Reviews
The hotel receives generally positive reviews for its location, staff, and cleanliness. However, some guests have issues with the service, room size, and amenities.

The room was very comfortable and spacious. The staff was helpful and professional. The location worked for my activities in NYC. The elevator was often slow and seemed to be limited in space and pace of availability. There was a private event in the bar/restaurant one evening -- it would have been nice to have advance notice that it would be off limits.
- 4.5/5
The rooms are large and the rooms are quiet . I had a room facing the Hudson on a high floor The staff was friendly and accommodating. The cleaning staff was also very nice and helpful. Comfortable bedding , large tv , small fridge in the room Nice views from the various decks / restaurant / bar . It's a big hotel , full of tourists based on its location . Elevators are full at times and you may have to wait. Some wear and tear , It may be the to change the stained bed frame covers in particular.

Location and cleanliness Bar and rooftop closed for a private function the evening we checked in. No coffee making facilities in room or reception area. Asked for a Coffee at the bar and they said breakfast was over. TV not working properly on our arrival…

This hotel was a perfect spot for seeing some shows and being NYC tourists! The room was very comfortable and clean and had a nice (side) view of Times Square, and was very quiet even though there was a ton going on. It was also super easy to get to the subway when we needed it. I’d definitely stay there again especially since we got a good deal on the room for the location.

Upon arrival, I was assigned an older room on the 31st floor that looked nothing like the photos online. The bathroom lights did not work, and I was told I needed to insert the room key to activate the lights. After expressing my concerns, I requested a room change and was moved to a room in the newer wing. While the second room was somewhat better, it still fell short in terms of cleanliness and overall condition. The carpet was stained, the cabinets were worn and outdated, and the bed was extremely hard and uncomfortable.
- 4/5
This was a decent hotel right in the thick of the action. My only issue was they closed down the balcony for an entire evening because of a private event. The balcony was why I booked this hotel so it was a bit disappointing

Location!! Perfectly situated in the theatre district. Easy to walk to so many places. The staff was very friendly. The room and hotel was clean and well maintained. Patio bar was awesome (once you got a drink...see below), including a cool active bee hive! Elevators. Both the elevator from street level and the one that went to the rooms were incredibly slow. You literally had to add up to 10 minutes to how long it would take to meet someone in the lobby. Also didn't like the one, long line for getting drinks to go out on the patio. There were sometimes 10 people ahead of us. Finally, I had to ask for the $10 "automatic" daily rebate for any food or drink charges that were made to the room. The invoice at checkout did not have any credits.

Our vacation dates were June 4-7, 2026. The first room we received overlooked another building which blocked our “city view” and the toilet was dirty. We requested another room and were moved to a cleaner room with a better view. The rooms are smaller in comparison to hotel rooms in Louisiana for the same price. You are paying for the location and not the room size. The staff were professional except for one of the housekeepers. He argued with us when we requested more towels. The bar is nice and there's plenty of seating in the bar/lobby area. The rooftop area seating is limited at night. The rooftop area was roped off in various areas for private events. You might need to reserve a spot if you want a good view of Time Square from the rooftop. The last day of our stay, two out of four elevators were working which caused major delays moving up and down. The wait times were 30 minutes!! That was ridiculous. I would recommend getting a view of “Time Square” and on the lowest floor possible in case the elevators are broken, then you can take the stairs. We stayed on the 19th floor and the stairs weren't an option for my mother-in-law.

- 3/5
Front desk staff was not friendly at all. Did not make me feel welcome.
- 3.5/5
The hotel location is excellent , but there is no match for the size of the room, 35 square meters, when its size is significantly no more than 20 square meters. The bathroom is outdated, without toiletries that are customary at such price levels.
- 4.5/5
The location was excellent and made it very easy to explore the city. We went to see a show on Broadway, and being able to walk there was incredibly convenient. The room was clean, comfortable, and more spacious than we expected. Despite being very close to Times Square, the room was surprisingly quiet, and we had no trouble getting a good night's sleep. Nothing in particular. The only small improvement would be having a kettle in the room and complimentary coffee and tea, which would have been a nice added convenience.

Location is unbeatable, staff was very friendly and helpful as well as the breakfast was for American standards an absolute plus. They need to fix the elevators. The first two are super slow, of the next 4 only a maximum of 2 were working during our 4 night stay.

Nice rooms, spacious. Great location to midtown. Lovely rooftop. Quiet, despite proximity to Times Square. Friendly stuff, especially in the restaurant. The rooms were both humid and cold, which I didn’t understand. The elevators can be very slow, and expect a queue especially in the evening. We got hit with a smoking charge out of nowhere, despite not smoking. Didn’t bother fighting it because I hear everyone who does loses. Don’t love that.

We loved the location and view. Having coffee overlooking Times Square was very nice. Theatres were in walking distance. It was very close to the subway station. Using the subway we could go easily to pretty much everywhere. Our room was interconnected with another room via a double door. Our neighbours were very loud. The connecting doors can have more isolation.
- 3/5
The hotel itself was fine and in good location. However when booking a King room with city view, don’t believe the picture on the site. Our city view was not towards Times Square, but was facing a crane doing construction 2 buildings away. Also the rooftop bar is relatively small and is open to the general public. Of the 5 nights we stayed at the hotel, we were able to get a seat on the side that faces Times Square only once. And since it is open to the public, we also had to wait in line for 10 minutes to use the elevator that takes you from the street level to the lobby where the bar is. They should at least allow actual guests of the hotel to have priority on the elevator.
- 4/5
The light over the mirror in the bathroom did not work. Not enough lighting in the bathroom to put on makeup. One guest ended up vomiting and called the front desk to see about removing the vomit in the trash can from the room and they were less than helpful. I did put it outside of the room and it was later picked up. Again, only one towel in the room per guest and no offer if we needed anything. On a positive note, the room was clean and had a great view. The lobby area was very nice and inviting. Fun area to hang out in. Would suggest having coffee/expresso available all day.

My 1st visit to Manhattan, NY was everything!! The stay was #1 and the food and Broadway plays were excellent. The most was the view from my room at MSocial, seeing Times Square at a high level. OMG!
- 1/5
Patio was out of function so you could not sit outside to explore the view. That was the reason I booked. The room was EXTREMELY cold, & I mean COLD for the month of June. Heater apparently is out of function spring onwards. We asked for a mini heater which was not available. Did not get to sleep at all.
- 4/5
Great location if you're planning to watch shows. You can walk to theaters within 5-12 minutes.
- 4/5
MSocial is reasonably priced for a nice hotel a few steps off Broadway. It has a view of Times Square from the 5th floor bar/restaurant. Had a little problem with our initial room, but the manager was very helpful in moving us to a better room. All in all, we would definitely stay there again.

The hotel has a very good location at the north end of the Times Square area. Close to subways, museums and theaters but not the crowded noisy Times Square itself. The roof top bar looked nice though we didn’t actually use it. It isn’t very big so you probably need to get there early. My wife found the bathroom and room lighting to be poor for applying make-up. The small refrigerator for guest use was great. In our room the heating didn’t work but we survived without it since if we just turned off the air the temp rose on its own the two degree increase we wanted. We told the housekeeper who said she would check on it but it never improved. We should have called it in. The lobby location on the 7th floor is a little quirky. You have to go thru the lobby to get to the elevators that take you to the ground floor entrance. We got used to it.

I regrets saying here. The room conditions were disgusting. The staff charged $500 for a “smoking fee” when I was only getting my hair done. Staff was not able to provide me with any proof or report from their sensor and refused to conduct an inspection when I requested them to do so. Besides I was told my destination fee would be $137 US dollars and they charged $211.46 at the end. Bed head rest was peeling off and mirrors were nasty. I will be escalating this for sure. Do not make a reservation.

Great location. Easy access to everything. Many places to see and eat in the area. Minutes away from theaters, on foot. BUT, they keep the AC at their chosen temperature, even though each room as a panel ''to control'' your own. The room was unpleasently warm. Don't miss the view from the terrace, if you do go!

This hotel is far too over priced. It is very dated. The rooms are dusty and the bathrooms need attention. You arrive street level and elevator to lobby. The elevators to the room can get crowded at peak times. They charge package handling fee to do literally nothing but accept your package and hold on a trolley at street level porter station. They didn't even deliver to our room. The best feature of the hotel is the bar lounge restaurant. Good food, great breakfast, nice wait staff and great nightly entertainment. Location of this hotel is convenient as well with views of the tip of Time Square. Would I stay here again. Probably not.

This is my 3rd time staying at M Social. It is conveniently located. The staff is great. Clean, quiet, Elli, the housekeeper on the 20th floor is a gem! Wouldn't change a thing. Can't wait to come back in January!
- 5/5
We chose M. Social because we wanted to be close to Studio 54 Theater. We were in town to see a show there multiple times. The location was amazing. We were close to exactly where we wanted to be. The room was very nice. The hotel was fantastic. We were too busy to use the fitness center but enjoyed the roof top lounge area. The only, and I mean only criticism I could find is that during peak times the elevators could be a little bit of a wait. But with that being said, I would definitely stay here again, the positives outweighed that one tiny thing.

The hotel impressed me primarily because of its excellent location, as everything important is very close by. The room was extremely clean, and the bed was very comfortable, which allowed me to sleep really well. The bathroom was practical and nicely maintained. I would especially like to highlight the excellent breakfast with a wide selection, as well as the very friendly and helpful staff who contributed to a pleasant stay. My satisfaction with the hotel significantly contributed to the overall enjoyment of my visit to New York, making it even more beautiful and carefree. I would gladly return.

Excellent location. Clean very comfortable modern rooms big by NYC standards. . My main grouse was the ONLY way to get to lobby is via 2 lifts. There was an event going on one of the nights and we had to jostle with the LOOOONG queues waiting for the lifts. We were tired and just wanted go back but had to wait in Q with all the rest of the event goers. No priority at all for hotel guests and no stairs to use either. Please think about prioritising your guests when you have events
- 5/5
The location alone is perfect. We love the rooms and the staff. The lobby and bar area is nice but always has too many people just standing around. We like to grab a drink or work on the couches and they are always occupied by an excessive amount people trying to check in. The elevator was a bit of a hassle. One has been broken both times we stayed there in the last 2 months. Other than that the stay is always a positive one.

The location of the hotel is perfect. All major metro lines are easy to reach, and many important sights are within walking distance. The view from our room was phenomenal, and the rooftop terrace is also excellent. Daily room service was provided, and the rooms are very well insulated — we were never disturbed by street noise or neighbors. There are no elevators that go directly from the street to the rooms. You always have to first take an elevator to the lobby and then switch to another one. The elevators leading to the street exit can sometimes involve longer waiting times.

Nothing stood out at me and I work in hospitality. Well upon check in. The lady tried to overcharge us because of early check in. We left to add more money to the credit card. Came back to check in and a different lady was there to check us in. She asked how much was the previous lady charging and she said that was too much so she charged us less. There needs to be one set price because the hotel was getting over on us because we were from out of town. Also there was a very visual stain on the chaise chair, the room was very dusty. I had to dust everything myself. Overall a bad experience for me.

Everyone on staff that we came in contact with was so nice and helpful. We had a Times Square view, the beds were comfy, pillows were great and the room was well appointed. I appreciate that there was a full length mirror and a plug near it to do your hair while someone else was in the bathroom. It was easy to store luggage both the morning we arrived and the day we were checking out. I was traveling with my teenager and felt safe in this location. It was nice that the room key was necessary to go higher than the lobby. We were able to check in a couple hours early, which was greatly appreciated because by then we had spent the entire morning and half of the day in New York City and we’re ready for a rest! We will definitely stay there again.

I enjoyed the atmosphere of the hotel, the rooftop bar area was large! Location and bar
- 4/5
Clean room but bathroom outdated and clogged problem
- 4/5
Great place to stay in NYC. M Social is one of our favorite places!!!
- 1.5/5
The lobby lounge was very cozy and nice. The room was terrible. Bathroom hasn’t been cleaned. Some mold on the bath and the curtain was stinky. Holes in the walls. Dust on every surfaces. No coffee machine. For the price it was extremely basic and clearly not a room that had attention.
- 3.5/5
Location and terrace overlooking time square were great. Amnesties, no coffee machine / microwave in rooms. If you didn't gave breakfast package you had to wait until 12 for the bar to open for coffee. Some staff were not friendly.
- 4/5
The hotel is a few blocks from Times Square, a little noisy due to roadworks. Breakfast is not too bad, I don't know if it's worth $30 Not very clean, the hotel is not new
- 5/5
Finally find a excellent place to stay at NY
- 5/5
The staff were very helpful and attentive. The rooms were clean, comfortable, and quiet. The breakfast was delicious with beautiful view of the Times Square. The property is conveniently located close to Times Square and Central Park with many nice shops and restaurants nearby.
- 3/5
Well I was confused when I checked in , you go into a lower small lobby then take an elevator up to ck in desk just a really strange set up . Overall if you need a few days and don’t expect luxury the beds are comfortable and it’s clean just basic older hotel . Absolutely not worth the nightly rate . The elevators are always in use there is a constant crowd of people trying to go up or down snd there is a line to go down the elevator to go out of the hotel . It’s just so bizarre. Hotel is old nothing fancy . Location is excellent right in time square . Excellent steak house right next door . The staff in the front is extremely nice and informative. Again strange things in this hotel . No microwave and no coffee maker , I called on the last day of the stay to see if the kitchen can warm up my food and they said oh we can send a microwave to your room I guess you have to ask for a microwave or a coffee maker very strange . I’m just used to these things being a basic thing when you rent a hotel especially a high end hotel . In the the shower you have to get all wet with cold water when you turn it on and the soap is placed on the same side as the shower head instead of the opposite side like it’s supposed to . Just everything is out of place . Finally the biggest blow is check out I payed close to 400 bucks on resort fee I was like for what ? A low budget no name brand hectic chaotic elevator situation hotel that’s not updated. . Very disappointing. Cute though !
- 4/5
Our room was spacious and nice. Linens were great. Our king-size bed was stiff as a board. Not comfortable at all. The reviews had all mentioned how comfortable the beds were so maybe we just had a bad one, I don't know. Shower was nice but the last day we had no hot water! Location is awesome with a Walgreens nearby and lots of theaters and restaurants. We ate in their restaurant the first night and it was fine - pizza was good, fish 'n' chips were OK. Loved the bar and the lounge area. Nice place to relax and meet other people before going out.
- 5/5
Walking distance to Times Square and Broadway. And a Whole Foods very close!! Great location!
- 5/5
This was our second visit, the hotel is centrally located, rooms are a good size and very clean and comfortable. The staff are lovely, very friendly and helpful.
- 5/5
Great location. Upscale. Nice bar and gym.
- 4/5
We got a $10 credit each day towards food or beverages. We were told the bar closed each night at 12:30 with last call at 11:30. One night we got there at 10:15 and it was already closed. Two other days, last call was even earlier. Very frustrating to not be able to use our credit.
- 1/5
Things happen and that’s fine, but their lack of communication about the issues and measly efforts to make up for the situation put it at the top of my list to never stay there again.
- 4/5
Decent size room with good amenities. Staff were super friendly and helpful. Breakfast was ok. Would stay again especially due to the location being close to the theatre district, walking distance to 5th Ave and Times Square.
- 5/5
Yes
- 5/5
Room was a great size and had a view of time square. Rooftop was huge but too cold and rainy to use during our trip. Very close to theaters!
- 4/5
The check in process was slow. Considering it was a busy evening, I expected there to be more staff to accommodate guests. The hallway smelled of cigarettes or old carpet. The room lacked a coffee machine. The fitness center was quite spacious but the bike was broken (seat would not adjust) and none of the televisions on the machines would connect to the internet. I found to be frustrating and a lack in attention to detail. On the positive, the room was pretty spacious and our view was excellent. The blankets, pillow, bed, towels, shower pressure were all pleasant.
- 3/5
Bar staff was very rude. Had to request the manager to obtain a drink after sitting there 20plus minutes with no service then was very rude to myself and the couple sitting next to me
- 4/5
Very pleasant stay, nice view on Time Square, very quiet room, great lobby with lounge bar, very nice staff
- 5/5
Good
- 3/5
Wish the bathrooms and rooms were cleaner
- 4/5
Great stay! Bed was super comfy and the view was incredible. Bathroom was small and they never refilled the shampoo but overall I would definitely stay again and recommend to others.
- 5/5
Location is excellent for walking around major NYC attractions
- 5/5
Perfection place for family. Great view
- 5/5
Great location and the service was excellent. Reasonably priced room with adequate space.

The best part
- 4/5
Great location, fun bar and lobby. Hotel was clean and staff was friendly.
- 4/5
Excellent dinner food
- 5/5
Great location right in Times Square, making it easy to walk to major attractions and catch the subway. The hotel has a modern, trendy vibe with clean, comfortable rooms and nice city views. Staff are friendly and helpful, and the overall atmosphere feels lively but still relaxing inside. Solid choice if you want style and convenience in the heart of the city.
- 5/5
This was our third time staying here and it never disappoints. Large rooms, great staff and an amazing location!
- 5/5
The terrace is lovely and the lobby is always busy which gives it a cosy and comfortable feel, we would highly recommend this hotel.
- 4/5
The location and amenities of the property made this a great location for our family of four. The rooms were in good condition and the proximity to everything was what we wanted making this a great stay.
- 5/5
Breakfast buffet was good, wait times can be long if you wake up late, clean room staff was nice, location is good. Lobby smells good.
- 3/5
Be prepared for slow elevators. Expect to wait a while coming and going, often packed tightly with other guests. Rooms are small but functional. Nothing fancy, but perfectly adequate. The AC struggled to keep the room cool. Even set to 65°F, it stayed around 75°F, which made sleeping uncomfortable. Opening the windows helped with airflow, but also let in a lot of street noise. The bar downstairs is good, though fairly pricey, which is typical for the area.
- 5/5
Room was very clean. Location was perfect for what we were looking for. Right in Times Square and close to everything we wanted to do
- 5/5
Great location for sightseeing, food, subways, and shopping. Room was quiet, secure and comfortable. The internet WiFi was kind of slow. If they can improve it that would be perfect.
- 5/5
The property it’s very conveniently located
- 5/5
The staff made sure to keep our rooms clean and restocked clean towels for when we returned at the end of the day.
- 2/5
Great hotel. Just the breakfast line is a nightmare!! Something should be done about that!
- 5/5
Great stay! Friendly staff and the best housekeeping! Like most hotels in spring, the rooms were very hot, around 78 to 80 degrees—that's the only downside.
- 5/5
We took our granddaughter on her first trip to NYC. MSocial was the perfect home base for our stay. Our room overlooked Times Square. We were able to walk to many places, including Wicked. The staff were super friendly.
- 5/5
Loved it. Will stay again. Location was perfect. Room was huge for nyc and views were amazing. Bar and outdoor seating were my favorite.
- 2/5
The hotel is very dusty so is the rooms. Not satisfied with this
- 5/5
Bathroom needs a bit of an upgrade.
- 5/5
Everyone at m social is doing a great job. Wonderful start
- 5/5
M social was great for a Times Square hotel! Offered a pretty spacious room for NY and we loved the view from the outside bar.
- 5/5
The staff was friendly and very helpful
- 5/5
This hotel had it all! Location was perfect! Our room was always clean and restocked. The amenities were on point a staff was so helpful and friendly. Can’t leave out a great rooftop bar. Will definitely be back!
- 5/5
M Social is the perfect location for seeing Broadway shows. The room was clean, and the staff friendly and helpful.
- 2/5
Hotel is just ok. No door help, have to take a slow elevator to the lobby, then another elevator to your room. Lobby was super crowded and chaotic at check-in and check-out. Staff was ok but not super friendly. They had rooms ready but charge $75 for early check-in regardless. Room was small and dark with very little light, terrible bathroom lighting, not a lot of extra towels. No hair dryer had to call for one. Fire drill performed during the day with very little warning. Alarms blared so loud for 15 min and elevators were shut down. Had to take the stairs but it was a maze of hallways to get to the lobby. Night manager was rude when we asked about using our hotels.com credit for room service since one of us was sick and could go not to the restaurant. Was told no we can’t use our credit unless we eat there no exceptions. Location was ok next to Neil Simon theater where we saw MJ which was fantastic and was the bright spot of our stay. Would not recommend.
- 2/5
The breakfast was average
- 5/5
Traveled with a child- everything was clean and safe. Friendly staff.
- 5/5
This hotel and everything about it from the time you walk in until checkout was 100%! First class service and amenities. We really enjoyed our stay and slept like babies at night. Shower was good pressure too which is rare to find. I will definitely stay here again.
- 4/5
The elevators could use a little oil. Once in the elevators it feels muggy. Inconvenient to take two sets of elevators when going up and down.
- 5/5
next to anything and everything
- 1/5
Small rooms. 700 hold on credit card upon arrival. Water shut off in entire building last day of trip.
- 4/5
Great room
- 5/5
Book it! It’s amazing—convenient, eclectic, clean, all the things! Open terrace over Times Square is superb! Get the breakfast buffet—so good with best view!
- 4/5
Great view. Very lively and fun spot.
- 1/5
Absolutely horrible service all around and room was tiny especially the bathroom. Literally had to close the bathroom door to get into the shower. Day 1 we received a letter on the door stating we are being charged a $500 cleaning fee for smoking in the room but the issue is nobody in the room even smokes!!!! I went to the manager and explained to her nobody smokes and she then insisted I call my credit card company to file a dispute instead of helping me (the guest) remove the bogus charge! The bar states it closes at 11:30pm but that is false as well. We showed up to have a drink before we went to the room at 11:10pm and was rudely told to go away! The last and final night we received another letter stating that the water to the ENTIRE hotel would be shut of between the hours of 11pm and 8am??? Never in my life have I ever been without running water and a toilet to flush! Great location but grimey hotel and terrible service. Bartenders cared more about talking to each other than the guests. Insane! Made my 5 night stay a bad experience all around. Shame on the management as I am in the hospitality business and would never treat any guests like this! STAY AWAY FROM MSOCIAL TIMES SQUARE!!!!
- 5/5
Good
- 3/5
There were stains on the curtains/walls/furniture, the room never cooled off. One of the 2 elevators wasn’t working for 2 days leading to people waiting 15-20 mins outside in the rain. The rooms need refreshing. It was much more visually appealing 3 years ago.
- 4/5
Great location. The “resort fee”
- 4/5
The property lobby is attractive and the reception and bar/restaurant staff are very professional and have great attitudes. I extended my stay twice and I appreciate how they worked with us to make our stay seamless. The rooms are standard a terms of size but well kept. The elevator getting from street level to lobby is a bit chaotic at times and during our stay only one of the two worked making the wait at times excessive. All in all this was a good stay. It’s conveniently located by shows, restaurants and everything in between. I still prefer their downtown location but wouldn’t rule out staying here again.
- 5/5
Clean room
- 4/5
Elevator process can be a challenge, slow and congested. If you dont fancy smell of cigarettes, this place is not for you. There were many highlights such as direct access to Broadway, Time Sqaure and all the great shopping and eating to chose from.
- 4/5
The staff was great and very helpful. Bartenders were a little slow and never looked our way to make sure no one needed anything. The room I stayed in was clean and was nice but a little small for my liking. Especially the bathroom. Overall, it was a good first experience for me in New York!
- 5/5
This hotel was super nice and clean. The morning breakfast buffet was a definite plus and having a mini fridge also a huge plus. The location is great as the subway station is just across the street and there are so many great places within walking distance. All the staff was super friendly, especially our housekeeping staff. Really wish that the TVs in the room allowed streaming or had better infotainment options. Other than that I would definitely recommend and return.
- 1/5
Dirty room, unfriendly staff
- 5/5
Excellent!
- 3/5
The location is perfect if you’re visiting to do and see all the stuff Time Square has to offer, (including Broadway shows). And also because of that, it should be no surprise to the higher price stay in NYC. But I was not satisfied with their rooms and hidden stuff. For example, you actually have to call down to ask for a coffee pot. Me and my friends did not realize this until we was packing to leave. I don’t drink coffee but she end up going to McDonald’s every morning and evening for coffee because she didn’t want to pay $8 for the coffee in M Social bar area. I’ve stayed in other hotels in Times Square and just went to M Social rooftop bar for the view and the drinks. And I will continue to just visit the rooftop bar. Their hotel rooms are average to me and I will not be booking again
- 5/5
.
- 5/5
Location of hotel is PERFECT! Rooftop PERFECT! Smooth sailing process from checkin to concierge assistance with bags PERFECT! Close to all things we desired (Times Square, Central Park, Rockefeller, American Girl, and Nintendo store along with subway access). Rooms are smaller with low beds, not the best lighting options, cleanliness not stellar, but good enough for our family. Location and friendly staff outweighs all of those things. Our second stay at this location and would definitely choose this location again. Thanks for another great experience M Social Times Square!!
- 5/5
Really nice and clean room
- 5/5
Amazing staff
- 4/5
This location is PERFECT for either a Times Square visit or a tour around Rockefeller Square. There was plenty within walking distance of the hotel to do, including food, events, and bars. The room was clean, the lobby seemed clean for the time we were there, and the staff we talked with seemed friendly. My only real complaint is that there are no clear signs telling you that you need to take the elevator to the lobby. Obviously it’s easy enough to figure out, and there were staff downstairs to tell us, but it might be harder for someone unfamiliar with the area, culture, or if someone isn’t downstairs to assist in directing them.
- 5/5
Our stay was wonderful! Perfectly situated in the theater district just a black away from the hustle and bustle of Times Square. Perfect location! The staff was so wonderful. Cindy kept our rooms sparkling clean and was so nice and helpful! She was so accommodating and made it feel like we were staying at a 5 star resort the way she treated us.
- 5/5
If you're coming to enjoy the center of New York..to see plays and shop. This is your place. Beautiful, clean, safe and staff very attentive.
- 5/5
Everything was nice. I had a brief moment of panic when a drunk man came banging on my door at midnight, but the hotel desk came to take the man to his room.
- 4/5
Hotel was pretty nice staff was nice just be aware they charge u a 40$ fee each night u stay when u check out !!
- 5/5
Extremely well located on Times Square and close to theatres.
- 5/5
Amazing location. Rooms spacious (for NYC) and clean. Staff efficient and unobtrusive. Good amenities. Only complaint is they should have body lotion in bathroom and that breakfast is overpriced.
- 5/5
When you first arrive, you take the elevator up to the lobby. The lobby has a nice bar area, and from there you’ll use your room key to access the elevators for the guest floors. Everyone we interacted with was very friendly and accommodating. We even received room credit to use toward dining and drinks, which was a great perk. The view from the patio was absolutely stunning.
- 5/5
Perfect for our stay.
- 5/5
This was such a nice find right in the heart of Times Square. The lobby was a hub and always thriving. Yet the rooms were super quiet and comfortable. Above all, the staff was absolutely outstanding. That made this a place I’ll return to each time I come for business or pleasure.
- 5/5
Very nice
- 5/5
Good
- 4/5
Drapes need to have tighter fastens when at the Times Square location.
- 3/5
There is no complementary coffee, no coffee maker in the room, nothing downstairs. Water bottle filling station on our floor didn’t work. No extra blankets so if you have multiple people in a room you can’t have another blanket for them in the bed. It was a mediocre stay even though the staff who checked us in were lovely. For the cost there should be basic things like coffee and water in my opinion.
- 5/5
Location! Safety: the door man watching us during off hours and super nice coffee cart man right outside made each morning special!
- 5/5
Excellent hotel beautiful view nice staff
- 5/5
Excellent location 10/10
- 5/5
The breakfast buffet is also annoying as you can not buy any item à la carte
- 5/5
I had a very enjoyable stay at the hotel. The staff members were consistently friendly and helpful throughout my visit. While the check-in process can become busy at certain times, it didn't detract significantly from my overall positive experience. I would be happy to recommend this hotel to others. I've stayed her on two seperate trips. The overall atmosphere was quite pleasant and welcoming.
- 5/5
Everything was exceptional
- 5/5
One of my favorite stays in nyc yet
- 3/5
Room was comfortable and clean - except the window was quite dirty (it being February in NYC) which was a hinderance for the "Times Square Ball drop view"- and the hotel itself is about three blocks north of Times Square, so it's a partial view. The lobby situation is a bit hectic. A guy on the phone gave me incorrect information about vouchers I was given (and was pretty curt the two times I spoke with him) but thankfully the person at the desk when I checked out made up for his error. Didn't love the two elevators situation (you have to take one from street level and then a second one up to the rooms) and the lobby is also a "rooftop bar". I think maybe if the people on the first level were more welcoming and engaging (and not just speaking to guests when spoken to as I found the case to be) it could improve that experience a bit. Overall, the stay was fine and very convenient for seeing Broadway shows (which is what I wanted to do)!
- 5/5
The staff was amazing, everyone was so friendly. Place was clean but busy. View was amazing! It’s close to everything and parking is close by as well.
- 5/5
Staff is very curtious and attentive. Everything was great
- 4/5
Staff was helpful
- 5/5
Very nice!
- 3/5
The room was ok. Mattress was very worn on one side. Bartenders were friendly. Dining room attendant seemed bothered to let us know what the breakfast was. Overall, not unpleasant but I've stayed at better properties for the same price.
- 1/5
Staff was okay, they don’t really communicate well , there were no toiletries in the bathroom, not enough towels since it was 4 of us. We had credits we didn’t understand how to use them. Online it had said that the room i picked was suppose to be a walk in shower, but we got a tub. I really didn’t like the hotel!
- 5/5
Great stay. Hotel and room was very clean. Staff was very friendly. Definitely recommend.
- 3/5
Rooms are small and tight
- 4/5
Great location….nice hotel perfect for family break.
- 5/5
Clean room, great view, and nice staff
- 5/5
I’ve stay in two separate occasions and both have been excellent stays! Clean, spacious and close to everything. Will definitely return!
- 5/5
Wonderful stay! Everything was great!
- 5/5
Wonderful staff. Room spotless. Requested a Keurig fir thee room as offered and it was there 5 minutes.
- 5/5
All of the above, great enviroment, clean, felt safe and staff very nice and upfront. It is my hotel of choice whenever i go visit New York city
- 5/5
Great place
- 5/5
Great option right in times square
- 5/5
Love the restaurant/bar as well - highly recommend the salmon dish for dinner. The staff are all wonderful. I’ve stayed here twice, and I know I’ll be staying again for future trips!
- 4/5
The only problem I have is the didn’t clean my room
- 1/5
The room was horrible, beds in bad conditions lobby is the worst you can find. Staff not friendly and with bad service. NEVER be back at that hotel its a Nightmare.
- 2/5
I would not recommend at all.
- 5/5
The art and the cleanliness
- 3/5
Otherwise the hotel was fine.
- 5/5
Staff at check in and out amazing. Room spotless. This is our 5th visit. We hope to return.
- 5/5
Front desk staff is absolutely top notch. I stay here quite frequently on business and have rarely had any issues with room or facilities.
- 5/5
Staff was great. Bathroom could be updated a little bit overall, very nice
- 4/5
Staff seemed very courteous
- 4/5
Staff was great. Nothing stood out as overall amazing. Room was comfortable. View of Time Square was nice. The social aspect of the hotel where bar and restaurant was, was nice. I was assisted by a male bartender who was absolutely amazing. Made it comfortable to sit at the bar alone.
- 5/5
Clean room and nice staff. Thanks for the stay! Will definitely be staying here again
- 1/5
Staff. Wrong info about parking. Error by staff at check put $900+ on hold on my debit card. When she ran it again my card was declined for going over debit card daily limit. They wouldn’t take cash.
- 5/5
Great food and customer service!
- 5/5
Gorgeous views, very clean and polite staff.
- 5/5
Clean room, great staff, and great place to get around the city. Will stay again
- 5/5
The staff was excellent and the room was clean and good but it’s all about the views and location which this hotel provides at every turn. Even the windows by the elevators offer spectacular views. And walk outside to Times Square.
- 5/5
The staff in the rooms were amazing in the lobby was so cozy for some time away from my family lol
- 5/5
Beautiful hotel
- 5/5
The room was clean and the staff was friendly
- 5/5
Friendly helpful staff, rooms were very clean and a good size, great views, great price
- 5/5
Everithing was great!
- 5/5
My favorite hotel in the Broadway district!!
- 3/5
We went just before Xmas and it was going to be very expensive for obvious reasons - but it really wasn’t worth the cost. Just had accept getting ripped off because of the dates and location.
- 4/5
My only complaint was that my family brought outside food and ate in the sitting area next to the bar. An employee comes up to us and said no outside food is allowed but we didn’t know. He asked for my room # and said “don’t take too long”. Mind you, it was a Monday evening and wasn’t busy at the bar at all. Other people came in with outside food and ate in the sitting area but the employee didn’t say anything to them.
- 5/5
As usual, I was thoroughly impressed with my stay at M Social Hotel New York Times Square. This was my fifth experience with the hotel, and my only request every time is a room with a view of Times Square. Of course, my request was respected all five times! For the first time ever, I was given my room key immediately at 11:30am (the check-in time is 4:00pm), and I greatly appreciated it. The staff at the front desk is amazing, especially the concierge who booked my airport transfer. The room was spotless. It has a small fridge that some hotels do not have. The room did not have a coffee maker though, but there was a note indicating that one could always make a request for the appliance. I will not hesitate to book another stay at this fine establishment in the very near future (May 2026).
- 3/5
The room needs some deep cleaning and upgrades. The bed was hard and creaking (I need a back massage at this point). There was rust around the air condition. Spots on the wall, and wall paper pealing. The floor could have a good deep clean. Honestly it could be a really nice hotel. Just take some extra time to do a deep clean on the place.
- 5/5
Great staff, nice room, nice amenities.
- 5/5
Nice location
- 4/5
The property is literally steps away from the heart of Times Square. Although a bit noisy at night, the convenience of restaurants and shops make up for that.
- 5/5
Spotless, clean, star very friendly
- 4/5
The destination fee of $91 was irritating. Why not just build the fee into the room cost. The only way to recoup any of that was to have something to drink in the bar and I don’t do bars.
- 5/5
The hotel was well priced for a fabulous location.
- 4/5
Room was awesome. No issues. Staff was fantastic. The only issue was line ups literally everywhere: half an hour for breakfast, half an hour for checking in, ppl lined up for elevators
- 3/5
I’m going to start with the positive ! Great location, and the bar area and bartenders the best. The outside area was nice too , you can see Times Square. Now the room was old, the bathroom was small and old as well. The mattress was very uncomfortable to say the least . The hotel definitely has potential it just needs some upgrades. This is my personal experience.
- 2/5
I had done a bunch of research on where to stay for a weekend with teenagers and the rating on Expedia was high. The photos looked great and my daughter approved! It started off well with a text message when I was at the airport inviting me to check in and asking if there was anything they could do to make my upcoming stay great. I informed them by replying that we were staying to celebrate my daughter’s sixteenth birthday, her name and that we needed a gluten free cake if they could recommend a local bakery. They said they’d make sure we had a nice room, and would have the concierge connect to assist with the cake when they came in. Initial impression… yay! That was the last I heard from the hotel. And it went down from there. The lobby was dirty, no greeter at the door, the whole experience arriving to the property made me concerned for our safety. They did not have the information I had shared via text and did not follow up with any support for a nicer room, or sourcing the cake. Our room wasn’t ready so we had to leave our bags but that meant bringing them back downstairs on our own and getting a tag and they were bunched up with many others. I was worried leaving them there. I did the check in, provided my credit card and then after having to change in the less than stellar small lobby bathroom, left for some activities.
- 5/5
Clean room, good breakfast & rooftop
- 1/5
The food was not fresh at all. The entire family threw away the food. We got down a couple bites of bacon but the sausage, eggs and potatoes were cold and tasted horrible. The waiter was rude and then tried handing me a bill over 170 dollars for two adults and 2 young kids. That bill was more than taking 4 people to a steak house in Manhattan. After I explained I already paid for the breakfasts online he had an attitude and then handed me a bill of 79.00 that was then taken off after I checked out. The whole experience was horrible. Glad we ate outside of the hotel the rest of the time we were there.
- 4/5
We only ordered coffee from room service but it arrived promptly. Staff was nice but our room was not exactly clean… beds were made but there smudges and fingerprints all over the light switches and spots all over every mirror and glassware in the room. For the price I would have at least expected it to be fully cleaned…
- 4/5
The views were amazing. Breakfast had great variety and so convenient.
- 3/5
Small bathroom. Matress was well past its best and made for an uncomfortable sleep and the bed made both my partner and i itch.
- 5/5
Only the noise of delivery trucks spoiled a great stay. Great hotel and staff
- 5/5
Loved it an would come back again
- 5/5
From in the moment we checked in, everyone was so nice. The lobby is well decorated and fun And inviting, and it's clearly deserving of the name, Social. the room was very clean, and then we had a great view of times square. It is in the middle of everything And super close to several metro stops. The bar was a lot of fun at night with the view from its rooftop bar that is second to none. We would absolutely stay here again.
- 4/5
Great location, view of river as requested, was beautiful. The system of giving credit at the bar/breakfast was irritating as using the said credit required fighting big crowds in cramped spaces with not enough help. If you don’t use it that leaves a Feeling like you ‘left something on the table’ and that subtracts from the whole experience. I’d rather was a reduction in cost or an upgrade in amenities - like soap that isn’t bolted to the wall.
- 5/5
First time in New York and M Social hotel did not disappoint. I stayed here with my two sons. It was the perfect location. We loved the vibe. All the employees were so friendly. Would definitely stay again.
- 5/5
Excellent location and stay

Staff was very kind and welcoming.
- 5/5
Had a great time. Very roomy for an nyc stay.
- 4/5
Very well located, near everywhere you need to go in NYC if are a tourist. Too busy at times, people in n out all the time. It’s not the cozy or boutique type, it’s the convenient type
- 3/5
Check in was not very accommodating. Tried to get a connecting room or downgrade our Times Square view to a city view so our rooms could be closer together. Elevators are an inconvenience. You have to go down the main rooms elevator to a separate elevator to get down to the main level and there is always a wait
- 3/5
The staff was courteous and the room was nice / as expected. However, the hairdryer did not work and the process of getting a replacement was unacceptable. It took hours and two phone calls and two trips to the front desk, before I received a replacement. The hotel said they would refund the destination fee for the inconvenience, which still has not been done over a week later.
- 4/5
room was very clean, friendly staff
- 4/5
Room was decent size for New York City. I appreciate that the room came with empty mini fridge for you to use. I think the hotel would benefits from updating their tv systems so that guests can stream or cast to the tv their favorite streaming app.
- 5/5
Good stay
- 2/5
Staff were rude not helpful didn’t give the right information about the room the food and drink very poor quality
- 1/5
I had the worst experience with Edward, the front desk manager. He promised to cancel my booking but went back on his word and refused to assist me or contact me as promised. There was a complete lack of communication; he never called me back, which was very concerning. Additionally, he repeatedly referred to me as "sir," which felt disrespectful seeing as though I was born a woman AND NEVER APOLOGIZED. He also refused to give me the details to his superior and I asked several times! Lastly, the rooms were not worth the $600 a night, even during the holiday season. I hope management addresses these issues for the sake of future guests, they have just lost a repeat guest! I would never recommend this hotel.
- 5/5
Very good
- 5/5
From the front desk to the doormen, the staff at M Social were incredible. We had two rooms, both which were very clean and spacious to be located in the city. The hotel also was in a great location, not dead in the center of TS but close enough to walk to. We felt very safe staying at this hotel and would definitely stay there again.
- 5/5
Everything Great
- 4/5
The location and hotel was very good. But we were charge about $45 each day that we didn’t know before
- 5/5
We enjoyed our stay, it was very convenient location. Staff was pleasant
- 5/5
We didn’t have breakfast in the hotel. Everything else was pretty good 👍. No complaints whatsoever. Excellent
- 5/5
The staff was very accommodating and helpful. The view of the Ball Drop was absolutely amazing, the vibe at the New Year’s Eve party was magical. I will definitely be back
- 4/5
Overall, the location in Times Square was great. It had bakeries across the street if you weren’t doing breakfast at the hotel. Personally, the price of the breakfast wasn’t worth the price. Although there were several options, the eggs, more often than not, were runny and the sausage patties were somewhat dry. Different mornings they had pancakes, waffles, and French toast. At least for our room, the way the layout of the
- 4/5
Clean room, location is 10/10 highly recommended
- 3/5
We stayed here to see the ball drop and felt mislead by the way it was set up.
- 1/5
Room was filthy!! Crud everywhere, sofa bed had nasty stains all over and not even vacuumed. Dust was flying all over. We showed the photos and videos to the hotel and they changed our room. The next room, although a bit better, was still far from clean. Multiple hair on the sheets. Next day the shower started spewing brown water. It was nasty!! The hotel did promise to refund one night (out of the six) but that was only after multiple conversations and sharing the photos and videos. Bottom line, if you are looking for a clean room, this is not your spot. It’s no way a 4 start hotel. Also, stay away from the breakfast package. Food is terrible and you have to stand in a long line to get a table. There are so many other nicer and less expensive options nearby.
- 5/5
Great location and even better staff.
- 5/5
The room was clean, staff was really kind. Everyone who worked there was so helpful even getting our taxi to the airport for us. I was concerned about staying here due to some of the reviews around the smoke sensors but thankfully we had no issues. Also room service food was fabulous! Since Covid hit I haven’t experienced good room service so this was a first in many years. Definitely recommend the hotel.
- 5/5
Room was clean, staff was nice and quick to help with anything
- 5/5

- 4/5
The stay was great overall. The only downside was that, when I arrived, they said they didn’t have my reservation and that Expedia hadn’t sent them anything. I had to show my confirmation number to get it sorted out.
- 5/5
Rooms were clean, hotel was lively every night, very close to everything for walking distance.
- 3/5
Reasonable hotel great location - fairly basic in terms of rooms - really nice common area in terms of lounge bar lobby restaurant
- 5/5
Good location.
- 4/5
Clean room, adequate space, accommodating staff, excellent restaurant and bar!
- 4/5
We had a double room for 4 adults . The room was adequate to our needs. The room was cleaned daily. The staff were very nice and the overall environment was well situated and we had easy access to the new york facilities. The subway was local and buses were easy to access. We did not dine in the hotel but observed the people who dined to be satisfied. We had a very satisfactory experience and would recommend the M Social Time Square to others.
- 3/5
The room was extremely basic. Good location. The hotel lobby is very nice. Staff was friendly. But the mattress was very firm/uncomfortable and there was no more conditioner left in our bathroom. We were given a handicap accessible room unnecessarily where the water covered the floor each time we showered so we had to continue to throw towels down.
- 1/5
Great staff, especially the house keeping team.
- 5/5
Great front desk staff. Helped get us on the right track with maps etc. Housekeeping was just fantastic. She was so kind and diligent. Great location. Only issue was the crowds at the elevator to get to street or from street to lobby. Def will stay again.
- 5/5
Great place
- 5/5
All good!
- 4/5
Location amazing, as well as view from the roof top bar. Room ok, however too dark and shower needs renewal as the water goes out of it and wet the entire bathroom. Destination fee: 10 usd discount per day does not even cover for one bottle of water, which is not even offered complementary in the room. Entrance to the lobby having to take a slow elevator was a bit inconvenient. Location is unbeatable

Location and room comfort
- 4/5
It was not explained that the $61 credit couldn’t be used for room service. The staff was super friendly and accommodating.
- 3/5
This hotel charges $500 for any kind of smoking in the room inclusing vaping! There is a small sign in the room that is easily missed and the front desk does not mention upon checkin. Lots of extra charges on my credit card also and the room charge was $400 more than what i booked it for. Front desk was not helpful. Cleaning staff starts knocking on doors at 8am on checkout day even though checkout is 11. The "rooftop" bar was not on a roof at all. Terace was close for the duration of our stay and the bar space was always full of random people not staying at the hotel.
- 3/5
The roof top bar area was closed every time we wanted to go out. That’s the entire reason we booked this specific hotel.

- 4/5
Staff was great. Room was a bit small for my liking and the king bed definitely looked smaller then the one i own. The whole hotel was dark at all times and the room lighting sucked for getting ready. Shower was a good size and good water pressure
- 5/5
The staff was friendly and checkin smooth! The hotel was beautiful and clean and close to everything we wanted to do.
- 4/5
Cons: TV didn't work sometimes called for help, no one ever showed up. Can't get coffee before 7a.m., not much amenities or bathroom supply. Otherwise great stay
- 5/5
We did not eat breakfast at this location.
- 2/5
The hotel room was great. The location was great and the size of the room was good. I did have issues with the hotel charging me a $500 smoking fee when my husband and I have never smoked. We spoke to the manager who stated they had a third party smoke detector system that will automatically charge your card on file if it detects smoking. The only thing that was used during my stay was a shark beauty blow dryer which had not caused me any issues the first two nights of our stay. The manager did state I could dispute it with my credit card company and could more than likely receive my money back but there was no way for the charge to be removed. After reading multiple reviews it seems like this has been an ongoing issue with this hotel charging guest this fee. I would definitely recommend not booking here unless you don’t mind being randomly chosen to get billed $500 for a non smoking fee violation.

Staff were very friendly.

Read good things about the restaurant and was excited to try it, however it was our worst meal while we were in NYC. Terrible service, dirty silverware and the very basic meal for 2 adults and 2 kids was $275. You're better off finding something upper scale that will be worth the money. We had an amazing meal at Din Tai Fung (about 1 min walk from the hotel) and it cost less, and was so much better! Room was just OK, clean and good view of Time Square. Beds were not comfortable and bedding was very rough, we couldn't wait to get back home to sleep.
- 5/5
Excellent location.

Location, staff, housekeeping were all fantastic.

Very nice hotel

loved my room! and the location is great. they need to work on safety in the hotel for sure in terms of elevators and key card requirements but other than that i love it here!

- 5/5
Great place to stay. Super cool dining area, nice beds, hot water - great staff.
- 4/5
The room was fine. But the check-in process was ridiculous. There was a long line and only two of the three check-in stations had an agent. (The concierge didn't pitch in to help.) And to make it worse, the agents were very chatty which slowed things down even more. It took me 20 minutes to check in. One customer took more than 10 minutes at the counter, and it sounded like mostly small talk. Get more help, and teach them that good service and friendly service are not the same thing. When there's a long line, they need to do everything they can to move things along.
- 5/5
Everything was really nice.
- 5/5
Great
- 3/5
In terms of decor it definitely needs some TLC. Not worth the almost £800 a night we paid..
- 2/5
Did not meet standards. Definitely not family friendly. Wall paper is peeling in the elevators, room and hallways. Masking tape on almost every door frame, at least on the floor my family and I were on. Room on the left of us and above us were constantly jumping and banging for our entire 5 day vacay. Very disappointed, will not be back
- 5/5
Staff was great and helpful, room was nice, location was great in Times Square. Would stay here again.
- 4/5
The staff was very helpful and the room was comfortable and a nice view towards the Hudson River. The only negative we observed was the shower didn’t drain well. We were on the 24th floor
- 2/5
Staff is not willing to help through your request.
- 3/5
The room was okay. The location of the hotel was the best part. Staff could use some training
- 4/5
We liked the hotel overall but it lacked certain details. There was hair in the sink, no body lotion, no body soap until we request it and we got it 2 days later, no smart tv-streaming possibility, no black coffee at night or in the room-and the espresso machine was broken the second night. For the price, not worth it. But great location for the Christmas tree, times square, st Patrick cathedral, Rockefeller plaza. Also, super nice and helpful staff.
- 4/5
Staff is great, location is good. We’ve stayed here multiple times. Seems like the rooms are starting to get a bit run down, but still overall great hotel
- 5/5
Conveniently located. The small store on site is very handy. I like the bar and restaurant. Our breakfast was NOT free.
- 5/5
The room itself is exactly as you would expect, the breakfast was a bit pricey. Right in front of Times Square, great view!
- 3/5
Yes room was good. I arrived a bit early as did others. They charged me $75.00 to check in early but no one else. Which was frustrating and odd
- 5/5
Loved the room, very clean, handicapped accessible, and safe! The staff was amazing and helpful! Will be staying here again!
- 5/5
Excellent maid service. Handy bag check for early arrival. Perfect location for walking to Broadway shows and 5th Avenue!
- 5/5
It was great
- 5/5
Great location, beautiful view of time square at roof top bar/restaurant. Friendly staff
- 5/5
Cindy the housekeeper was excellent. Please recognize her!
- 5/5
Very good
- 5/5
Highly recommend this hotel. The rooks are incredible, excellent location for sight seeing. Staff was always available and pleasant. Showers were the best!!
- 5/5
Travelled to NYC for the first time with my adult daughter. To stay in such a TERRIFIC hotel in such a fabulous location, made our stay that much more enjoyable. Didn't eat breakfast there but had lunch, complete with champagne, on our arrival. It was delicious. I can't say enough great things about this hotel. We have already decided to make this a yearly trip and will ALWAYS stay here!! :)
- 5/5
Great place. So convenient. Very clean. We brought our kids and it was right near everything we wanted to visit.
- 2/5
Had to request a new room because my original one had wall trim come off the wall, smallest tv I have seen in a hotel in atleast 10 years and that tv was about to fall off of the tv mount. Room was extremely small and didn’t match any of the pictures advertised. We were not able to utilize the lobby bar or restaurant on Friday night because of an outside private event. Will never stay at this hotel again and it is not worth the $725 a night price tag. Views advertised are false and deceiving. Atleast from the 2 rooms that I encountered.
- 5/5
A quick 3-day getaway! Great location and great lobby area with bar and terrace overlooking Times Square perfectly! Rooms are nice with normal nix and marks from normal wear, but overall really comfortable room! The handle in shower was really loose but dealt with it. The beds are super comfortable, but they are double size if traveling with more than two in family. The pillows and bed linens are really comfortable. Probably one of the better beds I’ve slept in! Housekeeping came each day. Beds were made and replenished towels etc. They did forget to take used glasses, empty cans from room but garbage cans were emptied etc. The food was surprisingly really good!! We ate dinner one night due to crowds in Time Square and what a great decision! All in all a great, comfortable visit while being in the mix in Time square enjoying it from the outdoor terrace! We will be back!
- 5/5
The staff was friendly. Room was clean. Great location.
- 4/5
The room was spotless, cute, and very well laid out. I could have proposed to that bed, it was so comfy cozy I did not want to leave it. Conversely, the lobby and restaurant were too loud for my liking. It's a pretty restaurant, my fish and chips were average, but the service was subpar and I don't wish to listen to dance music at 9:30pm while I eat. If I knew up front that they put a $200 hold on your debit card, I would have stayed elsewhere. But, overall, I am glad I chose the hotel with the bed of my dreams. Until we meet again. xo
- 3/5
Room was clean but a pair of socks was there next to the bed from a previous guest.
- 5/5
Hotel was lovely and extremely central
- 5/5
Excellent location for a family trip during Thanksgiving week.
- 5/5
Good food
- 5/5
Want and walk back to see everything. Front desk friendly, but some were not knowledgeable about big main events happening in the area. Asking questions about Macys parade or tree lighting got a lot of just Google it. The rooms were clean but like any hotel small touch ups are needed but we were enjoying the city and sleeping at nights that. Would totally stay there again without a doubt. Great deal on Expedia for 8 nights.
- 5/5
The location is great, but a bit quieter from the middle of Time Square, which we appreciate.
- 5/5
Room was spotless and staff very professional. The hotel is in a great location and it has an art atmosphere where it makes you feel comfortable and enthusiastic along your experience. This hotel is a great option for anyone looking to combine great view while in the hotel and excellent interception to be in the center of everything including its surroundings

Second time staying. Beautiful rooms and lobby and centrally located. Saw MJ right next door. Will be back.
- 5/5
Front desk person was very accommodating and pleasant.
- 3/5
I really liked the location but the room could have been better. It seemed as if our heater didn't work and we didn't have any body wash when we arrived
- 5/5
Perfect location with incredible views of Times Square. Spacious room with sitting area and mini refrigerator. Large lobby with comfortable seating options, bar and outdoor seating with view. Staff very nice, welcoming and helpful. Great bakery across the street with ample food within short walk. Did not eat at hotel, but the menu is nice and prices reasonable for NYC.

.
- 3/5
The staff was very nice. The room was clean but outdated. The air conditioner panel showed some leak spots and in the bathroom they used tape to cover holes and painted over the tape. It was in a good location and we felt safe there.
- 3/5
The staff was good, location good, and the hotel is clean. Our TV didn’t work, we only had one towel each (took an hour to get an extra), seemed like most of the elevators were out of service as it took a long time to get up and down to the room and there was often a line, the line for breakfast was long so didn’t try that, and we were told we’d be called if our room became available sooner. Bit disappointing considering the price point of the hotel. This was our second time staying and I remembered it differently the first trip.
- 5/5
Staff were very helpful, area is perfect for walking anywhere and the buffet breakfast was excellent, I vary rarely get buffet breakfasts.
- 5/5
Clean room, upgraded view, amazing location for walking to shows and shops and restaurants
- 4/5
Bar tender staff could be a little faster, it is a popular spot at night for non hotel patrons, but waiting about 35 minutes while two parties were served was a bit excessive.
- 5/5
Everything was okay with the hotel especially the location, walking distance to mayor attraction and good restaurants.
- 5/5
Great spot and vibe!
- 5/5
My stay was great
- 4/5
Hotel room was a really good size, beds were comfiest we’ve ever had on holiday. Food and bar were excellent
- 5/5
Excelente servicio, limpieza y trato,me encantó y está muy céntrico de todo, es perfecto
- 4/5
On to the more positive ! We were greeted by a lovely lady at the desk on arrival and check in was very simple ! Deposit is taken and we were allocated our room! Which was spacious, clean and the beds were ridiculously comfortable!! The hotel is located in time square which is very central and the bar is very welll stocked and located with stunning view over Times Square! Drinks are on the pricier side but that’s New York and as a whole and the hotel kindly offer 10 dollar discount per day per room on the bar drinks which was a lush additional extra ! We can’t comment on breakfast as did not enjoy this but smelt delicious every morning! Overall fab stay and would definitely be coming back! Please don’t let the social media content put you off staying at a fab choice :)
- 5/5
I had a great stay at M Social Hotel. The customer service was excellent—especially the front desk staff, who were incredibly servicial and attentive. The location couldn’t be better, and the overall ambience of the hotel was modern, vibrant, and welcoming. Highly recommend!
- 5/5
Staff was amazing.
- 1/5
I had booked and paid in advance for a king size bed and they couldn't accommodate and gave me a smaller scale room
- 4/5
Upgrade room only to find it was a smaller room and bathroom
- 2/5
Need to be more clean the bathroom
- 4/5
Fantastic location with easy walks to most everything. Cool room, great leisure and bar area with rooftop patio. Highly recommend
- 3/5
It was an ok place to stay if you like slow and long lined elevators. Dont splurge for the breakfast its nothing more than your standard crappy hotel breakfast, your basically paying for a seat and a view. You also have to wait in line to be seated for breakfast which could take a while. The outdoor balconies were closed most of the 5 days we were there. All in all it was ok.
- 5/5
We had tickets to the MJ, Michael Jackson show, and the theater was literally just a few steps away, the perfect location. Everything was close and super easy. From the moment we arrived, the team made us feel seen. I had requested a high floor, and they honored it without a problem. The view was fantastic, my husband couldn’t believe it! But what truly moved us was the kindness: Edward surprised my husband with a bottle of wine and macarons in the room, such a nice gesture, genuinely kind and very appreciated. The rooftop was another wow moment. That same day, on his birthday, we went up for some drinks and my husband loved it. He was so touched, especially with that view of Times Square right down the street. We left feeling grateful. We will definitely come back.
- 4/5
Everything was fine. However I paid in advance and didn’t appreciate being told at the end of my stay there would be additional resort fees
- 5/5
Our hotel
- 4/5
The hotel location, lobby, bar, and service was 5 stars. However, we did not request a handicap room but received a handicap room. The shower was extremely inconvenient for the shower was open and the entire bathroom flooded with water. Also, the lighting in the room was terrible, if I wasn't only there for 2 days I would've requested an additional lamp.
- 5/5
Great experience and perfect location!
- 5/5
Everything was great at this hotel. Check in process, rooms, cleanliness, comfortability, and has a great vibe. It truly is feels like a social club in their lobby/lounge. Has a great outdoor space as well.
- 3/5
The sink basin looks fancy, but too shallow. Hot water did not come out from the shower. Breakfast buffet area had a nice view but the menu was exactly the same for the two days I stayed. The quality of the food was lower than what you would expect at a 2 and a half or 3-star hotel, aside from the fact that they have servers. On the second day, the server handed me a handwritten bill, saying the machine wasn’t working. However the total amount on the bill was wrong, too high. He was trying to charge me more than the actual price. When I pointed it out, he kept asking me how much I had paid the day before. I told him the numbers didn’t look right, and only then did he say, ‘Oh, you’re saying the math is wrong.’ He did not apologize; he just corrected the amount and walked away. How convenient.
- 5/5
Veru clean amd comfy bed
- 5/5
The breakfast menu was fresh and delicious. The view was amazing! The staff were all friendly and wonderful with my kiddos! The location is unbeatable, walkable to Times Square and the subway and wonderful restaurants!
- 5/5
Loved the view of Time Square from the room. The lobby, bar and restaurant were all fantastic. The morning breakfast buffet is a great way to start a day of exploring and having fun!
- 3/5
The breakfast was horrible. Not worth $86.00 for 2 people. Would not recommend eating or paying for breakfast at hotel. A cup of coffee was not even offered. There are Several bakeries around hotel with wonderful food and coffee. Do not waste your money. Everything thing else was ok.
- 4/5
Courteous staff and clean rooms.
- 5/5
Everything was good. Only issue was the loud music at the bar which was very loud in our room until midnight. Other than that it was very comfortable.
- 5/5
We had a wonderful stay at the MSocial. The staff at the front desk were incredibly friendly and helpful, and our room was spacious, spotless, and modern with comfortable beds.
- 5/5
smooth and friendly check in - our room was ready ahead of time which was awesome. excellent lunch in the bar. room was clean and comfortable. elevators very efficient.
- 4/5
Good stay overall! Clean room, albeit pretty small. Also doesn’t offer anything complimentary, to include water. Great location in downtown near Times Square, and a nice rooftop bar on site make it a great location! Also the gym is top notch!! The room is also dark though, not very good lighting which made it tough for my wife to get ready for the wedding we went to.
- 5/5
The staff were great and the room was pleasant.
- 5/5
Clean room and nice staff. Could use something better to organize heavy check in but it wasn’t to horrible. No hot water was a bummer but I’m in the business and understand things happen.
- 5/5
Staff were very hospitable. They were aware of a small inconvenience that impacted my stay and they didn’t hesitate to offer something to offset it. Bar staff and front desk were excellent. Just one small point of feedback - Door staff that handle bags could have used a little more tact. One of them didn’t hesitate to tell me that a tip is “appreciated” before I had a moment to speak. I loved the hotel and would highly recommend.
