Reviews
The Omni Berkshire Place is a well-liked hotel in midtown Manhattan, appreciated for its prime location and clean, comfortable rooms. Guests frequently praise the friendly and helpful staff. However, some guests have expressed disappointment with the lack of in-room amenities like coffee makers and mini-fridges, and a few have experienced issues with noise.

Spotless, great location and people.

Friendly staff, great location

Room was nice- although it seemed like it was missing furniture? ( maybe room to add a roll-away bed?). No coffee maker in the room. No bottles of water- not even for a charge. An empty fridge- would’ve expected better amenities from this hotel. Also, on our second morning we awoke to find running water was brown. No notice or accommodation of any sort from the hotel. Also, and this may sound ‘picky’- housekeeping made the bed in such a way that the blanket was tucked in at the foot of the bed so far, that the blanket didn’t really reach high enough. Easy enough to adjust- but when we did, all the bedding came undone. We stayed three nights- it was the same on all. Too bad- this could be an excellent hotel
- 5/5
Very quiet which is hard to find in downtown NYC!!

- 3/5
The room was very tired. Older bathrooms with a burned out light. The bedding was nothing special. There was an outlet in an alarm clock on one nightstand and nowhere to charge a phone on the other nightstand. The furnishings overall have seem better days. Time for a remodel especially in such a great location.

Great location!

Great location, easy to walk to subway. Staff at hotel are exceptional.

Front desk staff was less than pleasant when we checked it. We have stayed here off and on during the years at different times of the year and this visit was disappointing. This will be our last visit

1. Upon arrival, I was informed that my room was ready, but if I wanted access to it sooner, I would need to pay an additional $125 fee. 2. Shortly afterward, I witnessed another guest (she was white) checking in and being told a similar room was available early; however, they were not charged the same fee. 3. The condition of my room was unacceptable. The headboard was peeling apart, and the bathtub was not properly cleaned. 4. The towels provided were poor quality and left fuzz all over my hands and body after use. 5. The customer service was equally disappointing. The manager, Danielle, was rude and dismissive toward both my friends and me. One of my friends had reserved a suite, but the hotel failed to document that the room was not ready until approximately 4:30 p.m. My friend had to call the hotel to check on the status of the room. When this issue was raised, Danielle accused my friend of lying and denied that the situation had occurred. 6. During our stay, there was a nearby Israeli parade (free Palestine) One of the security guard spies approached me and suggested that I should leave and head to the airport. As a visibly Muslim woman, I found this comment offensive, inappropriate, and deeply concerning. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone but the Israelis.

Clean, nice, great proximity to everything

Loved the location and historic nature of the hotel. Staff was excellent. Room furnishings were a little dated for such an upscale hotel and the breakfast, while goo, was overpriced.
- 5/5
Overall solid and helpful with checking in early and they also held our bags before we flew out our last night I was very happy.
- 5/5
Great breakfast and room service
- 4/5
It was an average hotel that was slightly over priced. We paid $500 a night and it felt more like a $385 a night hotel. Slightly dated - mattresses were the same cheap spring mattress with a pillow top that they buy in bulk for $500 each, but every other hotel we stay at has the same quality beds. Really wish they would buy nice new mattresses if you want $500 a night. Location was great. We walked to so many places like Central Park ,5th Ave shopping and even TAO restaurant. Close to amazing pizza and bagel shops too. If you’re planning on booking, you won’t be disappointed, but you won’t be impressed either.

Very clean
- 5/5
Very nice. Great location for shopping and getting to popular parts of town. Felt very safe outside, even late at night..
- 3/5
The hotel’s location is not good it is perfect. The staff was polite and helpful but the most important point for me was the cleaning was not good enough. Also there was no coffee or tea machine in the room. We stayed for 1 week. I liked the location but because of cleaning issue I would not prefer this hotel again
- 1/5
Please be advised of the resort fees, which amount to $100, with an additional $40 per day. The carpeting in the hallways appears to be in need of cleaning, as it has a musty and dusty quality. The manager's demeanor was rather abrupt. While the room itself was spacious and pleasant, the lower floor accommodations felt somewhat constricting. The property does show its age, but its location is a significant advantage. The food offerings are satisfactory, and both the maid and bellman provided kind and helpful service. The bar area gives the impression of catering primarily to long-standing patrons, lacking a vibrant atmosphere. I was not informed about the availability of amenities such as a gym, rooftop access, or a terrace.
- 1/5
Terrible experience. Double charged me for my room and was told will be getting a refund, charge went through. Had previous guests food in my room when I checked in and they "forgot" to take it out. Lights didn't work. Rude staff. I didn't expect much from this hotel, but trying to fraud me is something I have not run into before.
- 5/5
Lovely hotel. Great location. Important to remember to request coffee maker and water at check in.
- 3.5/5
It was a very traditional hotel. The blind in the window had a stain and the bathroom was a bit old. The shower in the bathtub was also very rustic.

Everything was great, the stafd was great and super helpful.
- 5/5
Perfectly located in Midtown right near Rockefeller Center and St. Patrick's Cathedral. We walked to Broadway theaters and the Met Opera House. Many excellent restaurants nearby. Our room was spacious and very comfortable. Beautiful elegant hotel with great service. Nice bar! Our 5th visit and in 20 years it's never disappointed.
- 3/5
Restaurant was often closed. Room service very limited during late hours when restaurant was closed. 'Bar closed at 11:00p. The picture shown as an outdoor deck--never saw it, never knew about it, no one ever suggested it. There are no real NYC delicatessens nearby. Very nice front desk and concierge but they didn't have much to work with. Definitely would not recommend.
- 4/5
The room was clean the bathroom was super spacious and the gym was nice.
- 4/5
All of the staff was friendly, helpful and attentive. The hotel was great and we enjoyed our stay. The only complaint I have is that the bath tub in the bathroom would fill with water that wasn’t clear and didn’t look clean but the shower and sinks were fine, so it may have been the tub since there were jets in it. Otherwise we are happy with the hotel overall.

- 5/5
The Omni is very well situated for visiting the theater district, Central Park and upscale shopping. The subway is very close as well. The room we had was very spacious especially for NYC. The restaurant had a nice breakfast menu and was very good.
- 5/5
Was very happy with our experience. Very ice and helpful staff.
- 4/5
No coffee or fridge in the room and you have to call room service to get water (no bottle provided in room and NYC tap water is not preferable for drinking).
- 4/5
Very good
- 4/5
It was very clean and a nice location. The sitting area never cooled down with the temperature in the bedroom. Through no fault of the hotel the alarm clock went off at 6 am. Luckily I was already awake.
- 2/5
location Room service was poor - food never arrived one night Room did not have a fridge - requested one and was told none were available. The service brought a fill ice bucket but then removed it the next day with the items we put in it. We pre-paid for our stay and then Omni charged for the entire stay without informing us or providing a receipt. Now we are waiting for reimb.

Clean room, tub was a bit outdated and stained, I hope they renovate to glass showers in the future. Beautiful property and very very kind staff. I will return in the future.

The rooms at the Omni are larger than most in NYC. My room was also very quiet. The bed was very comfortable, strong water pressure in the shower and really nice towels.

It’s not the first time we are staying here but we love it every time! The king had suit was very convenient.

Location , that’s all . Very outdated . Even Elevator buttons were stuck .

Great location and nice hotel with friendly efficient staff!
- 4.5/5
Localisation and good beds ! Good restaurant! The shower without self washing is incredible!! The room is good but a fridge in place would be good!
- 5/5
great location for shopping
- 5/5
The locations is fabulous with easy access to mid-town from Penn and Grand Central Station, and access to Madison & Fifth Ave buses to go up and downtown. Coffee is delivered to the room in the morning and breakfast and evening snacks in the bar were convenient.

Very good
- 5/5
Had a great stay. Close to all the best spots in NYC
- 5/5
The rooms were a decent size allowing good movement, with high ceilings making it feel bigger. Staff was very professional and answered all our questions. The tub didn’t drain that fast so water will accumulate if your shower takes a little long.

The bar food was great; the Sliders and Guacamole were delicious. Great customer service and ambiance.

clean, safe. great staff

The staff was available and friendly. They had candy and champagne on Easter. The room was a good size. The location was perfect to get to the Lego store, St. Patrick Cathedral and restaurants. Central park was not a far walk either. The crab house restaurant was not far to walk to. A great historic location. Breakfast is not included but was very good and reasonably priced.

Great location! This is where we always stay when we are in New York City!
- 1.5/5
One bathrobe in the room when we arrived was soiled: soiled with poop! This immediately concerned us about whether staff were actually replacing items between guests. Plus room had no heat first night (despite thermostat showing false info). We complained to front desk next morning, was told repairs would be made to heating system. Second night was marginally better but still too cold, system not working. Housekeeping inconsistent about supplying the proper number of towels/face cloths; there were only 2 of us in the room! Room temperature remained a problem for 5 nights. Repeat complaint to front desk resulted in us being moved to better room plus gave us a $100 voucher for breakfast, much appreciated. Room temperature was good. But shower the next morning was freezing, no hot water at all! Third complaint to front desk: we were told there was a problem with the "boiler" and that it was being fixed. But we should have been informed when the problem was known rather than subjecting us to ice cold shower. Finally the last night we were at Omni was appropriately heated. Thanks. But we were paying close to $500/night room+tax. We deserved much better. Front desk clerk was pleasant. But the hotel itself appeared to be in poor repair with inadequate communication among staff departments. Would not recommend Omni to friends who know we come to NYC every couple of years and do seek info from us when they make plans for NYC visit.

The property is centrally located. However, it’s beginning to show its age, and its furniture is showing where in tear. The staff were great to work with and very helpful and answering my questions.

Really great location, 5th avenue 100m away, Time Square also really near. Big room, nice staff The room was not clean! There was old chinese food in the fridge from other people, hair from other guests. And the head of the bed looked disgusting tbh. There was still water in the bathtub also with hair

The room was very comfortable and spacious. We had our 10 year old granddaughter with us, and we had plenty of space in the two rooms of the suite and the bath. They brought coffee service up for us at our request, which was very nice. The room was quiet. Location was perfect and the staff, particularly bell staff, were so nice. The building is historical, so that is nice, but the hotel is a bit dated. The breakfast area is fine, the food was good, but it is not too visually appealing.
- 3/5
While the staff was nice and the location is good, the Omni chooses to miss the mark in some - what seem to me - easy to fix areas. Our first impression was a headboard that was so scratched that it's faux leather actually peeled onto us. When you are getting into a bed, it's disconcerting to think of all the people that have been there before you scratching the faux leather headboard to the point that it looks like an angry cat had its way with it. And no plugs anywhere to dry your hair in the bathroom make an already small room feel like a dorm room for husband and wife. Water cooler looks pretty near elevators but it was never refilled so we never got any. Time to invest in a bottle filler Omni....

Location The bar needs to stay open later ......
- 4/5
Lovely location. Very helpful staff.
- 3/5
Cons: staff are unfriendly and appear bothered if you ask a question (minus doorman, who is rightfully Instagram famous), rooms were unimpressive and was sloppily made upon arrival. Final fake: if you won't be in the hotel much and want to enjoy all the NYC sites by foot, I would recommend.
- 4/5
The room was great, the location makes it walkable for most activities or needs that I have and the Team where all very kind and happy to respond to me questions or needs. I think that the restaurant and bar hours are not in tune with the needs or wishes of your guests. At a minimium, you should have the bar with a mini-bar menu available all day.
- 3.5/5
Location was the best. 5th Ave. close to st Patrick’s cathedral. Rooms are dated.
- 5/5
Ok
- 5/5
Everything went great!
- 5/5
The front desk staff greeted us warmly and made an accommodation to allow us to check out a little later in the day due to me running in the NYC Half Marathon and wanting to take a shower after. The doormen were welcoming, personable and helped us with obtaining taxis to our destinations. The room was large with a nice king bed (for NYC) and the bathroom was spacious with amazing shower pressure...it matters! The pillows could have been better. One was stiff but very thin and the other was fluffy but deflated with any pressure.
- 5/5
great
- 5/5
We love staying here hotel is clean , rooms are clean and so close to everything and the staff are amazing and we love Lenny.

Great location! Right outside of the crazy- but close to get to all the places! I would recommend if you are in town for theatre, Times Square, Central Park, the Arts- this is a great place!

Great location! Rooms could use some updating. But besides that our stay was great. We even had to come home early due to weather coming in and they reimbursed us for the night we canceled last minute.
- 5/5
Room was spacious (deluxe double) for 3 people. Near everything and close to a subway stop.
- 5/5
Everything is amazing, as always!
- 4/5
Room wasnt as clean as we expected considering the room was not cheap. Windows greasy. Cigarette buds on the balcony. Valet was very expensive and did not include in and out service. Other than that it was located in a great part of Manhattan but i would likely not stay here again.
- 5/5
Everything was wonderful! The staff was exceptional, very professional and nice. Hotel was beautiful and location is great, you can walk to all the midtown attractions like Rockefeller Center, Times Square etc. will definitely stay here again.

Our visit was Dec 21-26 and I already cannot wait to come back! I finally found a hotel I love everything about! Staff was excellent, location of hotel was great, rooms are spacious and very comfortable! Only complaint I had was it was difficult to get a hold of anyone for room service. I think hours and process are a little inconvenient. I will be booking here again for a hey week again in 2026!
- 5/5
Great location. Bar staff was awesome
- 5/5
Most spacious room we’ve had in NYC.
- 4/5
An Omni member so was provided a free welcome beverage. We unfortunately did not eat at the hotel. However you can have breakfast delivered to your room. There is a beautiful terrace and gym on the 17th floor. The linens and bed were extremely comfortable and the room was spacious. It is one block from Saks and St Patrick’s Cathedral and not far from Rockefeller Center.
- 5/5
Excellent staff service all through (especially in the Berks Bar), very clean room. We felt very well taken care off. Happy to have been here with my wife and kids.
- 5/5
Perfect location, large room for New York standards and super helpful staff. Will stay again!
- 5/5
We loved the Omni Berkshire!! Everything from check in to check out was outstanding! Every staff member was kind and helpful and the room was beautiful!! Can’t wait to come back!!!
- 5/5
The Omni Berkshire Place was conveniently located to all of the primary midtown sites. The staff was helpful and courteous and the rooms clean and of an adequate size for 2 persons.
- 5/5
Can’t beat the location, clean room, quick elevators, and roll away bed and extra towels were brought in very quickly after our request.
- 5/5
The room was spacious and clean . Loved being right off of 5th Ave & the doormen were so kind !
- 5/5
Management and staff were amazing to deal with. We had the FAO Schwartz themed suite and it was a hit with the kids. From the time of our arrival to our exit we enjoyed the premises. We waited about two hours for our car from the valet only to find out the lot they use forgot about us and the staff personally went to go get our car. Other than that I will definitely be an Omni member and stay there whenever I’m on NYC.
- 5/5
The Omni Berkshire continues to be a superb home base for visits to New York City. The staff is extremely warm and professional, and their knowledge of the city, and ability to answer any question is so impressive. It’s the highlight of my year!
- 5/5
The room was spotless and awesome!
- 5/5
We really enjoyed our stay here. The location was perfect, with easy access to major attractions (especially around the holidays). The staff were wonderful and quick to help with any questions. We especially appreciated Nate, who was incredibly helpful and welcoming from check-in to check-out and everything in between. We would definitely stay here again!

Beautiful, comfortable and large rooms
- 5/5
Internet wasnt great and we didnt eat food here. Was it included?
- 4/5
Clean rooms, nice hotel, nice staff and great location to stay to site see. Only couple complaints is there was miscommunication from bartender and host regarding the free drink voucher certificate that ended in frustration and the concierge department quoted me almost double for a private transportation from hotel to Newark airport compared to Uber. He also informed me cabs would not take us to the airport from hotel which was false per the outdoor man.
- 2/5
Rooms are hot needed to open the windows, a bunch of mess up with rooms.
- 5/5
Omni Berkshire Place is a great hotel in New York. The room was very clean and well maintained, which made the stay comfortable and relaxing. The location is extremely convenient, with easy access to major attractions, restaurants, and public transportation. Overall, it’s an excellent choice for anyone looking for comfort, cleanliness, and a prime location in the city.

Rooms were clean, but kinda outdated. Location is great. Front desk was super helpful. I booked through hotels.com but the reservation didn’t go through to the actual hotel. Nate at front desk was nice enough to get me a room anyway at the rate hotels.com quoted. Rate in general was expensive though cause it’s new York and it’s December but relative to everywhere else, it was good.

We had a wonderful stay! The room was clean, spacious, and had an incredible city view. The staff was friendly, welcoming, and very responsive. We ordered room service and were impressed—the food and coffee were a solid 10/10. I stayed with two children (one toddler and one teen), and the room worked perfectly for our family. I would absolutely stay here again.
- 5/5
very friendly staff
- 5/5
The hotel service and rooms were great the location was perfect!
- 5/5
Amazing!!
- 3/5
A/c in room didn’t work but thankfully the window opened, so I was able to get cool air. No minibar in room. Otherwise, it was very clean with plenty of space, a big comfy bed, lots of pillows and puffy comforter.
- 5/5
Phenomenal! Amazing staff and rooms! Highly recommend
- 5/5
Rooms need coffee machine and mini bar.
- 5/5
Rooms are clean, big enough and quiet. We were stay next to elevator, it was silent. Hotel is near by every where. Subway next to hotel. I'm satisfied.
- 5/5
excellent service
- 5/5
great location, awesome doormen
- 5/5
Excellent hotel, suite was beautiful and had a Christmas tree. Staff couldn’t do enough for us.
- 5/5
Jessica, at the front desk, was so very friendly and helpful. And there was a tall doorman Friday and Saturday night that was so very friendly and helpful to our family.
- 5/5
This property will likely be a fan favorite for my family and I. The staff was exceptional and it’s in the middle of everything. Thanks for the great experience Omni!
- 1/5
The first two rooms they gave us were not ready, had trash in one and the other looked like someone is still living there. The second set of rooms they gave us, one of them still had urine stain all over the toilet. Just disgusting. The Wi-Fi did not work, could not connect to the tv for chromecast after spending close to 2 hours on the phone with tech support. Then the cherry on top, the elevator had an issue and had this constant ringing noise like alarm bells at your middle school, up til about 11:45 pm at night.
- 4/5
The hotel was in a great location. The room was clean but a bit outdated. The staff were nice and helpful
- 5/5
Staff was polite and friendly.
- 5/5
Clean room, great staff, just a block away from 5th avenue!
- 5/5

- 5/5
Great place! We came from Saratoga and parking was easy with valet, there’s a restaurant across the street, staff was very nice and the bell guys (think that’s what they’re called were awesome! Dinner was outgoing and loved the one waiter we had last night. Would come back again!!
- 4/5
The staff was extremely friendly and welcoming, although sometimes it took more than one phone call to get things done- extra towels, blankets, etc. The room was nice, but there were a few things that were odd- a place for a mini-friidge, but no fridge there, for one thing.
- 3/5
Great lcation
- 5/5
The breakfast was delicious and had a wonderful selection of options.
- 5/5
Great space in the room for a NY hotel but a great location too! Excellent servers in the restaurant as well as Lenny the doorman!

- 5/5
perfectplace to stay andget around town great location
- 5/5
The quiet room was amazing. The employees at the hotel are kind. We really enjoyed it!
- 5/5
The room was clean, comfortable bed and the staff attentive as usual
- 4/5
Room was ok, expected more after paying $100 for an upgrade, not impressed.
- 5/5
Excellent Service!!!
- 5/5
Room was clean, Nice size bathroom, and quiet. The hotel is in the perfect location for enjoying 5th Ave activities! Thank you!
- 4/5
The service was excellent, the bed was comfortable, the room was clean but there is no coffee, tea, minibar or food amenities in the room at all. For the expensive price, it's shocking there isn't more to make you feel more at home. They do offer a free drink but don't tell you there is nothing in the room.
- 4/5
Great location
- 5/5
Excellent location, friendly staff, upscale & clean property!
- 5/5
Excellent location, rooms, customer service, and amenities. Will definitely stay here again.
- 5/5
Great hotel in midtown. Had everything we needed for marathon weekend - large suite, friendly staff, and complimentary coffee in the morning goes a long way. Would recommend to anyone - the price was totally reasonable too for what we got.
- 5/5
Great staff, clean room and they handled a minor issue promptly with the room
- 5/5
The room was quiet clean and the staff was amazing Great bar and friendly servers
- 1/5
Check in was reasonable, but as promised from the manager, not every room has a refrigerator for medicine, which is what I was told. I asked for a refrigerator and it didn’t come for three hours. The electronic key card to access the elevator just doesn’t work well I and other guests had to go up and down in the elevator three times just to get to the floor. Also, how is it that the $600 a night hotel room does not have an electric outlet in the bathroom. Ridiculous underwhelmed.
- 4/5
- 3/5
Just not very customer oriented. The desk person who greeted me upon arrival didn't actually do so. He just stared at me with a smirk until I said, "I'd like to check in." The room was ordinary, although without a refrigerator. However, it really doesn’t matter because the only access to even a Diet Coke is through room service. One cost $14. Of the two concierges on duty, the woman was great. The man looked like he hated to be bothered. However, none of that is a surprise since the concierge desk is tucked away like they hope you don't find it.
- 4/5
Staff were wonderful from the doormen to the concierge and reception everything went smoothly
- 5/5
We loved it. Clean and great staff. Great location
- 5/5
Great location, great hotel, nice staff right from the doorman to the front desk. This is our favorite NY hotel and a good price.

- 5/5
Lovely hotel- well staffed with friendly and courteous people. Clean rooms with very comfortable beds, pillows, linens, decent sized bathroom with very clean shower/ tub. Rooms and area were quiet.
- 3/5
Some of staff were rude. We requested coffee pot for room. The staff never cleared used mugs . We had to call everyday to get clean mugs and more coffee. Did not like there was not a top sheet on beds.
- 4/5
I wish the hotel had complimentary coffee in each room. Or even in the hallway or downstairs.
- 5/5
Everything about this hotel is 5 star!
- 5/5
We love our stay! The place is really clean and comfortable. We appreciate the kindness of the staff, most especially Mr. Lenny the Doorman. He is really friendly and respectful to all the guests.
- 5/5
Always love my stays at the Omni. Rooms are very comfortable, very clean and quiet. This hotel is in a great location for my business in NYC. The concierge gave me great recommendations for restaurants, especially breakfast bagels. Thanks!
- 4/5
Nice sized rooms for NYC, clean updated bathroom, good shower, comfortable bed
- 4/5
Room was clean, mattress was brutal. They need to be replaced. Other than that, it was a great stay.
- 4/5
hotel & concierge was super nice & helpful!
- 4/5
It was a decent place to stay in order to be close to the broadway shows, time square and shopping. The hotel carpet did not look clean and the staff were not very helpful, with the exception of the bellman, who was amazing!
- 5/5
This hotel was the perfect area for our family with small children. It was walkable and near multiple metro stations making travel to different areas very easy. It was near enough to Times Square, Rockefeller Center, and Broadway shows that we were always near enough to the action without being in a super noisy area. The hotel itself is very nice and even had a bathtub for the kids— a must after 20,000 step days.
- 4/5
Lovely hotel. Would have liked shelf space for clothing and coffee/tea in the room.
- 4/5
Dated since my last visit here 5 years ago, but still enjoyed the comfy beds and great location!
- 5/5
Good Nice property
- 5/5
The staff go out of their way to make you feel at home
- 5/5
Great service and location
- 5/5
Good place
- 5/5
We loved our stay here. From the moment we arrived, everything went smoothly. The staff are so kind, the hotel so clean and in an excellent location. I loved having coffee delivered to my room each morning. It all felt like a true vacation.
- 4/5
Good location!
- 5/5
Beautiful clean room, staff extremely friendly and knowledgeable.
- 3/5
For an upscale hotel, it has seen better days. Internet was terrible, toilet flush sluggish and other signs of wear. It’s a shame because used to really like the hotel, staff, cleanliness and location great but disappointing stay this time.
- 5/5
Staff are amazing
- 5/5
Property was walking distance to Radio City Music Hall. Room was clean, staff courteous. No refrigerator in room, or coffee maker. Coffee maker upon request.

Location
- 5/5
Very good location with a nice restaurant or more close by. Easy to get uber for musical. I really liked it!
- 5/5
Clean and comfy room, amazing staff and the best location in New York! Highly recommended!!
- 5/5
Great property overall. Staff was excellent. Our room close to the elevator was a little noisy at night. And for a family in a suite it would be great to have curtains on the glass doors for more privacy for male and female family members. Otherwise everything was great.
- 3/5
But the photos of the furniture on the balcony is not at all what you get. You get 2 metal chairs and a metal table. There was a also a planter with nothing in it but dead weeds. So that was pretty disappointing. There are only 4 balconies that I could see - how hard could it be to make them nicer? Finally, there was a place for a mini refrigerator but no fridge in room. If you wanted bottled water, you had to walk 2 blocks to get it. I love walking... just not at midnight. The front desk person was ridiculously dismissive when I asked about it. I could call room service but his words - "a lot of people are thirsty this time of night so I couldn't even begin to guess how long it would take for room service to deliver". Yay. Gotta love that kind of customer service ......:( Just kind of crazy that they don't have an essential like bottled water easily available for purchase for people staying the hotel. That encounter did change my impression of the hotel.
- 5/5
We had a pleasant stay. The restaurant at the property was tasty and the location is conveniently located to upscale shopping .
- 5/5
Love the omni
- 5/5
friendly
- 5/5
The Omni Berkshire is a beautiful hotel and perfectly located for our visit to Radio City Music Hall. The staff was friendly and helpful and the rooms were very nice and very comfortable. I will stay there again when I return to NYC.
- 5/5
Nice place to go, clean.
- 5/5
Great location and they were able to get us checked in very early on Saturday. Doormen and concierge very helpful
- 5/5
Perfect location. Nice and friendly staff. Great sized rooms and great renovation
- 5/5
Great stay. Shout to Thomas at berks bar who made our trip amazing
- 4/5
The lotion and hair soap, conditioner needs an upgrade. Also towels need to be replaced. The staff was excellent and the mattress was fabulous. You do hear a lot of police sirens at night but that’s not their fault. The location is perfect.
- 5/5
Nice stay. Provided early room access and upgrades for a reasonable fee. Front desk staff was very friendly
- 5/5
Great! Staff is friendly and polite. Very helpful
- 5/5
Everyone made you feel so special. The bed and pillows were so comfortable. The location is great. I would stay here every time I come to NY NOW
- 4/5
many attractions. Close to a subway station. The rooms were nice a little outdated. Very uncomfortable pillows. We only used housekeeping for one day and they did not throw out our empty water bottles. We had a Kierig coffee maker never brought clean mugs or paper cups or new coffee pods. The concierge Mary was extremely helpful and so kind!
- 3/5
Room had odor, smelled old and a little like smoke. No coffee maker or frig. Can order coffee maker from room service but it took awhile and they only bring enough coffee for 2 cups at a time. Big rooms and black out curtains were a plus
- 4/5
Gave housekeeping 5 hours to make up the room and they didn’t. Bedding was damp for the whole stay, had to request water first night and didn’t receive any more for the balance of the stay
- 1/5
Not worth the money
- 5/5
Great location and comfortable rooms.
- 5/5
Our go-to hotel in Manhattan! Never disappoints!
- 5/5
Great location for our family of four. Not too noisy at night. Easy walk to Rockefeller Center and close to the E subway. Walkable to Central Park and other attractions. Staff was helpful. The kids enjoyed the ping pong in the lobby area as well. Would recommend this location!
- 5/5
Amazing hotel stay!!! Staff was super helpful and friendly and coffee at our door every morning! Location was perfect
- 5/5
Stayed there twice, each time in a different room. The staff makes this amazing place even more amazing. Everyone is extremely friendly and professional
- 5/5
Great hotel at every level
- 5/5
The valet parking guys taking to long to bring the cars
- 4/5
Close to what we want. St. Patrick’s Cathedral, NFL store & more. Left luggage in storage while off to Freedom Tower tour. Unfortunately a $400+ bill w/$35 fee for “destination “ charge! Ridiculous. Not staying there anymore.
- 4/5
Perfect location to walk to several of the iconic midtown NYC landmarks or to hop on the train. But there were $160 in "Destination" charges and taxes even though I paid in full through Expedia prior to the stay.
- 5/5
Very convenient location. Friendly staff. Bathroom dates but comfortable and spacious
- 5/5
The place was perfect for my needs. However , on the third day of my stay my room was barely clean, cup left dirty, room not refreshed.
- 5/5
Great value for the money
- 5/5
But the room conditions where poor, bed headboard broken, around the bed was dirty
- 4/5
Rooms with good space
- 5/5
Excellent
- 5/5
This stay was very nice. Staff were amazing and helpful. Valet parking was smooth and easy. The hotel room was large and very clean. We requested a refrigerator and had one in our room when we arrived. Room was quiet and beds comfortable. Would definitely recommend.
- 4/5
This is an excellent hotel with amazing staff, outstanding service, and a prime location. My only concern was the condition of some room furnishings: the backboard of the bed had a tear in the leather and the rugs looked somewhat worn. For a boutique hotel of this quality, a bit more attention to upkeep would make the stay truly flawless.
- 3/5
Courteous staff
- 1/5
No water, no
- 3/5
The Omni Berkshire is in a good location, busy and walkable. A big plus was that we found street parking across from the hotel’s entrance. We stayed at this hotel because we were attending the US Open. The lobby had a tennis theme (outfitted with table tennis) so that was a nice touch. As for our room, I prefer a lower floor which we had, but no view whatsoever. Well, a view of the adjoining building about 25’ away. Didn’t know if that was because we booked through a third party. Anyway, the room was attractive and spotless. However, we were very disappointed to learn that the room didn’t have a mini fridge. The front desk informed us that one had to be requested ahead of time. A tad unusually when you’re paying that much for a room in NYC. And btw, no coffee maker either! Also,I was so excited to check out the 17th floor roof deck and the view. Turns out it was about five chairs squeezed into a very narrow, very short space. It think it was about 10-ish on a Saturday night and we could not access it. In closing, we probably would not stay there again unless we got an incredible rate.
- 5/5
Great experience! My 3rd time staying here!
- 5/5
So thrilled to be in a classic hotel, with all the amenities and services like grand hotels used to be. Will stay here every chance I get.
- 5/5
Wonderful stay all around!
- 5/5
Very clean, quiet, safe
- 5/5
Beautiful, spacious room and courteous staff made us feel very welcome. Will definitely book again.
- 5/5
Good clean stay!
- 5/5
My wife and I love staying at this property when we’re in New York. Once we found it, we honestly haven’t stayed anywhere else.
- 3/5
Property is very dated and no frills. It’s adequate given the location but nothing exciting about it.
- 4/5
The stay was fine—it was nice to be in mid-town as we were close to so many coffee shops that we love, Central Park, etc. The suite we stayed in was enough room for the 4 of us. However, when we opened the pull out couch the sheets were dirty (and the carpet had some dirt/things on it as well). Eveyone was really nice and despite having to ask for clean sheets and making the couch bed, it actually was really comfortable.
- 5/5
Super responsive and courteous service.
- 5/5
Location is amazing. Hotel lobby is beautiful. Staff was friendly and receptive. Would definitely recommend this hotel!
- 5/5
We had a comfy stay!
- 4/5
The rooms are nice great location, walking area not far from Time Square.
- 5/5
Love the location and the service. Staff was great!
- 5/5
Wonderful experience. Clean, staff was very accommodating.
- 5/5
Great hotel, great location
- 5/5
Excellent location, clean and comfortable rooms (spacious for NYC) and the staff is very friendly and helpful
- 5/5
Loved the property. Clean and good sized rooms with great service.
- 5/5
Great!
- 5/5
very good area .
- 5/5
Lovely time, great location!
- 5/5
We stay at the property every time we’re in nyc - the location is unbeatable and the staff is awesome!
- 4/5
restaurant was not up to omni standards. seating was bad. food was good.
- 5/5
Hotel is great, but looks like it’s not been updated in 20 years!
- 5/5
This is a hidden gem in Manhattan. Comparable price to hotels in Times Square but much better location and a classy, beautiful boutique hotel. Staff were great, location is amazing, a block from MoMA, around the corner from St Patrick’s Cathedral and so close to Central Park. Highly recommend
- 4/5
Coffee should be offered in morning. Would help to have a refrigerator for waters and medicines. The decor has gotten tired in guest rooms. Rugs in rooms and hallways do not looked they were cleaned during closure. My headboard was peeling.
- 5/5
All was good.
- 2/5
Don’t meet the 4-star expectation
- 3/5
Limited dining,no room service during morning and no room service late at night.other than that room very clean.Bathroom need renovation as toilet are outdated and low to ground. Staff very professional and trys to accommodate you.
- 5/5
From the moment we arrived the staff was welcoming and went out of their way to make sure we had everything we needed. The room was fantastic, the amenities were fantastic. Can’t wait to stay again in January
- 5/5
A reliable, comfortable, and convenient hotel in Manhattan. This is our third stay and we will be back.
- 5/5
Great location - courteous staff.
- 5/5
Always love staying at this property , Classy smaller hotel that is in an incredible location.
- 4/5
We really enjoyed our stay at the Omni Berkshire Place. The location was great. The room was a bit dated, the double beds were full sized at best, and the beds were ridiculously hard. Annoying that you have to ask for a fridge and that there is no coffee maker (instead they bring coffee to you when you call in the AM after you join their little club).
- 3/5
Found mold in my pillow…gross!
- 4/5
Lovely stay! Great location and super friendly staff. Surprise tiki bar downstairs adjacent to the hotel. Wish the beds had been a bit larger but overall the stay was wonderful.
- 5/5
Amazing! Room was beautiful. Hotel was beautiful
- 4/5
I have stayed here many times. This time the room and bathroom were not well cleaned. The ice bucket bag was never changed nor the water thrown out. The pillows are ridiculous—there’s nothing left in them. I am disappointed.
- 5/5
There was a booking issue with the second room, so our family was not able to stay together on the first night. We were in separated rooms. However, the management did their best at making it up to us with a welcome treat, and also gave us a really good late checkout to line up their flight. Overall worked out good, thanks to Hector and staff
- 5/5
Friendly staff. great location
- 4/5
Staff were attentive and great location but room has wear- headboard leather cracking, closet door tarnished and carpet had waves.
- 5/5
Overall good
- 5/5
Amazing staff, great restaurant and comfortable large rooms
- 1/5
The gentleman who did my check in was unnecessarily rude. This is the first time that a staff member is rude to me.
- 4/5
The omni was elegant hotel, staff very helpful but waiting for refrigerator was slow.should be provided in room without waiting. Room service was limited or didn't offer 24/7 which was inconvenient, if you were hungry you had to go out looking for restaurant.
- 5/5
Housekeeper and doormen were amazing. The location was very convenient and perfect for the first time in NYC. Checking in and out were smooth and easy. Will definitely stay at this hotel again.
- 2/5
Not happy with room. Very small and cramped. Bathroom was a big dirty and outdated.
- 4/5
I like the Omni brand, and I find the cleaners quite friendly and eager to please. I was promised a refrigerator for my room, but it was never delivered. The front desk person was able to get me a room on the 20th floor, but the room was a bit musty.
- 5/5
Lenny the Bellman!
- 5/5
Loved the location and the staff very helpful.
- 5/5
Hotel is always top tier providing excellent service!
- 5/5
Great staff
