Location was great Little things like no garbage can in the room. No automated lighting system.
- 4.5/5
great location, great staff and lovely comfortable rooms Only one restaurant option - surprised there isn’t a stunning Asian restaurant option in addition to the bar/cafe option
- 5/5
Great location beautiful view from our room. Great fitness and pool. Great restaurant with beautiful view
- 4/5
Great location, with plenty of shops and restaurants nearby. Since it was raining during our stay, it was nice that we hardly needed to leave the hotel. The service was exceptional—everyone was friendly, helpful, and consistently went above and beyond to make our stay enjoyable. The indoor pool was also a highlight, and we appreciated that they had toys available for children. Only small things and certain aspects of the room could have been better that we’ve noticed in other luxury hotels like the toilet paper and having a switch to open the blinds.

Great location The rooms are very old and worn out, definitely not worth the money.

This hotel exceeded all my expectations, from the staff, to the room, and the restaurant. They were extremely dog friendly, and we felt right at home. The room was gorgeous and stacked. The food was amazing and the service was impeccable. The only downside is the gym was a bit small and crowded. It’s in a great location, and I felt very safe. Often walked alone at night with my dog.

The location is excellent, very safe and just minutes from Central Park in Columbus Circle, with everything you need within walking distance. The restaurant likely offers one of the best views in the area, and the food was outstanding. Service, however, was a bit slow, with longer wait times even for simple requests like water. That said, the staff remained warm and friendly throughout. I would highly recommend making a reservation at the restaurant. The gym was small and often quite busy.

Wow, this place is just amazing. Its like a castle in the sky above manhattan. Staff was super helpful, they held on to a cake I had for the day, rooms were huge crazy clean and bathrooms were so so fancy. View was amazing and the local mall and location were the best. It was my wife's birthday and they left us a small cake and letter. Super sweet staff, I'll never forget this. Prices are a bit much but worth a try. Lounge gets pretty crowded, bed sheets kinda too heavy but thats just me.

Dream (front desk) gave me the worst room she could find.

This is one of the nicest NYC hotels we have stayed in. The room and view was spectacular, the staff was professional, kind, and warm, and the location is among the best in the city.
- 5/5
The best hotel I've ever been to hands down. The location is extraordinary at Columbus Circle, you can get to anywhere in New York with the metro station a few steps aways. Whole Foods and Target are right there as well as coffee shops and stores. The staff and service is phenomenal, rooms are clean and wonderful, the views of NY from the room are gorgeous. We went for our honeymoon and we couldn't be happier. Seeing my wife with a smile on her face the whole trip because of how pampered she felt was so worth it. Service from the valets, the concierges, bell boys, cleaning staff, etc is superb. We made the right choice as all of this made this trip feel magical.

no This is the worst star-rated hotel I've ever stayed in. The soundproofing is terrible; there was police sirens blaring downstairs all night. The doors aren't soundproof either; you can hear footsteps and conversations in the hallway. The room is also very small. The room cost over a thousand yuan, and breakfast wasn't included.
- 5/5
Great location, easy access to the subway system to explore all over. Great staff and hospitality. Got stuck there during a snowstorm and the staff was very helpful and friendly. Would stay here again.

You truly have an outstanding concierge team. The service was absolutely first-class both before and throughout our stay — professional, attentive and seamlessly executed. Everyone was kind, courteous and always available whenever we needed assistance. I would like to extend a special thank you to Colleen, Germán and Michael for their exceptional dedication, attention to detail and unwavering support in every situation.”

Guests have to take two different elevators to reach their room. The first one takes you to the lobby on floor # 35. The second elevator, located in another part of the building, will take you from the lobby to the room. This can take a while if there are many guests using the elevators.
- 0.5/5
I arrived at 3:30 PM for check-in, and they told me I had to wait 4 hours because all the rooms were sold out. This is the first time this has ever happened to me. The staff were very unfriendly, as if you were going to a free place, and the manager was also terrible. This was my first and last time at this hotel, and I wouldn't recommend it to anyone.
- 5/5
Staff was super! Room was very big!
- 5/5
Awesome service and everyone seemed happy. The price but it's NYC!
- 5/5
It is a beautiful hotel and an excellent location. We walked everywhere and took the subway when needed. Many restaurants and Nordstroms plus a mall all right at the hotel. It was safe, beautiful, and the room large and comfy. No complaints, and the views were incredible over Central Park. Nothing - wish it was now quite so expensive.
- 4/5
Beautiful common areas, extremely professional staff, biggest hotel bathroom ever! Bed was very comfy
- 5/5
The hotel is beautiful and the staff was amazing. Location couldn't be better. Definitely will go back. There was nothing to dislike
- 5/5
The Mandarin Oriental is first class and has a fantastic view of Central Park. After the hustle and bustle of Manhattan, this is a wonderful place to recharge and relax. The Christmas decorations were great and the kids loved the North Pole Post Office and chocolate. We would definitely come back.
- 4.5/5
Too much perfume scented common areas
- 5/5
We were very relieved to be in the such great hands at the Mondrian Oriental. I can’t say enough good things about every single aspect the staff did to make our stay special! It is truly a gem.

I have listed several experiences on this short 4 day stay. We chose the Mandran because it is close to the Lincoln Theater. My wife had a small issue with another guest. The staff was engaged and responsive. Without us having to ask, Sebastian reached out to me to follow up and went above and beyond for us to make sure we were taken care of. I truly appreciate that he took a small concern and acted on it with style. While waiting for my wife I went to the bar for a quick drink. I was surprised to see a speakeasy style bar that was very comfortable. The Bartender was very friendly, attentive and professional. He made me a cocktail called the Bangkok. It was so good, I ordered another one to go. When I returned to the room, my wife who is not a big drinker actually drank the whole thing. The attention to detail from the bar staff and manager was second to none. The Bartender was clearly one of the best. On our way out I ordered an uber on my phone. We got downstairs a tad late but the doorman had already told our driver where to wait, stopped traffic for us, and escorted us to our car. Exceptional service. I would like again the Thank Sebastian for not just giving me a meaningless apology and sympathy, but for taking action. Every encounter with every employee was professional, calm, and relaxing.

Me and my significant other have stayed at the Plaza/St. Regis/Ritz Carlton and 5 star hotels all over the planet. This was by far the best service/view/experience/food I’ve ever had. There’s Luxury and then there’s Mandarin Oriental Luxury.
- 5/5
The location is the best. And the staff are very good. The pool was closed and no one told us only when we asked . The rooms need an update it’s old. And no coffee machine in the room.
- 5/5
One of the best properties in NYC I’ve stayed in. Service was excellent and the room was very comfortable and spacious.

- 2/5
No coffee machine in the room! And incredibly over-priced. Will never stay there again!
- 5/5
Exceptional service and the staff are friendly. The room service was excellent and we asked for late check out because our flight was later and we decided to stay in room since it was raining hard outside and the person who brought our room service brought us a complimentary espresso later on and a little snack so sweet gesture. I will stay here again
- 3/5
We booked for a standard room , we didnt like the room because beds are very snall . They offered ıus a suite .with a huge additional amount with a promise of champaign . But it never came. Everyday they said sorry we forgot . We will sent it today. It is a very little issue for a ewelşknown company like mandarin. Additional sofa bed was very unconfortable and very old looking. The location is great but this money is mot worth.

The staff, in general, were very welcoming and helpful, with a special mention to Miles Gomez. He stood out for his exceptional hospitality and assistance. As someone who travels frequently, I can confidently say that Miles is one of the best front desk staff I have ever encountered.

Staff was very nice and helpful they tried to help us and make it up for the inconveniences

Our recent stay at the Mandarin was truly delightful. The service was impeccable, our room comfortable and tastefully appointed. You can’t beat the location on Columbus Circle. It was the perfect venue for a celebration weekend.
- 5/5
Spacious, fanatastic service. Hotel is aging but aging well!
- 3.5/5
Given the price tag room felt a bit dated and small. Sadly room service made mistakes and the door men are not well informed/misinformed rg parking.
- 4/5
Location good ; staff very helpful Swimming pool surrounds not as luxurious as they should be at this price. Sauna too cool. Carpet in bedroom tired. No real lounge fir residents ( only coffee bar/restaurant- always crowded)
- 5/5
The suites, staff, and views were amazing!

Beautiful hotel! Great experience
- 4/5
Ok stay, disappointed that we waited 60 minutes to receive our room. Arrived at about 230 pm. Checkin was 3 pm, but our room was not available until about 330. Don’t expect this type of service from such a hotel brand!
- 5/5
Great location, amazing staff
- 5/5
Close to Central Park. Great views. Clean and spacious. Great service.
- 5/5
We were very pleased in our stay at the Mandarin Oriental. Since we arrived, Luis made us feel at home. Every night our bed was made perfectly ready for us to jump and have a wonderful sleep (bonus points for the comfortable pillows). In general our stay was wonderful, cannot wait to stay here again!
- 1/5
Staff unfriendly both at front door and reception. Pool has only a couple chairs to sit at. Interior alarm to our room went off took an hour to shut it off at 3 am. No apologies from hotel or compensation.
- 5/5
The stay was amazing. Staff treats you like royalty they escort you around and smile at you - so kind. The hotel and views are remarkable.
- 4/5
There is a slight imbalance in the current value proposition, as the property will very soon require a facelift.
- 5/5
We love this property and spend a weekend here every year in the summer. The staff are so welcoming and helpful. The rooms are gorgeous. Always a great time at MO !
- 5/5
Excellent hotel to stay
- 5/5
Good food at the lounge. Property well maintained although signs of aging are visible (eg some of the carpets in lower foyer) and there was an odd smell in the hallway. Overall an excellent experience; would return in the future.
- 5/5
The service has been wonderful.
- 5/5
Amazing service and great amenities.
- 5/5
The staff was amazing and treated my family wonderfully. Provided two panda (stuffed animals) for my kids and promptly brought room service to us late at night. Great place. thanks.
- 5/5
One of our favorite places to stay in NYC.
- 5/5
Friendly staff. Quick to serve.
- 5/5
Perfect location. Luxurious room and good service.
- 3/5
The room was not up to the standards for the hotel of this category and price. This room would be great at Marriott. It was small, irregular shape, poorly decorated, didn’t have a coffeemaker or even teabags. You can’t compare it with Ritz or even good Hyatt.
- 5/5
Cons: none
- 5/5
Service was great. I just wish they had better breakfast options. 45 for eggs is just not it.
- 5/5
Nicest hotel in NYC. Was upgraded to a suite larger than my house with breaktaking Central Park views. The management was so attentive. Made us feel important but we are so not so. Can't wait to go back
- 5/5
All staff were super attentive and great. I’d stay again and highly recommend to anyone. Surprisingly quiet in busy spot. Can’t beat the location and views.
- 5/5
amazing staff amazing service
- 5/5
Great service, clean, well appointed rooms. Great views and great room service!!
- 1/5
The property is great and I've been a guest there many times since it opened. But this time, the check-out was challenging, I left a day early, and their response was that I had to call Expedia. And, of course, I called Expedia, and they indicated I had to settle it with the hotel. This ping-ponging of a guest from agent to hotel to agent to hotel does not seem meritory in a luxury property one leaves behind thousands of dollars.
- 5/5
It was an experience you don’t forget. Would love to return again!
- 4/5
We rarely spend this kind of $$$$ on hotels but enjoy doing so now and then. At the same price, THE FOUR SEASONS rooms are much more satisfying, more fully decorated and furnished. However, it is still very comfortable—as you’d hope—and our meals in Mo Lounge were satisfying, if extraordinarily expensive, you know, like there’s a $40 burger. If you know what you’re going to pony up and you’re ok with that, it’s a treat, though next time I look for a luxe experience I’ll easily pay half of what I did here! Staff is terrific, for the most part, through evening service at Mo Lounge was surprisingly inattentive. Took me awhile to get a glass of water.
- 3/5
Cons: Room was dated. Pillows were too HUGE to sleep on No coffee in the room Room wasn’t ready at 3pm as promised
- 5/5
Doorman were excellent! They were attentive, courteous and observant!
- 5/5
Staff was very nice and accommodating. My wife did a few of the spa treatments and said they were the best she ever had.

I booked a room for 3 and arrived to find that they are charging me $95 for a rollaway bed for my daughter. This was not made clear when I booked the room.
- 2/5
Tired and shabby for a 5*. Staff blasé. Room noisy. Good location for Park, 5th Ave etc. doesn’t compare to other MO globally.
- 4/5
Everything was excellent. The only critique is my room view could’ve been better.
- 5/5
Very easy to get to the Appel room for a tv taping. I could access from the hotel.
- 4/5
Requires better dining options Good location

Friendly, clean, fast service
- 3/5
My bedroom was very small and very dark with no view. The bathroom was good. Too many elevators to take to get to your floor. A long wait to get into the bar.
- 5/5
Great staff- friendly & knowledgeable Great location
- 5/5
Went to NYC for 11 year old daughters b-day weekend. The hotel staff acknowledged her birthday and made us feel cared for and special going the extra mile with extra service touches. We felt spoiled and appreciated with personalized care. Chandra from housekeeping checked in on us every night to see if we needed anything and was incredibly kind to my daughter with personalized service. Most memorable service experience ive had a hotel in a long time.
- 5/5
I had forgotten how small the room was however, it proved to be sufficient, and we had a lovely stay

The facilities are Too old and the cutleries in restaurant are cheap and dirty.
- 5/5
Front desk and housekeeping are both very nice. They changed me room twice until I was completely satisfied with the view / location. They brought me free water and fruits everyday. The breakfast restaurant is divine. They helped me connect my laptop to the large screen TV.
