Reviews
The hotel has a great location, with easy access to many attractions and restaurants. The staff are generally friendly and helpful, but there are some issues with the rooms and amenities. The elevators are slow and often crowded, and some guests have reported problems with the air conditioning, bed comfort, and cleanliness of the rooms.
- Great location
- Friendly and helpful staff
- Slow and crowded elevators
- Issues with room cleanliness and amenities
- 4/5
The room was nice, clean, and comfortable, and the terrace was a nice addition to allow outdoor space for sitting and lounging. My friends and I loved that we were within walking distance of Time Square and other places. The only issue we had was that the bathroom had a bad smell when we arrived, and the smell did not go away when cleaned.

Great place to stay for Times Square and Broadway.
- 5/5
Great time! Great location! Great staff!
- 2/5
The elevators were broken for a number of days, and we had to walk up 16 floors. The hall and room smelled musty, housekeeping skipped cleaning our room one day. The day they did clean, they failed to supply us with the adequate number of towels and did not replace drinking cups. They also missed a random shopping bag found under the bed.
- 3/5
Elevators can be a major issue - during our 3 night stay there were times no elevators were available, or just 1 or two. This created long lines in the lobby or issues arriving/leaving the room. Staff was as helpful as they could be when this happened - but it put a dampener on our stay. Great location and quiet!
- 1/5
Elevators inoperable during stay. Forced to climb stairs to room on 17th floor.
- 5/5
The location is central. Not far from the theaters. The staff was very accommodating!
- 3.5/5
Location Access to higher floor was difficult as the elevator takes forever

Location. Very friendly staff. Elevators were down for the 9 days we stayed. Only 1 of the 3 were working. Long waits. Sometimes a crowd would gather around the door instead of a single line to make it fair. At one point 3 women walked out of the restaurant next door, looked at the line and just put themselves to the side of the front. They squeezed in ahead of the rest that were waiting. It would be nice if they had someone overlooking the lines.
- 5/5
Liked the property. Needs more working elevators

Elevators are always breaking down
- 5/5
Location and service Elevators as always in busy hotels are congested.
- 0.5/5
nothing, except location expensive ($500/night), terribly noisy room (impossible to sleep without ear plugs), queuing HOURS (literally) to catch the small lift, as 2 out of 3 were out of order. Having to use stairs to the 29th floor most of the times, to avoid hours wait.
- 1.5/5
Not much The elevator situation is a disaster
- 1.5/5
Location Services are not satisfactory.
- 2/5
Clean room and refill body wash is needed. The shower door was not working properly. The elevator was not working most time. The ac system is poor.
- 3/5
Terribly slow elevators, at one point none of them worked. Waited 25 minutes for one
- 4/5
Good hotel in a central location. My only complaint is that there were only two working elevators for the duration of our stay which caused HUGE delays getting to/from our room. Really, a pain. There were lines just to get into the elevator and then once in the elevator, it stopped on nearly every floor on the way up (not to mention trying to take the elevator down)! We ended up taking the stairs up and down 15 floors regularly during our stay.
- 1/5
Only 1 out of 3 elevators worked out while stay other guests told us it had been like this since the previous week. Staff was rude and not helpful to any guests asking for help. Wait times for elevator were about 40 mins. Guests were offered the stairs and we saw multiple pick get sick and injured from trying to go up and down 30 flights of stairs. Would never come back and do not recommend
- 3/5
The staff, the room size, the cleanliness and the bar staff were all excellent. The location was perfect if you're interested in Central Park, Broadway and Times square. ELEVATORS!!!! I had read that the elevators were a problem. There were several times I walked either up or down 7 flights of stairs because the line waiting for the elevators was insane. I had family on the 32nd floor that did not have that option. On each day of our 4-day stay at lease one of three elevators were not in operation. Also, room staff would also use the same elevators, with vacuums and other cleaning materials alongside the guests. As good as everything else was concerning this hotel, I would NEVER book it again because of the elevators.
- 5/5
The location was perfect for all that we wanted to do. We were able to walk to a show one night and then up to the MET the next day. The front desk staff were exceptional and very friendly. Had to wait numerous times for the elevators.
- 4/5
I would not stay at this hotel in the future due to the elevator issues.

Good location Comfortable beds Housekeeping lady was lovely Lifts didn’t work sometimes and when they did you had to wait for a very long time up to 10mins on one occasion Shower lever was so tightly locked it was difficult to unlock. Breakfast was expensive for what you got it was a bit sparse.
- 4.5/5
Great location, nice staff. Very basic, but that's all you need.
- 4.5/5
It was great. I like it. I liked the food. It was Fresh and tasty
- 4/5
Elevators were slow.
- 5/5
Location is excellent, walking distance to many great restaurants and close to the metro. Biggest complaint is elevator situation. The property has 3 elevators, but 1 was not working during our stay. At any given time, there was a line in the lobby waiting for the elevator. We were in a 22nd floor, so luckily when the elevator got to us, we had space. That was not the situation for lower floors which would face a packed elevator very often. The size and number of elevator is not proportionate to the amount of floors. The room itself was kind of small - typical of NY hotels. The bathroom had not surface to put your toiletries either. Bed was comfy - no complaints there. Room has a small fridge and a microwave - which was convenient. But for the elevator situation, I would consider going back here - mainly due to the location.
- 3/5
Very convenient location Elevators were extremely slow during peak hours. Billing is very confusing. Almost three weeks after I checked out and settled my account balance, the security deposit on my credit card is still “pending”.
- 3.5/5

- 5/5
THIS. IS. THE. PERFECT. SPOT!! And for a really good price for what you get and where you’re at and a 5 star steakhouse right downstairs you can room service from. I decided to grab a drink at the bar , no wait , and ordered my food togo. Book it!
- 3.5/5
The location cannot be beat! We saw a show at studio 54 and it was steps away The elevators take FOREVER. At one point we waited over 30 minutes to get upstairs. You need to plan well ahead.
- 5/5
Great location
- 4/5
Room clean, staff very nice and helpful. Bed not very comfortable and pillows very uncomfortable. Room temp was good but had no airflow. Would stay again bc hotel location in city was perfect, but would bring own pillow and a fan.
- 2.5/5
This hotel is located few minutes walking distance from Times Square. Room was very small for 3 people and even the beds were single, not double or queen. Be careful on check out day and time: from 3 elevators one was not working that day! So there were only two elevators working and waiting time to get down was 45 minutes. We ended up using the stairs to be on time to the reception desk and do the check out!!! Glad we stayed on 8th floor :-). Stuff not very friendly.

Location. Room was large with microwave and refrigerator in good working order, iron and other amenities. Bathroom was large as well I’ve been charged $200 more than what was specifically communicated by Booking.com in my booking. Now I’m planning to go back to hotel to try and get this resolved. I should not have this issue
- 3/5
The room was clean. Elevators were abysmal. A 10 minute wait for an elevator which was often too full to board. Our shower temperature control did not work. Room was a little cramped.
- 4.5/5
Superb
- 3/5
Although initially the rooms would be a couple of floors apart after they failed to check us in for the second room on time and we had to wait and additional hour and a half for the second room they did accommodate to give us the room next to the first room that was given. Both rooms were small, but the beds were comfortable. Not many amenities in the room but they did have a fridge and small microwave. The location is good as it was midpoint between Times Square and Central Park and in the theater district. Check in for the second room took longer than expected. Elevators were always an issue, and it took time to go from the lobby to the rooms. While some staff was really nice other staff were just too matter of fact.
- 5/5
I would recommend staying on a low floor- the elevators are small and congested!

- 3/5
The room was spotless and comfy. Destiny at the front desk was amazing but I called four times before m my visit and spent two hours there one upon arrival and one the following morning trying to resolve a simple payment issue because I was paying for two rooms and my guest got there before me. Unacceptable. One of the elevators was out which created long lines and waits. The coffee situation was absurd for the cost of the hotel and disappointing for a Hilton. The location was very accessible for NYC.
- 2/5
Room just average. Bathroom was in bad shape and shower makes the whole bathroom wet and slippery and smelly. Occasionally makes metal banging noise from the bathroom pipes and workers can't help or fix it. Not recommend if you want a comfortable rest and sleep.
- 3/5
The elevators are way too slow for the number of guests
- 5/5
Very clean
- 5/5
Good location and helpful staff. Very clean and we were on the 34th floor and it was very quiet. Only slight negative was occasional wait for elevators - once almost 5 minutes, other times only a minute or two.

The location is amazing you are close the central park and the times square so if you are planning a touristy visit its great. the elevator wait time wasnt as bad as the other comments make it up to be. Its like 30+ floors of course there is wait time. it was old and a bit crusty. i couldnt order things to the hotel there was a 10$ fee for each box.

The AC didn’t work, they sold my room, the staff was rude, and housekeeping kept my Apple Watch.
- 3/5
Convenient location, but room is a little dated. I liked that it had a fridge and microwave and was fairly quiet. The elevators are small and slow.
- 4/5
Just elevators are slowly and smaller , you need wait for extra time for elevators
- 4/5
The hotel location is close to resturaunts, grocery stores, and some of the NY attractions such as the museum and Central Park. Our room on the 37th floor had a nice view. The king size bed mattress could have been firmer and the pillows were a little deflated which didn't provide much head support. I like the convenience of the microwave and the refrigerator in the room. We had a pleasant stay and I would choose this hotel again because it is in walking distance to my daughter's apartment.

- 4/5
Location and relative affordability are the benefits of this property. In theater district with shows within walking distance and close to Central Park. Hotel is older than it looks and had cramped small rooms. We reserved a king, but they put us in a double queen because they didn’t have any left. That’s disappointing but not a huge issue. Room was clean enough.
- 5/5
I loved how spacious the rooms are
- 5/5
Location is fantastic for theaters, restaurants, Times Square, Hell's Kitchen area! Hotel is clean and quiet. Rooms are updated and very spacious for NYC. Hotel staff was very helpful. We had a quick check-in and check-out, and a short wait to store and retrieve our bags. Self-park across the street was super easy. Rates were reasonable and you enter on ground level, so it was easy to exit the garage with our luggage and cross the street to hotel entrance. We had a drink at the bar in the hotel restaurant at the end of the evening. Drinks and service were excellent!

Great location with sports bar next door that had karaoke my daughter sang Sweeny Todd tunes. Across the street was a record store with private karaoke rooms. Perfect location between Central Park and shopping.
- 4/5
Property had a great location. Close to dining and classic tourist spots. Clean. The one thing I didn’t like was being approached in the lobby three times over as many days by someone trying to sell Hilton vacations.
- 1/5
The elevators were not operating and many folks including elderly were left standing for 20 minutes or more. Staff was not helpful and never opened front door for anyone and looked away when you approached them. Cleaning the room was a real challenge and had one cleaning even though requested many times. Good location and nice gym. Management was aware of our issues and sorry was all we got and then some defensiveness and blaming including on us. Correct our fault was booking the place.

Room was extremely small, we had to move the chair because it was blocking our passage. This was a Déjà vu of hotels in Europe, pretty small. AC was blasting when we arrived there. A bigger room, more comfortable bed. Elevators were not available all the time.
- 5/5
Amazing n clean Elevators are slow
- 5/5
The hotel was a short walk to Central Park! There was a Dunkin just around the corner! The place was so clean and it was quiet on my floor! It was the Best sleep I have had in weeks! Honestly I love this place! It has a great staff, it’s in a great location, and the rooms are great!
- 4/5
Very busy hotel with 3 slow
- 4/5
Good hotel overall. Small crowded lobby and the elevators are small and slow especially during checkout times. Good value but not fancy.
- 5/5
Front desk staff was very accommodating. Room was pleasant and clean.
- 5/5
We have booked this hotel a few times based on its proximity to Lincoln Center. The location is perfect! The hotel is clean and the staff is very friendly. It has been consistent each time we've stayed here. It has become our go-to hotel for trips to Lincoln Center!
- 5/5
Staff were helpful, but needed to acknowledge guests and provide correct info to what time to be able to check in
- 4/5
All staff was so kind and helpful
- 5/5
Extremely clean, friendly staff and an overall nice stay
- 1/5
Hmmm where do I start, filthy and unsanitary doesn’t do it justice!!! The pictures on Expedia are all false. There is no TV service, there is a TV in the room literally as decor and when we inquired as to why it didn’t work we were told “TV service is an amenity not included” not even basic local channels. The room was filthy, shower had mold on the tiles and roof of shower was falling. Only one elevator was working with buttons taped off and not working. Girl at front desk had a bad attitude as if you were bothering her, only one person at front desk no uniform at all. We literally checked on 4/22 and checked out within 30 minutes and had to book another hotel. STAY AWAY!!!!! EXPEDIA NEEDS TO REMIVE THIS HOTEL FROM THEIR PLATFORM. HORRENDOUS IS AN UNDERSTATEMENT.
- 5/5
The hotel was located near Time Square, Central Park and the Broadway District. Awesome staff. They were very friendly and helpful. Our room was lovely and very clean. Would stay again at this hotel again.
- 1/5
Housekeeping let my window open and it was scary for me to climb to close it. Shower water pressure not enough. And the black girl who was night time front desk agent did not know anything. Shouldn’t even work here!
- 4/5
Perfect location for Carnegie Hall and other Broadway shows in the area. Liked that it was renovated. Staff was helpful and friendly. Our only issue was the elevators; even though there are 3 sometimes it could be a slow process with hotel employees also using it. I would stay here again.
- 5/5
The staff at this property are amazing.
- 5/5
Very conveniently located. Walking distance to Central Park and Times Square. Multiple train stations nearby. Room was small but efficient for one person. Appreciated the fridge and microwave.
- 5/5
Excellent location, nice/clean room, very friendly staff. Felt safe and great things to see just a short walk away!
- 5/5
The hotel staff were pleasant and friendly. We arrived at the hotel before our check-in and were able to leave our luggage. The king room was clean and fairly spacious, with microwave and fridge. The hotel is conveniently located close to subway, Time Square and walking distance to main food and shopping areas. We enjoyed our stay there and would recommend.
- 3/5
The description used by Expedia is that "valet parking" is available. This isn't accurate. I parked in front of the hotel's unloading zone, went inside and a staff member told me that there was no valet option. We ended up parking at a garage over night for $57. The garage is only a half block away so it wasn't a huge deal. Just not what I was expecting when booking the hotel based on the description Expedia gave.
- 4/5
Great location, close to major attractions. Room was comfortable and clean and the staff was helpful. Waiting for the elevators is an issue and if you are on a higher floor you have no other options
- 5/5
Clean room, great staff. Slow elevator
- 4/5
Spacious room, great view, slow elevators and one didn’t work during peek times.
- 4/5
Elevators are a nightmare. Had to use the stairs.
- 5/5
Clean room and staff very pleasant
- 5/5
The hotel was clean, the staff was very friendly and the location was perfect! I would stay there again and again.
- 5/5
The staff was so lovely at every stage of the visit from holding bags before and after check in/check out, and ensuring we had transportation if needed. The room was nice and the property very clean. Location is great too!
- 4/5
Elevator time is kinda slow. During check in and check out times are the busiest. Plan wisely
- 5/5
The hotel was very clean. Great location.
- 3/5
The location of the hotel was perfect for our trip for walking to all the theaters (and time square) and central park. The elevators were an issue, it took awhile to get them and they don't fit many people so there were lines frequently. The lobby was frequently congested. The rooms are typical NYC - minimal space but we were just sleeping there so no bog deal. It was mostly clean, although the housekeeping carts crowded the tiny hallways.
- 3/5
They charge for water and the elevator took 20 minutes each time you went up to room or down to lobby. We lost at least 2 hours of our vacation waiting for the elevator over three days. Charging for water is a money grab. Do better.
- 5/5
The staff there did great work. They made our stay smooth and problem-free!
- 5/5
Maravilloso . Muy bueno todo 10
- 4/5
Clean room, nice and helpful staff. Large room. Convenient location. Slightly aging building.
- 4/5
Its an older building but is maintained well and is clean. Check in/out was simple.
- 5/5
Great location! Friendly staff!
- 1/5
bad service, slow elevators, overall pretty bad stay experience
- 3/5
Pros: Got to check in early which was great. Cons: a housekeeper literally walked into our room with a keycard 20 minutes after we checked in without knocking or anything, we were like omg what is happening. The room also smelled very damp, hoping we didn’t inhale mold all night.
- 2/5
Only 2 of 3 elevators were working. It took more than 15 mins each time I went upstairs or downstairs .
- 4/5
I had a beautiful time here with my family and would 100% stay again! Thank you to everyone who was friendly on the staff!
- 5/5
Clean room
- 2/5
The hotel needs maintenance work, from the elevators to the rooms (faucet is not secured, sink stopper is broken, shower valve doesn’t stay in turn position, etc.), and calls to the front desk were not answered.
- 3/5
The check-in staff is rude. They don't have enough elevators, and one of them is almost always out of order. It can be a long wait to get to one's room.
- 4/5
The bathroom had a weird smell like a funk smell
- 5/5
Only complaint was the pillows were flat and the AC never actually worked as it should.
- 5/5
Love that they could accomidate my family coming early, then checming into another room. And it was ready for us at 10am! They are amazing!
- 5/5
The front desk was exceptional. Parking is a little steep. But hotel itself is awesome!
- 3/5
There were a few frustrations during my stay. I was surprised to see bottled water in the room came with a charge, which felt a bit nickel-and-dime for a hotel at this level. Additionally, I was woken up early by housekeeping banging on the door around 7am, which wasn’t ideal. The elevator situation was also a challenge—it took so long that I eventually gave up and ended up walking down six flights of stairs with my luggage, which was far from convenient. All in all, it’s fine if you’re looking for something budget-friendly, but don’t expect much beyond the basics.
- 5/5
Thanks
- 5/5
The area around is safe & offers many restaurant choices.
- 5/5
The staff was amazing! We will returning in August and have already booked. This location was perfect and was in walking distance to so much.
- 5/5
Loved it
- 3/5
I stayed 2 nights. I got no housekeeping service all that time even though I took off the do not disturb sign when I was out. The second day I was gone most of the day until 10 pm but still no service. I didn’t call housekeeping that night because I was too tired and just went to sleep. I left the next morning.
- 4/5
Also, the room was clean, the bed was ok, reasonably comfortable, but, there is a lot of room for improvement. The sliding barn door for the bathroom offers little privacy in reality and it is extremely noisy. The shower took a full 10 or more minutes to warm enough to be bearable. My sister said the same for her room as well. The light was out on one bedside table, not a big deal, but none of the charger outlets on either side of the bed worked at all, nor did two charger outlets on the bureau. When you see that many outlets, you think it's great but in reality, only one worked at all. The canteen is right in the lobby and had plenty to choose from but the restaurant next door was astronomically priced - no thanks. There were other restaurants nearby, including quick fast food chains. The neighborhood was ok, not awful, but New York ish, meaning, it felt a bit dirty. We chose it for the price and the reliability of Hilton Garden Inns. I would stay there again but it wouldn't be my first choice. Just ok.
- 5/5
Everything was great , staff very helpful and walking distance to a lot of attractions!

- 5/5
An absolutely beautiful place. I will definitely be back!!
- 5/5
Great stay
- 5/5
The front desk individuals were pleasant and efficient. We just had slight difficulty collecting bags that that had been on hold for us after our check out.
- 4/5
Good hotel but not too friendly staff.
- 4/5
Clean room though little small
- 5/5
Very affordable, great location, so clean and nice! Staff is very friendly and accommodating. The only downside we experienced was our room not being ready right at 3pm due to larger parties ahead of us, but we enjoyed our wait in the lobby anyways.
- 5/5
Clena room, awesome staff, very friendly. Would stay again.
- 5/5
The water in the shower never got hot.
- 5/5
Clean room, clean bathroom, quiet hallway. Staff are profetional.
- 5/5
CLean Great staff
- 4/5
It's a solid hotel. My room was clean, the staff was friendly, and the location was perfect for my trip. If you need a place to stay while catching a Broadway show, this is a good choice.
- 5/5
Quiet, clean, good location
- 5/5
Staff was friendly. Hotel and room clean. Room was spacious for New York and had queen beds which is a plus. Would stay again
- 5/5
The hotel should invest in quality pillows.
- 4/5
We really enjoyed our stay. The location was perfect. The rooms were clean and comfortable. Staff went above and beyond to help us when we arrived. The only reason they don’t get 5 stars is the elevators. You have to wait a crazy long time for them. When we were there only two of the three were functioning which made it worse. So we ended up going up to then eventually come down to the lobby. Seemed like the only way to get on an elevator. Otherwise we would likely stay again. Staff were friendly.
- 5/5
Great hotel in a fantastic location. Friendly staff, comfortable, big beds, and great rooms!
- 4/5
The hotel is in a good location no doubt. The rooms are small. We barely had room to walk with 2 queen beds. Now I know 200sq ft. is small. The hotel is decent and the staff is friendly. Will book again due mostly to location.
- 5/5
Extremely friendly staff, fast and efficient service.
- 1/5
Stayed for one night for a quick layover and had the worst night ever. The walls were paper thin and loud disco music played outside all night long. The beats were so loud and so strong that it was impossible to sleep. I thought there is a bar next door or across the street. Turns out it is the Hilton's own doing - the hotel blasts club music at its front door 24x7. It makes no sense whatsoever - does management not realize this is a hotel where people sleep and not a night club?!
- 5/5
Would recommend
- 3/5
Parking is tough. No breakfast served. Elevators slow. Staff are great. Bathroom door is too small so it doesnt close all the way, big gap., no privacy.
- 5/5
The staff was very friendly and warm/helpful.

The staff were very accommodating!

Lovely hotel and staff was really helpful
- 5/5
They only charge a $100 per day refundable deposit to your credit card, which you get back after checking out. They were sweet enough to decorate our room so beautifully, and on top of that, they gave us the nicest view they had available due to the special occasion. We also had to extend our stay last minute due to the blizzard since our flight kept getting canceled, and they were incredibly accommodating. I cannot recommend this hotel enough. The staff was amazing — I wish I had gotten their names because they were all so sweet. Room service was great as well; the ladies were super nice and respectful.
- 5/5
Staff were kind and incredibly helpful. Rooms were clean and neat
- 4/5
Clean room, attentive front desk personnel, good experience over all.
- 5/5
Clean, and very nice staff
- 4/5
It loses a star because: - The wait time for an elevator is RIDICULOUS. During peak hours, it can take 5 - 7 minutes. - The room has a lot of lights that blink or remain illuminated at night, such as the thermostat and the smoke alarm. It can be very hard to shut out the light pollution. Pro tip: Try the sushi restaurant next to the hotel. It’s excellent!
- 3/5
I felt sorry for the staff as every time I was in the lobby, someone was complaining about the elevators. I default to stay at the Hilton brand but unfortunately I would not be staying at this location again.
- 5/5
Everything was great, expect long waits for the elevators. Something longer than 10 mins
- 5/5
Everything was amazing, no complaints at all!
- 5/5
My 2nd stay and was very satisfied!
- 5/5
Over all experience was amazing! From how polite and helpful the staff, to how clean the rooms were! They only issue was the elevator, would stand there waiting for couple of minutes.
- 5/5
Outstanding customers service from all the staff!
- 1/5
Elevator don’t work properly check in 4
- 5/5
Service was great, checkin was fast and simple. Will definitely stay there afain
- 4/5
Room was spotless, staff was nice only thing bad was the elevators were slow.
- 5/5
Clean room with a nice view and very friendly staff!
- 5/5
We enjoy the stayed, the personal was very nice and we get a beautiful view
- 4/5
Rooms were small. Elevators took forever but staff was great. Very friendly and helpful.
- 3/5
Elevator service
- 3/5
Great location, close to everything. The rooms are very clean but small. The one thing that would keep me from staying there again is the elevator situation. On average you will be waiting 15-30 minutes for an elevator. There are a total of 3 elevators but only 2 work. Had to go down the stairs a few times because the wait is so long.
- 4/5
Room was clean and seemed updated.
- 4/5
Clean helpful very kind staff
- 2/5
Both mornings between 6am-7am there was also a very loud jack hammering that woke us up. It was very frustrating.
- 3/5
Room and staff were great. It is the elevators that need help! It would take upto 10-20 minutes to get the elevator! Also the lobby is so hot since the heat was way too high!
- 3/5
Front desk personnel were not helpful and had attitudes. Only had two elevators working. room was not ready at 3 PM for check-in. barn door on the bathroom was hard to open and close. No extra rolls of toilet paper in the bathroom. The Bellman at checkout, however, was very very helpful in getting a cab for us and Christian, who handled our baggage was very polite and helpful and gave us complementary water.
- 4/5
The room and staff were great.
- 5/5
Love it
- 5/5
everything was incredible

- 2/5
Awful experience.
- 5/5
Very nicr
- 4/5
The only challenge is that the elevators are incredibly slow and need to all be in working order.
- 4/5
A good stay in a convenient location. The hotel was clean and the staff were pleasant. I would stay again.
- 3/5
Bed was uncomfortable room was too warm
- 3/5
My booked room was unavailable. I had to change rooms after the first night.
- 4/5
Comfy beds, big room, great heating, clean, good location, excellent service
- 4/5
Room. Location
- 3/5
We barely had hot water for the shower throughout our entire stay. I brought it up to the front desk and they sent someone to look at it, but there was no improvement. Also, they were doing some construction which led to sometimes 10-15 minute waits for the elevators.
- 4/5
The room was very clean and the housekeeper cleaned our room everyday!
- 4/5
Good service , good price
- 5/5
Clean room and friendly staff.
- 5/5
Spotless great staff
- 3/5
Cons: it was incredibly cold in NYC but the heat in our room didn't work at all. We had to sleep in our winter coats. They came in the first night to try snd fix but it didn't work. Made for a really uncomfortable 3 nights
- 5/5
Everything was perfect
- 3/5
I expected that rooms are inspected by staff to ensure they are in good order.
- 5/5
What stood out at Hilton Garden Inn, New York/Central Park South – Midtown West was the quiet room, accommodating staff, distance from amenities, or pet friendly. Recommend for a calm and touch-less stay.
- 3/5
Elevator wait times were longer than an expected wait time. Had an issue with the shower water getting warm in the morning. Concourse level smelled like sewer gas. Overall stay was ok. Staff brought extra pillows and Kleenex when asked. Would not stay there again
- 3/5
This hotel was in a good location. The room was on the smaller side, but was clean. There are really no amenities in the hotel as far as food is concerned, so you have to go out if you want coffee or snacks. The lobby is quite small and when we were there a large busload of people was trying to check in which made it very chaotic. The elevators are also very slow. We had to wait 5-10 minutes regularly for the elevator. Probably would not seek out this hotel specifically for another trip to NYC.
- 4/5
Staff very nice
- 5/5
Staff - Monica was attentive to my need to have room cleaned.
- 5/5
A+ service with clean rooms.
- 3/5
The elevators
- 3/5
Room ok but bedlinen synthetic and quilt very thin
- 4/5
Room was clean, good value for price. Handy location in Manhattan. Friendly staff
- 5/5
Great location. Room was quite small, but then again it's NYC. I liked how I could walk everywhere. Perfect base to explore the city.
- 4/5
Overall it was a nice stay, the staff was super nice although the elevators were really slow and not all of them were working for 2 days
- 5/5
Staff was pleasant. One elevator was down for most of our stay.
- 5/5
everything was just perfect. hotel close to everything as well
- 4/5
The room was comfortable, not noisy at all, great black out, clean.
- 4/5
Clean, good location.
- 4/5
Staff was welcoming and courteous. Lobby can’t hold the number of guests who need a place to socialize. There is a steakhouse next door. Location great, off broadway. Take the 1train from Penn station walk four blocks north. I would stay here again, but that depends on the price.
- 5/5
Location, nice staff
- 5/5
Helpful staff
- 4/5
Terrible elevator but it’s not their fault
- 4/5
Just elevators were super sl
- 5/5
Price, quality and convenience of proximity to hospital.
- 2/5
We did not have good luck. Room was insanlysmall but i guess thats a nyc thing. The carpet was all ripped up in patches
- 4/5
Rooms & lobby were clean, staff was friendly, great location for many restaurant options, clubs, & Broadway shows.
- 2/5
The elevators didn’t work and no one came to fix within the 24 hours of my stay. I had to carry our luggage up and down the stairs.
- 5/5
Awesome!!
- 2/5
There was no breakfast, why was I asked? The hotel was not real clean in the rooms or common spaces. We asked for towels and a blanket 4 x before receiving them. And all of the elevators were having issues the whole stay. Staff was not super friendly either.
- 5/5
Staff was amazing and the location was perfect!
- 4/5
Good stay but the elevator situation was a bit annoying. Very busy waiting many minutes at times.
- 5/5
Great location and friendly staff
- 4/5
Very friendly staff, clean room, love that there was a microwave and fridge in the room. Slow elevators, wish there were fans in the bathroom, wish there was actual room service to order and not just the restaurant.
- 4/5
Room was clean with ample towels.
- 5/5
Milena una empleada de excelencia, amable, cortes y dinámica. La habitación y el servicio fueron de excelencia.
- 5/5
Great location
- 1/5
We booked this hotel because it was supposed to have fridge and microwave in the room, but they were not. We called the front desk, they said it's because we were on the remodeled floor and they didn't put it back yet, promised to bring it. My reaction was "And put it where?! Am I supposed to share my bed with it?" When they brought those, they were all scratched and dirty. Faucet in the bathroom was not attached to the sink, so had to use both hands to open the water - one to keep the faucet in place and the other to turn the handle. And water ran through the whole in the sink down to the cabinet and from there to the floor. Bed sheets had stains and holes in them. Where they placed a kettle and "snacks," there was no place to plug it in. So had to relocate it to the only tiny table-like surface there was in the room. Table lamp shades were all transparent, so basically there were exposed light bulbs blinding you all the time. Thermostat was all nice and new, but all the "under the hood" hardware was behind a flimsy board on the wall that our 2yo toddler opened with ease and almost touched the wires. Finally, fire detector - it was on the wall right above the bed, and it was flashing bright white light I could see even with my eyes closed.
- 2/5
Our bathroom door was issue #2. Because of the narrow room, the loo had a sliding door, not a hinged one. Ours was installed so poorly that a two-inch space assured that the door was never fully closed. These things in themselves would have been OK - we've all stayed in second rate hotels in large cities. Leaving at the end of our stay, however, was more challenging. The SINGLE elevator for this 34-floor hotel passed our floor several times during the 35 minutes we waited. We finally carried our bags down to the lobby, where we were offered a Dunkin' Donuts gift card for a cup of coffee to compensate us for our inconvenience. We passed! A hotel to avoid at any price.
- 5/5
The bed was not very comfortable. But the staff were friendly and helpful.
- 4/5
Good hotel
- 3/5
The room was nice, the bathroom was great. Unfortunately, the building needs more elevators. There was a sign at the elevator lobbies urging guests to allow extra time at peak travel times. When one elevator went out of service, we had trouble getting into the lobby because it was packed with people waiting for an elevator. We used the stairs to get up to our room...in a high-rise building!
- 3/5
The room was good, and the staff was friendly, the major issue was the elevators. They had 3, the first two days two of them worked, you had to wait anywhere from 5-30 minutes to get on. Then the third day they were down to one working elevator, after waiting 30 minutes I ended up taking the 33 flights of stairs had to do that 3 times that day once with carrying 2 suit cases.
- 5/5
The staff was attentive and go out of there way to make your stay as pleasurable as humanly possible. I WILL stay at this locations anytime in New York. The staff is to be commended.
- 5/5
Staff was great, elevators would be a bit of a wait sometimes. Other than that everything was good
- 5/5
Spacious room attentive staff
- 2/5
Elevator is poorly slow, staff were unkind, especially front desk
- 4/5
Very nice hotel n close to everything
- 5/5
Yes on both accounts. Best shower ive had in 40 years of traveling. Brian and the day man were incredibly helpful
- 3/5
Great hotel and room and location!! The ELEVATOR NOT FUNCTIONING CAUSED A PAIN IN THE ASS!! Taking the stairs multiple times !!
- 2/5
the elevators
- 2/5
Hotel next door (Marriott Residence Inn) has eight elevators. Guess where I’m staying next time.
- 5/5
Only negative was at times only one of the three elevators in the building were working
- 1/5
However, when we returned later, our bags were left unattended on a cart in the middle of the lobby. They were not secured or monitored, and no one checked a luggage tag or asked for identification when we retrieved them. Our belongings could have been taken by anyone at any time, which was very concerning. In addition, the elevators were frequently out of service, resulting in long wait times. The walls were extremely thin, making it easy to hear noise from neighboring rooms. The hot water did not work, a lamp in our room was broken, and interactions with the front desk staff were consistently unprofessional and unwelcoming. Overall, this was a disappointing experience, and we would not recommend this hotel or stay here again.
- 4/5
Was good
- 3/5
2 out of three elevators were out of service, I had to use the stairs several times, I am lucky I was only on the 5th floor! Imagine been on the 20th floor... $35 for a breakfast is not reasonable for a three star hotel... $500 for the use of the "business Center", it is crazy!
- 4/5
The hotel did the trick but I would not stay here again. The staff were lovely but compared to other similar priced hotels in the area, I felt a lack of amenities, the elevators are unfortunately very slow and small, at times I waited almost 10 minutes for an elevator despite it being “off peak” time.
- 4/5
Staff was great and very clean rooms.
- 4/5
The location was amazing & convenient. Our room was clean and spacious. The only thing we were not happy about was the size of the closet space and the elevator that took forever to come.
- 2/5
Security was NO help!
- 2/5
Reserved a room through Expedia for “City View”. Upon arrival a room with a view was unavailable. The refrigerator compressor was out and wouldn’t work. Half of the time, the 11th floor elevator buttons wouldn’t work at all, forcing us to take the stairs. The other half of the time the buttons would work but the elevator would skip us on the 11th floor. Not worth the money spent and will never stay again.
- 4/5
Great area to be on
- 5/5
Staff
- 4/5
Great location. Clean rooms.
- 5/5
Great experience!
- 5/5
Great staff, clean room, and I enjoyed my stay! Definitely, would book again!
- 3/5
Small room, very dark, elevators are very limited. Location is great, bed was good, bathroom could have been cleaner as well as carpets.
- 4/5
Great location
- 5/5
It was a nice experience.
- 4/5
The room was clean and accommodated our family well. There was a long wait for the elevator especially if you are on floors that are in the middle of the building.
- 5/5
It was good at New Year time they were very busy but all over it was great especially the restaurant inside of Hilton garden Inn.
- 4/5
Clean and great view!
- 4/5
Very clean, just very slow elevators and also no parking which made my stay super extra expensive.
- 5/5
clean
- 3/5
the main problem was the ac/heat did not work in the room. They provided space heater but the room was not comfortable at all max it was either to hot or to cold all the time
- 3/5
Overall the stay was okay. Elevators were hectic in peak times so be aware. Would I stay again? Maybe if they fixed the elevators issue I had to walk up 24 floors once. But Nice area and very walkable. Times square is just a 10 min walk.
- 4/5
Staff was helpful at the front desk
- 5/5
Staff nice and responsive.
- 5/5
It was clean, rooms were spacious, the staff was great, location amazing!
- 1/5
My stay was extremely disappointing
- 4/5
The staff was quite nice and the room size was good for NYC. The bed is old, and creaked loudly every time we moved. They do not have a business center as advertised but the gym is alright. The most frustrating thing was this; I thought I was getting a deal using hotels dot com but I would have saved over $80 if I just booked the room straight through hilton dot com 2 or 3 days before going to New York. So that's my suggestion to other people; with travel to the USA down so much, you'll have your pick of hotels at a better rate if you wait to book just before your trip.
- 4/5
Elevators are kind of small. It’s an old hotel. It is what it is. You might find yourself waiting 30 minutes plus to get to your room sometimes during heavy traffic. Other than that affordable places to eat are right around the corner, great location!
- 4/5
Staff and location were great! Elevators are frustrating so give yourself extra time coming and going!
- 1/5
And I never had breakfast so why are you asking me about it? The stay went from bad to worse Sad I spent a ton of money - such a waste!
- 5/5
Amazing service 👌

This would have been excellent, but one of the elevators was not working and the other two were small. Extensive delays in getting to and from rooms. Ended up taking stairs to get to lobby.

clean room and friendly staff
- 4/5
Just took long time to take the elevators and one was out of service.
- 3/5
Poor elevators which took 30 minutes to get from the top to bottom floor. Not the most cleanly. But relatively helpful staff.
- 5/5
Didn't eat breakfast here
- 3/5
Hotel lobby was small and needed updating. Elevators were very slow at all times a day! Room was very clean.
- 4/5
The elevator delays is no joke. There’s only 3 elevators to service way too many guests. Exoect to wait 10-15mins just to get downstairs or to go to your room during peak hours of check in and check out. The room wasn’t very well lit as well. Needs more lights to brighten up the space. Other than that, perfect location and close proximity to many NYC attractions with very clean rooms and friendly staff.
- 4/5
The room was spotless and the staff very courteous.

Great customer service and wonderful location!
- 4/5
Wonderful staff and a clean room. Great access to everything we wanted to do during our stay. I was disappointed there wasn’t valet parking as advertised on Expedia but there was easily accessible and affordable parking across the street.
- 5/5
Great hotel. Clean and staff so friendly
- 3/5
Hot was fine but the elevators were a problem. Too many people and not enough elevators to use. 30 min waiting for an elevator is not right.
- 4/5
Room was lovely.
- 5/5
Great Location, great staff. The only thing to be aware of is the elevators. There are only 3, and during the busy time, it takes a long time to get on one; otherwise, it's a terrific spot to stay.
- 4/5
Very comfortable stay, rooms were clean and the staff pleasant. I would stay here again if I ever come back to NYC. An excellent location

The check-in was a bit upset, everything else was great though.

Close to where we were going.

I loved the location and the price!

Honestly this hotel had the WORST pillows and mattress I’ve ever slept on in my life. Omg from all the walking you will do in NYC do not expect to find comfort when you lay down for the night. Outside of this, however, their customer service at the front desk is amazing but the guys at the door not so much. I had a baby with me and in the morning my driver was trying to help get my bags and the guy at the door just stared at us didn’t open the door to help. The location of the hotel is excellent and their housekeeping is also stellar. I loved that the hotel had overnight laundry service as my child had a blow out and they got her things cleaned quickly. I would have stayed here again if the bed and the pillows were better and their handicap front doors actually worked without someone needing to buzz you in. Because of these things, I will not stay there again.
- 4/5
The room was clean and the staff was helpful. The prices were a bit high.
- 3/5
Booked room on Expedia. Was supposed to be 2 queen beds and we get there and they changed us to a room with 2 double beds for 4 people!! When I asked they said they had to change our room??? For the inconvenience we were given free breakfast coupons. That was nice but the room was soooooo small we could hardly move with 4 people in it for the price we paid. Disappointed.
- 3/5
Good location and decent size room for Manhattan. The elevators are awful and slow, one always seems out of order. Also we could not get heat to work in our room and never got anyone to look at it. Doubt we would stay there again.
- 5/5
The staff was incredible. They were knowledgeable with any questions that we asked. The attached restaurant (steak house ) was beautiful. We did not dine there , but had drinks at the bar and it was a wonderful atmosphere. The rooms are small but that is New York! Location was convenient and within walking distance to so many things. Great experience with our short visit.

Terrible service from staff. While the manager was accommodating, the front desk rep was rude and least helpful when I requested a crib (which was confirmed before check in via phone call too). The check in process was horrible itself, and our room wasn’t ready until 3 hours after check in time. Upon check out, the staff didn’t even offer to help me load the luggage in my car. They offered others so I’m not sure why they just ignored me. Suuuuch bad customer service.

Staff were super nice and helpful!
- 5/5
The staff at the front desk are simply amazing
- 5/5
Staff was wonderful, as well as the room.Grateful for my stay, especially as I usually stay at only Marriott hotels. The Hilton property was great!
- 3/5
I did not eat at the hotel restaurant.
- 3/5
Front desk staff were excellent. First night heat did not work and we got another room. That toilet was running constantly but was able to get repaired the next day. Mold on bathroom walls near ceiling - no exhaust fan. Elevators made some scary noises - long waits to use elevator.
- 5/5
The staff were friendly and helpful
- 1/5
They didn’t check in on time. We waited until 4pm
- 3/5
Hotel was not in the best condition. We both hit our legs on the bedframe which is dangerous. The thermostat did not work very well. The staff overrode the elevators when guests were in them. It took forever to get hot water in the shower. The shower leaked onto the bathroom floor. There was a linen cart parked in the hall just outside our room the entire time we were there.

Friendly and helpful staff. Room was clean. Ama
- 4/5
The staff were all incredibly friendly and helpful. My only complaint was the room was too small for two people. Still, a very positive experience.
- 5/5
The hotel was in good shape, the staff were all friendly and attentive. The room itself was a little rough around the edges, but nice. The bed was comfortable. We didn't have a fridge in the room and we brought leftovers back from the boathouse on Thanksgiving. Staff quickly remedied that situation-about 25 minutes a fridge appeared. We would definitely recommend the Hilton to anyone looking to stay in the Central Park area

We had a great stay! Room was spacious (by midtown standards) and well furnished. Big bathroom with lots of counter space. Closet though was tiny but fine for a few nights stay. Very friendly, helpful staff and a fantastic location. We will definitely be back!

The front desk staff was so nice !!!
- 5/5
Elevator service seems to be an issue anywhere in Manhatten, so the (minor) delays I experienced were just part of being in the city.
- 5/5
Front desk staff were amazing, room was clean and location was everything!
- 5/5
Excellent! Great location, walking distance from Time Square. Also, public transportation near by.

Location
- 5/5
Staff was very kind and attentive.
- 3/5
Room was good, smaller than most hotels but had everything you needed. The location was amazing, walking distance to a lot of attractions. The front desk staff could be more welcoming and friendly. The worst part about this hotel is the elevator situation, theres only 3 for a 31 floor hotel, where sometimes 1 elevator wasn't working and you were almost always waiting 5-10 minutes just to use them, if not longer. If you're not looking to spend much time at the hotel, its great, but if you'll be taking the elevator and spending lots of time in the room, I wouldn't recommend.
- 1/5
the front desk staff,a blace grill wad really angry with me and unhappy to answer questions.
- 4/5
Elevators are very slow, but everything else great

good

The room was clean. Staffing was very helpful. Our room was cleaned daily. Dining and shopping was a walking distance which was very nice. The only issue were the elevator’s. Besides that I would recommend to book your next trip at the hotel.

perfect location for Broadway access, fair price, clean - new room, very nice staff. will stay there every time we go to Broadway.
- 4/5
Clean room, cleaning staff friendly and polite on elevator rides🙂, front desk female was super nice and efficient. Gentleman was rude. When I inquired about the amount I was being billed, his response was “ if I was trying to take your money, I would have charged more!” I was not told about the $50 in tax and $100 refundable deposit so a $311 charge was $460. Bathroom door needed to have the barn-door stop moved an inch so it would close.

Staff was great - friendly & professional. The room was reasonably clean but the Keurig coffee machine was broken, the towels were really tiny & rough as sandpaper & the mattress was uncomfortable. Plus at check-in they said my reservation for a room with a king size bed was not available & I was downgraded to a double queen. At checkout, I discovered I was charged for the higher price king, had to ask for an adjustment which gentleman at desk gave me no problem. You have great staff.but clearly management is ignoring, or doesn't care about, guest comfort & guest experience - make sure coffee machines work & buy decent towels & mattresses for god's sake.. Didn't expect much to begin with & Garden managed to underperform any minimum expectations. Overall, crappy experience & waste of money.
