The view of Times Square was amazing and worth the upgrade. My son enjoyed the room more than some of the places we toured. It was a great vacation and the hotel location was the best.

Very friendly staff and the hotel was clean.

The fitness center was great! Location is unbeatable. The hotel rooms need a deep clean.

I absolutely love staying at the Marriott…though Time Square can get a bit much after the 3rd day. Love NYC!

just spent a long weekend here with my granddaughter & daughter....so close to everything we 'needed' to see - the heart of the theatre district...shopping and food everywhere. great stay.
- 5/5
You cannot beat the location to Times Square, Broadway, the Subway and it has the complete “vibe” of New York. We felt completely safe but liked the security at the entrance. We were also very thankful for the spacious room. A huge added bonus was Anita’s Gelato being just steps from the front door.

I was there to see a Broadway show with my adult handicapped daughter. Shout out to the staff who helped me out every step of the way and made this visit so special for my daughter!

We always try to stay at the Marriott Marquis Broadway. The hotel is centrally located and it is clean and well maintained. We initially had some trouble in check-in. Our school wants all of the rooms under one name if using the school credit card. We did get it worked out.
- 4/5
We had booked a deluxe room in the hotel and overall it was very nice. What I liked the best about it is that it is in the heart of Times Square so everything is a bit more accessible by walking distance (Central Park, the different buildings, ...). We didn't have time to take advantage of all the services that they had to offer so when they charged a mandatory $40 USD fee + tax for every day we stayed I thought it was quite unfair. In terms of the actual cleanliness of the room, it was alright. I liked the bathroom since it was spacious and had a big mirror. Overall, I recommend staying at this hotel as long as you are also able to make use of the daily fee.

Needed to ask a question at the check in desk. There was one lady working the “regular” side and 5 working on the “elite” line. Even when the elite line was clear, one lady worked her butt off on the long regular line. I understand that the elite members have spent more money than us peons, however we have to be willing to stay with you again in order to spend more money. This is unfair to your guests as well as your employees. Do better.

We upgraded to a Times Square view room. You can’t find better. This is a first-rate property and every employee we encountered was helpful & polite. Quite expensive but sometimes you just have to do it!

The New York Marriott Marquis delivers a standout performance. Despite the constant buzz of guests, the staff made every interaction feel personal and attentive. My room was exceptionally clean, and the team’s knowledge of both the hotel and the surrounding Broadway area was top‑notch. A fantastic stay right in the heart of the action.

Perfect location. Times Square right around the corner (half a block), Rockefeller Center within walking distance, Junior's diner and bakery across the street, along with the Broadway theaters. Taxis are constantly lined up so it's a breeze grabbing one to take you anywhere you need to go and the Hop On Hop Off bus also picks up 5 minutes away at M&M World in Times Square. Service was amazing and hotel was clean.
- 4.5/5
The location was great! Staff was friendly Check out/reservation lobby during check out was very busy with people waiting for a conference. They were in the way and made it very inconvenient while carrying our luggage

Location couldn't be better for times square, very central but hotel never felt too busy. The size of the rooms was great, beds were very comfortable. Rooms kept very clean. Did not hear any noise in our rooms. Broadway theatre at the bottom of the hotel was excellent. Had asked ahead for a good view. Asked to pay quite a bit on arrival for a room with a view. Unable to pay the excess so we were given a room with a very poor view. Asked to move when sitting in the bar area as we were not eating, no real seating area for bar only. Given the price of the drinks, it would be nice to be able to sit in the bar.
- 5/5
Clean, user friendly and convenient!
- 5/5
I enjoyed my very clean and spacious room! Right in the heart of Times Square you cannot go wrong
- 5/5
If you are looking for a great hotel with the perfect location, go here. This hotel is in the heart of Times Square, so it is close to everything. The hotel is clean and comfortable as well as the staff are nice and helpful. One evening they even had fresh cookies at check in that you could have. We only went to 1 restaurant, so I can't really speak on those. There is a great fitness center if you need that. They have a ton of elevators, so we never really waited to go up or down and we were on the 39th floor. I would most definitely stay here again and again.
- 5/5
Shower perfect! Prime location & walked to 5 Broadway shows!
- 5/5
The hotel was very nice, the staff was always pleasant and helpful. The room was good, with great beds. I would suggest they had more towels to the room and more drinking glasses (they put 2, need at least 4.)
- 4/5
Despite some of the other negative reviews we read about staff being rude and dismissive, we did not encounter any of that. From check in to check out, everyone was very kind and accommodating. Our room was clean with great views and housekeeping made sure we always had fresh towels and our trash was taken out every day. Beware however there are no microwaves so don’t plan on being able to eat leftovers (or make popcorn or mac n cheese if you have little kids lol). Cannot beat the location though, right in the middle of Times Square. My only complaint is there are 2 restaurants (technically three if you count the very fancy rotating one on the top of the hotel The View) but the other two (Broadway Lounge and Revel & Rye) have the exact same menu so not really two restaurants in my opinion. Food was very ok and not very much variety. Also very expensive but honestly it’s expensive everywhere around there. Overall a great place and I would stay again.

The style and location was excellent.
- 5/5
location, cleanliness. I suggest adding a microwave in the rooms. We couldn't bring left overs because we couldn't warm up food.

We upgraded to a suite, which was expensive, but worth it, since we were traveling with a teenage grandson. The location of the hotel was perfect. The breakfast was delicious and so very convenient. The phone in our room did not work, so there was no way to report a couple of minor issues. I had to physically go downstairs to the desk to get attention. Additionally, we would have appreciated having a microwave in the room.

This was our first time visiting New York, the Marriott Marquis in Times Square was the perfect location. It seemed central to everything we wanted to do, walking distance to endless shopping and restaurants, walking distance to connecting subways all over the city, easy pickup and drop off for taxis and Ubers. We were literally next door to the Richard Roger’s Theater where we enjoyed Hamilton. We absolutely loved our stay, and we can’t wait to visit NYC and stay here again!

Very enjoyable stay. Great central location and the rooms very comfortable and spacious. Great views of Times Square and the Hudson from the room as well. Will be returning next time I head to NYC!
- 5/5
The. New York Marriot Marquis is excellent. Located in the heart of times square the hotel had all of the amenities a family would need to enjoy their time in NYC. You can walk to any store or experience within 20 minutes. You can shop 5th Ave and bring all your stuff back then head out for dinner. However you want to experience NYC the Marquis has your stay covered. The best for us was the theater with Stranger Things first shadow. Simply AMAZING!!!! Highly recommend the show. Best part when show is done you go to your room.
- 5/5
The staff and location were exceptional. The bar and restaurants in the hotel made the stay and access easy. The view from the restaurants and rooms showcased the city at its best. The size of the safe and updated bathroom and decor were great. The $100 daily parking price was too expensive, especially with the $30 upcharge for accessing your car each time during your stay. The towels and washcloths were of poor quality and too stiff.
- 4/5
The location was perfect for us and the activities we had planned and the staff was all pretty friendly and very professional The price was too much for just a mediocre 2 nights. Plus I do not like having to deal with an extra $40 day for a destination fee. The food was below average and felt like a door dash type delivery. I paid $1,200 for a king room and they gave me a double saying it was worth more but the whole point was getting a larger bed for myself since I was solo.

I love staying at the Marriott Marquis in Times Square and I do once or twice a year. Its location is so convenient for a lover of Broadway shows, as I am. This visit, I had a show scheduled at 1pm and arrived at 11am. The gentleman at the front desk was able to get me into my room right away, rather than having to wait until after my show was over. I need to ride a mobility scooter, which can sometimes be a challenge with the elevators, but there is almost always someone around to help hold the doors. The rooms are spacious and clean. The housekeeping staff are so helpful! Whenever I was exiting or entering my room when they were anywhere near my room, they would rush to hold open the door to my room. It costs somewhat more than other nearby hotels, but the quality and service are worth it!

Great location. The View is a perfect place to have dinner and see the panorama of NY
- 1/5
The room I booked and paid for wasn't available. They in fact indicated that they had zero rooms with a sofa bed. Thus I was downgraded but still paid full price. I want a refund. I had booked a king with sofa bed. There was no sofa bed so I had to have one person sleep on a hard lounger instead of 2 people in a king and two in a sofabed. Plus, when I booked, the rate was $439/night not $688. I have had several reservations with marriott where the price dynamically changes which is totally unacceptable.

Loved the room and staff. It was in a perfect location. Only negative was the breakfast brunch was a bit overpriced for the offerings, but we just chose to eat outside of the hotel everyday and had delicious New York bagels. We truly enjoyed our stay.
- 5/5
Location. Location. Location. The hotel is in the heart of Times Square and the theatre district. Nice size rooms with a view of the Times Square madness. Restaurant has great food and a pleasant bar experience. Security features made us feel safe in the heart of the big city. I missed having coffee maker in the room for that first morning cup. Other than that minor quirk, this is a great place to stay in NYC

I always look forward to coming to the Marquis for one reason: Ms Lily. She is outstanding. Goes above and beyond to help with accommodations and feeling welcomed to the hotel. All employees should reflect this kind of service and commitment to the customer. She gets it!
- 5/5
Good property
- 4/5
This is what you pay for location moment because if you were interested in Broadway shows or Madison Square Garden EVENTS or Central Park this is your place. Everything was in the walking distance and the hotel has four entrances so you can easily swap places and go anywhere anytime you want. Do breakfast organization was a bit different than we used to. You need to go to another restaurant and show my voucher. This was a downside for me. The hotel was a bit old and the rooms for like 2000s or late 90s.

Clean room and very spacious for a New York hotel. Central location to everything. The blow dryer in the room didn’t work. We called to ask for a replacement and that one didn’t work either. Took the third dryer replacement for it to work. The outlet in the bathroom also didn’t work correctly since I couldn’t use my curling iron. The staff was very nice to offer to send someone to fix it, but it was getting late and I just wanted to go to bed. Would stay here again, but hope we won’t run into the same situation again.

was subpar as cantaloupe, honeydew melons and pineapple were the only choices.
- 5/5
The Marriott is lovely and an ideal location if you are planning on a lot of shows in the theater district. The on-site dining is solid, if a little pricey (considering the location though- everything is pricey). The rooms are well appointed and large by New York City standards, and housekeeping is excellent. Its only real downside is because of its location and gigantic convention space, it is CROWDED most of the time. The elevator system manages it well, but do not expect quiet in the lobby or on the lower floors. Our room was not facing Times Square so it was reasonably quiet. Would stay again for proximity to theater but if crowds are not your thing this is not the location for you.

Check in and check out were smooth and efficient. The staff were consistently friendly and helpful, and the hotel felt safe, quiet, and well organised. The facilities were well maintained and the overall experience felt very relaxing and enjoyable. There were only minor issues. At times the Wi Fi connection was slightly inconsistent, and the room temperature took a little time to adjust properly.
- 3.5/5
Close to theaters. Room small for the price, minimal amenities. Bathroom and shower very small; shower had no grab bars (was told all showers have grab bars which is not true). Lots of elevators but still had long waits for elevators.
- 3/5
My room had two bags of dirty tiles on either side of the door upon arrival. Cleaning staff opened the door after my approved 2 PM check out and the privacy sign was on the door. The glass in my room was dirty and it took me a while to clean it before I could use it. The yogurt parfait I ordered for breakfast was curdled up upon arrival and was disgusting. Check-in staff was friendly. Most bar staff were friendly.

Central location if that's what you're looking for, the hotel has everything you need in it like a Starbucks on the ground floor and a shop for snacks/gifts, good gym, good sized room which is rare in NYC Extremely busy hotel so if you're not into that then avoid..sometimes had to queue for the lifts during busy times when lots of people were checking into the hotel, no bottled water in the room, the gym was like a sauna blowing out hot air quite often which was very strange, gift shop snacks/drinks were really expensive but I guess you're paying for convenience, very noisy room with thin walls so could hear people either side and the noise from Times Square was very apparent until late despite being on the 44th floor

I absolutely love this hotel, especially for its excellent location and the strong sense of safety it provides. Being in such a convenient area makes it easy to get around the city and enjoy everything New York has to offer. I also truly appreciate how secure and comfortable I feel every time I stay here. The staff is always attentive, and the overall atmosphere is welcoming and reliable. Because of all these reasons, this hotel has become my go-to place whenever I visit New York—I wouldn’t choose to stay anywhere else.

- 5/5
Hotel is beautiful but extremely busy. Our room was clean and the bathroom was lovely. We had a late dinner in the restaurant and the food and drinks were great. It is across the street from the Minskoff Theatre, so it was perfectly located as we came to New York to see the Lion King.
- 5/5
They had amazing customer service! The rooms were clean and housekeeping did a great job every day. I highly recommend it to anyone looking to enjoy Times Square and having a nice restful place to come to after a long day of adventure.
- 5/5
The staff were amazing the minute we arrived and the room was spacious and clean. I will always stay here when visiting NY.
- 5/5
Excellent location and atmosphere
- 5/5
Amazing place
- 5/5
Brought my daughter to NYC for the first time for her 14th birthday. Saw 3 shows and felt very safe with the Marquis as our home base. The room was very spacious and had a great view. Room service credit didn’t go very far but it was fine - we enjoyed a little snack before our evening shows each night.
- 3/5
You have a 40.00 a day extra charge. The staff was not help
- 4.5/5
Just about everything. Signage on the room’s floor was plain awful, and no main signs showed my room number whatsoever!
- 5/5
We loved the location! Perfect to get to everything we wanted to do. Everyone we encountered on staff was helpful and super friendly. We would definitely stay here again! N/A
- 5/5
Excellent location and facilities
- 5/5
I also appreciated the security measures; after a certain time, they check room keys, which made me feel safe during my stay. Overall, I was very happy with my experience and had no complaints. It’s a great place to stay, and I would definitely recommend it!
- 5/5
Wonderful hotel and perfect location!

We had a great time. LOCATION!!! was the best
- 2/5
Upon arrival our room was very unclean stains on the table and finger prints on the window and the mirror. Thermostat wasn’t not functional. We asked to change the room front desk lady wasn’t very much helpful. She probably didn’t like her job. Moved to the second room it was ok. But after a day the thermostat had an issue again in the new room. Absolutely frustrating especially winter time. Bought a hot flavored coffee at the gift shop but unfortunately wasn’t warm at all and had no flavor and the person behind the register seemed forced to work there. Also, realized that bellmen had their own hussle going with cab drivers. Just like in some 3rd world countries. They pretend to help you but they call a cab that is going to double or triple charge you. Overall, I give 2.5-3 stars. It was like a motel 6 with many floors.
- 5/5
Staff was great! Beautiful hotel. Clean. Easy accessibility to popular areas
- 5/5
Great location, staff very helpful. Cocktail lounge superb.
- 5/5
This hotel was amazing, clean and everyone so friendly.
- 5/5
The hotel was amazing with spectacular views and amenities. If your looking to stay at the heart of New York City, stay at the Marriott Marquis.

Great location and super convenient. Very clean hotel.
- 5/5
We had an awesome stay at the Marriott Marquis. They allowed us to check in early. Nice room with a great view from the 15th floor. We ate three good meals there, including dinner on the 47th floor at The View which was so fun. Staff was friendly and most helpful.
- 5/5
had a good time
- 5/5
The property was in an amazing location with exceptional service. The room initially was a bit dusty but they soon rectified that.
- 5/5
Rooms were clean, excellent location, food was good at Rye Restaurant. Only complaint was the constant wacky tobacco/devils lettuce smell on the ground level.
- 5/5
We got a wonderful welcome at check in from a lady called Lily, she was delightful, friendly and so professional. She took an interest in us with our two sons and was a lady to her fingertips ! So lovely to meet Lily after a long day travelling. She is indeed a treasured asset to the Marriott group. Best wishes always Lily , you are wonderful. We look forward to seeing you during our next stay with the Marriott Marquis, Many thanks, Maria & Hugh Radmall Everything from the staff, location and ease of check in as I have mentioned

Very clean and great location. Staff was excellent!
- 5/5
Huge room Air worked wonderful Super clean
- 5/5
No I think everything was perfect
- 5/5
I paid more for a view of Times Square and it added to the ambiance of our room and the fun of the trip. I chose this hotel since it was so close to our Broadway show. Easy to walk to different sites.
- 4/5
Everything was great to celebrate my grandsons' 9th b'day. My only complaint was 1 person checking the line in at noon on a sat., elite members had 4-5. I was surprised that a manager didn't read the room. Elite members walking right up thru line for 15 minutes while regular check in line was growing.
- 5/5
Great place to stay right in the middle of everything. Safe, clean, and well priced.
- 5/5
Cannot fault the hotel and this was my first time ever in the US
- 4/5
The room was clean and staff was kind and responsive. In-room dining breakfast was the only low point. It arrived in a bag without sugar or other condiments.
- 5/5
Fantastic location! Right in the heart of Times Square! Our room had an AMAZING view of the billboards, the NYC ball from New Year), quick access to cabs or Subway. Loved the bar & lounge on 48! It spins (slowly) to give a 360 view of the city (takes about an hour if you want to go all the way around
- 2/5
Poor
- 4/5
The hotel was very difficult to navigate which added a lot of stress to our stay. The rooms were clean but very basic in my opinion for this price range. Overall we were comfortable in the room and had a good trip but probably wouldn’t stay here again
- 5/5
Staff very friendly and helpful. Room witjh a view in an excellent location. Liked the "extras" such as fridge, safe, tea and coffee making facilities, free wifi and toiletries as well as water fill up point in the lobby. Buffet breakfast was a bit expensive but the choice and variety of food made up for this.
- 3/5
Clean room, good staff, but very busy hotel.

Clean rooms and amazing staff.

i love everything about it this is my third stay the restaurant didn't have a selection of food i wanted
- 5/5
Stayed for five days, Room was spacious and clean, easily accommodated three of us. Room Service was the one issue I had, Took an hour to arrive and was cold. They offered to reduce the price, I was surprised they didn't offer to refund the price without asking. Had to go remind them to take it off the bill at the end our stay. Dropped ball there. Otherwise, great! Location was great, revolving bar was fantastic and gift shop had what you needed. Restaurant downstairs alwasy

- 5/5
Lovely hotel perfectly located in the center of Times Square. We saw a show in the Marquis theater and were happy to find we didn't have to leave the hotel to get to the theater. My kids loved the elevators. The restaurant was ok. Although you get a $40 voucher from the hotel, breakfast for 1 adult, 2 kids was close to $100.
- 4.5/5
Night time security controlling the elevator was annoying
- 5/5
Location
- 5/5
More choices on the menu for vegetarians at restaurants at the View.
- 5/5
The location and confort Only one problem, When we arrived here, the shower was dirty and had a lot of hair in it.
- 5/5
Breakfast was ok, but lunch the cobb salad was phenomenal! Dinner at view was amazing, even in snow blizzard. Filet mignon was seared to perfection ? Nothing

Absolutely loved how friendly all the staff is. The restaurants are magnificent. Would love more vegan options for lunch and dinner. Breakfast is fabulous with many vegan options. I did not like the counter that looks like information but it’s really salespeople selling time shares. Would totally due away with that!
- 5/5
Location was everything. The hotel staff was amazing The lighting near the body mirror wasn’t too great/
- 5/5
the room was great! Clean and a great size for the price, the staff were excellent and professional, the parking staff also were excellent and timely.
- 5/5
Location and staff was unmatched. Breakfast choices were amazing. Price. The cost was high tier for sure. But I'm sure it has everything to do with location.

- 4/5
When we called for housekeeping, the response wasn’t always consistent. At times, it felt like they came on their own schedule rather than when requested, and on a couple of occasions the room wasn’t cleaned thoroughly, with some garbage left behind. Additionally, while the front desk staff member who checked us in was efficient, the interaction felt a bit cold and not particularly warm or welcoming. That said, the hotel’s location is excellent, incredibly convenient and accessible, which made our trip so much easier and more enjoyable. I also want to highlight the gentlemen outside and the security staff; they were friendly, professional, and consistently great. Overall, despite a few service improvements that could be made, I would definitely return because the location and overall convenience are hard to beat.
- 4/5

Love Marriott have been a Marriott law list for 20+ years. This say, however, I called and asked for conditioner and more towels was not brought up to me two nights in a row so I went and bought my own conditioner. Was truly surprised by that as that is normally not the way that things normally are.

Room was clean and comfy, staff was really great even with 11:30pm after show room service, market had a great selection and was tasty, and the hotel itself is in the BEST location for broadway show hopping.
- 5/5
Room was beautiful. Very clean and spacious. View was incredible!
- 3/5
Room had some garbage in the corner, kind of gross. Everything else was ok. Don’t get the breakfast buffet, not worth the extra money.
- 5/5
The staff was fast and courteous, they were patient and answered all the questions we had. The hotel is in the heart of all you need and the room was great. Are go to place to stay for future trips!

Check in was bad. Water started pouring into the lounge during breakfast. The food and service in the eighth floor restaurant was horrible. A few staff members were wonderful. The prices in the shop are too high.

- 4/5
The amenities are incredible! Views from room were breathtaking. Room was clean and comfortable. Housekeeping was so friendly. The only negative is they charge you $40 per day that you have to spend at their restaurant by 11:00am or lose it. It felt like a trap and took away from the the experience.
- 5/5
Everything was excellent
- 5/5
Excellent hotel in prime location
- 5/5
Central to everything Clean rooms Great restaurants
- 3/5
The restaurant and lounge at 'The View' were fantastic and definitely worth the money! However, the room service fell a bit short. Even though we booked for two, we only received one set of slippers and one robe. There were also no complimentary water bottles or dental kits provided. Great dining, but the room amenities need better attention to detail.
- 4/5
Location is terrific . Rooms spacious . M Lounge a zoo for breakfast on weekend.- decided to skip on Sunday.

As usual staying at Marriot Hotels never disappoint and it is always above my expectations.
- 5/5
Disappointed they did not offer free WiFi
- 5/5
Clean room. I wish we could use the $40 at the coffee stop in the market. The elevators can be overwhelming and it would be great if it could space out the elevators and not send everyone to the same one at the same time.
- 5/5
Walking distance to main attractions. Clean. Love the elevator system, never waited long for an elevator.
- 5/5
Location
- 4/5
Was really pleasantly surprised that we could not hear the noise or bothered by the lights at night at all. Great sleep! Such a perfect location to walk to any of the shows and tons of shopping and dining options.
- 5/5
My two-night story was everything I could have wanted from a luxurious hotel in Times Square. Would definitely recommend!
- 1/5
New years we couldn’t even get in the hotel due to horrible wait times
- 5/5
Room was great - clean and quiet. Large by NYC standards
- 5/5
The entire team from the front desk staff to the elevator personnel demonstrated exceptional coordination and attentiveness, ensuring that everything ran smoothly and seamlessly throughout our stay even though it was crowed for new years. The hotel itself was immaculate, the beds were exceptionally clean and comfortable, and the overall atmosphere was both welcoming and impressive. A very special and heartfelt thank you goes to Sue at the front desk, who was truly the highlight of our experience. Her charisma, warmth, and professionalism are remarkable, and it is immediately evident why she has dedicated 38 years to this property. Sue went above and beyond to make us feel valued and cared for, turning a wonderful stay into a once in a lifetime memory. She is an absolute asset to Marriott and a perfect example of what exceptional hospitality looks like. If I were to offer one small suggestion, it would be the inclusion of an airport shuttle service something we would gladly pay for, as this hotel unquestionably deserves every bit of recognition it receives. We recommend the Marriott Marquis without hesitation and can confidently say that this will be the only hotel we choose to stay at from now on.
- 4/5

Very clean and spacious room- family connector room was perfect for us and our teenagers. Staff was very helpful and friendly from beginning to end.
- 4/5
I’ll give it a 4 star but the service and the restaurant was a thumbs down for me. They weren’t welcoming at all , customer service was terrible ! (Only at the Restaurant) other than that , location is perfect , room was very clean .
- 3/5
front desk was rude
- 5/5
The room was great and the staff were polite, kind and helpful.
- 5/5
Have stayed here several times and always pleased! Perfect location in Times Square near the theaters
- 5/5

Staff. Great location.
- 3/5
we upgraded are two rooms at 12:30 the day of check in and rooms still weren't ready at 4....beyond frustrating! we spend all that extra money and can't get into room, completely unacceptable! do better! in addition to that we had 5 pm reservation for the view your rooftop experience and didn't have time to even freshen up after traveling all day because room wasn't ready
- 5/5
Clean rooms, friendly staff. Everything you want in walking distance.
- 3/5
I love the location of this hotel. However, so does everyone else. I have never seen so many people in a hotel in my life. 1 hour wait in the lobby to check in. 30 minutes to get a cup of coffee at the gift shop, and a line so long for breakfast it was not tolerable....we just gave up each morning.
- 5/5
Awesome stat!
- 5/5
We had room 1222 on 12th floor. Beautiful views and grate room service
- 5/5
Amazing location. Great restaurants and bar in hotel.

Excellent service and clean hotel.

Our stay at the Marriott Marquis New York City was nothing short of incredible — truly one of the best hotel experiences we’ve ever had. From the moment you step inside, you feel the energy and excitement of New York, yet once you’re in your room, it becomes a peaceful, luxurious retreat above the city. The views are absolutely breathtaking — waking up to Times Square glowing below you feels like something straight out of a movie. The rooms are spotless, modern, and extremely comfortable. The beds were heavenly, the bathrooms were beautiful, and everything felt thoughtfully designed for comfort after long days of exploring the city. The location could not be better. You are literally steps from Broadway theaters, shopping, restaurants, Rockefeller Center, Bryant Park, and major subway lines — making it effortless to explore the entire city. One of the biggest highlights was the revolving restaurant and lounge — a must-do experience with stunning skyline views. It was the perfect way to relax at the end of the day and truly soak in the magic of New York. Every staff member we encountered was friendly, professional, and genuinely welcoming. They went out of their way to make sure our stay was perfect, which made such a difference. This hotel delivers the perfect mix of luxury, excitement, comfort, and convenience.

Our stay at the Marriott Marquis New York was an excellent experience from start to finish. Check-in was quick and seamless, and the staff were consistently friendly, professional, and very helpful throughout our stay. The hotel's central location is unbeatable, making it easy to access major attractions and get around the city. Our room was clean, spacious, and well maintained, with a very comfortable bed that made it easy to relax after long days in New York. The entire family truly enjoyed our time here, and the combination of comfort, service, and location exceeded our expectations. We will definitely stay at the Marriott Marquis New York again and highly recommend it.

- 5/5
Great rooms, incomparable location just steps from Times Square
- 5/5
Wonderful
- 4/5
Only reason I gave 4 stars is because we actually didn’t even get to stay at Marriot Marquis on this trip, but have stayed here before and the place is amazing. Perfect location, great rooms, great bar, just a wonderful place. We were supposed to fly out of Cincinnati to JFK and all flights at JFK were grounded due to weather. Our flight was cancelled. American Airlines did refund our flight, but Marriot wouldn’t refund any. I do realize we booked through Expedia and it was a package deal with no trip insurance, so the fault lies on us for that. Was just hoping that they might have even give us one night refund or some type of credit to stay at a later time. They could have re-sold that room for double what we had booked it for. Once again, perfect hotel with great location and amenities Hate that we lost all of our money, but would still stay there again
- 5/5
Great view of times square
- 1/5
Great location.

Excellent services and customer services!!

Great stay for family
- 5/5
The hotel was the greatest my family and I have ever stayed at. Restaurant was right on point with great customer service and food. Room was clean and squared away. Only issue was one of the bell boys. He had an extremely bad attitude and rude, but me and the family were not going to talk down about the hotel just because of that one person. Everyone else was extremely friendly and helpful throughout our three day stay.
- 5/5
Amazing hotel, great location, great amenities!
- 5/5
Friendly and helpful staff. Great location. Extremely clean and room sizes were big for NYC!
- 5/5
Everyone was kind and the view of Times Square was amazing!
- 5/5
This hotel was beautiful, the staff were friendly and very helpful and it was so convenient. We walked everywhere we needed to go except a short ride to the 9/11 memorial. It also had a great view of Times Square.
- 5/5
Room was clean and staff were great
- 5/5
Pretty busy on the weekend but the elevators moved quickly, room was clean with an amazing view of times square, and hotel staff was friendly and helpful. Would definitely recommend :)
- 3/5
I would rate the room to be in poor condition. The carpet was frayed and raveled, the handle to turn on the shower was almost impossible to move to an on / hot water position, and one of the pull drapes could not be closed. The room just seemed like it needed a good deep clean. Staff in the restaurant seemed attentive, but mainly to large tables. I literally had to get a different wait staff to obtain water and coffee with my meal.
- 5/5
Amazing stay!
- 5/5

Great service. Large room
- 5/5
I recently stayed at the Marriott Marquis in New York City and had a fantastic experience! The property was stunningly decorated for Christmas, feeling like a festive wonderland. The service was efficient and friendly, with a speedy check-in process that got me settled in no time. The location was unbeatable - right in the heart of Times Square, with easy access to shopping, restaurants, and attractions. The rooms were clean, comfortable, and well-maintained, making it the perfect base for exploring the city. I'd definitely choose this hotel again for a trip to lower Manhattan - it's the perfect blend of convenience, comfort, and NYC magic!"
- 3/5
Service was slow, amenities were poor and cleaning services lacking proper hygiene. The location of the hotel is really good though.

I didn’t eat breakfast there, but I ate in the coffee shop and it was very good. The Broadway lounge was really fun to come back to in the evening. The hotel is located in a fantastic location and it is really excellent.

Amazing view of Times Square. Beds were on the firm side. Can't ask for better location if you are seeing a Broadway show.

I can’t wait to stay again. Staff was wonderful!! The spot was perfect to where we needed to be in walking distance. Very clean. Maybe a little pricey but so worth it.

Word of caution. I highly recommend not having your room cleaned while you are out if you plan on leaving any personal items out in the open. I left my room at 9am and returned at 10pm to find all my souvenirs missing. A claim was immediately filed and was told the manager would call us back the next day to follow up. No phone call so I had to track him down. He had zero information and said the incident would be handled by security who would be in contact with me. I never once heard from security. Almost two weeks later, after I left many voicemails and sent emails to the claims department, I received a call back that they closed their investigation. The house keeper said nothing was removed from the room so they have to believe her. Although, the claims department acknowledges that the house keeper was the only person in the room when the items went missing. Interesting. I never in a million years thought my souvenirs would be at risk during a room cleaning. My friend’s souvenirs were sparred but mine were removed. Its just odd. I’d recommend this location because it was nice, it was convenient. But if you leave the room, be sure to put any personal items in the safe or take them with you so you can avoid the headache and heartache I experienced.

Excellent location. We've stayed at Grand Central and now Times Square, and prefer Times Square - the access to subways is better. We were on 26th floor facing 45th and the noise from the street didn't bother us. Clean room. Went Thanksgiving week and the staff did a great job getting people in and out - especially after the parade. Would definitely stay here again.

It was awful. Don’t stay there.

It was just so expensive-especially the food. Charged $40 a day activity fee that could be applied to food in their restaurants but the food was so expensive - even for breakfast. Also disappointed they did not have robes in the room. Finally got robes the last night we were there!
