Reviews
Guests generally have a positive experience at this hotel, appreciating its cleanliness, friendly staff, and convenient location near subway stations and local attractions. The rooftop view of Manhattan is also a highlight. However, some guests find the rooms small and outdated, and the breakfast average.

Place was clean and well maintained. Beds were twin size and not so comfortable.

Good place for the price. Friendly staff

The location was great, with a couple of different metro stations within easy walking distance and only about 15 minutes away from Manhattan. If we ever find ourselves back in New York, we will definitely stay here again.
- 5/5
Very clean room. Minimalist, but everything we needed.
- 5/5
No complaints , staff were very welcoming , place spotless ,bed was super comfortable , breakfast was amazing especially the French toast & coffee .& a variety of fruits to choose from Will definitely visit again . Thanks

I would book this hotel again in a heartbeat.

good choice for tourists

Convenient location and nice facility

She stated that I would have to pay extra for a higher floor. Of all the years and hotels I stayed in, I never heard of such a thing. She didn’t accommodate me. I definitely will not be returning to this hotel.

Breakfast was great. The view
- 5/5
I loved this hotel. Super friendly staff. Really clean, and EXCEPTIONAL room cleaning service. And the hotel is near the subway. Super easy to get into Manhattan. Highly recommend
- 2/5
Also, you need to get in the shower early, no hot water around 8am on our first night, so we got in shower by 7 the 2nd night. Will be choosing other options for our next stay in NYC
- 5/5
Exceptional value for price and location. One of the best managed hotels I have stayed at.
- 5/5
Great Breakfast.
- 4/5
No city view, but cozy.
- 4.5/5
It is close to the subway, quite location giving chill vibes
- 5/5
- 5/5
The room was great, breakfast was good and the parking was excellent for the area.

Okay for one night stay. Closer to LA Guardia.
- 2/5
No hot water, substandard breakfast.
- 5/5
The A/C was a bit loud
- 3/5
We took cold showers both days..it was overall decent though. Clean.
- 4/5
Un petit hotel pas cher très bien situé ! Super bon déjeuner et employé très gentil! Parfait! J y retournerais sans hésiter !
- 4/5
Another major plus is the location. The subway is within walking distance and makes it very convenient to travel practically anywhere in the city quickly and affordably. The hotel itself is centrally located, which made exploring NYC much easier. Breakfast was standard but included in the hotel price, which added good value to the stay. The only slight downside for me was the mattress, as I have back pain issues and found it a bit uncomfortable. I also had some trouble connecting to the internet on one of my phones, although my second phone worked perfectly fine, so I would not really count that as a negative. Overall, it was a great experience and an excellent choice considering the location, budget-friendliness, and parking convenience. It made my first trip to NYC a memorable one.
- 5/5
Good place to stay I recommend
- 5/5
Breakfast was decent. Eggs, sausage, potatoes, pancakes, fruit and bagels. 24-hour coffee, water and bagels.
- 4/5
We were near the ice machine and were woken up early by someone using it. Breakfast was simple but tasty.
- 5/5
I've stayed here multiple times and have never had a bad experience. The staff is friendly and helpful and the rooms are always clean. Perfect, convenient location as well.
- 3/5
It was not a fancy hotel, but staff were very nice, and helpful. Facility was clean and well maintained. Breakfast was good, but it would have been nicer if there were more options and variety. It would have been nice if there was a kettle in each room. Water dispenser, teabags, hot water in common area was good but , It would have been nice if there was a kettle in each room.
- 4/5
Proximité métro
- 5/5
Breakfast was excellent and so organized. Everything was in great condition. On site parking is such a savior. Some peculiar items- - The fridge in our room had weird placement on top of the closet rack, which made it unbalanced. We weren't sure if we could move it(it was rm 118). - Beds were a bit hard. Only complaint.
- 5/5
Parking was easy, shower doors a bit flimsy, only 1 tissue in the box and no spare boxes in the room after that. Showers have shampoo soap and conditioner. Hand soap smelled really good. The room and entire facility was very clean. The hostess at breakfast gave me a bit of the business when i walked out with a plate to eat in my room. I would stay here again. Thumbs up.
- 4/5
Overall a pleasant stay with very comfortable bed and lots of pillows ; I requested a softer pillow and received one promptly. TV glitchy but ok. Shower only but water nice and hot! No microwave, iron, or coffee pot but a good full breakfast available as part of price. I probably would stay here again.
- 5/5
Excellent location with nearby metro access. Very easy to get around town and had easy, free parking on the street over the weekend.
- 5/5
Parking was there and subway was accessible
- 4.5/5
The property was a great location close to the subway and restaurants. Felt safe to walk around the area. Available coffee 24/7 was a plus. Out of date. Needs updating on amenities and style. Paper thin walls, you could hear every little bit in the rooms nextdoor and outside.
- 3/5
Best breakfast in town.
- 3/5
Best breakfast and view in town.
- 4.5/5
Hearing voice at night time from outside.
- 5/5
breakfast was excellent. good quality good price n/a
- 5/5
It was a great stay with great staff, and the breakfast was a plus point
- 2/5
The hotel is very dated and needs a lot of updating.
- 5/5
LIC Hotel is clean. Very easy to commute via metro and local bus walking distance. The breakfast is included and delicious. There is 24/7 coffee, tea, and bagels. The price I paid for 1 night in a king room was very good. I highly recommend especially for families.
- 4/5
the room was exceptionally clean, the breakfast was more than ample, the staff was friendly. you could hear water running through the pipes from other rooms
- 4/5
Always clean, staff is friendly and helpful
- 5/5
The ice machine did not work on my floor and the usb ports at bedside did not work either. Still a great stay.
- 3/5
Breakfast was good, but overall hotel was a bit dingy.

The staff members were always at the front desk and very helpful. The breakfast was also good. There was an unpleasant smell in the room.
- 5/5
it was good
- 4.5/5
This hotel does not accept Apple pay.
- 5/5
Avery conveniently located hotel. Great neighborhood and a very clean place to stay. They also have parking for $20 which is great. Breakfast was also decent. Staff was very welcoming and helpful.
- 4/5
It was snowstorm, roof was filled with snow but we still has acsess to it. Overall okay hotel.
- 4/5
Good value, cleanliness Small bathroom, but not a huge deal.
- 4/5
The gym only had 2 treadmills, and 3 little dumbbells.
- 5/5
If you want a luxury 5 star experience then you are in the wrong place. If you need an affordable, clean hotel then you have picked a great spot. The staff was very friendly, breakfast is included, rooms are clean and streamline, beds are comfortable. The area around the hotel is industrial but it is quiet. I travels with my adult daughter and we felt safe walking in the area and using the subway station near by. There are several restaurants nearby. We came to see New York and there are two subway stations within walking distance. The closest is Court Sq and it is 2 block away. It took use about 15 min to get to Time Square area and no more than 30 min for other popular spots in the city. The staff was very nice.
- 5/5
Great value for money near NYC.
- 5/5
?
- 5/5
Staff are not helpful
- 5/5
Room was very clean a very well put together
- 3/5
Clean but old property. Area just around the hotel is dodgy. I would not stay in this area again.
- 1.5/5
The Breakfast was really good only decent part of the hotel The room the staff cleanliness
- 5/5
Impeccably clean hotel, nice and warm even at the coldest days of winter, very comfortable bed. Even if not the fanciest hotel, everything just works perfectly and the entire hotel is kept to a great condition.
- 5/5
This hotel takes care of all of your needs.
- 5/5
I stayed for 2 days and most of that time I was out of the room visiting family and exploring the area, so not sure about gym and laundry, etc. I liked the complimentary breakfast and the rooms, as well as the friendly staff. My one gripe is the absence of a coffee machine in the room. There is a fridge but no coffee machine.
- 4/5
Overall, it was a very nice hotel with many conveniences. First, it’s very close to the subway, making access to Manhattan very easy and convenient. The complimentary breakfast was a great way to start each day; breakfast consisted of eggs, potatoes, bagels, fruit, juice, coffee and more. The employees were friendly, helpful, and especially organised in the kitchen. The room was ok, it was clean, it had a fridge, safe, tv, and a clean spacious bathroom. Negatives were the loud/noisy HVAC through the night and the limited hangars for hanging my clothes. The price paid was very reasonable so overall it was a very good stay and I recommend this hotel.
- 5/5
Super clean and the hot breakfast was tops! The roof top deck was underwhelming. It looks better in the photos. The picnic tables were flimsy but the view was nice. There is not enough nice furniture to make it a hang out spot. Perhaps planning a happy hour or board game time could make that space more attractive and user friendly.

Very clean room and public areas. Rooms a bit dated now though. Great breakfast with a good few options. Second time staying here and would stay again.
- 4/5
Good Ice machine was noisey
- 3/5
Metal bed frames. Looks like a 2 star hotel
- 4/5
Staff kept the property very clean and organized. My room was spotless and updated. Good water pressure and slept on a very comfortable king sized mattress. Breakfast is included with your stay which is an actual breakfast (eggs, french toast or pancakes, sausage or bacon) served daily plus other items. I'd stay with them again in a heartbeat. Only a 15 min walk/ subway ride to get to Columbus Circle!!1
- 4/5
Room clean staff was efficient
- 5/5
Love everything
- 5/5
Great clean
- 5/5
Sensible, clean room, friendly staff, excellent price, great location.
- 4/5
Pleasant staff, amenities were good.
- 5/5
The hotel itself is very nice, they keep everything clean, plenty of hot water in the bathroom. Admittedly, our room was on the small side, but I chose the smallest room because it was the cheapest. So just be aware if you book the tradesmen room (full bed) just know there’s not a lot of room. The breakfast every morning was stellar, the absolute best breakfast I’ve ever had in any hotel. The first morning, we had eggs, bacon, and onions and potatoes that you could mix in to have a bit more flavor. There was also French toast with honey and granola to sprinkle on top. I would not hesitate to stay here again. In fact, I plan on coming back when our kids are old enough to visit New York City.
- 4/5
To noise but excellent localization to take the subway. 15 min to everything. The breakfast is really good and the people are really nice.
- 5/5
Clean, accessible and friendly staffs. Breakfast was good!
- 5/5
This place is my home away from home. Everyone is so nice. Its quiet and I can get work done. Bed is comfy. Breakfast is amazing. French toast is the best.
- 5/5
Staff and location are great
- 4/5
The room was very clean, loved the bathroom, especially the shower. No issues at all with toiletry supplies plus the room staff were very courteous and helpful.

Yes.
- 5/5
very clean, great breakfast, and helpful staff!!
- 4/5
Location was near the subway. Parking was available over the weekend on the street and in the lot. Strong chemical odor in the room from cleaning. Breakfast was fine, staff was friendly. Bottom line- Basic clean hotel with a decent breakfast.
- 5/5
clean
- 5/5
Location is convenient to the subway system. Nice staff. Easy check in. Function was the key as I did not need to have an expensive room for my quick stay.
- 5/5
Clean, great location, nice breakfast. Close to E train, so just minutes from Manhattan.
- 4/5
It was good and convenient
- 1/5
Only object of them is money, they don’t care about their customers
- 1/5
Wasn't told about deposit, was told card was declined, then payment went through, then told about deposit, no coffee facilities in the room, definitely overrated hotel
- 5/5
Excellent stay and value, impressed by breakfast!
- 5/5
La habitación siempre estuvo impecable, el personal muy amable todos los días y me encanto el desayuno.
- 5/5
Room was very clean, staff work very hard. Bed was super comfortable and the room was very warm. Breakfast was very nice, food was fresh. Enjoyed our stay, Would stay again!
- 5/5
Everything was very good i had no problems
- 5/5
Older hotel, but kept absolutely clean. Large bedroom and bed. Friendly staff. Adequate breakfast. Best part: Only 1 ¹/₂ blocks from subway!! (Court square, 44th Dr & 21st st station.)
- 5/5
Very good
- 5/5
The room was spotless staff friendly
- 3/5
Room was old, the old dark furniture made it look old. It just felt like an old hotel that got a new coat of paint. Other than that, it was good
- 5/5
Good room and staff friendly. Great breakfast.
- 5/5
Hotel very clean, excellent daily room service, good breakfast, professional and friendly staff, parking onsite for a fair price and the best train station one block away.
- 5/5
Room was very nice and clean. Enjoyed the breakfast very much. Close to train station.
- 3/5
It was Ok, or sos so.
- 3/5
The location is great customer service is great and the complimentary breakfast was great! The room was clean and well appointed with a mini fridge and safe! Unfortunately the bed was beyond firm and the heater was so loud when it kicked on every 20 mins or so it woke me up.
- 5/5
Clean, comfortable room. Parking lot on the premises.
- 4/5
Good
- 2/5
The accomdation was vety clean, tidy and well kept with sunning views from the roof top. However the staff where not very welcoming, didnt great or allow for easy check in, rude in the mornings when we said hello, not very helpful when we approched. Breakfast not for us no vegan options just pancakes, sausage and potattos tots with proccesed bagels only ate there one as not to nice. Did have the basic amnities and from another staying advised their was a gym. It was close to the subway and a quick walk to thw waters edge, felt relativley safe, overall only lwet down was the team and breakfast, cant say we'd go back here but it is a budget friendly hotel. Thank you
- 5/5
.
- 4/5
Windows cannot be open though. The AC unit is very strong and you cannot tune it down, and it is a little too dry for my nose and skin. Overall, good place to stay in New York.
- 4/5
Room cleaned well daily. However, bathroom had a strong sewer smell.
- 5/5
It was a great little spot to stay for a few nights and it was very clean and cozy.
- 4/5
Great stay overall. Only caught off guard that the cleaning staff started at 8 am on the weekend. A little early to hav the door knocked on for us. Later, when the room had been serviced, they did an excellent job.
- 5/5
Awesome!
- 3/5
The room had all the basic amenities. Wish they had a microwave. The air conditioner was noisy. I'm glad that the weather was on the warmer side for the season, so I didn't have to use the air conditioner. It would have kept me up all night since it was noisy. I liked the quietness. I was in the corner room. There was no noise from other parts of the hotel. The breakfast was delicious.
- 5/5
It was perfect for what we needed. And such a close walk to the subway.
- 4/5
The only downside was the breakfast was the same everyday, could do with some variety and other choices rather than keeping it the same. Also the time allocated for dining was restricted to only 30 mins. When it's busy this isnt enough. Apart from that we had a good time.
- 5/5
Very friendly staff and Netflix on the tv is huge
- 4/5
Bed very noisy when changing sleeping positions.
- 5/5
amazing staff will be coming here again
- 4/5
Breakfast was good.
- 5/5
Clean room. Very quiet. Didnt see much people staying there. Awesome rooftop to catch some air. Good breakfast options
- 4/5
Good, clean and good value given ridiculous NYC prices. The location is surprisingly good. 2mins walk to subway that connects to midtown Manhattan in 15-20 mins and easy to JFK the other way
- 5/5
Nice hotel. Room was clean and staff was nice
- 5/5
It was ok
- 3/5
The air fresheners they put in the bathrooms are very strong. I had to immediately remove them and have the windows open for 24+ hours to air out the terrible smell. If you are chemically sensitive, this is not a place for you.
- 5/5
Great service, kind receptionist, helped me store luggage
- 4/5
Having said that the staff are helpful and professional. Great location. Have a laundry in-house is a plus.
- 4/5
Staff was wonderful and room was clean and comfortable
- 3/5
No comment
- 5/5
The rooms are clean and it is very quiet
- 5/5
Great value. Nothing fancy but everything went smoothly. Would stay here again.
- 5/5
Well maintained and very close to subway.
- 5/5
Amazing hotel in a great neighborhood. Close to train stations and great restaurants around. Staff is super helpful and friendly. And breakfast was great!
- 5/5
Nice, clean, good value for price
- 4/5
Good
- 3/5
Great location needs more parking spaces onsite tree behind parking lot needs to be trimmed as cars are left filthy, roof deck also needs renovations tables seem to be on there last legs
- 5/5
Close to the subway stations. Quiet and clean.
- 4/5
I didn’t like the fact that the person I stayed in the room with we were required to go to breakfast together. He’s a super early bird, I’m not. Therefore, no breakfast for him because I didn’t want to be up early, no breakfast for me because by the time I was ready to eat he gone elsewhere. I couldn’t understand why it was mandatory that we went together.
- 2/5
Honestly, I didn’t think it was worth $170 for the night. Additionally, I had to pay an extra $20 for parking, which I thought was included in the hotel reservation. One of the biggest surprises was from the front desk staff, who explained that I needed to finish breakfast within 30 minutes. I was completely puzzled by that instruction. When I asked why, she mentioned it gets crowded. If the hotel doesn’t have sufficient space to accommodate all the guests, that shouldn’t be my problem. I asked if I could at least take the food to my room, but her response was no. This experience felt reminiscent of my school days, where we had quick lunch breaks and had to rush back. Also, the room size was much smaller than what I saw in the pictures.Honestly, I didn’t think it was worth $170 for the night. The only negative is my " neighbors" would let their doors slam shut automatically which created a lot of noise.
- 5/5
This hotel is a perfect place to stay when visiting NYC. It is extremely clean and comfortable. If you think you need to stay “in the middle of everything” like Times Square, you’re wrong. Easy access to the subway and a great breakfast are huge benefits for The LIC Hotel. You get home from a busy day in Manhattan, and it’s like a small, quiet town. Enjoy a (take your own) drink and snacks on the rooftop lounge area and enjoy the breathtaking view of the upper east side. I stay here every time I’m in New York.
- 5/5
Would definitely stay here again!
- 5/5
Hotel was perfect for a trip to the US Open since it was close to the Subway Line #7 which goes straight to the Tennis center. Room & bathroom a little small, but still had enough space for us to put our stuff. Staff was very nice & courteous. NY skyline view from the roof was pretty cool. Breakfast was a pleasant surprise as good as it was with a good variety of options. Will definitely consider staying again next year.

The property is close to the subway and provides easy access to Manhattan and Mets stadium.

During our stay on July 17, 2025, my husband suffered a dangerous fall in his hotel room due to extreme condensation caused by a standard 20-minute shower. With the bathroom fan running and door slightly ajar, the entire room — floors, walls, furniture, and electronics — was drenched in moisture. The floor became so slick that my husband slipped and fell on his back. To make matters worse, his MacBook Pro— which was open and operating at the time — was ruined by the water damage, rendering it completely inoperable. When we reported this incident at the front desk and directly to management, the response was appalling. Staff openly acknowledged that this level of condensation is “known to occur in guest rooms” and that floors can become dangerously slippery. Their “solution”? Guests should supposedly open windows, crank up the AC, or limit showers to five minutes — none of which is written anywhere in hotel policies or guest instructions. Despite acknowledging the issue, management refused to accept responsibility for either my husband’s injuries or the destruction of his property. We followed up in writing — twice — with detailed documentation and even set a clear deadline for response. The hotel has not had the decency to reply. Complete silence. This hotel not only provides unsafe accommodations but also displays a shocking lack of accountability and basic professionalism. Guests should not have to risk
- 5/5
We loved this hotel, everything was perfect and it is close to Manhatten
- 3/5
The twin beds are not stable, the hotel requires that all guest in the one room must go to breakfast together, which I think it was a strange requirement. Since I did not know it, I was not permitted to eat breakfast because my husband ate before I come down to eat.
- 5/5
The staff were excellent and friendly. The included breakfast was good, basic options like eggs and sausage and hash browns. Also bread options like bagels and pancakes and toast etc. The mattress was firm, but comfortable. The room and neighborhood is quiet and safe. MTA subway/train station was very close by. I recommend this hotel, and if I'm in LIC again I'd probably stay here again.
- 5/5
Nice hotel. The room is small but comfortable and clean, and for a good price. Great area - safe, quiet and walking distance from the subway, easy to get anywhere. Friendly staff. Great value for money.
- 4/5
Generally it’s good for the price to stay. they charged for the parking but there’s very limited and small space. it’s not easy to get my car in there
- 5/5
This is a great little hotel in Long Island City. It’s easy to find, is a short one block walk to the Subway (and a quick 10-15min ride to Manhattan), is in walking distance to both Target and Trader Joe’s, and is a 20-30min ride from La Guardia. The room was clean and decently modern, housekeeping came daily, and breakfast was good typical hotel fare. It was also a decently safe area. They also held our luggage the day we checked out so we didn’t have to lug it around the city before our flight! The view from the rooftop is great too. The only drawbacks were the beds weren’t super comfortable and it was a bit loud outside our window. But overall, great hotel, I would stay there again.
- 5/5
The location is good and the staff are friendly
- 4/5
the bed comfort and food is okey
- 5/5
Excellent option for a stay during NYC visit. Very close to Subway. The neighborhood seems safe. Highly recommend!
- 3/5
The hotel is ok, pretty ok with the price
- 5/5
I didn't like the small twin beds but it worked out for us. Also there needs to be a microwave in the rooms especially when after hours we can't use the dining area.
- 3/5
The shower door was broken. The sink didn’t have hot water.
- 1/5
- 5/5
Great room for a great price
- 5/5
It was clean
- 4/5
Other guests could be heard in the hallway Air conditioning very noisy
- 5/5
Was close to subway. Very quiet and clean.
- 5/5
We enjoyed our stay. It was perfect for what we needed. Clean and breakfast was good.
- 5/5
The location is perfect—right in a neighborhood that’s easy to explore, with plenty to do nearby. I really appreciated how close the train and bus stations were, making it super convenient to get around the city. Breakfast was another highlight: good, hot, and satisfying each morning. Overall, it was a wonderful experience, and I’d absolutely recommend LIC Hotel to anyone visiting New York
- 4/5
It was good for what we needed for our short stay and I would definitely stay there again in the future
- 5/5
Great Val
- 5/5
Much better on the inside!

Staff was nice
- 5/5
Great value. The rooms and services are top quality.
- 5/5
check in was simple and the rooms are always accommodating. Love staying here.
- 5/5
Clean convenient and comfortable but rooms are not sound proof
- 5/5
We've stayed at LIC Hotel multiple times now, it's always a good experience! Comfortable rooms, convenient location, solid breakfast every morning. We will be back!!!
- 2/5
the hotel has bad coffe after hours , only one.small.vending machine
- 4/5
Stay was fine. Great location. Staff was very helpful. Off-street parking was great. The only down side was the bed was more like a cot—a mattress on a metal frame.
- 5/5
Merci LIC
- 4/5
The staff were courteous
- 4/5
A good hotel in a so so neighborhood
- 5/5
The most extraordinary things about our stay at LIC Hotel were the courteous and generous service of the staff and the ample, reasonably priced parking. The room was clean and well-appointed. The one down side was that on our first night, we stayed in a room with a queen-sized bed that was a bit clanky, with a metal frame that made noise whenever we moved. My husband mentioned to the front desk staff that the bed had caused us to lose sleep and they were more than happy to accommodate us by offering us a new room for our second night that was bigger and had a (much more comfortable) king-sized bed! I was blown away by how, without hesitation, they went out of their way to make us happy! Also, breakfast at the LIC was ample and inexpensive and we were an easy walk away from a subway station that was only one stop from mid-town Manhattan. Overall, I would highly recommend the LIC Hotel and would definitely stay there again.

Great location, good service.

The hotel and room were clean. The room is a little small. The breakfast was made fresh right there in front of you, which I appreciated.

Shower drain was backing up but otherwise a great hotel stay

Not far from the piers, the neighborhoods are calm and there are many places nearby.

Nice rooms and very good breakfast, friendly staff.

Quiet, modern, great breakfast, clean and comfy beds.

Location is great for easy subway transportation access. Great rooftop with views. Decent continental breakfast. Friendly staff. Bed can use a little upgrading, but an overall affordable good hotel.
- 5/5
It is very quiet hotel among the busy city life.

Breakfast included was good. Room was small but clean. The bed was not comfortable.

Not a bad spot at all. Decent area. Room was small and pricey, but, New York.

First quirk was getting a text message asking me to repeat all the info in my reservation - including credit card info. Blew that off only to find when I arrived at the hotel the person at the reg counter said I still had to do it to check in. This ain’t Citizen M! Next was the room. Small and comfortable all things considered although some floor planks were damaged. No closet though. Only a hangar rack with a deck for shoes and bags.problem being the refrigerator took up half the rack for a bag. Finally the bathroom. Only a shower, which is fine, but why have a bath spigot that you have to divert from if it’s exclusively a shower. Weird.

Very convenient! Clean and good service as usual

My partner — who has a chronic condition where she is sensitive to certain artificial fragrances — started experiencing such severe nausea, dizziness, and chills from the chemicals that we had to leave the hotel at 12am our first night. The front desk staff were kind and accommodating, and patiently worked with the Expedia staff to help us end our reservation early. As we were entering and leaving, we could not help but notice that the smell also lingered the lobby and breakfast area. I would recommend that this hotel rethink its use of such harsh chemical cleaners and fragrances. These kinds of chemicals can trigger chronic illness flare-ups and irritate the airways and eyes of workers and guests. It made me and my partner wonder if there were cleanliness or safety issues the hotel is trying to cover up by using such strong artificial products.

Wonderful view of the Manhattan skyline from the rooftop. One block from the subway and three stops to Midtown.

Despite being in the city, it was clean, well-kept, and pretty quiet. The room is ample enough for a single person, and the mini fridge comes in handy. It was a plus for the breakfast, and I believe there was a restaurant above if you wanted. The subway is a literal 5 minute or less walk from the hotel, making it super accessible to get anywhere in NYC. I loved it here! I'll definitely stay here again when I visit NYC in another time. 100% recommend!

Absolutely loved the double-ply toilet paper.

SFO), she advised I could have breakfast there, subsequently my room was ready and I checked in early which was really appreciated. I have booked this botel for another stay at the end of the month, convenient for subway, Target (fruit, snacks etc) and cancelled my other hotel booking. SFO)

Like the stay

The immediate neighborhood isn’t the most vibrant, but there are some good dining options and essentials like a Trader Joe’s and Target nearby. The hotel offers a free breakfast and has helpful staff, but don’t expect luxury-think clean, simple, and functional. Overall, I got a great deal and would only stay here again if I found a similar rate. If you’re looking for a budget-friendly place with excellent subway access to Manhattan, LIC Hotel is a practical choice.

When I checked in, this caused a little bit of a delay, as the reception desk attendant tried to set up a tablet for me to use to fill out the form ... using someone else's device to provide my personal and financial details is something I would absolutely never do ... but they couldn't get the tablet working, so a supervisor just told the receptionist to check me in "normally". I received a similar text at the end of my stay, to check out, but I ignored it. I understand the push to automate things, & to use technology when it can be used, but businesses need to keep in mind that (a) some folks don't handle financial matters on cellular devices, and (b) infosec is just as important to ordinary people as it is to businesses. BTW: the view from the roof of this hotel is spectacular.

I asked about places to eat, and I was directed to the all night diner. Turns out there were a couple of bars just around the corner that none of the staff knew about.

Overall the hotel was clean and breakfast was great. The bed was good though a little on the hard side, but that is a personal preference.

Decent rooftop. Beds are like cots.

The LIC Hotel is only one stop away from Manhattan but lots cheaper than Manhattan hotels. Should you need an accessible subway station, however, be advised that Court Square is only accessible going into town. Coming back, you'll have to climb stairs or go out of your way to find an escalator. The hotel's rooms are small and kind of bare bones. There's nothing to the pillows on the bed, so if you have neck or back problems, be warned. There's also not a lot of room around the bed, nor is there an electrical outlet easily reachable from the nightstand.

Great stay, thank you LIC hotel!

Simple hotel, clean, a little noise!
- 3/5
Stay was OK. Can hear everything in the hallway. The place appeared to be used as a low budget hotel more so than it is now or even some kind of boarding house. There is an odor in the rooms and the building. The bed was cheap and uncomfortable and It did not have the safest of feels. It was just a place to get some sleep from being in the hospital all day. I would not stay again if I didn't have to.
