Reviews
The hotel receives mixed reviews with guests appreciating the cleanliness of the rooms and helpfulness of the staff. However, there are frequent complaints about the smell of cigarette smoke, limited parking, and the unsafe surrounding area.
- Clean rooms
- Helpful staff
- Cigarette smell in rooms and hallways
- Limited parking
- 1/5
There was no soap only one towel for two guests. The room was full of smoke smell it was a disgrace sorry to say 😐
- 3/5
I feel like the company could do better with the parking. Parking is extremely tight here and only holds up to about 6-7 vehicles @ a time. Little to no contact with the staff, the rooms were kept nice and clean except for the mold around the inside of the shower bottom and the shower head needed to be tightened up. The bed was very uncomfortable for sleeping for 3 days.
- 4/5
I had a clean room and did air conditioners. The beds were clean and the bathroom.
- 4/5
It was a very cozy stay stayed for about two days. Everything was clean. The staff was always here to help.
- 4/5
good parking, good AC,only issue was no microwave in rooms,Had to go downstairs to use one
- 4/5
It's small but comfortable for the price.
- 3/5
Decent hotel but for the price..it could've been better
- 4/5
The heat was effective, and parking was limited but safe
- 4/5
We got lucky with a lot parking spot but there aren’t many available. Felt safe and easy to get to! Would stay again
- 5/5
Very clean

- 5/5
The room was great, nice and clean and everything
- 4/5
Everything was good, courteous and clean
- 4/5
Yes smaller than what I expected and the water pressure was too low- but everything else was perfect. Staff was truly helpful. I’ll be back to stay again.
- 3/5
Didnt appreciate seeing porn while channel searching.
- 2/5
is king hotel just for on nigth
- 5/5
Very helpful and friendly staff. Room clean and cosy ( the AC very loud though!)
- 2/5
The front desk associate was beyond rude and lacked people skills. She was on the phone with her boyfriend the entire time during checking in and didn’t even welcome us. Just blankly looked at us when I said I needed to check in. The glass made it hard to hear what she said so she gave attitude when I asked what she said. Not welcoming at all. Ive never experienced that from a hotel, especially this hotel where it’s a hole in the wall and run down.
- 2/5
For the price I was expecting more I don’t know if I will stay there next time.
- 5/5
The room was great.
- 4/5
Our room was nice and clean, comfy for an overnight stay.
- 3/5
Parking was available. Room was very basic, but clean. Served our purpose. Felt safe.
- 2/5
The check in was good. Very disappointed the room was book for 3 adults, the hotel just provided 2 towels 1 small & 2 washcloths. No coffee maker or microwave, and the room didn't have a don not disturb door sign plus, the parking was deceitful and the cigarette smoke smell reeked for a none smoking floor. Wasn't happy
- 4/5
The room was comfortable
- 3/5
Limited parking
- 4/5
Clean room , nice staff , parking was decent ..
- 4/5
Good place to stay for the money and car parking is big plus
- 3/5
There is construction next to the hotel.
- 4/5
Lights were not working when we checked in
- 5/5
The room was clean and it was quiet. Loved my experience at the hotel.
- 2/5
The cost was not comparable to the crime neighborhood
- 3/5
the room and hotel were expected for the price however the AC WREAKS omg the air coming out smells like stale urine
- 3/5
The staff is a little bit rude when it comes to answering questions. They hang up the phone on you when you call the front desk. At 11:am exactly check out time, you have better be on your way out, if not your room phone will be ringing.
- 5/5
Oh and Mike - amazing job guys.
- 4/5
This is a basic, no frills motel. Hey. what can you ask for. The beds are clean, the rooms are clean, mattresses and bedding are comfortable, the water is hot, and they had on site parking. I cant complain. Really its a decent place to stay.
- 3/5
The room was too small for 2 beds. There was a lot of noise in the corridor during night time
- 5/5
Clean and comfortable. Friendly check in.
- 4/5
This property was ok no complaints
- 5/5
Great service
- 1/5
This place is a real dump.
- 4/5
And perfect for a night or two. Bathroom really clean air conditioner worked perfectly.
- 4/5
The hotel was clean and neat. There was a bridge not very far from the hotel that was very filthy and filled with trash underneath. Otherwise the hotel was good.
- 3/5
So it was a long 3 nights for me
- 2/5
Property it outdated but it was fine just over priced, worth maybe $100 a night not $230
- 1/5
They asked me to pay cash when I check in
- 1/5
Also too much noice in the hotel the whole night which made the night not enjoyable
- 5/5
Unrivaled comfort.
- 5/5
Hotel Bliss is a must stay any time I go to NY. Fair price, very clean and cozy, staff is very polite. Beds are really comfy. Many things like food is at walking distance. I belkeve the rooms are sound proof because I bareñy jear the traffic even tho is in a boulevard. I will always go back to the Bliss.
- 3/5
The location was within City limits, however it was in an industrial area where you were vulnerable to crime. The staff were friendly and helpful and the room was clean.
- 3/5
Its in the heart of East New York on Linden near the amazon facility. The room is decent for a 2 night stay, but you can tell that the room has been smoked in, because as soon as you opened the door that was the first scent that hit me. We had to spray it down in order to sleep my sister and i both have asthma so it was kinda ruff 🙃. I believe they need to have new pillows for better comfort. The room was small, but workable. The room door needs to be fixed, for safety reasons. Other then that it was o.k
- 4/5
It’s was ok
- 1/5
Hotel have dirty sheets and pillows we spend $198 for one night too expensive for the room condition.
- 1/5
Hotel room had no towels
- 5/5
I like the serenity of the place.
- 5/5
Bueno
- 5/5
Okay
- 5/5
Parking was limited
- 5/5
Best hotel
- 3/5
The smmel of weed is inside every room of the hotel
- 5/5
Best
- 1/5
Shower floor had lots of black bacteria. Some rooms have a refrigerator and some don’t so if you need one, you have to tell the front desk. Service is pretty slow. Area is bad, scary and not that close to JFK airport.
- 3/5
Dirtiest carpet from all hotels I've been in
- 4/5
It’s a mid-value property, sidewalks are lit and I suppose it’s relatively easy to get to. Infrequent busses but it’s less than 20 minutes to the A train if you don’t dilly dally. Linden Blvd is pretty loud but at least you don’t have one way access streets so it’s fairly safe.
- 3/5
The staff were great, the accommodations met our needs.
- 1/5
The moment I walked in the room I wanted to leave but there was a no refund policy and I didn’t want to ruin my night because it was my honeymoon, I thought this was a hotel, not a roach motel, once I checked in and move away from the desk, the person who was next in line behind me ask the front desk how much for 3 hours, the place was dirty the shower was dirty, there was 2 big holes in the duvet cover, the linens were very wrinkled make me think that they might not have been changed, no bodywash, no shampoo, little bit of tissue on a roll for just one use, we went down and complained and the guy at the front desk was extremely rude and dismissive to us. I couldn’t take a shower because I didn’t want to catch fungus. This was the worst experience I ever had staying at a hotel.
- 5/5
Perfect
- 5/5
I always enjoy my stay at Bliss
- 1/5
It's listed as near the airport and listed on the site at 2.6 miles. But it was a 35 minute taxi ride to Brooklyn. the pictures listed on Expedia are not the actual hotel. the only saving grace of the whole experience was the pleasant man at the door. He kept us safe. Other than that, it's in an unsafe neighborhood. It smells like cigarette smoke and it's used for prostitution. Expedia should reconsider this. and update the listing so other people seeking a quick overnight stay at JFK. Do not end up here.
- 2/5
It’s a dump
- 1/5
This hotel is a motel it’s nasty. Walls had some kind of gunk on them roaches on the bed. Just gross.wish I could have uploaded the video and other pictures.
- 3/5
It is much more a motel than hotel.
- 1/5
Property overall cigarette smell. Surrounding area unsafe. Facility is run down, felt like a cheap motel.
- 5/5
Room was nice and clean
- 1/5
This was the worst experience I have had with Expedia. This hotel is not what the reviews claims it to be. Beware.
- 5/5
We good. But fix your computer system. When the front desk was registering my id, a different id pops up.
- 4/5
I wish there was a coffee maker and tea ingredients in the room.
- 4/5
I was actually inpressed. I am from the area and it is not know to have decent hotels. The staff was accommodating and friendly. It was clean and quiet. Parkinf was limited but i had no problem as it was nid week. I will be using this as my go to place when i go home to visit. Very close in proximity and not overly priced!
- 3/5
.
- 4/5
WiFi didn’t work.
- 3/5
Limited parking, no option for early check in.
- 5/5
The staff was helpful and the room was clean and the parking is super convenient
- 5/5
I didn't have problems with parking and I don't think they could expand but if they could that would be awesome.
- 4/5
Room is nice and cozy
- 3/5
No much facilities for food near by
- 1/5
I don’t recommend it at all
- 1/5
He said that people smoke in these non-smoking rooms and after they catch them they’re banned. Apparently it’s a thing. There’s a site next door with flood lights that came directly into the room because the curtains were broken. I paid for the mistake of going there. Don’t do the same. I spoke to the front desk manager and of course there’s no type of discount for the nastiness. Oh, and the pics on the site are NOT the same as in person. BEWARE
- 5/5
Would definitely recommend it.
- 2/5
The room that was given me and my kids was smelling badly and the rugs were very very dirty and sticky
- 1/5
I was never able to check into my reservation because no one was at the front desk
- 1/5
The rooms look nothing like the pictures
- 5/5
Nice
- 1/5
Not an area I would stay in
- 3/5
Non Smoking room smelled with smoke, Elevator not working
- 2/5
This property was in a horrible location of town when n an unsafe neighborhood. Rooms were dirty and small. No common area in hotel. Smelled of smoke. “Couples” going in and out. Don’t recommend
- 3/5
This is definitely a Budget Hotel in Brooklyn. There isn’t much in regards to extras and the hotel is old, but the room was comfortable, AC and TV worked and the bathroom was updated. No coffee. If you need a place to sleep this should work.
- 5/5
It was peaceful, as usual. My room was clean and I can't wait until my next trip.
- 5/5
Overnight getaway great day
- 2/5
Parking is very limited, there's only about 4 parking spots and 2 handicap parking. The hotel states there's no smoking yet the minute you walk in the hallway to get to the room you start smelling smoke. The room smells like smoke and bed smells like urine. The carpet on was wet in front of the mini fridge the minute I got in the room and took my shoes off. The heating system is so loud and keeps going off/on every 5 minutes so it's hard to get a good night sleep. The toilet was disgusting, both the toilet cover and toilet seat was peeling off. I've never seen anything like this. Housekeeping staff not friendly at all. The only pleasant employees were the ladies that was working at the front desk.
- 4/5
Got more then I expected for the location and price. Overall room was decent and clean, but the carpet needs changing for sure (socks almost stuck to carpet). I would also suggest bringing a extra pair of your own sheets. The sheets provided were clean, but a corner sheet came up and you could tell the mattress had its fair share of visitors. I would stay again if I needed a cheap alternative because the location is close to my family.

- 5/5
Clean
- 5/5
It was what i was looking for at short notice.
- 5/5
Had a great one-night stay. Gentleman at front was courteous on our check-in and the same for the gentleman we had on check-out. Location was excellent for our event and although our room was on a busy street the noise level was minimal. It was 8 minutes from Applebee's where we ate our Thanksgiving meal.
- 1/5
Just because a place slaps the name hotel on a building does not make it so. This is nothing but a sleazy MOTEL! Although it was suppose to be a smoke free environment it reeked of cigarette smoke. I was suppose to stay for 3 nights I stayed for one(which I hate that I had to do) and quickly checked out! This is not a child friendly environment, would never stay here again!
- 1/5
The receptionist is a very unpleasant attitude and is not customer friendly at all. We also found a bed bug on the pillow.
- 2/5
The room was dirty, the toilet seat was peeling, yes I said peeling. Even tho it was a non smoking room it still smelled like smoke. The white blind at the window was now the shade of black dirt, in addition the fitted sheet had a stain. It is run down and not worth $169 a night. I stay at this hotel back when it opened a few years back and it was good then. Oh they have about 6-7 parking spot with 3 being handicapped.
- 2/5
Musty, smells like cigarettes. Hotel only has about 8 parking spaces, had to park on the curb in the lot, worried about car getting towed all night. Bed not comfortable, sheets, towels, shower curtain all very worn, frayed, stained. Carpet dirty, curtain didn’t cover entire window so room not dark and right on the street with lots of road noise.
- 5/5
Experience was amazing!! The only issue I had was getting in my room. No matter how many times I’ve changed my key card I couldn’t get the door to open. Had to keep swiping until it finally turned green. Other than that loved it
- 4/5
No coffee in room. Bathroom was very impressive (newly renovated)
- 5/5
Everything about this place is great, would definitely return.
- 5/5
Close to airport, clean, safe, easy parking and inexpensive.
- 5/5
Staff was polite and the location is convenient
- 4/5
ITS SAFE
- 4/5
The staff was pleasant and parking was free.
- 3/5
bed was comfortable but the room reeked of smoke. the walls are paper thin and you can hear everything. house keeping was very thorough and did a great job. overall it was okay.
- 5/5
I enjoyed my short stay property was clean and quiet
- 5/5
Whenever I stay in NY. I stay here. Clean quiet area. Comfy bed. And close to all my party destinations.
- 4/5
Hotel was clean. If your looking for somewhere to stay just for the night. Rooms are small and very low to street level so you can hear everything outside. Parking lot is about 10 spaces so first come first serve. Area is very industrial so nothing real in the area within walking distance.
- 4/5
It was quiet and peaceful. Room was clean and did not smell. Had a very nice weekend get away.
- 1/5
The ladies who received us at the desk was very rude and talked very unprofessional. She needs to be nicer to the customers. After that the hotel wad very nice.
- 5/5
Its always well cleaned when i I come here. The staff is always friendly and accommodating.
- 1/5
Didnt stay. Left hotel. Customer service was horrible. Cant have any visitors and no stores close by. This place is down block from the hood
- 1/5
Would never stay at this place.
- 1/5
Very dirty, walls are paper thin, not the best area
- 3/5
The room itself needed some work, the walls were dirty, the lap shade full of stains, comforter had burn holes, sheets had stains and the bathroom shower was full of knats....everytime i went in felt like a battle with knats. Front desk didn't answer when we called and we sure didn't feel like going downstairs
- 3/5
They don’t let u pre pay
- 4/5
Having stayed at this establishment probably good 10 to 15 times over the last 3 years I wasn't surprised everything was as I expected. Rooms clean Hotel was clean.
- 5/5
Location is just 20 minutes from my job and parking is free. Lastly, don’t forget there is a modern large multiplex movie theater just a block away.
- 3/5
Easily accessible & parking was available tho limited . Time for new throw pillows , in horrible condition( dingy and threading unraveling ). Not appealing at all ,first thing l noticed not to mention hair on the clean towels left in the bathroom.
