The hotel is praised for its friendly and helpful staff, as well as its excellent location in midtown Manhattan. The hotel's bar and restaurant are also well-regarded.

Great location. Lovely hotel. Staff is excellent. Nice vibe
- 3/5
The room AC did not work well (even with the fan at max), and the room was warm/sticky, as a result.
- 5/5
The staff were super friendly and accommodating, bed was really comfortable, and the room was super clean! I also loved that it was close to the park for my morning runs and walks!
- 5/5
Great location, large rooms, great amenities, on site bar/restaurant is excellent.
- 5/5
Very pleasant stay at this attractive, well-located hotel with helpful and efficient staff.
- 4/5
Great location, great hotel for a quick stay near 59th avenue
- 5/5
The hotel is in a great location, close to Central Park and museums. The room was very clean, and the staff welcoming and professional. We stopped in the bar in the evenings and the staff there were very attentive and kind. Our stay at the Fitzgerald was great.
- 5/5
The front deck staff were incredibly helpful and kind. The room was more than I expected and very large. I would definitely stay again. It is walking distance to MOMA as well.
- 4/5
I would caution light sleepers that we heard sirens and horns on the 7th floor throughout the night. Some deferred maintenance issues: 1. Stains on 7th floor hall carpet 2. Fabric on couch in room 702 could use cleaning. 3 Bath towels has seen their better days. With all that being said, the hotel was a relative bargain for Midtown Manhattan at less than $500 per night.
- 4.5/5
spacious suite, good desk tvs are small for the current era
- 5/5
Only two critiques there is no microwave or refrigerator in the room. But rooms are clean beds are very comfortable, the bar restaurant is nice and the staff there are very friendly and professional.

This is a classic location. It has its quirks, but those are all charming.

Great midtown location. The rooms are small but comfortable and clean.
- 4/5
Loved the old charm to the building. Very clean and very nice staff.
- 5/5
There is however a facilities fee of $37 per day which was not mentioned on your website that customers should be aware of. Morning Coffee is very expensive $8 plus tax for a latte.

Great experience and very accommodating staff Nothing
- 5/5
I love this location, safe, convenient. Rooms are quite large, the bar/restaurant is great! Staff is friendly and helpful. I’ve stayed here several times, will return again!
- 3/5
The bar was excellent but very few amenities in the rooms. No lotion, shower cap or other things I expect from a 4 star hotel. My room was quite small with a tiny bathroom.
- 4/5
Staff in restaurant were fantastic
- 5/5
Rooms were a good size for a suite room in Midtown Manhattan.
- 5/5
Unexpected upgrade to a suite, very clean and pretty room. The bed was extremely comfortable. The hotel was very quiet (the usual NYC street noise is present, but no noise from other rooms). The maids asked if I needed anything whenever I saw them and they were both very nice. The location was convenient to several different subways trains. Very good experience, would stay there again.

Yes and Yes!
- 3/5
Friendly staff and great subway access. The building is older and had a slight musty smell — probably wouldn’t bother most people, but it triggered my asthma. The room had a fan which helped a little, but I personally wouldn’t stay here again.
- 5/5

Nice hotel in a great location.
- 5/5
We have stayed here twice and love it! We originally chose the hotel because we could reserve a one-bedroom suite which is nice with a toddler. The hotel is clean and the staff we interacted with were helpful and friendly.
- 5/5
There was a pipe burst one morning after my travel day to NY so I had to walk 4 blocks to shower at a gym on a cold April morning. They didn’t offer me any compensation for the trouble I went through before a busy work day… that being said, when I asked for a breakfast voucher they gave it to me. I feel like they could have done that outright (or free breakfast for my entire stay) instead of me having to ask. The staff was very nice and my room was comfortable, but don’t think they did enough to acknowledge the unusual hassle and grace I gave them at the time.
- 4/5
Great location, easy to get to. Clean, spacious rooms. Easy check-in. The room was extremely cold and nothing could be changed about that - no heating in the room, and noisy air con managed centrally by the hotel. We had to ask for many extra blankets; and got cold very fast in the room. Hot water took a long time to come and the overall water pressure was low - not great for showering.
- 4/5
Very good
- 3/5
Lovely spacious room. Alarm went off at 6 AM. Not good. Restaurant overpriced.
- 5/5
Very pleasant stay at the Fitzpatrick - the hotel has the best staff, courteous, professional and helpful. The location in upper manhattan is perfect. We have been going back year after year and we are never disappointed.

The hotel was having an issue with hot water and AC during my stay, but the staff were very apologetic. The issues were beyond their control and they let us know what was going on, so I did not count it against them in my rating. I loved the doorman who was very courteous and helpful. The suite was very spacious and comfortable. There was no view, but the room was very quiet and private.
- 5/5
We had a wonderful time.
- 5/5
Spacious well maintained rooms in an older building. Location was very good close to fifth ave and the park
- 4/5
My room did not have refrigerator or microwave. The staff was nice enough
- 2/5
I walked into my room that reeked of marijuana in a no smoking building, there was no air-conditioning because apparently the building hadn't switched it on yet and when I was offered a fan, they realized they didn't have any available. On top of that there was no hot water the second night, which is not their fault because it was due to a pipe burst on the street. Nonetheless, until I explicitly asked to have the resort fee removed, they were not going to give me any kind of compensation. I will not be staying here again.
- 5/5
Great location to Central Park, shopping. This hotel has a great vibe unlike large scale hotel properties. Our 1-BR suite was perfect. Staff is really nice.

1) My flights into BYC were delayed so I arrived around 1:30 AM in the morning on Saturday. Their computer system was being updated, which according to staff is a recurring problem EVERY Friday night. the night manager was understandably yelling at the tech support, but I could not check in for 30 minutes. That's rough 2) HOT water issues. When I got to my room at 2 AM, there was no hot water. I called the front desk who said it would be back on at 10 AM. Do try and let guests know that ahead of time 3) Room amenities broken: I was there for a black tie event, and the clothes iron didn't work. They said they would send another one up ASAP (I was in a rush) but they didn't for 30 minutes. 4) No A/C: there was no A/C on a warm night, and the windows (Which are supposed to open a crack) wouldn't open. I really want to support Fitzpatrick but these issues are added a lot of undue stress to an already stressful situation.

We always have a nice stay at the Fitzpatrick Manhattan Hotel. The staff is so warm and helpful and the neighborhood is very convenient. We booked a regular Suite, but then got upgraded to the Robinson Suite which was a real treat. We always feel at home there.

Fantastic hotel, central to all the local attractions including Times Square and Central Park, which were all within a comfortable walking distance. Access to the Subway to travel further was again close by as were local eateries and bars. Overall, a fabulous Irish Hotel which felt like home away from home. I couldn't find fault with anything.

The hotel location is great. We enjoyed staying there. However, I booked a double queen bed room, but at first I received a single Queen bed room. When I spoke with the staff, they finally gave me a double room with two double beds instead of queen beds. I hope they will fix this issue on the website, as it appears they do not have double queen beds.

Everything Staff were excellent Nothing

For a quick meal, My Pie Pizzeria Romana was directly across the street, with the best NY fresh pizza we've ever eaten! Highly recommend both the eggplant parm pizza and chicken alfredo pizza. Also- only a 19 min walk to Grand Central, or catch the 6 line Subway- a 2 minute walk at 59th & Lexinton.

Excellent hotel with helpful, friendly staff and in a great location. Feels very "New York," with an Irish flavor.

Clean and convenient location, friendly staff. Very cramped room, no bar soap in bathroom (was advised to use bath gel dispenser in shower for face washing over sink). TV lost network connection to many broadcast channels (including Olympic coverage on NBC). Property is right over subway line, so noise and bed-rattling occurred all night.

The location was perfect for an event I had to attend. Restaurant was superb but somewhat steep. Food and waitress excellent. Best Caesar Salad I ever had. Recommend highly. Staff were great. I would have liked a chair in the bedroom. The bed sheets were not properly made. Bathroom a little small. Hard to see numbers on the elevator. NYC traffic. Has not changed in 60 years.

Pluses: Good size room. Nice bedding. Excellent shower pressure. Very clean. Excellent breakfast. Excellent reception. Fair pricing. Minuses: Primitive HVAC. Soft bed. Sink that didn’t drain in room 1204. I was able to do a temporary fix. My view was of a blank brick wall. Depressing. I will stay here again as th location and value are fine.

The hotel was seriously great, and the staff was amazing. The ONLY thing I can complain about is the air conditioning in the room. We had an unusually hot weekend for NYC in January, and with the older AC unit and only one vent, the room was hot, but it wasn't unbearable. We opened the window, and that helped a lot.

The cleaning staff are seasoned and polite. The front desk staff however are not as welcoming and pleasant as they should be except for the GM. The restaurant and bar are a plus to have in this hotel and Breakfast room service while pricey is also a plus. The room itself was clean but the shower floor was not. The bathrooms in general need updating.

The location is brilliant! Very central. Close to 5th Ave. Walking distance of lots of sights. Close to shops, cafes and restaurants. Nice quiet bar with great range and big comfortable rooms. The location is excellent. Our room -1103 - was a very comfortable size with good sized closet, queen bed, large desk and chair, two nightstands, TV, and bureau. And there was still room to walk around. The bathroom was comfortably roomy but during the very cold night the bathroom was very cold. The room was quiet. The only thing I would have liked would have been a free breakfast of some kind. All told, a very nice hotel. Cold bathroom!

I haven't had a great stay yet; I only clicked to rate my check-in experience, which was very good. The hotel is nice but frankly I prefer the less fancy hotels that are still very nice and have refrigerators and microwaves in the rooms, and ice machines and drink machines on most floors. i'm not sure why fancy = no refrigerator or ice machine but it's a distinct disadvantage. i'm paying for the location for this place, but if I had a choice I would never pick a fancy place without the basic amenities of less swanky hotels.

This was my second stay at the Fitzpatrick. It's a perfectly nice hotel but, honestly, not amazing. Reception staff were very nice and helpful, and the room was fine but...other staff were consistently very loud as they worked in the hallway (loud walkie-talkies) outside my room and in the restaurant area where I had to listen to the hostess planning a trip with her boyfriend on speaker phone--as if a customer weren't sitting 20 feet away. My room view was of a brick wall and the climate control (or whatever it was) kept me up much of the night by switching on and off (even after I turned off the AC). So, not a great visit. But also not terrible. I guess that explains why I found a vacancy during the UN general assembly week.

This was a fantastic stay. Would highly recommend to anyone! Roomy closet, comfy bed and linens, walkable to everything we wanted to see, bathrooms and lobby were clean, elevator easily accessible!

The room was much smaller than described. Furniture and walls were dated. New paint/wallpaper and furniture will benefit the room.

An amazing property for the age of it. It is rustic, but very comfortable and very well managed and staff go a lot further than any of the other flagship names.

The staff were very helpful. As a single traveler, I felt very safe. It was convenient to have a restaurant serving breakfast lunch and dinner on site.

A lovely boutique style hotel. Quiet and super comfortable bed and lovely breakfast. Would revisit again
- 5/5
This was my first stay at this property and I was very impressed with the hotel and the friendliness of the staff.
- 5/5
Great breakfast! Always quiet and the location is perfect.
- 5/5
Staff was so nice and helpful—from Concierge to housekeeping to doormen. Lengthy paid happy hour in the bar but drinks and appetizers were good. Convenient area for walking to sites. Will definitely stay here again.

I did not stay at this property nor did I book it. Expedia erroneously booked it using my credit card information from a previous reservation and will not refund it. Additionally, in my numerous correspondence and verbal conversations, the Expedia representatives lied and said they contacted the hotel on my behalf. I spoke with the hotel general manager myself, there was no contact. This is a security breach and theft at the hands of Expedia.

Everyone was very friendly and accommodating. Rooms a little out dated but very clean and orderly. Could have used a fridge in the room. Never found ice machine in hotel so had to keep going to bar for glasses of ice.
- 5/5
James was very personable and professional in welcoming us. Room was tastefully furnished, bed very comfortable. At breakfast, the attentive service, delicious food, and peaceful ambiance provided a perfect way to start the day!

We always have a comfortable stay at the Fitzpatrick. Very convenient location. Staff is very friendly.
- 5/5
it is a wonderful property very walkable. I had a nice quiet little room. Which was very well appointed. The only drawback is the lack of electrical outlets.
- 3/5
Room was spacious and comfortable. However air conditions system is old and doesn't allow for temperature control (just 4-5 settings for hot, cold, cool etc.). Also the shower had issue, shower pressure was very low and the water was not draining. Had to stop showering after 5 minutes because I was worried the water would overflow (not a full bath tab, just standing shower with a very low ledge).
- 5/5
Nice spot in midtown Manhattan. Close to Central Park south, Grand Central, MOMA, etc.

Great staff

Great for families

Polite and efficient staff, great location, clean comfortable suite, and lovely hotel.

I loved this place. It was perfect for where I needed to be and the staff were so friendly and helpful, the rooms were made up on a timely basis and the beds were so comfortable. I’d love to stay there again, it was a pleasure. Thank you for a great stay in a lively place (and we loved the w

Very nice staff and rooms
- 4/5
Clean comfortable and in a very safe area. The a/c was not running well and room was not cool enough and no ventilation in bathroom. A little loud during the night.
- 3/5
The parking hotel offers is not reliable . We come to NYC for overnight stay due to our early appointment at MSK and left car at the parking hotel uses Next morning the parking was closed and we needed several intervention to be able to get back car Big stress !!!
- 5/5
Fabulous hotel with a proper Irish welcome. Food was excellent especially the bar food menu. Standards of cleanliness were top notch. Will definitely stay again when in NYC next.
- 5/5
Exceptional service on every level; friendly and efficient in an elegant setting. Can't wait to visit again!
- 5/5
All around nice hotel. Very friendly staff. I would definitely stay here again.
- 4/5
It’s a nice hotel, clean in general, the only issue was that the shower was cloaged and even though they tried, it couldn’t be repaired. Everyone is very kind and attentive.
- 5/5
Clean, quiet room. Great A/C and good price on a hard to find living room seperate bedroom in Manhattan for the price.
- 4/5
Very happy to have stayed here and will do so again. Check-in was simple. Room was nice and clean, location was perfect. They also held my bags for several hours so I didn’t have to haul them around the city. Recommend!
- 4/5
All good.
- 5/5
friendly staff... fanily feel. nice room service, fun, convenient bar. great stay!
- 5/5
Amazing hotel - friendly staff and a perfect location. Couldn't have asked for a better stay!
- 5/5
Great hotel. Very personal and accommodating staff.
- 5/5
Such a clean, nice, friendly, hotel that is conveniently located. We had a great room, walked to shopping & dining and was very safe and quiet. They even had an awesome Happy Hour! I would recommend Fitzpatrick Manhattan to everyone!

I left this property after one night to move to a different hotel, and I’m so glad I did. I booked a deluxe queen room and was stuffed in a sad little lightless cave on the second floor. Lack of natural light aside, the room hadn’t been adequately cleaned; I found items left by previous occupants in the closet and drawers. The elevator required a key card, but you could easily access any floor using the stairs. If you care about security, cleanliness, or customer service, this probably isn’t the hotel for you.
- 5/5
We stayed for two night. Spacious room. Staff as very friendly and accommodating.
- 4/5
The breakfast was delicious, good pancakes, and the service nice. Great location
- 5/5
Great location and staff. Good value for the price.
- 5/5
The hotel was good but the restaurant was SOOO SLOW
- 5/5
The red awnings are attractive and make the hotel easy to find. It is an older hotel with dark woodwork. Breakfast, not included, is convenient and good. The elevators and the rooms are small. No room for a queen size bed or a mini fridge or a large TV. However the bed is comfortable, the shower is fairly hot, and housekeeping does an excellent job. It is in a great location for walking to shopping, restaurants, MOMA, Central Park. Check out is a civilized 12 PM and the front desk staff are crisp and efficient. At a fair price for NYC, this is good value.
- 2/5
Room was so dark ! No light whatsoever. I could feel the subway train every time it passed by ( I was on the 3rd floor ? Shocked to see the day was bright and blue when I left the hotel.
- 4/5
All okay
- 5/5
Nice place. Expedia makes you pay additional resort fee. If you book directly - you don’t pay this useless fee for a gym that isn’t even in the hotel.
- 5/5
Overall a very good stay and reasonably priced
- 5/5
great stay
- 1/5
I enjoyed my last stay here, however this time in the month of May a cold front came in the area lowering the temperature. there was no heat in the room, the staff was apologetic and gave me a heater for the room. I did not hear from management, no discounts, nothing. I planned to extend my stay, but after what I encountered, I went somewhere else, very disappointing.
- 4/5
Room was lovely looking, nicely appointed. l loved that they provided a robe and umbrella, it was a rainy weekend. Bathroom had beautiful marble work but was too small to be comfortable. You could not use the toilet without bumping into the toilet tissue holder on one side and the shower enclosure on the other side. On a positive note, there was ample storage, multiple shelves above the toilet so you could spread out your makeup. The magnifying mirror was mounted too high, but I managed. The choices on the TV were from the dark ages. No pay channels and NO STREAMING CHANNELS. I missed my Netflix.
- 4/5
Rooms feel old. Clean but old. Wall Pairings aren’t level which feels like there was a crazy party. The shower has plastic curtains which makes it feel cheap. For business trip it’s fine and affordable around that area.
- 3/5
The staff was very nice but our room eas extremely dark and dated
- 5/5
A charming hotel with an attentive staff… we will be back!
- 5/5
Very nice
- 3/5
Beds are too small for two people. The showers are not effective with the small shower head coming straight down from the ceiling with poor water pressure.
- 5/5
First time staying at the Fitzpatrick. I’d come back fid the staff, alone. They are friendly and check in was a breeze.
- 5/5
The Fitzpatrick Hotel Manhattan was over and above our expectations and as an Irish ☘️ transplant here in the US I have never encountered more people from home in years. Definitely our Go To Hotel for the future in NYC👏👏👏
- 1/5
There was no "welcome to the Fitzpatrick, how was your journey, can we help with your bags". We went to our rooms (three in total) and I can only say these were the most depressing, tired, dark rooms and absolutely not my expectation of four star accommodation. You'll see the photo's below - couple this with broken belt loops on bathrobes, a broken phone, a door lock that fell off every time you closed the door, a lack of decent sized towels for two people, the battery cover missing from the front of the safe. We met in the lobby every morning and every evening before going out and we were never spoken to once inc
- 5/5
Just lovely. Great location for metro and bus. Lots of options for shopping (Bloomingdales just down the block). If you are fit, you can walk to theater and stop on the way for dinner. About a mile each way. We will make this our NYC location for visits to come!
- 5/5
Excellent customer service and the rooms were very clean, well put together.
- 5/5
Great location…friendly and helpful staff…nice rooms
- 5/5
This is a delightful Irish Old World feel boutique hotel with excellent amenities and a great staff!
- 5/5
Only drawback: It was a very hot day in Manhattan (April 19) and they could not turn on the air unless it was done for the whole facility (old building). What they did to help was send up a floor fan, which definitely helped us sleep.
- 5/5
The stay at Fitzpatrick Manhattan Hotel was amazing. All staff was courteous and very helpful. I found a new tea as well! Barry's. I would recommend the Fitzpatrick to anyone considering a NYC stay.
- 5/5
Very nice but slightly dated hotel, with warm welcome and great location in Midtown. Everything is walkable, and there are several subway lines within a few blocks. The Pop-up bagel and Maman shops within a block were excellent options for breakfast. The suite was shockingly huge, though it could have used more plugs for chargers. If your room is on Lexington Ave, expect some noise, but it's a city so not surprising.
- 4/5
The hotel is fantastic and so conveniently located. We had a suite which is perfect for two however the side bed is wildly uncomfortable and we had to call for pillows and duvet. They could at least add a pillow top to the creaky and hard mattress. Otherwise I love this place.
- 3/5
No mechanical AC available. Had to request staff to open windows and provide a floor fan
- 5/5
All Good
- 5/5
Nice sized room in a convenient location.
- 5/5
Excellent location with a friendly, helpful staff. Comfortable, professional environment that doesn’t that has a nice, Irish feel.
- 1/5
The water from the restroom sink.. murkey white. Not suitable to brush teeth
- 5/5
Excellent and extremely conveniently located to all the fun stuff and midtown east
- 5/5
A very comfortable hotel. Our one bedroom suite was spacious and well-appointed. The staff is very friendly and professional. The food at the restaurant is very good. And lovely to be able to have the option of room service.
- 5/5
Charming! Irish hospitality. Yummy breakfast. Comfortable bed. Close to everything midtown.
- 5/5
Great trip, kudos to Brianna and Niall for great service and chat. Highly recommend a visit!!
- 5/5
It's a charming small hotel with a lovely staff. Very safe and close to many things.
- 5/5
Good food. Fairly reasonable prices. Staff were more interested in hanging at the front desk than being interactive and helpful. I was a bit bummed that my room service order was messed up. Overall, though impersonal, the hotel was clean and nice.

My husband and I stayed for one night in a one bedroom suite. Our room was comfortable and well-appointed. Plenty of space for two people. We had room service and also ate at the restaurant. Very good food. Very convenient location. We really enjoyed our stay.
- 5/5
Efficient checkin
- 5/5
Very friendly hotel with a good restaurant.
- 4/5
Lot of construction going on in the area, staff can be a little more welcoming. Very clean rooms and comfortable.
- 5/5
The staff was amazing
- 3/5
not up to stds for this price hotel - won't stay here again
- 4/5
Great spot for quick NYC trip! Located pretty much near everything and had easy parking. Staff were very nice as well.
- 5/5
Nice bar and restaurant. A bit challenging to get to certain places via subway. Room lovely but a bit dark as we had no street facing windows. Woukd definitely stay here again
- 4/5
Nice room, the only problem was that the room was overly warm and there was no way to lower the temperature other than to open windows, and then the street noise was loud
