Reviews
The hotel receives mixed reviews with guests appreciating its convenient location and friendly staff, but expressing dissatisfaction with the cleanliness, outdated facilities, and overpricing. Many guests report issues with the shower water temperature and pressure, as well as the presence of pests such as roaches and rats. The rooms are described as small, dingy, and in need of renovation, with some guests mentioning damaged furniture and dirty surfaces.
- Convenient location
- Friendly staff
- Lack of cleanliness
- Outdated facilities and need for renovation
- 5/5
Great location and amenities were all as expected for a budget. Staff was friendly and helpful. We had a small issue but it was resolved quickly. No complaints and would recommend to others!

Really bad hotel
- 4/5
Great location - right around the corner from 96th St subway station - no. 2 express train to Times Square - good for a lower priced hotel - decent lobby - elevator was very warm and carpets show a lot of wear - window air conditioner worked well with 90 degrees outside but it is the typical window AC noise - great walk in shower. Basic room, dorm-size fridge, 2 free water bottle - No pictures on walls and clear plastic chair at the small desk. But it’s a lower price hotel
- 5/5
Property is in a great location, close to the subway (across the street) and numerous restaurants. Less touristy than Times Square with better food options. Room was for NYC good sized.
- 5/5
Just had an issue with the hot water in the room, but staff sent out someone to fix it. Thank you!
- 5/5
Great hotel with amazing staff!
- 4/5
Clean room nice staff food air condition shower system was kinda weak but it worked
- 4/5
Air conditioning was great. Bathroom clean. Staff helpful
- 4/5
The window AC was noisy but other than that, it was a nice stay in a nice location that worked well for me.
- 5/5
Great stay overall and good service
- 2/5
When we got there, toilet was not working! We had to wait for them to fix it

Air conditioning was ice cold! Perfect accommodations on the upper west side if you prefer a little quieter than the hustle and bustle of midtown.

Clean room and good AC.
- 4/5
Although the staff ran into some technical difficulties with the credit card reader, and the elevators are a bit small and claustrophobic, the staff was clearly dedicated to helping their customers check in and have a relaxing stay. I'd recommend this hotel to travelers looking to stay on the Upper West Side of Manhattan, or looking to see a Broadway show and stay overnight in the city.
- 4/5
Staff was very professional and helpful. The hot water did run out though :( But staff were helpful to fix it quickly.
- 4/5
It is an old fashioned building and hotel, but Our room was so clean. It was fully equipped with everything you might need, the air conditioning worked perfectly, and although the window couldn’t be opened and faced an inner wall, it was completely fine for me, because in New York you’re not sitting around in your hotel room anyway. It is 1 minutes walk from the subway, which is really awsome
- 1/5
The property was in terrible condition, air conditioner stopped working in the middle of the night and staff did nothing to help. Elevators were dirty, and carpets were smelly.
- 3/5
I like that it is near the subway station. Room is spacious. But I suggest that guests need to bring their conditioner as they are not available or offered. Overall , it was good.
- 4/5
Very good location, right next to the subway, which made commuting extremely easy. Friendly staff, clean rooms, and comfortable beds. The rooms are a bit small, but they are well-maintained and have everything needed for a comfortable stay. Would definitely recommend.
- 4/5
Room was fine, small but not a shoebox; bathroom door was unable to be fully locked but since I was travelling with a close friend, we did not have an issue with it. Desk in room had outlets to charge phones/ computers, but we had a hard time using it. After adjusting the cables it did eventually work, but it took a while to fully charge. Quiet area, super close to central park which was so nice! Elevator is old and sort of slow.
- 4/5
Carpet was really old and dirty. Bathtub was clogged and hair everywhere. Bedding was comfortable.
- 1/5
On our first night we found mold and cockroaches in the bathroom. There was also a stain on one of the bedspreads when we arrived.
- 5/5
We will definitely stay here again. The location is very good. The rooms, while no frills, were clean with a comfortable bed. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. And the cost was very reasonable.
- 5/5
I just love it very much nice place
- 5/5
It was very nice, the beds were comfy.
- 3.5/5
Amazing location! Close to a lot of amenities and super conveniently near the metro. The hotel is not new but room size is decent and staff is helpful. Water bottles were provided daily, which was nice. The room we were allocated could do with a bot of refurbishment.
- 2/5
The A/C was a window unit that sounded like it was about to explode and took forever to cool the room. It’s not hard to make it a little better. The staff were nice though.
- 4/5
The AC in the room worked and was really cold. The room was clean and the bathroom too. Nice place just to rest heads and continue about ur day. Not realllyyy close to TMSQ walking distance for people who are new but IF the trains are running properly super easy to get there. Unfortunately when we went they were but ubers and taxis easily available.
- 4/5
Staff were wonderful, offering help whenever needed. Rooms were clean and maintained every day, beds comfy for my family of 4. Had trouble navigating to the ice machine on the 9th floor, but otherwise everything was fine. Close by to subway and plenty of food options. Made staying in the city much easier.
- 3/5
One elevator was broken so the wait time to go to the lobby reached 8 minutes during busy times (night/mornings). Our bathroom had a broken section out of the vanity, and the shower continuously switched back to running bath water. The blind was broken and wouldn't roll down. The TV didn't work, and the staff offered no recourse for fixing it. There also isn't daily housekeeping. The neighborhood is a little sketchy, with industry right beside the hotel. It's on a busy highway, so even though the water is right across the street, you can't get there without crossing 8 lanes of heavy traffic. Breakfast was available, but substandard. Considering prices of other hotels in New Haven, I still think it was worth it, but as my husband pointed out, you absolutely get what you pay for.
- 5/5
The thing that shined for me was the staff. Delightful and helpful staff. They were the highlight of the property. For the price, the place needs some renovation work. The carpets need to be replaced and the bathrooms need to well, be finished. The shower fixture still has a whole. The shower knob, if that’s what it is, needs to be replaced. It’s very old. The bed pillows could be an overall better quality.
- 4/5
The location is perfect. The staff were friendly. The room was nothing fancy, but comfortable. It would help to have better lighting in the elevators.
- 5/5
The best thing about this property is its excellent location. The subway is only about a one-minute walk away, and Central Park is around 10 minutes away. There are also many good coffee shops and restaurants nearby. Despite the convenient location, the prices in the area are quite reasonable. Overall, it was a very comfortable and convenient place to stay.
- 3/5
Room was a good size and clean. Facility itself is in need of a good deal of repairs. Big issue was no hot water for shower on both Saturday and Sunday at around 7:30 am.

Good location. Cleaning every day. Refill water and new towels every day. Everything is too old. A/C is loud and dirt filters. Carpets are full of dust and to fewer drawers for personal items, so I have nowhere to unpack my belongings.
- 3/5
sleep and go out..
- 4/5
The staff was very helpful and friendly. Price was great, had a two double bed room; beds were pretty comfy, AC worked great(it was 90 out). Rooms are pretty small and outdated but would definitely stay again for a one or two night stay!
- 5/5
Very great staff and amazing location
- 4.5/5
The room was cleaned. Well, every time I left out for the day came back. There were tons of fresh towels, and the bed was very comfortable. Nothing, everything was great.
- 4/5
Very good
- 3/5
The staff was great and really helpful but the room and hotel really wasn't what we were expecting. The suite had two window units as air conditioning and had some sketchy characters sleeping in the lobby.
- 4/5
A great deal for the location. Old hotel, decor looks worn, but everything was very clean and room was freshened up daily. It was nice to have the little fridge and coffee maker in the room (I used the hot water to make pour-overs with my own device). Just a block from the subway, lots of good food options nearby. Would stay again if traveling solo and not spending much time in the room (small and AC unit in room was a bit noisy, so not a romantic space).
- 3/5

- 3.5/5
Amazing location, great staff and really good sized room It's a very dated hotel, the air-conditioning had a horrible smell when on so we left it off and the room in general felt grungy

- 4.5/5
The location was good. My room was very clean. Although my room was clean, it had a stale odor. There was an accent light on my headboard that I could not turn off until the next day when I was given the remote.
- 3/5
Ok stay for the price. Didn’t have hot water the 1st night, zero bathroom counter space. Room was ok.
- 2/5
Disappointed. The toilet was running , I have to fix it after each flush. Reported , but wasn’t fixed . Water from shower dripping . Wall papers pealing . The rooms are clean , smells good , but need to be upgraded.
- 5/5
First of all: the location, location, location!!! Close to everything ‼️‼️‼️ Whether it is food, crime safety or amazing great sightseeing. Second: very friendly stuff, starting the first employees at the front desk up to the cleaning lady!!! Third: the quality of bedding, quality of bathroom supplies, yes, I am not joking, I was pleasantly surprised by everything in the bathroom, from the quality and whiteness of plenty of towels all the way of quantity of standard toiletries and specifically the smell of shampoo and body wash, don’t lough,it’s important to me… Overall, to be honest, for the price we paid for two days. It was a find!!! For those who wants to find a nice, convenient and not(!) overpriced place to stay and enjoy the city that “never sleeps”, go for this Night Hotel Broadway, you won’t regret 👍🥰

All good, as expected, no complains.
- 4/5
I find it quiet and clean and the staff is nice. If you get a room that hasn’t been updated, just focus on the clean bathroom, comfortable bed and peace & quiet. I find the rooms rather roomy for NYC as well.

Passable
- 2.5/5
One of the hotel's biggest advantages is its excellent location. It is conveniently located very close to the subway station, making it easy to travel around the city. There are also plenty of restaurants, cafés, and convenience stores nearby, providing guests with many dining and shopping options within walking distance. Although the staff did their best to keep the room clean and comfortable, the overall condition of the facilities was disappointing. The bed, mattress, and carpet appeared old and worn out, likely due to the age of the hotel. Only one elevator was operational during our stay, which caused inconvenience. The room did not have a mirror, and the bathroom design was problematic. There was no proper drainage on the floor, causing the washroom to remain wet most of the time. Additionally, the shower curtain was too small, allowing water to spill onto the bathroom floor after every use. While we appreciate the efforts of the housekeeping staff, the hotel would benefit greatly from renovations and upgrades to improve the guest experience.
- 2/5
Location on Upper West Side was convenient. The room looked a set from Law & Order where the prostitute is murdered—peeling wallpaper, burn marks in the carpet, scratched moldings and furniture and a bent towel rack in the bathroom. Worst hotel room I’ve seen in decades of travel!
- 3/5
Convenient with multiple restaurants and close transportation. Hotel however is outdated.
- 2/5
Staff was pleasant. Room was cleaned and bed made, towels refreshed. Staff at front doors were extremely friendly and helpful. Probably won’t come back. Elevators and cold water were biggest concerns.
- 4/5
Great Location. Helpful staff.
- 4/5
The room was clean, simple and comfortable. Staff were all friendly, attentive and helpful. I will definitely be staying here again. A great value in the upper west side.
- 4/5
Wish there was a fridge in the room and a little more updated however the location was excellent. The garage where we stored our car for the weekend was a block away and the subway was right outside our hotel. Highly recommend.
- 4/5
Good location 12 min to Times Sq. By metro.
- 3/5
Pleasant
- 3/5
Great location and excellent value-for-money accommodation. The staff were very polite, friendly, and helpful. The room could benefit from some renovation; however, I understand that this would likely increase the cost, which may not suit travellers on a constrained budget. Overall, I had a very pleasant stay and would definitely choose this accommodation again.
- 5/5
The staff was always nice and helpful. They allowed us to check on early which we really appreciated. It is very basic but had a coffee maker, fridge, safe and two exceptionally comfortable queen sized beds. Bathtub had no drainstopper. Interior of room non fecoratve. Safe neighborhood with convenient shops and small restaurants. Good value for the money.
- 4/5
The air conditioning was good and the street parking was not difficult plus I had a choice of garages to pay for parking if I had chosen to do so. There was no refrigerator or microwave in the room . The bathroom was clean and the shower worked well.
- 5/5
Good
- 4/5
Besides the elevators not working the whole time. Good stay.!
- 5/5
The staff was excellent but the rooms and bathrooms definitely need to be upgraded.
- 3/5
Hotel was affordable, clean, and in a safe location. I will stay there again.
- 4/5
Nice location, close to the Park. The Lobby is attractive.
- 3/5
Their staff answering the phones do not seem to be very motivated to be helpful.
- 3/5
It’s an old outdated hotel. When you open the door even make a squicky noise. Staff are average. It’s a window AC which is loud and literally next to the bed.
- 5/5
Great staff, Loved the accommodation, very accessible to subways, and dining nearby, cute cafes, and convenient location to commute between different parts in NYC
- 5/5
I loved it, very clean, excellent customer service Everything was well arranged and the bed was super comfortable. thank you very much
- 4/5
This hotel was as expected per the reviews I read. The location was good for us as we needed to be near Columbia University. The subway stop was 2 blocks away and let us out right at the school, which was our main goal. Cost was good and that was our other main goal. So we were pleased with our stay for our purposes. It's definitely outdated, not sparkling clean (clean bedding and clean enough bathroom), and the staff can be difficult to get help from. If you are staying for a no frills trip for a few nights and are looking for location for a reasonable price and don't have super high standards, you will be satisfied with your stay. Just be realistic about what you are getting for this price. We had 2 full sized bed, decent air conditioning, clean sheets. Our room may have been nicer than some others as I booked this reservation 5 months in advance. I would stay here again for the same reasons that I stayed this time... location and cost. It was good enough for me for a few nights.
- 4/5
Rooms were clean, air conditioning was working well all the time. Any special requests made are fulfilled to the best of their ability. Special tribute to the staff from the front desk to the maintenance and cleaning to high standards.
- 1/5
Dirty, not modern, unhelpful staff. Do not book.
- 4/5
The only thing I like about this hotel is the old fashion lobby and location.
- 2/5
The room was dirty and the carpet was broken
- 3/5
better welcoming front desk staff. door guards were very friendly
- 4/5
Decent hotel at affordable price.
- 5/5
Very safe, clean, quiet space in walking distance of Central Park, great restaurants etc. We were happy we chose to stay there with our daughters. Would definitely stay again!
- 3/5
There was a distinct smell of mold in the room, and after two nights, I had to go to urgent care and have X-rays, which discovered that the upper section of the right lobe of my lung was filled with fluid. Often caused by mold exposure. I'm not on 4 different prescriptions. If you smell mold, ask for another room.
- 5/5
Clean and well situated.
- 5/5
Amazing except for the shower head
- 4/5
Overall, I would recommend it for the location and the surrounding neighborhood, especially since there are very few alternatives nearby. Just go in with realistic expectations about the age and condition of the building.
- 3/5
The stay was ok. It met the sleeping needs. The resort fee??? Not sure why since there arent any amenities.
- 3/5
The room they gave us was not very clean or painted. the bathroom fan didn't work and the bathroom window didn't open. It was not a comfortable bed either. One side had a metal bar down the side of the mattress.
- 5/5
I love it this my second time at this hotel
- 3/5
Fantastic location, which is truly what this spot has going for it. The room was serviceable, but dated. My biggest issue is while there is an elevator, it’s an old building and my mobility aid didn’t fit through the elevator door without being collapsed a bit. I’m not sure someone using an adult-sized wheelchair would have the accessibility needed at this hotel.
- 4/5
The staff was friendly and helpful. The room was clean and the bed was moderately comfortable. It was record high temps and the air-conditioner was able to keep us cool in the room. The elevators are very small so keep that in mind. Could definitely fit a WC but probably only one other person at a time. Staff provided us with extra towels, water and coffee promptly if we asked. My only complaint really was the shower. I can appreciate good water pressure but it was almost too much, like a power washer. There were 3 adults staying and waiting an hour between showers. The water on the last shower was ice cold. Other than that I would definitely stay again
- 5/5
Old style vibe. Gatsby... close to subway on the upper west side and of course elantthig you might need 24,/7
- 2/5
The staff was helpful and friendly, but the hotel was very rundown. The carpets were aged, worn, and stained. The wallpaper was torn and faucets were pullling away from the bathroom wall.
- 1/5
The room was very small, as well as the bathroom. Needed a good cleaning. Very disappointed.
- 4/5
Effective air conditioning and overall clean housekeeping.
- 3/5
If you are looking for a home base while in NYC, the hotel is adequate if all you are doing is sleeping there. If you are looking for upscale amenities, may want to look elsewhere. Staff was friendly and helpful.
- 3/5
The lobby area is the best part of the hotel
- 5/5
Perfect place!
- 4/5
Not my first choice when choosing a place to stay but the reviews made it all worth it. The place was a little outdated but the staff made it that much more enjoyable. Checking in was a little longer than expected due to many quests comimg at the same time but the staff dealt with it in a great and timely manner and was supper helpful. Overall I would recommend staying here especially for the price, considering other places we're alot higher. Thanks again!
- 5/5
Under beds had not been cleaned for some time! No instructions for coffee maker. Lady at checkout was much more friendly and helpful, and if you don't mind the lack of vacuuming and going elsewhere for coffee, it's a great location and cheap.
- 5/5
The staff was incredibly friendly and very accommodating. Parking was not bad it was close by overall we really like the place and will come again
- 5/5
It is a nice size room for NY, clean and functional. We rented a room with two double beds (4 adults) and we all were comfortable. It is fairly quiet, the neighborhood is decent, subway is just 150 feet from the hotel door and it is a short walk to Central Park. Great restaurants in the area on Amsterdam Ave. Staff were very friendly and helpful and didn't mind keeping our suitcases on the last day after check out until we had to head to the airport. Will definitely book here again when I go to NY
- 5/5
This is an older hotel, in very good condition. The rooms are smaller than some modern hotels, but we loved it. The location, with the subway 100 feet away, is fantastic. I loved this hotel!
- 2/5
Wallpaper falling off walls. Bathroom was clean. Toilet paper roll falling off the wall and not functional. TV didn’t work if you were using the coffee pot. Room wasn’t cleaned until we asked. Amenities and parking were $20/day even if you didn’t use them. Unfortunate because it could have been a good stay in an older eclectic building. Staff was very nice when notified though- although they just said there was nothing they could do about it as we booked through hotels.com. Hotels.com should vet their places better and not book out trash.
- 3/5
Our room was certainly a room, but not much beyond that. Shower and was falling apart, WiFi was terrible, and no full sized mirror, but besides that it worked for what it needed to do. Staff was super friendly and helpful!
- 5/5
The hotel is close to everything, Central Park, or the train station was literally a minute walk away, whenever we arrived at night to the hotel it was clean and organized, they had housekeeping every day
- 5/5
Great stay. Nice room. Very clean and quiet. Very convenient for eating and having a drink. Would definitely stay again
- 3/5
Location convenient for my needs.
- 5/5
Good location and food price for NYC
- 4/5
I was expecting this hotel to be awful bc it was inexpensive but it was clean and much more spacious than regular nyc hotels. It’s olddd but excellent location!! I’d def stay again. It’s one of the least expensive options and so convenient
- 3/5
Room was clean and had added amenities such as razor, toothbrush, shaving cream, etc; but no microwave. Bare essentials as far as furniture.
- 4/5
The staff was very friendly and the room was clean. The building definitely shows some age, but they do a great job of making it comfortable
- 5/5
Under new management. Great friendly staff. Building is going through positive upgrades.
- 4/5
I call this a little gem on the upper west side. Is it outdated? Yes, but it’s clean, the location is great, and the staff is always friendly.
- 5/5
I was very happy with the cleanliness of the room and bathroom, size of the room and quietness of the room.
- 4/5
- 5/5
Good location, clean, but old space
- 5/5
Muchas gracias por todo el apoyo, la atención y la del colaborador Pedro quien facilitó mi comunicación en español así como la amabilidad de Milagros!! Excelentes personas y atención por parte de ellos.
- 5/5
We get what you pay for. Cheapest hotel in NYC but great staff.
- 4/5
The room way tiny, but that’s NYC. For the price it was perfect. It’s an older building, but the location was perfect and for the price I’d stay again!
- 1/5
They don’t has smart tv!! Just a regular Chanel so boring
- 4/5
I enjoyed my stay at Night Hotel. It’s not luxurious but for the affordability I found this to be a very suitable play to stay. The room was kept everyday, the bathroom was clean, the staff is very attentive and the area is nice and calm. It’s also conveniently located by the 1, 2, and 3 which made it easy to get back to. I recommend this place if you need a place to stay that isn’t too expensive but are not looking for a hostel.
- 5/5
Staff was amazing and incredibly accommodating and considerate. Clean and small room perfect for a tight budget. In a great location and easy to get to from the airport. Miracle was very nice. I would stay here again!

- 4/5
It was good for the price
- 4/5
We were happily surprised that our king bed room included a small refrigerator. Apparently this building houses rent-controlled tenants, and this fact created a situation in which a tenant asked us to move rooms during our stay.
- 3/5
As for the accommodations, the room looked a bit rundown and the bathroom was dated, though both were clean. However, the AC was quite loud, which made it hard to sleep at night. Additionally, the water pressure and temperature in the shower were inconsistent. Overall: It’s an okay place to sleep for a couple of nights if you prioritize location and service over modern amenities.
- 4/5
The room condition was pretty bad. Peeling paint on doors, threadbare carpet, super creaky floors that felt like my foot was going to go through one part, the door to the room wouldn’t close tightly and looked as if it had been kicked open. We were still able to lock it. No problems with the parking garage around the corner. Beds were comfortable. What the room condition lacked was made up by location though. We weren’t in NYC just to sit in our lodging. Super easy access to the subway- awesome location- friendly staff!

Unexpected and illegal $20 charge at checkin. No hot water.

I am writing to formally report an issue that occurred during my attempted check-in on May 3rd at approximately 9:15–9:20 PM. I initially arrived without a reservation and was advised by the night manager on duty to complete my booking online. At no point during this interaction was I informed of any restrictions, policies, or circumstances that would prevent me from being checked in after doing so. Relying on this guidance, I immediately made a reservation online and was charged $170. When I returned to the front desk, I was then denied service. I was also told that statements were made that I did not make, which added to the confusion and concern about how the situation was handled. Additionally, the interaction felt unprofessional and dismissive. As a result, I incurred a charge for a reservation that I was unable to use due to conflicting information provided by staff. I am requesting: 1. A full refund of the amount charged 2. A review of this incident, including staff conduct and communication practices I would appreciate a prompt response and resolution. Thank you.
- 4/5
The walls are a bit thin but good location
- 3/5
Staff was really attentive and helpful. No hooks for towels in the bathroom. Overall, room was perfect for our needs - clean, beds were comfortable. We were able to check in early and check out late. I would stay there again.

- 4/5
Lovely sized room. Staff very helpful. Room service every day with clean fresh towels. The only thing missing for me was a kettle to make a cup of tea although there was a coffee machine. The air conditioner worked well.
- 5/5
This is a great part of town to stay in -- less touristy, very quiet at night, just 1 block from a subway station that can get you wherever you need to go.
- 5/5
Excellent location near many public transport connections. Reasonable prices for a Manhattan hotel. A few blocks from Central Park. Showing slight signs of age here and there but you can’t beat the price and location!
- 5/5
Very nice and clean, the staff very nice!!!
- 5/5
My name is Melissa and it was amazing even the staff in the front she was amazing and I will go there again

Good location but poor quality hotel

Every thing is perfect I like it
- 5/5
We upgraded to the suite and had a fun time. Good uptown hotel for a short stay- close to Central Park and good food and subway stations.
- 4/5
It's at a great location and price can't be beat!
- 2/5
If you've ever seen Harlem Nights_this room and experience was a reenactment of the scene where Akeem and Semi request " meager accommodations". There were nicks, holes, cracks and patched spots all over the walls, the sink and tub were rusted and dusty, and the mattress sagged. To add to my annoyance there were two raging lunatics arguing on what had to be bullhorns, since I could hear their every word as if they were right outside my window at 3 AM (I was on the 5th floor!). In fairness, this hotel looked 'modest' in its depiction online. However... "it's a damn shame what they did to that dog."
- 4/5
Great staff. No hot water at 3AM.
- 3/5
Had a nice stay at this hotel. The room was clean and comfortable.
- 5/5
First of all, I have no words how helpful and welcoming the staff is. Everyone were so polite and helpful. Second thing, if you like and you miss old charm of the hotels back in a day (like I do) this is it. Would definitely consider staying with them again.
- 3/5
Air conditioner works but no heat at all, I had to sleep in my hoodie to stay warm. Parking is $45 a day for 24h and you have to walk about 7min to get there. One night would cost you $190.
- 5/5
Terrible management
- 1/5
The elevator was disgusting and smelled terrible. The room was full of hair and dirty clothing on sides and underneath the bed from previous people. The AC was loud and broken. The bathroom looked like someone kicked out the door from the inside out and the chips in the tub were rusted. All this forced us to leave at 3am when our 2 year old started coughing non stop from the poor air quality. ~ Semper Fi
- 3/5
The location was excellent. the room was good. the building is just old. But for an old building, it was adequate. Since the cost was relatively low, I did not have very high expectations. It was clean and functional - and that was what I was seeking.
- 3/5
Bien, la relación creció calidad para buscar un hotel muy accesible.
- 5/5
The staff are just so friendly and helpful. Big shout out to Miracle at the front desk. She was just so kind, pleasant and helpful. A fantastic person and real credit to the hotel.
- 3/5
The shower was unpredictable, no heat then no pressure mid shower with only drips coming out.
- 2/5
The room was small and had the bare necessities. However, at checking, I was told they charge $20 'amenities type' fee. Having no recourse, I paid. When using the sin & tub, the water had to run for over 20 minutes before there was som warm/hot water. The water fluctuated in temp while using it, so that was less than pleasant.
- 4/5
The parking deal with the next door garage is great! Area is safe and convenient. Besides small elevators (that need to be vacuumed), everything is worth the price. The employees are very nice and very helpful.
- 5/5
Nice hotel, well located near 96th street station. Comfy bed and good AC. Bathroom could have done with a little updating and blackout blinds in the room would be nicer than slat blinds, but otherwise everything was great and good value compared to most other Manhattan hotels! If you need to be on the upper west side this place is solid and reliable, and the staff were nice.
- 1/5
Not worth the price
- 5/5
Second time staying here and I was surprised at how well run it was for the price. Perfect for short stays
- 5/5
The room was very basic but very clean. There were even amenities in the bathroom. Air-conditioning worked great. The staff was very kind and attentive.
- 2/5
Room was musty. Wallpaper coming off.
- 4/5
Overall good facilities condition. Place is clean and staff is really friendly.
- 5/5
Great location with Close lots of great restaurants nearby. Older property, but very well maintained and very clean. Charming decor. A+ staff. If you’re not comfortable with tiny elevators, may be problematic.
- 5/5
Friendly staff. No frills spot but was a good location for our needs. Very close to the 1 and good coffee options very close as well.
- 3/5
Convenient, safe, great stafff
- 4/5
Centrally located. Room clean. Hotel quiet and staff is pleasant.
- 3/5
The heater didn't come until 6pm and temp outside all day was 47 degrees in NYC. My room was chilly and I wanted my room warmer before I took a shower. They bought me a room heater to plug in the wall. I thought was very odd and unusual. That's the only issue i had. The room was clean and comfortable bed. The carpet in elevator need cleaning or new elevator flooring.
- 3/5
This is overall a decent place to stay if you’re looking for an affordable hotel with the basic essentials. Nothing was great but nothing was awful. The location is good. The only issue I had was with the wall AC unit not adjusting the temperature. It got so hot! Also, there was a flickering light that was annoying while trying to sleep. It’s an old building, but nothing was abhorrently unsettling.
- 4/5
No coolers in the room
- 1/5
On checking in I was told to pay an extra $40! There was no prior notice of this! If it had not been so late I would have asked for all my money back that is almost another 30% extra!
- 3/5
👍
- 5/5
The room was clean and comfortable. The only disadvantage is that it lacked a fridge. Once in a while we heard sirens in the area. The hotel is closed to a train / subway station, two stations away from Times Square.
- 2/5
Stay itself was fine, staff not so great. My son had a bag of clothes in our room and housekeeping took it. My son has done everything he is supposed to do (contacting them, etc.) with no response. He wants his clothes back and if they are not going to give them back, then he should be compensated for them. I also tried to contact the hotel and no luck. I will dispute this on my credit card, as I don't see any other options.
- 2/5
The carpet floor in my room was so dirty my son’s knees turned black while playing on it. There was a wet spot on front of the bathroom and when I put a towel on it the towel Absorbed a nasty brown liquid. The staff is nice the area is cool but they REALLY don’t clean that well. My son is autistic so when he settled I was forced to stay my time but that was inexcusable for the amount I paid per night. I am extremely unsatisfied and feel like I over paid.
- 3/5
Go watch the film "The Night Porter" with Dirk Bogarde and Charlotte Rampling to get a feel.
- 5/5
Clean,
- 5/5
The parking is actually a block over, so be prepared to be paused in traffic to unload, or just park and walk your bags over when you check in. My only note is that our bed was comically loud and squeaky, you could adjust your leg or roll over and the whole thing would creak. My husband and I were on our honeymoon, and we cracked plenty of jokes about it, lol.
- 5/5
Easy access to subway
- 3/5
This hotel was nice. Only thing I booked a silver room and they gave me a gold room that was way smaller than I thought. But it was still comfortable.
- 5/5
Clean, pleasant, extremely convenient, well- located with an excellent and courteous staff.
- 3/5
It’s a good place and area to stay at. I would advise bringing any third party devices to change the input on the t.v’s because they actually don’t have their t.v’s set up to change the input on them.
- 5/5
Staff was really helpful. Room was clean. Bery nice stay overall.
- 2/5
Bathrooms not clean good they Cockroach
- 5/5
Good location and room
- 1/5
Cockroaches in the room left within an hour
- 5/5
When it comes to staying in a hotel in NYC, you look for comfort, easiness of mobility and great price. These three qualities you’ll get them at the Night Hotel Broadway. Beautiful staff, amazing rooms with comfy mattresses and wide bathrooms, great location to visit Upper Manhattan Museums like NY City Museum, El Barrio Museum, Metropolitan Museum, Hispanic Society and Met Cloisters; and Central Park Conservancy Gardens and the Harlem Meer. Everything at a walking distance from the hotel except The Hispanic Society and The Cloisters that you’ll have to take the 1 line from the corner of the hotel. It also offers a gym that operates from 5:30 to 10:30 pm. And you can leave your luggage before and after your check in and out. The area is never busy so you can take a yellow cab without the hassle of midtown.
- 5/5
Hotel was excellent place to stay very peaceful and quiet
- 4/5
Great location, staff. Generous size room with really comfortable beds. A little beat up but very clean. Could use a second desk and chair so two can work at once, and to have more surfaces to organize toiletries and clothes,
- 4/5
Overall enjoyable.
- 2/5
No water, poor customer service....beware. Check the water before you unpack your bags.
- 4/5
I have stayed here many times. It is clean, safe, well priced and very convenient to the 1, 2, 3 subway. Literally a few steps out the door.
- 5/5
Clean room, easy check in process
- 5/5
the front desk gentleman Dwight was great Very welcoming attentive efficient no complaints bc of him
- 5/5
Staff was courteous and helpful!
- 5/5
The gentleman that checked me in is great attentive and goes above and beyond
- 2/5
Unfriendly and rude staff, they seemed annoyed to be there. The carpet in the room was awfully dirty! get rid of it and leave the original wooden floors! Fridge in room looked like a garage sale item old and beat up and directly next to the bed, should be moved to under the desk. Elevator floor super dirty, how long would it take to vacuum such a small space? The handle bar in the elevator was hanging off one side for the 4 days we were there. Lobby fireplace did not work, come on! that would make the whole place so welcoming.
- 5/5
All was great
- 5/5
Clean room, great housekeeping service and great front desk service. Great location for my visit.
- 2/5
The room we were staying was dingy and dirty. The place needs some serious update. I definitely would not stay here again in the future. The staff were friendly, though.
- 5/5
Very nice and clean
- 1/5
Horrible room we have to go downstairs to request another room even when they change it the bathroom in the second room didn’t work. The first 2 times I booked the rooms they were good and lately I been notice that since they change the front desk personal they giving me and my boyfriend bad rooms and I don’t know if is because of racism.
- 1/5
Tried ro cancel room 2 weeks before arrival. Flights because of snow were cancelled. Called the property 5x and messaged them 11 times. Had expedia try to reach them and couldnt. Lack of courtesy response and will never book herreagain
- 4/5
The room was clean and nice, there was some damage to the carpet and I believe a desk was missing but it’s in a fantastic spot in the city and was a great price! The staff were all very kind and welcoming
- 2/5
The rooms are sketchy and outdated seemed more like a room in an old forgotten about house instead of a hotel room.
- 5/5
Yes, Nice and Clean
- 5/5
Was really clean
- 5/5
I love this hotel
- 2/5
Staff repeatedly woke me up hours before
- 2/5
Room wasnt cleaned and staff is eh
- 5/5
Close to the metro was nice, pleasant staff
- 3/5
Hope that helps
- 5/5
Room is small, but I was traveling alone and the room had a bed, desk, TV, and bathroom, which is all I needed. The location on the UWS is what really makes it. I'll never look for another hotel in NYC again.
- 3/5
The first room I had was on the seventh floor with a drafty window and baseboard heating that failed to warm the room. It was brutally cold outside, which exacerbated the situation. The front desk provided me with a space heater, which didn't help much, so the next morning I changed rooms. The staff were kind about trying to fix the problem.
- 3/5
The room was not heated properly and after bringing it to the attention of staff, the issue was not fully resolved to my satisfaction. This is my 5th year staying in this hotel and had been satisfied up until this point.
- 4/5
Standard . Normal
- 4/5
We had a pleasant stay at this hotel. It’s basic but very clean, and the location is excellent — close to the metro station and within easy reach of Central Park. What really stood out was the extremely helpful staff; whenever we requested something, it arrived at our room within minutes. A great choice if you’re looking for convenience, cleanliness, and attentive service.

very nice and helpful staff at the front desk.
- 4/5
Great
- 5/5
Very good!
- 3/5
The room smells moody
- 3/5
Overall this Hotel was a good choice for me. It ticked all of the boxes for cleanliness, convenience, bed comfort, and pleasant staff. My only criticisms are: the hot water took a long time to reach my floor (13th) and some of the furniture was a little tired.
- 1/5
Terrible
- 1/5
I was charged 60 dollars for property fees and a Dwight at the front desk was extremely rude.
- 5/5
Room was clean
- 3/5
This is a very old property. Travel with kids during snow storm, there were water leakage issues in the bathroom, tv not receiving signal. Rooms are old, What I appreciate is the service to fix was super quick. Good location overall, friendly staff.
- 4/5
The room was very clean & comfortable.
- 2/5
Missing bathroom tiles Wallpaper peeling in several spots Inoperable TV and telephone. Smell of smoke in the room. We requested a new room and upon entry to our new room, it was much better. The only issue with the new room was that the temperature in the shower was extremely hard to regulate. In addition, the staff was ok. Not overly friendly or welcoming. Very subpar.
- 1/5
Ac was loud the whole night, room was not in best condition, no amenities.
- 4/5
Room was clean and staff were professional and friendly.
- 5/5
Clean room, check in was easy
- 3/5
It was an average stay.
- 5/5
The desk staff was friendly and very helpful. Our room, especially the bathroom, was very clean. Daily housekeeping was nice. Very close to 96th st subway station.
- 3/5
Overall the rooms have everything you need a bed, shower and sink. Maybe not the prettiest but it’s not like you’re gonna be there all day. The area surrounding it is very nice, easy access to the subway and a bodega perfect for your morning coffee or late night cravings. I imagine returning to this hotel just based on the location.
- 4/5
For a budget motel on the UWS it's very nice. I was traveling solo so I had a very small room with a bed, desk, TV, and bathroom, and that's really all I needed. Location at 94th and Broadway was perfect for my purposes. Water pressure isn't great, and the TV signal crapped out on my 3rd night, but they sent someone promptly to try and fix it. Hence the four, not five star review, but I'd stay here again for sure.
- 4/5
Good stay Good Customer Service
- 3/5
No hot water in the morning.
- 1/5
This had hostel vibes more than a hotel vibe. Staff couldn't care less about interacting with guests. Room is extremely outdated and not very clean. The hallways smelled so strongly of Marijuana I had my child cover her face when walking them. Area outside of the hotel felt dirty and sketchy. I'm thankful we only stayed one night. Better for younger crowds that aren't expecting much.
- 5/5
A hidden gem! Wonderful friendly staff. Spacious. Super clean. Can't wait to stay again!
- 5/5
Clean room and is near train station.
- 5/5
Clean room, friendly staff
- 4/5
Yes the room was cleaned and mostly quiet. The stuff were very nice.
- 5/5
Great service they let us check in early 🙏🙏🙏
- 5/5
Our room was essential but clean and there was also bathroom products and kettle to drink something warm. It’s a good hotel to stay in the upper west side.
- 5/5
This hotel was a pleasant surprise. The room was small and a bit bare but clean and there was a coffee maker and lots of amenities in the bathroom. The bed was very comfortable.
- 5/5
Clean, spacious rooms. Very helpful staff.
- 5/5

- 5/5
Great location. Clean rooms. Courteous staff. Definitely a great price for Manhattan. Will stay again
- 4/5
Great staff, heater in room worked almost too well
- 3/5
Decor needs updating. Location, convenience and staff were all very good.
- 3/5
la alfombra del elevador esta bastante sucia; la habitacion estaba ok , la limpieza de la habitacion si estuvo buena
- 4/5
Room was small and old but clean, the bed sheets were clean and the bed comfortable. Stayed with my daughter (we shared the double bed) and we were good! Good location next to the subway as well. Would book again.
- 4/5
Older needs some updates but overall pretty good
- 5/5
My husband and I stayed Christmas week and the Room service was on point.. they came everyday to tidy and restock.. hotel is in close proximity to everything. Highly recommend
- 4/5
Very nice experience
- 2/5
One of the mattress was broken and the carpet should be removed.
- 3/5
Room was old. Paint chipping in bathroom. No heat, broken sink. Door latch was broken. Place is ok just to have sex and leave.
- 4/5
Staff was very courteous and helpful and room was very clean. You can tell that it is an older building and the plumbing wasn't perfect, but it was a very nice hotel. It was quiet and safe in the area. There were not many amenities. However, it was a comfortable room.
- 1/5
I understand not to have any luxury or anything because of the style, but at least a few decent co-hoones, that the names look clean and at least a few decent image. The HITEL is VERY well located, the LASTIAMA that they do not want to take advantage of it.
- 4/5
We were super happy with The Night hotel. I had read some older reviews and to be honest was a little nervous. Don’t pay attention to older reviews. The hotel is great. Completely safe and clean. It is in a great location, less than 5 minute walk to the 1 train and plenty of restaurants. I would highly recommend this hotel as an off the beaten path, easy economical place to stay! You won’t be sorry.
- 5/5
The room is clean Avery day and we got coffee tee and a lot of thing for shower.
- 5/5
Clean room. Quiet. Good shower pressure. Helpful staff.
- 5/5
Yes clean and staff very helpful
- 3/5
The staff was great , but it lacked microwave. They also did tell us about the parking. Could have told us a lot of things ahead of time , which was not explained to us.
- 5/5
Very pleasant hotel. Would stay again!
- 5/5
The area was firstly so convenient, safe and easily accessible for the train which is about 2 mins walk.. Staff was so humble and friendly. Lots of convenient places to eat, tmobile not too far way to get data etc. Stores like Marshalls, Burlington, Five Below etc not far away. You can walk to Central park which is not too far away. Definitely will be showing up here again in the near future.
- 4/5
Clean hotel with friendly, responsive staff. Much more affordable than options further downtown. Variety of dining options within a few blocks. Drugstore on the corner. Would book again.
- 3/5
The price for one night was ridiculous. Anywhere else you would pay $150-$200. For $400/night it is ridiculous.
- 5/5
Quiet, and restful sleep after busy days in the city. Our room was clean and the bathroom updated nicely.
- 1/5
Neglect. Mold terrible staff
- 2/5
Room- Bathroom wasn’t clean. Rusty mirror half hanging off wall.
- 3/5
The room appeared to be in old condition. Paint peeling off the walls in areas, the bed was comfortable, pretty small room for the price. No fridge to place left overs in from local restaurant meals .
- 5/5
It was good
- 5/5
Staff was great and everything was very nice, neat and clean!
- 5/5
Friendly staff, great location
- 2/5
The facilities are terrible. Take for example: The beds are collapsed. The bathroom ventilator does not work. The toilet paper holder can not hold the paper roll. All in all, very bad experience, especially considering such a high price.
- 4/5
Decent accommodations in a good location. I parked a couple blocks away in a garage. I had some minor plumbing trouble in my room but someone came to fix it within a few minutes. I would stay here again.
- 3/5
We had to change rooms the next day because the air conditioner was noisy all night
- 5/5
Room was clean. Staff was very pleasant and helpful.
- 5/5
This was a older hotel but it was clean, the beds were comfortable and the staff was very friendly! There was a subway right outside the door so transportation was so easy, just blocks from central park, several food places right outside the door as well as coffee shops. If you don't plan on staying in your room and want a place that doesn't break the bank that is comfortable and safe this is the place! Rooms are small there were 3 of us but I knew that going in so again it's a good place!
- 5/5
Very nice/safe area, good amenities
- 5/5
fire
- 5/5
Decent property for a home base in New York. Location is safe, close to the subway and easy to find. Rooms were quiet and air conditioning worked very well.
- 5/5
My favorite NYC hotel in the middle of everything
- 3/5
Room k
- 3/5
The staff was great and very friendly, however the rooms were very dated and the bronze rooms were in deteriorating conditions
- 4/5
Staff was courteous and welcoming. Price was affordable and location to central park was awesome.
- 5/5
Room was clean and comfortable. Staff was very friendly and helpful. A great place to stay on the UWS.
- 3/5
Holder could check in early and waited 3 hours was not ready by 3 like it said in the website, floor was soaked wet and no hot water. They did discount the bill 25% but would not stay there again.
- 5/5
Easy check in/check out. Perfect location if you need to be uptown. Two blocks from subway. Place is a little dated but heat hot water aplenty.
- 3/5
Hotel was great price and in a great area. The hotel could use an internal remodel but I’d stay there again regardless.
- 4/5
Room isn’t very nice but besides that, everything was fine
- 4/5
Our room was dated but clean and taken care of every single day. The staff were very nice and extremely helpful. The location was perfect for us and just steps from the subway.
- 4/5
A good place for a night. Nothing luxurious, but very acceptable.
- 5/5
Room was clean and the staff was on point. The location is perfect.
- 5/5
Very nice and clean.
- 2/5
Trying to be positive, the area is great and was convenient for our work trip, and we felt entirely safe. The room is also pretty spacious for NYC. It was clean, just run down, and the beds were comfortable enough, other than the cheap scratchy sheets. But it was really a pretty shabby room and a bad experience. Most significantly, there’s no control over the heat, and it was stifling hot at night. Tried turning on the AC (in December) but it was horribly noisy. The shower was mostly fine but each of us also had an ice cold shower on different days. The room door was messed up so we had to slam it to get it to close properly. Uncomfortable plastic desk chair and no armchair. No dressers or surfaces to unpack at all, and when we asked for a second luggage rack they said “we’ll try to find one” and that was the last we heard about it. The lights are kind of glaring, the carpets are sad, and I did kill a bug in the bathroom. There was a coffeemaker but they only ever left us one coffee pack for two people. And the resort fee is ridiculous- the only amenity was that they left us water bottles on the first and last day (not other days). My expectations were pretty low despite the cost, but we really barely slept with the heat in this room.
- 5/5
Was a little apprehensive after reviewing pictures and low price (relatively speaking). Yes, property is a little worse for wear but it was clean, beds were comfortable with daily housekeeping and was safe.
- 4/5
The location and price were perfect. The rooms were always cleaned and well put together. The only issue was the shower the water wasn't as hot as boiling potatoes like I am accustomed too and the shower knobs were off. However, I would happily stay again.
- 3/5
Friendly and attentive staff but the property needs updating. Water takes 7-8 minutes to get hot. Really old nasty carpet and tiny bathroom. Beds were comfy and convenient location.
- 3/5
Given all of that, we would most likely stay there again.
- 4/5
Quiet, basic room, good housekeeping
- 3/5
Staff is courteous and helpful. We had an issue with the hot water and someone came within 5 minutes after I called the front desk to fix it. Rooms are clean and the room service staff is very thorough. Hotel is extremely well situated right next to the subway and the upper west side is a great area (speaking as a former upper west sider!) Cons. Rooms could do with a serious upgrade. The blinds in my room were broken, the bathroom door had no hook to hang clothes or even the hand towel. The faucets in the tub were wonky and need to be changed out. Would have loved a mini fridge and a microwave. Overall would I stay here again? yes I would.
- 5/5
Clean rooms, easy check in & check out. Quiet and close to a subway!
- 4/5
People working at the hotel could not be nicer. Lovely, helpful happy group. Room was big/bathroom big compared to more expensive midtown hotels but it was very rundown. That would be my only issue recommending it to friends. Otherwise… everything else was great.
- 5/5
Yes
- 1/5
Old. Deteriorated furniture. Lukewarm wster.
- 5/5
Nice and clean, good price too. Friendly staff
- 3/5
Cleaner rooms and bathrooms, better sheets and pillows. Service didn’t change towels everyday. Water temperature was average at best; we never really got true hot water. Desk staff was helpful and friendly.
- 4/5
The room was clean, the price for the location good. The staff was very friendly
- 5/5
Very nice and vintage. Clean and quite witch is hard to find in NYC also I love how confusing the hallways are definitely was fun looking for the room with the wife lol love this place and will be one of my go to every time I’m around and I love the late checking with no problem at like 2 am five stars for sure and great staff
- 5/5
Good value hotel great location
- 5/5
The room was clean and quiet but a bit sparse on furniture. The staff was very helpful and very nice.
- 4/5
The room was clean and the staff was courteous.
- 3/5
Room had chipped paint, lacked a refrigerator, old furniture and drawers missing pull handles. lastly, hot water was intermittent.
- 5/5
Staff was very friendly
- 4/5
About average for NYC. But extremely close to our intended appointment, which was very good.
- 4/5
.
- 2/5
The heating didn't work; the room was very cold; and the hotel's solution was to simply put a space heater in the room.
- 1/5
it felt so dirty dont go
- 1/5
Super overpriced Just awful
- 4/5
Friendly staff, great kocation, comfy bed and pillows
- 5/5
Staff were wonderful, check in and check out or seamless and easy. They held our bags on the last day while we toured the city. Wi-Fi was great. Perfect area to walk Central Park or take the city bus downtown.
- 4/5
The room was very basic and in need of renovation but it was clean, reasonably priced and the staff friendly.
- 3/5
Staff was curtious and check in was quick. Bathroom sink leaked, tub would not hold water, and the toilet required constant work to get it to stop running. Housekeeping was efficient and good, bathrooms just need an overhaul.
- 5/5
yes
- 4/5
Clean room and bath, friendly staff, comfortable bed, well located. A bit run down (peeling paint) but solid value.
- 4/5
The room was clean and fixtures all worked. Also, the hotel was in a good location.
- 3/5
Heat was too high and we couldn’t control it. Room was needing updates and looked very tired.
- 5/5
Very clean rooms, beds lovely and fresh towels everyday ! Staff very helpful. Excellent position a few steps from No 1 Subway which only takes a few minutes to Central and Lower Manhattan.Several lovely Diners nearby on Broadway.
- 2/5
Glad to be able to check in early, however the room was tucked into a back stairwell and didn’t have heat so was less than comfortable.
- 2/5
Room was cold. Freezing air came through the sides of the windows. Also the room was very small with almost no room for suitcases on the floor
- 2/5
Staff was nice- however not worth the money we paid to stay here. Bathroom seemed like it had quite honestly not been cleaned in weeks and had what looked like termite damage on the bottom on the wood. We saw a couple of bugs in our room as well. Do yourself a favor and spend a couple extra hundred bucks to stay somewhere nicer!
- 1/5
small room , dirty carpets, the bathroom with the broken toilet seat.
- 1/5
Room looked like it hadn't been updated in 40 years. Toilet barely worked despite several requests for repair
- 4/5
Very nice even though a bit ‘tired’. As so often for NY the resort fee is rip off nonsense.
- 5/5
Great place
- 3/5
The room was very dated. Carpet was pulling. Door facing not air tight. Did not look like pictures. Morning staff was friendly. Evening staff not. Housekeeping did an amazing job.
- 5/5
Didnt have a car and everything was clean
- 1/5
Worst stay in NYC ever!
- 5/5
Everything was perfect just the shower doesn’t have a proper shower curtain and it floods the whole bathroom. It wasn’t a huge deal I think they just need a bigger curtain and also a liner plus a curtain not just a decorative curtain. Have a great time overall though!! :)
- 5/5
Loved this property. Great location and staff was very helpful and nice. No frills room but perfect for what I needed. Comfortable bed, clean, and quiet!
- 1/5
The room was falling apart in full of cockroaches. Other than that, the staff was very nice and helpful.
- 5/5
Yes
- 3/5
Great location, rooms are dated, bathrooms as well, but great staff, perfectly situated for subways, and reasonable dining.
- 4/5
This is a very servicable hotel. Nothing fancy, but clean, safe and the beds are comfortable. I prefer this uptown location as it is very convenient to great restaurants on Amsterdam, a drug store right downstairs, a liquor store across the street. What more do you need? No extras, but everything is fine. I stayed in a bronze room and heard that the gold rooms are nicer. No conditioner in the bathroom and the lobby is very dated. But they give you two bottles of water everyday. I would definitely stay there again (and probably will).
- 5/5
Clean room, responsive staff, excellent location.
- 3/5
Okay for a night but no longer.
- 5/5
Good option if you’re looking for somewhere to sleep and not too concerned about being uptown.
- 5/5
Location is great with metro and restaurants near by, and the staff were helpful when there was a room mess up that they quickly solved. Only things were that there was no fridge to put leftovers and the wood on the bathroom door was peeling. Other than that, a very nice stay.
- 5/5
Amazing service- great area!
- 3/5
Camas muy pequeñas, elevadores dan miedo están muy viejos

The Night Hotel was good for my 3-night stay. Be aware! - This is an old building. So the hotel is not fancy or glamorous. But the room, while a little run down, was very clean and quiet. I felt safe there. I used to live on the UWS and this neighborhood, 94th and B'way is fabulous. 2 blocks from the #1 subway; near restaurants, coffee shops and a drug store. Staff was polite and helpful. I would stay there again.
- 4/5
Clean , friendly staff
- 5/5
CLEAN ROOM AND VERY NICE AREA
- 3/5
Room looked okay.. carpet was dirty. Bathroom was kept clean. A/C not working properly. Friendly staff, helpful and did their best.
- 4/5
Very comfortable bed! Only small desk for personal items. One luggage rack not enough. No electrical outlet close to bed for CPAP machine.
- 5/5
Wonderful location.
- 3/5
AC kept turning on and off, light for filter service was on. While i normally would not turn it on in late November it was warm and humid which made the room hot. Other than that, nice place, clean room and easy to get to pkaces in the city. Staff was wonderful!
- 1/5
Before my 10-hour sleep ended, my daughter woke me up screaming about a bug crawling on her stuff. I could have overlooked the unhelpful concierge, filthy elevators, old, dirty carpet, dilapidated building, outdated furniture but bugs in the hotel room is where I draw the line. I wish I hadn’t stayed.
- 2/5
very nice staff, just outdated and very old rooms. Wallpaper coming off, Bed was slanted, very old rug. Not the most ide.
- 5/5
Clean room, friendly staff.
- 1/5
kitchen staffed pulled the coffee canister away while I was pouring from it. hot coffee burned my hand. the room was great. the burn was not.
- 5/5
staff was great
- 4/5
The staff was very friendly. The location was very convinient. The room was clean, but small - it's New York. It was a little outdated but otherwise very comfortable. Unfortunately, parking was not included, but discount was provided for a location nearby. If you dont need a car, dont bring one. Overall, definitely recommend the hotel.
- 3/5
Great location
- 1/5
The female person was very rude. The hotel was dirty. The bathtub didn't drain properly. They looked nothing like I was expecting from a "gold" room.
- 4/5
Staff was courteous. Bedding and towels etc were clean
- 5/5
this property was fairly decent and worth staying. its is convenienlty located near subway and bus. Food, supermarket, coffee, park and pretty anything is close. I was able to walk to central park just three block away.
- 5/5
Cute and cozy hotel. Linens were clean and the windows opened. Lovey stay.
- 4/5
Was a nice experience over all
- 4/5
It was good for the price and location. Staff was courteous. Cleanliness is a little bit iffy and the place is in need of renovation.
- 5/5
Room and facilities were very clean and staff was very polite. Excellent location.
- 5/5
Welcoming staff, convenient location, clean room, 2 complimentary water bottles as well as toiletries in bathroom. Plenty of hot water and comfortable bed.
- 2/5
I was given a room that was like an icebox, when I complained a maintenance person came to the room and acted like he was turning on the heat. When I got up in the morning with a scratchy throat and coughing with a slight fever, I noticed that the room was even colder. Then I noticed roaches near the coffee maker. This was definitely not worth the amount of money that I paid for it.
- 5/5
Great hotel great room
- 5/5
Very good price quality hotel very clean good staff.
- 4/5
Air conditioning was effective.
- 2/5
Very old. Traveled to NY for work, we arrived very late the first night, the next morning I had to be up and into the office, could not even get lukewarm water for my shower, I let it run for over 10 minutes then had to get in and suffer the ice cold water. That afternoon I brought it up to the desk clerk and his response was not to have a room on the 9th floor, I asked to be switched to a lower floor and was dismissed by being told to shower early, and if it doesn’t get warm to call down and they’d send maintenance up to try and fix it. I was very frustrated and just walked away. Needless to say I didn’t shower the remaining time we were there as the water never got warm enough to enter. The location is good and the bed was comfortable but I won’t be staying there again.
- 5/5
Room was clean environment was perfect
- 5/5
staff is the best
- 5/5
Check In They were nice and friendly and the process took less than five minutes. Room Completely clean when we checked in. Beds were comfortable. Climate control was working fine. TV had plenty of channels. No fridge or microwave, but it did have a coffee maker with two coffee pods. Bathroom Everything worked and was clean. Hot water was hot. I appreciate having a tub instead of just a shower when traveling with kids. Location Great. Next to a subway stop right on Broadway. Convenient to Central Park. They don't do parking so nothing to say about that. Overall I'm not sure what people's expectations are when they book this place that leads them to write such negative reviews. It's the cheapest option in the area by far. Everything about it was totally fine. It's not a luxury resort nor claims to be. There's plenty to do in Manhattan outside of your hotel room so I'm not sure why that's an issue. There's so little affordable accomodation in the area that I'm glad this place exists. Will probably stay there again if we visit upper Manhattan.
- 4/5
Quite good really. We were very happy.
- 5/5
Yep was solid
- 4/5
Very basic. The room itself was clean and bed comfortable. Some spots showed the age of the facility. Grubby elevators. Friendly desk staff and a cute lobby. Not exactly a bargain, but cheaper than many other NY hotels in the 3-star range.
- 1/5
Our room flooded and no one came to help. The toilet didn’t flush properly. There were bugs in the bathroom. We went to the front desk and we’re not helped. Overall unclean and unpleasant stay. Very disappointed.
- 5/5
Quick and easy check in. Early Checkin was available.
- 5/5
Excellent stay
- 1/5
Common areas and room were very poorly maintained.
- 3/5
Room service never came on the second day.
- 5/5
All good
- 2/5
This hotel has a nice lobby but the rest is rather run down and grubby. Paint and wallpaper are peeling, the rooms are not well cleaned, and the water for the shower barely reached a usable temperature. The safe in my room didn't work and it took a long while for me to be moved. Overall, not great.
- 5/5
We ended up driving from PGH to avoid traveling delays and were hesitant about the parking situation. DONT BE! You'll have to pull up and run in to grab the discount sheet but then you'll be on your way to the garage. It's close, safe, and not hard to travel to for non-local folks lol. We had to go back one night super late to retrieve something and were able to do so and given no trouble. There was 4 of us staying in a 2 king- bed room. I was worried it would be tight, but it was honestly perfect. The location is nice, it's quiet and there are many subway entrances close by. I really enjoyed my stay!
- 3/5
Rooms are small and old.
- 5/5
Clean Room Friendly staff
- 1/5
The property definitely needs to be renovated. The paint is coming off the walls. It is not clean. Horrific experience. Will definitely not stay there again
- 2/5
This was a VERY basic room. Which was fine. But apparently some people live there because when my kids dropped something off the bed and were walking around someone came to our door and chewed us out because they work night shift and we were disturbing their sleep. This was not what I had planned - we were on vacation and we were not trying to stay in someone's apartment complex. Room was okay - clean enough but the facilities felt old and damp. Staff was very nice though.
- 3/5
the Hotel is very old, and not in good conditions.
- 4/5
Clean room and comfortable bed.
- 5/5
Perfect ! Clean, fairly large room for nyc, great location next to subway, Central Park. Staff very competent and friendly !
- 1/5
Room and lobby needs renovation - bathroom was manageable........
- 4/5
I stayed one night but was good.
- 5/5
Building is older, but charming. Water pressure in the shower was amazing! Tiles need a bit of caulking, but otherwise very clean. Elevators were small and a bit rickety, but not a problem. Very satisfied for the value.
- 2/5
The staff were consistently cold, curt, and unwelcoming—not what you’d expect from a property charging these rates. The lobby is depressing, poorly maintained, and lacks any sense of warmth or hospitality. I even witnessed a young couple being harassed by the security guard upon check-in, which set the tone for the kind of environment this hotel cultivates. While my room was clean, the problems stem from serious neglect and age. The bathroom tiles were cracked and loose, the water never got truly hot, and I had to waste several minutes running it just to reach a lukewarm temperature—especially frustrating on the 10th floor. The windows were filthy, with layers of grime that looked like they hadn’t been cleaned in months, if not years. The room itself appeared to be a former apartment split into two sections: a small “den” with two basic chairs and a bedroom. The bed was comfortable, but that’s where the positives end. The wallpaper was peeling, there were mysterious stains from years of neglect, and the heating system simply didn’t work. Despite the hotel’s claim of in-room heat, I woke up freezing in the middle of the night and had to call the front desk for extra blankets. Overall, this property is in desperate need of renovation and staff retraining. For the price they charge, guests deserve f
- 4/5
Very nice room. Only drawback was how long it took for hot water to arrive in the bathroom.
- 2/5
Room was not cleaned and had a smell
- 4/5
The only complaint I have is they didn’t have hot water
- 3/5
Room could use some upkeep.
- 5/5
good stay
- 1/5
The conditions of the room are really bad , old , dirty, rusty and ugly
- 2/5
Ultimately this a hotel that people stay at because of cost or serious lack of availability at hotels they wish to stay at. The most it has going for it is that its a decent location and has a subway station only a minute away.
- 1/5
The heater was not working.
- 5/5
Thank you.
- 1/5
Dirty. No hot water. My room was actually in the stairwell. Check in person was dismissive. A facility fee! For what? I’m a very tolerant person but this was not a good experience. One of my worst ever.
- 1/5
However, from the moment we arrived (even before check-in), I attempted to speak with someone at the front desk about the possibility of refunding the second night, but the manager was unavailable, which I understand, as it was the weekend. We then contacted the third-party platform through which I made the booking, and they informed me that they had attempted to reach the hotel a couple of times but were unable to get a response. Upon our departure, we were finally provided with the manager’s email, and I sent a message immediately from the front desk. Unfortunately, neither the third party nor I received a reply. Because of this lack of communication and unwillingness to address unforeseen circumstances, I would not recommend staying at this property.
- 5/5
Good
- 2/5
The bathroom needs maintenance
- 2/5
The room was in very poor condition. The bed and bath seemed clean, but the carpets looked like they were very old and dirty… did not seem like a place that would warrant a $450 nightly rate even on a busy weekend.
- 3/5
One water bottle was opened, bed was not what I booked and i had to pay for an upgrade
- 3/5
Location was great but too much noise outside and I could not sleep well for that reason
- 5/5
good, great location
- 4/5
The Parking was safe and easy.
- 5/5
The rooms were so clean!!!! I love my stay here. Super happy with the price and place.
- 5/5
Check in was fast.
- 5/5
Courteous, friendly staff. Clean rooms.
- 4/5
Pretty good
- 4/5
A/c was good, staff wonderful, located minutes away from anything and everything. We didn't have a car so parking wasn't
- 4/5
It’s little old hotel but nice location reasonable price.
- 4/5
Great location and great staff !
- 2/5
The man checking me in on Tuesday night around 6pm was extremely rude to me. I had used a corporate credit card number for the reservation but apparently there is a law in NYC that states you have to a physical card. I questioned that, offered to show him our corporate platform but he just shut me down, and was completely rude. This was bad enough but then I the toilet and the sheets both had stains on them. Awful
- 1/5
Aged property. Not clean at all.
- 4/5
The room was clean and comfortable which is what mattered most to me. Maybe it was because I was on one of the top floors, but the hot water took forever (like over five minutes) to kick in. Housekeeping was a little unpredictable. No bar soap or hand towels when I checked in, but the next day when the room was tidied up, some suddenly appeared without prompting.
- 5/5
Great location, lots to do near by and easy access to transport.
- 4/5
The room climate was slightly warm during night. However, rooms are provided with sufficient units that made temperature perfectly comfortable.
- 5/5
The staff was very friendly and helpful. So many food options nearby and super close to the subway. Room was clean but pretty small. My only complaint was the bathroom smelled of mildew and the elevators were super small, had to make multiple trips with our luggage. Other than that it was a great stay.
- 4/5
Perfect location if you are looking a Hotel close for subway station, is literally a few steps away from the subway entrance. Something that can be improved are windows, room can get noisy because windows let external sounds in.
- 1/5
I spent one night and they charged me for extra money to use properties, while i didn't use any thing ..also the room furniture is very old . The cost is very expensive compared to the level of the hotel!!!
- 4/5
staff and clean room
- 3/5
It's an old building and it shows. Beds were comfy though. Not worth the price though. It's a hotel that way past it's prime.
- 2/5
Hotel was in a good location and very close to train station but clearly a very old building and expensive for the price. Rugs are extremely old, no mini fridge in rooms, no basic amenities like slippers. Had to ask for toothbrush and toothpaste.
- 5/5
Excellent stay. A true gem in terms that f money and comfort.
- 1/5
Very very dirty grimy hotel. Would not recommend.
- 4/5
Very nice staff in a great location. The hotel was clean but a little worn out looking. Parking is not too bad on the weekends.
- 4/5
Friendly staff, Nice neighborhood, good restaurants close buy, quick access to subway.
- 3/5
Bedding was not clean and staff not very cooperative to resolve it. The room in general was definitely not worth the price: sparsely furnished and in much need of cosmetic improvement. Would not recommend it.
- 4/5
Check in staff were wonderful. Room was spacious- just wish it had a little fridge.
- 2/5
I dont recommend staying here.
- 3/5
Did not have car to park Sheet didn't fit on the bed properly. Comfortable pillows.
- 3/5
No hot water in our room. They were able to change our room once we brought it to their attention. It is an old hotel and should consider renovations
- 2/5
Though it is a fair price for an okay room there are a few things I noted during my stay here: (1) Blow dryer was merely mounted on the bathroom wall. It fell after using it and found out it is mounted by double sided tape, (2) Got a stiff neck from the flat pillows and the mattress kept sliding off of the box spring, (3) The exhaust fan in the bathroom was noisy but it works. For a budget hotel you get what you pay for. It is in a convenient location near the 1,2,3 trains. Lots of amazing food options that are within walking distance. The hotel had an amazing staff and was very accommodating. If you are just looking for a place to crash, then this would be ideal for you.
- 3/5
right by subway
- 1/5
I gave this hotel one star because I couldn’t give it any less. This was by far the worst hotel I’ve ever stayed in. Please don’t waste your money. The front desk was rude during our check in, arguing with me over what room we paid for. The elevators are tiny and poorly maintained. There was something white running down the wall in our room and the carpet was dirty stained and smelled bad. The furniture was chipped up, rusty and dirty. There was no microwave or mini fridge in our room. The bathroom sink leaked and there was no soap, you have to ask for it at the front desk. There was no hot water in our room. I heard other guests at the front desk complaining that the water was scalding in their rooms. The hotel has no restaurant or mini store to purchase food. The only saving grace was there are several restaurants in the area. Unfortunately, there is a homeless and drug use problem in the area. We made sure to be back before dark.
- 2/5
Room was generally clean & the free water was nice. The bathroom was, very odd. The shower was the worst designed shower I've ever seen. The shower head only went up to my chest height. The hose connected to the shower head leaked in a way where the hot water leaked out, so only the cold water made it through the shower head. The shower curtain did not cover the whole shower area. The curtain was just getting soaked by the shower water. The floor wasn't separated from the rest of the bathroom. Like this could have literally just been a normal shower with a tub. I feel like that would have been easier.
- 4/5
Good
- 2/5
Location was good. Rooms were outdates, carpet was dirty.
- 4/5
Hot water took a long time to warm up. No hand soap by the sink; it was in the shower. Carpet/paint need to be updated. Looked a little rough.
- 3/5
Very convenient to where we wanted to go. Room could definitely use some updating, especially the bathroom. Problem with hot water (no cold) in shower that staff tried to fix, but unsuccessful, so showering was a problem.
- 3/5
The subway was close so we were able to get around the city. Our room was clean but the lobby was not the most welcoming/ or clean.
- 4/5
This an old hotel, 14 stories, with two small elevators. The room was small but very clean, with updated bathroom. The room air conditioner was barely adjustable. The hotel hall carpets are worn and not well cleaned. But the price was good comparatively. The location was excellent for us. 96th is a 1,2,3 express sibway stop. Local restaurant access is excellent.
- 4/5
The hotel met expectations and served its purpose for what I needed.
- 2/5
This is the epitome of a fleabag hotel - in total disrepair- filthy carpets, peeling wallpaper, rusted bath fixtures, missing towel racks and a lobby that hasn’t been cleaned in 40 years. BUT, the staff is helpful, there was daily maid service with clean towels and plenty of hot water and good pressure in the very old shower. The location is a block from a major subway line, so very convenient.
- 5/5
Classic buiding. A bit old but adorable and well kept.
- 4/5
It was good - no complaints. The water in the bathtub leaked and the housekeeping staff forgot to give me soap (I was able to get soap from the front desk). It's old but charming. I'd stay again.
- 5/5
Great location. Very easy on subway

Nice
- 3/5
Airco filter is full of dust, needs way better cleaning. Staff is terrible, only sitting on their phone, also security. Check in was nice, check out......staff was half sleeping in a corner on his phone. When I said chat out here said from his corner put the key on the desk and did not stoot up. So very rude. Wifi is also terrible. In the room no wifi until you open the door to the hall. Rooms are very outdated and need a an upgrade. Staff needs urgent training!!!

needs update. one front guy was horrible.
- 4/5
Renovations needed. Felt like this place has a problem with ventilation in their rooms. It was very dewy in my room which leads to bed bugs especially with all the wooden furniture.
- 3/5
Great place to stay on a budget! Bathroom is very old and saw a few small bugs in there.
- 1/5
Not good
- 3/5
We loved the location and safety. We were charged a $40 facility fee after pre-paying on Expedia at desk. Carpet was old and dingy and floor really uneven. Wall paper was peeling. Bathroom was clean and smelled of bleach. Beds were clean and well made.
- 1/5
No se parecen en nada las fotos con la realidad
- 5/5
Plumbing was a little old but overall great stay
- 4/5
Very good especially train availability
