The staff may not seem overly friendly at first, but whenever we needed assistance, they were always kind, helpful, and accommodating. The breakfast was also very good. There was a nice variety of options—nothing fancy, but everything we needed. The breakfast area was well organized, and even during the busy morning rush, the staff kept everything well stocked and running smoothly. We were able to check in early, and because we had a late flight after checkout, the hotel allowed us to store our luggage, which was extremely helpful and much appreciated. The hotel is located in a very nice, safe area and is only about a three minute walk from the subway station, making it very convenient for getting around. The only improvement I would suggest is expanding the lobby area or providing a larger common space where guests can sit, relax, or spend time outside of their rooms. Overall, we loved our stay and would definitely choose this hotel again.

Great location for sightseeing, only a 5-minute walk from the subway station. The room was clean and comfortable, the price was reasonable, and the breakfast was good. The surrounding neighborhood was not the nicest, especially at night, but overall I had a pleasant stay.

The hotel should do its best to help guests with reservations and ask questions to find their reservations. My experience was arriving at the hotel at midnight to check in. Because we had two reservations, one under my wife and one under mine (two nights in total), the employee said she was trying to find our second reservation but could not find it. She did not make an effort to look for my husband's last name, even when we provided it. Unfortunately, she said the only available reservation was at a 300 dollars rate. We had to act quickly and reserve a room at another hotel, and in the morning, we were rushed to check out. Horrible customer service. We called when we were able to contact Expedia and the hotel where our reservation was, and we were told it was our error and that we were in another hotel, which was incorrect. He hung up on me. No refund or apology. DO NOT STAY THERE!

I wish it were closer to Manhattan. Sometimes we needed 4-5 stops after a walk to the subway.

Perfect place to stay when you visit NYC. Only one stop away from Midtown using the Subway. Small room, but very clean and cozy. Having hot breakfast every morning is a plus. The staff was very helpful every time we had interactions with them. Beds were kind of hard, but I guess that's what we needed after too much walking in the city. I definitely would stay here again.

We were placed across from the elevator and it was extremely loud in the hallway. Also be aware you are next to a large parking lot with cabs so we could hear car alarms going off regularly. Did not have the breakfast and had minimal contact with the front desk. We chose this hotel based on the reviews and were disappointed with the reality.

Overall, it wasn’t acceptable stay. Nothing incredible, but the room was clean and it appeared to have been renovated sometime recently. The only drawback was the beds were hard as a board which made sleeping very uncomfortable. We will probably not return simply because of that.

Have stayed at many places in LIC, several times each, and this place is in the top rank, IMO. Relatively new, so it is clean and in good shape. Very close to two subway stations, from which you can get to anywhere. Lots of dining options in the area, especially for Asian food. What really distinguishes it for me is the staff - they are the most friendly and helpful of any of the places I have stayed.

Close to transportation It was a bit dirty, and our room was literally right on the lobby so we were up all night whenever people would noisily come in. Also, when we first checked in, we were give a key to someone else’s room—awkward to say the least when we walked in.

Our stay was very good. Easy to park a car and walk to subway. Nice coffee shop nearby. Our request for a higher room was accommodated. We did not try the breakfast because we joined our son. Our only hotel issue was that the room fan did not go on even when we turned the fan symbol to high, and the room was a little too warm. We also had loud guests on our floor after midnight one of 3 nights. But overall, it was a clean, quiet, comfortable stay for a reasonable price. There are some good restaurants and ice cream shops within 15 minutes walk as well.

The hotel is very clean, has a very good breakfast, has very polite staff, and is close to all transport and a few minutes from Manhattan. only about 40min from JFK by train and underground( about U$12)

People were slamming doors and yelling throughout the night., We got no sleep and nothing was done when we informed staff.

Location was good. Breakfast was okay. House-keeping staff was good and helpful. Room and facilities needs to be upgraded for sure. Front desk needs to be more flexible with requests. They should install closet in the room for guests to store their clothes & items.

The hotel is very nice particularly given the good price. The location is super close to subway and bus stations that will get you directly into the city.

+ Basic but has everything you need + Comfortable bed + Fridge and microwave in the room + Location is close to the metro + Grocery store nearby + Shuttle service to the airport - Strange shower, but in the end, we got used to it - Lack of vegetables for breakfast - Could be noisy, as there is a night taxi parking place behind the hotel

The room was clean and staff was very kind, but that was probably the hardest bed I’ve slept on in my life. Like to the point that we moved the fitted sheet back because we thought maybe it was just a box spring with some padding. It was nice being close to three different subway stations, and we appreciated the shuttle from the airport.

Very nice location, within minutes of the 7 train, taking you right to Times Square. It was very clean, staff were friendly and the breakfast was free and delicious. My only complaint is that the bed was a little firm, but this wasn’t a huge issue.

Bed wasn’t very comfortable.

Staff were all friendly and helpful, my room was extremely clean, and the location is very convenient. Literally the most uncomfortable bed I've encountered in my entire life. It was like a box spring with a thin, old, worn out pad on top. It wasn't even comfortable to sit on, let alone try to sleep.

The room was extremely hot throughout the night. The staff could help very little with that. The television did not work properly. The phone was broken in the room.

Nice staff. Average breakfast. Maybe more variety at breakfast. Hotel location was convenient for subway access to airport and Manhattan. Just a block or two away. Room was clean. Nice bathroom. Bed was firm but not hard. TV system not easy to operate. Only big concern was that the storage room for luggage lacked any reasonable security. Looked unlocked most of the time relying on the vigilance of the front desk employee. The premises outside was limited parking. Simply drop offs. Hard to tell if neighborhood was safe or unsafe. There is graffiti and a car repair adjacent to the hotel. But overall hotel was a great bargain and convenient to subway access. There were a lot of restaurants within walking distance along with a Walgreens which is a big plus as well.

Then, my AC did not work (was 85 degrees outside). The clerk said it worked. I invited him to verify - he seemed unwilling. So I made him look. He agreed it did not work. His solution: open the window! Then his second solution: "well, this is the room you paid for". I became irate and demanded another room with working AC. He seemed upset with my request and implied they were sold out. I brought out my angry side and he suddenly said, "oh look, another room just became available". PS - it was 11 pm. Rooms just do not become available at 11 pm. The second room was fine - nice AC, clean and neat. 20 minutes later I get a phone call: "why aren't you paying for your room!". Huh? (That's what I said). He told me that since I "requested" a different room, I had to pay that extra price. R U kidding me?! I argued and it was clear - pay more or sleep on the sidewalk. So I paid. Then I get another call, this time with him screaming at me. My card was declined because I forgot to approve it for out of state travel. He was on the verge of insanity, going off on me. I was shocked. So I paid with another card, problem solved. In the morning, I explained the situation to the people at check out, and they expressed zero concern for my stay. Summary: nice simple hotel in LIC, absolutely horrible staff.

Stay was overall quite pleasant, very close to the metro to get to Manhattan. A few local convenience stores and food options nearby. Breakfast was good, hot plates and cold options. Biggest downside were the very, very firm mattresses. Hotel is otherwise clean, staff are friendly and helpful.

I wanted a convenient hotel that made it easy to get into the city and this was perfect! It was such a short, slightly inclined, walk from the train! (And the station had elevator access!) Check-in was easy and the front desk staff were very friendly, even with a late night check-in! The size of the room was perfect for two people, very clean, and the bathroom looked newly renovated. The included breakfast was varied and had enough quick options to give enough fuel to start the day! The ONLY "negative" would be the beds. Luckily I can sleep on any type of beds but the beds were a little hard. Would 100% stay here again!

Great value for a place close to multiple subway lines and it was easy to find. The room was clean and a good size, with a great bathroom. Bed was on the firmer side but comfortable. I did not hear noise from outside or from other guests. It was also nice to have breakfast included. I stay in NYC several times a year and would stay here again.

Nice, clean, well equipped. The front door doesn’t make much of an impression but once you’re inside it’s great.

The hotel is in an area that is transitioning. There are garages next to it which makes it a little weird. Also the entry hall is very basic. But the rooms are clean and served the purpose. Other hotels in this neighborhood is so expensive. This one is more affordable.

Our one night stay was a quick one. We appreciated cafeteria for dining with our take-out dinner. Bed was comfortable. Room clean. Service excellent.

This property post very little photographs and I was talking a gamble on choosing this property. My reasoning was it was centered between the airport and my family’s home. Check-in was at 3pm and there was no give to that time. This property doesn’t look like much on the outside but I was very pleased with the cleanliness and overall quality of the hotel. Breakfast was provided daily as well as being in the middle of the going on. Outside of the the carpet needing an update and purchasing a better quality mattress, we enjoyed our stay and would recommend a stay at this property.

Everything ok

The room was spacious for NYC standards. There was a refrigerator and a microwave in the room. The bathroom had a full door that closed (not a sliding door) and an exhaust fan inside. At times could her voices in adjacent rooms but was not an issue. Everything was more modern than I expected. The tv worked well too. Hotel staff was friendly, located close to several subway lines, and free breakfast. Much more affordable option than Manhattan and only minutes away.

The location was great! Everything else was way below par. The look of the hotel is severely outdated. No bathroom on the lobby floor. If the price was $200 less a night, it would have been outstanding but it wasn’t. Never again.

Very clean, 2 mins walk to Queensboro Plaza train station. Everything’s great. I just wish there were different breakfast option for people living more than 2 days. Having said that the breakfast was very nice, no complaints on that part.

This was a clean property with friendly staff. On the last day one of the staff people noticed I didnt eat breakfast and was willing to have kitchen staff to make me breakfast. I thought this was so nice I declined because I dont typically eat breakfast but the thought and gesture of him was very heart warming. I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone. Very nice hosts, quiet and affordable. It wasn't in the main center of LIC but it was like a 5 min walk to it. Was out late but did not feel worried about my safety. Extremely clean bedroom and bath.

Very nice budget hotel with excellent access to Manhattan in a pretty safe area. Subway is 3 blocks away. Simple but ample breakfast is very handy to get started for the day. They kept refilling food till the end time which was very nice. The property seems to have been renovated so the rooms are updated and fresh (don't judge it from the sign board outside :)) Highly recommend for families.

Everything in this hotel is good, the room and breakfast are good.

It was such a nice and calm area. The staff was so nice. I was able to call them to let them know I might not make it to the hours of check in cause of my train and they were so understanding.

Steps from the N, W and 7 subway lines. Hotel room was immaculately clean. Breakfast buffet was included and offered both cold and hot items. There was also a convenient hotel shuttle to nearby airports available for an additional cost.

Beds very hard and extremely uncomfortable. In a quiet location. Rooms a bit small, no place to put suitcases.

BUT, the bed was the hardest thing on which we have ever slept. It was extremely uncomfortable. WiFi was almost non-existent. It was better to just use my hotspot from my phone. Onei or thing was that the coffee maker in the room was dirty, so we didn’t use it. I wish I could leave a better review because everyone was so nice, and it was a perfect location.

I have stayed at the LIC Plaza Hotel a couple of times. It is a great location near restaurants, bars, grocery stores and quick access to the subway. The room was comfortable and clean. The bed was firm. I liked that there was a mini fridge and microwave. The staff was nice and helpful.

Stayed at LIC Plaza hotel for one night. The room was very clean and the other guests I met at the lobby and morning breakfast were families and tourists. Subway stations (Queensboro Plaza and Queens Plaza) within walking distance. Hotel is basic with no frills but has all you need for a short stay.

I walked in and the receptionist was cold and unfriendly. Mechanical. I was less than impressed and also being offered a bottle of wine for being VIP when I am sober for 3 years, didn’t even think to ask me if the gift was ok!!!! No gym but for the price im unsure why not even the most basic of treadmills would’ve sufficed. No just no

The property is well-maintained and clean, with a good breakfast offering that includes salads and some continental options. The staff is friendly and accommodating. However, the internet was too slow for web meetings or video calls, and the heating was insufficient to keep the room warm. Bringing extra warm clothing or blankets is recommended during winter.

The hotel exceeded our expectations. We booked it because it is close to the metro, but that is not its only advantage. The hotel is clean, with everything you need in the room - microwave, coffee machine, refrigerator. Breakfast at the hotel is simple, but varied. The staff is very friendly and kind.

I don't have anything wrong to say. It was a great location, the staff was nice, and the rooms were just right for the occasion. I would stay at this location again if I traveled to NY because it was just a few stops away from the main attractions.

Neighborhood felt safe enough walking back at night. Very short walk to the subway station (5-7 minutes) and short train ride to Time Square/touristy areas in Manhattan. The street noises may be bothersome but it did not bother me personally. Would stay again!

The staff did not explain anything about the amenities in the hotel. For example, I did not know that breakfast was included. Also, this is a VIP property, so it would be appreciated if they offered room upgrades or early check-in or late check-out as part of the perks.

The hotel was clean and functional. I did not appreciate being awoken by the front desk at 1am telling me I hadn’t paid (when I had proof of payment), then the next morning being told I had to arrange for Expedia to pay them, putting me in the middle of their problem.

Such a funny hotel that upon arrival you will notice the industrial feel of the neighborhood but do not be concerned! There is so much to like about the hotel especially the value for money! The staff were very nice and our room was basic but very clean; the beds were firm and comfortable, WiFi was excellent, good TV options and a fridge & microwave. The bathroom was really good but the towels were like I was at a five star hotel!! The free breakfast was awesome with a really wide range of options from eggs, sausages, cereals, fruit, cold cuts & cheeses, bagels, etc. The limited choice of bars and restaurants maybe an issue for sone but we found a few decent places. I would 100% stay here again!

Very clean. Accommodated my request for an upper floor. Beds very firm but comfortable. I would prefer some pillowtop cushioning. Toiletries sufficient but would prefer washcloths be standard. Prices have risen sharply, but we came back bc of easy parking and proximity to subway and our son's apt.

Solid. Room clean and comfortable. Eclectic (spaghetti and meatballs), plentiful and expansive enough dining all breakfast. Good brewed coffee and tea and fresh fruit. Our room 102 was subject to some entrance noise, but the HVAC was strong and drained out the noise and kept us cool on a hot and humid day and night. Close to subway and short trip to midtown. Recommend.
