The hotel's location is consistently praised, being close to major attractions such as Times Square and Broadway. However, the room size is a common complaint, with many guests finding them too small. The cleanliness and comfort of the beds are generally well-received, but issues with amenities and maintenance are frequently mentioned.

I have no complaints! It was better than I expected. Small room but perfect for a solo traveler. It was clean and quiet which was surprising given location. Excellent location and staff was always super helpful and friendly. I arrived super early to the city so had about 7-8 hrs before check in but they graciously held my luggage while I explored. They also provided drink vouchers for the pub located by the lobby which was awesome !! Good experience and would book again.

Room booked was "deluxe" queen. It was more like a poor version of a single room. Can't say it was infested with bed bugs but it was certainly infested with some type of biting insect. Air conditioning wasnt working properly and once you added 2 adults body heat room temp hit 80 degrees during the night. Single outlet in room so charging phones, pluging in a c pap and hearing aids became a disaster. Smoke detector started screaming at 5am.. maintenance came up removed it instead of replacing battery..fire code violation.. Bed was collapsed in the middle. When use the toilet sink was digging into your shoulder and ribs Wouldn't recommend to anyone. And will be fighting for compensation

No cleaning service the entire time I was there, and the supposed two free bottles of water per day were not delivered. The bed took up virtually the entire room, which isn’t that unusual in NYC, but it means the A/C vent blows right onto the bed and makes for an uncomfortable sleep. Bed and pillows were ok, bathroom amenities were basic but fine. It was quieter than I expected, being located in the middle of lots of major sites/theaters/restaurants.

This hotel had a great time square location, and staff was helpful and friendly enough. Hotel room could have used a full length mirror and better lighting. Being that every hotel around was hundreds of dollars more, this room was perfect for me.

I had an excellent stay at Hotel Shocard Broadway during my recent trip to New York City. The location simply could not be better—right in the heart of Times Square and within walking distance of Broadway theaters, restaurants, shops, and several subway lines. It made exploring the city incredibly easy and convenient. The hotel has a unique boutique atmosphere that stands out from the larger chain hotels in the area. The design is stylish, welcoming, and full of character. My room was clean, comfortable, and thoughtfully designed, with a very comfortable bed that made it easy to relax after long days of sightseeing and walking around Manhattan. One of the highlights of my stay was the staff. Everyone I encountered was friendly, professional, and genuinely helpful. They were always willing to answer questions, offer recommendations, and ensure that guests had a pleasant experience. Their hospitality made me feel welcome from the moment I arrived until the day I checked out. Despite being located in such a busy part of the city, I found the hotel to be a great place to unwind. The overall atmosphere was comfortable and inviting, and the property was well maintained throughout my stay. The hotel's location, combined with its excellent service and charming boutique feel, made it the perfect base for my New York adventure. I would highly recommend Hotel Shocard Broadway to anyone visiting New York City, whether for business, sightseeing, or a Broadway getaway. It offers outstanding value, an unbeatable location, and a memorable guest experience. I would absolutely stay here again on my next visit to NYC. One negative aspect of my stay was that my flight was delayed, causing me to arrive later than expected. Despite having a confirmed reservation, the hotel canceled my booking because I was unable to check in on the original date. Upon arrival, I was required to pay an additional fee to reinstate the reservation. While I understand that policies are in place, I was disappointed by the lack of flexibility given that the delay was beyond my control.

It was nice, small but did what it needed to do for a one night stay! Hot water, clean, good air conditioning. Check in was nice and easy, the lady at the desk was very nice. Let you keep your bags there which was nice. Bed was amazing. The curtain was stained and the room decor is a little dated but everything else was great. Drink vouchers as well was very nice! And parking is not far at all.

The good stuff was the water pressure & shower were very good. Had no issue with hot water, and whatever shampoo you use was great. The location was decent to Times Square ( 2 blocks) And there was at least 6-8 plugs in the room which was awesome to have. Loved the full length mirror. The staff was adequate. I was charged a fee of $27 because I used Expedia which is ridiculous, & when I signed in it took ten minutes because for some reason this hotel needed me to fill out paper work saying I wouldn't allow more than the 2 people I had with me in the room. It was a long process to sign in for one night. Skip this hotel. Even the few dollars you saved aren't worth the dirtyness

Location, location, location! Right across the street from the subway. It’s not a luxury hotel but it was clean and fit the bill! Sandwich between two other buildings, so no very good view outside the windows. I received a text every day, asking me if there was anything I needed. I told them twice I needed water and never got a response or the water. No ice machine and no daily cleaning service.

Great hotel right next to Times Square. Bed was so comfortable we wanted to sleep all day. Our room was on the 2nd floor right above the bar but there was no noise from the bar or outside. We also appreciated that it was within walking distance to Penn Station, the Port Authority bus terminal and many subway stops, making it easy to get around. You can’t beat this, especially for the price. Will definitely stay here again.

I opened the door and it hit the shower door, I turned right and banged my shin on the bed. But it was extremely clean, right next to the elevator, and it served our purposes for our one day excursion to New York City. Really, when you think about it, how much time do you spend in a hotel room when you’re visiting the biggest city in America? All in all, the place was clean, the staff was friendly, and we both slept well. But work on that shower, please, the water temperature was 785° Will stay again.

The water was scalding hot AND ALMOST non-existent for a shower. We had NO WAY TO SHOWER DURING OUR VISIT. For us, a short stay does not mean we won't be showering and the inability to do so is UNREAL. Yes, and "engineer " was sent who was very young and talked to us through his phone since he was non English speaking, left a part in the room, and took over an hour to physically return and physically blow out the shower head which did nothing. All of which we told the manager and MISSED OUR SCHEDULED appointment because of this. TOTALLY UNACCEPTABLE.

Alfonso was courteous, knowledge and a very well communicated. The hotel was nice just needed some updates and amenities. There were extra pillows and blankets in the linen closet. Room was excellent. Had two TVs. Irish pub was warm and nice place with live music and numerous TVs so you can watch the game. Food was really good. Fiance got the burger and raved about it. The next morning I talked to the bartender about the discount and he couldn't give me my money back but he gave me a free coffee, which I was supposed to have and my fiance a drinky drink. Never had any problems with noise, smells, or nasty people. Everything smelt wonderful in our room and the doors really blocked out the noise outside. Unfortunately there was no free breakfast or coffee in the room. The hot water took at least 5 real minutes to warm up. The lights never came on outside on our terrace (we had the penthouse) The room waslacking decorations and was definitely feeling old looking. Two TVs two remotes that worked both TVs at the same time. The elevator had trouble coming to our floor when we pushed the button. Had to push it numerous times. There was no view. I reserved a room with a balcony. The Irish pub was really pricey and they forgot to give us our free drink and discount on our meal. Bathroom door was tough to work (open and close) There was no cups or plastic protection for the ice bucket. Most of the switches in the room did not work. No note pad and pen.

We stayed at the Shocard for 4 nights while enjoying NYC. The location is incredible with it being so close to Times Square, Hell’s Kitchen, Bryant Park and the subway within a 3 min walk. Yes, the rooms are smaller in size, but clean, comfortable and who spends their time in their room anyway when in NYC when there’s so much to do! They also have an area to put your clothes away and the bed was comfortable! There’s a great pub downstairs that’s part of the hotel called Garvey’s. The staff at the hotel check in and in the pub are super friendly and nice. Our expectations were exceeded considering some of the reviews we had read. Our room was so quiet, we didn’t hear the sounds from outside or downstairs at night. The A/C kept the room nice and comfortable during the 35 degree weather we were experiencing. We would definitely stay here again and wouldn’t hesitate.

AC (in the window) unit was old and hard to regulate, ended up turning it off and unplugged but I could hear the sound from the unit in the next door room running. No drinking cups/glasses in the room just an ice bin but never saw an ice machine. The best thing about this hotel is the convenient location, close to Times Square and a lot of theatres. The room was clean and A/C worked fine. For the first 24 hours my room key was not working, was an issue with the whole building. The custodian for the building was very nice, he had to let me in my room multiple times since the keys weren't working. When I checked in, the woman at the desk was complaining to a colleague about customers asking about their keys not working and said she was "not in the mood." Aside from that, my experience with the staff was okay. My room was facing the street and the cars outside were very loud all night, it made it hard to sleep.

The location was great. The room was very small. You could not walk on either side of the bed. The window was "blacked out" so there was no natural light in the room whatsoever. The water was scalding hot, the bed was very uncomfortable, and everything was just old. We arrived prior to check in time and were told that we had to pay $57 in cash for early check-in (which I foolishly did as we were tired from travelling.) We stepped out for a bit on the 2nd day and when we returned, our key would not work. We went to the front desk to tell the front desk agent, and she started texting someone and then said it would be a few minutes. She finally took the key and tapped it under the desk and said that it should work now, That just seemed super sketchy to me after the vibe of everything leading up to it. We checked out right after that and found accommodations elsewhere.

Really good location between the Port Authority and other subway stations. It’s a short walk from the Newark AirPort Express bus stop. For NYC the price matched my expectations in general. Cleanliness needs improvement - the extra blanket on top of the closet smelled and looked untouched for ages. I needed it because the AC was broken, not a single dial worked on the machine or remote. The shower partition was too narrow to block water effectively, so I had to be careful not to flood the floor. The water ran too hot so the steam was a lot, and when I left the bathroom door ajar it caused the fire alarm to ring.

The check-in process was super quick and easy and they held our bags for us both before and after our stay. They also give you a free voucher for a drink at the bar downstairs which was nice. Comfortable bed and pillows as well. Overall was a nice stay. Other reviews complained about the room being small, but I found it to be alright for two people, especially when you are visiting to explore the city and not spending your day in the room. The 1 bedroom unit didn't have a shower door so water gets all over the floor, but not a huge deal if you put a towel down. There was also a cockroach in our room which I know is hard to prevent in NYC but still kind of gross and freaked me out.

The location was great, within walking distance from everything we wanted to do. The staff was incredibly nice and helpful. When we got there we were told the machine to make the keys was down so we couldn't get keys to our room. We were told we'd have them within an hour, we waited and did not get them. Stopped and asked on our way out because we had stuff planned and they still did not have them made. The room was incredibly small, the only way to get from one side to the other was to crawl across the bed if we were both in the room. We reserved a king room and though the platform the mattress was on was definitely a king the mattress was only a queen and we kept hitting the edge of the platform since it stuck out several inches past the mattress.

Stayed at Hotel Shocard Broadway, Times Square for one night. Very atmospheric hotel right in the heart of Manhattan — just a few minutes from Times Square and the theater district. If you want to truly feel New York, the location is almost perfect. I really liked the style of the hotel. It has the feeling of old Broadway and real New York character rather than a generic chain hotel. The room was compact, which is expected in Midtown Manhattan, and the staff was polite and welcoming. The main impression was the feeling that you are actually living inside the city, not just staying overnight. In the evening, the lights, music, Broadway theaters, and crowds from all over the world create an unforgettable New York atmosphere. One small downside: even with a higher Booking.com level, our windows faced the roof rather than the city view. But overall, it was still a very memorable stay. A great option for a short trip, Broadway shows, walking around Manhattan, and experiencing Times Square.Отель находится в удобном месте площади

The location is wonderful! 2 second walk and you’re at Times Square. The rooms are towards the center of the building, so they are extremely quiet. The rooms could use some refurbishment. The carpets had holes and runs through them, the windows had tint over them that were peeled back in the corners, the main light in the bathroom did not work so you had the little light over the shower is all for lighting. Although the room looked clean, it was in very rough shape. The room did have a refrigerator and a nice amenity of two bottles of water. The bed was comfortable. The room overall is very dark so every light always had to be on. Upon check-in, you did get one free drink each day of your stay either a glass of wine, coffee or beer, and that is per room not per person. They will hold your luggage for you at checkout, which is a very nice amenity. The staff was always very friendly and helpful. I would definitely stay here again due to the location and overall comfort of the room.

The only good thing was the location. The shower was freezing and it would be impossible to make it work properly. Even after asking the staff for help they did not make it work. The room was very hot and the thermostat could only be changed with a staff member, which they did not do correctly. It was still very hot so I had to figure it out by myself to make it work.

The microwave does not work. The patio is beautiful and roomy but It would be absolutely amazing if the lights that strung across worked .

Worth noting that what you'll lack in a "city view" you make up for in a quiet sleep ! most of the rooms face the back alley of a vacant alley/building and we totally didn't hear street noise bc of it & the AC. Came for a 1 night stay to have dinner and see "Oh Mary!". the best show ! Room size is small but if you want a big hotel room in NYC, expect to pay big $$$. this is a good value for a smaller room w en-suite bathroom, right in the theatre district

The best thing about this hotel is the location (a couple blocks from Times Square) for the price. The room itself was nice -- I've had better, I've had worse. During my stay I never once heard my neighbors, which was great, and the A/C and heating worked very well. There are, however, some downsides that would make me think twice about staying here again: (1) The hot water was extremely hot -- scaldingly hot -- and the faucets made it difficult to control the water temperature. (2) The bed and pillows were quite a bit softer than I'm used to from other hotels. (3) The WiFi signal on the 6th floor at the end of the hall was so weak as to be unusable. (4) There's only one elevator -- most of the time this wasn't an issue, but during busy times, it was a long wait. (5) Instead of a proper chair, the desk had a backless cylinder seat, which was not comfortable for working. (6) Even when I turned the thermostat off, the vent continued to make constant noise -- I didn't mind it so much -- the white noise it generated may have been partly why I couldn't hear my neighbors -- but others might not like it.

The location is everything, especially if you’re in town for theatre. It’s also incredibly convenient for trains and easy access to Midtown, Chelsea, the High Line, and the Meatpacking District. Garvey's Irish Pub right next door is a great little piece of Irish New York, they are friendly and have entertainment on some nights. It’s a boutique spot, so you’ll never be waiting forever for an elevator or dealing with big hotel crowds.

The room was super cute, the location of the hotel is absolutely wonderful, the PRICE was awesome, and we were extra stoked to get drink vouchers to the amazing Irish pub there!! Garvey's was such a win. The shower in our room constantly dripped, but closing the bathroom door made it unnoticeable. The other thing that we didn't dig was that the shower had no door on it - just half of a wall. That meant water got on the floor every time we showered, even with the rolled towel they left in place.

Shocard is adequate for a place to stay for a night when you just need a clean bed to flop in, but not much more. The room was a shoebox, with the bed flush against the side wall, and barely enough room for one (small) person to climb in from the other side, let alone two people. I would not recommend this for more than one night, and even then it’s only if you’re looking for an affordable (by Times Square standards) option to stay and you don’t plan on spending any time in the room other than sleeping and taking a shower before you leave.

Also there was only hot water 2 of our 5 days staying here. It just didn’t get warm no matter what we did. The room is obviously small (it’s NY) but the queen bed was up against the wall so I had to climb over to get into bed and there was no power on that side so that was annoying. There’s barely any room for anything so the bags were constantly shifting around the room. The staff wasn’t very friendly either and would just ignore or look annoyed every time we came in and out. The bed made my back hurt and was uncomfortable. Overall not a great place to stay but it was good enough I guess. Could be worse but wasn’t good at all. Want the full story? If I had to "criticize" something or forced to find any other things, well, I did arrive early, like 9am, and had to wait to get into my room at 4pm or so, so I left everything and went for a "long" walk around. Luckily it is NY, so no shortage of things to do, see or spots to grab a coffee or eat something. I wish they had had a room ready, but again, not their fault. And the other suprise when arriving, was the tax per day, but that is not on them but on Expedia/Hotels for not being super clear about it, and on me for not checking it or remembering that I would have to pay it once I was there. Not huge, but a reminder or watch out if you do book through those platforms, that you'll be required to pay that so you don't get surprised like I did. (btw, maybe I would go to 4.5 stars, only because while this was on me, I would have loved the hotel to mention this when I did the check in, not when I checked out)

I tried calling the front desk and the phone in the room didn’t even work. I called them from my personal phone and the front desk lady said that maintenance would be there to fix it. I waited 30 minutes and no one came. I called the desk again and she game me the excuse of “oh maybe they went to go fix something else”… at this point it was 1am. What else would need fixing at this hour? Like I think that having hot water is pretty dire, especially in the New York winter weather. I didn’t end up showering and while I was checking out the next day I brought up the concern again. Another lady at the front desk told me that I should’ve left the water running for 10-15 minutes to warm up? Never have I ever heard of that. Next time I’m in the city I definitely will not stay here again.

Showering and using water in the bathroom was a nightmare. It was either freezing cold or scalding hot water. You would have brief moments of acceptable temperature, but then had to play a balancing act with the knobs. Otherwise, the location was prime; right across from the subway station and a block from Times Square.

I had one of the larger rooms at the back end of the hall that had obviously been recently renovated. Very nicely done: electrical outlets next to the bed, a refrigerator, pretty bathroom with a great shower head, nice bedding. The entrance to the hotel is easy to miss, next to an Irish bar and one of the Broadway theaters, and the lobby isn't much. But for the very reduced price I got the room for, a great find!

Room was small, which was OK. Furnishings were hip, but showing wear. Two major issues: [1] hot water took forever to come on, then was inconsistent; [2] HVAC was a window air conditioner that cycled on and off every 10 seconds or so. I could feel freezing cold air coming in through the vents, so it might not have been properly installed. Price was fairly low, and there was not much to be done, so I tolerated these issues.

I woke up to banging on the doors from a plumber trying to check every single room and didn’t stop banging on the doors. No option to have a do not disturb door hang and I didn’t feel comfortable having the cleaners come into my room every other day at 2pm or later. The elevator (only one) was crowded with towels and bedsheets just sitting on the floor for hours on end during a few of my days I was there. I understand they have to transport that stuff up and down but to have it sit there for hours and multiple days. It didn’t feel clean having towels or bedsheets on the floor of the elevator. The phone in my room was blinking bright red saying I had messages on the voicemail but there were no way to check and the bright light never went away. Their solution was to unplug the phone. Lastly, I requested a wake up call with the front desk - I made sure the phone worked and the morning came and went with NO wake up call. Everything was an extra charge - no late checkout without paying for every single hour that you request. One of the staff members was so busy clinging to her boyfriend instead of being behind the front desk. It was so unprofessional and awkward not knowing who was available for me to talk to.

It was clear there was a problem with the hot water. I see this is a common issue reported now by many Google reviewers for this property. When the desk was questioned about this, their standard response was to leave the water running for 10 to 15 minutes because of “old pipes.” The old pipes are clearly not the issue. That is a made up response to get Expedia off their back it seems like. When I contacted Expedia about this issue they said they would look into it — and the response I received was the same — old pipes. After returning in the evening, there was immediately scalding hot water for 10 seconds. It was then cold for the duration of my entire stay. There were also bags of trash that were dragged through the hotel that left streaks through the elevator. Two people-sized bags were also left in the stairwell I found when I didn’t really want to go back through the elevator. There is no winning with this place. I asked Expedia to consider removing this offering from their platform since it undermines their rating methodology and is clearly misrepresented. They declined looking into it further. Evidently their fare sharing trumps customer problems. Beware my friends.

PROS: Great location close to everything - Amazing customer service. Shout out to Victoria and especially Franklin, who went above and beyond day and night to help. If you need anything, these folks were friendly and great. Five stars help. - While not full breakfast, you can grab a coffee or a tea at the end of the lobby. Quite convenient as you save money and time that way, daily. Bed was comfortable, everything super clean, pretty nice bathroom. CONS: when we arrived there was no room before check in time (sometimes we get lucky, we were not expecting one to be fair) Went for a walk, got back and got our room, but a couple things were not working. We asked to be changed and that worked well, and after a friendly, short convo we also got a slightly bigger room, too. Rooms are on the smaller side. If you don't mind that, this is a great option, clean, great location and customer service. If you need extra space...hmmm, not sure if they offer even bigger rooms. All in all and for the price (still on the expensive end, but it is not just this hotel, prices skyrocketed in NY lately) a really nice option in my opinion. And my wife's.

Customer service is superior from the entire staff! Location to Time Square is excellent! I felt clean and safe. Con's: TV volume doesn't go above 10, Ceiling paint peeling in bathroom, half of a shower door, bed is entirely to soft and low to the floor so if you have a bad back don't stay here. The room is extremely tiny NOT suitable for 2 people. Heck I think a cruise ship cabin is bigger. Lastly all the complaints about the AC being loud is true! I would not stay here again I'd rather pay an additional $150 per night to stay at a much nicer hotel.

The location was excellent and the room was much larger than I expected. The staff was friendly and it was a neat surprise to be greeted with tickets for free goodies at a nearby eatery. (even if we didn't get a chance to use them!)

It was an okay stay. The room I stayed in was quite small; however, for the purposes of my recent trip it was fine. However, I would only recommend getting the small room if you don't plan on spending a lot of time in the room.

From the time we walked through the door to the time we left was an amazing experience. Vouchers for free food a block away, vouchers for cheaper parking, the gentleman working the front desk helped me bring all my luggage upstairs while I controlled my two kids and my husband parked the car. Very comfortable beds very clean. Good sized room for the price and being in NYC. Let us leave our luggage in the lobby after check out to do a few things before we left. Hotel itself very safe and secure and had a very cool bar I wish we took advantage of. I would 100% stay here again when going to the city. Time square is A very short walk away.

This is an excellent little hotel. The rooms are cozy, but functional…think cruise ship cabin. The location is perfect, right in the heart of Times Square/ broadway. The value for the location is great. Remember you are in the dead center of New York City and your expectations need to be tempered appropriately. Are you getting a suite at the Ritz…no, but for the price…wow.

Doesn’t get much better than this at this price point. Located within sight of Times Square and 42nd Street, this proved to be the ideal place for the two of us on our holiday in New York. A few issues on our arrival, no hot water, fridge didn’t work. We were moved to another room. This time fridge didn’t work and the noise from the air conditioner was overwhelming but within a couple of hours we wee moved and settled into a comfy room on the 3rd floor. A big thank you to Mimi for being an excellent host and making sure we were comfortable and settled. The rooms although not spacious, were very clean and had all the amenities we required. Plus the room was very, very quiet. Each room comes with a bar fridge, ironing board, hair dryer, basic toiletries, safe, air conditioner, phone and plenty of power points for charging phones etc. Another big shout out to Franklin who was always there to help us and is such an amiable and friendly host. On one side of the hotel is a great place to dine and have a drink Gleason’s. On the other side Billy Crystal was performing. Buses on 7th Avenue only 60m away take you south of Manhattan. Buses on 6th Avenue only 150m away take you to Uptown. A fabulous location and a very clean hotel with friendly staff. Would recommend Hotel Shocard, New York City.

GREAT location! We've stayed here before and will do so in the future! Subway entrance right across the street---few blocks from Bryant Park--one block to Times Square....comfy bed too. New pizza place (Carnegie Pizza) right next door in addition to the restaurant/bar in the lobby. You can't go wrong booking here

The property was in need of a lot of repair. The table was broken up, the shower didn’t have a door so when you shower the toilet floor and everything got soaked, our door would close all the way unless you put your weight into it to get it to latch. Location was perfect, it was quite. Easy walk to everything.

We asked to change the room unfortunately the guys the front desk were not fiendly they obliged us to stay in this room. We had charged fully 3 nights. They proposed an option to put EarPods. We left the hotel and we booked in Renaissance Hotel not far from the Shocard. We are disappointed we this accommodation. When we returned the keys and proceeded with check out the same date of our arrival the Guys said the hotel charged one night and the balance will be refunded. So far no reactions from the hotel no response to our email neither phone.

The stay was good and the hotel was clean. It is NYC, so it is small. However, we were not told that there is an extra $26 a day service fee at check in. They said it covers your wifi, coffee and a food voucher. The wifi was not the best, the coffee was terrible and there was never any food vouchers given. So I'm not sure what the extra money was really for.

We stay for 4 days and 3 nights and was a very pleasant stay. The front desk employees were very helpful. We stay at room 501 and the impression we got from the room wasn’t the nicest one. One light was missing and the cable were exposed, the lighting is very low. The curtain rod was broken. The air conditioner area was dirty as well as some surfaces. If they give the proper maintenance can be a great hotel as the concept and the area are excellent. The room had a mini fridge and hot water at the shower. Despite these inconveniences it was a pleasant stay.

Hotel Shocard is a great boutique hotel for your NYC stay. The rooms are small but still have everything you need for a great stay. I checked in and was greeted by friendly and efficient staff. My room was cleaned daily which is rare post-covid. The tavern next door is a fun spot with great drinks and food. Best of all, it's in the heart of everything. Great proximity to shows, shopping, food, and anything else you need in Times Square. It's also a short walk to Hell's Kitchen which offers great food away from the strip. I'll definitely be looking to stay here again on my next to trip to the city.

Nice stay. I had read reviews about room being smaller, but I felt room was in fact regular size. Very clean and nicely maintained. The only thing which I did not like is being misled on the parking. The text on the website indicated that on-site parking is free but there is height restriction. But I felt cheated to pay $40 parking for offsite

Amazing location! Could not be beat. Just steps to Times Square, shows, the subway, shopping, cafés. So close and centrally located to everything. The only downside was there was a thin sheer curtain rather than a blackout curtain. And being that close to Times Square it was completely lit in our room even at 2 AM with all the lights off. Would be such an easy and inexpensive fix to replace the curtain with a blackout shade. Then the room would have been perfect!

Amazing location and lovely staff. Room was exactly as pictured, just enough space for two. Bathroom was great, and shower was excellent. The ideal base for exploring the city and we would stay again. There were elements of the room that weren't well maintained, some of the lights weren't working, the drawers didn't stay closed as they were screwed in at an angle! Also be aware some rooms are on a main road. Otherwise great value for money.

The guy at the front desk (didn’t catch his name) was so welcoming and so nice. All the staff I encountered were the same and readily available to answer any questions regarding the city or to just chat with. In terms of the room, I honestly loved it. The room was smaller than I expected but I actually liked it like that. It felt comfy and homey. And THE BATHROOM… the bathroom was so beautiful it had such a cute elegant retro vibe. The location was perfect especially if you want to just step out and get right into all the madness of the city. I love how alive it was. Really do recommend staying here and I’m not one for writing reviews but I enjoyed it a lot!!

They tried to charge me a ‘resort fee’ of $28 after I checked out. This was not advertised in advance and I was not informed when I checked in. It was a completely dishonest attempt to fleece an honest customer who had stayed with them on more than one occasion. I will not go back.

Great location and lovely staff. The room was clean and very comfortable. One of the lights in the room didn’t work, the shower wouldn’t switch to the waterfall showerhead and two of the drawers didn’t open because they were blocked by the door hinge. However, those were all minor issues and I would definitely stay again! A great place to recharge after a busy day for a good price.
