Amazing customer service. I was able to check in early and the hotel room was very nice for the price. I would definitely recommend. Also a 2 minute walk from Madison square garden.

For the last eleven years I have been obsessed with New York City. I try to get there as often as I can to revel in the incredible energy that seems to be a part of everything the city has to offer. In 2022 I was able to bring a friend with me to help work on a photography project. While doing so I have been fortunate enough to stay at the Henn na Hotel several times over the last few years. In many ways West 35th Street is in the absolute heart of midtown. The hotel is perfectly situated to act as a base camp while accessing every part of the city. It has a wonderful Japanese minimalist feel to the rooms which is perfect for relaxing after spending hours walking the streets in pursuit of the perfect images. The hotel is wonderfully clean, and user friendly. I cannot recommend the Henn na enough. All things considered, it is the only hotel that I would want to stay at. Thank you!

There are not allot of amenities here, there is no real lobby to hang out in , just a dinosaur, front desk and elevator . But I didn’t miss anything . The room though is great, amazing bed, pillows and amenities. You get a mini fridge , desk, and a Japanese wash-let. Also an amazing surprise was a LG clothes valet. Where you can hang a shirt and it will be sanitized and steamed . A real welcome addition if you’re in town for meetings . Housekeeping was always great. The restaurant has some great Japanese food within some good daily specials . Overall I would be back , for the rate it’s a great value if you need a good clean room, with a great bed in midtown you simple can’t get better .

A special treat was finding out we each got a voucher for a free meal next door at the best bagel place. The sandwiches and and tea we got there was incredible, heard a cheap Continental breakfast any day

Great choice for our family's 3 night stay. We are former New Yorkers, sort of local, and just wanted a place to sleep after we did things we wanted to do in the city instead of commuting back to NJ. Quick, easy check-in and check-out. We didn't need much in the way of service or information, so I can't comment on that. The room was very clean. Not huge but plenty of space for family of 4. Great location with close access to several trains. Also a short enough walk to Hell's Kitchen where we found someplace good to eat all 3 nights. I would stay here again.

Less than 10 minute walk from Penn Station. Welcoming staff. A few bagel shops nearby for breakfast and lunch. Japanese restaurant at base of hotel was very good. Room was very clean. There are no views from the windows, but we walked the city. I would’ve liked an individual reading light. My son was able to store his luggage at the hotel while he waited to sign into his Airbnb with his college class.

This is a small hotel in a great spot close enough to MSG and some train stations. There are great bagel and coffee spots across the street. Love the space in the room, love the actual bidet in the bathroom, and the overall hotel is great. However their staff is the most unfriendly hotel workers I have encountered. We pulled up to the hotel and three men were outside the lobby. They looked like they could be door men or maybe part of the front desk staff. They saw us pulling our bags out of the car and went inside. No one offered to help us at all which was fine, but still noticeable. The front desk person barely spoke, took my card, gave us our keys, and the only other thing mentioned was the wifi info. No talk about the room, the hotel, or anything that might be helpful to know about the area. Each morning and evening, as we walked past the front desk, the person or people sitting there barely looked up. I think in our 3 days there we managed one smile from the front desk. The unfriendly staff is not a deal breaker as the hotel was great for the location and amenities, but still it would have been nice to be acknowledged at least.

My son and I had an enjoyable stay at Henn Na NYC. The hotel itself was clean and modern and we had a good dinner at the Japanese restaurant. The location is the real star, just a couple blocks away from Penn Station and Madison Square Garden, across the street from a funky espresso cafe, and easy walking distance to a Popup Bagel place. We would happily stay here again.

Room is very clean and spacious. The location is very convenient to go anywhere within Manhattan. LG Styler works the best for my suit as I was on business trip. A couple of downsides are: 1) The area can be quite loud at night, as there are bars near the hotel, 2) One day they did not make up the room, and when I complained it to the staff, the staff did not even apologize and simply asked if I needed any extra towel. I would definitely book it again when I go to NYC again and recommend to everyone for the quality of room, but if you care about staff quality, then please do not expect it here.

Entire staff was polite, respectful and accommodating. The area is very convenient close to shopping centers and fine dining.

We really loved the hotel: the room and all common areas were spotless, clean, and well organized. The sushi restaurant was very good and convenient. The location was perfect for us, especially being close to Madison Square Garden to attend an NBA game. The staff, including the maintenance team, were always attentive, friendly, and respectful. Overall, a great place to stay in New York City.

Everything was clean, staff was great and the highlights were that their tv's can actually chromecast from your phone! Also they have bidets installed on their toilets so that is something uncommon. I would stay here again.

We had a great stay. The hotel is clean and the rooms are minimalist but we had everything we needed. The beds were very comfortable. The location is great for tourist, very walkable. We would absolutely stay again.

As per photos on website. Very close to Times Square but not in the hustle and bustle; a quiet escape in the middle of the city. 5min walk from Penn Station. Secure lock up for luggage. Does not do breakfast but that is not a problem as there is an amazing bagel place next door. Could not have been happier with choice of hotel. Thank you.

When i checked out, i found the actual paid fee overcharged, different from the fee when i booked via Expedia. I was sure i didn't use any extra service. So I asked for hotel's staff's help to clarify the bill and emailed me why $40.19 more and refund. No hotel's reply until now, even though i tried to leave the message both on Expedia and Henn na hotel's own website. NO ONE ANSWERS ME WHY THE FEE OVERCHARGED. So sad, there is no hotel's staff wants to solve the issue. JUST ignore me. And Expedia staff told me they have no authority to refund, nothing they could do, because i chose to pay at property, not via Expedia system. In this case, Expedia still couldn’t explain why Henn na overcharged me $40.19. I felt disappointed about it as well. Expedia should guarantee the price while members book, if Expedia can’t, why should members book via Expedia? I want an explanation, just “Oh, sorry, we tried. But nothing could do”

The hotel has many faults. No room service, no luggage support and their elevator malfunctions often and gets stuck and then starts shaking. Some of their front desk staff are also very unprofessional, one doesn't even touch your luggage when she puts it in storage & wants the client to do everything, another one discloses what the client asks over the phone in front of others and interogates & objects on it. The management can be very accusative of the guest and threatening as well when you complain.

This hotel was definitely no frills. Mr room smelled had a terrible smell of smoke. I asked to switch rooms and was told there was no other room available. Even my clothes smelled like smoke when I left in the morning. Would not go back.

In an emergency while traveling to DC, my cousin and I stayed here for a night while we waited for her brother to fly in from Montreal later that night. (Backstory: his flight was delayed because of the airplane incident at Toronto Int'l; his connection to JFK) We were heading to DC the next morning.The hotel staff knew our situation and was very accommodating. The sushi restaurant was excellent and after a day in the city, I slept like a baby. This place is a unique and awesome hidden gem. I will be staying here again.

I had a wonderful stay and no complaints about the room. Everything was so clean, comfortable, and offered everything I could’ve needed and more. It was my first time in New York and I felt very safe in the location, it had an amazing restaurant housed within the hotel, and the staff were very kind and accommodating. I would recommend this place a hundred times over, truly!

This was a quick trip and I needed a place to crash that was convenient to the station. The room was clean, bed was comfortable. It is a bit stark in appearance-very utilitarian, but I knew this when I selected it. Staff was excellent when I checked in and the T-Rex was impressive. I will definitely keep this hotel on my list.

Stayed for a week here, have only good things to say about the hotel. So there is no bar or gym etc but, if you’re looking for a large room in a great location with a very competitive price, Henn Na is a great option.

Room was spacious for NYC hotel. Location was on point. Loved the slippers and storage for wet coats. The high tech toilet seat was a nice touch…especially loved that it was heated. We’d stay here again.

The hotel is in a good location, close to shops, restaurants, etc. It was extremely clean & the rooms were a good size, the hallways were very dark. However, it is very basic, there are no draws/furniture to put your clothes in, just hanging space in the closet. The counter space is large, goes across the entire room, so we put our stuff on top of there. There is no coffee maker in the room, nor a microwave, just this weird kettle, warm up water for what. It is good for a few nights stay but we were there for 9 nights for a medical procedure & we could not even heat up food which was annoying. We also asked if they could move this chair from the 2nd floor lounge that no one even knows is there, just this weird space on the 2nd fl, to our room since our family member needed to sit after the medical procedure in a large comfortable chair & the room had only desk chairs. Apparently, there is no one in charge there, like a manager & they kept saying they could not do it.

My stay was cut short due to my daughter giving birth to a premature baby and I needed to get home urgently. Stephanie on reception was incredibly helpful getting me through to the airline as I was very upset and she even managed to secure a refund for half of my stay which I did not even ask her to do. Her kindness was very much appreciated at a very difficult time for me. My grandson was born as I arrived at the airport. Thank you Stephanie I am very grateful to you for your help.

the only issue is your phone won't work in this hotel. It's a blessing and curse. Just can't call loved ones from the room. You literally have to go outside to make calls.

I chose this hotel because of great reviews and it did not disappoint. Rooms are big even for non New York standard. Comfortable bed. Clean bathroom. You get a good night sleep and yet in the middle of Midtown Manhattan. Great price-to-quality ratio. And: Amazing bagels next door!

The rooms were lovely, spacious with great beds. It would have been nice to have not just one luggage rack but two since we had two suitcases and one had to sit on the floor. Plus there was no dresser or anywhere to put our things, which was too bad since we were at the hotel for 8 nights. Would have been nice to have a common area with a desk for working. Overall we liked the hotel (and paid for a total of 18 nights between three hotel rooms for family) but it was very pricey considering that there weren't many amenities. Also, sorry to be picky but the front desk staff was fairly unkind when we had to ask multiple times to get our room keys reset - they stopped working 4 times during the 8 night stay. The man at the front desk implied multiple times to me that it was my fault and that I shouldn't have put the key near my phone. That's not how the keys work, they're not magnetized. And both of our keys stopped working on the same days. Just FYI.

No facilities (working area, common area to sit etc.) in the hotel but it's an okay stay.

The room was immaculate and comfortable, as was the bathroom. The staff was friendly also. The location is amazing, everything we wanted to do was within walking distance. My only recommendation would be Hot tea or coffee be available in the mornings. The rooms would be even better with a microwave also.

The hotel has good ratings because it is clean and comfortable. If you’re looking for character, the room was all gray and drab with no designs or paintings. The hotel will validate your parking so you get the rate of $40 a day, it’s a 4-5 min walk. There was no cell service, the WiFi worked though. The restaurant was small and simple, but once again clean and very kind workers. It’s not a bad hotel by any means, just simple.

The staff was friendly and welcoming. The room was clean and the beds and linens were cozy. You can't beat the location if you are headed to MSG.

Great hidden Gem, big rooms, very modern and clean.

Very clean, friendly helpful staff. Comfortable beds, spacious room and bathroom. We stay in NYC a lot and we are putting this property on our list as a top place to stay again.

Easy to get to subways and time square from this hotel

Hotel staff were very friendly , in particular Rachel , who showed extended kindness and warmth . We will most definitely return in the future .

Did like its location and accessibility. Staff were friendly and prompt to help.

Extremely expensive for little to no amenities. No coffee. Tea pot, with no tea. No real lobby. Room size OK. Fan in A/C kept making loud noises that keep you awake. Turned it off only to find out it was drowning out loud gathering in seating area on second floor. This is at 2:30 a.m.

It was small hotel , clean but only one restaurant , no breakfast available but the area is full of Resturant and close to everything

Excellent hotel, conveniently situated in Midtown new York. Great place to stay for all the attractions of the city.

Rachel and all the other front desk staff are very helpful. The hotel is very clean and housekeeping is great. they clean the room everyday. We will stay again when we go back to NY.

My room smelled like mold…something wasn’t draining well in the bathroom. The fridge had stuff in it from the previous guest too. I guess you get what you pay for
