Reviews
The hotel receives mixed reviews with guests appreciating the friendly staff, clean rooms, and convenient location, particularly for those traveling to the cruise port. However, several guests express disappointment over the rooftop bar and restaurant being closed, as well as issues with room cleanliness and noise levels.

Well located, walkable to Times Square, Broadway Central Park. Peaceful neighborhood on West Side. Lived our Suite overlooking the Hudson. Huge room and bathroom. Loved coming back to the rooftop bar at the end of the day. Staff friendly and helpful. OK location if you don't mind walking a little or taking Uber...beats the chaos of Times Square!

Excellent hotel! The room was very clean, the bed was comfortable, and the views were amazing. The staff was welcoming and professional. We loved the Hell’s Kitchen location because it felt less crowded than Times Square but was still close to everything we wanted to see. Plenty of restaurants and attractions were within walking distance. We had a wonderful trip and would highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting New York City.

I had an excellent stay at Ink48. The room was spacious, modern, and impeccably clean, with comfortable bedding and thoughtful touches throughout. The view was absolutely stunning—waking up to the skyline and river views made the experience feel truly special. The bar and rooftop area were highlights of the property. The atmosphere was sophisticated yet relaxed, making it the perfect place to unwind after a busy day in the city. The staff was welcoming, professional, and attentive from check-in through departure. The location offers a great balance of being close to everything while still feeling peaceful and removed from the crowds. I would absolutely stay here again and highly recommend Ink48 to anyone looking for a stylish New York hotel with incredible views and exceptional service. The only negatives were the lack of room service and the inability to charge food and drinks to the room. Overall, these were minor inconveniences compared to an otherwise excellent stay.

At night not quiet from the outside, maybe the windows not good enough. Dust on the curtains, with regards of cleanliness, rest fine. Staff specially Williams always kind and helpful. Location good.

We were told at check-in that the rooftop bar would open at 4pm daily — one of the main draws of the hotel. When we tried to go up, we were turned away for a private event. That would be forgivable once, but it happened 2 out of our 3 nights there. The rooftop was completely closed to hotel guests both times, with no portion reserved for us. When you're paying to stay at a hotel that markets its rooftop bar, being locked out for the majority of your stay isn't acceptable. The service issues didn't stop there. On our first night, we called to request an extra blanket. Over 2 1/2 hours and 3 follow-up calls later, it finally arrived. For a hotel at this price point, that's a serious lapse. To top it off, the conditioner dispenser in the shower was broken and empty for the entire stay. No one ever refilled or fixed it despite us being there multiple nights. If you're considering INK48 — especially as the weather warms up and the rooftop sounds appealing — I'd look elsewhere. The amenities you're paying for may not actually be available to you.

The only good thing was the location - cause I picked it to my needs, the rest Waited for 2 hours to get us checked in, rooms were not ready, but at the same time I saw they were checking in other people and handing them out keys. Folks at the reception were completely ignorant, asked for their managers nobody ever showed up. There’s a club right across the street from the hotel, the music was blasting I couldn’t sleep well. Sound isolation is next to none. If you are looking for silence for this kind of money - go elsewhere. After all they charged me extra ~$140 on top what I already paid saying that was facility fee, that should’ve been included into booking rate in the first place so I could have the full picture, but I guess that’s their tactic to squeeze a little more outta their clients hoping nobody would notice the charge

Outstanding hotel! The rooms are huge by any standard not just New York. 5 elevators, hardly any waiting time. Great view of Hudson river and the NY skyline. Rooftop bar is outstanding and a must visit. This is going to be our go to place for any NY visits

Wonderful stay! Highly recommend. Room was larger than anticipated, very clean, bed was so comfortable and very quiet for New York standards. Staff were kind and courteous. The roof top bar (indoor/outdoor) has the best views of the Hudson. Two blocks from great pizza and bars and 15 minute walk to Times Square. 10 minutes to Hudson Yards and the Highline. Will be staying here next time we visit!

Everything is good service and good maintenance but the problem is the parking their is no parking at the hotel so you’ll need to park like 3-4 street to park your car then come back walking to the hotel, beside from that overall this a nice hotel to stay in.

Ink 48 Hotel was an amazing experience from start to finish. The hotel has a unique vibe, the staff was welcoming, and the views were absolutely beautiful. The room felt clean, comfortable, and relaxing, and the overall atmosphere made the stay feel special. Definitely one of those places that makes your trip to NYC even better. Would gladly stay again.

I was quite disappointed with my stay here. The room itself was very old and rundown. The tile in the shower was eroding and the room smelled hot and musty. The towels were torn along the perimeter. The toilet required three flushes for contents to go down each time. My only good experience was with the bellhop who was an absolute gentleman and helped me with my bags the entire time. I was extremely disappointed with my stay and did not feel that the rate for my one night was reflected at all in my experience.
- 2.5/5
The hotel rooms were quite big and location was good. The service of the hotel was an absolute joke. We were staying 7 nights and the 2nd night I raised to the stuff that I was feeling cold and if they could please leave us some blankets. They said fine. Next day no blankets, again I said the same, they noted the room number and nothing. Third time I came down on the 3rd day saying that I was gonna be there for 7 nights and I wouldn’t be paying a 4* hotel to be cold and they told me they have no blankets. The lady was so rude that she was ignoring me and the other colleague told me to go and buy one myself. Never seen such a bad treatment, also they had 3 days to fix the issue. On top of that 2 days there were no hand towels we called and they said they will bring them and never came. In addition in the 7 days the shower gel bottle within the shower was all the time empty. Worse service ever.
- 0.5/5
When i checked in my room was not ready, they made me wait for 30 minutes and checked me into a bare room with a mattress. After going back down they checked me into another room which wasnt the deluxe room with spa tub i paid for.
- 2/5
Cleaning staff great. Front desk female staff…not great. Very dismissive. Roof top bar was great. Had to ask many times for shower supplies to be refilled. Mini bar supplies taken after 3 days to stock other rooms…without notice or explanation. Apparently M&M’s in short supply. Fitness room tiny…room for 5-6 at most…but room charge has ‘facility fee’ of $45.00. Staff ‘forgot’ to tell us that fee allows us access to health club down the street. Unable to access hotel fitness centre as to crowded.

We loved the spacious room, absolutely gorgeous rooftop bar, and a cozy cafe for a breakfast and coffee! The only thing - I expected the view to be better. It would be great if the picture of the view from the window on a booking page would match the real one.

The view was good and the rooms very clean. The breakfast was also enjoyable and friendliness of staff was very good. Cleaning service did not replace towels, toilet rolls, room was very clean but lacked common sense in making sure the room was ready for guests. Sofa bed not made up for our daughter, was made for sleep after we told them. Toilet flooded was dealt with quickly by maintenence that told us to use our towels to mop the floor and room service would feliver new towels, they didnt come had to ring for more towels. Three guests only two towels. Staff are very friendly and helkpful no problem with the people but seems to lack an overall controller

Sadly the rooms are in quite bad shape. Not cleaned properly at all. At least the sheets were cleaned. I sent my feedback to the hotel and have yet to hear back. This is not my first time staying here and since the first time I’ve stayed here the cleanliness has gone downhill. The staff are lovely though.

- 3/5
The hotel was by no means horrible. It served it's purpose as a place to sleep. I was hardly there since I was out exploring the city and the location was perfect for that (with the exception of the loud rooftop bar directly across the street from my window). Here are my gripes: first of all, the staff hardly acknowledges you as you're coming and going. This is just me being picky but if I'm paying thousands of dollars for a room I want staff to greet me when I come in from a long day of walking all over the city. Hospitality just wasn't there. The size of the room was good for the city but upkeep was lacking. There were bleach strains on the headboard from housekeeping cleaning the end tables, the bathroom fan vents were clogged with dust and dirt, the ledge behind the mirror had a layer of gunk, and the window shades were in bad shape. You are going to want to lower them to shut out the city lights so you can sleep but some of them are off the tracks or get stuck going up or down at a certain point so there was always some kind of light coming in. My final gripe is the sound. I specifically booked this room because it was advertised as sound-proof and it sooo is not. Could hear people in both rooms beside me and doors closing. Only reason I would book again is location.

Spacious rooms for NYC was the best thing going for the hotel and good location. Our room was missing a full length mirror, only left with holes in the wall. Front desk seemed to not care that engineering had been working on replacing the mirror for quite some time with no replacement date. No complimentary water but they offer water in room for $6 or $9. Overstocked with too much liquor in the frig, drawer and shelves. It was raining during our stay, but hotel did not offer complimentary umbrellas which a lot of hotels do for their guests. No complimentary coffee or tea. But a Beautiful rooftop with incredible views of the city, however couldn’t sit out or get service because it is under construction for the summer. Hotel has potential, just needs to be more customer friendly and accommodating to their guests.

The front desk staff were nice , but when I was checking in I had 3 big bags and no one offered to help carry them to my room nor was offered a cart to do it myself. The guy that was serving us breakfast, only offered to give us 2 continental breakfast, when I paid for 4. He was very unprofessional and not helpful. The breakfast staff act like they didn’t want to serve us, and he act like he was doing us a favor when 3 people showed up. it wasn’t a pleasant experience. The free breakfast only included a croissant and toast , and orange juice or coffee. For all this money I could have went somewhere else. The elevator key card systems are outdated and don’t work well. The housekeeping staff were rushing us out our room for check out, the knocked on our door 5 times from 8am -12pm , when I told them the first time we are leaving at 12 , but they continued to rush us out. For all this money , in the future I will not be staying at ink48, there are a lot of different hotels in the area that are more affordable and better staff. This was an unpleasant experience for me.

Location and staff are great. A lot of the outlets in the room did not work and were very loose. Super noisy during the day due to construction on the building. 11th is very noisy in n the weekends from cars racing on the street until 4am, people yelling after leaving the clubs, and of course sirens. Drivers always honking their horns. If you have a room facing 11th be prepared.

There was something about this place—the stillness in the of the views, the way everything felt so intentional—that allowed me to slow down and reconnect with myself. It wasn’t just a stay, it was an experience. I’ve never felt more grounded, more clear, or more proud of who I’m becoming. If you’re looking for more than just a hotel—if you’re looking for a space to reset, reflect, and evolve—this is it.

The staff was AMAZING!! Everyone was so helpful with assisting us in navigating the subway and the general area. Very personable and friendly. We enjoyed our stay and will definitely come back again. The location was great and the parking garage the hotel uses is in great proximity and not a far walk to the hotel.

They had the loudest construction happening from 9am-5pm everyday and they don’t tell you. You literally wake up to it. When I complained about it, they said there is a note posted next to the TV that I should have read. They clearly know that they have you trapped because you’ve already paid.

The door man was very welcoming and pleasant. Everything on the website says something different when you get to the hotel we were told something different. The hotel website claims $40 a day for parking but we were told it’s $90 a day. When I checked in I got in the room and saw a ladder right outside window.Told the front desk who said he was going to get something to take it down but never did. Also we were never told that the roof skyline was going to be closed for wedding until I try to take my wife out to see the view and were told it’s closed. I paid almost $700 a night and was misled throughout our stay.

We had 3 issues with the room: Blackout curtains was broken, we asked to fix but it was not fixed and the staff didn’t offer another accommodation. The cooler was not working, we had a very expensive medication that needed refrigeration and we lost - we realized only at the day that we need the medication. We complained about it and nothing was done to fix the cooler or to reimburse the medication. The hotel didn’t offer any alternative. One of the sinks was clogged, no actions from the hotel as well.

We stayed in a Hudson Suite and had the most amazing time. The room was spacious and clean. The HUGE soaking tub and shower were the perfect remedy for tired feet and frozen bodies after the January snow storm. The room view was idyllic. We were on the 15th floor and had NO noise as mentioned in previous reviews. The staff was friendly and helpful. A thing to note is the distance from the nearest subway station. However, the bus does run on 50th street around the corner. You are close to the action of Times Square and Broadway but removed enough to have more quiet in the city. Would absolutely stay again.

I wasn’t aware that the valet parking was $80 and you couldn’t go in or out for $80 you should’ve been able to leave if u wanted to . They also charged me extra for asking for the car because I left something in it that I needed and they didn’t tell me I saw it on my bank transactions . The breakfast that I paid $35 for only came with toast croissant and tea smh never again

Pretty good hotel overall, only minus was arriving at 10:45pm and the valet stating that they stop working at 10:30 so had to find a nearby parking myself and then walk back to the hotel.
- 2/5
Friendly staff-however I would not recommend this hotel. I stayed in a Studio-Terrace room on the 17th floor but there were no blinds or curtains to block out the sun or give me any privacy. I had to get dressed in my restroom everyday. For the quality that is advertised, the room lacked basic amenities like a fridge and microwave- I had to go to the lobby to use the staff microwave in the break room. I tried to call the front desk about it but the hotel phone in my room didn’t work- not even a dial tone, visible blue corrosion nonetheless. There is a constant rumbling and shaking that is both audible and felt all through the night which made it hard to fall asleep on top of being forced to wake up with the sun(there weren’t any curtains), I slept better on my flight home. I went down to the lobby to voice my frustrations to the front desk and was told they would refund my “resort” fee and more than 2 weeks after my stay I have yet to receive anything from this establishment. I’m reasonable and understand the rumblings may be out of the control of the hotel but this “4 Star” hotel severely lacked basic accommodations. Friendly staff though.
- 5/5
The hotel itself and room was amazing! The staff was always friendly and accommodating. Very nice, clean and up to date hotel. The restaurant that is in the hotel downstairs isn’t actually part of the hotel so it isn’t available for room service. We did attempt to go there but the menu was so small and honestly did not have something each of our family members would eat. My mother ate there once and had a burger. She said it was ok but nothing special. Also said it was overpriced. We chose to order out if at the hotel for meals instead. Overall, I 100% recommend staying here and I would stay here again. I loved the hotel itself and was very impressed with the ambiance, staff friendliness and cleanliness.
- 1/5
At 2:50 the room wasn’t ready and they didn’t seem to care. Nice room, but they charge you for everything. Early check in, late check out even when they aren’t busy. Complete bs!
- 3/5
Now for the details. If youre looking to explore new york, this hotel is a bit away from all tourist locations. Although it looks close, the blocks to get to downtown are really long. The hotel itself is really nice. Very sophisticated. And seems luxurious. My room was big, had two sinks, a couch, a tub and a shower (seperate). Access to the gym is 24 hours, this will be your main refill for water if you need it. Now for the downside. The rooftop is really a restaurant. If youre coming during the snow season they will not let you out due to safety concerns, valid but kind of sucks. Although my room was very big there were a couple issues. The tub itself was dirty, which is very weird, maybe they missed it when cleaning. One of the light switches was completely missing, which is why i had to deduct stars. I have never seen a light switch completely missing and only had a button with writing on it.
- 4/5
Room was nice and staff friendly. Hallways were chilly. Check in was easy by completing on line. Would have liked to have coffee and tea provided in room and pillows need replacing very flat. We are come to NY this time of year to celebrate birthday and other hotels we have stay have acknowledged and this was 1st there was no acknowledgment although I had informed hotel prior to arrival. The bar and restaurant had stunning views!! Overall, it was a pleasant stay.
- 5/5
We recently stayed at Ink48 in New York and had a great experience. The location was convenient for getting around the city and exploring nearby sights. My family and I felt welcomed from the moment we arrived. Everyone who worked there was friendly and helpful, and they really made the stay feel easy and relaxed. The rooms were clean, comfortable and well kept, and the service throughout our visit was consistently excellent. Overall, I’d happily stay here again and would recommend it to anyone visiting the city
- 3/5
Check in is as 3 but our room wasn’t ready, after traveling more than 6 hours to get there. Rooms A little more dated.
- 5/5
Amazing
- 5/5
Excellent and friendly staff. Comfortable, clean and spacious room. Close to coffee shops and restaurants.
- 4/5
Mini fridge.
- 5/5
Incredible stay with wonderful staff! Very helpful, kind and hospitable. The rooms are spacious and clean in great proximity to main tourist areas.
- 4/5
Staff really kind

- 5/5
Loved everything about the stay and room except for the small shower. With that huge bathroom, there is plenty of space to make the shower bigger
- 4/5
Friendly staff, clean rooms, good stay overall.
- 3/5
The room had little bugs in the nightstand. We checked in late and was exhausted and reported it to management and they moved us to another room but it was disappointing.
- 5/5
Amazing
- 2/5
Let me begin by clarifying that this rating is based on the hotels lack of professionalism in responding to a concern after they charged me over $80 in mini bar fees when we did not even turn to look at it. Of all places I would’ve never imagined that this hotel would steal from a customer. I emailed them 10 days ago still no response. The staff was amazing but apparently this is how some of them make their extra pocket change. Customers beware. If they had not done this to me I would leave a 10 star review as the bed was comfy and the view was great. There is loud music on weekends though but one can sleep through it. Shame on you Ink 48 for defrauding customers.
- 5/5
Spacious room! Great staff! Beautiful property.
- 5/5
Everything was great, Room, staff and location was great
- 4/5
The fridge doesn't keep things cold.
- 3/5
Window in our room was loose, leaked water, and let in cold air. Our room was handicap accessible and had no ledge in the shower, which led to water leaking into the floor. We asked for a microwave on day 1 and didn’t get it even after 7 days.
- 5/5
location is perfect for the javitz
- 5/5
Love it
- 5/5
Great bathtub in room 405
- 2/5
The room was quite dirty, carpets and chair stained everywhere, tv remote was covered in dead skin, bedside outlets didnt work, no bodywash in the shower.
- 5/5
Overall, our stay was great. A few minor issues such as a running toilet and soaps in shower were out along with a few overhead lights were burnt out. Everything else was wonderful.
- 4/5
Nice view
- 4/5
You can’t beat the view from the top. Able to walk to all the attractions of NYC. Friendly staff. Our room had no view and the windows were very drafty. I would recommend a higher floor so you can see the view.
- 5/5
Love Ink 47 Hotel! From the second I exited the cab, my bag was taken from me and I was escorted into the friendliest staff person who checked me in quickly. The smiles and the positive energy ... and classy lobby area ... equal the joy of the clean and spacious room ... modern, attractive, comfortable. Thank you! I'll be back for sure.
- 4/5
Awesome hotel. Terrible nightclub across the street that goes until 2:00 AM. It is very very loud. If you have a family with you, I would choose elsewhere
- 5/5
The front desk staff was AMAZING. They were very personable and super helpful with suggestions where places were and how to get there.
- 4/5
Love the views
- 5/5
The rooms were big and nice and clean. King bed! And really nice bathroom. The hotel itself is beautiful and the rooftop bar/restaurant is the best! The staff were so friendly and helpful. Maintenance was very quick and effective in fixing a small maintenance issue in our room.
- 5/5
Was a amazing experience staying
- 3/5
amenities is old, don't feel any luxury. Room size is ok, view is just ok
- 3/5
Hotel is nice but the housekeeping are not, no shampoo and conditioner for the 4 nights stay, both dispenser are empty, did not replace the shower towels on 3rd day.
- 4/5
The View was amazing!!!! the service was super and the amenities on point. The Roof Top was spectacular!
- 5/5
Amazing
- 2/5
The staff was kind, but getting service was surprisingly difficult. I later learned that if housekeeping can’t enter the room in the morning because guests are still inside, it gets marked as “service refused.” I was never told I needed to inform the front desk to receive service in the afternoon. Once I finally understood this, I let the front desk know on the fourth day of my stay (after only having my room cleaned once) and even though they assured me it would be taken care of, I returned to find it hadn’t been done. Still, that wasn’t nearly as problematic as the extreme noise at night. There’s a cantina on 48th Street, and if your room faces that side of the building, you simply will not be able to sleep on weekend nights. The volume wasn’t just loud; the bass was so strong that even the room’s noise-cancellation features were useless. The noise would start around 10 p.m. and continue until about 4 a.m. I will mention the front desk staff were able to reimburse me the $45 hotel daily fee due to the inconvenience, however, not being able to sleep can make a stay miserable. I don’t think most people will have major issues with housekeeping, my family just tends to use the room until late morning or early afternoon, but the noise situation was unbearable. Unfortunately, because of that, I won’t be returning.
- 5/5
Great service and amazing staff at the hotel restaurant
- 5/5
Great service in a stylish, boutique hotel. Nice staff that are very accommodating!
- 5/5
This hotel was just right for a stay where we knew we wouldn't be in the room very much. The lobby was beautiful, our room was fresh and clean. There is no coffee maker, microwave or mini-fridge, just a mini-bar. But in NYC, everything you need is right around the corner from the building anyway. Our room at the end of the hallway was nice and quiet. The hotel felt safe and secure, and the staff were all very nice.
- 5/5
Great customer service. The staff were amazing! The rooftop has a gorgeous view!!! This is the hotel where we will stay at from now on!
- 4/5
Staff was polite and efficient.
- 5/5
Great staff
- 2/5
Curtain had stains Lamp shade had stains Shower curtain has stain No microwave in the room No coffee maker in the room The shower water is as standing Maybe hire a deep cleaning company or purchased new equipment after something is stained and not properly washed
- 5/5
The staff was so kind! Highlight of my stay. Omario was so atentive and helpful. My husband and I would stay here again.
- 3/5
Very noisy from outside. Loud music, loud vehicles, traffic.
- 5/5
Great room, clean, with friendly staff, and great location on the west side!
- 5/5
The Staff (doorman) was very nice. I was headed to Pier 88 so it was very close and just one block away. I had an excellent stay!
- 4/5
Was an amazing stay only complaint is the shower water took a few min to heat up. Otherwise everything else was wonderful.
- 4/5
We liked the hotel, but the ground floor restaurant has very limited menu items, and our sixth floor room was astonishingly noisy on the first night, as if there was a disco in the hallway directly outside. This noise continued until 2am, then stopped: seemingly, it was a party on the 16th floor in their skyline lounge and the noise was conducted down to our room through the giant pipes that seem to be functioning as support columns for the sixth floor. So, ten floors away from the action and yet it was still loud enough to feel as if we were right in the dance floor. The issue being… we actually had hoped to get a bit more sleep.
- 4/5
Spacious and clean room, friendly staff, and a good price considering location. Air con unit was quite loud when I'm use, and the WiFi was pretty weak—hence 4 stars.
- 5/5
Great
- 5/5
My/our 4th or 5th time here and from staff to room it always feels welcoming.
- 5/5
Front desk staff were extremely friendly. Very welcoming. Room was clean and quiet. Great Beds.
- 5/5
Great place, clean and staff was very friendly. A little walk to Times Square but it was worth it!
- 4/5
Staff is great!
- 4/5
Bad thing about hotel is the rooms facing north have the loud bar music every night
- 4/5
Staff was friendly. We ate at the restaurant down stairs, nice place but no choices $24 for a burger with no fries. We asked for a quiet room which was fine until about 3-4 am when the club let out and it got loud. On the good side, bed was comfy location was fine at a fair price.
- 2/5
Left, and then continues to serve the new person to my right completely ignoring me. Highly likely they forgot. Felt more of a on purpose thing. Wouldn’t stay again simply off that. Additional issue was house cleaning knocking at 9:45 am asking me if I’m leaving soon.
- 3/5
The room was OK, but I was charged a deposit prior to check in
- 5/5
Clean my
- 5/5
Staff were excellent. The room was comfortable and clean. Great facilities, restaurant and roof top lounge.
- 4/5
The curtains at my room were faulty, one of the days it got broken.
- 5/5
Great
- 5/5
Cleam toom friendly and informative staff
- 4/5
Yes
- 4/5
The desk staff were very courteous and helpful. The Junior Suite room was clean and comfortable, however, the layout was very unusual, e.g. the light switch for the vanity was located on a back wall near the shower door, and the large soaking tub extended into the sleeping area. It was on a higher floor, so relatively quiet for mid-town Manhattan. The best feature was it’s location near the cruise terminus…only a 5-10 minute walk!
- 4/5
Great hotel, great staff but wow the roof top bar next to the hotel, very loud music till 4am in the morning not good when you have a full day ahead.
- 5/5
Check in was smooth. Super professional and friendly. Room was excellent. Comfortable with a great view of the skyline. Had a nightcap at the roof top bar. Excellent cocktails and extraordinary views. Interestingly we had to make a reservation for the bar and when we arrived we asked to sit at the bar, but were told people had reservations for those bar stools. Lil weird And when we left those same stools were empty. All good tho.
- 2/5
I changed my room three times and they all have the same stained tiles. The hotel waived my first night’s resort fee to compensate us for the inconvenience. It’s not worth spending almost $500 a night to stay in this hotel.
- 5/5
Enjoyed the balcony and view. Room was great
- 5/5
Great hotel where we were really looked after by the staff. We had an initial issue with our room which they tried to resolve with maintenance but when that didn't work we were moved rooms. Everyone was so helpful in making our stay perfect. Loved the room and shower, we were in a suite and it felt spacious with a great view of the Hudson River
- 4/5
staff was friendly and helpful. easy check in and out. beautiful view when you go to the 16th floor bar(which is not owned by the hotel) would be nice to have coffee maker in each room or in the lobby/ water dispenser
- 5/5
Such a beautiful room!! It’s in a really nice area, and very friendly staff!
- 3/5
However, our assigned room had several issues. The lamps on the table flickered, the bathroom was missing a glass cover, and we could hear conversations from the rooms next door and above. The stained carpet at the entrance was the most noticeable flaw. On the positive side, the staff were incredibly friendly and attentive, and the check-in and check-out processes were thorough and easy. We were unable to access the rooftop due to a private event during our stay.
- 3/5
The hotel is not bad but if you need to get sleep, don’t stay here or at least not on the side of hotel directly across from the club, HK Hall/Rooftop Cantina. You won’t sleep at all. Luckily my daughter is 19 and was able to run the marathon on pure adrenaline (zero sleep).
- 4/5
The hotel cleaning staff kept knocking after I told them they don’t have to clean my room. I went as a way to relax on this trip and it was pouring so it was very distasteful to get bothered constantly on when I’m leaving when I told them they don’t have to clean. When I finally told them to come around 2 pm she got visibly annoyed. Very rude service from the cleaning staff. Hotel lobby staff was great though.
- 4/5
Nice hotel
- 5/5
Clean room and friendly, helpful staff.
- 5/5
The staff was so friendly! The doormen, front desk and house keeping were all so kind.
- 5/5
Friendly staff good concierge and comfortable clean rooms
- 5/5
Room was great and people were always helpful and courteous.
- 4/5
Friendly staff, large room, nice view
- 5/5
Excellent staff. Room furnishings need refreshed/cleaned big time. Nice sized room and bathroom in the 1 bedroom suite.
- 5/5
The Junior Suite was beautiful and the location of this hotel was absolutely PERFECT for an easy walk to the Javitt's Center for NYC Comic Con. Also, close to many great restaurants. Very nice stay!
- 1/5
Don't stay here, horrible customer service
- 3/5
While the Ink 48 is a beautiful property, it has lost its touch with quality & customer service since Kimpton removed it from its brand. I booked a junior suite through Expedia which set me back more than $1400 only to receive just ok customer service with the exception of Dev at the front desk. The first time I stayed at Ink 48 under Kimpton, the service was pristine. During this stay, I had an unsettled stomach, I thought I could make tea with the coffeemakers that used to be in the room, but they’re no longer there. When you call the front desk, the phone just rings and rings. I had to let the phone ring 10-15 times before someone to pick up. The hotel is disjointed because it no longer owns the restaurant or roof bar, which is still awesome and the best part of the hotel. I tried to call the restaurant to order breakfast and the phone just rang and rang. I had to physically go down and order breakfast. On the night I got sick, my son called the front desk to see if he could get ginger ale from the restaurant or something. The front desk advised him to do uber eats. The final insult was when I checked out I found out that I was only getting $100 of my deposit back for incidentals due to $137 worth of resort fees. My stay did not live up to the money I paid which is disappointing because I always spoke highly of this hotel to others. I’m sad to say this hotel is a scaled back version of the hotel I fell in love with in 2018.
- 5/5
Modern hotel with large rooms compared to many others in the same area. Price was reasonable and staff was excellent.
- 5/5
Fantastic place to stay! Best in NYC
- 5/5
Great hotel
- 5/5
Staff were all pleasant, helpful and excellent
- 5/5
The hotel was great, the staff very friendly. The location was very convenient. The food in the hotel restaurant although not part of the hotel, was excellent!
- 4/5
Amazing staff! And great room! Loved them! Will definitely recommend. Restaurants food just not that tasty and there is a no return policy if you don’t like it, so beware.
- 4/5
Staff was excellent. Room was clean.
- 5/5
Room had great views! Clean an friendly staff!
- 4/5
The hotel was very nice. The staff super friendly. Check in was easy and quick. Two things happened that could be a problem for future guests, so here’s a warning. The room we stayed in was directly above the Sky Bar. We heard music and people laughing and talking til very late and got little sleep. Our TV remote was not working, upon calling the front desk twice nobody ever showed up to fix it.
- 5/5
The room was perfect. The bed very comfortable, pillows fluffy, the tub was great to soak after walking all day and the shower was nice in the morning. The staff were friendly and everything was spotless. I highly recommend!
- 5/5
Very nice hotel that is close to port.
- 5/5
Classic
- 4/5
Very comfortable stay, beautiful room, nice staff. $40+ resort fee with no real additional amenities that I saw that going towards
- 4/5
The staff were incredible and upon arrival, we thought our room was massive and lovely. Once we actually got into the room, we realized what a good clean it needed. The shower head was so full of mould, areas in the room hadn't been dusted in ages, and the chairs at the dining table were disgusting with water stains and dirt. We were really annoyed to not able to get to the roof top bar with our daughter, exceptions should be made for guests. We also found it inconvenient to not have room service delivery or options for kids on the downstairs restaurant menu. It's a very convenient location, loved Hell's Kitchen area. Once again, the staff were incredible.
- 5/5
The staff was efficient, helpful, friendly and informative. I will definitely be staying her for future trips to the city.
- 5/5
Will recommend and come bk
- 5/5
It was a great hotel. Close to Norwegian cruise port
- 5/5
Great place and location.
- 4/5
Room was nice and spacious.
- 5/5
Great use of old building. Interesting history. Staff was great. Comfortable.
- 5/5
Omar was kind and the hotel was clean and convenient to walk to the cruise port
- 5/5
Dinner was a 10 out of 10
- 5/5
Eric at the front desk was friendly, helpful and professional. Perfect hotel for pre/post NCL cruise. Just one block to crosswalk to ship.
- 5/5
Close to cruise ship port
- 4/5
My only suggestion is to invest in better mattresses, I felt and heard the springs which made it uncomfortable to sleep on.
- 3/5
This hotel used to be more affordable when booking early but I have lost all faith. I probably won’t book here through Expedia ever again. Overall the hotel is nice and their staff if very nice! We usually get the same room and it’s never really updated so I can’t give them 5 stars for cleanliness but the overall hotel is beautiful and once again their staff is great
- 5/5
We booked the Hudson suite for a family trip, and the room is very spacious. Good location, not too much noise, will stay again.
- 5/5
It wasn’t a bad hotel at all, just a bit of a walk to anything.
- 5/5
Only one shower/bathroom hook in a very large junior suite, 2 sink bathroom. Otherwise, great stay, great atmosphere
- 5/5
Great staff, close to cruise ship terminal, a few blocks from subway lines to go anywhere.
- 5/5
the city view from the room was great, the rooms seemed sound proof and the area was overall quiet! nice walking distance to a lot of fun things
- 5/5
The staff was one of the most friendly I have encountered in my various stays in New York. From the doorman who helped us get our bags from the Uber to the team at the desk during checkout, we were greeted with smiles and friendliness. The restaurant inside the lobby was amazing, and the food fantastic also. Location is fantastic if you are heading out on a cruise.
- 4/5
Couple of annoying things, no shower gel/ shampoo. Mini bar prices (considering the cost of the room) bit OTT $9 for a bottle of water! Come on guys!
- 1/5
This hotel was one of the worst places I’ve ever stayed at front the man at the front desk that checked us that was rude. the bath tub that had orange water coming out and would never fill up, the paint falling in my eyes and hair in the shower. The bed was hard as a rock. The blatant female street walkers out front and up and down the street. Don’t go out at night alone. Not safe at all. Lots of drug dealers out. Don’t reserve the Hudson suite. Total ripoff. Room falling apart and no view. Would not recommend this hotel. Only plus is it’s close to the cruise port not worth almost 700 I spent.
- 2/5
Very unhelpful and unprofessional staff. Property is old and not well maintained. Location is terrible - no public transportation anywhere close.
- 4/5
Everything was great down to the service & the front desk making me and my partner comfortable. Only problem was the stand up shower. The ceiling was peeling and the hand held shower was broken.
- 4/5
This property was fantastic. My only concern is that expedia says check out is 12, and we decided to go for an early breakfast and came back to the room around 10am. Our bags were still there but the bed had already been stripped of its bedding. Around 11, we were about to leave to just head out early, and the room cleaners were knocking to get in.
- 5/5
Excellent friendly and speedy check-in
- 4/5
Staff was great. Carpet in the room was disgusting.
- 4/5
BIG ROOMS!!! Junior Suite Great location if you are going on a cruise out of Manhattan
- 5/5
This was one of the most amazing hotels! The views the access to everything the restaurant the views was everything!
- 5/5
Staff was great, assured with getting us and our luggage to the cruise ship !
- 5/5
Nice room.
- 4/5
No view
- 5/5
The door man was fantastic! So helpful & knowledgeable!
- 5/5
Great hotel and amazing staff!
- 5/5
Clean room with a view. Staff excellent from housekeeping to hotel restaurant. Drinks good too. Booked hotel easy walking distance to Manhattan Terminal. Will stay again price of hotel reasonable.
- 5/5
Great location. Very clean. Wonderful staff
- 1/5
We initially had a good stay but unfortunately my husbands backpack was given to the wrong person. I understand mistakes happen but this shouldn’t have since our luggage was labeled. I appreciate the managers and front desk associates taking the time to fix the issue but this should have never ever happened. Two hours later he got it but it really ruined our stay in NYC.
- 5/5
Only spent 5 hrs. Nice room but freezing. Kept my coat on and slept on top. It seemed to have all the modern room amenities.
- 5/5
Helpfull staff
- 5/5
Great
- 5/5
Staff was amazing but our shower was broken
- 5/5
Beautiful
- 5/5
The hotel is in a great location for the cruise ship terminal.
- 5/5
Rooftop Bar has gorgeous view
- 3/5
The hotel was OK. Certainly not a resort, which they charge a fee I believe. Just a basic hotel.
- 5/5
Very chilled vibe. The roof top bar is a must ..stunning views service was amazing and beautiful surrounding
- 5/5
Great unique and beautiful hotel.
- 2/5
Honestly, staff very kind and helpful- but hotel is awful. Rooms dirty and spare. Black-out drapes broken, noisy (no sound proofing), no amenities (like free bottle water or coffee machine), breakfast in restaurant is poor, bathroom amenities poor (had to ask for bath mat). TV on a side wall, doesn’t face couch or bed. Location convenient to Javits Center, but nothing else in the neighborhood.
- 4/5
Comfortable, close to the Hudson River trail. The A/C unit in the room was quite noisy. The only issue was the sound from the street is really loud. The worst night was when the restaurant across the street had some type of event, with a DJ and loud crowds in the street, lots of traffic and hollering and general chaos. That went on until almost midnight. I know the hotel can’t control that but better windows would help.
- 2/5
This is my second time staying at this hotel, due to its proximity to the Skift global travel forum. The rooms are decent, but room is facing to the north get a lot of noise from the adjacent nightclub. However, the biggest problem in my opinion is the hospitality, or the lack of it. Front Desk staff absolutely rude, don’t even greet you by saying good morning or have a good day, treating you as if you’re a nuisance. They have entitlement issues because their union workers, and know that they cannot get fired. Take care more about chitchatting amongst themselves, as opposed to assisting guests. Not acceptable at any price point, let alone $800 per night. I’d rather stay elsewhere next time.
- 4/5
The street is very noisy. The rooftop bar across the street is very noisy at night
- 5/5
Great location. Very nice rooms.
- 5/5
Staff was excellent!
- 5/5
Shower head had not been screwed in tightly and sprayed all over bathroom. Notified management at checkout and they were going to fix and appreciated knowing about it.
- 4/5
Good service clean
- 5/5
It was easy to get to port for our cruise.
- 5/5
The hotel is very nice. Room was spacious and well appointed. It's a bit off the beaten path but all in all a good experience.
- 5/5
We absolutely loved the location and scenery.
- 4/5
This hotel is on 11th avenue which is very close to the Hudson River and near the Intrepid and where the cruise ships leave. The view from the rooftop is beautiful and the hotel itself is very nice, but it's a little bit off the way and public transportation access is light so you're going to need to take cabs which can get pricey. It's not really the hotel's fault it's just the way New York City is built. However, it's a very nice place to stay
- 5/5
Excellent
- 5/5
Large room, large bathroom, clean and quiet. 1 short block from Pier 88 Norwegian Cruise Terminal
- 3/5
No one opening door when travelling with luggage, no concierge service. Otherwise okay.
- 5/5
Con’s: Fabric headboard of bed dirty, carpets stained and could hear room next doors conversation through the wall.
- 5/5
Perfect jumping off point for the cruise terminal. An easy walk.
- 3/5
Hotel was nice enough, but unfortunately encountered a number of issues including a toilet that couldn’t be fixed. The lunch menu is limited, which isn’t an issue, but I was overcharged. Then I got grief from the doorman who ordered me a taxi I never asked for. Definitely expect better service for the price.
- 4/5
Good service and hotel near the port and Times square. Recommended
- 5/5
Room - staff - restaurant just amazing Can’t wait to go back It’s a great location block away from the port. Perfect to a nice overnight before a cruise.
- 4/5
Great location for access to cruise port. Friendly and helpful staff! Comfortable bed. The room however was in dire need of updating and cleaning. The sofa and carpet were stained, the makeup mirror glass was broken at the edge, all the furniture was heavily dinged, the wooden garbage cans needed wiping down. The retro decor would be lovely if it weren’t so old and damaged. Definitely not what we thought we were paying for. I’d stay again, but would hope for a better room.
- 5/5
Very nice staff
- 5/5
Very nice room with large windows overlooking the street below. Hotel was clean, well presented and has a lovely rooftop bar to enjoy a drink while taking in the views over the city and the Hudson. Staff are very helpful and polite. I would definitely stay here again.
- 4/5
Lovely clean and spacious room! Had everything we needed. Staff were helpful with recommendations. Couldn't hear any noise from inside the hotel from others staying, however, there was very loud music our first night playing until 2.30am from a night club across the road. If your at the front of the hotel you will have a lot of street noises throughout the night which is expected.

The staffs are very friendly and made me feel welcome

My favorite place to stay in NYC. Excellent access to Midtown, Theater District, and the Hudson River Parkway Path. Nice rooms, comfy beds, quiet, excellent staff.

Very nice staff and easy to walk to the cruise port too!!

Adjacent restaurant/bar playing extremely loud music Friday and Saturday night and could not get to sleep. No AC in bedroom. Telephone in room to call for service did not work. The room had a foul odor. Staff didn’t seem to care about issues. A rip-off at $500/night

We had a wonderful 4 days at the ink48, with a breathtakubg view on the Hudson. Its comvenuently located at a few minutes walk from the riverside, and a couple blocks from the Javits center :)

The staff is so amazing, super friendly and accommodating. They are very knowledgeable and helpful when looking for things to do in the area. We walked to time square multiple times, easy and convenient. The rooms are simple and clean. The breakfast was delicious. There is a rooftop bar, if this is for you make a reservation. I highly recommend this hotel!

Check in with Omar was wonderful. After a long morning of traveling he was able to get us into a room right away. Room was clean and plenty of room. Our air did go out our last night but engineering came right up and had it running in 10 min. The rooftop is one of the best in the city! Views, food and drinks are incredible. Staff was always helpful! Will definitely be back!!

Thee hotel is so nice and good location; The room is right and big!

In my room alone, 2/3 of the major blackout blinds were completely broken. The soap tray in the bathroom was broken and lose. The toilet seat was only attached on one side. The sink didn't drain unless you waited several minutes. And my closet had an ironing board but no iron; evidently they have to move irons from other unoccupied rooms rather than purchasing one for each room. When I relayed this to the staff as I checked out, there was simply a brief apology. I don't know if they're just used to it at this point or what. The elevator button lights often don't work. FYI: you must hold your card over the reader in the elevator for several seconds before it's read, which no one mentioned or alerted me to. It ultimately was a cleaning guy who showed me how it was done because I was stuck in the elevator. Beyond that, you may want to know that being at the hotel does not guarantee access to the rooftop bar. When I tried to go, I was asked if I had a reservation (I didn't) and was turned away. Again, not something the front desk (or anyone) alerts you to. To cap it off, some reviews mention how quiet the hotel is (which is why I was willing to be so far away from the subway), but it's the same sound level as any other hotel in NYC. 11th Ave is very loud. Definitely bring a white noise machine if you've got one. Rough stay. Nice staff. I won't be returning to Ink48

Check-in was a breeze and the front desk staff were very friendly and welcoming. The hotel is in a great location and I appreciated how quiet it was at night, making it easy to get a good night’s sleep. However, the room could have been cleaner and the bathroom needed some attention especially regarding the dirty tub and shower, there are also a few maintenance issues like shower knobs that fall off and spills on the carpet. Couldn't charge our phones without our adapters falling out of the walls and night stands. Compared to other hotels in the area, this stay didn’t quite meet our expectations, but the staff and peaceful setting were definite highlights.

The property is close to the cruise ships. Rooftop restaurant has a nice view. Staff was very nice
- 5/5
Excellent bar and restaurant, with the lobby bar open for breakfast and lunch and the rooftop open for dinner. Reservation needed for rooftop, but phenomenal views of the city!

Property Staff was great. Very helpful. The view from the Room was amazing. Room itself was very clean spacious and comfortable. All the elevators worked. Not a long wait time to check in or out. They also held our luggage and scheduled transportation to the airport.

Easy check out

Love love this hotel! This property is very underrated, I’m not sure why I haven’t heard of this place before Expedia. The room exceeded my expectations. I was in awe. I come to New York a couple of times of year and never have I found the “one” that I can keep coming back to, this is definitely going to be #1 on my list.

Very nice and accommodating staff was very pleasent

I use this as hotel before I took a cruise. It was an easy walk to Times Square and to all the theaters in the theater district. I felt very comfortably walking from the theater district back to the hotel at night after a play. Room was extremely large with a huge bathtub in the room and an amazing walk in shower

Friendly staff!

No coffee in room, went down to get coffee they didn't have service in lobby and restaurant not open til 7. House keeping had just left so had to wait for a coffee maker to be delivered. We stayed in a Hudson suite which had NO view and NO coffee. Great location for boarding cruise!

great

A very nice hotel - we had the Suite overlooking the Hudson River. probably about a 20mins walk to Times Sq but not a great deal immmediately around the hotel so in one of the quieter areas of Manhattan.

Great place great staff affordable price. Definitely top definitely hits all the marks if you’re looking for a spacious clean affordable prime location this is it

You included pictures of the rooftop restaurant in your listing, which influenced my decision to book this hotel for its view. However, you did not mention that access to the rooftop requires a reservation and an additional charge of $50 per person. This information should have been clearly stated, as it feels misleading to promote the rooftop view when guests cannot freely access it to take pictures.

Great hotel. Will def come back

Great stay overall!

Incredible view of the city!!! Beautiful and clean hotel. A/C in the room was uneven. Most of the staff was very nice.

The location of the hotel was about a 10 minute walk from Time Square. There were plenty of restaurants within a 5-10 minute walk which made it very convenient. The hotel gets really busy with guests going to the rooftop bar which as a guest, we still were required to make reservations for. The staff was nice, shout out to Jonathan, he was very welcoming and took care of us upon arrival. The water from the shower leaked out to the bathroom floor, the sheets were clean but you can tell past stains that have been washed, just buy new sheets. Night time was pretty noisy, there is a bar with a rooftop across the street that played music really loud.

We enjoyed our stay at Ink 48. The staff at check in was very pleasant and suggested we make a reservation at Hudson Vue which we did. We had a lovely time with a drink and view of the city lights. The scent running through the hotel was so amazing that I ordered a diffuser for my home. It was a perfect location for walking to pier 90 for our Oceania Cruise

This hotel is beautiful and the staff is great. If you are staying here it’s close to time square and literally right next to the cruise terminal which is amazing. The new roof top restaurant is a must do at night to watch the city skyline

The hotel is conveniently located. Staffs are polite and nice. I would definitely recommend this hotel.

Great location safe, great staff rooms are nice but not perfect

It’s a great place to stay in NYC just a block off the Hudson River. Really like the stylish and spacious rooms. Appliances in the rooms not quiet up to task; missed a good coffee machine but Sullivans Bakery is just a half block away!
- 4/5
This stay was great and was a walkable and easily accessible for all the things that we needed. The only downside was that the fridge in the room didn't really seem to work but that's a very small thing that didn't matter that much at the end of the day. If you're looking to stay somewhere that is close enough to basically all major subways (obviously you have to walk to them they aren't right outside the hotel lobby doors) and also easier to grab cabs, book here.

An oasis, a 20 minute walk to Time Square. We had a beautiful spacious room facing the river. The staff was wonderful. It’s close to all the NYC attractions but is in a quieter area of Hell’s Kitchen. I’ve stayed close to Time Square in different hotels many times. Our room was twice the size of other hotels and was beautiful. I highly recommend Ink 48.

We were not given the room we booked and paid for. We paid and booked 2 queen beds and got a king and a very uncomfortable sofa bed. They oversold and gave us a different room. They lied and said the sofa bed would be comfortable. It was NOT!

Amazing staff and close to a lot tourist attractions

Clogged sink, no shower gel, called for shower gel nobody came. Customer service needs improvement

Excellent services

The room was spacious and comfortable by NYC standards, but had several issues: the phone didn’t work, bath products were missing, and the vanity mirror was broken. At checkout, I reported these to Chivez, who was dismissive and sarcastic, even asking, “Well, did you at least take a shower?” He took no notes and didn’t seem to care. I later called the hotel to speak with a manager. The person who answered was evasive and wouldn’t connect me. Minutes later, Chivez called me back instead, though he was the reason I wanted to speak with management. He claimed the manager, Greg, would call me—he never did. While Omar was the one positive part of our stay, overall service was poor, and the staff lacked professionalism and accountability. We won’t be staying at Ink 48 again.
- 3/5
Staff was very friendly, may be helpful to have another staff member at the front desk (they’re working very hard but having another staffer there may help with the long wait times for check in). The pullout bed in the room had not been changed, the sheets had stains on them and were just rolled up in a ball from the last use or uses. Shower had several empty shampoo, conditioner and body wash bottles.
