This Hotel is very good located. Approx. 20 minutes' walk from Times square. Safe and quiet. The breakfast as amazing. Very good assorted and fresh. The front desk personnel were amazing and helpful.

The breakfast was average at best, and the breakfast area felt very improvised, with food being served from just a couple of folding tables rather than a proper setup. The one positive aspect of our experience was the staff. Despite all the issues with the property itself, every staff member we interacted with was friendly, professional, and helpful. Overall, the hotel needs significant updates and improvements. For the price we paid, we expected a much more modern, clean, and functional property. The staff did their best, but the condition of the hotel did not justify the cost.

Staff was very courteous and helpful the whole time. Location in midtown is very convenient. Really glad I switched it to this hotel. Breakfast was hot and ready to go. Staff was monitoring breakfast and keeping it stocked. Definitely worth it. I would stay in this hotel again.

When I tell you this staff was 5 stars, they WERE 5 STARS!!! The moment we checked in it was 5 star treatment, Reuben help us with our bags and helped us get everything to the room. We were offered cookies and some beverage in the front (like a passion fruit, mango thing) it was delicious. Through out our stay the staff was ALWAYS polite and kind, from the breakfast staff to the cleaning staff EVERYONE was ALWAYS kind. The staff was TOP TIER!! Sterling, Malachi, Reuben and Tracy THANK YOU for an AMAZING STAY!!!!

We were pleasantly surprised by our experience at Fairfield Inn & Suites. The room was generously sized, well laid out and equipped with commendable facilities that made our short stay both comfortable and convenient. Everything was well-maintained and the overall atmosphere felt fresh and welcoming. Although we only stayed for one night, the hotel left such a positive impression that we would seriously consider booking again for a future visit or even just a quick transit stop. The location is a major plus—conveniently situated near Penn Station, NY and within easy reach of a great variety of dining options, making it ideal for travelers who value accessibility. A special shoutout goes to the Front Desk team, who were warm, efficient and genuinely helpful. In particular, Mr. Malachi stood out for his exceptional service - he made us feel truly welcome from the moment we arrived. Overall, a wonderful stay that exceeded expectations. Highly recommended for anyone looking for quality, convenience and outstanding hospitality. Nothing in particular.

Overall, I had a very good stay. The location is excellent, especially for exploring Manhattan, and the staff were friendly and helpful throughout. The room was clean and comfortable, though a bit small, which is expected in New York. Breakfast was decent but could use a bit more variety. A solid choice for the area, and I would consider staying here again

The location was great. It's within walking distance to entertainment while being secluded. The room was clean, quiet, and cozy. The additional free breakfast bar was great. Choices were plentiful and the area was very clean. I book a stay there for a quiet gateway and it didn't disappoint. I would visit again. My room was close to the elevator which was sometimes a bit loud.

The location was espectacular, you had access to time square,broadway, empire state and bryanr park all within 3 blocks walking, along with multiple subway options to travel farther away Only the heating in the room in day 1 was off, but after reporting it it was fixed within 2 hrs.

Great location in Manhattan. Was within walking distance of all the great sights. But every hotel in the area could claim the same. Location of breakfast area definitely an add on maybe a former garden?? Was unheated and, in November, extremely cold. There were 2 other Marriott properties that seemed to be in the same building. Fairfield Inn definitely the older and less spiffy. Rooms seemed very small. Beside bed only a very uncomfortable chair that almost fit under a desk mounted on top of the HVAC unit. Made it difficult to navigate the room. Definitely needed more storage. A small closet shoehorned in a corner by desk and nightstand was nearly impossible to use. Didn't unpack suitcases do to lack of storage in the room. All in all good for business travelers for short stays, that are traveling light. But very pricey for that.

Unfortunately, extra pillows and sheets were also unavailable. That said, the hotel’s location is excellent, which makes it a good choice overall

I just had one issue this time - it was our second time here - the cleaning lady(s) always took our toilet paper and did not replace it with a new one, I mean, she left us every single day without paper, we had to ask for it every day, that should be basic checklist for them. Other than that I highly recommend this hotel if you are staying in Manhattan.

The area seemed a little unsafe, the breakfast was not great. We mostly ate the yogurt parfait cups and fruit because everything else didn’t taste good. Staff was nice. Rooms were TINY and dirty. There was mold in the bathroom and there were holes from the towel rack that they didn’t fix. Overall would NOT recommend.

Room was clean allow slightly dated Our last night was disturbed with a faulty fire alarm that lasted for a few hours lasting until 1.00am ( faulty panel ) staff tried to rectify but were unable no apologies in the morning when checking out

Room attendant were fast enough to send a maintenance crew but was not able to fix it.

The breakfast is Rich enough and it is not Continental as in Europe you have enough things there to eat

Ice and vending machine is in the basement which is not ideal. Rooms are small, as they are in NY, but didn’t spend much time in it. Loud fan for air conditioner but we turned it off to sleep and it was no problem.

The desk staff was amazing. ALL of them. No matter when we went to the desk for assistance or information, we were greeted and treated fantastic. They were as helpful as they were friendly. No matter the request, they attempted to get us the best solution. SUPER, SUPER, SUPER!!!

2) Despite the stated smoke-free policy, the room below was smoking a lot, and it kept coming up into my room for all 3 nights I was there. As someone with allergies, who looks specifically for smoke-free locations, this was extremely disappointing.

Staff was great, helpful, did all they could to make up for it. 4 nights in a row and two morning the fire alarm for the whole floor went off. So yea, 1030pm or later without fail I would walk 17 floors down to be told again, false alarm. They couldn't credit me because I booked through Expedia, which I think is false but whatever. Might return, might not. Plenty of other properties in the same block to pick from

Maintenance came to look at it twice; the first time the heater ran nonstop; the second time the heat stayed on for a few hours but then shut off completely and would not come on at all (which is a problem in January). I ended up taking the front panel off the entire heating system and pulling the unit away from the wall so I could access the controls manually. Not what I want to deal with while on vacation!

Stayed here in between Christmas and New Years. At $800 per night I expected more. Place is fine. When we arrived our rooms deadbolt didn’t work (looked like someone broke into the room with a large screw driver or crowbar), so we had to call the front desk. The “Front desk” button on the room phone DOES NOT get you the front desk at the hotel, it brings you to Mariott’s customer service center (nightmare), I couldn’t understand a thing the woman was saying to me. Anyway after a walk down to the front desk a couple Service guys came and fixed it quickly, no complaints there, very nice. The room is nothing fancy, 2 beds and just enough space to walk around each one, that’s it. Bathroom was good size for Manhattan but the wallpaper was coming off the wall, the grout in the shower tile was super dirty. For $125 a night I’d say this place would be great, at $800 not so much. Stayed here in between Christmas and New Years. At $800 per night I expected more. Place is fine. When we arrived our rooms deadbolt didn’t work (looked like someone broke into the room with a large screw driver or crowbar), so we had to call the front desk. The “Front desk” button on the room phone DOES NOT get you the front desk at the hotel, it brings you to Mariott’s customer service center (nightmare), I couldn’t understand a thing the woman was saying to me. Anyway after a walk down to the front desk a couple Service guys came and fixed it quickly, no complaints there, very nice. The room is nothing fancy, 2 beds and just enough space to walk around each one, that’s it. Bathroom was good size for Manhattan but the wallpaper was coming off the wall, the grout in the shower tile was super dirty. For $125 a night I’d say this place would be great, at $800 not so much. I loved the breakfast area and the the cleanliness of the hotel. Only problem was trying to unload our car out in front of the hotel was hard as they was no open parking spot to pull over into.

We booked a room with a king bed and the room was supper small, there was no need for a king bed in such a small room. The bed was very comfortable. We had no room to put our bags anywhere and were almost stepping over them. A queen bed would have been much better suited for the size of the room. The carpet needed some cleaning but was not too bad. The bathroom was very clean and good size. Breakfast was included and it was really great, with lots of choices. The ice machine is in the basement which is a disaster as this is where all the cleaning supplies and rooms are and there were things placed everywhere. You had to navigate through the hall to get to the ice machine. Overall the hotel was decent, but would have expected more for of a bigger room the price. But we were not there to stay in the room but to visit NYC. It is more suited for a single person then for a couple.

The room smelled like mold

The location was what we needed for a quick stay on the west side. Midtown in general is not my favorite. The staff is incredible. Every member that I interacted with was lovely. The room was tiny and carpeted which was a bit yucky. I booked with Expedia so maybe there are better rooms. The free breakfast was GREAT! That was a really nice perk and saved us from going out, wasting time and spending a lot!

Check in was easy. The breakfast area was picked up and cleaned as needed. The food was typical complimentary food, but it seemed to be a step above the average in terms of looks and taste. There was a complimentary punch in the lobby that was delicious and the perfect refresher when returning after a busy day. Construction was going on, but it didn't interfere with our stay.

Front office staff is very friendly and helpful. The hotel is clean and has a great location. Breakfast area is small with limited healthy options.

Very cozy hotel and great staff! Amazing AC. Satisfactory breakfast options, but there was a Dunkin Donuts across the street that opened at 5am. My only issue is the HUGE pile of garbage outside the hotel that was there for days. Also, the room was very small. Sort of expensive for a small and outdated room.

Clean room, quick check in, very close to public transportation and to time square. Very comfortable bed, good internet and nice bathroom.

If the bath door had opened into the hall instead of into the bath, that would have helped a lot. Otherwise, this was near perfect. Wonderful staff, good breakfast and coffee. Elevators were quick. Location was great. Would stay here again!

It was a pleasure to stay here for my first visit to New York City. The staff were absolutely incredible, so friendly and helpful every time we ran into them. They always offered a smile and greeting which made me feel welcomed. The location was great for the plans we had (Koreatown, Times Square, and Madison Square Garden) and made walking everywhere very convenient. I would definitely stay here again if I plan to visit in the future.

The staff was OUTSTANDING. The rooms were cozy. Response time on services were fast. The hotel is in walking distance to attractions and shopping. We would visit again (definitely for the friendly staff and amazing service)

We were very happy we were allowed to check in earlier since our room was available. We loved the fresh juice, flavoured water and cookies provided daily. The complimentary breakfasts were very helpful to be able to budget for sightseeing etc. Our rooms were clean and shower pressure was fantastic!! The staff was very helpful and nice. Thank you!

Negative: Very small room with no view. Shower Darin was half clogged. Thin walls which also have a door separating my room from next, I could hear them easily.

Great location in mid town

After feeling extremely tired manager provide us with a room, she was so nice. But hotel is not worth to $545 per night. It’s more like hostel, everything was oldest, faucet was clogged and I felt like at hostel even not at motel. There was only 2 good things: Breakfast and good location to access everywhere.

Very easy to get from Newark airport by train and subway. We walked everywhere easily. Breakfast was wonderful but too cold to eat at tables so brought to our room. The bedroom was smaller than we were used to and there was nothing to place our luggage on to be off the carpet. Bedroom carpet outdated. Wallpaper ripped in several spots. Cracked sink but bathroom updated nicely. Small things like outlet cover broken off, door looked like someone tried to get in, can see the light in hall through door seam, very cheap duvet so we had on high and heating system is crazy noisy in room. Good value for the price. Nice water available as you enter. Staff very helpful and friendly. Thank you.

Great service, room and breakfast

Location was excellent. Hotel itself needs some updating but the staff was exceptional! The breakfast crew was friendly and very focused on cleanliness. Ray at the front desk was wonderful! He guided us to some delicious restaurants nearby and even helped us book a very comfortable ride back to the airport at the end of our stay.

It is very convenient because of location and the breakfast service, but there is a lot of noise and one cannot rest so well
