Reviews
The hotel is generally well-liked for its helpful staff, clean rooms, and convenient location near subway stations. However, some guests have issues with the shower, room size, and lack of breakfast options.

It was a good stay considering the price and type of hotel. The local neighbourhood was good.
- 5/5
close to the train station & the staff were all extremely kind and helpful, will be staying again (:
- 4/5
I just don't like the fact that the security deposit is not mentioned during the booking.
- 4.5/5
This hotel is located in Queens. Quiet neighborhood with some cafes, convenience stores and restaurants around. Just 20 min away from Astoria. The hotel has easy access to the subway ( two blocks away).

Bad mattress
- 5/5
The location was great and the staff so friendly
- 4/5
Good value for the hotel and near the train so very easy to get into manhattan. the N/W subway line near the hotel runs down the center of manhattan so easy to get everywhere. coffee in lobby and very nice staff! arrived after 11pm and checked in easily. after checking out, kept bags at hotel during day before going to airport. Second time staying at this hotel! Would book again. There is a school nearby and during weekdays it is tough to sleep in.
- 4/5
I like the big tub and the street parking. It’s close to the subway.
- 4.5/5
Cozy location, friendly staff and clean environment. Several subway lines nearby. A good price. Wi-Fi very poor
- 4/5
This is a small hotel in good condition. Only issues were lack electric plugs (old hotel) and lack of exhaust fan in windowless bathroom. Places to eat were within a couple of blocks. Nearby subway allowed for quick access to JFK or Times Square. Thought hotel was pricey, but that can change with time of year.
- 5/5
Affordable clean property in nice neighborhood.
- 4.5/5
Convenient, clean, reasonable
- 2.5/5
The balcony view was beautiful but if your upgrading to smoke they will charge you a cleaning fee your not allowed to also I didnt like the window to in thee hall way looked out to our balcony. The bed was hard and the pillows weren't comfortable. The hotel itself was clean but the area is kind of run down.
- 4.5/5
Staff was helpful and wonderful. The room was comfortable and clean. Conveniently situated near a bodega, restaurants and public transportation. Excellent value for accommodation. There is also a Catholic Church St. Patrick next to it, a plus on a Sunday. None. It was all good. But the television is quite dated and some plugs do not work. I’m not sure if it was standard for this hotel but I didn’t have any face towel and hand towel throughout my stay. I asked for it but they never delivered. Overall, it was a wonderful stay and will recommend to others.

+ I like the staff, very friendly guys. + Kitchen area and a patio are cozy. + Small fridge with glass door in the room. + Cool view at the bridge and power plant. + More than 6 subway lines 2 to 7 minutes walking. + Clock tower at Queens Plaza is playing beautiful melody at noon. + A lot of guests from Europe. - I stayed 7 nights, the bedding was never replaced, just "made up". Got new towel only once, all other times the old one was just rolled again. - There was rennovation on some floor, it smelled oil paint all the week thru the bathroom vent. I kinda fixed it with open window, still it was noticable. - Small rooms. It's bigger than Manhattan's hotels rooms, still no room around the bed.
- 5/5
Very nice hotel, with friendly helpful staff. Reasonable location between 39th st and Queens plaza Subway station.
- 5/5
Hotel tell staff was very accommodating, helpful and polite. We felt welcomed, like family. Hotel was clean, rooms were comfortable, and being able to drop off our luggage before check in was extremely helpful for us to get the most out of our time in NYC. Highly recommended the hotel.
- 4/5
Good stay
- 5/5
Raphel and Kendal were so friendly and helped me to get a comfortable and quiet room. Thank you guys once again.
- 5/5
This is a hidden gem . Price is great. Location is excellent and very professional staff . The rooms are super basic , however the balcony overlooking the NYC skyline is AMAZING!
- 5/5
Bathrooms are spotless. Staff very friendly & helpful bed comfy, great location.
- 5/5
Great hotel and staff
- 4/5
Great customer service
- 5/5
When I first booked this hotel back in July, it had quite a few mixed reviews. I can honestly say you won’t regret booking here. Every front desk staff member was friendly and sweet. The area felt safe (3girls), and the DK Public restaurant was very convenient and delicious. I will definitely be returning, God willing. Keep up the awesome work!
- 3.5/5
Close to public transportation, easy to get into NYC. Friendly staff. Good neighborhood eateries nearby. The coffee was not good. Lack of places to hang towels. Very limited outlets to charge electronics.
- 4.5/5
Room was so clean (it even smelled clean!), everyone at front desk was really helpful and nice, location was great. I will definitely go back there next time I go to NYC. There’s not a lot of frills in the room, but that’s fine. What there is was just right and I had a very comfortable stay.
- 5/5
Clean room, good location
- 4/5
Location met our needs Dated items-outlet in BR did not work, a little cold, TV was too small
- 4.5/5
Location, price and friendly staff The bathroom need updating
- 5/5
Top floor balcony view was fantastic
- 4/5
We loved the hotel’s location. It t was right by two subway stations, which made getting around super easy. The place was really clean. The staff was amazing too; everyone we talked to was friendly, welcoming, and always ready to help with whatever we needed. They have an small kitchen but we didn't use it. We were able to left our backgages ultil before go to the airport. The room is small, including the beds, so tall people should keep that in mind. There was also a light on the ceiling that we couldn’t figure out how to turn off or what it was for.
- 4/5
Walkable distance to whole foods and the subway. Free coffee service and the patio is nice to enjoy said coffee My key card didn’t work at first, but the staff were super helpful in promptly fixing the issue
- 4/5
Wonderful location to see the sights and get around NYC - very close subway and lots of stores / eating places close by as well! The bed was comfy and lots of channel choices on the tv. Had a mini fridge in room which was very nice - had to go to the service room to use a microwave downstairs - which also offered hot water / hot drinks. Also had a water/ ice machine which was very nice.
- 4/5
Staff very helpful
- 4/5
Clean room and quite
- 4/5
Uncomfortable pillows biggest minus.
- 3/5
Very strong air freshener smell upon check in - had to air the room out for an hour to avoid headaches. Staff was kind and courteous.
- 3/5
Nesva was a no frills hotel. Beds were small only offering Full size and Twin. Upon check in the TV remote and hair dryer did not work but were fixed the next day.
- 4/5
Okay
- 3/5
The hotel itself was for the most part clean. When we arrived, after taking 20 minutes to check in and being given a smaller, lesser room because the room we booked was unavailable we finally were able to get to the room. Once upon entering, it was SO hot. The AC turns off automatically after a certain amount of time. We went out that day, and when we got back, it was off, completely.
- 5/5
Nice. Clean. Quiet. Good value.
- 5/5
We loved how easy it was to find the hotel, park in the street for free and walk to restaurants and the pub.
- 5/5
Excellent location, great customer services
- 3/5
It’s cute and small!
- 5/5
Great
- 3/5
Outdated and room air conditioner was blowing hot, not cold. They said they go fix it and if they can't they would change room but that didn't happen.
- 5/5
Nice area quiet
- 5/5
This was very close to my son’s apartment and had a balcony. I loved the courtyard and coffee station. Staff was always there and helpful. Would stay again if my son wasn’t moving to Bushwick
- 4/5
nice and quiet place good for the money. easy check in. nice stay
- 1/5
We got nothing!
- 3/5
Budget friendly hotel in an up and coming section of LIC. Bed was comfortable and they have cute nooks on the main floor to enjoy your complimentary coffee or tea. I was looking forward to a bath in the soaking tub, but there was no stopper to keep the water in the tub. Also, carpetting in the room rather old and worn looking. But on the positive, hotel was quiet, tv had plenty of channels, and the hotel felt safe even though I would have preferred a key card system to get to my floor in the elevator.
- 5/5
We had a great stay! Perfect for a night in the city.
- 4/5
Good clean hotel in a safe area and close to subway from JFK. Rooms and beds are comfortable and a good size. They just need to replace the curtains in some rooms as they're well past their due dates.
- 4/5
Had a very nice tiled outside patio. Nice room. Friendly staff.
- 5/5
We stayed here after my daughter had surgery at Lennox Hill Hospital. The room was very clean and extremely comfortable. Having the kitchen was convenient and the staff was excellent. It made her recovery much easier.
- 5/5
.
- 4/5
Nice place and close to LGA
- 5/5
There were no towels in our room upon arrival and the shower head didn’t have any adjusters so the spray was strong.
- 1/5
I booked a stay at this hotel but our travel plans unfortunately had to change and we were not able to check in on the first day. I called them to tell them we were delayed and would check in the next day. I also asked them to add someone else to the room so we could check in separately. I thought we were all squared away and when we showed up the next day they had given away our room!! We had to find another hotel. I messaged Hotels.com and they were good about trying to help, and at the time the hotel had not charged us. But I just checked my credit card statement and they did in fact charge me when they were the ones who gave away the room. I've never written a review like this, but I've also never had worse service.
- 2/5
Pay for decorw for ky qifw bday .check in 10 pm and still nothing done afyer i ask while.checking it if it was done and he told me yes. Only ro surprise my wifw with a empty room
- 5/5
Hotel was clean and quiet (surprising for NYC). Nice views from the balcony and the bed was comfortable. AC made a lot of noise and the shower wasn’t draining well, but overall definitely worth the price and exceeded expectations!
- 5/5
Great stay with my son, very close to 3 subways.
- 3/5
Parking no available
- 5/5
First trip to NYC. We were nervous about where to stay that was reasonable (by NY standards). This small hotel is 2 blocks for a train station. That was super convenient. I felt safe making the walk with my daughter in the evening hours after a day in the city. The room is smaller than standard but it was really nice, clean, etc. Bathroom was modern, new towels. Staff was super. Let us check our luggage to accommodate checkin and check out.
- 4/5
Close to Manhattan.
- 5/5
Great value for the area. Will stay again! Excellent service. Near restaurant and grocery.
- 5/5
And the room was also very clean and tidy. Its design was cool as well. The bed was so comfortable that I could have a good sleep. I’ll book this hotel next time again
- 4/5
Nice staff
- 5/5
Such a pleasant surprise! So clean, great staff, easy parking, and close to subway. We had a great night’s sleep!!! A hidden gem we plan to use again! Also found an amazing local coffee shop less than 100 yards away!
- 3/5
The hotel is a little old. Staff is not friendly but ok. Air conditioning does not work well.
- 3/5
Good cafe just around the corner. Subway stop just down the block.
- 4/5
Overall, I enjoyed my stay & will likely book another stay sometime before the end of the year.
- 5/5
Nice bed and bath, balcony, staff…great location…
- 4/5
It was good
- 5/5
Extremely easy to get to midtown in under 20 mins via train. Perfect economy stay. Clean quite and comfortable.
- 4/5
Decent hotel but rooms are very small. Adequete and relatively inexpensive.
- 4/5
Solid if over priced option. Staff were very friendly and attentive tho thank you!
- 1/5
Hotel overall was great!! But I haven’t received my deposit back at all and the room was in great condition. It’s been a month and I feel Like they are trying to take my money!!
- 4/5
Location is good, hotel is little on the older side. No frills hotel in a good location on the border of LIC/Astoria. Good street parking available.
- 5/5
Nice view and parking benefit as a Platinum member
- 4/5
easy check in and check out
- 5/5
Lovely
- 4/5
Very quiet & comfortable stay. Staff was friendly. I will definitely return in the future.
- 4/5
I really like the area - used to live there
- 5/5
Location, staff, room excellent!! Great job! Will visit again.
- 1/5
AC not working, rust in the bathroom. Electrical missing wall plate. Damage doors.
- 1/5
AC not working, rust in the bathroom. Electrical missing wall plate. Damage doors. No help from the front desk. The Hotel should not be part of Hotels.com
- 5/5
Very nice and convenient hotel
- 5/5
This wonderful hotel is a perfect location to be close to Manhanttan via 2 subway lines, the Queens Plaza Station and the Queensborough Plaza Station, each a short 10 minute walk. The hotel has very high quality bedding and towels, super clean, and is in a quiet location (off street parking is available a few blocks away due to street construction in the area), The price is very reasonable and the hotel quality is high - we used to live in this area before moving to Europe and I recommend Nesva to all my Italian friends. Thank you to the owners and staff.
- 5/5
The property was really cute and nice. Not a whole lot around, so you'll need to arrange some kind of transportation to do anything. Great views from the balcony.
- 5/5
I was on the ninth floor it was very quiet. Had a Good Night's sleep. The only thing I would have changed. The t v was not working when I called the front desk i was inform the maintenance guy left for the night
- 5/5
The hotel entrance was smaller than I expected. We arrived late in the evening to check in and were greeted by a very nice person who quickly checked us in. The room was clean and the towels and sheets smelled very nice. This place is in a great location and look forward to staying here again in the future.
- 4/5
Shower was very strong, curtain was way too damaged.
- 1/5
Checked in at 5pm and checked out by 6pm. Did not stay the night, bathtub was filed with water, toilet didn’t flush, the bolt lock on the door did not function. Complained to the front desk person Rafael and asked for another room and he told me he didn’t have another room and I would have to wait until the following business day to get the bathroom fixed. I left immediately after booking another hotel nearby and requested a refund from Nesva hotel.
- 3/5
The bathroom was not maintained. There were holes in the wall where something used to be mounted. There was rust on the walls which was painted over as an attempt to cover it up. The hair dryer was broken in the bathroom. The towels were stained and gross looking. The common area to eat was a very small island. Since the rooms are so small, there should be an area where guests can eat. The tv reception was horrible and we couldn’t even watch all the local channels, as they were not part of the cable package.
- 5/5
This place is awesome!! I will be returning.
- 3/5
For one night it was not bad. The front desk attended didn’t tell me there’s only 2 hour parking our front when I asked about parking :(
- 3/5
They would do well to make small upgrades- better bedding, a shower curtain that actually fits, nicer rug (or no rugs at all) , nicer blinds. The front porch area is super cute too. It has potential to be nicer/more hip. Some great restaurants nearby. We walked to dinner and also had a great experience for drinks at Dutch Kills pub down the street.
- 5/5
Neighborhood is industrial/transitional, but felt safe, with numerous restaurants/bodegas, and is only two blocks from the subway.
- 5/5
A lovely family owned hotel with excellent views of Manhattan. Rooms were spacious & well cared for if a bit dated. Beautiful balconies & a good value.
- 5/5
Great stay! Great price! Perfect location for public transportation. Would have loved it if the room got a little colder, but it was hot outside and we were on 7th floor. All else perfect!
- 4/5
Nice place. Small rooms. Expedia says sound proofed, but no. Expedia also says they have breakfast available for a fee, but there is no breakfast at all.
- 5/5
The room was super clean and very comfy, I also loved the little outside patio area and the coffee in the morning. Staff was incredibly friendly and helpful! Especially to a city newbie like me who was a little scared lol Highly recommend!!!
- 3/5
Carpet looked dirty in the hotel room and found a toe nail clipping in my bed
- 5/5
Nice hotel in a convenient location.
- 1/5
The bathtub and sink did not drain properly. There was a persistent smell of cigarette smoke in the common areas. Corridors are claustrophobic. No coffee maker in the rooms. You have to go downstairs to the kitchen to get any coffee. Closer to a college dorm than a hotel.
- 5/5
The hotel staff are just amazing. I had a very hectic work schedule and they were able to accommodate us. The place is small and unassuming but in reality it is an oasis in this concrete desert. These are very difficult financial time ,so I hope your quality of service maintains itself and you are able to flourish and expand.
- 5/5
The hotel is nice, close to three subways (one just 2 mins away that takes you to downtown in 10mins), the staff very friendly, and they offer luggage storage for when you get there before check in and if you need it after check out, which is really convenient. They have coffee and tea all day long which was great. We got a city view room and could see the Manhattan skyline including the bridge and Empire State Building, which was so pretty. We would definitely stay here again.
- 4/5
Room was small for 2 people. Halls were very tight.
- 5/5
The hotel is very quiet and clean, 2 blocks away from MTA Subway system so you can be in Midtown Manhattan in 10 minutes. DKPublic which is a bar/restaurant is right on the corner, this will be you quick stop for breakfast, lunch, dinner and drinks a great local spot in the neighbourhood.
- 5/5
Hotel well located with metro nearby.
- 5/5
The hotel is neat and clean. The front desk person was very friendly and helpful. The room was really orderly and clean. There were some old finishings in the bathroom and the floor is not new, but overall, a great find for the price.
- 1/5
We checked in at the hotel and it’s not really hotel. It looks like a row home turned into a hotel. The room was filthy. Carpets were not vacuumed. The pillow cases had makeup stains. Sheets had red stains. We immediately left and went to a Hilton down the street. Much better. The hotel manager apologized but did not refund due to their policies. They assume people people have to stay since it was prepaid. Not a good way to run a business but some people think short term.
- 5/5
The hotel is great
- 5/5
I liked the easy access to the subway and the entire stay but I didn’t like there was no access to the roof
- 4/5
Overall great stay.
- 4/5
Great shower, large bathroom. Comfy beds. Only a few bock walk to subway. Clean room. Microwave, fridge & small safe in room. Reasonably priced for a good night’s sleep not too far from Manhattan and airport.
- 5/5
Everything was so nice and clean. The stuff was very nice and the hotel has nice location. Worth the money.
- 5/5
The staff was so friendly, such a breath of fresh air compared to other places in the area. Views from the balcony were better than expected! And so close to several train stations, definitely will be returning.
- 2/5
Wifi was horrible and I could not do any of my work that I needed to do. The shower was very loud, I think there was a pipe issue cause the tub barely drained during each shower. The staff walked into our rooms unnannounced (even with do not disturb sign on door) at least 3 times, thank God we were decent each time. Very disappointing for the price, but at least we had a balcony!
- 5/5
Nesva Hotel was very nice place during our vacation. The front-desk staff were very nice, the room was quiet and I appreciated their commitment to be eco friendly. Lastly, they are in a friendly neighborhood with several breakfast options in the vicinity as well as a subway station (Dutch Kills) for easy access to navigate NYC.
- 5/5
It was very comfortable clean nice helpful staffs
- 5/5
Excellent ubication and staff, the only bad thing wast the shades of the room where a little shredded
- 5/5
The owner was on the front desk taking care of the checkin. Truly a good experience.
- 5/5
Very good value. Amazing situation in Long Island City, and easy access to Subway to Manhattan and Airports. Close Cafes, Delis and Restaurants. Free Tea and Coffee and lovely host. Thank you
- 4/5
Good hotel, room was perfect for us, the location is the best, two blocks away from the subway station, you can be in the city in 10 minutes.
- 4/5
I didn’t like the fact that the door next to ours had it cracked open the whole time which made it feel like a motel. The construction in the morning woke me up and the furniture/rooms were just a bit outdated. Overall, good hotel but nothing that will wow you.
- 5/5
Very good
- 3/5
Not what you expect to see looking at the pictures online.
- 5/5
I was a little nervous when our Uber pulled in front of the hotel, because the construction going on on the outside made the whole place look a little shady. The staff was very friendly and the inside of the hotel was super cute. Our room was clean, comfortable, and unique. We would definitely stay here again.
- 5/5
It good place for couple days in NYC
- 5/5
Clean and roomy space. Nice view. Clean bathroom. All the necessities were delivered well
- 3/5
Although clean, didn’t “feel” clean. Drain in shower took 30 minutes to drain.
- 4/5
The staff was very friendly and helpful! There are a couple delis and restaurants nearby. It's about two blocks from the subway station. It's a very convenient place to stay when visiting the city as long as you don't plan on spending too much time in the room. The rooms are a bit small, but they were clean. This is one of the only hotels I've stayed in since the pandemic that still offers cleaning service during your stay, so that was nice!
- 5/5
Very well communicated with downtown NYC and with Airport. Very friendly personnel
- 5/5
Last minute stay here, as our flight back to cincinnati got canceled. Very friendly staff, very clean room. Beautiful city view 💓 although we wernt here long if we ever needed to stay again we differently would.
- 1/5
Bed bugs, clogged sinks and bathtubs.. booked for 2 nights stayed for 1. Waiting on my refund.
