The staff was very friendly and helpful. We were even upgraded to a larger room at no cost when they found out it was our anniversary! The room itself was well appointed time t and the king size bed. Dry comfortable. We also went to the in-hotel bar and restaurant and found the service and staff just as friendly and helpful! Great place to stay in the Financjal district!

Staff extremely helpful and considerate. The room was spacious and nicely cleaned.

Shower had mold. No decent place to put things down in the bathroom - shelves above toilet? Dangerous spot to have things fall into toilet and too high up. Sink sprayed water everywhere. Just overall you can tell it’s time for a renovation

Lovely room, great amenities (including welcome prosecco). But the real stars of this hotel are the staff. We had to hunker down and cancel plans because of the storm and everyone was so accommodating and understanding. We were also celebrating a birthday and the staff went above and beyond for us. I want to give a special thanks to the front desk staff including Angel, Micelle, and Simon - you guys were truly wonderful.

The staff was behind courteous and helpful. The food in the restaurant was excellent. Better than anticipated. The location was great. Quiet, close to subway and South Street Seaport. Our nieces have been coming here for quite a while and recommended The Gild highly. Room was a little shabby. Could use to be painted, bathroom caulked. Headboard was a bit worn.

Really loved how friendly the staff was. Always over the top and one of the best experiences I’ve had in a hotel setting. My only issue was the address online sometimes is a little off showing on Gold st. My water was also coming out as orange maybe because of pipes? Not sure.

Overcharged from the get go. Hotel couldn’t even reverse the holds. Was held for triple the amount that the hotel total cost due to a “system error”, that has not been returned to me. Staff did not care one bit. Rooms are old and dated.
- 5/5
Staff was attentive, room was clean and comfortable. Did not notice any amenities aside from a rather bogus Nespresso machine. Felice restaurant was a delight. Not sure what the extra $35 destination fee was about unless it was imposed by the city or state or feds.

It was cozy and employees were friendly and responsive . The beds were pretty comfortable It felt a little dark like guest rooms needed updating. The tile shower was not in best condition and bacteria on tub and shower caulk - that pinkish color . I tried to order room service- called twice and had to leave a voice mail and also front desk and no luck. it would have been nice to have a coffee maker in room . Seemed expensive for what you get but that is probably nyc

This is a nice hotel. I stayed in a king room, which was decently sized as far as NYC hotels to. The bathroom had a tub and shower curtain nstead of a walk-in shower. Such fixtures make rooms, no matter how nice, look old fashioned.

Room was tidy and looked like in its prime would have been nice.Breakfast staff were friendly and the breakfast was really good! Arrived and was told our room was not ready, we had just drove for 12 hours and were ready to crash. I was offered a drink at the bar, but that quickly changed to warm bottles of water as they found us an alternate room. One of the two elevators were broken ( wait time was long). Room was tidy but not cleaned as much as the reviews said. Room was worn, needed a refresher. Was told that the gym was tiny so told to use Crunch instead, then ended up having to pay for a pass, hotel said they would credit it- didn’t do that, had to remind them when we paid.

Our go to hotel in NYC. Located in FiDi and very close to several subway stations to get you anywhere in Manhattan/Brooklyn. Walkable to many places (Battery Park, Oculs, China Town/Little Italy, Soho). The staff treat you like family and this is a dog friendly hotel. Small boutique hotel (but a Hyatt property) that has a great vibe and decor (not your boring rooms/lobby).

Gold Hall was everything. A little confusing to find but a wonderful hidden gem. Customer service from everyone employee was amazing, very welcoming, friendly but professional. My only issue in the elevator and my room floor was a stench of odor. Maybe mildew, kind of strand considering how well kept the hotel is. We also came across an employee cleaning and sanitizing the elevators. Overall I would say Glid Hall is a great choice and I will be back.

Super happy with this property. The staff was very welcoming and constantly checked up on us to see if we needed anything. I particular shout-out to Elizabeth who checked us in and was particularly kind after a long day of travel. Gild Hall is within walking distance of many attractions, and there are plenty of coffee shops, restaurants and even a full grocery store near by. Highly recommended. Will return.

Booked a last-minute trip to NYC leading up to New Year’s Eve and of course had trouble finding a nice hotel. Happened upon Gild Hall by Hyatt on hotels.com and couldn’t have been more pleased. Staff was friendly and helpful, check-in was quick and easy, and the rooms were nicely appointed. Special shout out to the staff member who checked us in (sorry can’t remember his name) who was funny & offered us champagne while we checked in. I’ve been a dedicated Hilton Honors member for years, but I know when I come into NYC, Gild Hall is where we’ll stay!

This hotel is a bit away from the busy midtown Manhattan area, but the amazing customer service from the staff makes it one of the top choices to stay in the city. The friendly staff and their attention to detail create a welcoming atmosphere that more than makes up for the hotel's distance from the lively action of NYC.

Sunday morning I checked my bank account as I always do and noticed I was missing a significant amount of money. I noticed 3 additional charges from the Gild Hotel. I went down to the front desk to ask what the charges were (and to let them know there was what appeared to be blood stains on the sheets) and the gentleman behind the desk called for the manager, Dalila. Dalila came and explained at first that she could not see what the charge was for. I made her aware that I understood the one charge was for the incidental fee, but there were 2 additional charges that should not be there. In an extremely condescending tone, she told me that it’s “not a big deal,” and that she was trying to explain to me what the charges are (even though she did not know). Berating me, she smirked and kept interrupting me as I was trying to explain to her that one charge was too specific of a number to simply be a mistake and that something was wrong.

Berating me, she smirked and kept interrupting me as I was trying to explain to her that one charge was too specific of a number to simply be a mistake and that something was wrong.

Nice size room and very comfortable bed for a reasonable price. It would be nice if the shower had a hand held shower head in addition to the rainfall shower head.

Once complaint was we participated in the Thanksgiving day parade and when we came back to get our bags and have lunch - the front desk said they couldn't provide us a couple of towels to dry off. That's just bad and lazy service for paying guests.

Great place to stay in the Financial District. Rooms are small, but efficient and clean. Loved the free Prosecco in the evening.

Customer Service: The front desk tells you nothing beyond taking ID, payment and handling over key cards. How about letting guests know their room key is needed to work the elevator, or that there's no coffee/tea making facilities in your room. On that subject - Called down to get a coffee maker, including requesting regular and decaf but they only brought regular and they were all froo-froo flavoured stuff. Yuck! To add insult to injury, the coffee maker didn't work so called down again and was told a replacement would be coming up, but it never showed up (30 min later) before leaving for dinner and a show. No coffee! We returned later and recalled the front desk, because they didn't replace the coffee maker arranged earlier. Response... let me see if I can find another one. Some 15 mins later another maker shows up, so then rementioned wanting regular (unflavoured) coffee and decaf. Response... we don't have access to any of that. Still no coffee! In summary: If a supposed upscale hotel this was awful and nothing like their posting, we'll never stay at a Thompson Hotel ever again.

Comfy & friendly, outside of the room feeling too cold & drafty. Meant to ask for a blanket as that would have helped.

I had a very nice stay at Gild Hall for a business trip. It was in the heart of the financial district (Wall Street, etc.) and it was a very nice hotel overall. The service was excellent and the front desk was on it and helpful. The hotel is clean, modern, fun, and very nice overall. I will stay here again.

Beautiful hotel, clean room and friendly staff.

Breakfast which apparently is run separately was a bit trying as the service was extremely slow and we would often wait 30-40 mins for our food. Overall great stay

The property definitely needs an upgrade, missed my room cleaning, just generally not worth the $$.

The check-in experience was lovely. I was offered free Prosecco for my very short wait. The staff was friendly and accommodating throughout my stay. My only complaint is that there is no coffee in the rooms and it proved to be difficult to order it up to the room. No one answered three tries to the restaurant to have some sent up and there was no breakfast menu inside the room. But when I went down to order, it was fast and they would friendly. Great stay for a quick business trip

Fantastic position nr Wall Street and nr Fulton St Subway. Nice hotel, clean, quiet and great service. A little tired around the edges but nothing too bad and would stay again. Very comfy beds and great for the price considering its NY. A kettle and tea/ coffee would have been nice. Recommended.

The staff were amazing! Always going above and beyond. Hotel room was spacious and cleaned every day. Location was very convenient, close to the subway and many restaurants. I would stay at this hotel again!

Room was big and neighborhood was much quieter than most other NYC neighborhoods. Staff were extremely friendly.

First time staying at Gild Hall. Nice property. Outstanding staff at front desk and at restaurant/bar Felice makes the difference! We will stay at this property again.

The hotel was perfect. Nicely appointed, clean, sizable rooms with a restaurant attached. Breakfast each day was very good, but a bit pricey for the smaĺl portions received. Location was perfect for our walks thru Manhattan. Uber very quickly accessible for the theater and events in Brooklyn including the high line. Would recommend the hotel to family and friends. Most definitely would stay at this hotel again.

Could not of asked for a better experience! The hotel is amazing and I highly recommend it. The staff was perfect. The restaurant was top notch and the food was mouth watering delicious. We really could not of had a better experience. We forgot the check out time and found ourselves in Times Square when we should have been leaving. A quick call to the hotel and all was taken care of. Thanks to the staff!

Great decor in the lobby! Room space was typical for NY but extremely clean. Wasn’t there much but I have zero complaints and would recommend!

Super friendly staff. Will stay again!

The staff was an absolute 10/10. Friendly, attentive, and Importantly enough on staff so that they weren’t overwhelmed by check in. Something that is lacking in many hotels I find. I will stay here again as often as possible.

I booked a stay through hotels.com. One day before my trip, I received a message from the hotel through the website, saying there was no room available due to a glitch in the system. This left me with nowhere to stay at all in New York City, and places were either sold out or over $1000 for the night. They did not offer ANY compensation. I followed job with the hotel to let them know I was a Hyatt member and this was unacceptable and they offered points, but they clearly were not offering anything as compensation for this massive inconvenience. I will never stay at this hotel or book through hotels.com ever again. This was my first, only, and last time.

Loved the feel of the hotel, charming and interesting. Rooms are not large, but it is New York! Great food in the restaurant and easy to get around.
- 5/5
Rooms are cozy & comfortable and layout was just right for a couple like us with no kids. All the staff were considerate and accommodating. There is valet parking and uber stops right in front of the hotel. Gild also has a restaurant with in room dining option, a bar and coffee refreshments in the lobby. Will definitely include in our list of fave hotels in NY

I really liked this hotel. It’s a vibe. And the worker at the front desk is sweet. The room was nice and tv had good channels on it. The room is a nice and beautiful. I would definitely come here again!
