Excellent location and the staff were very friendly and helpful.

The front desk staff were welcoming, informative, and fast. Room was very clean as well. So overall this stay was good. Only thing I'd say is that breakfast was a bit bland and flavor.

Close to Subway and Time square, yet not too close so area was quiet from the city noise. Minor negative aspect was that the street at night was dark with some homeless people sleeping in a sidewalk yet the hotel did not have a security ( at least I did not see any during our 4 night stay ), so we did feel somewhat uncomfortable coming back later in the evening.

This property was located in a terrific location that was within easy walking distance to subways and attractions in midtown. The staff was very helpful in explaining how to get to stations. Highly recommend!

We checked in, and the computers were down(6/27/26). The staff was BEYOND expectations and helpful. They were checking in people as quickly as possible (without computers) and were personally walking people up to their rooms. The next morning, we had key fobs slid under our door allowing us access to the room. Staff was GREAT! The breakfasts were satisfying for sure (scrambled eggs, omelettes, bacon, chicken fajitas, potato wedges, waffles, pastries, misc. breads, juices) over the course of our stay. If weather permits, sit outside. Peacful. The ONLY "drawback" is you are at 37th. The nearest subway is at 42 or 34. So we had to walk "a bit." Who cares - it was NYC and I expected to walk (45+ miles in 5 days). Location - you are 1-street away from 8th, which gets you to Time Square in like 15 minutes or head south to a more "quiet" area in 15 minutes. And my wife is telling me to tell you - if you are coffee lover, expect to walk a bit. Yes, They have a Dunkin and Starbucks close, but if you want a "NYC Coffee Experience" you need to walk. And that is ok. Google coffee and you can find some cool places - we did. But PLENTY of pizza shops, a CVS, etc. close by. A GREAT place called Starstruck about a 10-minute walk. OH - and the kitchen is GREAT to have. Big fridge, plates, silverware, etc. Excellent to use as needed. I would safely say that I would stay here again if I came to NYC. Thank you!!

Every staff member we encountered was friendly, courteous, and helpful. The breakfast staff provided great service each morning, and the breakfast itself was very good. Our housekeeper did an excellent job keeping our room clean and was incredibly kind and sweet throughout our stay. We did experience an issue with the A/C not working for a few nights. However, this was not the hotel's fault, and when we brought it to their attention, the staff handled the situation professionally and compensated us for the inconvenience, which we greatly appreciated. Overall, our experience was excellent. The outstanding customer service, convenient location, and welcoming atmosphere made for a perfect stay. Thank you to the entire team we look forward to coming back!

Everything is expensive in NYC. I think the hostel staff could be more friendly and polite. I think they should improve the breakfast, adding some salada. They only have eggs because is cheap.

The elevators were super busy in the morning, so allow 10 minutes to get to the lobby. Also we had a hard time getting more towels to our room. We only had a couple replaced when our room was serviced and had to ask three times before we actually got any.

I was so thrilled with this place! Photos are so accurate is the biggest thing for me! Staff is lovely, lobby is nice, fitness center is so nice/pretty and great machines, outdoor patio wasn’t much but the chairs so that’s the only one lacking but feels like it’s beginning of summer and maybe just not ready yet. I was in a king effeciency. For a solo traveler this city view was lovely, kitchenette great, couch and desk are a great size and movable about the room, bed so comfy. Love love love!! And I researched like 100 places and this was perfect.

The staff were very kind and helpful, the location of the hotel is great. We spent eight nights at the hotel, so having almost the same breakfast every day became very monotonous. There were no cold cuts, no vegetables, and no vegan options (no vegan butter, no vegan milk, no vegan yoghurt etc.) . Surprisingly, the breakfast area is far too small for the number of guests they accommodate, so on some mornings we had to wait quite a long time for a table. The refrigerator and the ventilation system in the room were very noisy, so we often woke up during the night because of the constant noise.

There was never any ice in the ice machine on our floor. But the room was clean, and quiet.

The room was spacious, clean, and included a small fridge and microwave that came in handy. Breakfast changed daily with a delicious variety. The employees were helpful and kind. The common areas and overall environment were well-maintained and comfortable.

Midtown location Strange buzzing noise during the night that lasted 30 seconds at random times. Staff were either fantastic or disinterested. Room tidied every other day which was fine, but only 2 coffee pods and 2 milks were left for 4 people???

The internet was fast and provided me the convenience I needed. I didn’t eat the continental breakfast as I 16:8 fast but saw a lot of patrons eating. The location is going through construction but you don't hear it. It's noticeable in the main lobby, again the hotel does a good job of not letting the guest hear the sound. The workout room was updated. They had enough of cardio equipment. Overall a great stay

The breakfast was good and it was different each day. The room was nice and clean. We had a hard time checking in and had to change rooms 3 times, but the hotel didn't try to do anything to make it right to us. It was a long waiting time for the elevators too.

What truly made our experience exceptional, was the outstanding staff. I want to extend a heartfelt thank you to Rahima and Rafi and to the housekeeping crew, who went above and beyond with their customer service. After checking out, I accidentally left my Louis Vuitton purse behind. Their team not only found it but took the extra step to carefully pack it and mail it back to me. Their honesty, kindness, and dedication to customer service are truly worth recognizing. It’s rare to encounter such genuine care, and I am incredibly grateful. I would absolutely stay here again and highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting NYC.

Everything was great! Location was perfect: just 10 minutes walk to Times Square. Breakfasts were good: a good variety of hot and cold options. The hot options changed daily. The rooms were clean, the kitchen had everything you need: especially good if you are traveling with small kids. We also really appreciated a 24-hour complimentary coffee station on the ground floor: there was not just coffee, but also a selection of tea and hot chocolate. Perfect after a long day of walking. I really enjoyed my stay. The hotel is in a great location near Penn Station and a bus station, with easy access to New Jersey, the airports, and other parts of New York City. There were plenty of dining options within walking distance, and Broadway theaters were also easy to reach on foot. The hotel felt cozy, and I felt very comfortable and safe throughout my stay. I also really enjoyed the breakfast, which was tasty and offered a good variety of options. Overall, my stay was very good, but the cleanliness could have been improved. The floor was slightly dirty when I arrived, I found a hairpin that appeared to have been left by previous guests, and I occasionally noticed some hair on the clean towels

On a more negative note, there seems to be a lack of organization. After a long trip, I was given a room that was said to be ready, but it was clearly not cleaned and a guest had just checked out. You can imagine how frustrating that was. Additionally, the photos shown on the website are not very representative of the actual rooms. The rooms could definitely use some refreshing. I was also disappointed with the housekeeping service. Although the service is supposed to be provided every two days, the service I received was very disappointing: the bathroom was not cleaned and the housekeeper even ran the dishwasher for just one plate. During breakfast, some of the male staff supervising the area were not very professional. One of them was handing out his personal cards to women and telling them to contact him if they needed help. Overall, the hotel is extremely well located, close to everything and near Times Square. The size of the rooms is very good compared to many other hotels in Manhattan. The kitchenette in the room is also a great advantage for saving money on food. I have also attached photos of the room that was given to me upon my arrival.

Great location Requested for my room to be cleaned at 10am. Came back at 3:30pm and the room still wasn’t cleaned.

Location was good and walking distance from most places. Rooms are spacious but the bathroom wasn’t properly clean. Towels were rough and the most inconvenient part was having no water at night. Middle of taking a shower the water stopped and when I told the hotel they just brushed it off by saying someone is working on it and you’ll have water in another hour or so. I had to try to wash shampoo off my hair with some bottled water I bought to drink.

I accidentally didn’t book for our last night at the hotel and the front desk was amazing at fixing my mistake and we were able to stay in the same room and deal with it whenever we got back to the hotel! Huge help from Junior at the desk including a personal phone call, especially as we have kids and a ton of stuff!

Wonderful responsive staff. Clean room. Nice location for the project I was working on. I’m taking down a star because 1- the fridge temp control was broken and set at the coldest temp, freezing all my drinks and food, which I found out when i woke up in the morning, and 2- the seal at the bottom of the shower door leaked terribly and I had to mop up the shower water each time. I have notified management of these issues so I trust they will be fixed. Otherwise I highly recommend this location.

The hotel is centrally located, just a short walk to Times Square, the Empire State Building etc. It's also near a subway. The family we had was very spacious for a family of four. The breakfast was good, with a decent selection of foods.

We have stayed at this hotel many times over the years. Our room was spotless and well decorated. We had the cutest little full kitchen and the entire room (two doubles and a pull out couch) was a nice size. The front desk staff are so friendly and helpful. Free breakfast is a huge plus! We will definitely be back. It is one of our favorite places to stay. We feel comfortable and at home here.

Check in was messy. Arrived early and luggage placed in storage. Told room would be ready at 4pm. Arrived back 4.15pm. Not ready. Asked to wait 30 mins. Waited 45 mins and had to go back to checkin desk and chase them up. 15mins later into room. Room was smaller than expected but did have fridge, microwave and small hot plates. The lifts are really slow and you may wait a few times to get one. Rooms serviced every 2nd day. Ours got missed one day but called up and they corrected. Gym good but people can watch you from above. The laundry was helpful. They have a little shop which sell a few things. The breakfast is average and super busy. Not enough seating better off to grab and go back to room. For the price i would say below average. Staff not that friendly.

We traveled with our four children and had two rooms. Comfortable beds. The king large enough for me and seven year old twins who insisted on being together. Breakfast had options we all enjoyed. The room was another story though. The king bed and chair with fold out bed basically took all but walking space. The fold out chair was just nasty, the mattress was obviously original to the building. Very uncomfortable. The towels weren’t ever fresh smelling, the pillows were so flat, even with 2, but only one for the foldout. the lighting was terrible. VERY DIM lighting. I had to get my phone flashlight out to see sometimes. Shower door wouldn’t close so water got all on the floor. I asked for more towels saying that we had water on the floor and had to call back the next morning to ask for it again! The comforter was thin and worn!

Good stay, good location. Discounted parking at the lot done the street on the right hand side. Rooms were renovated and spacious with full fridge and microwave which came in handy. Pull out bed for my daughter wasn’t the most comfortable. Also couldn’t get into room until 4pm.

What surprised us most was how quiet the room was. We heard nothing from neighboring rooms, very little from the hallway and little street noise (we were on the 9th floor). The staff were friendly and efficient. The breakfast was surprisingly good, though seating was a problem.

Mattress was not good. Cleaning more often.

Great place for a recent overnight to see the Rockettes. Rooms are small and beds are a little lumpy but everything is modern and felt safe. Always greeted when we entered the lobby. Good variety at breakfast and it was tasty. Always able to get a cup of tea and hang out. It's the little things like that which made this stay a very good experience.

Friendly staff, spacious & quiet room

The only drawback is the elevators which are quite busy, esp in the morning. Room refresh is only every other day, ours was scheduled after 530pm so we just had new towels and trash emptied. Our room had a view of the laundry next door, would've preferred something different but the price was right.

Size of rooms were amazingly large

Hotel was good, clean and good location. However staff at check in were grumpy, staff at breakfast were lovely. unfortunately having an adjoining door does not make the rooms silent. We have children and when the people next door came back we could hear every single thing they said through the adjoining door. Luckily didn’t wake the kids up but it did wake the adults up!

The room was clean and in great condition. Location was perfect. Breakfast was amazing. But the most impressive part of this hotel was the front desk staff! We will definitely be back!

It is a decent hotel, with good amenities and breakfast. Staff was friendly. But watch out if you look through third party site like Expedia. Management on site made it not easy to make changes. In my case, I downgraded my stay and management told me I need to contact Expedia for a price adjustment. I contacted Expedia and Expedia reached out to hotel management- and the management would deny or ignore the requests. So make sure you get your appointment right the first time if you use 3 rd party site.

Check in was poor. At 4 PM (an hour after check-in time) we were told it would be five minutes. Half an hour later we were told our room was ready. We were not told housekeeping was on alternate days and ran out of toilet paper. Had more towels delivered too. Housekeeping staff were friendly and responsive. Front desk not so much.

The included breakfast was nice, although some of the hot options weren't always that appetising first thing in the morning. Having coffee and tea available in reception all day was a nice touch. I didn't have that much interaction with the staff, but when I did they were friendly and courteous. The rooftop terrace was nice to have - we got some good photos of skyscrapers. The only thing that bothered me slightly on our stay was that the fridge in our room was very loud, so kept waking me up every night - I ended up having to sleep wearing earplugs.

We were in for the NYC Marathon and the location was convenient. The hotel is great as we had a one bedroom suite which was very spacious.

Room was larger than most Manhattan hotels and clean and quiet. The breakfast was larger than most although it is popular and gets crowded. I’d definitely stay here again!

Walking distance from Times Square, Theatre District, Rockefeller Plaza, Joe’s Pizzza is a must, Los Tacos No.1, pharmacy close, Penn Station close, a bit further but still walkable to Grand Central. Pricey…. But it’s New York.

Perfect location! Walkable to lots of things we wanted to see, close to the train station as well as subway stops. I loved that it was close to Times Square but not quite in it. The breakfast was great. Would definitely stay there again.

This hotel was a pleasant surprise. We enjoyed our stay very much. Our room was well equipped with everything we could need. We enjoyed the breakfast choices, good coffee, friendly service. We loved the rooftop area. We had friends come by and we hung out up there. We would highly recommend.

My only complaint is the homeless folks and drug use that occurs outside and nearby the hotel. I know you can't change the public however. We will indeed stay here again on our next trip.

I really enjoyed the breakfasts! It definitely saved me a lot of money and they were delicious. Stuff also helped me open doors when my hands were full of plates.

It was a perfect location for walking to the shows on Broadway and Times Square! The room was clean, bed was comfy and the small kitchen was great! The staff were ever so helpful and the free breakfast every morning was one to look forward to! We will definitely stay here again! We had a fabulous time!

The best place we have ever stayed in NYC. Close to everything but the hotel is wonderful. Everyone goes out of their way to help you and everyone is so friendly. The room was spacious and clean, equipped with a full-sized refrigerator, microwave, and stove. The staff was fantastic, and the lobby, featuring a cozy fireplace, workspaces, complimentary coffee around the clock, and delicious breakfasts, was a plus. Everything was within walking distance, and we used the subway to get around. We’ll definitely choose this place for our next trip to NYC.

Very nice place

We found the hotel to be very clean and the staff was extremely friendly and helpful. We had 5 guest so we had a room with a fold out twin size sleeper. My 18 year old slept on it and the mattress was very bad. After the first night, I text the help number and they had a topper brought to our room within 15 mins. The lobby was very welcoming and my husband enjoyed watching the football games there. The breakfast was fine and you can certainly find something you will eat. I really liked that they had coffee, hot tea and water available at all times.

The hotel was clean, conveniently located and they upgraded one of our rooms! There was also a continental breakfast. Cannot say enough great reviews about this hotel.

Hotel was very nice. The rooms were very clean. The air conditioners worked amazingly, breakfast was very good. The only issue is the fact they should tell you it’s right across from a homeless shelter lots of people on the street right in front of the hotel doing drugs.

Rooms were a decent size and clean.

No one told us at check=in that the roms were only serviced every 2 days - ! Not a top-line etablishment. And, it took 3 different requests - over 2 days - to get the extra towels. I had to read the riot act to the front desk.

The weekend breakfast is quite extensive with several food options. The staff was very knowledgeable and acoomodating of ours son's dietary needs.

Getting an extra blanket or extra towels or having room refreshed on schedule was a little like pulling teeth- but eventually it all came through. Great stay.

The lobby was dirty. The bathroom door handle was broken. The coffee tasted like the pot had not been cleaned. They charged $30 per hour for early check-in which led to overcrowded lobby. Clear the property needed an update.

Hotel was fine as far as a homewood goes, the breakfast having good variety was a plus. My room was not ready well past check in, around 6pm they were calling around trying to find a room for us

I liked the rooms, very clean and spacious. Area was pretty bad, definitely dont want to walk on the street at night time. Annoyed that they put off my check-in time every 20 mins so I didnt get into my room until after 430.

Loved the breakfast options each morning. Free coffee and water all day is a plus. Fast check-in and check-out. Free bag check in case room isn't ready. Parking available down same side of street. All staff members encountered were friendly. Rooftop area clean and peaceful. Spacious, clean room with floor to ceiling windows. Hotel is walking distance to a variety of things in midtown: Empire State Building, Hudson Yards, Times Square, MSG, Macy's. Cons: Noises within room (refrigerator and vent high pitch squeal and vibrating).

Great amazing kind staff

Purified drinking water ( hot and cold ) is available if you want to fill up your water bottle before heading out.

We stayed in a room with a 15-year-old and made use of the sofa bed. Unfortunately, the room was very small, leaving no space for luggage, and the sofa was both outdated and uncomfortable. Breakfast was extremely crowded, with seating almost impossible to find; many guests ended up eating in the lobby, at the elevator area, or at work tables. Elevators were also insufficient, especially during breakfast hours. For rooms facing the back, opening the windows was not an option due to excessive mechanical noise. Overall, while the location and staff are excellent, the room comfort, breakfast arrangements, and noise issues leave much room for improvement.

Very comfortable beds. Stayed for 8 days, it was excellent. Have a nice varied breakfast included so it's a previlege in new york city. Transport , underground station easily accessible and plenty nearby restaurants. Very helpful staff and hot drinks facility on site is very nice to have. Full and free internet access.

Location is in the garment district. Quite a few unhoused people on this street but they didnt bother us. Close to Penn Station and walkable to Times Square and Herald's Square. Breakfast was good. Staff was friendly and helpful. Rooftop seating was nice. Would recommend and return.

One of the greatest advantages of this hotel is its prime location—just a few minutes’ walk to Times Square and many other vibrant, must-see spots in New York City. Whether I wanted to explore iconic landmarks, catch a Broadway show, or simply soak up the city's energy, everything was conveniently within reach. The true highlight of my stay, however, was the breakfast. Each morning, I was greeted with an impressive variety of cuisines to choose from, ensuring there was something for every taste. Even better, the food was unlimited, and there was always a generous selection of soft drinks and juices available. It was the perfect way to start a day of adventure. Overall, I highly recommend this property for anyone visiting New York. It combines exceptional cleanliness, tranquility, an unbeatable location, and a breakfast experience that truly stands out.

My biggest complaint was the complete lack of communication between housekeeping and the front desk. I requested a bed linen change twice in the morning on days that were not my housekeeping days through the text concierge. Both times this was confirmed and I was told it was no problem. Arriving back in my room with tired children and dirty linens TWICE after requesting it 12 hours earlier was not acceptable. The second time it happened and I reported it to the front desk via the text app, they couldn't even be bothered to respond. So...if I have a similarly priced option in the future, I would stay elsewhere based just on this alone.

Stay was amazing really. Staff was great, we enjoyed the breakfast. The facility is great as well. But felt uncomfortable having to come and go immediately outside the property especially at nights. Wish something can be done about the drug addicts so close to the hotel. While they seem harmless it’s hard to swallow as you step out the hotel.

The hotel was really good, the downside was the area around the property was not the best, lots of people who were using drugs in the street near the hotel. However, I don’t think this is unique to this street or this hotel. I have visited New York a number of times and this is the worst it has been for drug users on the streets.

Property is accessible to the main city viewpoints. Also, staff were very courteous and professional. Continental breakfast was excellent too.

Very spacious and nice place. Front desk person, Donnovan, was absolutely amazing. We spoke multiple times about early check-in, and my daughters birthday. He arranged everything and even had a birthday goody bag in the room. Very friendly staff, clean. Good breakfast included. Great location. Will definitely stay here again.

The property is fine, staff super friendly and nice, the location was very convenient for us, but the area is not the best, a lot of homeless and sketchy people right outside

The hotel itself is very nice. The staff was amazing and very helpful and quickly responded to our requests. They obviously take pride in their property and providing good customer service. The rooms were clean and the hot breakfast was great and convenient. The only negative was the homeless section of sidewalk adjacent to the hotel entrance. We witnessed people sleeping on the street day and night. It wasn’t a very clean section of sidewalk. But the hotel did clean the sidewalk directly in front of the building every day. We were never approached but it felt a little unsafe to walk down 37th to the front door of the hotel.

However, the bathroom space was small and didn't allow space for toiletries, makeup, etc. Also, the toilet leaked a few times after normal flushes. Maintenance did address the matter promptly. There was also quite a presence of homeless individuals near the hotel upon exiting every day. Despite those things, our family had a good stay.

Property inside was good. Awesome food options for breakfast and prompt services by staff. Cleanliness needs to improve. Room service was good. There were homeless people constantly outside next door store and passing thru them is always inconvenient with family.

My check in was excellent. The receptionist was amazing!! Even though i wish there was a broom, dust pan and mop in the room to clean the floor but I'm gping to mske sure I ask for next time

As nasty as this city is, it was surprising how the environment changed when you walked through the hotel doors. The hotel was super clean and people were so friendly. The staff was very responsive and helpful.

Every encounter we had with staff was 10/10. They were friendly, helpful, and polite. We would definitely stay here again.

The walk at night felt a little unsafe as lots of homeless drug addicts along the way. Although the hotel was very clean, the bedding for our sofa bed was not all clean. One if the sheets had lots of stains in it so we couldn’t use it. Great breakfast and great to have access to cold water and coffee at all hours!

Staff was the best! The free breakfast was unexpected. I thought they only serve continental breakfast but to my surprise, it was a whole spread! The coffee/cocoa/tea/water service in the lobby was 24 hours! Such a delight. Only disappointment is they didn’t have decaf coffee available.

Nice hotel with breakfast included. We were amazed at the options of breakfast daily. There was a variety of options daily for the family from hot to cold choices and to go boxes. Although we didn’t have a great window view from our hotel but it’s NY what do you expect!! Ha! The room was nice with a kitchenette. Friendly staff and quick service when room service was called. Definitely will stay again!

The homewood suites is a great place ro escape even if you live in the city. I loved the roof top family friendly lounge, the buffet breakast runs from 6am to 10:30am. The food was re- stocked consistently. I loved the mini kitchen in the studio suite. I went to fitness center. I had trouble with the scanning od the key to the elevator at times. My kids enjoyes this place. We will be back.

Exceptionally clean. The Check-in took three minutes. Hotel was extremely nice and well maintained. The breakfast buffet every morning was delicious and lasted until 10:30 which was wonderful fir sleeping teenagers. The staff was friendly amd helpful. It was very economical. Also there were sketchy characters that hung out on the street outside. They didn’t bother us but made late night returns with kids unnerving when they were clearly using.

The staff were friendly and parking was 55 with validation on same block. This was a decent option to get to Citi field on 7 subway line a few minutes walk to Times sq (or LiRR). Nice rooftop to bring your own food and enjoy views. Good option for 5 people traveling if 2 share beds with pull out couch
