Reviews
The hotel has a great location in Times Square, with easy access to shopping, restaurants, and Broadway shows. The staff is generally friendly and helpful, but there are some inconsistencies in service quality. The rooms are clean but small, and there are issues with hot water availability and shower pressure.

Could not get housekeeping to service room even when asked. Complementary coffee was not available/ they ran out early and didn’t make more unless they were asked.

The front desk receptionist is incredibly helpful, and the hotel is spotless.

It was a nice stay. The room didn't have a traditional closet but that was minor.

Hotel was safe and required keycard access. Staff was quick, attentive, and personable. Shower floor was not slanted enough and water would flow onto the bathroom floor when showering. Sink water pressure was non-existent. Trash (plastic bags, lighters, tissues, etc.) was left from previous guest in drawers and behind bed. The sheets, bathroom, and wardrobe were otherwise clean.
- 5/5
Was a great stay, we got free upgrade to king bed with a view. Room was nice and clean.

Our family loved the location. We could see Times Square from our window. There was a parking garage right around the corner. The room was comfortable, staff was excellent and we felt like we were in a safe location. It would have been nice to have paring or a valet option, but that is being picky. We enjoyed our stay at this Hilton Garden Inn.

Room was great, convenient location, but the best part was the front desk staff. Both ladies who I encountered were warm, friendly, personable. I wish I had gotten their names. Top tier service.

Melissa and Afruna were amazing at the front desk at checkout!!!! They showed great hospitality and customer service unlike their counterparts who work with them. They were interested and invested in resolving the problem and closing out this experience well. Some of the other staff acted like I was bothering them for their mistakes with charges on my account and did not care to resolve it. Another person who was helpful was the manager Tyera who took time to listen and try to resolve the problems. We encountered 4 other front desk people and a manager who seemed to be bothered by our presence. This is their whole job. It would have been great to have a check in process that was excellent and exemplary as I know the Hilton Gardens staff to be. However, This was not that experience. Expedia also made an attempt to try and help but failed to resolve the problem. They also made a suggestion that didn’t really help because it was not usable so that was a waste. The restaurant was awesome and food had a great taste. Good ambiance and wait staff. Excellent service. The resort was beautiful, clean and rooms were updated. My main and only problems were surrounding staff and check in. Otherwise, our trip was great.

This hotel is situated right next to subway stops so you can get anywhere in the city with no fuss. The room was quiet and clean. We slept well when we weren't running around the city. Just give yourself extra time to get in and out to account for elevator waits. That appears to be common in the area.
- 5/5
I liked the location — it’s just a few blocks from Times Square. The room was clean, quiet, and had all the necessary amenities. I didn’t like that the elevator took a long time because there were so many people staying at the hotel.

The absolutely shining aspect of this place was the staff. Specifically Michelle and Melissa. They were both so unbelievably nice and kind. Melissa went out of her way to help find us an early check in option (naps were desperately needed). It was beyond kind. Michelle was so friendly and gave us great restaurant advice, as well as airport tips. I'd book another trip to this location solely for the outstanding service Michelle and Melissa provided.
- 4.5/5
Excellent! I would like to especially highlight the attention provided by Ibeth and Michelle during my stay at the Hilton Garden Inn in New York. Both were extremely kind, warm, and always willing to help. We are particularly grateful for the support they gave us with our baby, showing great patience and understanding toward her needs, which made our stay much more comfortable and enjoyable for the whole family. Their attentive, caring, and professional attitude truly makes a difference and reflects the high level of service at the hotel. Thank you both so much for your exceptional care!

Location is very good. Bed was comfortable Bathroom is dirty and hasn't been cleaned properly. Shower has no seal at the bottom so the water drains directly outside. If there is no towel there, you'll find yourself stepping into a pool. Window isnt fully sealed and makes an annoying whistling sound and prevented me from sleeping.

The room was clean, spacious, and well-maintained, with all the amenities I needed for a relaxing stay. The bed was especially comfortable, and I appreciated the quiet atmosphere—it made it easy to get a good night’s sleep. The hotel’s location was perfect, close to restaurants and shops

Strong smell of weed!
- 5/5
The room was tight.
- 5/5
Room was clean and staff was friendly and helpful. The cost relative to the location was perfect. We had access to all the great restaurants, we could easily get to and navigate our way thru the subways to get to downtown and Brooklyn, and was less than an 5 minute walk to the theatre for our Broadway show. Our only concern was the temperature of the mini fridge. Otherwise and overall positive stay.

My family and I were very pleased with our stay. This was our kids' first time to NYC. The location worked well in being able to get to many of the main things we wanted to see. The staff was very kind and helpful. There was a mess up with our reservation when we checked in, but they quickly addressed it. It is really nice to have a room with 2 queen beds instead of 2 doubles! We enjoyed the food we had at the restaurant as well. If you want to stay near Times Square, I'd highly recommend here.

The hotel charges a resort fee and promises you multiple discounts for the fee (Lyft bike discounts, dry cleaning, coupons for restaurants). However, the items promised were either useless or not available when requested. In my opinion, something that I am paying for should be provided without request. With that being said, it definitely should be provided when requested. When I called the hotel, they refused to give any money back despite the fact that the services they promised were not delivered.

Good place to visit NY City.
- 5/5
The staff were incredible as well. The women at the front desk were so friendly and polite, it made checking in and checking out a breeze. She reminded us about the free coffee and to take advantage, and we even got a card with a discount for the restaurant in the hotel. The room was very clean as well. It was cleaned every single time we left and they would do so very fast. I was honestly impressed for the amount of floors there are too! They were very fast and thorough. The only issue I had which wasn’t a big deal, I stayed on a side room so we were next to a storage closet or something, so we can hear the door open and close and it was pretty loud. Like I said, not a big issue, but it was annoying. It sounded like someone was trying to come into our room but it was really a staff getting inside the storage room haha. I would definitely recommend staying here, and can’t wait to come back!

Room is not what is portrayed in the pics. Very small. The restroom had no soap no body gel wash. Towels had some random black particles. Checked in around 6pm and the lady at the desk said the key machine isn’t working so i have to wait then she told me she gave me a 12:30pm check out time. Didn’t care for her 30 mins. Check out day i was out for breakfast i came back to the room around 11:30am and my key wasn’t working went to the lobby to get that situated went back up key still didn’t work came back the lady gave me 2 brand new keys went up and still didn’t work went back to lobby the lady at the desk said she will send an engineer upstairs. Engineer came up and said it’s probably because it’s almost time to check out. All in all safe to say that the hotel locks people out of the room an hour or so before

Spotless, safe and sound..❤️

This hotel is always good and a great staff!
- 5/5
Room was clean and staff was very nice and friendly
- 1/5
Room was incredibly noisy not from the street but from the room next door, the elevators and the wind. I measured it to 72 decibels with the norm being 60-65 in the night. I called and went down to reception a total of 5 times and I’m still waiting on someone to come look and listen…. The coffee in the lobby was always cold, and the lobby, room corridors and entrance smelt 24/7 of weed. The bathroom was constantly freezing, the room was warm and the thermostat easy to use but regardless the bathroom was very very cold and just opening the door left a horrible cold draft, making showers horrible for getting in or out or even brushing teeth. The bed and pillows were comfy. The other major issue was the curtains were broken, both on both sides making the room not black out at all, there was no way to get the curtains to cover all the window. We didn’t sleep much at all which really ruined our trip, and meant we even forgot what day it was.
- 5/5
The hotel and staff were awesome. Michelle at the front desk was the most warm and helpful staff...super accommodating and was quick to give us assistance/pointers with anything we asked. The hotel was clean and well kept. The food and drinks at the onsite restaurant were good. All staff we encountered were very nice and helpful.
- 5/5
I think it's kind of ridiculous to have us pay extra to check-in early even though the room was clearly ready. They didn't have to go and clean it or anything. We stayed somewhere else recently that just let us check in 2 hours early for free because the room was ready.
- 5/5
All is great.
- 3/5
The only reason I’m giving 3 stars instead of 2 is for the one manager that was actually helpful. We had issues with the water temperature only coming out either scalding hot or freezing cold from both the shower and sink, and water leaked all over the bathroom floor and into the entryway if you showered, so we had to use every single towel we had to clean it up. When we brought this to the front desk 2 separate times, they were dismissive and rude. When we called to request a late checkout due to the inconveniences, we were told it was not possible unless we paid more. After asking to be transferred to the manager, we were informed that’s not the case, so we were also blatantly lied to by the front desk staff member. I’ve stayed here before and had great experiences, but we most likely won’t be back after this.

Super clean rooms, check in was a doozie coz employee got a mix up but did not ruin the check in experience. Right on Times Square & depending on your room, you can see the billboards signs from it. Close to alll the dining options & things to do! Minutes walk to Broadway which we did@ ! Will consider staying here again next time!

Very hospitable and accommodating when we had to extend our stay and help find accommodations during winter storm Fern in January 2026. These are some of the finest people NYC has to offer. And the Margherita Pie is delicious too!

The sink and shower were both boiling hot to the point where you literally cannot touch it for over 3 seconds and were not adjustable. They had to send a poor engineer at 1am to try to fix it and it still didn’t work. We asked the front desk to switch rooms and they said “the hotel’s rooms were all booked and there’s nothing they could do.” The front desk had an annoyed tone and the hotel didn’t even attempt to offer any compensation, apology or solution to the problem. If you would like to experience being boiled alive and treated poorly, the hotel is for you! Gave a two star instead of one only because the engineer was nice. Also the outlet by the bedside was completely broken, definitely not worth the price.

The cleanliness of the rooms should be improved. Specifically, the cleanliness of the bathroom.
- 5/5
Great property with a great staff!
- 4/5
Stayed here for a mother/daughter trip. Our goal for the trip was to do all the tourist things, so staying in Times Square was a good choice for us. The subway stops are close by, you can basically see Times Square, we walked to our Broadway show, and Bryant Park is close by for the holiday market. The room was very minimal, but worked for us. It has a mini fridge, microwave, and a small closet. Noise was not an issue for us, but we were on the 17th floor. I appreciate the security of having to use a room key to gain access to the elevator. I also loved that our room was cleaned daily. The breakfast at the restaurant at the hotel was just okay, we only did it once. The price of this hotel was also a big reason we selected it, as NYC can be very expensive. Overall, it was a good place for us and our trip!
- 4/5
Clean room, friendly staff, great location.
- 5/5
Great location
- 5/5
Great location friendly staff
- 2/5
Paid extra for the view but got a back room overlooking an office building. The room wasn’t vacuumed properly because on the edges there was garbage. The bathroom garbage bin also hadsome scraps of paper inside and the shower caulking had black mold. At least the bed was comfortable
- 5/5
Great spot for the New Year’s celebration!
- 5/5
The entire staff, hotel, and true sense of caring was excellent!
- 1/5
Rooms are extremely small, it’s more expensive than the other hotels in time square, u was there for 2 night and a spent a third night at Hyatt, same regal king size bed, different is night and day !! And Hyatt was way cheaper. Also getting access to the hotel on nye was soo frustrating even with passes we were given, I do not recommend
- 4/5
Room was small, but so well appointed. Better than expected for NYC. The location was perfect for a first time visitor, I would definitely stay here again.
- 5/5
yes, Michelle was great
- 5/5
Great location and friendly staff. Was here only for one night but experience was amazing.
- 4/5
Other than the fire alarm when on at 2am everything was good.
- 5/5
Very accomodating

Great location
- 4/5
Great location, elevators can be long waits. Room clean but bathroom water pressure in the sink was horrible....
- 5/5
Great staff! Very attentive and friendly
- 5/5
Staff and amenities. Would help if hotel can make sure there are no bugs in rooms. I saw a centipede in the bathroom. That was extremely uncomfortable to see.
- 4/5
They didn’t clean our room for like 2 days
- 3/5
Room reserved was not given. My room had no view of Times Square. Staff was helpful but not very friendly.
- 5/5
Great location to Time Square and subway access!
- 4/5
Small but enough. Location is great
- 5/5
Everything was perfect and staff was very friendly. Would recommend this hotel as the location was excellent as well.
- 4/5
The room was not ready when I arrived. The restroom in my room was not thoroughly clean; hair on the floor and on the toilet. Breakfast was good and fresh. Staff was nice and friendly.
- 4/5
Michelle and Melissa were both wonderful. So friendly and helpful.
- 5/5
The staff was happy to move our room to the same floor as the others in our party. Friendly, professional and accommodating.
- 3/5
Charge extra when your room is ready and you come early, and also charge a destination fee
- 1/5
The next day, after our room was cleaned, there still was no hand soap or body wash. There is no way the cleaning lady did not notice. The only explanation is that she did not bother or care enough to put the missing items.
- 5/5
Staff was so nice and very accommodating❤️ I left my wedding ring and right away I called the lobby and reported to them and they asked me to callback in and hour.I was so happy that they found my ring. The manager that day was so nice and very much understanding and very helpful❤️ I will definitely recommend this property to my friends and family.❤️❤️❤️
- 4/5
Great location. Plus, the staff behind the scenes were working hard. Came into contact with a “houseman” and a housekeeper and both were super helpful and nice.
- 4/5
The check-in was smooth. My room was not ready but they stored my bags. They did allow early check-in if your room was ready which is nice. I had the corner room with a view of Times Square and "The NYE Ball". It was a nice view but the room is right next to the elevator. I am a late night-early riser so that was not a problem for me. The room seemed small because there is so much useless space when you first enter the room. Since most people are out all day, this should not be a problem. The bed was comfortable and the bathroom is a nice size. There was a leak in the bathroom which has been ongoing because the vanity is damaged from this leak. I did not notice it right away but I did alert the front desk. The staff was great and addressed all concerns and issues immediately. The elevators did not take too long to come. There are 4... two were being worked on one day but I was out all day so was not inconvenienced at all. Overall, I enjoyed my stay and would return. If you are a hotel snob and like a nice lobby with great amenities then this is not the place for you. I am typically a hotel snob, but when in NY, I only need a place to sleep and Hilton Garden Inn Times Square Central worked.

They didn't have our registration from Expedia, we had to find a last minute hotel and then they charged us a cancellation charge
- 5/5
Manager Joe was great. We assisted a guest who had a medical emergency and Joe treated us like royalty, even though we did it to ensure her safety. His kindness was so appreciated. Thanks Joe!
- 5/5
Great location, professional and courteous staff. Comfortable, room cleaned every day. Would stay again.
- 1/5
I had my wallet stolen in the City and I had no ID with me. I was not allowed to check in even though I am a Hilton Honors member and was texted my passport with photo. Hilton employees were awful to deal with
- 5/5
Cerca de todo, muy céntrico

Spotless room, great staff. Appreciated the restaurant next door.

- 5/5
Clean room, space was great. Location absolutely perfect and the bartender was incredible!!
- 5/5
The room was very clean as well as the bathroom, personally I would disregard any of these crazy reviews as the hotel and staff were amazing and very accommodating.
- 4/5
My daughter and I stayed there when in the city to see a Broadway show. The hotel was clean and well located for our needs. The room was large, clean and comfortable. Having the bar and restaurant was lovely. The food was very good and the bartender was attentive.
- 1/5
Based on prior reviews, this property initially seemed like a suitable choice; however, I quickly regretted my decision to stay here. While the property itself is satisfactory, the cleanliness requires significant improvement. Upon entering the room, we immediately noticed M&M’s, hair ties, bobby pins, a wrapper, and clothing tags scattered across the floor. I was genuinely shocked by the lack of upkeep. I travel frequently around the world, and this has been, by far, the least clean property I have encountered. Additionally, excessive noise from outside and from footsteps within the building was consistently disruptive. I will certainly not be staying here again.
- 4/5
Great service
- 5/5
loved it
- 5/5
Great stay
- 5/5
Clean room, friendly staff, great location and good food. I highly recommended! I’ll be back
- 4/5
Convenient location. Room was clean and quiet given the location on 42nd St. Hotel has very limited amenities but on-site restaurant and free coffee are good. Early check-in fee of $75.00 is outrageous and best avoided by leaving your luggage in the hotel storage room if you arrive early.
- 4/5
It was a nice stay. I updated my room from city view to corner room time square view but didn't get it so that was a bit disappointing but everything else was good.
- 5/5
The location is perfect. Easy to take the subway.
- 5/5

- 5/5
Room is adequate, loved the location. I'll definitely be back.
- 3/5
The hotel is tired. The elevators are slow. The food is ok, just ok. Nothing wonderful. Michelle at the front desk was fabulous. Wonderful. All other staff was ok, some better than others. Carpets were filthy. Rooms were smelly.
- 5/5
The staff were excellent.
- 5/5
I love the location of this hotel! There are eateries literally next door (like Chicken Guy, Rosetta). Target and Whole Foods are minutes away. My favorite thing, though, is how close it is to so many Broadway productions!
- 5/5
Clean room and hotel

- 4/5
The location is very convenient. The room was extra small, but had all the needed amenities and the hotel security made me feel safe. The only issue is the awkward layout as the entrance is in ground level and the reception in the second floor. Personnel very attentive and helpful.
- 4/5
Easy to access transportation-subway stations near by, BigBus hop on hop off sightseeing bus has pick up spot at the hotel next to the Hilton. Some basic food options nearby- Guy Fieri Chicken Guy, Planet Hollywood, etc. On site Italian restaurant- small, food not very good. Small but clean room, comfy bed with basic bedding , shower, no tub, room has mini fridge and microwave- I didn’t use but it was nice to know it was there if needed. Small hallway entering hotel. Hotel lobby and check- in located 1 floor up. Coffee and tea available, can leave suitcases if you come in before check in. My only complaint- I needed to check out at 6:30 am to get to LaGuardia. Did not have hot water for shower. Informed desk staff and was told I should have called right away. I had to leave asap. No time for that! Despite water issue, enjoyed stay! Will book this hotel again.

- 4/5
The hotel is close to many of the things you want to do in New York and to subway stations. The staff is very attentive and helpful.
- 5/5
spotless room, great customer service
- 3/5
I understand it's business but one thing that threw me off was that check in was at 3 p.m and if I wanted earlier I had to pay an extra charge! From all the hotels I've stayed and Airbnbs when in the case show up an hour early they gladly take me in with no extra charge and the rooms were aesthetic and didn't have a scent to them. That's the only thing that I wish y'all can change. Hospitality
- 5/5
Great stay, super convenient location and helpful staff!
- 4/5
Good experience. Room was clean, not too small (expected a lot worse for NYC). Super close to subway and Bryant Park, so location was great. I'd stay here again
- 5/5

- 5/5
The staff was very helpful and friendly especially after a stressful day of a cancelled flight and needing to find a hotel right away. Our room had an awesome view of Times Square!
- 4/5

- 4/5
Loved the central convenient location, and felt safe with the doorman monitoring the entry level. Subway stops right on the corners, and big bus tours start right out front! Everything was clean and newly updated. I was surprised how little sound I heard from Times Square with my room right on the corner of it! The room was a little cramped but that’s to be expected for NYC. Overall a great stay and I’d happily stay here again on a future trip
- 1/5
Accidentally booked the hotel for the night before the date I needed it. Once I booked the stay I realized right away that I had made a mistake. I called the hotel asking if they could move me to the correct date ( for the next day) and they said because I booked through Expedia, I needed to reach out to them and that they would be able to do that for me. I talked to 2 representatives and both of them were extremely unhelpful. Expedia is a scam, and I will never use this booking site again. Something so simple that could’ve been changed in less than a minute turns into me loosing money over somewhere I never ended up staying at.
- 4/5
The room was small and clean enough. It could be cleaner. The staff was mostly friendly. The location was very convenient.
- 5/5
The staff was amazing
- 4/5
Clean rooms. Quick check in. Comfortable
- 5/5
Room was clean, no issues.
- 4/5
The staff was very courteous. The location wss great. The room was clean and the view was excellent. The only problem we had was a well worn mattress. One side was lumpy and dipped. We asked to have it flipped at least, but they couldn't, so we just shared the same side of the king bed.

- 5/5
Amazing stay, amazing staff, super clean with amazing view
- 4/5
Room was fine, staff was great very courteous.
- 5/5
I love the room and the staff were very nice
- 2/5
The staff was so kind , helpful and nice but the overall facilities just seem old. Out shower would take forever to get hot water.
- 5/5
Clean room, comfy bed, very friendly and helpful staff, having a fridge and microwave was very convenient
- 5/5
Room was beautiful and the noon checkout was great. Awesome staff that were able to hang onto our bags while we wondered the city.
- 4/5
A few of the mornings, me and the wife were still sleeping (super comfy beds), so it was amazing that the Fire Man wanted to greet us daily!
- 4/5
Staff were friendly and informative.
- 4/5
The receptionist was wonderful but we had trouble with the bellhop and getting our luggage...he clearly had an attitude problem...On the other hand, the person handling facilities was GREAT but the concierge was hit or miss. There was mildew in the shower but housekeeping was fine.
- 1/5
In my case, the staff would not let me check in because I didn't have my physical debit card. I offered to provide the manual credit card details or to pay with Apple Pay (both of which I do at all other hotels), but they were not open to any solution. They then stopped engaging with me and began serving the next customer. It was midnight, so their refusal meant that they put me out on the street with nowhere to stay. This was an unreasonable and unsafe position to be put in.
- 3/5
I had to call 3 times to get someone to check out the water because there was no warm water.
- 3/5
The room was very nice, however the first night we had no hot water, they came up and messed with it a couple times, and said it was good… half way through the shower it was cold. We had 3 nights and mornings worth of cold water for our showers. Yes we called and told them. We didn’t get our room key until the last day, they stated it was due to a power outage- for 3 days?
- 5/5
Clean room and amazing view
- 4/5
It's what I needed at a fair price
- 2/5
The staff was very helpful and excellent. My daughter was getting in the tub/shower and as she stepped in her feet slipped because the bottom of the tub was slippery and she fell backward and hip her hip on the tub and her head on the vanity. 911 was called and she had 8 stitches. We had purchased orchestra tickets for "Wicked" for 7:00 PM that night and we could not go nor did we get our money back. She is still sore and her head hurts. The safety strips in the tub were worn down so they had no traction at all.
- 5/5
Quick to fix broke shower
- 1/5
The hot water would go on and off in the shower. I called for repairs, someone came by, the issue was still not fixed
- 4/5
Nice property!!
- 2/5
Stay was terrible due to the bathroom not working throughout. The toilet did not flush and multiple times the engineer had to be called. The bathtub did not allow for water to go down so it flooded the bathroom. Worst stay ive had at hitlton inn. Sofitel would have been a better option. They didn’t really accommodate me except for waiving bs hotel fee. Stay away from this place unless you like having a plumber in your room for most of your stay.
- 5/5
Excellent customer service, restaurant was great too
- 5/5
Yes everything was amazing.
- 5/5
All great
- 5/5
Great location, friendly and helpful staff and very clean.
- 5/5
I have traveled and stayed at various hotels during extended vacations and mini getaways . . .. and I have never encountered a group of employees at one location that everyone has the same spirit, pleasant attitude, and very approachable, like we had at the Hilton Garden Inn New York/Times Square Central. Every employee we interacted with from the 2 doorman/concierge, guest service agents, manager, bar staff, and housekeeping all represented award-winning and excellent customer service, was personable, attentive to our questions/concerns, and genuinely friendly. I would like to acknowledge those employees that went above and beyond to make myself, my friend (celebrating his birthday), and his extended family feel like we were a part of the Hilton family; Gulbyie, Franky, Michelle, Ndeye, doorman/concierge that took our pictures and his aunt birthday is on October 26th which is the same day as my friend (I apologize for not remembering his name), and especially Joe!
- 5/5
Great location to catch a show, be a tourist. Walk everywhere. Clean room, comfortable bed. We will be back.
- 5/5
Great location
- 5/5
Beautiful hotel
- 2/5
Las sábanas estaban sucias y la cama muy dura
- 5/5
Check in was quick and smooth room was clean and quiet
- 2/5
Cleaning staff was great but the customer service at the hotel lobby was disappointing. The receptionists were not very welcoming and almost seemed annoyed when we tried to check in early. Got there around noon and check in was at 3 and were told the room wasn’t ready which was okay. Dropped off our bags and came back around 2:30 and asked if our rooms were ready. The lady was checking the computer for about 5 minutes until she threw her hands up in the air and said ugh the rooms not ready come back at 3. Not a warm welcoming for the amount of money we paid to stay there. Would not be staying here again.
- 3/5
The water pressure was terrible and the shower water was leaking on to the bathroom floor every time we showered, I almost slipped twice. The sink water took over 5 minutes to warm up. The AC was barely working. The room itself was not that clean considering it is a HILTON hotel, we were not impressed.
- 5/5
Convenient location, clean room, and friendly staff.
- 4/5
It was wonderful having fresh coffee but someone needs to be more responsible for refilling the coffee and cream as soon as it runs out in the morning.
- 5/5
The location is absolutely the best. Close to everything. Staff are very nice and accommodating.
- 4/5
Great location, good rooms. View was underwhelming and oversold. Very convenient and close to everything. Elevators took forever
- 5/5
Perfect, central place. Best place to stay if you want easy access to all of Manhattan.
- 4/5
Central location, easy to get to places by walking or public transportation.
- 5/5
Centrally located and safe
- 4/5
Great stay, everything were walkable
- 4/5
Room was clean & comfortable
- 3/5
Loads of shopping options
- 3/5
Room floor was not clean, debris in carpet, shower curtain too short washroom floor gets too wet all over, nice location but very expensive room for what it offers, nicer properties around the same area for the same price
- 5/5
My daughter and I stayed here recently for a "Girl's Weekend" and were really impressed! The front desk staff was very helpful and we were able to check in early...the hotel is just steps away from Times Square and also close to the 42nd Street subway station. Our room was clean and quiet. I would highly recommend!
- 5/5
Great location.
- 4/5
This would be a FIVE STAR review except up on our high floor (amazing view) we did not have hot water consistently. To be honest, it was usually Luke warm or cold even. (Maybe they need to convert to a tankless hot water system or adjust water pressure on hot lines, not sure?)
- 5/5
The hotel was conveniently located , restaurant food was excellent, staff was very polite, and rooms were immaculate.
- 1/5
Mold like substance on the ceiling

Place to stay walk away from everything you need!!
- 5/5
Great Hotel. Definitely will stay there again

Hello
- 3/5
I booked this for my 20 year old daughter and her friend. It didn’t say anywhere at the time of booking they had to be 21 years old to check in!
- 1/5
very inconvenient, poor service. small bed
- 5/5
Hotel is convenient to plays. What makes the place exceptional is the staff. Polite, friendly and and super helpful
- 5/5
This is our second time staying here and we love it‼️ it’s close to everything

Rooms were clean and had modern bathroom.

Clean and beautiful views.

Great location, only thing I’d add for a tip for people is there is a lot of Hilton Garden Inns in Time Square , so make sure you always have the right address :)
- 5/5

- 4/5
Dated property and space in the room was challenging as the desk and chair prevented you from moving around the bed. Staff were friendly and helpful.
- 4/5
We had issues getting hot water in the shower. Our phone in the room had no cord so we couldn’t call to let anyone know.

- 4/5
Friendly staff. Water in shower was draining slow.
- 5/5
Our room was very clean and the staff was very nice. The doormen were excellent/very helpful.
- 5/5
I’ll stay there again next year brilliant staff
- 5/5
Fantastic location close to underground stations and attractions. Staff were wonderful from the doormen to reception and cleaning staff. Quick check in and check out. Really appreciated the complimentary Starbucks coffee in reception. Always hot and full.
- 5/5
Hotel is perfectly situated for Metro, theatre’s, restaurants and sights
- 5/5
Great location. In walking distance to everything.
- 5/5
larger-than-life personality and he gave us the warmest welcome. We arrived before check-in and they gladly stored our luggage while we set off to explore. The bathroom was a bit dirty with hair in the shower and the bathroom mirror wasn’t entirely clean. The beds were comfortable but the pillows get a D. We are a family of 4 and we only had towels for 3. This is consistently a problem across Hilton properties…never enough towels and always having to request more. I would stay here again.
- 5/5
In the heart of time square.
- 5/5
Great location. Next to the subway station and in the heart of Time Square.
- 4/5
Outlets didn’t work near the bed.
- 4/5
Nice hotel. Friendly staff. Decent central area for tourists. Standard room with rather tired and boring decor. Room was clean though. Great shower and very comfy bed. My floor was very quiet at night. Nice reception, coffee area and bar restaurant. Room service food was a bit of a faff, and not very hot by the time it arrived. Mostly very friendly enthusiastic staff. I'd stay here again. Thanks!
- 4/5
Convenient to everything. The negatives were that charges per day totaled $120 over the daily rate. Taxes, service charges, $10 for a power bar and no breakfast added up to much higher than original quote.
- 4/5
The room is kind of small and laid out strangely. Also, the showers cold and hot water is mixed up, and the shower leaks onto the floor of the bathroom.
- 5/5
Perfect location!!! Literally steps from Time Square.
- 5/5
Excellent location in midtown with walking access to Times Square at un beatable prices with subway stations on the corners. Highly recommended. The rooms are small if you are a family of more than 2.
- 5/5
Conveniently located in Times Square, this hotel was exactly what we needed. Finding a double bed room at a fair price was a challenge for the city so we lucked out. Facilities are kept clean and safe. Everything is nearby! Subway access, restaurants, shopping, Broadway…easy access for rideshare pickups too. Staff was extremely friendly and helpful. Thanks for the great stay!
- 5/5
Excellent 👌
- 5/5
The night shift could have been more forthcoming and friendly.
- 5/5
Great spot! Easy and central to everything.
- 5/5
Great location in proximity to Time Square, friendly staff and clean rooms. We look forward to staying here again.
- 3/5
We stayed Saturday-Wednesday. Hotel was clean, conveniently located, security was awesome. Our room was comfortable with plenty of towels, fridge and microwave. My only complaint was cold showers 3.5 days. Complained and the “engineer” checked and said to many people taking a shower. Complained to manager and miraculously last day had hot water. Asked for compensation, only hilton points given in a quantity in my opinion was inadequate. If we had hot water it would have been a fivestar review.
- 5/5
Incredibly hospitable staff.
- 4/5
Was a good experience. Only bad note was the receptionist
- 5/5
I was Amazing Great place to be on your vacation
- 5/5
Excellent
- 5/5
We had a really great time at Hilton. The location was perfect, it was very walkable, right next to Times Square, overall very convenient
- 3/5
Overall a disappointment.
- 5/5
Location
- 5/5
This was our first time in New York. We wanted a central spot to stay and this was perfect!!! Close to 2 of the major subway stations that take you to all the attractions, half mile walking to just about anything you could want to see including Times Square which we could see from our room. If we come back we would 💯 stay here again!
- 5/5
Great location.
- 5/5
Excellent experience
- 5/5
The staff are very helpful and kind. The place is also very convenient as it is located exactly at times square and like barely 2 mins walking distance to subway stations and bus stops.
- 5/5
Convenient to walk to all of the sites we wanted to see. No need for public transportation or Subway.
- 5/5
Amazing stay
- 1/5
Very bad experience with the front staff. Over charged $175 resort fees.
- 5/5
Great Location, manager was great!
- 4/5
Very convenient location
- 3/5
I was disappointed with my stay. For the price charged, I expected better service and amenities. There was no complementary water in the room, which one would normally expect at this price point. Hand soap was missing, and I had to call multiple times before it was provided. On top of that, the iron in the room did not work. Overall, the experience did not match the standard advertised.
- 5/5
Manager Joe went out of his way for us and most of the staff would, “go above and beyond” when needed. We really enjoyed staying so close to Times Square and Broadway shows.
- 3/5
Misleading about charges and credits
- 5/5
We enjoy our weekend at the hilton garden inn
- 4/5
The location of the hotel is perfect.
- 3/5
The staff were all great. Was welcomed nicely. When i delayed my check out I was not told that i needed to come extend my key time and was locked out the room. The cleaning staff persistently knocked even after being told my check out time was 2pm. The phone didnt work in the room so i was unable to call for room service when I wanted. The 10 dollar credit a day is nice but it covers basically 1 drink because they are $8 bucks.
- 5/5
The people were very friendly and helpful. The location is great for Times Square and easy access to subway and taxi/uber.
- 1/5
The guards at front door was not friendly and was looking for excuses to fight
- 5/5
The room was what we wanted-small.
- 5/5
Location of this hotel was perfect - so close to Times Square and tons of attractions, stores, restaurants, etc. There was also a stop for the big bus tours right outside the front door, which was very convenient. The room was really good size, especially the bathroom, and there was lots of storage space - We’ve been to other NYC hotels and that was not the case! The only issue we had, which was beyond the hotel’s control, was not being able to access the recommended parking garage because of a parade/celebration, so I called the hotel and spoke with Joe (I believe was his name) and Melissa and they were so helpful with finding a different garage within walking distance. Joe was so kind, apologetic (even though it wasn’t his fault!) and even offered us some chocolate upon arrival for our trouble! We will definitely come back!
- 4/5
Room was a little on the small size but comfortable
- 4/5
Beds were comfortable. I appreciated the daily housekeeping. Bathroom was pretty small but clean. Always had plenty of clean towels. Location was perfect. Dining staff was very friendly and the food was good.
- 1/5
staff was very rude and unfriendly, gave wrong information about the parking and had to walk a long and discomfort with leg pains.
- 3/5
But the water pressure was terrible in the bathroom
- 4/5
We had a comfortable room with a great view. Very close to subway stops, Times Square, shows, and lots of landmarks. The hotel offers nice perks, like credits for pantry items and laundry services, so we could usually grab something each day. The staff was very nice and helpful. The only issue we had was that sometimes the hot water would just come and go while we were in the shower. Overall, we felt like we got a good place to stay and did not overpay for anything.
- 5/5
Everything is excellent
- 5/5
Hilton Garden Inn in Times Square was a perfect place great walking distance to everything you needed. Highly recommend

The location for the hotel was good, not too much on the square but close enough. The elevators were very slow being that there were 3 of them. The AC. could have been colder honestly I felt like it didn’t go below 72. When we first arrived the TV wasn’t connected for whatever reason so we had to call for them to come fix it. The bed was too close to the door so we couldn’t just walk straight in. Staff was nice and helpful.

Loved the location, convenient to most tourist attractions. Surprised with an extra $35/day service fee. The room was small, but ok for a single traveler
