Reviews
The Hilton Midtown hotel is praised for its excellent location, with many guests enjoying the proximity to popular New York City attractions. However, the hotel receives mixed reviews regarding the cleanliness and condition of the rooms, with some guests reporting issues with outlets, bathroom fixtures, and furniture. The staff is generally described as friendly and helpful, but some guests have had negative experiences with customer service, particularly during check-in and check-out.
- Excellent location
- Friendly and helpful staff
- Inconsistent room cleanliness and condition
- Occasional poor customer service experiences

Just have faster elevators please
- 5/5
The staff when arriving, fantastic! Clean and easy check in! Room was awesome and the breakfast was very nice. Great location as well! Thanks for a great time!
- 5/5
Staff could have been a little more cordial. Speaking with the front desk I felt as if I were a burden for just checking into the property.
- 5/5
Amazing experience
- 4/5
Great location . Very busy but staff is very accommodating. Breakfast is very expensive . All the elevators were not working on a very very busy weekend. Nice large room and comfortable beds.
- 5/5
Great Staff. Clean rooms. Very close to central park, MoMA, Timesquare.
- 2/5
Small bathrooms, elevators were not working, very crowded with large groups.
- 5/5
Muy buen servicio, limpio y ordenado. La gente muy amable. Nos encantaron los desayunos que ofrece el restaurante en el hotel. Los desayunos no están incluidos en la tarifa del hotel pero vale la pena pagarlos.
- 4/5
Clean rooms, friendly staff, right in the middle of all the action. Elevator maintenance/upgrade was taking place during our stay and sometimes the wait for an elevator was close to 7-8 minutes. It was annoying, but will resolve once the project is complete.
- 5/5
First time in NYC. Place was clean and staff friendly. Highly recommended
- 5/5
Reliable and quality choice on multiple occasions.
- 5/5
I stay at this hotel every year for 5-6 day city-break. The location is perfect for mid-town within walking distance of Museum of Modern Art, Rockefeller Center, Central Park, shopping, and restaurants. Although a very large and busy property, the concierge, front desk staff, restaurant staff all provide helpful and efficient service. Housekeeping keeps the rooms reliably cleaned. I will likely be back again next year for my annual city-break because it has proven to be a reliable, and competitively priced hotel choice for me for years.
- 5/5
Hotel was fine. Shower could be a little cleaner.
- 4.5/5
the AP was not working so I could not do a keyless check-in, that was frustrating. And then the guy that actually checked us in, had a blank look on his face like he could care less when I told him. Line was long so he may have been wanting to move me through to keep up with the traffic. When I tipped him he looked at the bill/me and gave me a look like I was some peasant....(like he gets tips all day, lol). The guy at the desk...

The property didn’t feel clean or kept up with. We had also called ahead of the me as my wife pumps and needed to freeze her milk and have away to warm milk for bottles. It took 3 calls to get an electric kettle and they were not helpful with freezing things.
- 2/5
Room cleanliness was horrible .. mold dirt , etc wallpaper pulling
- 5/5
We loved everything the food ,staff and everything else around
- 1/5
Personally, I would not stay again. I had a horrible experience from check-in to check out. The hotel is very outdated and the room we were given was very damaged and it just was not at all what I was expecting. We encountered an issue with our mini fridge and I did need it due to the fact that I am breast-feeding and they got me a fridge that didn’t even work and when I called later on to request one they pretty much told me there was nothing they could. Overall would not stay again
- 3/5
I Have the plugs in the room did not work, not enough towels, no washcloths, no refrigerator in the room,

Superb
- 4/5
The location was fabulous and also the size of the rooms were much larger than expected for NY. Our biggest issue was the elevators - in the mornings and during check in hours in the afternoons , one could wait between 15-20 minutes to grab a lift especially to the higher floors. Other than that everything was just fine.
- 5/5
Loved This property especially the guy making us coffee drinks today!
- 5/5
Great location. We could walk to Central Park, the theatre, and wonderful restaurants
- 2/5
Some of the furniture was dirty, worn and peeling. Overall felt the high prices bought us a sub par experience Usually Hilton hotels guarantee a certain amount of quality and reliability Not so in this case
- 5/5
The clerk at the desk took awhile for check in but then offer me a few nights few breakfast for the trouble. That was nice and I got a room despite the wait. The hotel was awesome as always! Convenient for the Fest and for proximity to the attractions. Rooms could've been larger but everything else was great!
- 5/5
Exceptional
- 2.5/5
the bathroom is clean but bathtub got stain the wifi was extremely slow and no wifi available most of the night. hard to connect as i was asked to join the club to get free wifi, after tedious sign up process, i was still charged more than USD 10. subsequently complained to the front desk and it's waived.
- 5/5
Staff were extremely nice and helpful. Views were amazing. Great location.
- 5/5
Great location and convenient to everything
- 5/5
Overall the hotel was clean and the staff helpful in explaining additional unexpected nyc hotel rates/ fees added to the cost of rooms. This location is great to easily access tourist spots.

The hotel is not clean and new elevator system is a disaster. Thd only great thing about this hotel is, thag it has amazing location.
- 3/5
The location is great. The bathroom was too small and not maintained well. te beds were too soft. The staff was helpful as well as convenient parking.
- 5/5
Great location. Nice size room. $35 per day resort fee was a surprise but if you spend that amount in the very expensive hotel coffee shop it goes toward the resort fee.
- 5/5
The rooms stinky and little bit, I think they need a little of make up
- 4/5
Very nice hotel in a great area! Could use some upgrades and the bed wasn’t as comfy to our liking. But overall we would stay again. The staff was great.
- 3/5
make sure they have double bed because i had book for double bed and they gave me a bed and sofa bed
- 1/5
I hate the destination fee. The prices were outrageous. What a rip off. The room was horrible. The shower leaked so much, the floor was covered with water.
- 1/5
Our stay was fine but the staff were extremely rude and unhelpful. I had to wait more than an hour on the floor in front of my room with my 80 year old grandmother for security to open our room because our key cards kept getting locked out for no reason.
- 4.5/5
Rooms are comfortable It’s extremely big and crowded
- 5/5
It was a great place. I have breakfast in the morning. It was a great. It was a courtesy of the Hotel.
- 3/5
Waiting and rising for the elevator we’re ignoring. Too many people packed in that tiny elevator going to the destined floors. Hope they change that soon. Some of the male staff at the desk are not as hospitable. And they don’t always place you in the most suitable room.
- 5/5
The property was centrally located to everything in the city. It was very clean, the staff was very helpful, it had everything we needed for our stay!
- 4.5/5
Superb
- 5/5
Keep up the great work !
- 2/5
Staff is very helpful but that’s about it - zero amenities in the room (no water, no coffee machine, no kettle), beyond basic not what you would expect in a city Hilton. The worst part is the elevators - you will wait 10+ minutes for an elevator to go up or down, and then they will be absolutely packed. Really inconvenient and incredible frustrating
- 2.5/5
The room was a really good size, plenty of space. There was no information available about the facilitates; restaurants in the hotel, check out times, amenities. No fridge in the room. No water in the rooms.

The midtown Hilton is a great place to stay. The rooms are comfortable and roomy. The location is excellent for walking to the theater district or midtown restaurants. It's a grand old hotel that feels like home. Highly recommend.

Great location! Amazing staff

The dinner was great simple menu but plenty for some one who has been out exploring all day.

Location, convenience, nice size room, loby Elevators are somewhat slow to wait for
- 2/5
Good location Very uncomfortable beds, seemed very old as there was a big dip in the middle, just very outdated rooms
- 3/5
Very slow checkin -not enough staff
- 3/5
Excellent midtown hotel, been going there forever, but this one time was a fiasco. Just make sure that the elevators are fixed before you go.
- 4/5
Located 4 blocks from Central Park, the Hilton Midtown gives easy access both to the park and the Theater district with lower prices than hotels nearer the park. Rooms are spacious with expansive bathrooms but you won't get much of a view. The elevator system is a novel design which takes some getting used to. There is a breakfast buffet but several excellent restaurants, diners, and convenience stores in the area might be less expensive.
- 1/5
How is this a Hilton? It’s such a run down property. Elevators broken down, staff encouraged access to staff areas to try to help but it was disgustingly dirty and smelled. And the bar was consistently closed…
- 4/5
The elevators weren’t working so we had the use the service elevator the whole time, which was very very slow. They also charged us to hold our bags after we checked out, and charged a $100 early check in fee. It seemed like they were nickel and diming us to then stay in a place without a working and fast elevator.
- 2/5
This Hilton has a great location but you will spend half your trip waiting for the elevator. They boast 6 elevators and yet only two were working. House keeping is super inconsistent, sometimes you get clean towels sometimes not. Our room was freezing and we kept trying to adjust the temperature. We spoke with the front desk and they said someone was going to fix it. Nothing. Second request, the front desk admitted that the room thermostats are set and there is no way for guests to control the temp. They offered to send us more blankets which never arrived. Rips in the sheets. The wallpaper in the bathroom was peeling off the wall. And our key stopped working after waiting 15 minutes for an elevator to get to our room. For $400 per night we expected better. I will not stay with Hilton again.
- 5/5
Room was perfect as was the location!
- 4/5
My only complaint was sort of miserable check in. We came early, wanted to check bags so we could go about the city. We could, for free, if we checked with the front desk to get a ticket, so we waited in line for that. Then, we came back at 3 to actually check in. There was a Hilton Honors line and a regular line. The Honors line was attended to by three desk employees and the Honors line by one until about 3,:40, then one took her purse and went away, never to be seen again. Meanwhile, two gentlemen who looked to be upper management ... buzzed around, one talking to anyone and everyone and dipping into the back over and over. The other one, at one point as more than 20 people stood in the Honors line ..... went about opening plastic wrapping container and putting out water bottles by each check in point. People in line were actually laughing. Geez! At three, when everyone is checking in, management should 1) jump in and help the check in process and 2) not have "Becky" go on break and walk away with everyone watching. This rush hour should take a lot of precedence ... from a management excellence standpoint. All else was great.

The only problem was the super small bathroom.

Nice decor. Great location Elevators take to long to get up and down
- 3/5
I had no problem with my stay other than the fact that at any given time only half or fewer of the elevators were in working order, so there was often a large bottleneck of people waiting to get onto one of the working elevators. At one point I had to wait 20 minutes to finally get up to my room to grab something, and another 15 minutes to get back down. Inefficient and frustrating.
- 4/5
My family and I, enjoyed staying at this hotel. Location is great! Walkable to many places for tourists. My only dislike was when we arrived during check-in. Our room was not ready and it took a long while to get. Hilton gave us vouchers for dinner, so they made it up well.
- 2/5
There was 1 elevator working for 15 floors. Undisclosed madatory "resort" and "food and beverage fees" that we were not expecting. No wifi. Staff at hotel seemed to think we should be grateful to them for the privilege of staying there. This was a Best Western disguised as a high end hotel.
- 3/5
Elevator wait times were absolutely insane. Huge hassle.

- 5/5
Overall, I had a pleasant stay. The location is excellent and the staff members were consistently helpful and welcoming. However, the guest rooms are beginning to feel a bit dated. My primary concern was the elevator wait times, on our final day after waiting 30 minutes, we ultimately had to use the service elevator. While the hospitality is great, the building infrastructure could use some modernization.
- 1/5
This property gets 2 points for the following redeeming factors: the friendly team member at check in and the bed was reasonably comfortable. Do yourself a favour and avoid this hotel. Nearly everything was a disappointment. I arrived late at night and there was a huge queue at check in, with only two people on the desk. Eventually the guy was friendly enough. Then the elevators are not working so I had to get an elevator to Level 16 and walk down the fire escape to Level 11 and my room. In the room, not even a pen or a bottle of water. Then the following morning nowhere to have breakfast except an overpriced cafe and seats in a shut down bar. All this for nearly £400 a night. You can get a luxury hotel for that price or check yourself into the Citizen M for half the amount. Never again!
- 0.5/5
Midtown great location Bad elevators, we waited too much. They keep stop working and we waited 25 min in the floor. Each floor got 1 elevator.

Unfortunately, during my stay they were upgrading the elevator system and it was a harrowing experience. You either had long wait times for an elevator or the frustrating message that there was no elevator service available. Hope they fix this soon!!

Quality didn’t match the price. Outdated room. Peeling wallpaper, mold in tub. Lock didn’t work, air conditioner didn’t work. The front desk personnel were not friendly. It took me 3 trips to the front desk to get a working key. No coffee maker.

I liked the service
- 5/5
Everything was good, stuff is nice and friendly, clean room.

The breakfast arrangement, the cleanliness of the room, everything was excellent
- 5/5
The Hilton Midtown hotel was really very nice. It was in close proximity to Broadway, Central Park and Fifth Ave. I pretty much walked everywhere. The hotel staff was professional and friendly. The elevators were a bit frustrating but overall it was really very nice.
- 5/5
Easy check-in and check-out. No issues.
- 4/5
It honestly could have been better.
- 5/5
Yes breakfast was awesome
- 2/5
This is an older property that is need of renovations. Breakfast was great as was the fitness center. What merits this low rating however is the fact that it was freezing and the hotel did not provide heat. As an older building, they only supply heat during certain times of the year. To me, that is not acceptable. I would never stay here again. I only stayed here because my reservation at a much nicer Hilton property was messed up and they were fully booked and recommended this property. I should have declined given the reviews. Lesson learned.
- 4/5
Ok
- 5/5
Breakfast in the executive lounge was great!
- 1/5
No one ever got back to me for cancellation. Although I was told it wouldn’t be a problem , Hilton denied me a refund
- 1/5
The room wasn’t clean enough — there were sticky spots on the bathroom floor, which is unacceptable for a hotel of this level. The windows were dirty despite the apartment having a view, which completely ruined the experience. The curtains looked like they hadn’t been cleaned in a very long time. The hotel offers a $35 daily credit for drinks, but this feels misleading since even a single drink at the bar costs more than that. We also requested wine glasses to be brought to the room, but they were never delivered. On top of that, there were multiple additional fees added after checkout. These charges should be clearly disclosed before booking, not after the stay. Overall, the service and transparency need significant improvement.
- 5/5
Nice hotel
- 5/5
Great location, nice rooms…we love staying here.
- 5/5
Property is a bit dated, but otherwise fine. The walls are thin. Breakfast is excellent as is the fitness center.

Convenient, clean and comfortable. Elevator upgrades in progress wasn’t the greatest.
- 3/5
Pretty nice hotel, horrible elevator setup.
- 3/5
The breakfast downstairs is premade garbage in the coffee shop and over priced in the restaurant. Walk out the door and go 50 yards in either direction and you can find a dramatically better breakfast for half the price. They are still working on their elevators so if you don't mind waiting for an elevator it's a good place to stay. The gym has been recently updated and is nice. Overall the people seemed relatively disenfranchised and not the friendliest. I imagine they deal with a ton of people who are pretty demanding so I don't blame the for this but a smile goes a long way.

Then as we moved in. We observed the following. The cabinet door to the dresser under the desk was unhinged. The door was hanging by 1 hinge. Could not use it to put away our toiletries etc. The sink had mold. It was clearly visible in the mirror. The shampoo and body wash bottles had mold behind it. The covers are oversized. It clearly was for a king bed and not a full sized bed. The office chair was very old. The leatherette was peeled off. Like they got the chair from the street corner and put it there for us. Terrible The standards of a Hilton property was not there. This was not encouraging.
- 3/5
Rooms are clean, with regular housekeeping. No kettle and drinks inside the room though. The system for the lift confused everyone.
- 5/5
Room was clean, service was great. Busy hotel but fantastic location. Getting a taxi was easy but the area is also very walkable day and night. Easy subway access too.
- 4/5
Rooms were nice and comfortable, staff was very friendly!

Excellent location!

View from window For 350 $ per night I even have no drinking water Plus stuff was open my door at 9 am for cleaning while I was sleeping ( was on my vacation) no privacy at all They entered like I visit their home
- 4/5
This hotel was very good as far as the proximity to the place where you could walk to like TIMESQUARE and CENTRAL PARK, the rooms were mid to the price but excellent to the proximity. would definitely stay here again, plan on returning with my kids in the summer.

- 4/5
Beautiful hotel. They have just recently/are currently doing an upgrade on the elevators..... and they get PACKED. And you have to wait awhile to get one. Other than that, and having a little trouble figuring out the shower, things were great. The concierge were great! Very informative and helpful. The Bridge Lounge is beautiful and our server was fantastic.

- 3/5
This facility is nice, but there are no conveniences in the room. No coffee maker, microwave, refrigerator... nothing. If you want something, you have to go get it or call out for it. You have the basics. Also, the hot water in the shower: good luck getting it regulated! It is either freezing or scalding. No in between. No counter space in the bathroom and take an extension cord! The AC plugs on the lamp don't work.
- 5/5
Proximity to entertainment, restaurants and ty he stuff very courtacious!
- 2/5

It was decent and clean. Breakfast sandwiches I would not recommend.
- 4.5/5
Pretty much everything The concierge lost my wife’s rain jacket that they said they could hold for her and offered no resolution, it’s just gone
- 2/5
The elevators are going through a remodel, but they’re terrible, confusing drunk people and causing us to need to use the service elevator multiple times. The only perks we got were from booking through Expedia.
- 4/5
The room was clean and comfortable. The only downside was that there was no coffeemaker in the room.
- 3.5/5
It feels like a hit or miss. We stayed in the hotel last year and our room was spacious and updated. This year we got a smaller, ran down one. Furniture looked damaged and in disrepair.
- 5/5
Parking!!!! Probably the most reliable parking in Manhattan super easy super friendly valet! Cost was not horrible honestly. Great building super nice super nice room. What a hotel! Only problem was slow elevators but hotel says they are modernizing it. Will 100% come back to this hotel one day
- 3/5
Staff was great however this hotel was not worth $400+/a night. Carpet was from the 70s, corners of paper were pealing off, bathroom was super small, mold or rust was evident in the bathroom, vents were extremely dirty. We also didnt have a refrigerator - had to ask for one. Maybe they charge for the name or location? Location was the best.
- 2/5
Hot water in the room was almost nonexistent, food prices were very high they have a city imposed fee of 35.00 a day which I didn’t know about before checking in.
- 5/5
well
- 4/5
Hotel is dated but sufficient. Location is in close proximity to Central Park and Times Square. Room was cleaned daily without asking which was a +. Overall decent hotel.
- 5/5
Excellent location. Breakfast in the business lounge had a good variety. Room as well planned for space.
- 5/5
The free breakfast was fantastic. They offered fresh NY style bagels, scrambled eggs, hard boiled eggs, fresh croisants and pastries, 4 different kins of bread for toast, yogurts, cereal, and fesh fruit. They offered coffee, tea, and fresh juice options and of course free bottles of water. I would stay there again.
- 5/5

Make the staff take a course in how to speak pleasantly to customers. In more than one interaction withy front desk they were not pleasant. It was like they were being inconvenienced by me.

the elevators and areas

Cannot fault staff, customer experience 5 stars for sure. Clean room and everything expected for Hilton.
- 5/5
Clean room and great views
- 3/5
Elevator situation was ridiculous. Several down and took 10-15 minutes for an elevator to show up with room to get on. Hotel is a little dated. Would stay in the area again but at a nicer hotel.
- 5/5
Everything was used I love everything ❤️
- 4/5
Great breakfast sandwiches that can be purchased with your resort fees. Coffee good too. The elevators are being upgraded. Expect to wait 5 to 10 minutes for an elevator. Even then one has to squeeze on. Very frustrating and appears to be a long term project. Also our TV didn’t work and no bath mat one day. Little things but not up to usual Hilton standards. A large UN student group so maybe that stretched things.,
- 0.5/5
No thing
- 3/5
The room, however, was one of their older ones with thin walls, near the elevator (so I heard people laughing and shouting until 2:00 in the morning), and there's no way to control the heat setting in the room so I was boiling. I usually enjoy my stay at this hotel, but I haven't stayed in one of these older rooms. Now I know it's a crapshoot. It's too bad, because I like so much else about the hotel. (Despite the cost)
- 2.5/5
To crowded, many kids in large groups , needs renovations, hot water didn't work well
- 3/5
The room was cleaned poorly, I found an ID from previous traveler. (And other items)

Staff were great. But, the elevator situation during this stay March 2026 and back in October 2025 was affecting my broadway show ticket ETA.

Location, that it was a Hilton, Hilton executive lounge with continental breakfast and waters. The entire week was filled with teens for a young business convention they were super loud day/night and inconsiderate. What made it worse was the elevators not all being fully functional so we dreaded leaving and coming back up to our room everyday.
- 4/5
Hotel was great but elevators were a nightmare. A HS convention and the place was overcrowded with elevators down.
- 3/5
Great location. Staff was rude. No water bottles offered. They charge 100 per day for incidentals but there was nothing in the room fridge. The place has a cold
- 4/5
Was very nice but the elevator situation is bad.
- 4/5
great
- 4/5
There were shops nearby. Did not use laundry facility
- 4/5
Location was perfect! Walking distance to Central Park, 5th ave, Broadway, Times Square. Very clean. Terrible show water pressure. I wish they had a restaurant for dinner. They have a bar. Breakfast buffet is great! Gym was pretty good. I wish they had two of each machine and that they’d put the air conditioner on higher and that there were a stock of cups for the water cooler (it was 8:00am and none left). Lots of cardio options! Open 24 hours. You have to take elevator from fitness center to 5th floor lobby depending on the floor you’re on..then walk to a different elevator to get to your floor. We were floor 26. (Apologies to the crowded elevator and lobby for having me have to crowd into the elevator after my run)…speaking of elevators… oh boy. Plan an extra 10 to 15 minutes when you have to take the elevator. It’s a crazy system. You indicate your floor, are told which elevator to take and then wait…and wait…sometimes when it finally arrives, it is full and you have to wait and wait again. It was annoying and we had to plan our morning with factoring in elevator time. Thumbs down on that! Occasionally, a nice staff person would come by to say that the service elevator could be used,(so you know it’s bad). Staff were nice and helpful overall..from the waiter who remembered from the day before that I liked my coffee with my food not before, to the baggage guy who told me about the voucher we could get from front desk to store our bags. Excellent stay over all !
- 5/5
great place to stay and best location!
- 5/5
The location was great!!!
- 4/5
Rooms clean. Great breakfast buffet. But the elevators were very slow
- 5/5
Clean, comfortable, perfectly situated between shopping, dining, and iconic sites.
- 5/5
Excellent
- 5/5
Nice place, friendly staff.
- 3/5
So many extra fees, Herb kitchen prices astronomical! No fridge in room!
- 5/5
Location was perfect. Close to everything. Hotel had everything we needed and we're very accommodating. It was a great trip to NYC!
- 4/5
Friendly staff and clean but was a bit old and the elevators were down most of our stay
- 5/5
Just what I needed
- 3/5
Room was not super clean. No microwave. Had to request a fridge. Beds were quite comfortable. Sink and shower did not drain well.
- 5/5
Staff was kind. Bathrooms need a little updating on the flooring and baseboards. We were by an elevator and it was so noisy outside when people would come and go, but that’s not the hotels fault. We’ll just ask for a room further away from the elevators next time. Super close to everything. We walked pretty much everywhere downtown from our hotel. It was awesome!! Wish they had a hot tub for our aching feet and legs after our long days though. Beautiful place. Will be back.
- 2/5
The room was insanely hot. We would adjust the ac but it didn’t work and having to leave the windows open at night in the middle of winter was unpleasant. The elevators were an absolute nightmare. Spent a good bit of our trip just waiting on them. There was a fire or some emergency and we had to evacuate the building for a hour or so. Wasn’t worth the cost to stay at this location.
- 2/5
Our room had a destroyed chair. We were placed on the lowest floor with a view of a roof.
- 3/5
Lobby is like a train station, cold and uninviting with a few places to sit in. The rooms are spacious and clean. Staff is nice. Close to a lot of things.
- 5/5
Perfecto
- 2/5
Elevators situation was chaotic. I registered for a conference and there was another event going on. The elevator rides were taking 15 to 20 minutes of wait. The staff at coat checking were very helpful and nice, same with the cleaning staff. The room was fine, but all the pillows on the bed had a stale smell.
- 2.5/5
Needed to wait 15mins for elevators.
- 5/5
Super hotel - helpful and friendly staff, clean, and the location is excellent.
- 5/5
Clean room, ideal set up with sufficient room for a family of 4 (2 adults 2 children), well located, staff very helpful.
- 3/5
Outdated
- 3/5
The sofa bed was incredibly uncomfortable. A mattress was super thin and they didn’t have appropriate bedding, including a comforter.
- 3/5
Check in wasn’t great the girl was quite rude and off hand. Very disappointed the gym was under renovation as were the lifts so wait times were at times long. We chose this hotel due to gym facilities over other hotels so not really worth the money or up to Hilton standards for this. Room service menu was pretty awful except the fries very over priced but after a 13 hour journey not ideal to be an only option. Room was clean though if not rather run down back of desk broken etc. not really up to Hilton standards in our opinion and no tea and coffee making facilities or even water in the fridge was not a great welcome.
- 5/5
Great location and super fun hotel!
- 5/5
Great room! Courteous staff!
- 3/5
The hotel washroom was not very clean — there were hairs in the tub and on the walls, which was disappointing. The property was also not upfront about the daily destination charge, which should have been clearly communicated at booking. In addition, the elevators had very long wait times throughout our stay. Overall, I would choose to stay elsewhere next time.
- 2/5
Amenities
- 4/5
Great stay, elevator renovation slows down a bit. but great hotel.
- 4/5
The room was clean, the amenities are great, and the location is perfect
- 2/5
Towels were like sandpaper and misleading fees.
- 3/5
There were long waits at the elevator as several were out of service.
- 3.5/5
Very comfortable, good location They charged me for Wifi when all my f hotel fees where supposedly charged up front but they decided to sneak that in after I check out. Not to mention never got my credit for $45 worth of food charges at the hotel. I’ve tried calling numerous times only to be transferred from dept to dept on who can supposedly help me with those two issues.
- 5/5
Excellent room and staff, I will return for all my NYC trips
- 3/5
The room was not properly cleaned. There was a lot of dust, and it did not feel well maintained. I believe it should be cleaned more thoroughly, especially since you charge an additional $35 per day
- 5/5
Fantastic
- 5/5
The room was great and the staff were friendly
- 5/5
Great location
- 3/5
Elevators broken, no water in the rooms, and a fee to hold my bag for an hour. The place seemed very dated, and simply … boring. No issues with service, although nothing stands out either. As corporate and boring as it gets for a hotel, very little personality. Good location.
- 5/5
The food was amazing. Friendly staff
- 3/5
For Hilton, I expected better the headboard faux leather was peeling on one of the beds. There was no mini fridge to put any beverages in. And the garbage cans were so tiny. You couldn’t fit anything in them. The staff was excellent however.
- 3/5
The hotel is horrible, dark, dirty and nothing for all the money we paid! It needs renovation and better service staff ! Go somewhere else
- 3/5
Update room. Desk chair was old dust in vents in bathroom. Bath tube old yellow stains. Sink had crack. Hotel stated updates but it was for another part of the hotel you only had access to as a time share holder
- 3/5
Room was ok. Staff was not very friendly. The elevator wait time was ridiculously long to the point of resorting to using the off limits freight elevator. This will never be my first choice of hotel next New York trip.
- 5/5
Clean, comfortable and warm room! Single digit weather and my room was toasty!
- 1/5
Something else
- 5/5
Good
- 1/5
After being on the phone for more than 2 hours, we had to find another hotel and being Friday night at new York most of the hotels were sold out, so we ended up going to a hotel which was below our expectations. Very disappointed at Expedia and also Hilton midtown. We will no longer use Expedia for our vacations and won’t book any of Hilton hotels anymore.
- 4/5
The staff were very courteous and very helpful. Alliana Canario!
- 5/5
Door staff was great and helpful. Lobby area was clean and so was the bar and restaurants.
- 3/5
Construction is going on in the hotel, ceilings are rotten , the shower didn’t work properly and there were additional charges we were not made aware of. Other than it has a great central location, I would not recommend.
- 4/5
Room was ok. Elevators were a bit annoying.
- 4/5
Perfect central location. Minutes to everything. Elevators were a bit of a mess but everyone in the hotel managed. One thing that was pretty lame was the concierge bag check in. It is not run by Hilton and charged for it. As a Diamond level Hilton guest, I have never paid to have my bags stored.
- 4/5
Clean quiet room. Very friendly and engaging staff. They were putting a "smart" elevator system that simply did not work well causing long waits. Awful! The courteous staff allowed us to use the service elevator to get down from the 42nd floor!
- 3/5
During our stay, the elevators were under construction, causing long waits. When an elevator did arrive, all the waiting guests had to crowd in at once. The hotel’s location, however, was excellent. I would consider staying here again if renovations were made to improve comfort and ensure a more pleasant experience overall.
- 4/5
I was traveling for business, and overall the stay was fine. My only complaints were the shower and the bed. The bathtub did not drain properly, so I ended up standing in a puddle while showering, and the bed and pillows were extremely soft to the point where I felt like I was sinking into them
- 5/5
Great
- 4/5
Friendly Staff. Elevator system is under renovation and slightly difficult to understand, but front desk staff actually walked over and explained the temporary system. Only negative was there was no hot water for shower mid afternoon.
- 5/5
Great place to stay!!
- 5/5
great
- 5/5
We enjoyed our stay! The hotel is in a excellent location and the room we stayed it was just perfect. Definitely we will be staying here again!
- 5/5
Very good hotel, central
- 3/5
The rooms have really gone downhill. Cleanliness not the best and the sheets seemed to have an unfresh smell! No longer have refrigerator but they did bring me one quickly upon request.
- 5/5
Na
- 5/5
Great all around!!!
- 4/5
Rosey with the concierge service was great and made my daughters birthday extra special!
- 4/5
there was plenty of staff and were very helpful as we had an elderly wheelchair bound guest. it was very disappointing that there wasn't a full service restaurant. some of the food at the Kitchen and herb was less than good. my $29 cheeseburger had been sitting around awhile and was well done and dry while i waited for a fresh burger-no cheese. ready to spend $$ to sit down.
- 4/5
Nice room and helpful staff
- 3/5
The service was great. Everyone was friendly and helpful. The room on the other hand was dirty. There was a lot of random hairs in our shower, bathroom floor and beds.
- 3/5
Location was one of the only good things about this accommodation. Room was so badly cleaned, drawers broken, dirty lights, had to even clean pee off the toilet seat and didn’t improve with the time there. Addressed it with the team and although they were lovely nothing aside from toilet clean was done. Bed was very uncomfortable and lifts hardly worked. Furniture was very outdated. If you’re not really fussed about these things the location was very useful, only a few minutes from Central Park, Times Square and more!
- 5/5
Rooms needs updating. Head board and chair pleather peeling.
- 4/5
Was OK stay. Too pricy for what you get..
- 4/5
They’re doing some maintenance on the elevators but other than that it’s great. I really enjoyed my stay here. Super nice staff- especially housekeeping. Rooms are basically sound proof (couldn’t hear anyone else). Great overall.
- 3/5
The rooms are very old, the elevators are terrible, there's only one restaurant with a very limited menu, and there were no activities for New Year's Eve. The only thing it has going for it is its central location. For everything else, I don't recommend it. It's far too expensive for the service they provide.
- 2/5
The Bridges bar was closed for the majority of our stay. The new elevator service waits to get into an elevator was ridiculous. The rooms seemed extremely outdated and there was hair in the shower when we arrived. Once in the room housekeeping was friendly and quick to provide replacement towels. Not planning on returning to this hotel which is a shame as we have been staying at this hotel for over 20 years. Unfortunately, we cannot in good faith recommend this hotel to anyone.
- 5/5
Loved the location of the hotel
- 1/5
My daughter got sick the morning of our arrival. It was very difficult to speak with anyone at the hotel. Only Hilton in general. Once I did speak with them via email they did not want to speak with me since I am going through Expedia. I asked simply for a different night that costed half the amount of the night I booked. I did not even ask for a refund. They simply took my money and did not want to work with me at all. This is very disappointing and would not recommend. I guess they would prefer to have my daughter bring the norovirus to their hotel. Lesson learned.
- 3/5
Hotel a little outdated
- 5/5
The hotel was great, except the new elevator system
- 4/5
Location was perfect! The amenities were good as well. Only thing the need to work on is the elevator situation, a little ridiculous having to wait up to 15 mins just to get an elevator to take you up or down.
- 5/5
Excellent hotel staff and location!
- 5/5
Hotel was clean and comfortable. Excellent proximity to theater district. Bar and food were excellent.
- 3/5
Waited in line for 45 minutes to check in at 3. Room was worn down and needs to be renovated. Perfect location and friendly staff though.
- 5/5
Hotel was in a good area, staff was very helpful
- 5/5
Great location and great amenities!!
- 2/5
When we first checked in they tried to give me a rooms that was not what I paid for and the man thought oh let me just give her a small credit and she will get over it. We came back from doing our adventures the next day, we noticed that the toilet started to bubble when we would shower so we called the front desk to have maintenance come the water started to rise. That was around 11:15pm they said someone was coming, called again at 12:30am they said I’m so sorry they are going right right now. Called at 1:50am same person well he’s busy he can’t just go right now but he will be there shortly. Mind you we have to be up early to continue doing our adventures. Called at 245am he’s going right now. he showed up at 310am finally it took him less than 10 minutes to fix it. Mind you we still needed to shower and be up at 645am ( we had two kids with us as well.) next day we went to have breakfast at the hotel the host was very very rude to us made us feel like we couldn’t afford our food he made a comment “ are you sure you want to eat here it’s pricey I’m not sure how you want to eat here. Maybe go to the other restaurant it’s better for you.” Mind you our other party was already there. Over all I wouldn’t come back was very disappointed.
- 5/5
Loved the Mid town location, clean, helpful staff.
- 5/5
Room was nice, clean & big enough for 2 adults & one teen. Not enough drawers for clothes but not a huge deal. Staff was very friendly & accommodating. Restaurant staff was very pleasant as well. Hotel was a block away from Radio City Music hall & walking distance to Times Square, Central Park, 5th Avenue & Rockefeller Center.
- 3/5
The rooms are a little torn down. Rug needs mantainance.
- 1/5
Elevator set up was awful. Little to no staffing attempting to organize the chaos. Valet parking is $120 a night which is outrageous. No smart Tv’s in one of the largest hotels in NYC. Will not be visiting again.
- 5/5
Thanks Steven.
- 5/5
Great place to stay
- 5/5
Excellent Hotel, great location
- 4/5
Hotel was in a great location. Rooms were in good condition but a little outdated. The smart elevator setup was bad. It took forever to get an elevator.
- 1/5
The person was not very polite. We asked for an upgrade, first he said there were not any, and then he requested an expensive amount to upgrade the room.
- 5/5
Amazing
- 3/5
For the price the room was to small and expensive. The hotel is beautiful and very centric close to Rockefeller Center and Central park but for the price…
- 3/5
Upgrade but shower was a tub shower not enclosed like requested prior. This had been booked far out but not a deal breaker .
- 5/5
Overall the place was nice and perfect location to everything we wanted to see! Would def stay here again!
- 3/5
The check-in line was long for Hilton members.
- 5/5
Great rate when booking through hotels.com. Clean hotel centrally located. Elevator experience could use some working on Waiting 5+ minutes regularly to go down or up. Seems like only 2 elevators went to those floors. Often times too full to accept more people when heading down to lobby. Otherwise check in and out was a breeze.
- 2/5
Weird high pitched noise whenever hot water was used by us or neighbors. AC didn't work, leaving room hotter than desired.
- 3/5
The room had garbage left behind the end table and popcorn under the bed when we arrived on Friday. We told the front desk and it was still there when we checked out on Monday.
- 5/5
Room was always cleaned quickly
- 3/5
Great location. Major tourist attractions are very close.
- 5/5
Yes, breakfast was fresh
- 2/5
Dirty and Hot room both nights75-78' with no way of making it cooler as they only allow heat during winter months- the elevators were an absolute disaster. It would take 20-30 min to get up and down throughout our stay as only 1 car is running.
- 3/5
No fridge in the room
- 2/5
The location is very convenient, but Elevators were most of the time down, making a huge line just to catch the elevator and the wait was uncomfortable.
- 4/5
Friendly staff, comfortable room, and close to most attractions! Only frustration was the slow/limited elevator situation.
- 5/5
Very clean. Friendly staff. Perfect location
- 4/5
Hotel was a litt old...super expensive the bar and the snack bar and restaurant not worthy 80$ for 4 chips and a water
- 5/5
Considering it was Christmas time and overpopulated the staff was amazing and extremely attentive. Rooms were comfy and clean. There was shops and restaurants on property which was a plus. Would definitely go back.
- 4/5
The Hotel was ok, but service was terrible. On check in at about 9pm & room wasn’t ready. Told to come back at 10. I came back at 11pm & still not ready. Ended up getting a room( no ideal) & then had a rollaway bed, which we had to make up ourselves. DISGRACEFUL
- 2/5
I had to wait for 2 hours for check in
- 4/5
Great location, bar was crazy expensive and no tea or coffee making facilities in the room, but room was tidied daily and towels replaced as required
- 4/5
Clean spacious room but bathroom and vanity could be bigger. Perfect location!
- 5/5
Very nice clean and friendly
- 5/5
Clean room, great service!
- 5/5
Yes the breakfast was fresh
- 5/5
Thank you to the staff of Hilton midtown for everything. Our stay in nyc is very memorable.
- 5/5
Nice place
- 4/5
Great location, very busy
- 5/5
The room is clean, the sofa bed made us comofrtable with 2 kids. Room service are the best though it's a high time due to Christmas season. Receptionist were helpful. And the staff in restaurants are the best. The property is near to attractions, we just walked around to go to places. We enjoyed our stay.
- 1/5
I was told I couldn’t get a refund for a cancelled trip then told I couldn’t give my reservation to another family member so basically I was charged and not given any way to use the product and services that I had purchased. That’s a great way to lose a customer for life.
- 5/5
Clean, safe, and short walk to everything!
- 3/5
When I got done after a long day of traveling we had to wait in line for a while to get checked in. Front desk isn't very welcoming and he got an attitude once I asked a question. Got to the room and the hotel is just really outdated for the amount they make. Room was okay, super dusty, trash cans super small, fridge not cold, no microwave. Daily cleaning and maid service was good. Elevators are terrible wait times. They're working on some upgrades to the elevators so hopefully that helps. Not a wow experience for the first time at a Hilton. It was a good location though, which is why I picked it.
- 5/5
Great location, everyone so friendly, rooms perfect would stay there again
- 5/5
Great convenient location in midtown. All staff was friendly and did great given how busy it was in the holiday season
- 5/5
Friendly staff, great amenities, and walking distance to most midtown attractions. Perfect stay!
- 2/5
We were placed into a room that had a single double bed NOT what we had paid for. Our room was to have a corner view of midtown with two double beds. I slept part of my first night on the floor. I waited over 4 hours go back and forth from the front desk to change to the room I had originally booked and then waited another 45 minutes for a room key once the second room was ready. They were to sent someone up with the new room key but that did not happen. I went back to the front desk after waiting in line for the key. Hilton is better than this and from standing in lines the time I was here m, the above appears to be a recurring theme.
- 5/5
The staff was very professional & courteous. The housekeepers were very polite & accommodating. They did a fabulous job. When we come back to NY this is the only place we will stay.
- 1/5
The chair in the room was aged and fabric was ripping. The elevators were so crowded.
- 2/5
The room itself was decent and met our expectations. However, the elevator situation significantly impacted our stay. We routinely waited 15–20 minutes just to go up or down, which often felt like we were trapped on our floor. This was especially frustrating and made getting around the hotel unnecessarily difficult.
- 4/5
Rooms were clean, staff was great! Working in elevators during Christmas time was inconvenient. We loved the location. Would recommend to stay here again.
- 2/5
Didn’t get a free breakfast
- 4/5
There was a problem with the elevators and many times we have to use the ones that the services use , very inconvenient for days
- 4/5
Everything was fine -- except that they are in the middle of upgrading their elevators. So, of the three that went to my floor, one was unavailable because of the upgrade, and another was out-of-order on two of my three days there. So, we were down to one elevator which meant long delays. Other than that, everything was fine.
- 3/5
The local tax per room is given back to you as a credit to use daily in the hotel - this wasn’t explained clearly on arrival meaning we missed our first day of being able to use it. We were also offered breakfast vouchers on arrival. They were offered to us for $25 dollars each. We declined at the desk on arrival. The next day we decided to ask if they were still available - they were, but now they were $40 per person. The hotel staff lacked consistency and politeness. The hotel it’s self was clean and well maintained and is ideally located for most of the major NY attractions to be walked or a short tube ride to. If you want a great place to stay centrally in NY and aren’t bothered about the service you receive then this hotel is a good one. If service and affordability are important then choose somewhere else.
- 2/5
Pullout mattress was wet. Moved us to a new room, but then there were no sheets for the pull out. Took until after midnight to get sorted. The new “improved” elevator system is crap. You say the floor and then get assigned an elevator. It doesn’t know how many people though so say a few families are ahead of you … elevator is packed and you don’t make it on. Now you need to go to end of line to get a new elevator assigned. Complete sh-t
- 5/5
Yes and yes
- 4/5
Best feature - Great location. Service was not great. We requested extra blanket and pillows and never received them.
- 5/5
Clean rooms & bathrooms. Also the location is convenient.
- 5/5
Did not eat at hotel
- 5/5
Great place , very nice
- 2/5
Dresser chipped and damaged Long long long lines for elevators Told by front desk to call as honors member customer service to get waters - they NEVER answer Conditioner was empty Told by front desk first come first serve for late checkout of call in am - calls and told $50!
- 5/5
Loved the location
- 5/5
Quick check in.
- 3/5
The elevator situation is ridiculous, the lack of coffee makers in the room and the hotel needs to be upgraded. The gym was great
- 4/5
But other than that, it is conveniently located for all your shopping needs and food needs. Once again, the staff was super awesome.
- 5/5
The elevators are terrible.
- 2/5
The room was extremely in need of updating. The leather headboard was pealing. The bathroom was dated. The elevator situated was ridiculous. We waited 15 minutes at times. The staff was very friendly but we didn’t get clean towels or glasses. Wouldn’t recommend this place except for the convenience of being able to walk to a lot of the places we were going.
- 5/5
Everything was wonderful except the elevators being broken and taking forever. The breakfast food was very expensive and kind of bland. The room was very comfortable and the location was amazing! The staff were very friendly and helpful.
- 2/5
The whole weekend we basically had one elevator servicing floors 2-15. So spent an average of 15 minutes just to go one way on the elevator. The amount of money this placed charged and the service that was returned does not match.
- 5/5
The staff was very accommodating. Our room was perfect and we will definitely be back.
- 4/5
The hotel was in the perfect location for everything we wanted to go and see! The only thing that was an issue is the elevator situation. They had one bank of elevators working and it took about 20-30 minutes to get from the 13th floor to the lobby with our luggage.
- 2/5
First, they couldn’t find my reservation that I booked through Expedia. 1.5 hrs later they found it! The room was ok, but not what I expect from Hilton. There was significant ceiling damage in the bathroom that looked like they just painted over (clumps and bubbled paint). The bathroom was small and only a small sink. I was told I was being upgraded for my trouble with check in…it felt more like a down grade. The thermostat didn’t work, it stayed 74 in the room and we had to crack the windows which didn’t help much, and meant we heard loud street noises all night. Finally, the elevators were being worked on which meant 10 or more minutes waiting. I will say the staff was helpful and pleasant. I am very disappointed in my stay and will look for a different place to stay in the future. Makes me sad because it’s very convenient to everything.
- 3/5
The room was out dated and had torn pieces of material all over both headboards. The staff was wonderful. I didn’t like all the hidd n extra fees I had to pay at the end.
- 4/5
The location of the property is midtown NYC made it a great choice. We were able to walk almost every where we went. Elevator upgrades during holidays were not a good idea. We had long congested lines.
- 5/5
However… Location for us was key!
- 4/5
Very clean room
- 2/5
No room service, no in room water or coffee..NOTHING. Mold in shower, windows filthy, this hotel is soooooo tired. Really just gross overall. Good location but for the money, not worth it. Dirty.
- 4/5
Great service and enjoyed the bar
- 3/5
The hotel needs an upgrade but good location.
- 5/5
Beautiful experience all the way around.
- 4/5
Excellent staff, great location. The elevator situation is a nuisance, as they couldn’t handle the volume of riders.
- 5/5
Rooms were wonderful amd the staff was so pleasant. I would absolutely stay here again. Wonderful location, close to everything.
- 3/5
Yes, except for a light that was out and never was fixed even though we notified staff. Long long wait times to check in and long wait times for elevators. Staff was average. Location was great!
- 3/5
The hotel was too crowded. Elevators were slammed and wait was 15+ min so we had to use the stairs.
- 5/5
Concierge was very helpful
- 4/5
Lines were insanely long for check in. Waiting 45+ minutes on line. Elevators being repaired also. So expect a line
- 5/5
Love the hotel and the area around the property
- 4/5
Room was basic, but very clean.
- 5/5
Everything was excellent
- 4/5
Great location. Staff was very friendly. We would definitely return.
- 3/5
Room was not very clean. They need a deep clean and a lot of deferred maintenance.
- 3/5
The elevators were horrible
- 3/5
The elevator system is like waiting for the subway, too many people waiting
- 5/5
Great location and beautiful hotel
- 5/5
The Tenured Hotel Staff is amazing many with 25+ years. Thank you Ann and Wilson!
- 4/5
Staff are excellent and hotel and rooms are spotless. Locatikn us great and the gym is huge.
- 4/5
Clean room, staff was friendly. Elevators suck.
- 5/5
Excellent hotel
- 5/5
Room was spotless and very comfortable. Staff was amazing. The hotel is in a great location
- 1/5
Elavators where under construction sometimes took 30 minutes to get up or down the elevator bank.
- 4/5
Our only negatives were that the toilet had many issues. We had to call maintenance who responded very quickly but seems as if it needs to be replaced. Additionally, the shower curtain was stained with what looked like blood, also should be replaced. We felt like the staff where we ordered breakfast twice was a bit "abrupt". Maybe it's the NY style.... Other than these minor issues, was GREAT and we would stay again!
- 1/5
The room was in need of updates and the curtains were broken and didn’t slide to cover the windows
- 2/5
Elevators were hard to get, rooms were not clean, not what I was excepting for the price of this hotel
- 2/5
While a nice hotel, the wait time/lines for almost everything were unacceptable. They have installed a new elevator system that just couldn't handle the weekend volume. We waited on floor 27 to go down to the lobby and check out for almost a half an hour before we decided to take the stairs all the way down. Very difficult to do with luggage. When we arrived, check in times were also a similar amount of time. Also, the heat in the room was unbearable and we couldn't change the thermostat overselves. Overall I wouldn't recommend this hotel to anyone or stay here again myself.
- 3/5
The location of this hotel is great. The staff were courteous and efficient, however the condition of the room was so-so. The shower grout and caulk was moldy, the drain was slow, and there was no bath mat. The headboard was dirty and scratched.
- 3/5
Bed was bad the headboard was old and peeling
- 5/5
Great hospitality

Over two hours to check in- I worked so much overtime to give my daughter this parade day and because of their check-in being so behind we missed our dinner reservations. My daughter was running around crying, screaming starving. And check out was even worse. Elevators weren’t working so they made every single person in that hotel go up and down service elevators so just as I was ready to leave all of our things in the room- security got us up a service elevator, but then we couldn’t get down. The whole process took over three hours. We missed the one bus home and I had to pay $389 at another hotel Thanksgiving night. The worst experience and extremely overpriced.
- 2/5
Problems with their elevators. It would take 10 to 15 minutes to go up or down because of the slow service and we were forced to use the service elevator from time to time. Very frustrating I will not stay here again.
- 4/5
every one was friendly. nice room. main drawback was the elevators. they apologized but i think i would have felt better if someone were actually working on them!
- 5/5
Clean room, quiet
- 2/5
We stayed for one night and came home covered in bed bug bites. I’ve reached out to the hotel but was put through to someone’s voicemail and never heard back…
- 1/5
Years ago this hotel used to be amazing. It’s outdated and not renovating fast enough. For the rate there should be more amenities in line with other hotels eg coffee makers in room, year round air conditioning, functioning elevators, updated carpet, etc. Kelly at the front desk was very helpful and the manager who sent a box fan to my room since there was no air cond
- 4/5
The room serves its purpose
- 3/5
Our room was booked for 3 adults and the sofa had no bedding and there were no washcloths in our room and the worst was the room was terrible hot and no air conditioning was on!!!!!
- 4/5
Needs new desk chair.
- 5/5
The staff was amazing. Everyone was so kind and welcoming during our first visit to NYC. We had many questions, and everyone was more than welling to help. I traveled with my two daughters and was never worried. The location was great, with the subway nearby. We will definitely stay there again.
- 2/5
Blinds didn't shut, room was old/dainty, bed was uncomfortable
- 5/5
Spacious room
- 1/5
The Hilton is undergoing room renovations and unfortunately we received a room that was yet to be completed. The hotel acknowledged the unfortunate circumstance & offered to change rooms.
- 1/5
Horrible. Crowded. Not even seats in the lobby. The worst.
- 4/5
Great location and service. Room was dusty and triggered allergies
- 4/5
Clean room, updated and convenient
- 3/5
No hot water won’t stay there again. Otherwise hotel was great
- 5/5
Always a helpful wonderful experience
- 3/5
The hotel is very chaotic. There are only 3 elevators for certain floors and the wait time is lengthy. The bathroom was not very clean, but the room was spacious. There weren't enough towels there when we arrived and when I called customer service there was no answer so I called the front desk who transferred me to customer service. I asked for hand and face cloths as well as body towels but was only given body towels. The towels were hard as rock.
- 3/5
Elevators arent enough
- 3/5
Room was in good condition and staff was courteous. Elevators were a major problem. Due to renovations, there were very long wait times and when elevators arrived they were too full resulting in longer waits. This was a major issue when trying to get to meetings on time.
- 4/5
It would be great if there was a kettle
- 5/5
Everything was ecxellent!!!!
- 5/5
Location
- 5/5
Staff was fantastic!! clean room and great location
- 3/5
The elevators were incredibly problematic, with long waits and crowded conditions. It was frustrating. And our "3 person" room was a joke--only a small child could have fit on the pullout chair. Overall, not a good experience. I would not recommend this Hilton.
- 1/5
Ended up with a different room than what we booked...and the elevators were a nightmare to get on...
- 4/5
Everything is very close by
- 1/5
We left from the hotel Hilton we stay there for 30 minutes it was very strong smell in the Room
- 5/5
Located in the heart of midtown close to all the good areaa
- 5/5
Room was clean, staff were amazing, helpful and had some great banter. Was a great location, right between 5th avenue and Times Square. Would absolutely come and stay here again!!! Decent food as well.
- 5/5
Excellent location and beautiful hotel. We had dinner here (family of 4) as well and everyone enjoyed their meal. We were within walking distance of most major attractions and close to trains for anything we needed outside of walking distance. I would def return!
- 3/5
In fairness- it’s been a long while since our last stay and what we found was that with double the cost to stay hotel lacks TLC - lot of wear which is unfortunate thus taking away from a excellent hotel experience- location is exceptional but quality of hotel should not suffer!!! Seems there’s some updating taking place but meanwhile it is what it is!!!
- 5/5
It was nice. The staff was very accommodating. They are updating their decor and hotel. It was very clean.
- 4/5
Everything was super and a really nice room . We never got the wifi to work though. Maby a easier setup where you don’t have to register .
- 4/5
The room was clean & staff was courteous. The last day of our stay we were shorted a wash cloth & hand towel, housekeeping wasn’t answering the phone.
- 5/5
Very clean and nice
- 3/5
The Lobby was very nice, then you get to the elevator which their working on a new system which wasn't at full capacity. The wait time for an elevator was about five minutes sometimes depending on the time of day you were going up. There was one morning we had to wait 10 to 15 minutes for an elevator to go down. Five times the elevator came it was packed so we finally decided to go up six floors and then come back down and sure enough we would have not made that elevator if we would have waited. I was in Florida early this summer at a Hilton hotel I believe they have the same system and we had no issues there so I hope its just because its new to that hotel In New York. The rooms are very outdated I don't think I'd stay there again. In the washroom the toilet was loose from the floor so they did send a plumber to come and tighten the bolts. The tub had stains around it the light switch in washroom was also dirty. I took a washcloth to it just to make sure it wasn't some kind of grayish color paint. A little dirt came off onto rag but I think that it needs to be scrubbed. The floor in the room was a little uneven in some spots. Lighting was bad. The one side table light would go out every time something was put down near it or if you opened or close the drawer. I saved the best for last. The best part of room which I guess matters most is I did get quality sleep from the comfort of their beds but their pillows were a little on the thin side. The Refrigerator worked very well.
- 2/5
Rooms had no air conditioning. We stayed three nights and never got a good night’s rest it was so hot. They sent an $10 box fan that was so loud we just laughed. It was impossible to keep the fan on and sleep at the same time. Elevators were undergoing maintenance so wait times for elevators were high. Lobby restaurant kitchen closed abnormally early so don’t count on a late night NYC snack at the hotel bar you’re staying at.
- 5/5
Room and service from the staff were outstanding
- 5/5
Great
- 4/5
We were out in a very out dated handicap room, where the bathroom completely flooded when the shower was turned on. This was not going to work for two non handicapped women. Upon request the room was changed to a very nice regular room.
- 4/5
Great room. Friendly service. Elevators were slow
- 5/5
The breakfast was excellent and the staff were very nice. The only negatives were these: (a) The area outside the hotel is very dirty -- NYC in general has really declined, of course, and that's the issue. (b) The new system for the elevators at the hotel is absurd, and the hotel should go back to the old system.
- 3/5
Wifi should be free.
- 3/5
The rooms need updated. The location is perfect.
- 5/5
The location is perfect.
- 2/5
Room very very dated and not as advertised, far smaller than listed as a ‘presidential suite’. Lifts an absolute mess, sometimes had to wait several minutes only to be told that the lift was not available and then having to use service elevators. Staff hit and miss, some extremely friendly, some outright rude. The hotel needs a full overhaul or to be re-rated to match its current state.
- 1/5
Overall bad stay, would recommend staying elsewhere. Their elevators were constantly down, had to wait 20 minutes to get to your room. Food service was less than ideal, kitchen closed without delivering order to our room, management was not helpful, woken up by security at 11:30pm because we had our privacy placard on our door for “too long” in general, the location is the only saving aspect of this hotel. 10/10 would only recommend to people I hate. Also, charged $120 after our stay, no explanation, no receipt.
- 5/5
Exceeded our expectations
- 5/5
Clean room, amenities and friendly staff.
- 4/5
Staff were helpful, room was clean and big. I was lucky to get a double room. It worth joining Hilton honors for the free WiFi and a shorter queue to check in. The queue to check in on a Saturday night was really long. Be sure to spend your $35 a day credit, we spent it on overpriced breakfast goods in the shop, or you can opt for the hotel breakfast which is $30. Room had a refrigerator which was useful. My main complaint is that there were no tea or coffee making facilities in the room - which is pretty basic nowadays, otherwise you'll need to spend $7 on a coffee from the café. Would recommend
- 5/5
Staff is very accommodating, I would book this hotel again!
- 4/5
Didn’t like the unexpected charges of $35 a day plus tax so got a bill for $160
- 3/5
The line to check in was over an hour wait. The room was on the smaller side and the wait to get an elevator was ridiculous
- 3/5
Check in is ridiculous , get in line at least 30 mins. Got a skyline view room , I could only see out of one window the other was all fogged up , asked a couple people in the elevator , same problem.
- 1/5
Rooms nice. Waited in line 1 hour to check in
- 1/5
Terrible, terrible, terrible!
- 4/5
Everything was great, we were checked in earlier than expected which was amazing since we had been traveling for a while. Only thing was that we requested a room with two areas and a hot tub and payed for it but did not receive it.
- 2/5
TOTALLY UNACCEPTABLE ! Close to midnight l was able to take a shower, Next morning from 8am till 10am again no luck !!!! SERIOUSLY shocking 😲 😯 😮
- 5/5
Kind staff!
- 2/5
Major elevator problems. Should be transparent before allowing booking. Temperature control problems in old rooms. Bathroom not properly cleaned.
- 5/5
Great super duper convenient location to literally everything including Broadway shows. Nice rooms too.
- 3/5
The hotel staff was wonderful. The rooms just feel a little dated. However, everything was very clean. The elevators were under renovation when I was there and a large conference. So during peak times, the elevators were unavailable, which was not nice.
- 5/5
Loved it!
- 5/5
Noteworthy hospitality from gentlemen who served us at breakfast; unfortunately do not recall his name but he had a Jamaican accent and was really terrific
- 5/5
Thanks
- 4/5
The Hilton is doing major elevator repairs and maintenance. So you have to wait awhile for an elevator. The new upgrade has you select your floor and room number and then tells you which elevator to wait for. Check to make sure your floor is showing up on the panel because once inside the elevator there are no buttons to push.
- 5/5
Museum of Modern art is just a block away. Le Bernadin 3 star Michelin restaurant is a short 4 minute walk.
- 3/5
They were doing some sort of service on the elevators, so there were 1-2 available for our floors (usually 3). I think even if that were not the case the wait for elevators would be very long. The beds were not comfortable. We stayed in a presidential suite, and my 14yo daughter slept on a pull out sofa. That mattress was the worst ever. No coffee/tea maker in the room, no usb plugs for charging. It felt like a dated 2-3 star hotel.
- 1/5
Couldn’t find my confirmation
- 2/5
Unfortunately we didn’t have a great experience here. They’re renovating the elevator system and there are very long wait times plus there were stains on the bathroom walls and floor, holes in the walls in both the bathroom and bedroom, we were told the air conditioning was turned off for the whole hotel and couldn’t adjust the temperature in our room. We were told to turn it off and leave the window (no screens) open. No bottled water in the rooms and no water station for filling your own bottle anywhere on the property. You also can’t order take out to your room and the staff won’t bring it up to you so we had to go down in our pyjamas after it arrived with a lobby full of people. The house keeping staff were lovely, however, I would not recommend this property due to the many other reasons provides.

Rooms are tired. Poor bar service
- 5/5
Clean and professional
- 3/5
Unfortunately the room was smelly and musty when we arrived. Luckily I had a small bottle of Febreze. We also had to call maintenance because one of the lights weren’t working. Lastly, the elevators were not working properly. We had to use the service elevators several times. Location was great!
- 2/5
very tourist heavy hotel and very crowded. waiting for the elevator was a cluster. lots of large families
- 3/5
The bed was quite dated: squeaky, tears in the headboard, uncomfortable matresa. The room as simple as it gets: no coffee maker, no free internet, no cable, two bath towels for a three person occupancy. The elevators are a complete nightmare: waits of 5-10 min to ride one. At peak hours you may wait longer than that to even get close to the electronic pad to request an elevator. If you happen to be in one of the mid to low floors of your elevator block, forget about going downstairs in less than 15-20min. The only positive thing about this hotel is the location.
- 4/5
Everything excellent except no reliable access to Wifi which was important to me. No one able to get it working.
- 4/5
The porter Ali, was the most helpful man ever. I have disabilities and my scooter had broken on my vacation. The concierge easily arranged for a scooter to be waiting for my arrival, and Ali helped me get into a taxi when leaving for the airport. We threw a dinner party down the street and were able to have a pre-party at the bar. This hotel has everything and especially nice staff.
- 4/5
This hotel is in a great location. Its convenient to Lincoln Center as well as the theatre district. You can get the F train right outside the building. There are nice restaurants and shopping nearby. The people who work there are extremely helpful and friendly. My only complaint is that there is no coffee maker in the room. The bed was very comfortable and I had a great nights sleep. Its not the fanciest New York hotel but probably a good value.
- 4/5
Great staff, convenient location, very busy but not overwhelming, would stay again.
- 5/5
Great location!
- 3/5
The bathroom lighting in our room was terrible: very dim.
- 4/5
Your elevators suck. Took forever to get on one and if one did finally stop for you it’s was packed to the gills because only one elevator going to like 5 floors for hundreds of people at one time. Regular elevators work better.

My stay at the Hilton was canceled because my United Airlines flight to Newark airport was canceled. I notified Hilton Midtown immediately upon receiving the flight cancelation notice. I also notified Orbitz. The hotel person with whom I spoke told me that they needed written notification from Orbitz. The customer service person with whom I spoke at Orbitz emailed the hotel while I was on the phone with her. The hotel has refused to refund my prepaid reservation. My flight cancelation was beyond my control. United Airlines canceled my flight because of decreased runway capacity at Newark airport. This situation with Newark airport has been in the national news yesterday and today. As a Hilton rewards member, I am very disgusted with Hilton and will continue my attempt for a refund.

They didn’t have microwave and when I asked the service where can I warm up my dish, they charged me for that $30. Crazyyyy who does that 😢

Very clean and comfortable room.
- 5/5
Very friendly and helpful staff, including front desk, concierge, housekeeping, bellman. Great location, easy to get to Broadway, Central Park, museums, subway. Would stay here again, and recommend!
- 3/5
The room wasn’t in good condition
- 3/5
Stayed here in July and had a wonderful experience so booked again for October. Terrible mattress! Our curtains were torn and therefore would close all the way. The leather paneled headboards were peeling and chipped.
- 3/5
Elevators took forever to get to the rooms. Very busy hotel
- 5/5
I always enjoy my stay at this property. It is in a convenient location, and the staff is always so accommodating. Everyone I interact with takes the time to remember who I am each visit. It feels like a little piece of home away from home.
- 2/5
The hotel is replacing the elevators and it was terrible. Narrow area to wait and long waits. I was also asked several times in the lobby about the time share. Not a good experience.
- 4/5
Great great location, but long waits for elevators and no in hotel dining.
- 1/5
The reception staff are very rude and unhelpful and the heater not working and also room service wa weak and it was unusual bad
- 5/5
The best attention to detail!! I had surgery, and they had wheelchairs available and were most helpful! They went above and beyond!! Amazing service
- 5/5
Staff is very friendly, polite & professional. Hotel rooms are spotless & room service was amazing.

- 5/5
The hotel location is excellent, with easy access to shopping, Times Square, Central Park and the subway. The sit down breakfast was delicious and made a great start to each day.
- 5/5
Centrally located great hotel
- 4/5
Rooms do not have coffee makers nor do they have a luggage stand. These have been very basic items in hotels for decades....... but not here. Very disappointing.
- 5/5
The hotel is in a great area - walking distance to MOMA, 5th Avenue, Central Park, and restaurants nearby. The hotel has a breakfast buffet that is expensive (probably fair by NYC prices) but has a wide selection and was very convenient for hungry kids in the morning. Overall, very good and would stay there again.
- 5/5
Excellent location in Midtown with transport nearby and the local tourist attractions serving as an easy reference point across from the hotel to find our way there each day. The staff were truly wonderful, particularly Mouctar. We arrived after changing hotels at the last minute to a Hilton. As we sorted out this stressful situation out Mouctar was so patient, kind and understanding. We were very grateful. Our room was also kept spotless by the lovely cleaning staff. Vito on the attractions desk was also fantastic, thanks to him for organising the well planned excursions. A wonderful holiday and we’d highly recommend the hotel and staff.
- 3/5
It was okay .
- 5/5
The location is awesome. You are close to time square and Central Park. Many subway lines are in the vicinity.
- 3/5
The rooms are looking a little tired.

Very poor quality rooms for Hilton. Double beds feels like singe beds!
