The staff are fantastic. So friendly and helpful. Bravo to all. The room was clean and appreciated the daily replenishment of coffee pods. Having a fridge and microwave was great for snacks after a long day sightseeing. The air con unit. It was old and noisy! That said I didn't mention it to reception as there's not much you can do other than replace it with a new one!

The cleaning staff were lovely. Always smiling, very friendly. The location is fantastic. We were on the 11th floor and in spite of the Knicks playing a historical game at Madison the noise didn't bother us much. The small gym has new equipment in excellent condition. A lovely lady at reception printed important documents for me without a charge, I was pleasantly surprised. Sadly, the room was full of previous guests hair all over and some small items that had been left behind. The phone was not working, the USB plugs were not working, I notified the staff and was told they'd written it down for the manager. However it was never addressed again. The shower makes this very loud noise and neither one of our room doors would close fully, had to be pushed. The airconditioning is very loud and the beds/mattresses are very worn... I realize the prices are pretty low for NYC but it felt like things could easily have been elevated, especially as this is still a Hilton hotel.

We stayed here for 3 nights with 2 adults and 2 teens. When we arrived back the first night after dinner, the AC in our room was not working. After maintenance tried to fix it with no luck, we were relocated to and different room. The whole situation was handled very professionally and we were happy that the staff did everything to accommodate us in a timely manner. This hotel is in a great location in the flower district, just a block away from a convenient subway station (and just one stop from Penn station) and lots of food options nearby. The rooms are small, but it's NYC, so that's pretty typical. We did have very long wait times for the elevator as there are only 2 to service 23+ floors.

This was the worst experience we’ve had. I booked two rooms next to each other for our large family and they were not close to each other. When we got in the room both beds sheets were dirty. There was literally something nasty attached to one sheet and when i told the hotel they said they will send up a new sheet. We had to make the bed etc, they had an attitude and didn’t care at all. The worst of it was our bathroom was infested with MOLD. They knowingly booked us a room in this condition. None of the bathroom fans worked in either room. The staff was rude and careless. There were trash from previous guest under the beds in both rooms. The cleanliness is simply not there. The hotel is ran down. One of the elevators wasn’t working. There was no where else to stay at a reasonable cost last minute because it was games 3 and 4 for the New York Nicks and the town was crazy despite us having been booked in advance. I asked for a manager to call me and still no call. The room is INHABITABLE AND A HEALTH RISK. The only offered to refund one night. Worst hotel experience. DO NOT STAY HERE

Staff were friendly and helpful. Room in a need of updating. Beds were very comfortable although I could not sleep because of the noise coming from the city (no hotel's fault of course). Breakfast (for what it costs) did not include hot options which was not suitable for me, and for that reason I would not return (hot meals were available but for additional cost of around 20 dollars which I could not justify). Location in the city was very good but the noise at night was a big issue for me (but that can be expected in New York). It just affected me more that I thought It would but everyone is different. The room was clean (I would like to thank the housekeeping staff) but it needs a general tidying up (the walls were dirty and that put us off as soon as we arrived and entered the room). Breakfast was not sufficient for me and that was important ahead of intensive day of sightseeing.

It was alright. Never staying here again. No where to sit in the lobby. Showers were gross. Water coming up. Trash can tiny as hell. Staff is horrible and not welcoming . Don’t want to help in anyway. Asked for towels and they didn’t bring them. Asked assistance with parking and apparently had no idea how to help despite note on booking. Fatima whatever her name is.. rude as hell. Should not be front desk.

The rooms are small but a good size for NYC and the rooms were clean. The hotel itself needs some updating--like our tub could use resurfacing but it is not a big deal. I prefer to use a hotel in NYC for sleeping between destinations. I also appreciate the security at the hotel.

Hilton Garden Inn has been my go-to hotel while i am in New York ever since my first stay back in 2024. The location is superb; the room is comfortable and large by New York standards. The bed is comfortable and the sheets were clean. Room service came almost every day except on the holiday. The restaurant staff are amazing especially Alma and Eduardo. They made our dining experience comfortable and always remember what our preference was for hot chocolate. The bell guy was also amazing and very helpful and front desk personnel were helpful and very pleasant. I'd definitely stay here again on my next visit I'd really love a bit more variety on the continental breakfast but other than that, i have no complaints.
- 3/5
Location is great. The rooms at the back of the hotel are quiet. Only 8 rooms per floor, Rooms facing the street are very noisy from the outside during the night. We had to change rooms in order to be able to sleep after the first night. Breakfast is mediocre.
- 4/5
Location is excellent Room was clean, and good size. I wish I had a view. The only bad thing was the Hotel does not have a place for guests to eat, where buying food outside. There is not place in the rooms either. You need tables for the guest.

Great location. Friendly, attentive reception staff. Dated, run-down rooms that desperately need painting. Worst of all, the elevators weren't working! The day we left (we only stayed one night), after waiting what felt like forever, my family and I had no choice but to take the stairs: twenty floors with our bags! You can draw your own conclusions.

The location is amazing! If we come back I would take exactly the same location. Very safe, and great starting point! The hotel itself would be even better if they renew a bit. The linen felt old, rooms are very small but I guess ok for Manhattan. For breakfast, first 5 days out of our 9 days stay, the options for breakfast were very basic (bagels, cream cheese, fruits, cereals, mils and yogurt). We were told if we want anything else from the menu like scrambled eggs, we need to pay additionally (+ $20 based on the menu price). After that apparently eggs, pancakes some meat became available for everyone but we were not informed by the stuff. Note that our breakfast was included in the total price.

The location was excellent and very convenient for exploring Manhattan. It was within walking distance of Midtown to the north and the Chelsea/Flatiron area to the south, making it easy to get around and enjoy the city. The neighborhood offered great access to restaurants, shops, and public transportation. The hotel was incredibly noisy, and the sound insulation was very poor. The windows did little to block outside noise, so we woke up multiple times during the night, often between 2:00 and 3:00 a.m., because of the constant street activity. There are several flower shops on the street, and deliveries, loading operations, and garbage collection trucks seemed to be active throughout the night. On top of that, frequent sirens made it even harder to sleep. A good night's sleep is one of the most basic expectations from a hotel stay, and unfortunately this property failed to provide that. Overall, the experience did not reflect the level of comfort and quality I would expect from a Hilton property.

The breakfast. The room was very noisy. I asked for a change to a higher room but it was not given. The shower mixing valve broke and it was not possible to have a shower. It was either way too hot or way to cold. It was reported but not fixed.

Staff was outstanding. Front desk and bellman remembered me from my stay 8 months ago. Kind and friendly staff. Location is perfect. Its 1 block from the 1 train station which is convenient for uptown and downtown tourist attractions. I turned on the shower and water from a broken hose shout up into the air and all over me and the floor. The hose was broken at the base of the handle. I was meeting a group for dinner in an hour and the front desk got me into another room within 20 minutes. Other than that I loved my stay. Im in NYC often and choose this hotel for the convenience and excellent customer service.
- 5/5
Rooms was clean. Staff helpful. Continental breakfast was sufficient. Parking was nice but you had to walk around the block. But you didn’t have to look for a parking spot in NYC.
- 4/5
This was our second stay here. We enjoy the location of the hotel! Our first stay was incredible & the staff was very accommodating. This last stay was still enjoyable, however there are a few things that could have been a little better. Our next door neighbor was smoking weed & it made our room for the first two days smell like it. The conditioner on the bathroom wall fell off on this first day- simple maintenance fix. The cleaning staff also took all our towels and accidentally forgot to add new ones. The front desk was great about getting some to our room. Overall the stay was still great & we will be coming back here in the future!
- 5/5
Nice rooms. Staff was very friendly.
- 5/5
The staff was excellent, extremely polite, and always willing to help with anything we needed. The hotel’s location was perfect and very convenient for getting around New York City. The breakfast was more than sufficient, with good variety and quality. Sometimes there was a short wait for the elevator, especially during busy hours.
- 4.5/5
Room was comfy, clean, spacious (even for NYC!!). Excellent location, the train just at the end of the block. Checkin lady was kinda rude, they got my last name wrong in the reservation and she was very unpleasant to talk to when checking in

There is supposed to be breakfast, but the restaurant area is probably the worst feature. There are old faded artificial flowers that look dirty and sad. The area looks nothing like the pictures in the listing and the price of the breakfast is very expensive for what is offered.

During this stay, however, there was a day when housekeeping failed to come to the room, even after I alerted front desk staff. Expecting daily housekeeping is a low bar. The Hilton Garden Inn failed on that score.

Friendly, helpful staff in an excellent location, good value. Could use some paint, refreshed wall paper. The non-dairy creamers for the coffee had gone bad.

No shower curtains in the bathroom when we arrived at night, lot of outlets not working, telephone not working, no hot water in the morning, the fridge was also not working, no bedskirts in the beds (just the raw mattress box), dirty walls, the bed coverlet torn out. In addition, it is a very noisy location due the flowers deliveries held from 3am till morning.
- 5/5
The location was also great. The only downside was the elevators. Since it’s a very large building with only two elevators, it sometimes took several minutes to go down because they were often very busy.
- 2/5
The location is very convenient and great! The rooms are outdated and not clean. I would spend the money for a different hotel next time.
- 5/5
Great location with nice sized, clean rooms!
- 3/5
The location is really good. Easy access to most of the main attraction and metro for the ones far from the city center. Breakfast was too simple. The room cleaning was also not at Hilton level. Maybe it's an old building.

When we checked in the staff was okay, I am a Hilton honors and they charged me for waters . I requested a high floor I got a low flow , the room was clean but lots of issues with the room that made it look old and broken there was stains on the roof broken and pudy back together in the bathroom and walls and ceiling was falling off and their was mold in the corner of the tub. I asked for extra pillows and their service as not available and never got any the whole 4 days. The only thing good was the location other than that not a good stay - go anywhere else close to this hotel would be better.
- 5/5
Amazing! Staff is super friendly and helpful (both reception and cleaning staff), position is absolutely great, cleaning is perfect and service very good! Reserved a King Bed on high floor. Upon checking in we were NOT informed that the King wasn't avaliable. We were given our room keys and surprised when we opened the door to find two full beds. When we returned to lobby we were told the hotel was completely booked. Our complaint was that the clerk didn't tell us ahead of time. To make matters worse the beds were very flimsy and uncomfortable. I've stayed here before had had better experiences. Of the hundreds of stats with Hilton, this has to have been the worst.
- 3.5/5
Location and very comfortable beds. Breakfast was unforgivably bad. Only sweet options , no eggs, no ham, or sausage or any other kind of meat. If you want to have something more decent, you need to pay extra besides what you have already payed for, and the prices were 20$ and above...

The staff was very understanding of the issues we were having. Our shower was inoperable for 2 days of our stay. A technician came to fix it. He assured us the problem was resolved, unfortunately the next morning the water was boiling hot, and unable to change temperature. We then were asked to allow maintenance in the room because the shower started to cause a leak in the hallway and the room below us. They then had maintenance constantly in and out of or room during the last 2 days of our stay. They did offer a one night refund which was much appreciated. However I would have liked to have been moved to a room with a working shower, no leaks, and a revolving door of maintenance personnel in the room.

Location. Carpet was unclean with chucks of hair from previous guests. Bathtub was unclean with lots of gunk. The cabinets and furniture were ridden with dust. No complementary toiletry. Bed covers had a lot of dust and did not smell good. Some staff were rude. No eggs in any shape or form in breakfast (not continental breakfast as advertised). Overall quite bad

I was overcharged to the tune of 200 dollars when I called back to say that the price adjustment on the room did not match what I had documented from Expedia the front desk woman shouted and refused to give me her name. I chose the pay at property option and received no help from Expedia. I won’t be booking with Expedia or this hotel moving forward.
- 4/5
Great location! Subway stations close by. It seems like everything is 20mins subway ride away
- 5/5
Only stayed for one night but the hotel room was clean and property well maintained. Front desk staff was very helpful when trying to figure out parking. I love being a Hilton Honors member! Check in and check out was a breeze.
- 5/5
Good for families!
- 2/5
The maid service did not come every day, the garbage cans are tiny, so the garbage cans were always overflowing! I wanted maid service every day and never put the "come back later" tag on my door. I came back to my room after a long day out in the city to dirty towels, overflowing garbage cans, no toilet paper or tissue, I called to complain to the front desk and still no one came to straighten up my room. What amenities? There are none that I was aware of, the only thing this hotel has going for it is the location.
- 4/5
The A/C unit may look outdated but it works like a new one. I had to keep any eye on the temp to keep it from freezing me out, lol. And when the exterior temps dropped, the heating worked perfect. When it comes time to shower... LOTS of hot water. After a long day of pounding the pavement, the hot water helped soothe my tired muscles.
- 5/5
The staff was welcoming and helpful. Room was clean and had ample amenities! Would recommend!

Even though breakfast was included in my room, I never received the necessary voucher on check-in, and then was treated rather rudely by the man at breakfast when I walked in without a voucher. Every single staff member was friendly and helpful.. The room was a decent size for a NY hotel. there is a discount code for the parking garage around the corner. A little bit run down.

The breakfast was basic not worth $25/person. Rooms were outdated I had a room with transparency curtains so you can see all the lights and the bright sunshine in the morning. Complained to front desk and comped us breakfast but I did not sleep well.

The location was excellent and all the staff we interacted with were very helpful. That said, the hotel has definitely been around a while and it shows. Rooms were clean but worn. Perhaps oddest of all - wifi, towel service and TP(!) were all stingy. Rates were lower than neighboring hotels, so stay if you want a NYC bargain, but know what you're getting.
- 4/5
The staff was very polite and helpful.
- 3/5

The breakfast is a scam . They charged me for it and then told me it’s only continental and you have to pay to order food. On the website it says free breakfast and then you pay money as you book but that’s a scam and false advertisement. You only get fruits bread and yogurt in continental. Front desk staff is rude and misleading.Rest of the staff is pretty good including the staff that serves food. City view they sell is also a scam .
- 5/5

Kim the front desk clerk was very helpful. She always had a smile and sent text messages everyday seeing how was your day and if you need anything. Thank you Kim for making our stay a wonderful experience. Room needs some updates. Window had a large crack, and bathroom need to relocate the area where they have the shampoo conditioner and body wash to one area.

Overall stay was great, room was ok and the location is incredible.
- 1/5
All is well that ends well, I suppose. But it didn’t start well. We had booked and prepaid (!) 2 rooms for 4 adults on the Expedia app. But when we arrived late at night, the front desk was only willing to give us 1 room for 2 adults. He blamed Expedia and recommended that we book the second room with Hilton directly and request a refund from Expedia. It took 2 hours on the phone with Expedia and an awkward conversation with the front desk to sort out the second room. Apart from this nasty surprise on our arrival late at night, the rest of our stay was pleasant, the hotel was clean and well appointed, the location great.

The reception and breakfast staff very welcoming. Great location in Chelsea.

Staff was great, super helpful, and very nice. Rooms were clean, would’ve loved a little heavier blankets/comforters and more pillows.
- 2.5/5
Location The AC/heat was hard to get to the right temperature. The shower soap was never restocked. I expected the free Continental breakfast would at least include scrambled eggs.
- 5/5
Everything was wonderful! My only complaint is that the bed was super hard.
- 4/5
Clean room and courteous staff! Great location, near the subway!
- 4/5
Pillows and elevator speed were the only disappointments. But it is for the moderate traveller. No luxury items incl
- 5/5
Staff went above and beyond in helping with specific needs I needed for my trip! Fantastic experience.
- 5/5
The location of the hotel was convenient, but not noisy, and the staff was friendly, which was good.
- 3/5
The staff were excellent, very friendly, helpful, and attentive throughout our stay. The cleanliness of the hotel was also great, everything felt well maintained and organized. However, our room left a lot to be desired. The mattress was extremely uncomfortable, which made it difficult to rest properly, and the shower was broken, which was quite frustrating. The location is okay, convenient enough but nothing particularly special. I have stayed at other hotels from this brand before and had much better experiences. Unfortunately, this particular stay did not meet my expectations. Because of the condition of the room, I would not return or recommend this location.
- 3/5
While the room was clean and the staff friendly, the bed was awful. It had a dent in it and needed to be replaced.
- 5/5
Great location and nice, comfy, clean rooms
- 2/5
Not very clean.
- 5/5
Disappointed with the breakfast, there were not a good variety of food the price they charge.
- 5/5
Airport shuttle was good. The room was clean. Beds were comfortable. Loved the location. Staff was friendly and helpful. Lady at the desk remembered me and called my room when I left my phone downstairs.
- 4/5
This hotel was fine. It was not the cleanest and there was significant t wear and tear in the room but overall accommodations were good for the price.
- 5/5
The room was clean, the beds were comfortable, and the staff was friendly and accommodating.

Great location for Manhattan
- 5/5
The price is solid for this area of NYC - super accessible to trains and most major areas. The staff were incredibly kind and accommodating - they truly went above and beyond for my stay and I am so grateful. My work trip had multiple last-minute changes and they made it happen when they could. This hotel is pretty standard and no frills - does what you need it to do for a decent price. The higher floors seem to be generally quieter. I did have one night where some kids next to my new room were making a ton of noise, but the staff almost immediately responded to my notice and politely asked them to quiet down. They even got me into another room to help me have a good night's sleep. I'm really grateful for this place during my work trip and would absolutely stay again.
- 5/5
Everything you need is within a good walking distance

Housekeeping needs to do a better job. I stayed for 6 nights, and they never gave me more toilet paper. By my last day, I was lucky not to run out! Lackluster cleaning job, hair still on sink upon my return, dust rag left on desk. Pillows are too soft and flat, so I asked for two more one evening upon my return at the front desk. I was flatly told, "no- housekeeping were gone for the night". I mean, what does it take housekeeping to get me two pillows? Also, on a previous stay, they used to offer a full breakfast buffet, with eggs, bacon, etc.... but now it is just cold continental breakfast buffet. They do offer entrees, but the omelet was lackluster and very overpriced. Better to go to the bodega around the corner for a omelet twice as good for less than half the price.
- 5/5
Very nice staff. Gear stay. Close to everything.
- 5/5
Room was clean, staff was helpful and thankfully it was close by a lot of shops.
- 4/5
It was great having a mini fridge and microwave in the room. It was it was clean and the staff was quite accommodating.

When we arrived they said they didn’t have an available room even though we made the reservation months in advance. They sent us to a different hotel to stay for a night, then told us to come back the following morning and they would have a room for us. Once we finally got in a room at the establishment the shower drain was hardly draining at all. The water was up to your ankles when showering. I notified the hotel and I assume they worked on it but it still wasn’t working properly during our stay. Arriving from out of town after traveling majority of the day and not having a room to stay in is completely unacceptable. They blamed it on system issues but I would be inclined to say they most likely gave our room away. Needless to say we will never use that hotel again.

The hotel is showing its age a bit, but some minor maintenance issues could be easily fixed with some care. Location is good...a quiet street. I bit of a walk to Times Square but not far from Penn Station. Subway station for the number 1 train is at the end of the block.

Clean room, comfy beds, small room but ample for just a few days in the city. Convenient location to MSG area. Coffee in the morning was a nice touch. Elevators were a bit slow at busy times. It is located in the flower district so every morning you could see the flowers and shrubs pushed out onto the sidewalk. I would stay here again if I was headed back to NYC.

But the room was clean, and the staff was friendly, which is enough reason for me to return to this hotel. I was also pleased to be near a subway station, and the area has plenty of food options.

The room was clean and exactly as advertised. The staff was attentive and pleasant. The hotel itself is in a nice area in Chelsea. Far enough away from Times Square to be quieter, but close enough for a short train ride to the action. Really enjoyed our stay. Would definitely recommend.

Great service and clean room
- 3/5
The location was perfect for what we needed and the staff was very nice and they tried to be accommodating. Unfortunately we just found the beds very uncomfortable. They felt like air mattresses with only half the air in them. We also had a coffee pot that leaked which I did mention to the front expecting it to get fixed but it never did.
- 4/5
Great customer service, great location, great city view from my room
- 4/5
Bathroom felt a little dingy. Staff was kind and helpful. We did check in 2 hours before our room was ready and when we came back at 3:30 pm the room still was not prepared. We had to push in order to get a room before 4:00 pm.
- 5/5
Everything was great, customer service and the room was clean. Excelent location, definitely will be coming back, I recommend it highly.
- 5/5
Room was great for the price!
- 5/5
Loved it
- 3/5
Everyone was friendly , but the hotel is very much dated , the beds are very old, with stains on the box spring. I was scared I was going g to see bed bugs. The bathroom, was a mess the toilet seat needs to be replaced. Walls had like mold stains on it. I call ask for a blanket, she advised that housekeeping was not there, so I had to sleep with my jacket on , because I was cold .
- 5/5
Clean, comfortable, warm, and close to Times Square’s.
- 3/5
We booked through Orbitz and chose this hotel from other similar hotels on the block because it offered a "high floor" room. We were put on the 9th of a 20-something floor hotel, next to the ice machine. When we asked about our promised "high floor" room, they said that since we booked through Orbitz, this was not guaranteed. They could not accommodate a higher floor for any part of our one-week stay. Disappointing, to say the least. They did not even seem remotely sorry about the whole thing. If they sell Orbitz a room with this type of guarantee, and we choose it because of the guarantee, we should get the guaranteed and advertised room. Otherwise, the room was clean.
- 2/5
Staff denying banging in broken elevator at 6:15 am. Only one chair. Irregular room cleaning.
- 5/5
Spotless room, great amenities and friendly staff. We had a medical emergency on site and the nearby housekeeping staff rushed to help. Soon, the manager came as well to check on us. He stayed to make sure all was ok and once it was, he offered extra time in the room before checkout for rest and recovery. We will return, thank you!
- 5/5
Great
- 4/5
The staff were friendly and courteous. Breakfast was great and reasonably priced. Bathroom shower had a forceful head and a flimsy shower curtain. Great that the room had a microwave, and a sizable fridge, but Keurig coffee machine was fickle.
- 5/5
Super clean
- 5/5
The staff were extremely polite and helpful!
- 5/5
Everything was up to par.
- 5/5
Helpful cheerful staff.
- 5/5
The room was good, a bit small, close time square [ 14 min walking distance, we had arriving delay due to the winter storm, they accommodate and made the changes for us.. Thank you
- 2/5
The bed was very uncomfortable and the bathrooms sink was stopped up and the shower water sprayed everywhere. The heater was extremely loud. We chose the room for value and convenience so I understood it was not going to be 5 star however the accomodations were very poor unfortunately.
- 4/5
Everything good
- 5/5
All excellent!!
- 5/5
Solid room. Clean.
- 5/5
Great stay!
- 4/5
Room was basic but satisfactory. The only complaint is that it was never serviced -- I got in late my second night there to find that nothing had been cleaned or refreshed, and it was too late to have anything done about it.
- 5/5
Fantastic stay
- 4/5
The front desk staff were really friendly and helpful. The room was clean and comfortable. I think the Hilton should provide house slippers and water for the room. The amenities were underwhelming.
- 5/5
Very friendly staff. We needed to add an extra night because of a winter storm and they worked it out so we didn’t need to switch rooms. Great location.
- 3/5
it’s outdated
- 4/5
Clean room, easy check in process, Friendly staff
- 4/5
The room was clean and near a lot. It was perfect for one night.
- 5/5

- 5/5
Friendly staff, clean room, excellent hot water
- 5/5
Great location, very clean and staff was excellent. Its over a flowe shop and you can smell the flowers that put out during the day and I thought that was awesome.
- 3/5
We attempted to connect to the TV via HDMI, and when our original controller did not work, we called for assistance. The maintenance staff member brought the same controller and informed us that we were not allowed to use the HDMI because it was “Hilton’s property” and referenced an alleged policy due to past issues with hackers and guests changing the TV language. This explanation felt inappropriate and unprofessional, especially coming from maintenance, and was not clearly communicated as an official hotel policy. Additionally, there were cleanliness concerns in our room. When we checked in, housekeeping was still cleaning and told us the room would be ready in five minutes. Despite this, we found hair in the shower, hair in one of the beds, and noticed that a fire alarm was missing from the room, which raised safety concerns. While we appreciated the kindness of the front desk staff, these issues impacted our overall experience and should be addressed to maintain the standard expected at a Hilton property.
- 4/5
Great location, comfortable room, & incredibly nice staff. This is my second time staying at this location - easy access to subway, walkable to many places things I wanted to do. There are definitely things that could be improved (slow elevators, there can be a lot of noise) - but for the price (and understanding that you’re in the middle of the city), not a big deal. I would stay here again for the right price.
- 5/5
Great area
- 4/5
Overall the room served its purpose. It was rather small for 2 people. The first day there was only one elevator working. My room was near the maids area where they congregated and they woke us up every morning. Other than that it was ok
- 2/5
Everyday i have to call for something we need like toilet paper, tea, coffee, towels, facial tissues and toiletries need to be refill. Banging of doors was frequent and annoying. Draft coming in through the front door. All key cards didnt work at one time and someone who didnt look happy.let us all in to our room. The blinds wasn't working at all. An emplyee who deliver something we need and brought the wrong item didnt apologise when i complain onstead shook his head. On one occasion i calked housekeeping department to ask if there is a housekeeper for that day and she replied with " of course we do"..i worked for 10 years at Hilton Brisbane , Australia and surely my experience with Hilton Garden Inn, Manhattan Chelsea was not totally satisfying. Employees need to be trained properly and senior management as well. Guests should be treated with utmost importance because otherwise these employees will have no job!
- 5/5
Our room was clean and the temperature was good. We enjoyed our stay.
- 5/5
The staff were so warm and inviting. They were really helpful in giving us pointers. The room was clwan and warm.
- 3/5
Staff were extremely friendly. Good location
- 5/5
Great staff, clean and good area of town
- 3/5
Room in fair condition. Front desk help wonderful
- 5/5
This hotel exceeded all my expectations. The rooms were clean, comfortable, and well-equipped, and the staff was extremely friendly and helpful throughout our stay. The atmosphere was welcoming and relaxing, making it a perfect place to unwind. I would definitely recommend this hotel and would be happy to stay here again.
- 4/5
Room was clean, cozy, and as described. Breakfast, off the menu, was good and quick service. Check in/out was easy. Two issues...toilet took some time to flush...never overflowed but acted like it wanted to; housekeeping uses the same elevators as guests which causes delays...especially during check-in times where it took up to 25 minutes just to get in the elevatore.
- 4/5
The room was efficient. Light was burnt out on coffee shelf. Coffee shelf was too low for the coffee machine. Outside our door was a lot of equipment stored like vacuum cleaners, ladders, broken ice maker and other junk. Other than that it was an ok stay. Next time we will try a different hotel. Didn’t try breakfast there were better restaurants to visit.
- 5/5
Enjoyed my stay very much. If I go back to New York, I would have no hesitation staying there again.
- 4/5
Room was a bit dated and some areas in need of fixing up but comfortable bed and adequate bathroom. Staff was amazing!
- 5/5
Room was modern. Great location with easy access to food and subway!
- 5/5
The rooms were very clean, well equipped and spacious. The staff were also very attentive, pleasant and responsive.
- 4/5

- 5/5
Staff was exceptionally pleasant!
- 1/5
Bad service, bad elevator, bad front desk service..
- 4/5
Great staff, easy check in
- 5/5
Very accessible to many places - restaurants, subway, tourist spots
- 3/5
Overpriced for amenities offered.
- 3/5
Staff was great! Carpet is gross and old, window shade broken. Need some money put back into the establishment.
- 5/5
The location was great, but the staff at this hotel was amazing! Everyone we came in contact with was so nice and attentive. We will definitely stay here again on future trips.
- 5/5

- 5/5

- 5/5

- 4/5
Staff is amazing!
- 4/5
The staff and the location were the best parts. The hotel itself is quite worn but it was clean and the staff was responsive.
- 5/5
Lovely hotel with amazingly friendly staff!! Location is perfect for walking or subway. Will recommend and stay again in future
- 5/5
Clean room, friendly staff and great location
- 3/5
The good thing about this property is its close distance to many attractions in New York City. An additional bonus is a parking place which is very close. Forget about Continental Breakfast. There are many places nearby which serves breakfast.
- 4/5
The location is perfect and the staff is really nice. The room itself is nothing to be excited about but it works ok. The heater/aircon is really loud so however you need to adjust the temp in the room - do it while you are out exploring. Big must to shut it off at night if you want to sleep. But location and price made it worth it.
- 3/5
Staff was friendly and accommodating. The hotel itself left a lot to be desired. Overall pretty crappy and rundown. It was still a comfortable stay. Wouldn’t go out of my way to stay here again, but wasn’t bad for the price.
- 4/5
Clean rooms, housekeeping came daily. The complimentary breakfast was very poor, that was my one complaint!
- 3/5
Location is great, everything else was very meh. The room didn’t even have blackout curtains. Would not stay here again.
- 5/5
Nice front desk
- 4/5
Staff and location are the top things here.
- 5/5
All around awesomeness

- 5/5
Great stay!! My mom and I just spent 3 nights here and I would recommend this hotel to anyone! The location is perfect! Down the street from Macys and a few blocks away from Bryant Park. Will be back for sure! Thank you!
- 5/5
The staff was amazing and met all of our needs. We had fresh towels and sheets daily!
- 5/5
Staff was fantastic, polite, courteous and very helpful
- 4/5
Clean room. A little run down, but pretty spacious for a NYC hotel with two beds. We were not there other than to sleep so it was just what we needed. Great location.
- 5/5
Staff Clean room.
- 2/5
The staff was helpful and the location was great, however the hotel was awful. We had a room with two queen beds and 4 people in it. EVERY day they gave us towels for 3 and we had to constantly ask for more. The beds were so uncomfortable. When you sat on the edge both the mattress and box springs squashed down. We kept rolling towards the middle together. Our backs were killing us. One of the box springs had a few blood stains on it. The paint inside the bathtub was flaking off. The heating unit was incredibly noisy and the refrigerator had a loud hum all night. Housekeeping did not replenish our coffee/cups/sugar packs when they were gone. It was really run down and we paid almost $800 night because it was the period during the Tree Lighting.
- 5/5
Clean rooms. Pleasant staff. Excellent neighborhood. Walked to many attractions. Will stay again in the future
- 2/5
Housekeeping woke me up at 6 AM, asking if I was the one who needed a shower curtain. Seriously?
- 3/5
Breakfast pricing is too expensive A great bagel store at the corner was excellent and 1/4 the price Staff is not trained. Bellman usually has a smile, but makes a huge racket starting earlier than 7 am when putting supplies near our room on the 9th floor. And when confronted, he defended his action instead of apologizing. You need more common area. The bathroom light in the basement automatically turns off when in a stall. Change or add to the detector. Finally, the front desk personnel were FANTASTIC
- 3/5
Breakfast wasn’t included after I paid almost $160
- 5/5
Everything was amazing
- 4/5
This was a three day family trip to celebrate a birthday. We loved this hotel and the location. It was walkable to all the things we wanted to do and convenient to the subways as well. The service staff was super helpful in the room was comfortable and clean. I would definitely stay here again.
- 1/5
Beds were super uncomfortable and bathroom was dirty (hair all over the place). Called front desk and they were gonna send someone to clean the bathroom again. When we got back, it seemed just as dirty with just as many hairs (if not more).
- 4/5
Room was spotless. Staff very friendly and courteous. The rooms were small though.
- 4/5
Room was clean and in decent shape, could hear lots of noise from hallways and street level.
- 5/5
Room is ok but just NY standard, soundproofing works well
- 5/5
restaurant so much!! Your hotel is LOVELY and I hope I would be welcome as a visitor SOON!!!
- 5/5
Staff was very helpful
- 3/5
Window was missing a blackout curtain and had light coming in, room phone wasnt working, i had to go down…receptionists response was inappropriate and rude. They eventually found me another room. Expected a better room, and much better service.
- 4/5
Clean room, comfy beds, very nice staff.
- 4/5
Basic but clean and functional hotel in a great location
- 4/5
Hotel was great. Neighborhood is noisy. Not normal city noise.
- 4/5
Great location, very helpful staff
- 5/5
Clean room, responsive staff, great location near the subway and good restaurants.
- 5/5
Good location, friendly staff
- 5/5
I atay here, every few months. The employees are like friends. Room is always clean. Great location. Close to Empire state bldg, Madison Square Garden, Hudson yards. See yall again in January
- 5/5
I love this hotel. It’s our second stay here, and it’s definitely one of the hotels with roomier rooms. No problem with cleanliness. The staff has always been great. It’s a great location in flower alley with two different subway lines on each end of the block. Will definitely return!
- 5/5
Staff was very friendly and helpful
- 3/5
The room was ready 45 minutes after the posted check in time. The elevator was broken
- 5/5
I stayed here for five nights over marathon weekend. It was a good stay, close to the subway - right at the end of the block. The staff was very welcoming, and i had nice room on 15th floor. it was clean and (for NYC) spacious. I didn't take advantage of the breakfast, but did enjoy the free coffee. I would definitely return.
- 5/5
Nice and accommodating staff. Front desk was kind and held my bag at check in and check out and texted when room was ready.
- 4/5
Great location, clean rooms and friendly staff
- 4/5
Good sized room, great shower, super helpful staff.
- 1/5
Hotel was dirty, bed was lumpy and street was noisy. Hotel manager was great though and good enough to refund the whole stay. His actions and his way of dealing with the complaint was exceptional.
- 4/5
The staff was incredibly helpful. Room was spotless. Will stay again!
- 5/5
Clean room and the staff was super friendly and personable. Highly recommend!
- 3/5
Shower regulator knob was broken and didn’t get fixed until late on our second day. Tub needs resurfacing or updating. Toilet made a loud noise after flushing and didn’t stop for a few minutes. Phone system in room in terrible. Staff at front desk was great though.
- 3/5
Our stay in your hotel was great, thanks to its excellent location, which made it easy to visit the tourist attractions on foot. However, we did notice a few areas for improvement. The cleaning staff didn't vacuum or clean the floors and carpets in our room for the entire week of our stay. Additionally, the sheets didn't appear to be changed during our stay, which was a concern. The noise levels around the hotel were also quite high throughout the night. Despite these issues, the location was truly a highlight.
- 3/5
Room was small but functional; location was good; only 2 elevators for all 20+ floors and 1 broke down so had to walk down with luggage from room
- 5/5
Very helpful staff.
- 5/5
Great location
- 5/5
Friendly staff, clean rooms
- 2/5
We were given a room on the 15th floor near a laundry shoot. EVERY morning around 5/6am I was awakened by loud thuds and my room door rattling. Everything else about the hotel was good. But if you want to rest there, be sure your room is not near a laundry shoot!
- 4/5
We found being in the Flower District to just be a joy to be right in the middle of when we walked out of the hotel. Also, the ease of getting transportation made getting around quite easy. Room was quaint, but clean and the newly renovationed rooms were nice. I particularly liked the fact that the room had a mini fridge and microwave.
- 5/5
Staff- there was problem with room keys. The staff was SUPER FRIENDLY. I had to be escorted to my room several times but staff was always standing by and quick. Will definitely be back!
- 5/5
Friendly staff, clean rooms, easy walk to subway & main attractions. For a weekend visit great location.
- 2/5
Lastly, this isn't the hotel staffs' responsibility, but the noise outside at night is so loud. It felt like I had my window open from how clear and loud I could hear everything, so it made sleeping very rough.
- 4/5
Air conditioning & hot showers were great too!
- 5/5
Fantastic hotel! Loved being among flower stores as soon as you step out!
- 4/5
Staff was extremely friendly and accomodating. Building was on the older side.
- 5/5
Front desk staffs very helpful 😇
- 3/5
.
- 5/5
The hotel was clean and in a great location. The staff were very friendly and helpful.
- 5/5
It’s good
- 1/5
I tried to open the window to air it out, and guess what? On the 10th floor there are no locks or any kind of safety mechanism preventing the window from opening all the way. If you get drunk, sleepwalk, have kids with disabilities, or have toddlers, you might be leaving your stay with fewer people than you checked in with.
- 5/5
Location
- 3/5
USB ports were plentiful, but none of them worked. Porter was very helpful and friendly. We did not eat breakfast there. Too expensive. $18.95 each. Went around the corner to McDonald’s. Parking garage was 1 block away. $50 a day, as long as you did not go in and out. Traffic on the street in front of hotel was absolutely terrible but guess that is to be expected for New York City. Would not complain about the $350 a night if the street had not looked like a business alley. Very junky with wholesale flower and plant venders and their stock filling the sidewalks and even the street. Lots of homeless people scrounging around outside. One guy was screaming obscenities. Think the hotel door guy should be out there to shoo them away.
- 5/5
This hotel is in the heart of the flower district and close to the subway, dining and shopping. The staff was very helpful, kind and knowledgeable.
- 5/5
Rooms had convenient charging areas and lighting. Bathrooms had counter space and hooks. The little things that really make a difference.
- 5/5
Clean rooms and staff was very helpful would definitely stay again
- 4/5
It was a good location. The staff was friendly. Everything was as expected
- 3/5
the area is not good
- 4/5
The staff was very friendly and the room was nice. Several days one of the two elevators were not working and we were in the 21st floor. The toilet in our room ran constantly even though we let the front desk know it on our first day. But we felt safe in the area, good food and great bakery nearby (Paris Bageute), and close to subway.
- 1/5
• The body shampoo had run out. • Although four of us stayed, only three towels were provided.
- 3/5
Fire alarm went off at 2 AM the first night.
- 4/5
Location and customer service is the key to this property. Friendly, respectful and informative staff. Location is perfect to go anywhere in the city! The property is in need of upgrades, but isn't a deterrent to a comfortable stay. Recommend!
- 2/5
Some staff were unnecessarily rude when checking in
- 4/5
Room was fine. Location was unlucky.
- 3/5
The hotel seemed to be in need of quite a few repairs and updates. The bathroom sink in my room was leaking, one of the two elevators was out of order and the tv in my room wasn’t able to get a signal.
- 4/5
Great for basic stay if seeing something at MSG. 5 minute walk and closer to other things. But hotel room not cleanest… broken toilet seat, outlets hanging out wall and fridge not super cold. But ac worked well! Staff super friendly and helpful and no parking but garage close by has hotel rate with stamped ticket.
- 5/5
Really nice rooms, great staff, and good area.
- 4/5
Very nice, clean. Perfect for just one person & short stay.
- 4/5
Great location near Times Square and Midtown attractions. Simple amenities but enough for a comfortable stay.
- 3/5
the hotel has 24 floors and 2 elevators. this morning one was out of service though no way to see that on floor 20. and the elevator call buttons did not work on floor 20 for the one elevator that was working. the call light went out as though elevator had arrived but no elevator. i hauled my luggage down 10 floors by the emergency stairs before seeing a cleaner who told me what was happening.
- 4/5
We had a great time at the Hilton Garden Inn in Chelsea. The only complaint we had was that the AC wasn't powerful enough for the hot weekend, but otherwise it was great. The bathtub had some chiped lining near the drain as well, but it didn't bother us that much.
- 2/5
The staff during breakfast was great! Lovely people.
- 4/5
Good location, okay facility, elevator was broken, we had to walk down from 23rd floor.
- 4/5
Nice room, weird beeping noise that they could not fix.
- 3/5
The staff and location
- 5/5
Great location for the tours we had planned. Would stay again
- 2/5
Small room not near much
- 4/5
Our stay was nice! The two ladies at the front desk were very pleasant and helpful. Mrs Kim and Lorraine. Kim got us checked in early with no problem and she was very personable. The room was neat and clean with a few minor updates needed. We enjoyed the location with zero complaints.
- 1/5
First room only has transparent mesh window covering. We had to pack all luggage and then move to another room the next day. The second room has a blind that is not working. So only half of the window is covered by it. Terrible experience, will no return.
- 3/5
Blinds were broken in my room!
- 5/5
First of all, kudos to the staff! The front desk team was fun, welcoming, and always in great spirits. The doorman was incredibly friendly and helpful as well. I’ve already saved this hotel for a future stay because of the wonderful experience. Truly excellent!
- 5/5
My stay was excellent. The Hotel staff was nice and super helpful. The woman that was our housekeeper on the 6th floor was helpful and attentive. Everything was within walking distance. There was plenty of shopping and different restaurants which had options for all of our dietary needs. Time Square and Broadway were minutes away. Korean town was also a short distance away which was another location we enjoyed during our visit. I will definitely be staying here again.

Loved this property. Close to everything!!!

A nice place to catch the late afternoon in August

Great location in the heart of Chelsea’s Flower District!
- 5/5
Great location in Chelsea, close to everything.
- 2/5
A lot of noise as they were maintaining the sliding entrance hotel doors all the week, it was noisy at a point we couldnt hear each other talk during breakfast nor had nor had our coffee i peace.
- 5/5
This property was so clean and nice! Very friendly staff and a great location.
- 5/5
The staff were so friendly and helpful
- 4/5
We enjoyed our 2 queen size beds which is unusual in NYC. The location was fairly convenient and not far from restaurants and transit. The staff were friendly and coffee in am enjoyable. The option to check luggage had no fee. The room could use minor service as tub had peeling surfaces and the phone in room did not function. The room had features including microwave and refrigerator. Overall the hotel is convenient for tourists with the beauty of the garden district without Times Square stress and noise.
- 4/5
The building is old but renovated with some monor issues. Great place for a short stay. Very accessible but high rate for the building.
- 3/5
Hotel was clean, staff was accommodating, ac and fridge in one of the rooms was broken or not working well. They were quick to fix it the fridge would not stay closed.
- 5/5
Fantastic
- 5/5
Great peoperty
- 5/5
Comfortable, clean and location, location, location. This hotel is just steps from a subway station and Uber drivers arrive within 1 minute. Only a 20 minute walk to Times Square, near McDonald's, 7 Eleven, affordable pizza for convenience... and the staff are amazing!
- 5/5
Perfect for what we needed! Comfy bed, clean, great location.
- 5/5
Good location, easy access and close to Empire State and Time Square.
- 4/5
Great small rooms
- 5/5
Had a great stay with the wife and kids. The room was simple, no-frills, but nice and clean and a decent size (for midtown Manhattan) with 2 queen beds. Both elevators were working just fine. It's a short walk from Penn Station if you take the train into the city. It's very close to the subway and bus stops with many food options within walking distance. We would definitely stay again.
- 5/5
Great stay!
- 3/5
Room was clean and comfortable. Loud in hallway, easily heard in room. Bar and grille was closed, only open for breakfast. Lobby and elevators dated.
- 5/5
Nice and friendly staff! Convenient to dining and shopping
- 5/5
Was there for wwe summerslam and was very confident to get to metlife via NJ transit at Madison square garden
- 3/5
The continental breakfast was very hearty.
- 5/5
Location to the subway was excellent.
- 4/5
Basement washroom, gym a little rough.
- 4/5
The location is very convenient with easy access to multiple subway lines. The staff is so friendly and kind. They offer free coffee and paid breakfast in the dining hall every morning. We liked bagels from nearby places (delis, bagel places, coffee shops). You're also very close to Korean Town, which offers very good Korean BBQ.
- 5/5
Had a great stay at the Hilton , clean and staff was very attentive. Would definitely come back on my next trip
- 4/5
Hotel room allocated for us was excellent with good big space, microwave and coffee maker and plus factor of good size refrigerator. Reception service was good and friendly. The only downside was the cleaning services. Our room bathroom and beds were made but the carpet/floor was not properly cleaned. I tested to leave a small suze trash under the table, wasnt cleaned for 2 days, it was only cleaned when I requested again for cleaning. Cleaners dont even smile and talk. They also dont check/change the shower gels/shampoo&conditioner. Otherwise, overall the hotel is very good. Location is excellent.
- 5/5
This is our second time in Hilton Garden and It is always good. The only thing is the cleaner does not clean the room well, the floor/carpet is always dirty although the cleaner said she cleaned it. They dont check/refil the shower gel/shampoo, you have to look for them and ask for it. But overall, the service in the reception was good and the hotel rooms are bigger.
- 3/5
Old property.
- 3/5
The people were very friendly and helpful, but the rooms were just ok. Plenty of towels but the kids complained about their bed smelling like smoke. Could use some updating but decent room for being a 10 min walk to MSG.
- 5/5
The beds were cozy and comfortable—perfect for a good rest after a long day of walking. There were several lunch & dinner options near the hotel as well. The rooms were clean, and the hotel restaurant offered a variety of breakfast choices. I really don’t have any negative points about this hotel. The staff was very friendly, especially the restaurant staff like Alma and the other waiter (sorry, I forgot his name). If I get the chance to return to New York, this hotel would definitely be a great option. Several lunch options near from the hotel too. Clean bedrooms. several options to breakfast in the restaurant. I really don't have a negative point for this hotel. Very friendly staff, specially restaurant staff like Alma and the another waitress man (sorry I forgot the name) If I have a chance to go back to NY, this hotel would be a really good option to return.
- 5/5
Loved my stay
- 5/5
Property is in the perfect location; majority of the tourist attractions, restaurants are within walking distance. We had no trouble staying in the property.
- 5/5
JohnMarie, Kim & Michael are amazing. I love coming here, they're so friendly. Hotel is always clean and the room is a perfect size. The location is perfect for my needs.
- 3/5
For it to the a Hilton, I expected that place to be nicer. Our restroom needed a bit of love, especially at the ceiling.
- 3/5
The people at the front desk were great.

- 4/5
Great location and friendly staff! While the room could use some updating, we still enjoyed our stay overall. Would consider staying again for the convenience and service.
- 5/5
Property was a little worn but somewhat updated! Very clean !Easy walk to subway! Mostly flower shops on the street but some restaurants within a few blocks! Would have lined a safe in the room! Staff was very friendly and helpful!
- 4/5
We really liked the location of the hotel and proximity to a quick breakfast sandwich, coffee, subway station, etc. The rooms could use some hooks to hang up purses, towels, bags. Overall our room was quiet, we didn’t really hear our neighbors. We never really had to wait on an elevator. The hotel could use a little modernizing/renovating— one of the front doors is broken, there were stains/burns on the counter in our bathroom, just general wear and tear that comes with age. There was icy cold water at times in the lobby- it never seemed to be there at the same time, but it was so nice to come back and find it. Front desk staff were nice. We paid a $25 early check in fee on the day we arrived (the app had said $50 so I took it as a win). They also held our bags for us after check out which was so handy. Overall we were very happy with our stay!
- 5/5
found a couple non working ice machines..... ultra low water pressure and no included breakfast😢
- 4/5
Great location!
- 3/5
Basic, yet dated, hotel. Surprisingly quiet. Good location.
- 1/5
Front desk staff was unfriendly and unprofessional. AC unit was so loud we had trouble sleeping. Every time the toilet was flushed, there was a terrible screeching and wining sound. The sheets had holes in them. One of the two elevators was down a few times during my stay, so there was a long line in the lobby and it took over 8 minutes to get to the room. Bathroom was dirty and often housekeeping forgot to replace shower soap, toilet paper, tissue, and fully restock towels. Worst Hilton stay in my experience.
- 1/5
There were food stains and particles on the wall. Baseboards and walls had stains and chipping paint. The bathroom had damaged tub and toilet. The pillows had stains on them. I reported the bug issue and old food smeared on the wall to the front and requested to be moved to a different room. They accommodated my request to switch rooms. This hotel needs updating and better housekeeping standards.
- 4/5
This property was well situated in mid Manhattan in the garden district. The hotel is above average. Nothing really special but is good enough for a nice night's sleep. The staff were excellent and accommodating.
- 5/5
I love it, super clean. Very good customer service, I would recommend and definitely be staying here again.
- 5/5
Issues: lobby bathroom is in the basement. Room water almost scalded my daughter n she not a baby. No place to sit outfront. Pro: excellent location near EVERYTHING!!! Breakfast buffet free Sunday if you stay. Staff is was amazing.
- 5/5
I always like to come back
- 4/5
The Hilton garden inn in Chelsea is fine. It is convenient and clean overall but the gym doesn’t have a good ventilation with a moldy smell. The room is not big but considering its location, I would recommend this hotel.
- 3/5
This is a great affordable option for visiting nyc. This hotel is in the perfect location and is very convenient. I think it’s a straightforward option, but it could be cleaner (especially the bathroom). The bathroom would be better if there was a new toilet and shower. We also noticed that a lot of the staff members weren’t typically in the lobby and our phone did not work at all in our room so we were unable to call for help and additional assistance. However, when staff was available, typically in the mornings, they were always very welcoming and nice. Overall, I think this is a good option for people that are on a budget, but I wouldn’t stay there again, but I think it got the job done particularly for my first time in New York.
- 5/5
Even a refreshing water in the lobby

- 4/5
Perfect for a city break.
- 3/5
Staff very friendly. Carpet wasn’t very clean. Nice but if you are going to be there only to sleep.
- 3/5
The room was clean, comfy but it was very tight, no space for even opening the bag, no kettle in the room
- 1/5
Well when we arrived into the lobby it was so hot no AC not so friendly at all. The maid came in early while we’re still inside and started cleaning. Elevator was broke and only has two. Also the hotel itself had a Letter F if I had seen that before I check in I would have said no.
- 5/5
Good

Rooms are a good size compared to some other hotels. Walking out on to 28th street with all the flower shops nearby is lovely. Cafe Avignon next door is also very nice. Enjoyed our stay.
