Reviews
Guests generally appreciate the hotel's central location, close to major attractions, subway stations, and restaurants. The staff is frequently praised for being friendly, helpful, and accommodating. However, some guests express dissatisfaction with the room size, outdated decor, and minor maintenance issues. Additionally, a few guests mention noise disturbances and breakfast-related concerns.

The only negative was having the dresser fall over on our daughter. It was not secured to the wall and the drawers rolled open on their own. We are not fussy people, so we found it a minor inconvenience, but when our young daughter went to get her clothing out, the entire dresser fell over on her, crushing her toe and ripping off her toe nail which was less than ideal for a trip where we were walking miles each day. We reported it to the front desk and asked that the dresser be removed or secured to the wall. They were unconcerned. Nothing was done about the situation. They told us not to use the dresser. When we asked for a bandage to stop the bleeding on her foot they directed us to CVS. We would of course go buy bandages for further use, but it seemed crazy that a hotel doesn’t have a small first aid kit available when guest have a need. Like I said, we are not fussy, and overall we enjoyed our stay here, but their complete lack of concern over something we felt like was a safety risk was problematic.

The location is ideal. It is very close to the subway, making it easy to visit New York City attractions in Manhattan and beyond. The neighborhood was safe. The room is small, but that is to be expected for the city. Honestly, the condition of the hotel was exactly as other reviewers said it was. The building is showing its age and has signs of neglect, like peeling wallpaper. The sheets were clean though and we spent minimal time on the room. The bathroom was updated and very nice with the exception that the shower door opens out so water runs out on the floor. The AC in the room worked great and we were thankful since it was hot weather. Other reviews said the elevators were slow but we didn’t have think it was that slow. The ice machines were down except for one on the 16th floor. The breakfast provided is excellent and never an issue with seating as others mentioned. While there is no laundry onsite, the hotel clerk recommended BKM Laundromat on 9th Street. Their team was so friendly, the price was very reasonable, and they got our clothes clean and folded the very same day! Overall the positive outweigh the negative and I would stay here again.

The location is excellent. They offer free breakfast, which is a great way to save money. The staff is incredibly helpful and friendly. Overall, it’s a great experience.

If you’re looking for a great location without killing your budget this is it. It’s close to Penn Station, a couple of blocks from Macys and many restaurants. Good breakfast with good selections. The hotel itself looks tired could used a facelift. Will probably stay there again because of the location.
- 4/5
The room was a little small, but we managed with 4 of us in the room. The mattress was very firm and uncomfortable. Thr shower had a little mold in the corners, a little bleach could have went a long way. The complementary breakfast was good with several options. Coffee and tea were available all day and night. The staff were very nice and help. Marvin was incredibly sweet and made our mornings. I would stay here again. Many sights were within walking distance.
- 5/5
The staff was kind and helpful

We had two double beds- the room was fine. It was clean and comfortable. The property itself is doing some overdue renovations. The carpet in the hallways was incredibly lumpy and a trip hazard, lots of surfaces were pretty beat up. But we didn’t spend time in our room, we spent time visiting NYC. The location is good; close to Penn Station, Herald Square subway station and it’s very easy to move around Manhattan from there. The staff was friendly and helpful. Breakfast was the typical free fare (eggs, bacon, sausage, toast, cereal, etc), refilled frequently. Overall, this was a good hotel for the price and will probably be even better when their renovations are done.
- 3/5
Room was clean. Great location. It’s a great place if you are looking for something cheap. Not the prettiest, but It gets the job done. Breakfast had a good variety and plenty of seating. The housekeepers that we spoke to were very nice and helpful. The front desk was okay. Overall, pret

The breakfast was good and we could pack a few things on the way out to sightseeing The bathroom door did not lock properly and had a big gap that was visible from the room. The room was a little smaller than what I thought it would be..
- 4/5
Friendly staff. Easy check in and check out. Room size sufficient. Bed good. Bathroom very small.
- 3/5
Key cards wouldn’t work, always had to go reset them. Breakfast was okay. Overall room was clean and quiet and in a good location.
- 5/5
Only bad side but not really cause all Of New York is this way but at the begining i was a little scared of what our room might be since the elevator and hallways seemed old and run dowm but our room was amazing and well maintained no worries.
- 2/5
My room had tons of dust everywhere. The light bulbs were completely covered in dust. Very disappointing for when you think about a holiday inn.
- 5/5
They have very nice staff at the hotel that gave us water and snack when we checked in. They kept our bags at the front desk after we checked out and waited for our next flight. There is a limo service for the airport.
- 2/5
Housekeeping was also very accommodating! But here’s the negative: (for context I stood there for eight days) the breakfast (in specifically the eggs) you got me really sick. Every time I would leave my room I would have to go to the front desk so that they can reactivate my card because the card reader would not work. To a point where they have to replace the card reader itself in the room and even that didn’t work. I was not the only one with this issue. I’ve seen several people complaining about the same issue. I was late to several zoom meetings for work because I could not get in the room. The gym machines are super outdated in the front of the location was not all maintained.
- 2.5/5
Paper plates and limited variety for the cost is not value for money The location was great

There were frequently problems with the elevators. Other than that, it was great.

Well located, ac problems in the breakfast area, very nice staff, ok in general
- 3/5
Staff was friendly, but they did not have our room ready at check-in. Highlight of our stay was daily housekeeping that kept our room feeling fresh and clean. Felt great to come back after a day exploring to fresh towels and a made up bed. AC was cold. Room was quiet. We never tried the breakfast. Coffee was fine but available all day. Fairly close to subway stations. We probably wouldn’t stay here again as we don’t need to be in the middle of Manhattan the next time we visit.
- 4/5
Overall the property was average. The breakfast was good and the freshly brewed coffee was excellent.
- 4/5
Our stay overall was very enjoyable, safe, and relaxing. I noticed (as I'm sure others have) that the chairs in the breakfast area and the carpets in the rooms and hallway need to be changed/upgraded. Coffee is supposed to be available 24/7 in the breakfast area but at times the coffee machines are inoperable or not available to be used. Other than that, I would definitely come back to Holiday Inn Express in Manhattan. It's so close to everything and within steps from Noona Noodles, Hot Pot, and Michelin Award winning Techin, Souvenir shop, Pio bagel shop, Tavern, Luggage store, etc. We also really appreciate the free popcorn in the lobby and the free paper plates and utensils in the breakfast area. Staff are very helpful and courteous and provide toiletries, towels, water, etc. We love the Dove products.
- 4/5
Nice hotel, friendly staff. Our big problem was that on check-in we were given the key to another person’s room. Big security breach.

This was a a 5 nights stay for 2 in late May 2026. Upon arrival, we were greeted with multiple large trash cans in the hotel exterior overflowing with rubbish - not a nice sight! Check in was straightforward enough and friendly. But entering the lifts, you can immediately tell that the hotel is quite run down and the worse for wear, in need of renovation. Unfortunately the rooms are the same - it appears that the hotel has not been refurbished since it was built however many decades ago! The carpets need replacing and the general interior is dated. Worst of all, the rooms are TINY, me and my wife struggled with 2 large suitcases over 5 nights. The best thing about the hotel is the location which I suppose is what you're paying for. Empire State Building, New York Public Library, Times Square and Broadway are all a short walk away. There ar also multiple subway stations within short distance. Breakfast was good with a wide selection of hot and cold foods (shout out to Marvin who really looked after us!). Reception staff were unfailingly helpful and friendly and we appreciated the on demand water bottles and complimentary tea / coffee / popcorn station available 24 hours. All in we tolerated the room, enjoyed the breakfast and spent most of our time outdoors exploring NYC which is what we were there for. If you value location on a budget, with complimentary breakfast, then go for this hotel. If you want luxury then look elsewhere.
- 4/5
Very good
- 2/5
The property was very run down. Carpeting is old, stained and not even secured to the runners (aka bunched up). Had to specifically ask to have room cleaned. Phones didn’t work. Front desk didn’t speak much English. The free breakfast was mobbed every morning with a cafe that couldn’t handle the travelers. Lobby was disgustinv with broken windows and broken in sitting chairs. Go next door to the Hyatt. Much nicer property.
- 4/5
Everything was great except the breakfast left a lot to be desired. Pancakes were rubbery and inedible and sausage tasted like cardboard.
- 4/5
Breakfast was ok, not the greatest but toast, yoghurt, cereal, and cinnamon pastry were filling. Bedroom basic, bed ok, air con very much needed when we were there last wk as temperature was 36°!! Was quiet too. View amazing of the Empire state building! All in all if you are not fussy, this hotel is ok, what makes it worth it, is the position, it was in Mid Manhatten and great for walking and catching the subway to all the main attractions.

Overall, it's satisfying stay. Good and friendly staff. I noticed many Italians stayed/staying too.
- 5/5
Great housekeeping, location wonderful close to many restaurants
- 1/5
The only good thing about this hotel was the location; the breakfast was inedible (I saw a hair in the breakfast on more than one occasion), the business centre was not fit for purpose (it was in the reception area), the reception was messy and had maintenance working in there. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone.

It’s within close walking distance to many points of interest. The property and rooms were very clean & comfortable, with easy to use temperatures control. My room (1808) had a beautiful view of the Empire State Building. Breakfast was typical for a hotel and there were many grab & go items with paper lunch bags provided. The staff was incredibly friendly! I appreciated the bag storage before check in and after check out. I’ll stay here again.

Clean room and good service

During my stay at the hotel, strangers entered my room while my minor kids were on the bed watching tv. Had we not been present in the room it could have turned out terribly for us as all my cash and other valuables were on the tv stand. The persons finally agreed to leave the room and this situation was brought to management's attention. Mgt indicated it was an error on their part. Highly dissatisfied as i felt as though my family's safety and privacy was compromised.

From the moment I arrived, the staff made me feel welcome with their friendly and professional service. Check-in was smooth and efficient (under 2minutes), which set a positive tone for the rest of my stay. We arrived at 8.30am, granted access to utilize all facilities and amenities plus was able to avail of a room immediately although check in usually starts at 4pm. We were also offered complementary essentials such as toothbrush, toothpaste etc., had we been in need of same. The room was clean, spacious, and well-maintained, with comfortable bedding that made it easy to relax after a long day. Housekeeping did an excellent job each day, ensuring everything remained spotless. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for comfort, great service, and a convenient location. I would definitely consider staying here again on my next visit.
- 5/5
This was our second time to stay here. We will definitely stay here again. It is a great location. The staff is very friendly. We arrived a few hours early, and they allowed us to check in, which was greatly appreciated after traveling. The bed is very comfortable. They have coffee available 24/7.

Room was very clean and well maintained. Excellent stay, would stay there again if we went back.

Everything was perfect. The staff was super helpful.
- 5/5
Great view of the empire state building from the 19th floor! Key cards are super finicky.
- 3/5
On arrival, we were given room 501, surely the smallest hotel room in New York. We could not actually find anywhere to put our two cases!! When we complained, we were offered what we were told was an accessible room which was more roomy. Next morning there was no hot water in the hotel for a shower - we were told that a workman on the roof had cut through something!! We couldn’t even contact reception as the phones in our room weren’t working!! The breakfast was ok but no more, far too many people making it hard to find a seat/table. Food selection was average to say the least. Best thing was coffee available most of the time. We won’t be visiting here again, indeed a post cruise stay in ten days time has been cancelled. Beware if you’re thinking about this place.
- 5/5
Ac was faulty our room view outside the window had trash on s fire escape, the breakfast was subpar, and the tv’s were older and our stopped working. This hotel is dated and I wouldn’t recommend it. We changed hotels after 1 night.
- 3/5
Hotel looked tired and in need of refurbishment. Room water pressure was very low. We expected better from Holiday Inn.
- 3/5
Condition of hotel is poor, linens were clean and comfortable, breakfast variety was good, staff was helpful lobby, elevators and carpet was not clean and in poor condition, revolving door was broken, room keys didn't work 1/2 the time.
- 4/5
Staff was super, breakfast was above average for hotel breakfast, although sometimes hard to get a table to sit. Interior of the rooms needs a serious update. Carpet old, mattresses saggy, burn mark on a piece of furniture. Bathroom seems updated, but water pressure and hot water affected by nearby use. Lobby chairs need replacing too. A bit of investment and it would be great. Location was super.

The room was clean, the staff were friendly enough. Breakfast was typical of Holiday Express. The down sides - Furniture is VERY warn to the point that it gave an initial vibe of being unclean until you realized it was just thread bare and in great need of updating. If you are looking for somewhere clean - not a bad option. The location was ok but I think it was a noisier part of the city. I have stayed by Penn Station before and that was quieter. It is close to all the hyped tourist spots so we enjoyed that.
- 5/5
A very good hotel, centrally located on Tin Square, with a good breakfast and very attentive staff. I recommend it.

Ideal location. Good breakfast

Free breakfast was great during our stay, many options to choose from. The hotel is a bit dated but clean. Some things didn’t work like all but one ice machine in the building were out of order and a couple of the lights in our room but not a big deal. Was very close to walking around midtown and the sights.

Fast service, fast elevators, and nice room. Only issue was out of 3 ice machines, only one working. Oh and the low battery in the smoke detector beep (or something that sounded like it) in the hallway was unfortunate. Not a big deal though. Nice stay and really great location.

We loved everything! The staff was amazing and so helpful during our entire trip! They helped print out maps for us and routes to get around the city. We enjoyed the delicious breakfast every morning. The rooms felt breathable and comfortable; we expected tighter spaces as it was NYC. I will definitely come again! We want to thank the staff for having our rooms so clean. Also, make sure to visit the fitness room! - very convenient.

Fresh brewed coffee 24/7; breakfast was pretty packed, but everything was layer out fresh, with fruits, juice and yogurts offered as well. Staff was amazing, housekeeping service daily. Everything I wanted at an affordable price in Manhattan.

The staff were very helpful and friendly. The property is older and the room was small but you’re in NYC and will most likely only sleep in the room so perfect if that’s all you need. This location is close to many stores, food places and subways.

Great value for money. Excellent location. Free full hot breakfast. Bed was comfy, we all slept well. Would definitely stay here again. Stuff to know beforehand: no parking at hotel but several parking garages nearby, you’re in a noisy city - hotel guests were quiet but lots of honking/sirens from the street, only 2 elevators so be prepared to wait during peak times.
- 4/5
The room itself was okay. We stayed for 4 nights and 5 days. The most frustrating part was the key card not working every time we needed to go back into our room. They gave us 2 and both didn’t work (I went to the front desk every night to get it fixed). It wasn’t until the last night when the guy told us that the card gets demagnetized easily and asked “did no one tell you that?” And i let him “no” but it is frustrating that no one relayed that info during check in. Water from shower would leak on the bathroom floor too. We did receive a dirty towel that looked like someone’s make up stained it. We did like that the hotel was close to Time Square, 5th avenue & subway station to get around. Free breakfast was a plus too! Air conditioning and heating up the room was easy to use.
- 5/5
Staff was friendly and aways welcoming. Property was clean. Under repair but not noisy.
- 5/5
The housekeeping was excellent. We were pleasantly surprised to find that the room was cleaned daily. The breakfast was typical of a Continental-style breakfast, featuring cereals, hot plates, drinks, a variety of bakery items, and enough to keep you energized for a few hours. The location of the hotel is super convenient, walking distances to most upper town amenities: Time Square, Rockefeller Center, Empire State Building, Penn station, High Line etc. With two elevators only for a 19 store hotel didn't make us feel wasting time while waiting for it, pretty quick to and from. No early check-in available, even at 3:59PM, maybe just our luck to be there during school vacations
- 4/5
The mattress was a little stiff for what I normally prefer but I’d still stay there again.

The staff was amazing. They were able to answer our questions and help us figure out what to do or how to get where we were going. They are kind and sweet. If you need something they will get it for you or help you figure out how to get it. We also received complimentary waters when arriving, plus they have a fill up station and coffee/tea available 24/7. Breakfast at the hotel was perfect. As a family of 4 needing to eat before a busy day, it was one less meal we had to worry about. They also have breakfast on the go (we grabbed a gronala bar to throw in our bag for later). The rooms are small but you don't spend much time in them if your doing New York City right. We used the breakfast area after coming back from being out and about to enjoy a pastry, get a cup of coffee or just play a card game before heading up to bed. The rooms temperature was perfect and the shower was a decent size and didn't have any issues with hot and cold water. My only complete was the lighting in the room. It was pretty dim, but we left the curtains closed the whole time. We would come back.
- 4/5
A small but functional room in the busiest part of Times Square NY city. We chose this hotel as they offered FREE WI FI which worked just fine, FREE daily breakfast that has many food choices and we could take a paper bag up to our room too. The staff was very nice, but brush off your Spanish as most of the cleaning and maintenance staff are Spanish speakers. The front desk does have English speakers. Everyone was NICE, and helpful. There is a very nice part time Conceige on Sundays. He gave us a list of must see places and was fun to talk with. The down side of this hotel is that is very "beat up". The carpets are stretched out leaving possible trip hazards. The wood on the doors are weather beaten and the entire place has a sad tired look. Time for a refresh. An excellent choice for convenience to the subway and buses, places to see. The prices were inline with the venue (ie a lot higher than small towns, but resonable for NY City).
- 5/5
Can not say enough good things about this place! We had an AMAZING stay after a horrible first night in another hotel, when we got here it was a breath of fresh air, everyone was nice, understanding & location is 10/10, view is 10/10 hotel is 10/10, I recommend 1000 times. Picture is of the view :)

The room and other areas were always neat and clean. The only complaint I would have is that the cleaning staff help up the elevators often, causing some wait time. I would suggest keep one elevator only for guest at all times, so there would be less wait time for guess trying to make it to a show on time ( just an example of why being on time is important). The staff, however, was always very friendly. Especially the breakfast room staff.
- 5/5
Nothing, everything was good.
- 5/5
Everything was very clean and well kept for our week long stay. The hotel itself is being renovated on other floors we were told, but it didn't interfere with our stay at all. The front desk staff was very welcoming and quite nice. Security was present in the evening in the lobby, but we never felt an ounce of fear during our entire stay. Our room attendant took great care of our room and everything was well stocked. We made use of the dining room area in the evening only for reheating our leftovers and it was always very clean as well. We'd stay here again, no apprehension at all. The hotel isn't brand new, but certainly fulfilled our needs.
- 4/5
Loved having the water and coffee stations always accessible. Some things in the room could be updated/refinished but nothing that made such a big difference it bothered us. The hotel as a whole was a great pick and good location!

The staff was courteous and helpful, accommodated all our needs. The hotel was clean. We stayed in a double bed room and one of the beds had the worst mattress, literally slanting to one side, as if an elephant or some extremely heavy set person had slept on it. And I am not exaggerating.
- 0.5/5
Location was good. otherwise It was the dirtiest place I’ve ever stayed. The sink in the bathroom was clogged. Absolutely filthy, shower floods the floor. Unacceptable and disgusting. Overbooked so we got the room over the outdoor smokers and the no smoking room might as well have had someone chain smoking until 4 am. They serve breakfast but it fills up and you can’t get food anyway. Certainly count on going out not eating here. You can’t even get coffee without standing in a line.

Still a good place to stay specially for the price. Great service and very nice customer service
- 4/5
Great location. Friendly staff. Good breakfast. Decor could use some refreshing. Overall good value for the money.
- 5/5
Breakfast was quick and convenient. Staff was helpful and kept our luggage so we could enjoy NYC! I would return to stay
- 4/5
Excellent location, friend team members on front desk, room was well appointed along with bathroom both immaculately clean and breakfast was amble to start your day
- 1/5
Horrible and old shower with a chair ! Not necessary Asked for a water bottle lobby girl was rude for no reason just for asking for a water bottle due to hot having on vending machines.
- 2/5
The hallway carpet was dirty. Our room didn’t get clean one day. Only towels were replaced. The dresser was old.The kitchen staff had no personality. At 9:30 they would start removing all the food, while still eating taking empty plates and cups of your table. I didn’t like while stilling eating someone coming around with a garbage bag taking items off the table!
- 5/5
Staff: Female receptionist in the morning seemed bothered we even asked about early check. Not impressed with her customer service. Did not share hours or option we had for continental breakfast, we found out from another guest. Other receptionist staff were friendly and welcoming. Recommendation: provide customer service training especially to AM staff, seemed overwhelmed and annoyed.

The location of the hotel, the staff and breakfast was amazing. The hotel is a little outdated. The city view room is a view of hotels and other buildings with one of them being the empire state building so if you're looking for an actual street view of the city this hotel doesn't offer that.
- 2/5
Breakfast was terrible.
- 5/5
Perfect stay for a first time NYC visitor! Staff was very nice and helpful, Tiffany comes to mind! Would recommend as a place to stay.
- 3/5
everyone was very friendly and helpful facilities were clean but a little outdated
- 5/5
We had a great stay in this hotel. Close to everything. We’ll definitely stay here again and recommend to my friends and family.
- 5/5
Clean room overall with helpful staff members who will address issues for you quickly. Free breakfast is basic and only serve up to 9:30 AM, but it at least has some hot food and does change from day to day slightly.
- 5/5
What a great find. This Express hotel was ideal in all ways - especially for the cost. Whilst not the most elegant and public areas need maybe some updating the hotel offered our weeks visit to NY everything. Breakfast was superb - coffee avail all day too ! Helpful staff and the location was ideal for the whole city. Room was so clean and great. Water provided too with all needed amenities - bathroom, hairdryer etc. As always Hotel.com publish correct information. Recommended in all ways - especially with value for money.
- 4/5
Just fine. But receptionists were great. Bad housekeeping services.
- 4/5
The room was small, but was to be expected for the area. The hotel is old & definitely would benefit from new carpet & furniture, but it worked for our needs & was clean. The continental breakfasts were good & had a nice variety each day. The location was also perfect & within walking distance to a lot of attractions.
- 4/5
After arriving to the hotel for the day we found our door prompt open. The HSKP was there replacing Towels, took the trash however she did not make the bed.
- 5/5
Everything was excellent. Bathroom shower door would leak water and you can tell by the water damage to the bathroom door that it’s been like that for a while. Other than that our stay was great and the staff was excellent. And the bagel shop next door is in fact the best in nyc.
- 5/5
The breakfast it was really good, clean room, the staff was very friendly and helpful!
- 5/5
Great staff, breakfast and location.
- 0.5/5
the restaurant next door the wheelchair bathroom. Totally slippery, and the handheld shower is disgusting and very awkward to use. We should have been given a choice at check-in. Unfortunately, I found out at 5 am.

Need to improve facility.
- 4/5
Excellent staff, the included breakfast is a plus.
- 5/5
Great location a good price clean room everyday free breakfast only bad thing room is too small and bed didn’t feel like a queen

- 5/5
Breakfast was nice and location is the best for traveling around New York City.
- 4/5
The hotel was conveniently located, clean and the staff were nice and helpful. Having a hot breakfast each morning was a plus. Will definitely consider this location my next trip to NY.
- 1/5
The hotel was undergoing renovations, which caused a lot of noise. We couldn't sleep because of the noise.
- 5/5
The staff was very kind. The Hotel Very clean. Excellent breakfast. I would stay again.
- 3/5
The staff were very unfriendly, especially those in the breakfast buffet area; they didn't even say good morning and they threw things around in a very distasteful way.
- 5/5
Great. Excellent location, awesome breakfast. The best was the crew
- 5/5
Rooms were small but The restaurant and bar was superb!!!
- 2/5
Staff is friendly and the complimentary breakfast was good. The hotel is old and needs remodeling ASAP! My room felt dirty all the time even after maintenance did the cleanup, the carpet looks awful and for a city like NY it’s the worst idea to have one in the room. Walls were chipped, furniture was messed up. I for one won’t be considering this place ever again. It’s a shame because it’s really well located and with a lot of restaurants and stores. The worst part was that we needed to change our son’s diaper after checkout and the bathroom they had was extremely filthy and the other one didn’t have a changing table.
- 5/5
It’s great
- 5/5
Our stay was great- the staff is very nice - hotel is well maintained and the room was nice - it’s small but nice. Just enough for a quick weekend get away.
- 4.5/5
The staff was very professional and kind. Facility was clean, daily house keeping, close proximity to many attractions. There’s no microwave or refrigerator is my only complaint.

Staff was friendly and helpful and an amazing breakfast selection! Perfect walking distance to everything!
- 3/5
We left our luggage and explored the city, then returned at 4:30 PM—only to be told the room was still not ready. We ended up waiting in the lobby until about 5:30 PM before we could finally check in, which was frustrating after a long travel day. As for cleanliness, everything looked fine at first glance, but the bathroom counters were sticky and dirty, which was disappointing. Breakfast was decent, but the dining area was uncomfortably cold during winter. My coffee went cold within minutes. If it feels like 14°F inside, there’s really no benefit to eating indoors. A heater or better temperature control would make a big difference. Overall, the location is good, but the lack of communication, delayed check-in, cleanliness issues, and cold breakfast area took away from the experience.
- 5/5
Very clean comfortable room, staff was amazing and good breakfast
- 5/5
Staff at the hotel is super friendly, they let us checked in earlier at no cost, the room was spotless.
- 5/5
Good breakfast, check in early! Nice staff. 10 min Walking to Times Square

No puedo evaluar un lugar al que no pude llegar por cierre del espacio aéreo, no ha habido nada de empatía en reagendar o devolver dinero de un servicio NO utilizado.
- 4/5
We stayed for 6 days so the menu was about the same. But the location was great!
- 4/5
Man at the front desk was very friendly & pleasant. Young lady never greeted us. She was on her phone and looking down. Room was always clean when we returned. Thank you house keeping. You ladies do not go unnoticed. Would come back.

Clean rooms, great location, great breakfast. Would stay again
- 3/5
The hotel is old, the area under the beds had not been cleaned, the room was very small, and there was no refrigerator or microwave, unlike all the Holiday hotels I have stayed at.
- 5/5
All very nice and friendly. Breakfastwas great.
- 1/5
I would recommend staying somewhere else. We have been lifelong customers of Holiday Inn Express and this one wasn’t the same. It felt rundown, every single element from the room to the elevators. However, my biggest complaint is that we had to leave suddenly for an emergency and were told we had to pay for one night, however they were going to refund one night. After getting home, they took it back and refused the refund. So unprofessional and disappointing.

Room keys never worked. We kept having to get new ones reprogrammed and they still didn’t work. Engineer came twice to look at door. 5 different hotel staff members blew me off regarding this. We kept having to go up and down from 18 floor to get new keys
- 5/5
Good location, superior customer service
- 2/5
The breakfast was very poor. The food lacked flavor and variety, and everything tasted bland. It felt more like a requirement to offer breakfast than an effort to provide a good experience for guests. The customer service was disappointing. Staff did not seem attentive or proactive when issues were reported. The most frustrating part was the housekeeping service. We requested a refill of the body wash, were told it would be sent, and waited over an hour with no response. In the end, I had to go down to the lobby ourselves to get the soap, which is unacceptable for a hotel of this category. The location is good, but service quality and basic guest care need serious improvement.
- 4/5
The AC unit fan sounded like chirping birds, the sink drain was busted, but other than that, standard hotel things. It sucks that there are no refrigerators in the room though. Breakfast was meh and so crowded after 7:30. The second room to eat in was also freeeeeeezing cold and unpleasant to sit in. Staff was great. Area felt safe. I’d stay here again.
- 5/5
Location and the staff is so friendly

Overall- a great experience-would stay here again- really nice and helpful staff should add!

The room was too cold at night. Room temp was set low when I checked in. It was 64 degrees F and it was cold for me. I came from a town near Boston, so I am used to cold and even colder than NYC. But indoors, I like a warm house that I don’t need to wear a jacket or thick sweater. I should be able to enjoy that same warmth in a hotel I paid for. I had to leave for a Christmas Eve party, but I wanted to come back to a warm room, so I adjusted the thermostat. The fan was set high and it was blowing cold air. I set it to low. I bumped the heat using the thermostat but instead of it going up, the room temp even went down to 62 by the time I came back after midnight. The hottest setting of the shower wasn’t even hot enough that I could feel relief from my cold back from being outside. I like a good steam shower. The room became colder. I was so tired so I just wore my jacket and outdoor wool socks. I should’ve asked the management but I dislike having anyone coming over my room in the middle of the night. In the morning the temp went back to 64 and bearable with the sun. I left before noon and in a rush so I forgot to tell management. But I checked the thermostat and tried to set the room 74 temp. I came back late night and the shower was better. But around past midnight, it became colder. I put on my coat! My stay was only two nights but I wish the room thermostat was working. Room temp stayed either 63 or 64 - It’s cold. What I only like was the front desk staff - good service.

Hotel staff was friendly and helpful. Location was great as well. Carpet needs to be replaced and our bathroom door showed signs of water damage.

Ultimately, this is a cozy place to stay. Bed was comfortable and the staff was friendly. Water pressure was good and the heat works well. Downsides: My toilet was running for one day at the top of the trip. Engineer made 2 trips before it was fixed. Also, I asked for a new hair dryer. That was never swapped out. And one day out of my 6 day stay, housekeeping did not come to make up the room even though I asked specifically at the front desk on my way out that afternoon. Overall - good (not great) experience.

- 4/5
Appreciated varied breakfast items, including omelets and yogurt. Freshly brewed coffee too. Multiple issues with card reader on my door. Facility could use an upgrade/updates. Overall, satisfied.
- 2/5
The room was incredibly hot. The furnace had no source to just be set at a certain temperature. It was either 90 degrees (even though I had it at 68) or I had to turn it off completely to cool down the room because I was getting sick from being overheated. So I’d have it on, the room would get so hot and then I’d have to turn it off and I’d wake up in the middle of the night to a room that was 43 degree and freezing. I never got more than 4 hours of sleep. I asked the front desk for a different room but was told they were fully booked. No maintenance was offered. To have to pay 700.00 to sleep in a room where I was freezing all night or so hot I thought I was going the throw up, just didn’t see right. I’d like a refund.
- 5/5
Would absolutely stay here again
- 3/5
Small room but we expected that in the area. Breakfast was pretty crowded and not a lot of options
- 5/5
Very Clean
- 3/5
The TV was not in working order, the maintenance man was unable to fix so we were able to move to another room. The room was dated, in need of repairs. Needless to say we were surprised how dated the room was. The breakfast was nice but not enough tables, we had to sit in a cold area that was an add on. No heat. The elevator worked well. Staff was nice. It would be nice to have the entire hotel refurbished.. definitely needs the aesthetics
- 5/5
Manny in the breakfast room was very helpful. The people at the front desk were very kind. Excellent place to stay as it was near all the places we wanted to go.
- 4/5
Everything was great.
- 4/5
It was ok. Great location. Rooms need a refresh and triple pain windows.
- 5/5
Staff was great! Location was great! Hotel appeared older in some areas but rooms very clean!
- 5/5
Central location, very clean, comfy beds.
- 5/5
Rooms were immaculate Excellent location
- 1/5
1) Bathroom door did not completely close! Unacceptable 2) Dresser was so BROKEN that the drawers were unusable!! 3) Had to get keys rekeyed each time we got back to room as they did NOT work from previous time. Had to do it 4 times in one day!! 4) Shower door leaked 5) Lamp on desk was strobing This hotel was very expensive and we were SHOCKED to find the condition of the room. They decided they could NOT repair any of the issues and offered to move us to a different room multiple days into our stay if we could do so in 15 minutes - which we could not. They offered a slightly reduced rate during the chaos but then attempted to avoid fulfilling the offer during checkout. Overall, the worst hotel experience we have ever had and we travel often. Do NOT stay here if you can avoid it!
- 5/5
Nice room. Friendly, helpful staff. Room cleaned daily. Complimentary water, coffee, tea 24/7. Tasty complimentary breakfast. Lovely view of the Empire State Building from our room was the best!
- 5/5
Staff at reception were brilliant
- 4/5
Staff were really friendly and helpful. Great breakfast options. Position is ideal round the corner from Macys and with access to a multitude of subway lines.
- 5/5
The only bad thing I have is the breakfast was really cold out there. Maybe some heat out would be nice.
- 4/5
In a spot walkable to Times Square. Busy area and you have to park in public lot close by. While rooms were a little outdated, the rooms were nice and clean. Great hotel staff.

Basic hotel. Small room. Good location.

Great staff and a fab location.
- 4/5
Staff was very helpful both at checkin and checkout. Breakfast and 24 hour coffee offerings were very convenient. Location was great. Only thing keeping it from a 5 was the mattresses were firmer than we would have liked.
- 5/5
Great staff, just wished the beds were more comfortable. Overall, great stay.
- 5/5
Beds need upgrade
- 5/5
Excellent location and service as well. Very clean

The staff is very friendly and helpful. Breakfast is great.
- 5/5
everything was great. Will stay here the next we go to New York.
- 5/5
Clean room, staff, free breakfast
- 5/5
The central location and provided breakfast were great. Lots of food options nearby, very close to transit. We went to the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade and only had to go about a block to find a spot. We left the hotel at 6:15 to set up for the parade and were in the second row - if doing it again I’d try to get out the door by at least 5:30.
- 5/5
Staff was super friendly & nice, they were able to accommodate an earlier check-in.
- 4/5
Central location in Manhattan. Good breakfast. The bathroom needs a thorough overhaul though. Toilet kept running and there was a (small) leak in the shower.
- 4/5
The property was nice and clean and very accessible to everything. Couldn’t ask for nothing better
- 4/5
Room was clean and comfortable bed,but on the small size but was ok.Breakfast was pretty good with lots of choice.Mani was really helpful, making us feel welcome and giving us lots of tips on where to go and how etc.
- 5/5
Great service. Really good breakfast, nice view, good room.
- 4/5
Close to all the things, accessible, convenient, quiet
- 4/5
Rooms are a bit run down, but were very clean. The staff was incredibly friendly, helpful, and clearly knew their stuff/the area.
- 5/5
Room very clean, comfortable beds, easy check in, good breakfast selection.
- 5/5
Location was great. Room was cleaned daily. Staff were awesome. Big shout out to Ronald for your friendliness and always having a smile
- 5/5
Great location with tons of walkable spots to sightsee and restaurants to dine in.
- 3/5
However, we were disappointed that the room we received did not match what we booked. I reserved and paid for a room with a king-size bed, but we were given a queen-size instead. As a tall, large individual, sharing a smaller bed with my wife was uncomfortable, and neither of us slept well during the three nights we were there. Comfortable sleep is a major part of any hotel stay, and this issue significantly affected our overall experience. We would have appreciated better communication, a room that matched the booking, or an adjustment to make up for the discrepancy, especially since this was confirmed when we made the reservation. Outside of that issue, the hotel was clean, conveniently located near restaurants and public transportation, and offered a decent breakfast selection for guests on the go. Housekeeping staff were polite and respectful when we interacted with them. While we truly appreciated the kindness of the staff, we don’t believe we will return because our request and the room type paid for was not honored.
- 5/5
Always helpful, always clean, always friendly
- 5/5
Perfect location and very friendly and accommodating staff. Would stay again
- 5/5
the room was neat and the desk staff was helpful in helping us get around and see sights. the complimentary breakfast was better than expected.
- 5/5
We stayed here for a week with kids. The area around the hotel felt very safe and there were lots of places to eat nearby. The hotel is in such a great area for sightseeing. It’s super close to subway entrances making it easy to get around. The staff was super friendly and attentive, especially Marvin in the dining area. The breakfast was good every day and had lots of different options. Beds were very comfy and the room was clean. Would totally stay here again!
- 3/5
Rooms are small and outdated but one of cheaper hotels in area. Outside of building currently under repair. Front door not working correctly either.
- 3/5
Was good though need renovations
- 3/5
The room was fine (though cold and the heating unit didn't work). The common areas are very tired, though.
- 5/5
Bed was comfortable, room was clean, Breakfast was decent and included. So I’d stay again.
- 5/5
Room spotless, staff very helpful and friendly. Breakfast plenty choice for buffet style. Would stay again.
- 4/5
Staff was great, breakfast was very good. Hotel itself was outdated and a little dirty, but it did the job. Rooms small but okay
- 3/5
Friendly and helpful staff Reasonably priced for the area Breakfast was varied. My only complaint is the hot food was cold. Room had 3 issues: 1- Bed was extremely soft and caused back issues. 2- shower door was heavy and had to be lifted to close as it was misaligned. 3- Key cards kept getting de-activated and had to re-activate every day (even when keeping away from other cards and magnet).
- 3/5
Room was a standard 3* so in that respect I was satisfied because I knew before I booked I was booking a 3* hotel. I had to request shower gel because the container was empty during my stay which is not good because that should have been a standard daily chec by the room maids. Other than that it was what I expected.
- 5/5
The Hotel staff was professional & friendly. The staff allowed me to check in early.
- 3/5
It was a great stay, minor improvements can be made but overall stay was great.

- 5/5
it was an awesome stay. everyone had a great attitude. i have worked for a couple of hotels and it can be a challenging job. this staff was friendly and efficient. highly recommended!
- 4/5
The hotel is pretty basic but clean and the location is unbeatable. A great location for visiting lots of different areas of the city.
- 3/5
At the breakfast it was ok. The eggs looked like just chopped egg whites. There was bacon so I got by.
- 5/5
Breakfast was always fresh ,excellent staff
- 1/5
For starters phone in room did not work. Couldn’t imagine what would happen if there was an emergency traveling with 2 children! Then I was told to text them and no response til hours later. And it just went downhill from there, room had no fridge, I was told one could be provided then it never happened. One of my children has to drink special milk that has to stay refrigerated. Then the room was NEVER cleaned, I had to go to the from desk and ask for room service, and when they came they made us feel like we were a bother, and refused to clean the room while we were in there, after not coming the 10 hours we were gone for the day. Just disrespectful, and the front desks responses was that they were fully booked. Like if once again we were an inconvenience. Room was handicap, smelled like smoke and mildew, dresser was broken. Wish we booked a different location, very disappointing.

Location, clean room

Perfect place to stay for walking distance to all the main sites and Penn Station. Staff was friendly and room was comfortable. We would stay here again!

- 4/5
Negatives: Room was small (as expected), furnishings are dated
- 4/5
The key card was intermittent sometimes had to try several times to open the door, and the internet was difficult to get on to. But the staff were excellent, and the breakfast was superior. Cleanliness was good but once they finished our room while we were at supper. But it was done every day and done well.
- 5/5
Very nice and friendly people. Im happy with the room and the service
- 4/5

- 3/5
The breakfast was nasty, powder eggs limited seating.
- 5/5
overall very good experience!
- 4/5
Good clean every day I loved that, friendly staff, only The shower had problems, the water from the shower came out to the outside of the bathroom even with the shower doors closed.
- 4/5
Sadly, the whole place needs some TLC as it's a little dated and bashed now, but overlook this and it's a good base for the city. The only real negative is that it's not very soundproof so we could hear lots of external noise as it's on quite a busy street (luckily I travel with earplugs so it wasn't too much if an issue). Special shout-out to the happy chap who kept the breakfast room clean and tidy, he was always a bright start to our day!
- 3/5
As far as the property itself, it is in rough shape. My first room had very visible mold around the shower - it was disgustung. The front desk was apologetic and quickly changed my room. The new room had fresh caulk in the same shower areas where my other room’s shower had mold - not sure what was underneath caulk. The shower door didn’t shut completely. The A/C did not work well - thank goodness the window opened to cool things off. A/C in fitness center wasn’t working - and both treadmills had issues with speed buttons not working properly. I have stayed at Holiday Inn Express hotels before, but never one so in need of repairs. Guests and the hotel staff deserve better!
- 4/5
The staff was friendly , the rooms nicely cleaned , good shopping and food
- 5/5
After checkin instead of the balance the full amount was charged to my card (though we had paid a deposit). Thankfully the bank called to verify. When I asked the person who was at the reception he denied and what he said did not make sense. He could not get the balance breakdown correct. Think he was confused as we were paying half in card and rest in cash. But he made it like we can’t get the calculation correct. Don’t think he actually understood. Anyway we didn’t think too much of it. Overall we had a good stay.
- 2/5
Good location. Very small rooms, loose charging ports, damp and muggy.
- 3/5
Hotel location was great, room was okay. A/c unit squeaked constantly and the king size bed was not a true king size. Could’ve been cleaner as well.
- 5/5
We have no complaints - enjoyed our stay here very much and it is affordable compared to almost every other midtown Manhattan hotel. NOTE - there is another Holiday Inn Express Times Square-North, which I think has not gotten very good reviews. This was the Times Square-South hotel we stayed at.

Location ! Centrally located. Easy subway rides to other NY destinations and very walkable. Room was clean, staff very helpful. Breakfast had a good variety. Sam the general manager was very helpful. Thank you for a pleasant stay.
- 4/5
The best thing about this place is that it is very close to everything. Hotel staffs are nice too.
- 4/5
Close proximity to Times Square, dining and subway.
- 4/5
I emailed the hotel twice before staying however I received no reply which was disappointing. Breakfast was just adequate for the price we paid. I didn't like the fact that paper plates were used. Cutlery was plastic throwaway which is not eco friendly at all. Breakfast room too small for number of guests.

- 4/5
Friendly helpful staff.
- 5/5
Daily Room service and well maintained , staff were nice and breakfast was limited options but it was good and shops and all the famous visiting places near by walkable and all shops are near by. Only the one thing could be improved is the space in the room and refrigerator.
- 3/5
Scaffolding, garbage bins allover. Enough shopping places, dinning. Steps from Time Square and Empire.
- 2/5
The AC did not work properly. Every day I have problem with key it was not working. Staff is fine. Cleaning is fine.

Good breakfast
- 5/5
Water in room each day. Great stay thank you
- 5/5
Very nice all around, it could use some fixing of the property
- 5/5
The fire alarm in my room went off because I was ironing and when I tried to call the front desk the phone didn’t work. I went to the front desk and they said that the fire alarms go off sometimes and the phones don’t work in a lot of the rooms. I thought it was unusual.

Good, hot breakfast with lots of choices, nice rooms (though small), good location in Manhattan.
- 5/5
Friendly staff, close to everything including amazing bagel shop next door
- 5/5
free breakfast was the star if the show 😁
- 5/5
Amazing staff
- 5/5
Great location
- 3/5
The staff were really good especially the front desk and housekeeping. But the bathroom is not good. Every time we took shower there’s leakage of water and flooded on the floor. They said they would fix it but they never did. Money is not worth what we paid for. They should have given us a bigger place with no bathroom problem. A little disappointed!!!
- 5/5
Room could have been cleaner, but besides that all was great
- 4/5
The key cards didn’t work. We had them replaced and we still had problems getting into the room.
- 5/5
Everything was good except there is no microwave or refrigerador in the rooms.
- 5/5
Wonderful location- close to attractions and the subway. Hotel was clean and quiet despite the hustle and bustle outside.
- 5/5
Free breakfast was great! Staff was very nice.
- 5/5
Great hospitality and staff is very professional and friendly
- 2/5
The hotel was clearly showing its age; the wallpaper was coming off, our bathroom door had mold on the top and was difficult to close, and the carpet was old and about to come off. We stayed 4 nights there, and while our room did the job, it could have been much better.
- 4/5
Excellent location. Breakfast was ok, room for improvement
- 5/5
Property was a great location to penn station, grand central and very walkable to wverything you could dream of in midtown. Safe, clean, and quiet.
- 4/5
Great location! Nice staff. The thing I don’t like is the air conditioner is noisy and too close to the bed.
- 5/5
An overall great experience.
- 5/5
Excellent location, incredibly friendly and helpful staff, nice breakfast options, and the cleanest rooms of any hotel I've stayed in. The rooms are also very nice in size with lovely windows/light and air options. It's a terrific hotel from the amenities to the staff - highly recommend!
- 1/5
Very uncooperative and inflexible, they initially offered something and did not follow through. Stay at another hotel, not this one.
- 3/5
I went to the tennis US open and the TV would not cover the US open. Although ESPN2 was listed. Asked the reception and they are useless
- 4/5
Room key was not working most of the time. I was staying in 7th floor and need to come to first floor to get it fixed multiple times. Staying 3 nights and it’s the most frustrating thing. Everything else was good.
- 5/5
fantastic
- 4/5
Hotel was in a great location close to many subway stops, restaurants, and shops just as most other hotels in Manhattan. This hotel room and bathroom were both extremely small, just a bit larger than a cruise ship cabin. Breakfast was decent but the dining space was lacking, it was very difficult to move around to get food and even more difficult to find a table where you can eat your breakfast. The worst part for us is that they don't have a mini fridge in the rooms. The AC was cold but it was blowing directly on me as I lie in the bed. So we will be staying at a different hotel next time we come to NYC.
- 4/5
Great location, accesible. Easy check in. Breakfast was good.
- 5/5
The property was in a primo location. Easy to walk to all midtown sites and the Herald Sq line was on the corner and easy to access. The breakfast was delicious and the beds were comfortable. I would stay here again.

Excellent location. Very convenient for visitors to NYC!
- 3/5
There a bar right next door so if you get a room on the lower floors it can b e quite loud. Just bring some ear plugs and you’ll do just fine. It’s NY. Overall great location, lots of food options, close to Times Square and Penn station.but just far enough away. Easy walk. Rooms were clean and fulfilled the job.
- 4/5
Good location
- 3/5
The 10th floor in front of our room is damp and smell like sour milk. The toilet water constantly running...noisy.
- 5/5
Good Breakfast, as well as close to Penn station. Time Square.
- 5/5
- Good breakfast - Good customer service especially the welcome bag-grab and go filled with snacks, sweet and water. That was - fantastic and unique - less expensive and easy check in and out
- 5/5
The property is in a great area and amazing staff. The property needs to work on the elevators take a long time and hot. Lobby area was also hot.
- 4/5
The hotel was in a convenient location and the buffet breakfast selection was good.

We stayed at the Holiday Inn Express Manhattan and had a mix of positives and negatives. The Good: • The location is excellent — very central and within walking distance to most of the attractions we wanted to see, including the Big Bus stop. • The staff were wonderful — friendly, welcoming, and always helpful. This was honestly the best part of our stay. • The hotel gave us a welcome bag with chips and candy, which our kids really enjoyed. • Breakfast was pretty good every morning, with a nice variety to start the day. • The Wi-Fi worked well and was fast. • The hotel feels family-friendly, and we saw many other families with kids staying there. The Not-So-Good: • The property feels cramped — the hallways, elevators, and rooms were small and tight. • Our room had a musty smell, which wasn’t pleasant. • The area around the hotel often smelled strongly of marijuana, which made stepping outside less enjoyable. • Although advertised as pet-friendly, we didn’t see any pets during our stay. Overall: This Holiday Inn Express is a good choice if you want a central location, friendly staff, and a family-friendly atmosphere. However, expect smaller spaces and some issues with room freshness and the surrounding area.

I found this as one of the cheapest places to stay in manhattan, but i doubt i will come back.
- 5/5
I had an amazing stay! From the proximity to food, shopping, attractions and subway to the friendly front desk staff!! I arrived at 8 am and was able to leave my luggage and explore the city until my room was ready. Check in was a breeze. Received a welcome bag with water, candy, cookies and chips. 2 more bottles of water were in the room. Breakfast was provided every day. The water was nice and hot like I love it (so much so that the steam set off the fire alarm….oops) I was able to get a late check out and store my luggage until it was time for me to head to the airport. Forgot my cell phone charger and the front desk had it ready and waiting for me to pick up. I cannot say enough good things about the hotel. I will definitely book another stay for next month.

Ok
- 5/5
Near a lot of atracctions
- 5/5
I would definitely recommend this hotel for families as the breakfast is also excellent. Will definitely stay there again.
- 3/5
Only one piece of equipment worked in the gym and the air didnt work so it was uncomfortable to workout. The location was nice and conveniently near several mass transport stations.
- 1/5
Initially, they provided the wrong room, which was not even set up, and it was dirty, indicating a lack of synchronization between the front desk and the operations team. Once I got the new room, the landline never worked, and they said they were aware of the issue but did nothing to resolve it during my 2-day stay. Just get some other hotel, guys!
- 2/5
However...the AC leaked so badly there was a growing puddle on the floor. The room itself wasn't clean when we arrived and the cleaning staff was rude and neglectful.
- 4/5
Room was fine

The room was very clean, very good breakfast and excellent stuff.

The only problem was the humidity in the room

Wonderful hotel with friendly staff. Close to many attractions and train station.
- 5/5
Everything excellent.
- 5/5
Nice location and breakfast
- 4/5
Fine for what it was, there was some sort of construction going on so the entrance was in a bit of disarray, and one of the nights there was a lot of construction noise keeping me awake. Overall decent experience. Staff was good.
- 3/5
Staff, breakfast, and location were great.
- 5/5
Nice breakfast in the morning, fresh options, and very friendly and helpful staff. We would definitely stay again.
- 3/5
It was a gopd hotel for being so close to all the tourist places. Breakfast was amazing each morning. Rooms and halls were a bit run down and in need of some repair. The carpet was buckled and there were wet spots in our room by the window. I think water was leaking in. I was impressed that we didn't hear alot of road noises.
- 1/5
Carpet was dirty and room was stinky
- 4/5
Excellent service!
- 5/5
Very convenient location
- 5/5
Hotel location was extremely convenient and walkable. Staff was very friendly. I left my kindle in the room and they mailed it back to me and made the return process very easy. The gentleman that worked at the front desk (I wish I could remember his name - maybe Rolando?) was awesome! So friendly and was very kind to my daughter. Would stay here again.
- 5/5
Close to everything walking distance
- 2/5
Although it had great reviews on expedia, and the price seemed good, the hotel rooms are very small and smell like humidity. The carpets are very worn, and overall the property looks old and not well maintained. The keys to the rooms did not work half of the time and we had to wait a long time to get the elevator down to the lobby to have them reprogramed. The included breakfast was OK in terms of food, but the breakfast space is small and crowded and difficult to get around in. The staff was polite and would reprogram our keys every time. The outdoor sitting area was not always kept clean and, although there was a sign that it was meant for hotel guests only, the staff did not seem to enforce that.

Close to transportation

Staff was great and friendly.

Staff are friendly and accommodating! They also do room service nice and clean. Would probably go back

I was very disappointed in Holiday Inn. This was by far the worst one we have stayed in. Our room was super small, with barely enough room to walk or put our stuff. The hotel desperately needs updating. The water pressure in the shower was terrible. This was the first hotel we have stayed at that did not have a refrigerator in the room to keep our bottled water cold. We had to wait forever just to get on the elevator. The elevators were very slow, one of them had stopped working. This is a problem when staying on a high floor and having to use the stairs. This hotel was very overpriced. I know that staying in Manhattan is expensive but you should have better amenities. However, I will say the breakfast was probably the best thing about the hotel and the employees were super nice.
- 5/5
I like the location. It's very accesible to everything. Staff are very accomodating. And the cleanliness w/ fresh scent in our room is just awesome. A wide variety of food for breakfast is awesome.
- 2/5
The room and linens always felt wet and humid. The AC unit could not dehumidify the room. The furniture was old and chipping. Couldn't put our clothes away as the drawers left the clothes with a wet smell. Room was extremely small even by NYC standards. No mini-fridge or microwave in room.
- 5/5
Everything was perfect
- 5/5
I will stay here again. Awesome place.
