Reviews
The hotel is generally well-liked for its location, staff, and cleanliness, but some guests have issues with the size and condition of the rooms, as well as the quality of the amenities. Some guests also report problems with the hotel's services, such as the air conditioning, shower, and TV.

We didn’t have A/C the 2 nights we stayed. They first night we called front desk to let them know and they sent someone up and he changed the filter which looked like it hadn’t been changed in months. I wouldn’t stay again

Great service. The only negative comment is that the rooms are too small.

The location of this hotel is very good and the staff are nice. However, the rooms are very dated, with old furniture, and it seems unclean. The room had a very musty smell.

I prefer smaller boutique hotels like this. Something was going on with the elevator and the wait was 10-12 minutes each time I had to use it. My room was on the 16th floor.

The location is extraordinary. The hotel is dated. The AC machine is old and noisy. The room was clean but could be better. The water temperature in the shower was mild. Not warm enough to shower more than 2 minutes.

Nothing The hotel is like a closed box. No proper ventilation. It does not match the price I paid. They charge heavy amounts only of it central location. There are may other hotels in the same locality that are mush better & with less charges. I recommend other travellers to give this hotel a last preference.

The location was good The staff at the front she was giving me a room not what I booked a high floor room. Then she gave me a room with a joint door and it was too noisy not much sleep for the 3 nights not worth what I paid for

The property is a bit older, and it shows in the rooms. Small room, tiny closet, a closet door that wouldn't stay closed, a musty odor, and just big enough for one person. My check-in at 1:00 a.m. was quick and easy, and the guest services gentleman at that hour was very kind and quick to bring me some slippers and a robe to get settled in. Both staff at the Concierge desk were helpful in answering questions, but one of them gave the impression she was too busy to stop her work to help one time. She got better as the stay went on. Staff in the restaurant and bars were very friendly, helpful, efficient, and polite. Doormen/valet were also friendly and very helpful, except for one who mistakenly assumed that guests don't speak languages other than English. His rude and unnecessary comments about guests as they passed through the doors did not go unnoticed, even though he may have thought he was safe by not speaking in English. Overall, my stay was very nice. I may book here again if travelling solo. Travelling with the spouse or sharing a room with others, I might consider other hotels nearby.

This hotel has EVERYTHING - a perfect location for walking or taking the train anywhere you need, access to the park, clean and cool rooms (temp and aesthetic), and all of the amenities you need. I absolutely loved our stay at this hotel. It's such a gem - and we had a balcony overlooking 57th, which was such a treat after a long day on our feet. I will be back!!!

It smelled bad in the room, mustiness. And after I checked out, they tried to charge me 560$ for smoking. And I don’t smoke. Also furniture is pretty old.

Kiev the manager was absolutely amazing, made my mum and I feel extremely welcome! Slight issues with other members on front desk as they weren’t very helpful when it came to checking in. Location is incredible, house keepers extremely friendly and attentive. But the manager really made the stay worth the money. Some members of the front of house team we quite rude and dismissive.
- 4/5
Location was excellent There is no lounge or place just to sit if room not ready. There also is no business center. Room was not ready for us. Also despite registering 3 adults, no sheets were available for the sofa bed. We had to wait for housekeeping after being out all day.

The Paris bar bistro next-door had very good food. I also ordered room service and it was good and quick. The staff was nice and polite, but not really super helpful. My hotel room and the hallway were filthy. In my room, you could see dust piled up between the floor and the wall. In the bathroom, there were stains all over the ceiling. The bathtub was also stained, and if you walked across the floor and then stood in the bathtub, even after showering, your feet were black. It was utterly disgusting. I asked the manager if I could see a different room, hoping that would be cleaner. It was not. The hotel was very disappointing. I would never stay there again. It was not of that caliber nor should’ve been charging that much. It was in need of a deep deep cleaning.

Staff was very accommodating. I ordered room service from the restaurant attach the hotel and it was really good and came relatively quick. The hotel is on 57th St. between sixth and seventh, which is a really good walkable location. You can walk to many restaurants, shops, and the theater district.

The hotel’s location is excellent. The room is compact and minimally designed, which is appealing. I was very satisfied with the overall cleanliness, especially the bed and linens. It’s also a nice perk that the hotel covers entrance fees to certain museums. The room offers limited space for two people to move around. The absence of bathroom slippers is a significant drawback. The safe was not functioning properly—the buttons were unresponsive—so we couldn’t use it when needed. The hairdryer needs cleaning, as the airflow is filled with dust. The listing advertised free Wi-Fi, however it was actually a paid service, which was disappointing. Our room faced the ventilation shaft at the back, with a constant humming noise. Additionally, the in-room ventilation system was quite loud, making it difficult to sleep while it was running. Overall, while the stay was satisfactory, the price feels high for what is offered. Other hotels on the same street provide more, such as a working safe, larger rooms, street-facing views, bathroom slippers and free Wi-Fi.

Staff was courteous and helpful. The room was clean and comfortable. The shower had great water pressure. Overall an excellent stay with a quick walk to Lincoln Center and Central Park.

Rooms are clean, great location, doormen are super friendly, but that is where it ends. Concierge seemed like we were bothering them. We weren’t even asking them to make reservations but where to grab something around the hotel while we were waiting on our room. “Oh there’s lots of places”….. staff at front desk were not helpful with questions. I had a couple of early work calls that came up that I was hoping to do outside of our suite so my wife and daughter could sleep. Asked about using a meeting room that I knew was empty and they told me that I would have to do it from my room. There are lots of other properties near here that we will choose from next time.

Staying at Le Meridien Central Park was perfect. I came in to town to enjoy Manhattan over a weekend and everything was great. Staff super friendly- from front desk, concierge, to room service and doorman service. I stood in one of the (4) rooms with a Terrace and let me tell you- it was the best with a wonderful view both morning and night. It made my Birthday celebratory weekend one to remember. The restaurant Paris Bar Brasserie was also super convenient with great service and food. Hotel is super convenient with a short 5 minute to walk to Central Park, Bergdorfs literally down the street with Carnegie hall at the corner. What was also great, is I had tickets to the NY Ballet and again, only a 5-7 minute cab ride to Lincoln Center on a Saturday night. It was awesome. I will stay here again. Thanks Le Meridien.

Room was neglected. Leaking pipes. Housekeeping left their cleaning supplies in room. Air vent wasn’t working. Changed my bill when I was already home from my trip. Staff were unavailable and unfriendly. Someone killed themselves by the hotel and was never addressed by the hotel. Had random people knock at my door and couldn’t see through the peephole. Very scary.

The service and Brasserie were very good. The room fixtures are worn and badly stained. telephone did not operate at all in 1704 and was moved to 2804. Walls in new room broken and scratched. Bed was saggy in both rooms. Not 5 stars by any means. The lobby is pretty although the same debris sat on the entry floor for 2 full days which shows the general neglect of management. Never again and there are FAR Better hotels in the same price range offering better rooms and amenities.

I am a very needy guest, calling the desk for more pillows and blankets and such and not once did they sound annoyed and they practically fulfilled my request before I was done asking for it. This is the perfect hotel, employees and perfect location on billionaires row. Grocery stores and drug store just a 30 second walk. Pizza, Italian., Mediterranean right across the street. Açai bowl just around the corner and the Russian Tea Room just a 2 min walk. THIS is the place to stay.

Went to both restaurants at this location and would recommend them both.

at check in, the use of the room key to activate the elevator wasn't explained(I had not experienced that type of system.) The staff was very courteous & very helpful with the few questions I had, even helping with transportation to airport at check-out. The room was serviced nicely each day. Paris Bar & Le Jardin Rooftop restaurants were accommodating w/o reservations. Both were pleasant, well kept, well staffed & the fare was well portioned, timely served & delicious. Overall, I would definitely book another stay if I return to New York City!

Great location and staff was friendly. Rooms were tiny AND had no closet space. That was weird. Hate the coffee machine. Didn't like that the staff didn't have identifiable nametags or outfits. Never knew who were guests or bellmen. Very uncomfortable with that. HATED that they snuck in a $40 per day resort fee. Missed that in the booking. They tried to play it up that if you ate there you'd get a credit. Will never go back, even though I used the credit (to spend money I didn't know i had to spend).

The room was on a lower floor facing the back of the hotel. Absolutely No view and very little natural light. Room was tiny and you could barely walk around the bed. I requested a room change but the front desk refused to change it for me. What's even worse is that I am a Titanium Elite with Marriott and they notified me that I would not get any benefits of my status. I will NEVER stay in this hotel again. It also concerns me using booking.com to book rooms at Marriott properties, the fact that they are not willing to give status recognition for reservations booked off their site is very concerning. Room size was terrible, it couldn't have been over 180 sq feet, when I booked the room I want to say it was advertising 240-280 sq. ft. The wifi didn't work in the room at all. The room had an adjoining door and the neighbors next door were noisy. Between the no light, tiny room, and no wifi I felt like I was in a cage. Definitely NOT RECOMMENDED.

I had stayed at the Parker Meridian many times and thought that is where I booked my reservation. The picture shown is of the former hotel and deceptive. When told at checkin there was a $40 a day Mandatory charge, but it could be used in the the restaurant or bar was insulting. You are telling guests they must spend $40 a day and if not they will be billed anyway. I discussed it with the person unduly and it was not charged. I believe this is illegal and will check with an attorney. The room was very small and with the bed low and practically on the floor difficult to get into or out of. I will not return.

The check in person was eager to help and was nice enough. The room is almost laughably small and I’m not a fan of sinks outside of the bathroom (in the bedroom). Bedsheets had a stain on them but they were apologetic and quick to rectify. The rooms were poorly designed in that the AC vent hits directly and unrelentingly on the bed so it’s uncomfortable if you do not want a draft ON you. Room service process was weird and food was well below average. Checkout desk attendant was rude, unprofessional and unhelpful. Hotel was under staffed generally. Overall, it’s a safe, clean, decent stay and the price is good for the area. I will not be back

I enjoyed my stay at the hotel very much. The staff was exceedingly nice. What I didn't like is the configuration of the shower, which is difficult to access. You have to get in the shower before you can turn on the water, because of the strange glass partition that's not movable. I also would have liked to have had a comfortable chair to sit in while I was reading. The only chair in the room was a stiff back desk chair.

The hotel was perfectly situated and very convenient location. Top notch staff the room was well appointed even though it was small there was a place for everything. Bathroom was newly updated. Big window made the room bright with blackout shades perfect for the morning no complaints. I was able to check in a little bit earlier due to an impending snowstorm, which I really appreciate it. I will definitely be back.

Vijay was a great help getting us checked in and providing amenity information. We arrived before check-in was available, but there's enough to do in that area that time flew by. The on-site restaurant was available for breakfast, and had some of the best croissants and tea I've ever had. Given the opportunity, we would definitely go back.

The lobby is small and there are a few amenities close by. But the Paris restaurant next-door is wonderful. There were a few occasions when I went to the front desk ask a question or request help, but there was nobody there since the receptionist was outside the hotel.

I’m a Marriott Bonvoy member. Marriott should be embarrassed by this facility. The room has broken wood furniture from the 1950. For the price due to the provoking to Central Park I would recommend staying a a more modern facility with functional elevators and taking an uber. Marriott shame on you

We went for a weekend and it’s a pretty penny so you would imagine it’s updated but nope. 1 restaurant, outdated furniture, outdated bathrooms. So disappointing. On a good note… the lobby smells good.

I think the property needs a little refresh or a consideration of how to utilize spaces; especially in the lobby. In all fairness the restaurant, that was at ground level, was under renovation so let’s be fair. It is a little expensive for what you get, but I’m assuming if I had a Central Park view it would be worth it. But I would definitely plan out months in advance, so I get a better price for what I’m getting.

We were a party of four and booked a single room with two double beds. Unfortunately, the room was exceedingly small for four people, and the air conditioning was problematic. The staff, however, were extremely accommodating and moved us to individual rooms with king size beds. The majority of the rooms are a king size bed format, and in my opinion, the only way to go when staying at this hotel. The Hotel rooftop bar was recently renovated and a great place to enjoy breakfast or evening cocktails. The downstairs restaurant is under renovations and should open soon. We would definitely stay here again, but ensure you have a room with a king size bed.

Housekeeping was very helpful and always showed up to clean even after we told them to come back later. The room service they offer is fairly delicious and open pretty late. Overall great customer service and they don't charge extra to hold your bags if you have a late flight back home.

The shower had completely empty shampoo/conditioner/soap bottles that were mounted to the wall. Getting in a shower and then realizing there is no soap/shampoo is a huge annoyance. I would expect that to be part of basic housekeeping. Several flies were in the room/halls at all times.

Service was good , staff very helpful about providing info on area and requests. Breakfast was a limited choice and same each day which could improve. Although my understanding is the main lobby restaurant was undergoing a refurbishment so that could be the reason.

The room was cute and clean, however, my friend’s room looked different and was not so cozy on the lower floor. Was nice to receive $$ credit per day and I used it at the rooftop. The service there was ok seemed like they were short staffed at the rooftop.

Overall, the stay was fine but we were disappointed because this is not the same building the hotel used to be in. It has moved to a smaller boutique hotel building just next door from the original. The room was smaller than what we have stayed in, in the past in the original building, the lobby was very small compared to the grand entrances of the previous building and burger joint is obviously no longer in the lobby (it has moved to where Norma’s used to be).

The hotel is OK at best! Super tiny room. Room service trays left out 24hours in the hallways. There wasn’t a time we went in the hotel someone was at the front desk screaming about accommodations. Very ghetto. Decore is nice. You don’t get much of anything with your stay. So if you are looking for BANG for your buck this is NOT the place for you.

I googled Parker Meriden and this hotel came up. Le Méridien is nothing like Parker Méridien. It was very disappointing. But the staff particularly VJ made up for it. He was wonderful. The hotel is in terrible condition and right next to very loud construction.

Fantastic location in the theater district. One thing we noticed was how quiet it was at night. Probably good insulation but perhaps location of the building in the center of a block helped.

Location! Location! The hotel is located on the same block as the Carnegie Hall, a few blocks from Central Park, and the most luxurious shopping of NYC! The entire staff was nice and helpful. The restaurant has excellent food and five star service. It is an older Meridian but the room was clean and the sheets were crisp. Since I don’t go to NYC to stay inside of my room, the age of the hotel didn’t bother me at all. I would stay at this hotel again!

Staff was welcoming and helpful. We stayed here for the location which was near to our wedding venue. Rooms are small but clean.

Hotel not as pictured on the Hotels.com website; Park is not viable . Construction is very loud.

We had paid extra for a park view, concierge room floor. We were not given a park view room, in fact the room wasn't even on the side of the building that faced the park. And we were forced to pay an additional $100 for the concierge. When I expressed my dissatisfaction they said there was nothing they could do, but that they would refund the $100 and give us Marriott points, but they did not do so. I inquired to still request what they promised, but they have not yet responded.

This was not a bad hotel. It was convienent just old and funky.
- 3/5
Hotel was clean and we didn't hear any noise at night. Although the mattress was comfortable, I did not like the platform bed as it was very low to the ground. The phone in the room didn't work so we had to call the front desk from our cell phones. Our tv also didn't work and then it just started working again. Although there is a resort fee, they give you a $40 voucher for food and drink in the restaurant. We used it for breakfast, which was really good.
- 5/5
Excellent value in mid-town.
- 5/5
Perfect location! With a subway stop down the block and a grocery store steps away, this hotel was convenient to everywhere we wanted to go. The area is very nice and safe. We got some vouchers for the hotel restaurant and were surprised at how good it was - Grill 57. I’m not sure if it was new, but the servers did seem a little discombobulated. Regardless, they were nice. Without the vouchers we probably wouldn’t have eaten there based on the prices. Our room was on the 7th floor and had no special view, but it was very spacious and clean. The bathroom is so beautiful! No complaints about the room except our fridge didn’t work, but it wasn’t a problem. This was a great deal and we had a great time. I wish I would’ve checked out the rooftop bar…next time!
- 2/5
The property is an old and rundown. The rooms do not look like they do in the pics. You can get more for your money in a different hotel, I was very disappointed
- 4/5
Great comfortable hotel very good quality price and great location. Checking was a breeze.Rooms are very nice and quiet.Only bummer the view of Central Park is none existent since their is a gigantic building been erected across the street… Seriously this is definitely a keeper will be back in June and August as long as the price stays in checks.
- 3/5
Overall didn’t love my experience and will be stay elsewhere next time
- 2/5
Expedia told me that the parking would be 40 dollars and the parking ended up being over 100 dollars.
- 4/5
hours when we noticed the issue. My wife called and was promptly helped by Asimina Mitilineos who found the wallet and shipped it to us a few days later. That stuff matters. Also allowing us to leave our luggage with them after checkout for as long as we wanted also matters. Many NYC hotels are now charging for that service which seems crazy...
- 4/5
Family stay at a junior sweet. A little tight but overall good. The tv is hard to figure out. Location is great. The people are very friendly, especially the night service attendant, bell hop and valet.

Wonderful time and staff was helpful and courteous!
