Reviews
Guests generally appreciate the attentive staff, comfortable rooms, and central location of the hotel. However, the breakfast area is frequently criticized for being too small, and some guests have issues with the size of the rooms and bathrooms.

Great location! It was an easy walk to everything. Room was very clean. Staff were polite and very helpful. Having breakfast provided was an extra bonus! The area where breakfast is served is too small for the amount of guests. Every morning it was very congested and there was not enough seating.

Location and cleanliness Breakfast area could be bigger but impossible when the space isn’t there. Just time your breakfast for the right time when it isn’t busy.

What I liked about this hotel was primarily its great location. The room itself was very clean, which I definitely appreciated. Additionally, having black coffee available on the way out was a helpful and welcome touch for starting the day. Unfortunately, there were several major drawbacks. The breakfast was terrible and completely not worth paying for; honestly, it is best to pretend it doesn't exist and not include it in your plans at all. The customer service was also a huge disappointment. The entire team seemed constantly frustrated and irritated, and several different employees treated us very poorly, making for a highly unpleasant experience. Finally, the room was extremely cramped, and despite my initial thoughts, the beds were ultimately not comfortable at all.

Overall, we had an amazing stay and would rate this hotel 9/10. The ambiance was great, and although the hotel is small, that’s expected for most New York hotels. The room size was perfect for the two of us and did not feel cramped at all. The room and bathroom were very clean. I especially liked the bathroom because the water pressure was great, and they provided shampoo, conditioner, plus two soaps (one for the sink and one for the shower). No toothbrush/toothpaste. Breakfast is included daily. The breakfast area is small, which is understandable given the building size, so I recommend going early to get a table. Breakfast is self-service and clean-as-you-go. Common options were scrambled eggs, ham, waffles, bagels, sliced bread, cereals/oatmeal, fruits, coffee, tea, juice, and milk. You make your own toast, cereal, coffee, or tea. We always went early, so I’m not sure how often food gets refilled. The lobby has a 24/7 free coffee/tea station, free cookies, and drinks/snacks available for purchase. You can pay immediately or charge them to your room. There’s no microwave in the room, but guests can use one in the lobby. Rooms include a fridge and coffee maker. Housekeeping cleaned our room and changed towels daily. One thing to note: housekeeping emptied room trash bins but didn’t automatically remove outside food trash we left near the door. After leaving a note asking them to remove it, they did. The staff were all very nice, friendly, and accommodating. They also offer room service, though some menu items are only available during certain hours, so it may not be fully 24/7. A helpful feature is that they can store your luggage if you arrive too early for check-in or need somewhere to leave your bags after check-out. We stayed 7 days and 6 nights (04/26/26 - 05/02/26 and paid a flat $200 deposit (better than hotels charging per night). The only thing missing for me was a full-length mirror since the only mirror was in the bathroom. The TV is cable only, not a smart TV, so no Netflix or streaming apps. The only downside we noticed was the air conditioning. We only saw a vent with wall temperature controls, but didn’t really feel cold air. It wasn’t an issue for us since my husband and I get cold easily, and opening the window was enough. We chose not to report it, but I’m sure staff would assist if needed. Since this is New York, expect to hear daily sirens from police/fire trucks, but that’s just city noise and didn’t bother us.

Just the location The location of the hotel was convenient, but unfortunately, that was the only positive aspect. The bed was very uncomfortable and left us with back pain. While the pillows were fine, the duvet was sandwiched between two sheets and kept sliding off all night. The window couldn't be opened at all; even a small transom window would have helped, as the room felt very stuffy. To make matters worse, the AC was very slow to respond. The breakfast was a major disappointment. The nutritional value of the food was very low, and all the yogurts were sugary. They only served boiled eggs once a week, though it should be a daily staple. There wasn't even a basic variety of cheese. Although the area is central, there were many sketchy people around, and the lobby was quite cramped. Considering the price, we expected much better quality. We wouldn't stay here again.

The hotel was very clean, staff was very friendly and helpful. The room itself was spacious and amenities included. Overall if you are looking for a nice place to stay that is affordable and conveniently close to other stores and restaurants in NYC, this is a great place to stay!

The room was tidy. The staff was extremely nice and helpful. The rooms were a bit small, but for the price in a main tourist spot in NYC I don't think you could find better! Breakfast was included as well which was a major plus. Would definitely stay again. Plenty of shops and restaurants around. Time Square was max. a 5 minute walk!

The breakfast was fine. The room was clean and the bed was comfortable. I enjoyed the freshly baked cookies at 5pm. The area where breakfast was served was quite small. In order to avoid the "rush" we had to get up earlier so that we could sit and enjoy breakfast without feeling like we needed to rush in order for others to have breakfast. As breakfast is served weekdays from 6am-9am, 8am was the breakfast rush. A suggestion would be to extend serving breakfast until 10am providing four hours instead of three hours.

I will stay here again

Very clean room, good size and nice shower. Perfect for my stay. Breakfast wasn't great in the hotel but with a huge range of delis and breakfast places close by, I just ate out. Would definitely use again

Check-in and check-out was a breeze! The hotel is great: Clean, affordable, friendly staff and it's in a prime location. Though I appreciate a free breakfast, the selection leaves a lot to be desired. Perhaps adding more hot protein items like bacon and sausage with the scrambled eggs would be a good idea. The warm cookies available at the front desk after 5pm are a welcome snack and the complimentary water, coffee and tea is a nice treat. Overall great experience, thank you!

Breakfast was the worst hotel breakfast i have had. It is in the basement in a space that is way too small for the number of patrons they have. Food is not refreshed frequently enough and they stop refreshing the food 30 minutes before breakfast finishes.

My husband and I absolutely love the hotel especially its location. The staff were super friendly lobby was clean and secured. Guest with room keys access all hours of the day. Our room type was horned super clean and cozy. It was so hard to leave but we definitely added this hotel as our sweet spot. We will be back! Thank you to the young gentleman that looks like Miles Morales but from the Bronx that checked us in early afternoon and out at 3:30am. Give that guy a raise! See y’all soon!!

The room was very clean, the bed very comfortable, they had a very friendly and professional staff. The breakfast was decent. I’d like to add that you will not be disappointed if you select this hotel for your stay in NY.

Parking was just across the street making it easy to come and go. The staff was friendly, helpful, and informative about the area. Our room was clean and adequate for our family of 4.

Overall my experience was good. It was close to the destination I wanted to go. I go have to say that the staff in morning was better. The room was clean but a bit cold. I did request for the blanket and turn the A/C off. The breakfast was okay. I did wish they had 2% milk. Other than that everything was good. It was a good stay

Noise from walkway outside room and the room door bangs shut…Breakfast room is so small with less choices. Small sitting seats at lobby.

The wifi didn't work very well at all, no cell service within the property, no smart TVs and the cable TV only worked intermittently. We were also able to hear everything going on in the room next to ours. The gentleman that checked us in was super lovely but every other staff member we spoke to seemed bothered any time we had a question. The location was decent but we for sure wouldn't recommend this hotel to anyone.

Close to everything. Good food around the corner. One of the front desk guys was very rude when I had to extend my stay another day due to the snow storm in January my flights were canceled. He was chatting it up with another couple in Spanish but acted like I was a bother. I left another review about him though for my stay on 26th. Other than that, the lobby is so tiny and breakfast was pretty lack luster. No meat options at all. Waffles, eggs, muffins is it.

Offered a much smaller (cheaper) room to move to that would not fit all of our things, our show dogs things, and our dog. Space heater was the only solution offered otherwise. Desk clerks also seem to think that emailing them your credit card number to pay for a reservation is a safe and secure method of taking payment. Back and forth with them and Expedia and neither will accept responsibility or give a refund despite finger pointing at each other. Hotel thinks $100 fee refund is sufficient and told us to go thru Expedia for further refunds, then denied the refund request despite them saying they had nothing to do with the room refund. Make it make sense. Don't book here. The management is incredibly dismissive and they will not properly compensate you for a nightmare like we had. Expedia is also zero help. $45 in One Key cash for this godawful experience is not acceptable.

I've used Ls Quinta often before. Staff are always polite and accommodations pretty good. Nice breakfast. However the Manhatten site is the first that I've ever encountered thst pumps what smells like Glade air freshener throughout the hotel. My daughter like many other people has a terrible reaction to synthetic fragrrances and developed an instant migraine to the fragrance. We will never stay at that site again. As a matter of fact. If this is where La Quinta is headed, we will no longer use this chain!

Nice hotel located convenient to many Midtown attractions. Very walkable area. Located on a "quieter" street so very little outside noise (we were on the 4th floor). Hotel was a rather "skinny" building but they used their space well. Room was in great shape and larger than we were predicting for a 2 bed unit. Breakfast area was very small with limited seating for the number of people trying to use it (we opted to take food and eat in the lobby). Hotel staff were very friendly and helpful. Good security for the building. Would definitely recommend and consider staying their again.

I loved it! Would come back and stay here. Walkable and close to everything with good food options everywhere. The parking across the street was easy and discounted when staying at the hotel. They held my luggage before check in and after check out. The staff was so nice, place was clean. Had 0 issues. Definitely worth it and the price is good for the area.

A GREAT stay. Clean and quiet and locked down front doors that require key access. Soft bed and plenty of linens. Friendly and supportive staff. Don’t be put off by the neighborhood. Would stay here again!

The hotel itself was perfect for a NY stay. Bed was comfy, bathroom was nice, room was super clean. The free breakfast was perfect for just a quick bite. Staff was very friendly and helpful. My daughter and I felt safe in the area but it was a little disheartening with the amount of homeless/displaced citizens in the area. They didn't bother us at all, was just sad to see just about everywhere. No concerns for our safety though especially since the door requires a key for you to enter the building. Overall, would consider staying here again!

The breakfast was repetitive and inedible. The eggs were dry, tasteless, and had the texture of cake. I couldn’t eat the hotel breakfast even once during my stay. The TV in the room was outdated and not a smart TV . I couldn’t even watch YouTube or use screen mirroring. The room itself was also quite small. However, overall, the room and hotel was clean.

The hotel was perfect. Clean, great value and relatively close to attractions. Breakfast was good. Front desk very helpful, especially at check in. Only bad part was parking garage across the street. Way over priced even with hotel validation.

The room and lobby was exceptionally clean as well as the breakfast area. Warm cookies in the lobby very nice touch. Most of the staff was extremely friendly and helpful with the exception of a very rude employee who went out of her way to be unfriendly for no reason whatsoever. Or else I would have given the property and staff a full five stars.

Extremely clean lobby and room. Mostly very friendly staff with the exception of one woman who went out of her way to be extremely rude for no reason. Otherwise would have given this a full five stars, but took away a whole star because of unnecessary over unfriendliness to a very polite customer. Poor representative for the brand.

The breakfast was decent. The staff was fairly friendly and helpful. The room was tiny with no desk, but we had the penthouse, which was kind of cool. The day pass to Mid City Gym, an 8 minute walk away, was nice. That gym was pretty solid. We probably wouldn't go back to this hotel unless looking for another budget stay.

Things we noted: - It was on a quiet street but the action was just at the end of the block, which was nice - elevators were nice and generally speedy (reviews of many other NYC hotels complained extensively about slow elevators) - transit was close but not super close. Expect about a 8-10 min walk anytime you need to jump on the subway. - staff was nice, warm cookies were delicious, always coffee and ice in the lobby - breakfast was fine but nothing to gush over. Bagels, muffins, coffee, juice, yogurt plus 2 hot items rotated by the day (egg type, meat type) - rooms were clean & quiet, beds were comfy. Rooms are pretty tiny but wasn’t surprised for NYC. hopefully you like your roommate! Overall, all 5 travelers give this a thumbs up!

The rooms are small but clean and modern. The staff are friendly and the included breakfast, cookies in the evening and beverage station are a huge bonus. This property is also conveniently located and has a great price for its value. This was my second time staying here and I definitely would again.

This is an average 3-star hotel, certainly not 'fabulous' as Expedia suggests. If you're sensitive to smells or mold, I wouldn’t recommend it. The lobby had a sewage/moldy odor masked by excessive air fresheners, and our room had a moldy smell coming from the sink. On the plus side, the staff was nice, the breakfast was good, and the room was overall clean.
- 5/5
It was very nice and clean.

La Quinta was such a wonderful hotel! The room we were in looked like it was remodeled. The facility was clean and the staff were really nice and friendly! What sold me on this hotel was how close it was to Times Square. It was only an 8 min walk. Such a great spot and will be definitely coming back again when I travel to NYC again!

Cafe da manha completo e bem gostoso, porem o espaco para isso esta muito pequeno - muitas pessoas acabam pegando a comida e indo para o quarto porque nao tem lugar suficiente. Localizacao boa, perto de tudo

Everything was perfect. I just hoped there was a full length mirror, but other than that i have nothing to complain about. Although with or without the full length mirror, will definitely choose this place whenever.
- 4/5
Our stay was good and as to be expected at a cheaper priced hotel in Times Square. The room was not very clean. Could use a new set of pillows...Parking garage very conveniently located across the street-valet parking $55 a day (with stamp from hotel). Elevators worked great. Breakfast was simple and INCLUDED- which is always great, cute waffle bar, eggs, yogurt, cereal, Danish, toast etc. I would stay again.
- 5/5
Extremely kind front desk. Loved the free hot cocoa, coffee, & tea in the lobby! Felt safe. Quiet. Great view.
- 4/5
Good hotel, well placed for exploring NY. Bonus that breakfast included. Only possible issue is that breakfast area is very small so if you want to sit and eat breakfast, you need to time it right. We just took it back to our room which was fine. Would use again

Excellent staff. Sufficient breakfast. And really appreciated the fast elevators (have stayed at two other hotels in NYC and wasting time waiting became an issue)

Clean ! Safe ! Excellent location! Friendly staff ! Good breakfast and excellent coffee in the lobby ! Highly recommend !
- 5/5
Though the room was a little small, it was cozy and comfortable. The rain forest shower head was the best part. A lot of tv channel options.
- 5/5
That the parking garage was right across the street
- 5/5
Very good experience overall
- 5/5
Very nice hotel in a convenient location.
- 4/5
The location is ideal for tourists who want to see the touristy things. We walked most places and grabbed the subway or bus for others. The room was clean and the beds were comfortable. The breakfast was like most hotels. The room was small and didn’t have a closet or drawers. The bathroom didn’t have any counter space and the only mirror was the one above the sink. That made it hard for several people to get ready each morning. The staff at the front desk were super friendly and helpful. They also have cookies available each evening!
- 4/5
Extremely small, clean, quiet room & bathroom. Good basic free hot & cold breakfast but limited seating & small room so be prepared to eat fast. Tea/coffee in the lobby 24/7. Parking is across the street, cost us $220 for 4 days with hotel validation, don't forget to tell them when parking. Easy walking to most sights the subway to get to far away sights. Google maps works well for subway use & walking. Don't use Uber/cabs, traffic is the worst.
- 5/5
Great hotel rooms, breakfast and location. Front desk staff were wonderful and friendly. Room cleaner did not replenish bath soap and shampoo, we ended up purchasing our own. Also on another day, our room was not cleaned by 4:30pm when we got back to the room. We saw staff cleaning the hallway carpet and asked for new towels. A little while later, staff knocked and asked if we wanted cleaned, but we declined.
- 5/5
I've stayed in a lot of Manhattan area hotels, rarely bother to write a review but worth it this time. This is a great option. The rooms are clean and modern as is the hotel in general. But the front desk staff really stands out. Friendly efficient service. Quick check in. Always a smile and quick to assist with any questions. You don't get that often in NYC. I'll be staying here again.
- 4/5
All the staff was friendly and helpful. Rooms are small but very quiet.
- 5/5
I will stay here again. Tje staff was great and very helpful. My only issue was wifi but they are working on it. We were in the heart of Manhattan. Just far enough from times square to avoid all the noise but close enough to wlk and join the fun and see the sights. Very close to the port terminal so easy access to all subway routes.
- 5/5
Thank you for a great experience!

Room small, but thats New York. Bathroom needs shelf and storage space. Room could also use more storage. Light switch turns off everything. Very goofy design.

Great customer service . Very good breakfast to start your day . Friendly staff and excellent Location .
- 5/5
Small but very nice hotel, and the Staff was very friendly and accomdating. Rooms are on the smaller side, but comfortable. No parking on property but a garage across the street. Good amount of options for food, coffee, and local pubs in the area.
- 4/5
This is a good hotel for the price. Building is clean, well designed, the Premium Room we got was very nice wtih nice fixture. There was, however, a $27 "facility fee" -- on top of the Expedia price -- that was charged at checkin. Unacceptable. We will go back to Expedia and troubleshoot this issue.

- 4/5
Great hotel, great location. Rooms are decent size and clean. Bathroom is a bit small but doable. Overall a great stay. Only bother was that I checked in online sending my ID and when I arrived at the hotel I had to check in again. The hotel should work on syncing the online check in to their system. Otherwise a gem of a hotel
- 5/5
The property was clean, maybe a bit hard to find as it’s tucked right in with minimal signage. However, not a knock on the property. We arrived to friendly staff each time and helpful. The rooms were clean and had. All you need. Would recommend without hesitation and would stay here again. Location was good.

Great location. Perfect for our stay in New York.
- 4/5
Breakfast was adequate but the breakfast area is extremely small with very little seating, not nearly enough to accommodate everyone especially if you are a group of over 2. Cookies each evening were a nice treat! Overall a nice stay though.
- 5/5
Clean hotel, love the shower and breakfast selections that staff kept well stocked. Elevator way faster than the Hampton inns we stayed at before. This will now be our first choice when returning!
- 3/5
Nice property, overall staff did a good job. Room was clean, bathroom was small, sink only, no counter space to put make up bag on. Glad I brought ear plugs, air condition was very loud. Breakfast was good, very crowded though, go early if you want to sit to eat, they do have trays to take food back to your room to eat. Plenty of options for food near hotel. Easy walk to subway & train station.
- 4/5
breakfast needs improvement, found mold on bread. Other than that the hotel is very good
- 5/5
Really nice environment. Perfect for what you need
