisfaction
- 3/5
1 washcloth and towel provided only. Bathtub didnt drain so had standing water momentarily. Room had a weird smell.
- 2/5
The room was dirty and the bathroom was disgusting … the place is really noise and the bed is horrible
- 5/5
We had a very good experience at the Paramount. We've stayed there many times before. Never had an issue with anything until this trip. It was a minor inconvenience but it happened repeatedly. Our key cards would not work in elevators one and three to take us up to our room. I scanned my card. My partner scanned their card and the scanners simply didn't work. Other people in the elevator were complaining of the same issue. Like I said, overall it is always an excellent experience but we were there for five nights and it became a little tiresome trying to make sure we only got on elevators two and four to go to our room. Just an FYI! It wouldn't keep me from recommending the hotel but that issue needs to be addressed.
- 4/5
Great location, very nice lobby and rooms not too small
- 4/5
Location is perfect. The ambiance is eccalectic. Fun lobby to relax and hang out. Time square is less than a block. Walk everywhere. Lovely bakery downstairs which is open from 7am to 12 am. An affordable place for the excellent location. If you are looking for sophusticated elegance than this place is not for you. I enjoyed my stay here and will recommend it to others. Richard Rodgers venue is across the street. Exciting hustle and busyle everywhere. Go for it.
- 5/5
We would stay here again and the price point is good.
- 4/5
Room doors on 19 slam and shake other doors and rooms.
- 3/5
Television was broken- would not turn on. Vending machine in lobby was broken, would not give water bottle.
- 3/5
The room was just ok, but in an ideal location for touristy things near Times Square, Theater District, and subways. Keep in mind this area is noisy at night. Really small. When you wash your hands, the toilet seat gets splashed from how close they are to each other. Only one person fits in most areas of the room at one time. No ice buckets to keep drinks cold and one working water station in the gym. The front desk and housekeeping buttons on the phone don’t get answered. I was told after I walked to the front desk to dial 0 instead.
- 4/5
All good. Never a facecloth to use but then again never let the front desk know that.
- 5/5
Staff!! Natalie and Lorenzo are the best extremely helpful and very knowledgeable.
- 5/5
Location, location, location!!
- 3/5
The room was a decent size for two people, most disappointing factor was that there were no cups in the room, and the only source of water was on the fourth floor. Also would have been nice to have a little coffee machine in the room, but perhaps that’s not to be expected in NYC.
- 4/5
The shower didn't have hot water
- 1/5
The ac didn’t work in the room temperature was 79f the entire stay, staff said that was just the way it was. Room had no fridge for medicine. Also room amenities such as a working TV were unavailable throughout my stay.
- 5/5
The property is quiet, no noise and disturbance
- 2/5
The check-in line only had 1 person. Took over 20 min to check in. Saw only one person behind the desk most times during the week. AC didn’t work and they couldn’t fix it. Had to switch rooms after the long check in. Very loud at the hotel. Numerous nights people would knock on our room door or call during the night. Would not allow you to use the cart to transport the luggage. Had to be done my the hotel.
- 5/5
Clean hotel with great location that is in the middle of Time Square and Theatre District actions; many restaurants, bars, and eating options are available right outside. No microwave, fridge, nor coffee/tea maker comes with the room, plan accordingly.
- 5/5
The staff was incredible. The room wasn't spacious but did the job!!. the hotel could maintain more the building. The location excellent from every trains station and walking distance from iconic places
- 5/5
Todo estuvo maravilloso. El aire se dañó a media noche pero resolvieron en 2 minutos, súper al pendiente de todo.
- 1/5
This hotel doesn’t have working AC in the rooms. On top of that the hotel management lies and promises to fix and give credits they do not fallow through with. They keep guested lined up for hours giving fake excuses and telling us they are fixing our broken AC’s for days and fail to resolve. Honestly the property should be shut down. My room was over 80 degrees and the manager tells you he has been working here for only a few weeks and has never seen anything like it. Seems he also have a fake name when asked. Very shady unprofessional operation they are running.
- 3/5
Room was very small and very few places to put things. The bed was very uncomfortable.
- 2/5
The bathtub was rusted and really gross. The bed sheets were great.
- 3/5
The oulets in the room were terrible. The ones by the bed were so loose they wouldn’t hold a plug. The toilet took several times to flush in order to get anything to go down. The French cafe attached was adorable and offered a good variety of pastries!
- 3/5
This hotel have a great location. But the rooms are not that good. Is ok for a long weekend but not for a long stay.
- 3/5
Poor water pressure and water near turned hot. Even on full hot water, it was still only like warm
- 4/5
Room was clean. Small but adequate for my needs
- 1/5
The first night in our room, we had no water pressure and the air-conditioning did not work. They told us that they were sold out, but they would have a new room for us next day and that I would not be charged for that night. I asked if I could have a fan to move the air around in our room at 4 PM on Monday. I asked again then I asked again around 11 PM because it was so hot and then it finally at 3 AM they brought me a fan. I asked for my refund. Today, Thursday when we were checking out and they said that they could not help me because I booked through Expedia I tried calling Expedia three times and got hung up on three times when I explained my situation we were talking to other people in the hotel, and they were having the same issues I would never use Expedia again to book anything there is no reason they couldn’t help me get reimbursed for at least one night and you could not shower for two days and it was 90° there but just to get hung up when I tried to explain my situation from Expedia iis uncalled for
- 5/5
The room was well kept, the lounge had live music most nights which made for a wonderful atmosphere and the bar was perfectly situated right there for it all.
- 4/5
Rooms were clean. Lobby had a great atmosphere. Second level of lobby was dingy and not as clean. TV did not work in my room or the other room associated with this trip.
- 4/5
Overall had a good stay. Location is great. Do NOT have any expectations on checking in early (even at 3:59 pm). No fridge or access to a water fountain was kind of annoying.
- 1/5
We heard many other staying guests also complaining about the air conditioning not working for last 24 hours while the temperatures were 85 degrees. Such a pathetic front desk staff offering no help to us while we were stranded at the middle of night. Never booking this place again
- 1/5
Desperately in need of renovation! No bottled water (particularly for taking meds) or coffee in the room and no washcloth in the bathroom, a small ACRYLIC desk and chair at THIS price (more than $400 per night). Lighting was so dark in lobby and hallways it felt like the haunted house. Will never, ever, ever book this again. EVER! And I do mean never again…..not even for free!
- 5/5
Great location, our train into New York got delayed and we got there very late but check in was so easy ! Would def go back again
- 5/5
Nice clean room. Great location. Friendly Staff.
- 3/5
Minimal amenities, poor plumbing, non functional TV.
- 3/5
Evelyn in reception was excellent. Very thorough and professional. Room was very dated. Air conditioner was hot when we arrived, eventually it cooled during the first night. AC did start leaking onto the rug, we notified reception desk our second day there and upon leaving. Beds were very comfortable. Ultimately if you dont care about luxury or amenities, this hotel is very close to times Square and Broadway.
- 3/5
The problem with my stay is there was an $50 upcharge for the internet and gym beyond the cost of the room itself. None of this was disclosed during the booking and was brought up after the attendant was checking where I purchased the room from. Misleading and essentially entrapment due to the "No Refunds" policy which was disclosed in the description of the Hotel.
- 5/5
Wonderful place, staff, bar, entertainment, and location.
- 5/5
No breakfast no bar
- 4/5
Bar was great bartenders were amazing ! Clean room. But air conditioning was not great in our room and in our friends room it didn’t work at all it was 78 degrees in their room

Location is sole asset. Rooms very small and very worn out. Cockroaches seen in the car/lobby. Breakfast coupons (40$) for the same croissant daily is rip off.
- 3/5
EXTRA FEE FOR AMENITIES.
- 5/5
The rooms are small but the location cannot be beat. Just a couple of blocks from the heart of Times Square, this is an old hotel that has been nicely maintained. First and foremost, it is clean in both the common areas and the rooms. While small, the rooms are nicely appointed and very clean. I would stay here again and would recommend to anyone who wants a relatively affordable hotel in a truly spectacular location.
- 3/5
Good location. The Staff is very professional and willing to assist. The rooms lack of the basics, for example, drawers. Only a desk and chair. The bed was not that comfortable. The location is the best asset this Hotel offers. In the Restaurant Row and close to the Theaters of Broadway.
- 2/5
Standard room was smaller than small, grout in the bathroom was brown closet door was damage, I went and move to a better room and they charged me $57 more and it was just a step u from where I was. Not happy and will not stay at this hotel again.
- 4/5
Under the bed, I found socks from previous guests- so I am not sure how clean the room is.
- 4/5
This hotel is a New York Landmark with a great location. But be weary of the room size. We got an “upgrade” to a queen size room and i think it was the smallest hotel room I've ever stayed in. Other than that the hotel was excellent, perfect location and great environment.
- 4/5
Fantastic location!!!! Was so close to our broadway shows, Times Square, 30 rock, and more. The lobby is beautiful. The room was alright. The walls had some strange spots on it. The shower and bathroom are small. Shower had shampoo but no conditioner. The bathroom floors get very wet when showering. We tried to contact the front desk to ask about something, and it wouldn’t connect. I wish there were two bedside tables, there was only one.
- 5/5
Perfect place to be! Restaurants and theaters are walking distances away. Room is clean and bed was comfortable. Will recommend it
- 3/5
Vending machines really need to be fixed
- 5/5
I liked it a lot comfy bed nice cafe downstairs
- 5/5
Clean room
- 3/5
I think the hotel itself was old. But it was clean. Staff assigned us a room that was already occupied. Location is great. The only bad thing was the heater did not work and with the bed it only had a comforter no sheets other than a fitted sheet.
- 5/5
Room was very comfortable and clean and quiet and staff were great!
- 5/5
Staff was SO kind and accommodating. Bathroom needs some attention. We read a review saying the water pressure wasn’t good but it was fantastic for us. This isn’t the fault of the staff but the hallway smelled very intensely of weed and cigarette smoke.
- 5/5
Excellent location, clean
- 4/5
Love this location, staff very helpful and will return. Wish for another mirror and better lighting in the bathroom.
- 5/5
Haven't stayed at the Paramount in many years, the refurbish was done nicely, the o nly negative is they still only have 3 functioning elevators which was annoying when it got busy. Otherwise, the Paramount has ALWAYS been a favorite place to stay!
- 5/5
Great location and nice. I was double charged and expect my refund.
- 5/5
No breakfast in hotel but a handy bakery downstairs with coffee and all sorts of nice treats. My second stay here and I would select again in a heartbeat.
- 5/5
Everything was turnkey, no complexity. Great contemporary lobby. Helpful front desk and baggage staff.
- 4/5
The hotel is in the perfect location for travelers seeing Broadway shows and is also walking distance from MoMA, Rockefeller Center and Port Authority. I was in an accessible room. Unlike in the online photo, there was no folding shower seat. However, a portable seat was brought to my room immediately after I called the desk. The lobby is huge with many seating options, a bar, and free entertainment at night.
- 4/5
All good
- 3/5
The hotel is in a great location, without a doubt, and price was reasonable considering this. The lobby is also very neat and has fun events. The rooms are nothing spectacular, and the bed is not very comfortable. There were several broken items in my bathroom, like the tile behind the shower head and the towel bar. Also the heater/air conditioner made the most atrocious noise, it was hard to sleep while using it.
- 1/5
Stay far away from this hotel. They gave me a room where the bathroom was so small that I had to straddle the sink to use the toilet. Also, no matter when I returned back to the hotel, there was always a long line for the 3 elevators that operated at a snales pace. The only thing it has for it is the location but there are many hotels in the area., Stay in one of them.
- 5/5
Staff was super friendly - very surprised as I’ve always had a negative experience in NYC
- 1/5
Basic amenities were either missing or nonfunctional. Not even washcloths were provided, the TV did not work, and the AC in our original room was broken, leaving the room at 81 degrees. Two of the four elevators were also out of service, which created obvious issues in a 19-floor hotel with 600 keys. The room itself was in poor condition, with visible damage throughout and coat racks literally falling off the wall. Hot water was inconsistent, and the rooms were among the smallest I’ve stayed in — and I’ve stayed at both Pod Hotels and M Social Hotel Times Square properties before. We were eventually moved to another room after reporting the issues. The replacement room had functioning AC, but the television still did not work. My boyfriend and I both work in the hospitality industry, so we understand that issues happen and tried to remain patient throughout the stay. What ultimately stood out most was the complete lack of accountability or professionalism at checkout. When I returned the room keys and honestly said, “This was pretty awful,” the response from the front desk staff was a dismissive shrug and a quick “sorry.” Frankly, this feels less like a staff issue and more like a management failure. Good luck to you, but we will not be back.
- 5/5
Staff so friendly and helpful
- 4/5
The staff was helpful

- 2/5
Our room was extremely small with practically no storage space. The paint was peeling on the walls and ceiling. There were holes in the walls where a coat rack once was. The toilet was cracked and would not flush properly. The HVAC system was extremely loud and the A/C would not cool the room. The temperature went from 70 to 82 degrees. The television had no connectivity. When advised, the staff did move us to a larger room. It was bigger and slightly nicer. But, still no storage, loud HVAC and the TV was missing the electrical cord. The only saving grace was the location near Times Square and theaters. We would not go back to the Paramount.
- 3/5
That said, the space is definitely tight. The bathroom is very small with little to no room to set your toiletries, and the side table doesn’t offer much extra space either. There is a closet with a couple of drawers and a small desk, which helps a bit with storage, but overall it still feels pretty limited. One thing that stood out right away was the lobby scent, it’s very strong and a bit overpowering when you first walk in. Also worth noting, washcloths aren’t automatically provided in the room, so you’ll need to request them. Overall, we were satisfied enough with our stay. It’s a decent option for the location, especially if you don’t plan to spend much time in the room, but just know going in that space is limited and a few small conveniences are missing.
- 3/5
It was sufficient.
- 5/5
The location is perfect! The reviews of others saying it’s cramped have never stayed in an upper Manhattan hotel, as that’s the norm for even the big brand hotels. The lobby is super nice, the rooms are small and a bit outdated but overall there’s nothing wrong with it! Great place minutes from Times Square, and the theaters! Subway isn’t far, and hailing a taxi or uber isn’t difficult most days. I plan to stay again!
- 3/5
Just not my taste
- 1/5
My entire team had bad experiences. Ac doesn’t work. Elevators broke. Rude staff. Never again.
- 4/5
Perfect affordable stay for one person for one night. Great location.
- 5/5
Bar, lounge, and location were very good. A great coat efficient booking.
- 3/5
Great location and clean. Rooms are small, but lobby lounge is a great place to hang as it has a bar and live music. A wash cloth and body lotion would have been nice additions. Gym is small but functional (except for the peloton which wasn’t connected to the internet).
- 4/5
There were a lot of mixed reviews i had read but we decided to give Paramount a shot. The location was great for all the craziness of Time Square which is what my teenagers wanted. Less than 2 blocks from the craziness. My teens were to go do some of their own adventuring while I went out. We had the bunk bed room and it was very basic, no tv or mini fridge. Mini fridge would have been helpful as we had leftovers that we just had to throw away. The building is old but that’s expected. It was like staying in a dorm room. It was cheap, all 4 of us had our own beds and we dont have any complaints for the location and price. I’ve definitely stayed in a lot worse. The hotel was pretty warm, the room was too warm even though the AC was running. My son actually ended up just sliding the whole window out haha and we slept like that and it was perfect. The lobby was pretty fun. The kids enjoyed listening to the live music. The water was hot, the beds were comfy enough, key cards needed for elevators so it was safe. Never felt unsafe while in NYC. We had a great time! We even ran into Daniel Radcliffe close by and saw the king of England. The whole time was a lot of fun. I would stay there again. Thanks Paramount.

I was disappointed because after a long trip we couldn’t do early check in. No fridge in room. Long lines to check in.
- 3/5
Clean, comfortable beds. AC outlets don't work. Sink stopper broken. No cups?
- 3/5
A\C half work and the room was hot know wash cloth only thing that the hotel had was towels
- 5/5
I loved how there was live music in the night. The staff’s were sweet and friendly.
- 1/5
The restaurant/coffee shop was the best thing at the property. However, the front desk staff were horrible. I booked two rooms for myself and my friend. The male staff member and another woman that worked with them on one day tried to double charge me and my friend in error. When we tried to explain the error they were making they rolled their eyes at myself and my friend and presented as if we were lying. Then they had go back in their system because they "misplaced the money we paid". they discovered their error. After discovering their error they never apologized for their mistake and kept the same negative attitude. Due to their unprofessionalism my friends and I will never stay here again.
- 1/5
I had an issue with the ac making a loud buzzing sound like a shot clock buzzer every 1-2 minutes through my first night. It took 30 minutes for a maintenance worker to enter my hotel room. Look at the unit from 15 feet away and he told me someone will come fix it. Two hours later and two trips to the front desk later, an “on call engineer” came and told me that the fan was on high and they switched it to low and she left. The buzz persisted. I asked for a different room and was told no because they were totally booked. The front desk staff member told me he would credit $90 back to my hold card that 3 days later has not been reflected. We ended up turning off the unit and were uncomfortable in our 75 degree room. Our blinds were broken. Our shower lever that switches to shower from bath did not work and we waited an hour for an engineer to fix that. He was very friendly and genuinely sorry for our inconvenience. The cleaning staff were helpful and kind. The location is nice but not worth sacrificing bare minimum offerings to be comfortable for a stay.
- 5/5
I didn’t mind the room I got but it wasn’t the one I reserved. There wasn’t a tv or microwave but we weren’t in the room long so that’s okay. There were 3 females so more mirrors would have been nice but it was a great stay. Staff was so friendly.
- 3/5
Location was amazing! We were within a 5 minute walk to Time Square. Be warned that you will be waiting quite a while for the elevators. They also had live music and a bar in the lobby. It was pretty cool but VERY LOUD and felt like you were in a club rather than I hotel. Luckily y, we were on the 18th floor and didn’t hear the music but if you were on a lower floor, I would have had to find somewhere else to stay. There is a coffee shop attached and it was so cute and had amazing coffee.
- 5/5
Convenient location.
- 5/5
Great experience!
- 2/5
The rooms were extremely small, only two pillows, no washcloths, unless requested. Television only had one channel
- 5/5
Perfect location! If you are headed to Times Square or a Broadway show this is the perfect location. This place is in the heart of the theater district. Lots of food fantastic options nearby.
- 2/5
We had trouble checking in despite clearly having Queen Bed Rooms noted on our Booking. The Hotel said that they never received the booking from Hotels.com when we checked in and they had to book us new rooms on the day of, and some of our rooms were small single bed rooms. The beds are also too soft and hurt our backs.
- 3/5
Location is good. Room was relatively clean. The resort fee is a joke - mandatory though, so no one's laughing.
- 3/5
I was caught off guard by smallness of room. Restroom was not clean when I arrived. No towels were in the room, took next day to get towels. I was told they ran out.
- 4/5
Room was ok, but fairly run down. Staff was friendly. Housekeeper was aggressive and kept trying to enter the room even after we asked for no service.
- 5/5
nice
- 5/5
Perfect location, friendly staff, great stay
- 4/5
The property location was great! The staff was very friendly and accommodating! We had some issues at check in with rooms not being ready but they were very nice about it and refunded some of our resort fees! Our air conditioning in the room didn’t work and we didnt realize we could have opened the window! No screens on them though. We were able to change rooms after the first night! The lobby, bar and all staff was nice and welcoming! The Parisien cafe located in the hotel is amazing! Food is delicious! Overall it was a good place to stay and i would book it again. Just dont unpack til you know your air works if you like a cold room to sleep in!
- 4/5
Clean and very nice ambience. The best thing is the amazing location.
- 5/5
Overall it is excellent but no breakfast
- 5/5
We got the 6 person room and i was worried it would be cramped, it was actually pretty large. Everyone in our party was comfortable. Rooms are basic with no fridge, but that was fine with us. Will book again!
- 5/5
It is a nice hotel with bare bones
- 1/5
The wait for a reserved room was too much. Our room was HOT. Ac didn’t work and our pillows were FLAT. They also didn’t put towels inside. Horrible, will never consider them again.
- 1/5
Dirty bathrooms no space to sit on the seat
- 1/5
Unfortunately, I really wanted to love this hotel. The lobby is absolutely stunning. Everyone working at the reception desk was kind, down-to-earth, and helpful. We had a late flight in so we arrived around 10 PM, and immediately went to Times Square to check it out. When we got back to the room, I noticed that after I had turned the heat on it still stayed at 63°. It was 40° outside, and the heat did not work. My daughter and I froze the first night. I thought it would be better the next morning, but the room did not get any warmer. I went to the front desk to tell them that the heat was broken and they wrote my room number on a sticky note and told me that maintenance would take a look at it. I did not have to be in the room just go on about my day and my vacation. When I checked back in the afternoon, I asked if anyone had been up to the room yet and they had no idea what I was talking about. So once again, I asked them to have maintenance take a look at the heat. When I got back later that evening, it was still at 63°. I went back down to the desk and asked for a new room. They were fully booked so they could not accommodate me. They told me to check back in the next morning for a new room and gave me a blanket, but I would have to wait until they were all cleaned. I also waited 30 minutes for a room key. I was promised a better room, that their bellhop staff would take care of our bags. None of this happened. By our 4th night and 3 rooms, we were finally accommodated.
- 1/5
Dirty room, super outdated, and teeny tiny. Highly do NOT recommend. If you’re debating between this hotel and another one, go with the other one. Also had a pipe leaking brown water in our room 😬
- 5/5
Great location Awesome place to stay and a great price.
- 5/5
The cleaning lady for floor 15 was the most helpful and dedicated cleaning lady I have encountered in a very long time.
- 1/5
The rooms were very nasty and unsanitary, the workers were extremely inconsiderate.
- 5/5
Hotel very accessible to Times Square. Rooms were clean and only thing was no wash clothes in bathroom.
- 5/5
I loved my stay at the Paramount. We ran into a small issue with room ac and in minutes we were in another room. Staff so professional. I’m coming back in August and will stay here again.
- 2/5
We were incredibly excited for our trip and specifically chose this hotel because of its proximity to Times Square. Unfortunately, from the moment we walked into our room, things went downhill fast. The room was extremely hot, and the AC was not working at all. We immediately called the front desk and were told an engineer would come take a look and that we didn’t need to wait in the room. We went out for a few hours, assuming it would be resolved. When we returned, nothing had been fixed. We called again and continued to get the same vague responses. Finally, at 9:30 PM, eight hours after check-in, someone came up, only to tell us the unit couldn’t be fixed and we would need to switch rooms. We then went down to speak with the manager on duty, Heath Cliff, who told us the hotel was fully booked and there was nothing he could do until the next day. So we were expected to just deal with a 78-degree room overnight. About an hour past and at that point, we asked for at least a fan. He personally told us he would bring one up before leaving his shift. That fan never came. We called again around midnight, and another staff member sent up a different engineer about 30 minutes later. She was the only competent and helpful person we encountered. Within minutes, she acknowledged the issue and got us moved to a new room, something we had just been told was impossible.
- 2/5
I would like to give my stay a higher rating as I found the staff to be pleasant. However, I needed to switch my room three times due to malfunctioning air conditioning. It’s my understanding that this has been an ongoing problem. I do hope they sort it out before the summer season begins. Otherwise for an older hotel the location is great for Broadway devotees.
- 3/5
Close to TS, but that's it. Room horribly dirty, literally dirt on walls and floor and baseboards. Tiny rooms.
- 5/5
Another great stay at the Paramount!
- 4/5
Great location. The bathrooms always had a pee smell. And the ac never worked. But I would book here again.
- 3/5
Hotel was clean but needs updates in bathroom. There were no washcloths. Had to switch rooms because window was stuck open.
- 5/5
The location of the hotel was prime, within walking distance to Broadway theaters, Times Square, subway entrances, and so much more! The hotel itself is so much fun, with quirky, elegant decor in the lobby and rooms with all the basics you might need. Our room was small, but to be expected, as it was NYC, after all! The beds were comfortable, the bathroom and room were clean, and the air conditioning was nice and cold. The front desk ladies were very helpful in checking us in and offering suggestions of eateries and subway assistance. The ability to store your luggage so you can spend more time exploring before or after checkout was so nice, and then the offer of them obtaining a taxi for us to the airport was the cherry on the top. If we're ever able to return to NYC, this will be our home base, for sure!
- 3/5
Nice
- 4/5
Clean, comfortable hotel with a very cool-looking lobby and kind, helpful front desk staff. Our room was comfortable and overall we had a good stay. A few things future guests may want to know: the AC/heating unit in our room was incredibly loud, and there was no bathroom fan. Front-facing rooms can also be noisier since they overlook the street near the theaters and stage doors. It didn’t bother us personally, but light sleepers may want to request a quieter room. Also worth noting that luggage storage comes with a fee. Overall, a solid stay in a great location with a welcoming staff.
- 5/5
.
- 3/5
This was a no frills hotel stay in an aging, worn facility but room for as clean and quiet.
- 1/5
In response, I got an empty apology and a comment that they hoped I would stay there again in the future. Absolutely not happening.
- 4/5
It’s an older hotel. The lobby has been redone. The rooms painted. But the bathroom was small. Missing typical hotel stuff. Top sheet of your bed. Conditioner. Lotion. Wash Cloth, Hand towels. It took me two days to figure out how to get cold water out of the unique faucet. The elevators don’t really work. Only 2 of the 4. You can’t take the stairs up to your room. Sometimes you had to wait 30 minutes for an elevator to your room. When I told the front desk they told me it wasn’t a problem I could use the staff elevator. When I tried, security wouldn’t let me. But located in the Theater district.
- 3/5
We did have to change our room due to the AC being out, but you cant beat this location. We would absolutely stay here again!
- 4/5
Was only there for one night. Room was clean, staff was very helpful. No problem finding my room and had a relaxing night. Would definitely biook again when I visit NYC.
- 4/5
Basic but clean, comfortable beds, hot shower and friendly staff.
- 1/5
His handling of a guest situation was hostile, dismissive, and entirely unprofessional, culminating in me being removed from the hotel by security at 2am without justification. I was then charged $300 for damages I did not cause and did not authorize. This reflects a serious lapse in judgment and raises concerns about how guests are treated at this property. The matter is currently being disputed and escalated.
- 5/5
We loved the live musician on a Monday evening. Luggage store staff was particularly friendly and we really appreciated that.
- 3/5
The property needs some updates internally and the lifts often didn’t work. At the time of our visit construction work was being done right outside the hotel all through the night and the noise heard in the hotel rooms on the road side was considerable. We requested a room move which the staff did accommodate. If staying at this hotel I would recommend requesting a room at the back, as these rooms are much quieter.
- 5/5
Always a great place to start when in New York!
- 3/5
AC did not work, eyelash on pillow, and hair on shower wall. Elevator card reader faulty. The lobby fragrance is overwhelming after a day or two. But…i guess you get what you pay for. It is really central to tourist areas.
- 4/5
Room waa too hot and could not be adjusted. We never had 2 of all roels and washcloths even after asking. Location is best feature.
- 1/5
Paid for a nice room. Was given prison sized room
- 4/5
Arrived in NYC on the hottest day so far this year. I booked two rooms and one room had no functioning AC. Took almost 5 hours to determine the compressor was shot and then another hour or so to get a different room. The staff was wonderful during this issue and refunded a credit for the inconvenience.
- 5/5
Evelyn at the desk was Amazing!
- 5/5
The room was on the small side, but very clean and it was very quiet. The lobby was always busy with people enjoying the places to sit, eat and visit. The live music on Tuesday night was fun! The elevators were extremely slow and it was difficult to find a car with room to get on at busy times, so we often just took the stairs from our 6th floor room. It would’ve been frustrating to be on a much higher floor and having to wait for the elevator!
- 4/5
Great staff. Clean room with tv, a bed, a closet, a chair, a bathtub - a great price but few amenities. I had to ask for paper cups ( no glasses) or coffee or chargers. The lobby was striking art deco and there was a café in the hotel where you could get coffee. Also a great location if you want to enjoy Broadway shows and Times Square.
- 5/5
Perfect location!

I was there to see Zebra in Sony next door
- 5/5
Right in times square

They could change the fragrance of the soup The breakfast was great Room was keep clean throughout our stay
- 5/5
Nice hotel to stay for a New York trip
- 3/5
The communication between the hotel and parking garage! I was advised not to pay the parking garage by the front desk clerk, she advised me to get my ticket validated like I did and I still was charged 60.0 by the garage. My car was held hostage till it was paid
- 5/5
Great location of the hotel and fantastic lobby with live music and a bar!
- 5/5
Location. Clean room. Staff.
- 1/5
Room right next to construction site. Workers jackhammering the road up through the night.
- 5/5
Third time staying at Paramount Times Squares, and if I am ever going back to NYC, I would stay there again. Absolutely perfect. Location is great, staff is nice and helpful, good breakfast, and good amenities. If you are looking for something luxurious, this is not it. If you are looking for something efficient, this is the place. Recommend 10/10.

This place is a JOKE
- 3/5
The room was fair. The hotel reminds me of a European hotel. No frills. Our Thermostat and TV didn't' work correctly and they didn't provide washcloths unless asked for. There is a $45 "resort fee" that we aren't sure what it went to other than just as a hidden fee. The location was good and the room was clean.
- 5/5
Very good

Rooms are small no hair dryer no fridge it was just a good location

Stayed by myself and had a very small room with a twin bed, but otherwise everything was clean and staff was very friendly. Great location
- 5/5
Everything about this stay was wonderful. Great customer service great location loved it. We will be back.
- 3/5
Location was good, lobby was cool and there is a nice coffee shop attached to the lobby. The room was VERY small, had peeling paint, and lacked basic amenities such as hand and face towels and outlets. The bath fan was nott working, and the thermostat did not seem to be working (our room was over 80 degrees in february)Typical of NYC, high price and low quality. But a fine place to rest your head after exploring manhattan.
- 5/5
Paramount is a busy hotel, the staff is always pleasant, professional and listens to what we need. Special thanks to the front desk and luggage managers.
- 3/5
The staff was courteous. When I checked in, there was a pretty big line but the gentleman check-in was helpful, courteous & had a great attitude. The room was bad. The water in the bathroom sink won't go down, called it in, was told to be patient with it, that it would eventually go down on it's own. The toilet was filty and the room was tiny. However, the location of the hotel is perfect & so close to time Square.
- 2/5
The room is shocking, dirty and very worn down. No way is this a 4 star hotel its disgusting.
- 5/5
Clean room, warm welcoming staff and cool lobby.
- 3/5
Room was very cold took it a while to heat up. Several elevators were broke, so it was long waiting to get on the elevator. Other than that, everything was great. Good location and Times Square.
- 4/5
Room was solid and clean. Noise in NYC can be brutal especially with some shows getting out around 9pm. Other than that an overall pleasant experience
- 4/5
rooms were small, but clean. honestly super comfortable and the staff were friendly. I felt safe and I traveled alone with my dog as a woman. not super glamorous but youre going to be out in nyc, not stuck in a hotel. so yeah worth the price and nice lobby ambience during happy hour.
- 1/5
I called the front desk and they sent a technician up to check out the unit. Upon entering the room she instantly got hit with the heat & was taken back by the heat. She looked at the thermostat, went right over to the unit only to realize that the cover to the AC/Heat unit was not even screwed down. She saw that the air control wires were not connected AT ALL. She had to rewire the system right then & there. While doing this the tech burned her hand on the pipes as they where smoldering hot, she also had to turn the heat valve off to the unit. We were advised to let the front desk know if it starting clanging again and away the tech went. The unit started blowing cool finally but the room was not cooling off. The unit started sounding like a plane getting ready to take off and continued to clang loudly. I again called the front desk and the reception told me they would get back to me. We headed down to the desk. They were very reluctant to find a new room, told me the might have a cancellation. I live local enough that I was okay with a refund but then they said oh, we have rooms.... I still checked out and called Expedia.
- 4/5
Our hotel room was small, but typical for NYC. Not a place where I would’ve stayed with children. Trendy vibe, live music, and the connected coffee shop was great. The hotel was clean and well maintained. We were not bothered by outside noise at all. Check in was a little rocky with multiple employees walking by us without saying anything, and then when someone came it was very difficult to hear her over the loud music that was on the time, but all in all it was a good stay. We aren’t “stay in the room” type people, so it suited our needs just fine.
- 4/5
We enjoyed our four nights here with our two teenagers. The beds were incredibly comfortable, we slept very soundly. The staff were friendly and attentive. Shared amenities downstairs were nice. Location was central, we were able to walk to most of the places we wanted to go. Our bathroom was in pretty poor shape, the sink needed replacing, and the fan needed upgrading. Also would be helpful if rooms had more areas to hang things.
- 3/5
The hotel was definitely dated. Tub was chipped and old, toilet was resistant to flushing, hot water was just lukewarm water one morning, check in wasn’t the speediest of ordeals. The location is and price were great, but that was really the only perk.
- 1/5
We were very disappointed in the room. The floor behind the bed was wet for the entire stay and there was an odor. The thermostat/heater in the room also didn’t work properly and we couldn’t control the temperature. There was a loose, exposed wire under the heater as well.
- 5/5
Great room and great location!
- 4/5
Awesome staff, clean room
- 3/5
The room had no amenities whatsoever. No glass to use for water. We would have to go down to the fourth floor to get ice and get drinking glasses. So when I woke up and needed to take my pills, I would have to dress go down the elevator 12 floors and then get a glass just to get the water for my pills. The shower water was tepid at best no hot water. The room was was clean, but the lack of or a refrigerator or an complimentary bottle of water made it not as easy to stay as most of the hotels that we’ve stayed at in the past in New York.

Room was clean but very small. Bed and pillows were comfortable. Hairdryer and steamer in room. No bar soap, makeup remover wipes, no hand lotion (even on request) nor wash clothes.
- 1/5
Horrible rooms that need to be updated as soon as possible. The lobby is nice but it’s a facade. If I wanted to stay at the Red Roof Inn, I would’ve booked there. Staff not accommodating or on the same page communicating.

Room was perfect. Clean . We wanted city life and we got , few steps from everything it was perfect.
- 1/5
We only stayed one night and then booked somewhere else. The heater was so loud and banging all night. Noise canceling Headphones couldn’t even drown it out. The bathroom window had a draft you could feel cold wind coming in. It was so cold
- 5/5
Staff was nice and the lobby environment was beautiful. Everything was close and just around the block from Times Square. Single rooms are perfectly spacious and the bed was really comfortable. No complaints! :)
- 5/5
Just some smell
- 4/5
Basic room but very clean and comfortable
- 5/5
The lobby was so beautiful and a fun vibe with the bar and nightly live music. The beds were comfy and the staff was very friendly.
- 2/5
Room was ice cold with no heat and poor resolution
- 4/5
Staff was great
- 5/5
The Paramount is my favorite hotel in Times Square. The location for seeing shows is perfect, and anything you need is at your fingertips. The lobby is cozy and the staff is helpful.
- 5/5
Great Staff and location. Very clean 👌 👏 👍 🙌 😍
- 4/5
Price was reasonable. Great location if you see lots of theater. They have constant problems with their ice machine.
- 4/5
Nice for the price
- 3/5
I asked before my stay for guidance on the thermostat and was told it’s different a remote or if it’s built in on the wall without any guidance. The thermostat consistently didn’t work resulting in my room excessively overheating. When I called to get guidance again on the thermostat I was told only an engineer could be sent up. When I pushed for guidance as I didn’t want someone coming up as I was travelling alone I was told they would call me back with some, they never did. Rooms additionally far smaller in reality than photos make them look.
- 4/5
My brother's room's AC didn't work at all. It was pumping out heat and they had to unplug it bc they woke up in sweats in 88 degree room. The bar was lightly stocked minimal drinks. Happy hour was still 18 dollar drinks and the bartender was some grumpy rude old lady that you want to avoid at all costs. I asked her questions about the menu and she just told me to read. Overall alright experience but could have been way better. Won't be staying next time.
- 1/5
I was very disappointed with my stay at the Paramount Hotel. The heating and cooling system was a constant problem and made the room uncomfortable throughout the stay. The room itself was not as advertised, which was frustrating given the price and expectations set during booking. The bedding had an unpleasant odor, and to make matters worse, the beds were not level, making it difficult to get a good night’s sleep. Overall, the experience did not meet basic comfort standards, and I would not stay here again unless significant improvements are made.

The lobby was beautiful. The room was clean and spacious. Confusing layout but manageable.
- 2/5
We requested but never got an additional towel for wrapping wet hair. Breakfast was in the basement of another building and was grab and go. Had to brave below freezing temp to go out down the street for that!!! Bathtub was awful, needed renewal. No view from room. Room was tiny and dingy. I can send photos. Just an awful and disappointing hotel. Please take it off your list!!
- 4/5
Central location. I stay here all the time. But the "kids" in the next room were loud until 2 AM one night. And the sound bled to my room.
- 5/5
Great service and clean room! I appreciate the live music in the lobby on Friday! Thankful for the kind cleaning staff!
- 2/5
My last two days standing water in my bathtub said they were gonna send somebody up. Came back water was gone but didn’t clean out the tub then next day happen again… Plus the bar staff works quite standoffish
- 5/5
Great location, very close to times square. The lobby is a vibe!
- 1/5
Hotel needs renovation. Possibly worst one we’ve stayed at. Don’t do it!
- 5/5
Great location. Beds are super comfortable. Staff is very nice. Good atmosphere. Singers in the lobby occasionally were great. This is my new go to for theater weekends.
- 2/5
Of the 4 elevators, only 2 were working to serve 19 floors--every time there was a wait and a crowded elevator. Half of the front doors to the hotel were corded off, making foot traffic into the hotel awkward and crowded for people coming and going. The AC/Heat in the room didn't work. None of the outlets in the bedroom worked, and I had to charge my phone overnight in the only working outlet in the bathroom. Some of the light fixtures in the room weren't working. There were no hand towels to dry your hands on in the bathroom. And the noise from the road below was quite loud (cars honking, traffic); which I expected was par for the course until I stayed at a different hotel in the city (2 blocks away) that was incredibly quiet. This hotel wasn't worth the money, I'd suggest booking elsewhere.
- 5/5
Staff was good, however someone came to my room and tried to open the door in the middle of the night claiming to be room service. Very terrifying
- 3/5
The room was VERY Small and I had to request wash cloths. The location was very good, a short walk to theaters, restaurants, Times Square etc. There was entertainment in the lobby Thursday and Friday night.
- 5/5
great stay close to everything
- 4/5
Late checkout also
- 5/5
La receptionist súper amable y profesional. El lounge es hermoso!
- 3/5
Cold shower
- 5/5
The room was a bit small but considering that it is in Manhattan it makes sense. You just need a good shower and a good bed.
- 4/5
Small but just enough.
- 2/5
No compensation was received. Jean Verdejo
- 4/5
simple and functional in a super convenient location
- 4/5
Room was fine, clean as described. Location is convenient to food & Times Square. Our only frustration was waiting for an elevator. Our last day they let us use service elevator because we had been waiting so long. 4 elevators only 2 worked.
- 1/5
I was fully prepared to stay in a great location in NYC for a good price with lots of charm. BUT... First of all the hotel lobby was filled with what looked like random people trying to stay warm, spread out all over the seating areas. Weren't even sure they were customers. Also, when given my first room the floor was wet. Got my socks wet after a long day of travel, no fun. The second room had a broken heater (NYC IN JANUARY). So, what I got were two room options presented to me that were totally unacceptable. Such poor setup and conditions that I refused to stay and walked across the street to book another hotel. To put it in plain words, they give you two towels. Wash cloths and hand towels are "upon request". Until updates are made, this hotel could be classified as a hostel. It certainly isn't acceptable for what else is in the area for the same price. The staff was amazing and sympathetic. I have to assume I am not the only one complaining. They all know this as I am sure they deal with it on a daily basis.
- 4/5
One particular lady at front desk was very kind and helpful (she had a European accent, I don’t I got her name correct, but it was something that sounded like an ‘E’ sounding name) The biggest issue during my stay was the lift… they have 4 but most of the time only 2 worked.
- 5/5
All of it!
- 5/5
Staff were polite and helpful. Rioms were amazing and clean. Great location fir tourists ti stay and be at time square within minutes
- 5/5
Staff was very friendly and location was very central
- 2/5
Room basic. Breakfast outside hotel
- 5/5
Friendly staff, great free breakfast!
- 1/5
Construction across the road kept me awake all night. Moved to the back of hotel, the room the size of a shoe box. No coffee making facilities. Charged to keep bags in storage. All in all, disappointing..
- 5/5
Solo traveler and the small room was perfect, no more space needed. Being there for theatre, the Paramount is perfect…smack dab in the middle of Times Square and the theatre district!!

- 5/5
Excellent all around!
- 5/5
Love the Paramount Hotel! We have stayed here multiple times. Centrally located, staff is fantastic, its always a great stay.
- 4/5
Nice hotel for the price in the area. Bathrooms were small and lighting wasn’t great for applying makeup. The rooms were very clean. Beds were comfortable and allowed us to come back and relax between shows and watch some tv. Lobby was also a comfortable option to rest. Housekeeping and maintenance were very quick. We had a small issue with the water. They fixed it within just a few minutes.
- 3/5
It was ok. Great location. Had to ask daily for clean towels, a little dated but ok for a weekend stay
- 1/5
It’s worse than motel 6
- 5/5
Thank you for being welcoming. The bed was made and comfy!
- 2/5
The hotel and its rooms are soooooo outdated even for NYC!
- 4/5
The hotel is in a great location, and the staff were excellent, very friendly, accommodating, and welcoming. The room was comfortable and good for the price range, and the lobby had a nice, relaxing atmosphere. The only area for improvement would be the elevators in the morning; it took nearly 15 minutes to come down from the higher floors since only two elevators were operating.
- 3/5
Elevator broke was an issue, bathroom fan broken, no control over heat and it was over 75 degrees. Overall, just run down but not awful. We wouldn't stay here again.
- 5/5
Loved everything about our stay! The staff were amazing. There was love music in the lobby most night! The location was perfect! Definitely our go to!
- 3/5
Great location. Nice vibe in the lobby. Spacious, but under furnished room. Awful mattress. No hand towels or conditioner. Only 2 of 4 elevators operating for a 17 story building.
- 1/5
Not that we a expect
- 3/5
Just be aware they are doing construction right across the street so if your room is facing south you will hear it from very early in the morning. Other than that our stay was good. Great location and friendly staff.
- 4/5

- 4/5
Great location, very helpful and friendly housekeeping staff
- 5/5
Front desk staff was incredibly helpful, check-in/out super easy. Room was small but still felt comfortable for 2 adults and 2 kids! Will stay here again!
- 5/5
We had a great stay! Friendly staff and nice place!
- 5/5
Great room and service
- 3/5
Rust stains on the bathroom floor and in the tub, heat and air unit leaked and left rust stains on the floor, walls were dirty where something spilled from the top bunk down to the bottom, thermostat did not control air- heat on 67 but was 72 in room, turned to air on 67 room still 71. No dresser or tv in room. We checked in to a 4 bunk room and were only provided 3 towels and no wash cloths or hand towels.

Staff is wonderful! Efficient, location is key! Comfortable beds. Clean rooms!!! We love staying at the Paramount!!
- 5/5
Clean room; everything in the room seemed relatively new and in good condition; ambient and entertaining lobby; enjoyed the musical guest on Monday night; elevator was fast and always available! (had a very different experience at a different hotel that actually had elevator "rush hour" signs and I ended up walking up 26 flights! This was SO MUCH better!)
- 3/5
But the price was right.
- 5/5
Room and bathroom is small but not bad and is clean. Staff was great and very helpful at all times. Very quiet and close to everything.
- 5/5
My wife and I stayed here for New Year’s, and we had such a great experience. It was affordable, the staff was kind and welcoming, and we were even able to check in early. They held a New Year’s Eve countdown in the lobby, which made the night feel extra special. The location was perfect—super walkable and just a 3–5 minute walk to Times Square.
- 1/5
Horrific experience. Strict 4 pm check in made for a long wait to get a room. The heat in one of my groups rooms was unable to regulate despite trying to manually set after dinner and over 80 degrees in the room all night. We were not going to trouble the staff at 3 am but won’t be returning.
- 1/5
None of the rooms come a small fridge. No little coffee maker. No where in the hotel can you find a microwave if you want to heat up something. We found debris under our bed. The heat was not working. The room is so small, you better not have claustrophobia or in trouble. I would not recommend.
- 5/5
Overall great experience and surpassed my expectations
- 4/5
Helpful staff, easy check-in/out, convenient location, room had everything I needed.
- 5/5
Great location
- 4/5
Ac was super loud from the 80s
- 3/5
Very friendly and courteous staff Room was clean and in good condition. Cons: Even though it is advertised as a 4 star hotel on hotels.com, it’s more like a 3 star. The room anmelde of vape smoke upon entering. We received only one towel per person The bathroom had a metal prison-like sink
- 5/5
Great stay! Rooms are small but that is to be expected. For the price, it’s a great stay! Jackie at reception is fantastic!!!
- 4/5
Loved the lobby! Only 2 bath towels in a 4 person room was only negative
- 5/5
Great
- 4/5
Staff was very attentive and the linens seemed fresh and clean.
- 5/5
Good value! Clean and just as advertised. Super location.
- 5/5
All good
- 1/5
And this last time I will come to this place
- 1/5
The bathroom sink leaked onto the floor, the air conditioner leaked and soaked the carpet making the VERY SMALL room even smaller as there were parts we couldn’t use. We also had to make multiple phone calls to get enough towels for the four of us. We were eventually moved to another room which had a broken air conditioner fan. This was repaired. No ammenities in the room. No hair conditioner, no face towel, no fridge. For the price we paid, this hotel was really not up to standard. We wasted so much time on the phone, at the desk and moving our family of four to another room. It impacted on our time in New York City. I am not fussy and don’t complain, but this wasn’t a good experience.

Room was excellent; clean, spacious and very comfortable. Staff was friendly, professional and courteous. Hotel has a great lobby with bar and location is excellent, close to theaters, dining, Times Square and the piers. Highly recommend. Our fourth time there.
- 5/5
Great location. Clean room and services everyday! Comfortable! And quiet.
- 1/5
Sheets were thin and cold, bathroom area- not clean, worn out, towels were cheap
- 5/5
Super clean room. Housekeeping came every day. Shower was hot every day. Literally had 0 issues.
- 2/5

- 3/5
The room was in pretty bad condition compared to the price of others in the area. No USB charging plug in , the phone in the room didn’t work. No place to hang clothes .
- 5/5
Very convenient Location and confortable room for the price.
- 5/5
Great location, friendly staff, clean room
- 3/5
You mainly pay for location. We got in late and was grateful they held our booking. The room itself wasn’t anything extravagant, but we weren’t looking to be in the room all that much. When I took my shoes off, the carpet was soaked and I noticed a mildew/mold smell. The next day I informed them of this and they sent up an engineer to tighten something. The A/C then wouldn’t cool the room and they sent another engineer to the room and he just killed the heat, so we really couldn’t adjust the A/C or heat like we would’ve liked. Overall, the experience was fine and the staff was pleasant. There weren’t many outlets and there was no counter space, but we made it work.
- 4/5
The staff was wonderful and they were so helpful
- 3/5
We were hoping to get something a little nicer or at least get something knocked off our bill since the first night was rough, but we got a carbon copy of the room... but TV and thermostat worked. We did enjoy the live music in the lobby, so that was a plus.
- 3/5
Our bathroom shower was very clogged and the heater didn’t work till I called to come fix it. Didn’t like that I had to pay to store my luggage for a couple of hours after checkout, also wasn’t able to use the bathrooms in the lobby after checking out.
- 1/5
Hotel was not well kept, one the bar was mostly a lobby waiting area, staff was inattentive. Rooms were uncomfortable, bed was not a full it was also uncomfortable and not clean. I would never even at zero cost stay with this hotel again.
- 5/5
Close to everything very clean
- 5/5
Outstanding service!
- 3/5
good
- 3/5
Staff was very friendly! Comfy beds and great location!
- 3/5
Was expecting 2 beds instead got the smallest room with one double bed. It was clean but so small it was hard to move around.
- 1/5
No hot water for 2 days. Heating unit leaked & soaked and stained our clothes & suitcases. They didn't even send anyone to dry the carpet. Basically told us to contact expedia. 2 towels in room-no hand towels or wash cloths, not even a disposable cup in the bathroom. Only good thing about the place is the location
- 3/5
The room was freezing. Reported it to the manager. Someone came to fix it. It was still freezing in the room. Otherwise ok. Just do not visit in winter.
- 4/5
Helpful staff, clean room, easy access. It was perfect location for our weekend trip to see some Broadway shows.
- 4/5
The receptionist that checked us in seemed new and bumbled a bit. He did not tell us where the elevators were or any other information to enhance our stay at this hotel.
- 4/5
Small but efficient. The staff were very helpful and kind.
- 5/5
The bellhops were helpful
- 5/5
Very close from Times Square and dining locations
- 2/5
The hotel is in a great location. But No Internet service no Internet service connection. So whenever we were in the room, we don’t have nothing to watch, but the local news because you can’t connect your apps at least use your phone to connect your apps like Netflix or others ones. There’s a pipes running through the room they gave us and construction is right outside our window so we wake up so early because the construction workers are on site early. The bathroom wasn’t very clean either. I think for a nice hotel like that that is in the middle of Times Square making all that money from customers, they can do better.
- 5/5
We didn’t use parking. The bar was excellent. One night we planned to go out but ended up staying there at the bar because it was so fun.
- 3/5
The bathroom wasn’t too clean, specially the shower.
- 4/5
Room service and how beautiful the hotel was.
- 3/5
The table lamps did not work, very small bathroom and very noisy
- 1/5
Awful. Smallest room. No hot water. So dirty. We had to leave & couldn’t make ourselves stay- it was truly that bad.
- 4/5
Great location and friendly, helpful staff.
- 5/5
Very helpful staff, great location 2 minutes walk from Times Square
- 3/5
Avg hotel for the price
- 3/5
First room hot water did not work after work was supposedly completed and water pressure was low. Only had 2 big towels. Second room water was hot but pressure was poor and slightly better than before. Had 2 big towels and 2 hand towels. First room was slightly bigger being on the end hall. Gave up an end room to have hot water. Both rooms showers were a little rough looking. House keeping walked in even though we paid for late check out. My friend was in his underwear (thong) eating breakfast at the desk in the room. Woman kept door wide open, said “sorry”, but continued to talk about her being there to clean the room. I was in the bathroom preparing for a shower and heard the conversation. Issue was due to having to move rooms for hot water. Was only given 1 day of resort fees back for the house keeping incident.
- 2/5
The room was very dirty. There was no water pressure and the water wasn’t hot. The worst part was the heater though. It kept us awake all night because it was whistling and cracking very loudly.
- 5/5

- 4/5
What we expected, despite the increased cost due to Christmas season
- 3/5
good staff. I think more can be done to the rooms though.
- 5/5
Clean room
- 1/5
I do not understand why a room with such conditions is still being sold to guests. This is not an acceptable or livable accommodation condition. I am therefore requesting a full refund for this stay. I have pictures and videos we made 5am in the room, if you need.
- 1/5
Room temp was uncon
- 4/5
Staff was quick to respond when our heater was running continuously. They fixed the issue. The hotel is in a good location for many attractions. Twin bunk beds were comfy!
- 4/5
Love the location. Comfortable stay. Great variety of food choices around and safe for solo female traveler. I enjoyed my stay.
- 3/5
Staff was FANTASTIC! So friendly and helpful! The rooms could definitely use some updating. Outlets were loose and couldn’t hold my chargers. Bathtub and toilet were not very clean. Door to the room was VERY difficult to open from the hallway AND from inside the room. But the staff made our experience awesome! GREAT LOCATION, too!
- 4/5
Everything was excellent. However, the hot water temperature was warm during the morning.
- 4/5
The staff was friendly. The location was perfect. The decor was awesome.
- 4/5
The hotel is very safe and in a good area, nearby Times Square. The only thing I would say is the our room didn’t really get cleaned by housekeeping during our stay. Overall, I would stay here again because it was a good location and the hotel was in good shape.
- 5/5
My room was spotless and the staff was amazing very friendly and helpful!
- 5/5
Great staff, room clean, close to amenities
- 1/5
No hot water for my four night stay. First room I was I. Had two water leaks in the bathroom ceiling. Poor response from front desk. Rooms were very small. Will never stay again.
- 1/5
The room had no heating and the window was broke so was letting in cold air. When I told the front desk she didn’t apologise, argued with my about the temp outside. Offered extra bedding and the worlds most useless fan.
- 2/5
Bad elevators key doesn’t work
- 5/5
They were very helpful at lobby! They cleaned the room every day!! Wonderful place!!
- 5/5
The room was clean and convenient to things we wanted to do while in New York. Close proximity to Times Square, Rockefeller Center and Radio City Misic Hall
- 2/5
The rooms are outdated and need repair. The tv worked only some during my stay. The bathtub is grungy and dirty. The heater was rusted and the cover was not secured. The bed was comfortable though. The staff was hit or miss on being friendly and helpful. Some staff didn’t care to help, like at checkin. The guy asked for my drivers license, then handed it and my room key to me and said “you’re done”. Nothing else was said! He didn’t confirm my stay details, mention the Wi-Fi, where the water station was, etc. I learned about the water station from another employee on my second night. The hotel is dark in general from the lobby and bar up to the rooms. The hallways were well lit though. Being that it was right at the center of Times Square, it could get loud and night and early morning. The location was convenient to walk to lots of attractions though.
- 3/5
The room was decently cleaned but it was very dusty in areas like lamps and shelves. The outlets didn’t even work, nothing would connect to them. The staff were nice, that’s the only good thing about this hotel. Oh and the location is very convenient.
- 2/5
Room is extremely basic. No amenities at all. No kettle, coffee machine, cotton pads, nothing at all. And it is so old, you can see the wood on the door peeling off and scratched all over the bath tub. The water in the bath tub doesn’t drain fast and it’s disgusting. For 2 days, there was no hot water at all. Avoid While the location is excellent, I have to say. The lobby is cool and they have performers every night. Staff are rude
- 3/5
Rooms need full remodel/reset. TVs have limited channels and remote was quirky
- 4/5
Had a small glitch of having no towels in room upon check in but was fixed quickly. Decent room. Staff was friendly and helpful. We liked that there was a fun vibe in the lobby on the weekend nights with singers and music although it was obviously difficult for the front desk staff as the noise level was high. Overall we liked our stay and the location was great for theater.
- 3/5
sink was leaking water, no hot water the first night
- 5/5
Perfect position
- 3/5
Yes
- 5/5
The location was perfect in midtown, so close to theaters and Times Square as well as the Port Authority. There was a welcoming feeling in the lobby, with live entertainment each night.
- 5/5
Great scent in the lobby, friendly staff.
- 5/5
The staff is friendly and accommodating.....the room was clean
- 1/5
This hotel was so dirty, the rooms are so small and you can tell they don’t wash the sheets they were filthy
- 5/5
Single room was a really good value for the great location.Great staff! Lobby was good for working/ relaxing since room was not really big enough for anything but sleeping. Very clean, and efficicient elevators!
- 5/5
We had a nice stay at the Paramount. With proximity to Broadway and Times Square, it is in a perfect location. The hotel itself has a nice lobby, the room was clean and while amenities were somewhat limited, it was perfectly nice. The staff we dealt with were all friendly and helpful. For a large hotel the elevators always arrived promptly. I would definitely recommend a stay here.
- 1/5
Plumbing issue, heater / ac didn’t work. Got a new room and ac didn’t work. Bathtubs were nasty and the rooms were dirty. Got a dirty bedsheet. Spent a lot of money for a very awful experience
- 2/5
Issues with the room. Thermostat didn’t work so 67° in the room on a cold night, water pressure was low and water didn’t get past lukewarm, body wash dispenser was empty.
- 4/5
The room was clean.
- 5/5
Extremely friendly staff
- 5/5
Had a great stay, the people were very nice and helpful. The room was really small but guess that’s what is expected. I had no complaints.
- 5/5
Great stay again! Stay here every time!
- 5/5
yes
- 3/5
Room needs updating for sure. Also, there was no hot water for our showers at all!! Wine Wednesday and you were out of 2 red wines.
- 3/5
Yes, the room was in good condition but smelled of chlorox bleach. I hardly saw staff at the hotel
- 5/5
Always a pleasure to stay at the Paramount, my home away from home. Even in the middle of Thanksgiving craziness outside, the hotel was a quiet and clean getaway. The staff are always ready to help - and in my case - offer a nice little upgrade.
- 5/5
Staff always and consistently a pleasure at Paramount. It's the only hotel I use when visiting NYC. The convenience of the location is unbeatable. And, in spite of the hoards outside on Times Square, the Paramount is always a great getaway.
- 5/5
Perfect location, will benefit from Renovation the room, staff very helpful and nice
- 5/5
Floor was wet
- 5/5
Everything good
- 3/5
The condition of the room was good. The bathroom was a lot smaller than depicted. The staff was friendly.
- 2/5
Stayed here 3 years ago and it was rough then. This time, we had 2 separate rooms and both had to be moved. Wet carpet in the one, a leaking toilet in the next and finally a bathtub that looked like someone had taken sandpaper to it. The leaking toilet was never solved either. Many other couples in the lifts were moaning about no heating in their rooms, poor overall condition and just a general dissatisfaction towards the hotel. It’s fairly priced for NYC and where it is located, but spend a little more and get a better hotel. Staff were friendly, but they offered no compensation or refunds. I even had to check out for a day and wait for a replacement room.
- 1/5
Consisted of 2 bunk beds, no where to sit, no desk, no tv - nothing but bunk beds with 4 feet between them, for &1,000. It was the easily the worst room I have ever had.
- 1/5
were not working. reception staff and front manager were helpful as i could not stay in that room as bedroom linens and bathroom did not look clean. I was an only in nyc for one night and it was a huge inconvenience to cancel the hotel and book another hotel and added expenses with unnecessary cabs. I really think the single rooms should not be available for booking and outrageous to charge 400 plus taxes plus a facility fee! I would not recommend anyway to stay there. Orbitz refunded the room rate but i was still out the facility fee. All in all other than the front manager and reception staff being great it was a horrible experience.
- 5/5
Good service
- 5/5
The staff was professional, friendly and accommodating. Perfect location for us.
- 5/5
Friendly staff, super helpful and kind. Hotel was amazing!!! Gorgeous inside and right in the heart of Times Square! Definitely staying again soon! We had the quad room for a girls trip and it worked out so good! Thank you so much!!
- 3/5
Tea and coffee amenaties in room
- 2/5
Can’t check in without a credit card. Hardly a perk. I have to check a bag so might as well go to the counter.
- 5/5
Great location, Great lobby bar with friendly staff
- 5/5
The room was clean and the thermostat worked great. The staff were friendly and accommodating. We arrived way before check in and they held our luggage so we could start exploring the city. Highly recommend.
- 1/5
Staff unfriendly. No remote for tv, had to get one brought to room. Some electrical units weren’t working. No housekeeping service. Tried to call for towels but didn’t answer. No hot water. Charged $2 a bag to store luggage on check in. Charged $3 a bag to store luggage on check out day. Tried to talk with a manager but was told general manager does talk to guest.

Ceiling had a leak and did report it to reception and mattress needed to be replaced but heating was great.

Would have liked a top sheet with the bed comforter, and needed hair conditioner and body lotion in the bathroom. The tv didn’t work, and the controls for the heat didn’t work. The room was too hot.

Staff was excellent. The water was cold taking a shower on day two. The heat was messed up. I loved the overall hotel and service.

There was no hot water in the room. The phone system didn’t work to call the front desk. Rooms are TINY. Radiators were very LOUD

No hot water one morning, broker elevators next day, all accompanied by excuses and attitude.

Not what I signed up for. Bunk beds, reserved two doubles. No tv. No microwave. No fridge NO HOT WATER!! 700$ a nite. Skip this place

This hotel was excellent for location, cleanliness, and the lobby area, especially the bar! The only downside was a small room and bathroom, hot and cold water negotiable. Staff were lovely.

No hot water, rust in bathroom and on radiator, radiator leaked and had a 2’x2’ wet spot on the floor. Elevators were so slow it was nothing to wait 10 minutes for an elevator.

Great location
- 3/5
Pros: Location was excellent, in the middle of the theater district and close to Times Square. Single room was small yet efficient. Good housekeeping. Problems included room safe broken, shower didn't drain properly, and worst was not being able to heat the room sufficiently, despite calling the hotel engineer to help with the thermostat. Note: Shampoo and body wash is provided, no conditioner or lotion, must ask for wash cloth.

I love the hotel, the lobby is amazing with the live music. The people were very nice. My room always very clean. And the locations were incredible. I will comeback to this hotel and i will recommend 100%.

Water was leaking below the toilet & the thermostat was not working properly, I had to turn off the heat & leave the window in the restroom crack open because I couldn’t control the temperature in the room.

The staff were not welcoming and rude. We had 2 rooms booked for 5 days. When I realized the bed situation was not what we thought (we had 2 adults and 2 teenagers), I asked to book another room. They said they couldn’t do that and we would have to look online. I was able to book another room through Hotels.com. and then wait in yet another long line to get that room. At this point we have 3 rooms for my husband, me and 2 teenagers. The room with the “queen “ bed did not have a safety latch on the door. So in line we go again. They made me feel like I was a nuisance because I wanted to change that 1 room because there was no safety latch on the door that I had my 2 girls in. Then the 2nd night the heat broke in the room. We woke up to a 62° room. Again, they made me feel like it was our fault and a bother to find us another room. They finally did, but not before I had already spent at least minimum 20 minutes waiting in a line for the 5th time now. No one ever offered to help us move our luggage or help us in any way. And, to make things worse, moved us into a smaller (which I couldn’t believe existed) room. I honestly spent at least 1 full day (at different times) just moving from room to room and waiting in lines. Horrible experience for me, since I was only trying to show my niece and daughter a great time in NYC for their 16th Birthdays. My girls had even “nicknamed “ the 2 women at the reception desk “rude 1 and rude 2” because they…

The room had no wash clothes, no radio clock (I had to look at my phone whenever I wanted to know the time), and no coffee maker. Elevators were very fast.

The staff were very friendly and helpful. Rooms are small and quite basic but the beds are comfy. Location is excellent, 2 minutes walk from Times Square.

Staff is great. Always felt welcomed.

Heat in room malfunctioned. After speaking with other quests, it appears it was a common pro. Only one towel for double room. Water leaking from A/C onto floor.
- 1/5
The lock on my room would not lock and the safe was broken. I reported these issues twice and had the room safe fixed, but not the door. I didn’t feel safe knowing my room door had no lock to secure it. Very disappointing that the front desk staff didn’t take my concern seriously and did not follow up at any point. They seem to be use to a revolving door of guests given the busy location. Do not recommend, especially with the many options in the area.

Clean hotel

Couldn’t take a shower because there was no hot water or pressure. First impression of room was terrible, broken door, cracked bathroom sink, no wash cloths or face towels. Possibility the worst room We have ever stayed in. I would never return! I asked other guests about the water problem and they had the same problem.

Friendly and welcoming staff. Room was spacious and clean. The bathroom was a bit dated. The bathtub was pretty slippery and had to be very careful moving around while taking a shower. The tub was pretty narrow as well.

What to say, other than 'at your own risk'. I've stayed here years before and when it was a Morgan's Hotel Group property. Then, it was exciting, original and sharp. Now after years of decline and changes of ownership, it's a very tired and ropey version of its former self. After booking (!) and when it was too late to change/cancel - I read the reviews, many of which were damning. It meant an anxious journey across the Atlantic and city before checking in. Bottom line, my stay was not that bad (if you kept your expectations very low). The room was tiny, worn and lacked sharp cleaning standards - but I escaped street and lobby noise (top 19the floor), pests and dilapidated facilities. Did I get value for my £350 a night - well it's subjective in New York. Probably not. Decent staff though, easy check-in and no real issues. Just a lower than budget standard for a premium price. Location couldn't be faulted except for crazy busy nature, but that's Times Sq.

Dimly lit rooms and halls bc everything is so rundown. Room either ate bribing hot or colds showe was 3x3 with two towels and zero wash cloths. I’ve only available on one of the 15 floors. Staff was rude and standoffish. If you don’t care about your room and want to be in the middle of Times Square and don’t plan on taking an Uber anywhere, then this could be for you. But there are five Marriott’s within walking distance.

Really small room. The bathroom was a very tight space.

Everything you can think of went wrong, beside from the staff they were decent. But oh my the first day was horrible the first 6 hours we had no heat it was broken. We were told it was going to come on and it never did, they sent a technician and said in about 30 minutes would turn on it never did. So we were freezing the first 6 hours of our stay until we complained enough to get moved to a different room. As we enter the second half of the night with a new room it was all good did business as usually. Next day comes in the morning we did not know this other issue was coming upon us. When we tried to take a shower every morning the first 5-7 mins the water was brown…. Keep in mind this is a hotel we paid for over 2400 dollars for our stay in New York City. As we made our complain they didn’t acknowledge it, till after saying yeah they have rusty pipes….Overall the hotel lobby, rooms and hallways had an odd odor that wouldn’t make you feel well. Definitely I was dealing with more hotel issue then business in New York City.

All was great!
- 3/5
Room was tiny, and very outdated. Window let in a lot of street noise. The water pressure was awful or non existent. The front desk staff, or the one woman that checked us in, was not very welcoming and a bit rude.
- 4/5
Room was clean, smaller but functional
- 3/5
Reservation was for 2 people but there was only one towel in the bathroom. No drinking glasses in the room or bathroom. Cold water tap stiff and hard to use.
- 3/5
The thermostat in the room didn’t work, so we were unable to cool the temperature down. The radiator was in even when we turned the thermostat off. I tried to turn it to cool and set the temp at 72, but when we got back to the room it was 77 and wouldn’t go down. We ended up sleeping with the window propped open. The bathroom was very small without any shelf area, spare cups or hair drier. There was one electrical outlet near the bedside, but no where to plug a usb, so I had to charge my phone in the tv usb.

Perfect location for a night in the heart of the city.

Front staff was excellent (Lorrenzo). Also, the speed and efficiency of the engineering dept. when our heater was not working (Tech. Sonny).

Rooms need a huge upgrade starting with restrooms and A/C units.
- 3/5
Stayed here because it was the cheapest local option, got what I paid for. Bathroom is tiny, hot water was sporadic. The bed was actually OK though…overall this is an old, outdated hotel desperately in need of renovation. But if you need cheap option, it will suffice - just keep your expectations in check!

Better location.

The location is great. But the HVAC doesn't work. I reported it and they never send anyone up. Each day i make calls, they dont pick up, i go to the front desk to report the issues and theybsaid they will send someone. None. The carpet was soaking wet coz the HVAC is leaking. Terrible room experience, apparently majority if the reooms are like these and their not fixing it. I will never go back to this porperty. Unless they fix those issue.
