Reviews
The hotel is praised for its central location, cleanliness, and friendly staff. Many guests enjoyed the rooftop bar and the cookies provided. However, some guests found the rooms to be small and noisy, and a few had issues with the air conditioning and deposit refunds.

The staff here were fantastic. It’s a small, busy lobby but they were awesome in helping us with luggage and advice.
- 3/5
The space in each section is very narrow which makes it difficult to move around.
- 5/5
There was an issue with Expedia, and Expedia cancelled my reservation, but the agent at the hotel was quick to resolve it in person and accommodated us so swiftly. You can take really nice city pictures here! The view of the Empire State Building from our room was impeccable. You can also get a really amazing view and pictures in their rooftop lounge. Love their pesto flatbread! Will be back soon!
- 5/5
Excelente localización, personal amable!!! La vista desde el rooftop, impresionante. Disfruté de vista ünica del Empire State Bulding desde mi ventana.
- 5/5
The front desk staff at check in were very kind and helpful even though we got in really late.
- 5/5
Great hotel and locations. Beds were not the most comfortable. They need to switch out the mattresses to something that’s not a box bring.
- 2/5
Let’s start with it was, by far, the most expensive hotel at which I’ve ever stayed. It was $460 a night. I had high expectations. On the first evening I went up to the rooftop terrace to enjoy the view and take some photos. I was told to leave if I wasn’t going to order a drink. For $460! I thought as a Hilton Rewards guest that breakfast was included. No, it was going to be $27 a day. For $460 a night! The gym has no weight machine and NO WATER! For $460 a night! I thought the WiFi would be high speed using it just to send photos and watch Instagram videos. But, no, there was constant buffering! For $460 a night! There are nearby hotels that cost less and offer much more.
- 4/5
Great location if you are going to MSG. Also easy to catch a train to wherever you are going. Staff at front desk were terrific. All of them.
- 5/5
The room was clean but had a faint smell from last guest. Since we were there 5 days. Smell cleared. Restaurant registers broken charge to room. Vue180 roof bar was excellent. Staff impressed with multiple languages. One person spoke 23 languages.
- 5/5
The location of the hotel is decent, but it's important to note that this specific section of 8th Avenue has a very high concentration of homeless individuals. While the neighborhood outside can feel a bit intense, the hotel staff and security do an incredible job. They are highly visible and proactive, which made us feel entirely safe the moment we stepped inside. The Rooms Be prepared for tight quarters. The rooms are incredibly small—at least the one we stayed in. If you are traveling with a lot of luggage or prefer space to stretch out, you might feel a bit cramped here. The Service (10/10) The absolute highlight of this hotel is the service. Every single request we made was answered immediately and always with a genuine smile. A special shoutout goes to Cody, who was extremely helpful and went above and beyond to make our stay comfortable. The hospitality team really saves the day here. The Rooftop Bar (Vue180) While the views might be nice, Vue180 is an absolute pass. It is insanely expensive, and it felt like they use overcharging as a standard business method rather than an accident. Keep a close eye on your tab, or better yet, grab your drinks at one of the countless other bars nearby.
- 5/5
Perfect for our weekend trip, room was clean, staff are friendly and helpful and hotel is close to everything we needed
- 5/5
Amazing welcome. They let us check in early which really gave us a whole extra day in the city, was so much appreciated! Lovely room, great view, great staff. Would stay again! There was a lot of noise from the street below
- 5/5
Location is perfect. Metro is near, times square also. Lot of shops and places for eat just on the another side of the street. NYC is general expensive, but the price of hotel could be little cheaper
- 5/5
Felt the location was perfect for the reason of our stay (Broadway Show)
- 5/5
Always had new towels and made bed daily. Staff were so helpful and nice. Always greeted nicely any time of the day. It was our first time in NY and it made our experience so much better knowing we were going back to our safe, clean hotel
- 5/5
Convenient location, great staff
- 4/5
Sparkling clean. Area is not the best due to homeless people around.
- 4.5/5
Good location for connections to everything The gym is very simple and the breakfast is a bit oily
- 4/5
Rooms exceptionally clean, all staff that we met from housekeepers to reception staff were great, very friendly and helpful. Bed comfy and good shower The rooms were very small, too small for comfort
- 4/5
Mid town location Very comfortable bed Room was very small and didn’t have a mirror at the table for my wife to apply make up. A lot of homeless people gather outside
- 5/5
Hotel room was comfrontable, staff was helpful and the rooftop bar was very nice would stay again.
- 3/5
Came in early at 8am to drop bags, check in and back around 4pm for the room. When we came back, our room was not ready and we had to wait another hour. Not sure why the loooonggg delay but if I’ve already checked in the morning, why would I still wait past the check in time for my room. We were tired and also had a baby in tow. Staff was nice and friendly though and room was clean.
- 5/5
Great location near Penn station. Easy to get around. The room was so incredibly tiny though. Hard to get between the table and the bed. No place to really put all our clothes. Felt very cramped. I should have paid more attention to the description and square footage. Staff was very helpful and friendly. The location was really clean. The view of the Empire State building was incredible.
- 5/5
The location was perfect. Penn Station, restaurants, and theater all within walking distance. Cookies were excellent, as always. Would definitely recommend.
- 4/5

- 5/5
Great and clean room. Staff was great. We didn’t use the parking lot we didn’t have breakfast.
- 5/5
Thank you so much everyone!

Friendly and helpful staff. Nice quiet rooms for a good night’s sleep. Would stay again!

1. Location 2. Location 3. Location 4. The room was cleaned very good - big thanks for room maids! 5. Reception staff was very nice, even though they work in quite extreme conditions - this hotel is obviusly very popular with many check-ins and checkouts... Whole experience was quite unpleasant - the "lounge" area at the bar on the ground floor was actually very low level, with basic offer. The reception area and elevators had some strange odor all the time during our stay. The room was very small, with tiny wardrobe - we have stayed there wer 5 nights - and it is not possible to put clothes for 5 days / 2 persons in it... Sound isolation of the room was very bad, we could here every step someone take on our floor, every whisper...
- 3.5/5
Location is good. Bed is comfy and big. Room was not cleaned on one of the days, even though no “do not disturb” sign was up
- 3.5/5
The cookie at check-in was perfect. The rooftop bar had an amazing view! The breakfast was terrible. It was confusing how to get from the room elevators to the rooftop bar.
- 5/5
Nice place to stay in the middle everything. Great location
- 4/5
To begin, the check-in was quick and the staff was friendly. They gave us a warm cookie to enjoy which was delicious and unexpected. The room was very clean, and very quiet and the bed very comfortable. The bathroom was clean and in perfect condition. The accommodation was perfect for a few days in New York City, centrally located to great restaurants and entertainment. I opted to purchase the breakfast in the hotel and I am so glad I did. The coffee was delicious as was the food and the staff was very friendly. This is a great place! Why four stars instead of five? It’s not a Presidential Suite, which would earn five stars, it’s a very good hotel room and worthy of every one of four stars!
- 5/5
Staff was friendly
- 2/5
It was replaced immediately. The second night was horrible, the walls to the room are extremely thin this means that you can hear everything what the person in the next room is doing. No sound proof rooms and sleep was no where in sight due to the person snoring like a run away train and the coughing. It was a horrible time night. The check out guy was extremely helpful,he did asked if I was a reward member at that time,I was not,he wanted to reward me for the inconvenience. After thinking about it I decided to become a member. So am now a member. Overall the property is very inconvenient and within walking distance to the trains and lots of bars and varieties of pizza eateries along the a large varieties of restaurants.
- 3.5/5
Since we traveled to NYC by Amtrak train, the location near Penn Station was perfect. The staff was friendly and the rooms were very clean. The room was very small.
- 5/5
The location was very, very good. Close to subway and buses. Walking distance to Times Square. The room was clean when we arrived and it was cleaned nicely everyday. Helpful staff. The size of the room was enough for 2 people with a large enough cupboard. We had 2 big 2 small luggage and had no problems. Also, we left our luggage to the storage after checking out and that was a huge help on our last day in NYC. No problems. Sometimes there was a little bit of noise, but I think it was acceptable considering the central location.

Muy mala atención y poca calidad
- 5/5
Lobby and check inn area is to small it can get crowded
- 5/5
The hotel is at an excellent location right next to Times Square. The rooms were clean and nice. Everybody was friendly. I would highly recommend it at a very good rate.
- 5/5
This is a fantastic hotel, close enough to Timesquare for easy access, but without the higher prices. The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful, and the rooms were immaculate and well a portion, small as is typical of New York City, but extremely comfortable. I will definitely stay here again.
- 5/5
Great place situated in a great area A lot of flies
- 4/5
Although rooms were small it was clean and location was good. It was alright for a quick stay. Booked two rooms and was charged for water in both rooms even though we did not drink the water. I complained to front desk who kept insisting that room service checks the rooms and charges accordingly even though I told them repeatedly that we did not drink the water. They finally refunded me for one room but not the other.
- 5/5
The room and the hotel was really clean, people very friendly and helpful. Great place, close to broadway and everything.
- 5/5
Although the room was small, it was very clean and served its purpose. The staff was super friendly and helpful. The welcome cookies were delicious!
- 5/5
No parking.
- 4/5
The hotel is in a great area for subway access and resturants. The room is small but it's NYC.
- 3/5
Very cramped room, unable to easily move around, check in was not same for every guest, for example the other guests were properly invited and offered cookies vs no warm welcome for us
- 4.5/5
Superb
- 3.5/5
The staff were very helpful. we came back at 2.30pm and the room was not cleaned. We asked for clean towels. They arrived at5pm
- 5/5
Small room as you would expect but modern, clean and comfortable. Staff were really friendly. Gym was small and empty every time I used it. Location in mid-town was perfect especially if arriving by train because you can walk there from Penn Sta.
- 5/5
A very nice place ti stay for the weekend. Great location in midtown near port authority and times square
- 5/5
Brilliant location, close enough to the action to walk but far enough away to not be chaotic. Rooms are small but very clean and functional. The fridge was a big bonus as we used it to store drinks and snacks
- 3.5/5
Good
- 5/5
Great rooftop bar and super friendly staff. Convenient to all the sites and walkable from Penn station
- 5/5
Fantastic location with nice rooms. The lobby is very small and dated and is not representative of the rooms and room views!
- 4/5
It was a good weekend.

- 3/5
It was in a great location The “lobby” is super small
- 5/5
Exceptional
- 4/5
Beware of how tiny the room is. Also no dresser or large drawers to unpack. The closet rod goes towards you, instead of running sideways so it’s very impractical. There are lots of homeless people outside sitting on the benches/patio, and as a younger female I had to be careful. But there is always a security worker at the door which was helpful. The front desk staff are friendly and were able to accommodate an early check in. I wouldn’t stay here again but everything was as described
- 5/5
Staff was really nice and helpful.
- 5/5
Great location, very helpful staff
- 5/5
Brilliant stay, excellent location for our needs. Clean room, friendly and helpful staff. Roof terrace with panoramic views of the city is a great extra and worth a visit!
- 4.5/5
Location Crowded lobby area
- 3.5/5
The location is incredibly convenient, with subway stations nearby and plenty of attractions and restaurants just a few minutes away on foot. The view of the Empire State Building from our room on the 26th floor was absolutely amazing, the terrace has incredible panoramic views, and the bed was genuinely, exceptionally comfortable. While we had a small misunderstanding upon arrival, the staff fixed it immediately, they are absolutely lovely people. The rooms are also generally clean, earning a solid 8/10 for cleanliness. The hotel itself is a little outdated and in need of renovation. The noise levels are quite high, so keep in mind that earplugs are definitely needed. There are also a lot of homeless people around the hotel, though we did not feel unsafe. Additionally, for some reason, the towels had a smoky smell, perhaps because they are stored close to a restaurant.

Roof top nice My room was never cleaned prior there were throw up stains on the toilet and on the pillow cases. Couldn’t even sleep in the bed i didn’t even want to lift the comforter
- 5/5
The staff were very helpful. The location was very convenient. The room was clean and it was nice there were 3 elevators so we didn’t have to wait for a long time.
- 4/5
We got a double bed room. It was spacious and we enjoyed having our bed made everyday. We could hear the street noise but that’s expected as we were near Timesquare. Lots of places to eat nearby
- 4/5
Room was very clean, amazing view from my room and helpful staff!
- 5/5
Room was very small. No place to put luggage.
- 4/5
Convenient for exploring, great for first time visitors Times Square was too busy
- 5/5
Location was amazing. Right in the middle of the city Size of the hotel room was a bit tight for two
- 4/5
Very good
- 4/5
Outdoor View from the top floor bar/ lounge was amazing. If it’s raining though, the inside lounge space is very small with only 3-4 tables. I wish we could have checked-in earlier since we flew in on a red-eye flight, but hotel staff was able to store our luggage as we explored NYC till the 4pm check-in time. This was an excellent location to catch a train from Penn Station/ Moynihan Train Hall, subway entrances, fairly close to Times Square/ Broadway and Empire State Building. Room and bathroom were small but clean.
- 4/5
The staff were really friendly n helpful which made checking in n out a breeze
- 3.5/5
Location was good I guess. Check in was easy. Good service to be able to leave bags I think that its pretty average value for money generally. I get the anything near Times Square demands premium prices but I know that compared to holes located quite close by the size of the room is poor. To be clear, there was nothing wrong with the hotel or the staff or the service, but I think it’s expensive for what it is
- 3.5/5
Very good breakfast with a wide variety on offer. Staff were always polite, courteous and professional. Good location just a 10-15 minutes from Times Sq and 2 blocks from Madison Sq Gdns. Was given the wrong room initially but this got sorted when it was reported. Room was very small - not sure it's the 200 sq ft claimed on the websites. Lobby quite cramped.

I think having a filtered water station on site would be a great upgrade. We have had that amenity before when traveling in cities and it is really convenient. And it also cuts down on waste.

The room was clean. Location is excellent. It's cute that they give you a cookie at check in. The bed was also comfortable which is saying something given most other hotel I've stayed at.

Very friendly staff. Hotel location was great and the rooms although on the tight side they had everything we needed We were located at the 18th floor facing the front but even high up it was very noise at night. We stayed at the same hotel the previous year facing the rear at it was definitely much better.

The staff was outstanding. Everyone was helpful and welcoming. Serena at the front desk was a joy. The view from Vue180 was breathtaking and the staff was very friendly and fun. Our room was very clean and the cleaning staff were available whenever needed'

So clean, very friendly ppl, location is good for ease to getting around but just the riff riff outside loitering is kind of annoying. The bed was comfortable and very clean and mostly quiet for a NYC room, tiny as most NYC rooms are but perfect for us. Work out room was clean and sufficient. skip the expensive breakfast and go to Buffet next door for something healthy and inexpensive but so many great places to eat or grab a bagel nearby. good value over priced water, restaurant, riff raff loitering outside. not much to the hotel itself, very crowded in "lobby" which is just a waiting area in front of front desk

I had a fantastic experience! The hotel boasts an unbeatable location, putting everything within walking distance. The staff (David) were exceptionally friendly and attentive from check-in to check-out. Our room was quite compact, but it was comfortable and well designed. I would definitely stay here again!
- 4/5
Just a few little annoyances kept me from a 5 rating. The outlets on the nightstand did not work. Water going through the pipes from rooms above made our bathroom sound like there was a water leak in the middle of the night. The final bill, due to city tax, unpleasantly surprised us. Other than those, it was a pleasant stay.
- 5/5
Staff are friendly, helpful, and professional.

- 5/5
The staff is very friendly, the hotel is very clean, and it smells wonderful. It would be nice if there were microwaves in every room.
- 1.5/5
I was charged three times about my stay and my credit card was blocked while I am so far away homeland. Before and after I come to the hotel, why they are blocking full stay two times more???? I made the payment as soon as I arrived . There is no hotel over the world blocks full charge three times! Unbelievable. I was unable to pay my other debts and could not make my shopping for my children. I am so so angry and unpleasant

Excelente desayuno, cuarto limpio y personal amable. Muy buena ubicacion.
- 5/5
The rooftop restaurant was also nice to get a quick bite and enjoy a drink overseeing the city .
- 3/5
My air didn’t work in my room, during most of my stay. I informed the front desk, and maintenance was sent promptly . However it took a few days for the ac system to correct itself. The breakfast was over priced for the quality. It would be better to include it in the price and offer buffet breakfast. The hotel is in an extremely high traffic area. Many in my party had trouble locating the hotel because it is set back. It needs a bigger sign. The only high point was the staff. They were extremely friendly, helpful, and accommodating. I would definitely pass on this hotel during my next visit.
- 5/5
Exceptional
- 4/5
They are very hospitable, and it’s such a cute touch that they give you a warm cookie when you arrive and check in. The front desk staff is also very kind, the hotel is very clean, and overall it’s a great place. I definitely recommend it.
- 5/5
Honestly I thought I wasn’t going to have a good experience with this hotel because prior to my arrival everytime I would call I would get placed on hold and the staff wouldn’t come back to the phone…BUT….. when we arrived the staff was so nice and accommodating we were able to to early check in the room was clean and beds comfortable and the cookies were delicious! Would definitely stay her again. Once I arrived I see why I was on hold for so long because the front desk stays busy! But the hotel was awesome would definitely stay here again when we return
- 5/5
Great sights from the room. Very convenient to eateries, tussaud museum , museum of sex, stores, movies, bowling (Essen)perfect breafast spot buffet and cooked to order. Ney york pizza delicious cheesecake and open late.
- 2/5
Access by car was not easy. We had to approach from a side street and turn left into 8th Avenue into a bicycle lane to discharge our bags. Had to thread our way through parked bikes to get to the front entrance. Room was small with a view of a sewing factory across the street.
- 5/5
Muy bueno
- 3/5
Also, there was an overnight desk person, Terry Anna, who was always extremely rude.
- 4/5
Good overall. Great location
- 5/5
The room was also really clean and it was cleaned each day which was nice and unexpected. The staff were all really attentive and were happy to answer all our questions. They also booked us a private taxi back to the airport which I would recommend doing, especially if your planning on getting a yellow cab. The private hire was much better and didnt cost much more. The roof top bar was a nice touch, it was really chilled, and was nice after a long day sightseeing. Hotel location was perfect for us...on time square without being too close to the main part. We walked everywhere and we found the it was perfect for us and within reasonable walking distance, but if walking isnt your thing then there is a subway station a short walk away. Would stay again!

Literally the smallest hotel room and the WORST broken down mattress…ever. The desk barely fit a laptop. Would not consider it again for the money.
- 4/5
The rooms are small, I guess that's just NYC but overall great location very clean nice roof top bar staff very helpful
- 4/5
Good location. Lovely staff especially Jorge at front desk.
- 5/5
Room was quiet and blackout curtains worked well. The one and only inconvenience was the design of the shower stall - water flows over the lip easily and onto the main floor (would end up with a puddle by the end of the shower).
- 3.5/5
Great location Great rooftop bar! The rooms were tiny and in desperate need of renovation.
- 5/5
convenient location when the staff. Overall great day.
- 1/5
In addition, the ceiling in my bathroom was leaking into the room, and there was little effort made to properly fix the issue or offer me another room. Some of the rooms are also very dark and lack sufficient lighting.

AC didn’t work on the first night, but was resolved the next day after sending a text through their automated text system

- 5/5
Top tier all around. Great location…extremely helpful staff. We’ll be back!
- 5/5
Clean room and friendly staff
- 4/5
The staff were amazing. The buffet breakfast that may be included in the price is poor, and if you’re planning to hit the gym it’s not the right place for you. The location is good if you want to be in midtown, and everything is well maintained.
- 3/5
Check-in was so delayed. We were almost late for our dinner and Broadway show.

Staff is super friendly and helpful.

Breakfast was an additional $20 for each person, so we did not eat breakfast because the room was already $445 for the one night. We only liked the location and th rooftop restaurant had a nice view and being close to Penn Station and Times Square. As a Hilton Honors Member and my sister a Diamond member, we asked for water bottles and we didn't even get free water. As a matter of fact, they charged my elderly sister $3.00 plus tax for her bottle of water to take her medicines. I asked for a quiet room, but we could hardly sleep due to the construction noise outside our window ALL night! In addition, we had 3 guests with 2 double beds and nowhere to move around - we knew it would be small, but it was matchbox. In addition, we could not see the NBA Playoff game in our room because there was no NBC or Peacock App and the rooftop restaurant with the TV closed before the game was over. This was my most disappointing experience at any Doubletree by Hilton in any city.

The bed was comfortable, and the location was good. I had a bad experience at this hotel. I was charged twice for breakfast and incorrectly billed from my $300 deposit, requiring multiple corrections to fix. I was also charged for water (they input in my room for the first day) without being informed. The staff were unprofessional and not transparent on billing. I do not recommend.

Very nice and professional
- 5/5
We stayed at Hilton Doubletree for just one night while we were in the city and we were very impressed. The room was clean, the staff was friendly, and the location was convenient. We especially enjoyed the views from the rooftop bar. The next day, we had reservations for an event that would not let us bring bags. The hotel's ability to hold our bags for us after check out was clutch! I'd definitely recommend this hotel to anyone traveling to the city

Very friendly staff The rooms were tiny, we lived out of a shoebox for 3 days.
- 4/5
Great area to be, walking distance to Times Square and subway was close. We had a double room on the 29th floor with a decent view of the Empire State building. There is a 7/11 next door, which is convenient and lots of other options as well. Breakfast was not included and the buffet was $29 USD. We stayed in NJ the night before coming into Manhattan and it was free breakfast for the same buffet. For a family of 3, it would have be ideal if it cheaper or given a voucher for one day at least (stayed 3 nights). The room was clean, small and not much space for luggage but that is NYC! Overall good stay, great rooftop bar/area to see the sunset.
- 5/5
We had a redeye flight so we were at the hotel early in the morning. They kept our luggage until it was time to check in. Staff was very helpful and accommodating. They had security at the main entrance which made me feel safe. The property was very clean. We had a nice day at this property. It was very central, but yet not in the main super busy street.
- 5/5
We were lucky enough to have time to enjoy the roof-top bar on a sunny evening!
- 5/5
This hotel was at a very good location. The room was clean and all the staff we encountered were friendly and helpful. Definitely recommend 10/10

Close to the subway. Good views

Very clean

One of the front desk agents was really helpful when we came across a problem with the deposit, he was very understanding and so was the rest of the staff, really loved the room amenities as well, rooftop bar was gorgeous. Honestly would go again.
- 4/5
Lovely staff, room was small but we expected it to be as it is central NY ( plus it came with a fridge which was amazing)! Very smooth and easy check in and check out. Cleaners were amazing and had new bedding and towels every day. Rooftop bar was a nice touch. For a budget stay where you will not be in the hotel too much it’s perfect. I probably wouldn’t stay this central again as it was so busy however for a first time trip to NY it’s ideal as right next to Penn Station. My only critique is that the hotel did not have many third spaces to chill however for the price we paid this was to be expected.
- 5/5
The staff was friendly and professional. Check-in and check-out went smoothly. Tuwena was especially helpful to us. We also enjoyed the seemingly endless supply of cookies, including allergen-free ones! Although small (cozy), the room was clean and quiet. The bed was comfortable and we appreciated the ice machine on a nearby floor. Highly recommend this property! We already booked another stay.
- 3/5
No bureau in our room. We stayed three days. Very small room no table or chairs. Maid very late so we never ended up getting our room cleaned.
- 5/5
Clean room and friendly staff!
- 3/5
The sheets were dirty can do better
- 3/5
Clean room
- 5/5
Great location, friendly staff, nice option of roof top bar and view! Beds and pillows comfortable. Shower fantastic.
- 5/5
This is a great location. Although the room is small, it’s clean and staff was very friendly. They clean rooms every other day but will clean it each day if you ask. I’d stay again!
- 4/5
One thing that would have been extremely helpful before the trip is there is a parking garage right around the corner and if you go there the hotel will stamp your ticket so you get money off. The rooms were nice and clean and the staff were friendly.
- 4/5
Room booked was a 200sq ft room, However room allocated was a 10x10 room. Inspite of advising the staff that this is not the room . Inspite of advising the reception they insisted that this room is 200 sq ft. Reviews mentioned spacious rooms where as there was no space to keep bags with just 2 ft space between beds and Wall.
- 5/5
If I’m being nitpicky, my two concerns are 1.) I hate that it’s blocks away from any of the theaters. For some people that’s an asset. For me it’s a drawback. 2.) They also don’t have good signage outside. It was a little bit difficult for me to find at night even with the maps app. Other than those two things, no notes! Would certainly stay there again! The rooftop bar was a pleasant surprise. The view is beautiful. 😍
- 5/5
The location was great, few min to everywhere we wanted to go. And more distance locations were even very easy to get to because of being very close to both bus terminal and bus station.
- 3/5
Did not have breakfast
- 5/5
Good breakfast
- 5/5
Great location. Friendly staff. Small room but efficient for a short stay.
- 4/5
Close to everything in midtown and lower Manhattan. It's near Times Square, so it's loud AF.
- 5/5
Great stay.
- 5/5
The staff at the front desk were amazing! Crystal and Will went above and beyond with helping. Rooms were clean.. Hotel location was great .
- 5/5
We also loved the location- close to both Penn Station and Port Authority.
- 5/5
Well priced room for a prime location. Friendly staff, clean hotel and decent sized room. Easy access to transport and very walkable. despite the location it was also very quiet in the room
- 5/5
Nice hotel
- 4.5/5
Conveniently located Elevators are small making the wait time a little longer
- 5/5
The hotel was really nice. The rooms were very clean and the staff was very friendly.
- 4/5
Everything was decent and clean. Location was great except for the parking. It is off-site and about a 4-5 minute walk a couple of blocks away and around the corner. That was a surprise to me! Our shower leaked and created a huge puddle in the bathroom. We did not dine at either bar or restaurant since prices were so high. We literally slept and showered there, but it offered great walking access to Times Square and Broadway theaters. Of course, subway to anywhere else.
- 5/5
All good
- 4/5
The staff were friendly and helpful. The front of the hotel was washed daily and very clean. The room was very small but the king sized bed was comfortable.
- 5/5
Clean, helpful staff, kind of in a busy spot in nyc but right next to penn station which was nice. Right next to Madison square garden and time square.

Room was not clean I found napkins in the bathroom and I was supposed to get a king bedroom but at the concierge when I wanted to check in they told me they they are out of king bedroom and they gave me a double queen bedroom
- 5/5
So close to MSG and Broadway. Room was tiny and expensive but can't beat the location
- 5/5
Loved it will definitely be back
- 5/5
had a great stay at this hotel. The room and common areas were very clean, which made it feel comfortable and well cared for. The location was perfect—close to everything I needed, making it easy to get around without any hassle. What stood out the most was the staff; everyone was friendly, welcoming, and always willing to help. I would definitely stay here again and recommend it to others.
- 3/5
Rooms and bathroom are too small. Lobby area is very small.

Pumping bacon fumes in the HVAC is clever but insulting, especially to those who keep kosher.
- 5/5
.
- 4/5
The AC did not get as cold as we wanted and the room felt a bit muggy at times but I stay here quite frequently and its the only time I've experienced this issue. Luckily it was cooler at night so we just propped open the window which helped it feel less muggy and cooler.
- 4/5
Rooms are small but that is expected for NYC.
- 5/5
Excellent location, great staff, love the rooftop bar! 10/10 will stay again next time I’m in NY
- 4/5
Friendly, professional, helpful, and very approachable staff--from the front desk attendants to the maintenance crew!
- 4/5
The friendly staff! The staff was easy going and genuine in making a connection to help with being in the BIG City. The WiFi connection process. It wasn't anything too bad. Remind guests to connect while in the lobby.
- 5/5
Excellent staff!

- 5/5
Food good
- 5/5
I really enjoyed this property. The hotel was in a convenient location and was very well taken care of. Even better than all of that though was the employees. Every single person we dealt with was friendly, patient and helpful. They were that way with every guest. It is a very busy hotel with a very small lobby but they never got flustered or frustrated, just kind and friendly employees. Well done folks!
- 5/5
I loved the location I loved the view from my room to Empire State building I loved the staff very friendly and kind and helpful, everything was great and clean Room was a bit small but that was OK for me
- 2.5/5
Quite chaotic check-in, had to dispute regarding payment as I was charged double.
- 0.5/5
They did not adjust the wrong invoice details and staff was rude.
- 4/5
Good location and clean. There was a mixup when check in but another receptionist fixed it. He gave us complimentary breakfast for our 2 nights stay so all good. We would stay here again if visiting NYC
- 2/5
This isnt a great hotel to stay at. The rooms are deceivingly small. They post spacious rooms for the regular king rooms making you believe they are bigger than they really are, the room is very small. Confined to the perimeter of the bed area. They give 2 free water bottles the rest are $3 each afterwards unless you join some honors program which requires membership. Snacks in the lobby are literally $5 each which is ridiculous for small bag of potato chips. Breakfast is mediocre and expensive, you must pay for it. There are no microwaves, when we wanted to heat up some water to make a soup we were denied access to heat food up with when they have a full functioning kitchen. Thankfully one of the staff heated up our water with a coffee machine. The place isn't entirely clean but the rooms are maintained well enough. Over all for the price I do not recommend this hotel it's getting a 5/10. The area is very noisy, near times square. Ambulance and police sirens at all times, construction, and over all busyness of the streets right at your window since you'll be near times square. Do not pay for their shuttle service it's a rip off they charge you $90 to take you the airport or pick you up.
- 5/5
Had issues with the air in our room and after 2 attempts to fix they moved us. Rooftop bar is very nice and hotel is in a great location.
- 5/5
Nice location
- 5/5
Great location. Clean Room, Nice Staff.
- 5/5
The room was small, breakfast was pricey, but the location is a perfect spot near the times square
- 5/5
Great staff!
- 5/5
Clean rooms, friendly staff, nice location.
- 2/5
Great location and staff was friendly at check in. The room was small but most NYC rooms are so that’s to be expected. Upon check out we checked 2 bags and left them with the hotel while we explored the city until time for our train. When we returned to get our bags, we gave the front staff our claim check. It took ~ 30 minutes and 4 people to locate them. We almost missed our train. It was very disorganized. At one point someone who I assume to be the shift manager joined the search but didn’t even offer an apology. We’ve stayed here before and had a good experience but this time it felt disorganized and chaotic.
- 5/5
Everything was close by
- 5/5
Clean rooms, good location, kind and helpful staff
- 4/5
The building itself is clean. The outside and surrounding area seemed a little unsafe I wouldn’t have gone out on my own. The room was very small even for 2 people. But the staff was nice and the hotel was clean. Worth it if on a budget and the outside doesn’t work.

My 2nd time staying there and it was nice and clean

A simple follow-up to send us proof that the deposit was released has not been possible, something that only takes less than 5 minutes.
- 5/5
Clean and comfortable room and very nice staff.
- 5/5
The staff was great. Held luggage in check before we explored the city. Handled car service to the airport. Gave us extra cookies during the blizzard. This will be my go to Manhattan hotel in the future

Staff friendly. Good city centre hotel. No frills
- 5/5
Great location, helpful staff
- 1/5
Too expensive, not parking garage and no instructions at the app or website about $66 parking to pay extra by day! Small rooms… the only good thing is a staff the workers are amazing 🙌.
- 5/5
Excellent experience, highly recommend
- 5/5
Our only gripe was the rooftop bar closing at 11. Sometimes 10:30. If patrons are a concern make it hotel guest only, it was unfortunate because our first go around in 2023 we enjoyed the views and the bar.
- 5/5
Vue 525 great food nice service

- 5/5
Hotel was clean and in a good location. Everyone is also very friendly and helpful.

Clean room, but very small. Friendly staff
- 5/5
We arrived late & tired but desk staff, especially Crystal, made us feel welcome with a friendly, courteous, uplifting attitude. We appreciated it so much after a long day of travel. Room was small but very comfortable & clean like the entire hotel. Proximity to Penn Station is why wee chose it.
- 5/5
Our room was spotless, the staff was helpful and friendly at every interaction. Would absolutely stay here time and time again. Convenient location as well

- 5/5
Fantastic stay as always - great staff that work so hard and are always polite and can’t do enough for you
- 4/5
The staff at the hotel was very nice and very accommodating. The location was convenient for our train to/from Penn Station. Rooms are only cleaned every other day - just FYI. We were a little surprised by that. Beds aren't the best, but were fine. Overall a good deal for the price.
- 5/5
Room was clean, staff was kind, hotel was in a good location!!
- 5/5
Oh my goodness I don't know where to start. So I actually booked a few nights at doubletree by hilton hotel in Times Square and let me tell you. I had a superb experience, The rooms were always cleaned daily. The hotel staff at front desk always greeted their guests everyday, there wasn't a dull moment passing through front desk without guests service saying hello. They are always happy, smiling, warm and inviting. My needs were always met pertaining to cleanliness or well being. Staff would text every now and then to see how their guest are doing. The rooms are comfy, The rooftop staff especially Jamila is a hardworker, her drinks are off the hook, she's sweet, humble and very accommodating when dealing with her customers. She is very cool, chilled and an amazing bartender/server customers love her. She's amazing. Francine the manager is awesome as well when should would see my family and I during breakfast or even throughout the day she would warmly greet us everyday to say hello and the way she engage with her staff she has like a great presence about her. Her staff loves and admire her and let me tell you they work hard effortlessly to meet every person's needs. The entire staff from room service, The bar and lounge ( both morning and evening staff) They're hospitality were beyond my expectation.Crystal, YF, Codi, Asante,Tuwina,David,Francine,Rachid,Franciso,Marlon, jose, jamila, jorge,Toni,Terianna, panashe and Wil Thank you all for your awesome hospitality.

Room was good staff was good
- 5/5
Clean room. Front fed
- 4/5
Clean room, with a bit of broken furniture. Well staffed. The location is close to lots of things but not particularly near to anyplace you’d want to go.
- 5/5
The room was clean, the bed was comfortable, the shower was hot, and the location was excellent.
- 3/5
Room was in okay condition. Reserved a king bed and when I got to the front desk they gave me two queens. Also arrived approximately 10pm and doorman would not let me in at first. I walked around thinking there was a second entrance and there was not. Overall would not stay here again
- 5/5
Excellent staff as always and very good rooms
- 5/5
Clean, friendly staff
- 5/5
Great location. Comfy room (no huge) but expected given Manhattan.
- 5/5
- 4/5
Only issue is whole hotel did not have any microwave for use! Good location, clean room!
- 5/5
Welcoming staff at check-in made me feel safe, room was spotless, warm cookies are always a nice touch:)
- 5/5
Location was great
- 5/5
Room clean great staff loved the hot cookies
- 3/5
The room is extremely small. It would be nice to have more information about the size of the room.
- 5/5
Great location , great service
- 5/5
room was perfect. staff were ALL VERY GOOD. New gal (i THINK i heard her on the phone say her name was Kouli or something similar sounding) so so sweet! gave me the right directions every day without batting an eye as if 'you SHOULD REMEMBER, i just told you'... such a sweetheart.
- 5/5
Great location. Although there was no on-site parking, the garage they recommended is just around the corner. The property was very clean, the rooftop was beautiful, and the staff was friendly and welcoming.
- 5/5
Customer service was over and above anything I’ve ever had at any other property. I received a text every day asking how my stay was going. When I responded after midnight with a question, they responded in 20 minutes. They anticipated my every need. They opened every door. They did everything they could to make my stay as great as possible. The woman who was taking care of my room intentionally asked if everything was OK. Sitting eating a sandwich in a small area off the lobby, one of the workers gave me a bottle of water. I am so so happy I chose this property and will return.
- 5/5

Clean room staff was quick and friendly.
- 5/5
Staff were so pleasant! Check in was quick. Room and hotel was very clean and always stocked with fresh towels. Great central location and felt very safe! Would return!
- 3/5
The room was in good condition, cleaning service was great. The AC/heater was not that good. Temperature outside was bellow 0 and the AC was in 65 we were freezing that night. Engeneering had filters changed but room never felt comfortable. Received a charge for under $4 still do not know why waiting for their reply. Could not sleep well due to cold. But all the rest was ok.
- 5/5
Yes the hotel was awesome.
- 5/5
yes
- 4/5
Not great - the rooms are a weird shape. They're small, which was fine for me, but there was very little floor space. There's also no cafe. If you're a light-sensitive person, the rooms facing away from the street are pretty dim, and vice versa. Definitely ask when you check in. Overall it's a great hotel. Modern, very calm given its location, and super close to everything most visitors are interested in.
- 5/5
The location. Friendly staff, cleanliness was top notch 😊
- 5/5
Clean and good service and stuff
- 5/5
Small space but Great Service and location
- 5/5
The room was clean and pleasant. The bathroom was updated and the bath products were a good brand. We enjoyed going to the rooftop bar, and the restaurant was convenient for breakfast with a good menu. The location was outstanding for visiting various museums as well as going to the theater. Most important, the staff was so friendly and helpful. From booking an airport shuttle for our return home to explaining what subway to take they were always ready to help. We would stay there again.
- 4/5
Great stay, Staff Super friendly and HELPFUL!
- 4/5
Good location, small room,
- 5/5
Best staff at the front desk I could ever ask for!!
- 5/5
The room was very clean and comfortable. Great service at the front desk. I was very pleased with the roof top cafe! Very nice staff!
- 5/5
Yes
- 4/5
Staff was great, room was clean. However, since there are no closets in the room for hanging things longer than a shirt, a few hooks on the walls would help.
- 5/5
Staff was very friendly and helpful. Room was very clean. Location is great! We will stay again.
- 5/5
Room very clean, great staff, and very accommodating to our needs. The rooms are small but fine for us. Great cookies!! Would recommend to anyone looking for a convenient hotel close to Madison Square Garden etc.
- 4/5
The stay was okay. Had a small hiccup, but Rachid did a great job by ensuring the rest of our stay was good. He went above and beyond, and that makes a difference. We will definitely consider staying there again.
- 5/5
Clean, friendly staff, great location
- 3/5
The staff were friendly, but I didn’t enjoy this hotel. The lobby is tiny and gets crowded, and the elevators take a long time. Our room was stocked with tons of alcohol and a few snacks, which took up so much space in a tiny room. I don’t think the hotel should assume that you are ok with having alcohol (for purchase) in your room, isn’t that what room service is for? There was no rack to hang bath towels in the bathroom, and the door was a slider that offered zero privacy. Lastly, I was charged $5 per bag to store my suitcases after checkout. I’d never choose this location again, especially when there are many other options nearby that are more comfortable and convenient.
- 5/5
The room was small but very clean and a great view of the Empire State Building! Staff was courteous and helpful! Close to lots of restaurants and a short walk to Time Square!
- 5/5
All good!
- 4/5
The customer care at the lobby were lovely. The room was well cleaned and well lit and warm during winter. Ask the property to make actual water heater available rather than just a coffee maker (which also doesn't have the well designed coffee pod cups) to make hot beverages or just have warm water.
- 5/5
Staff was amazing
- 1/5
To begin with, the room, which was 2 double beds, was very, very, very small. No microwave available, and EVERYTHING had a fee. I had to pay for coffee if in the room if I wanted any. I had to pay to 'use the microwave' in the dining area!! Who does that? Breakfast was not free for anything. Even water had a charge of $3.00 per bottle. I was miserable honestly, and the staff did not even flinch when I asked about the coffee. They appeared as if it was normal to CHARGE FOR COFFEE! I checked out a day early and they did not even ask if my stay was good. It was basically, just give the room card back, and then goodbye. Never, ever would I advise anyone to stay there while in New York. Doubletree no longer will be on my list of referrals. If I had the contact information for the head honcho of Doubletree, or the New York Times, I would post comments. It was that bad.
- 5/5
Nice location. Nice staff checking in
- 5/5
Room was VERY clean. When we walked in - you could smell the cleaning products. Bed was sooo comfortable and the shower was great!
- 4/5
Staff were very nice place is clean.
- 5/5
Room is small not much space to put 4 luggages even for carry on bags. But room was clean and everything is working. accessible to everything. Staff are helping and friendly.
- 5/5
rooms were clean, comfortable small but its NY thats what you get.
- 5/5
Our stay was amazing
- 3/5
The room is smaller than 200sqm as advertised. I wanted to upgrade to a bigger room. Instead of offering to let me know if a room is available, I was asked instead to ask them everyday in frontdesk incase there will be cancellation. Not so good of a customer service. Other than that, housekeeping department has been very good cleaning our room everyday.
- 5/5
How close the hotel was to our desired locations we wanted to see
- 4/5
Our stay at the double tree was fine. Great location, in the middle of Times square within walking distance of stores and attractions. The only downside was that the heat in our room wasn't working and we had to be moved to another room the next morning after we was giving a space heater and extra blankets. We was moved to another room the next afternoon, however we ended up having the same issue with the heat but maintenance was able to get it fixed this time. The rooms are very small so don't expect for a lot of space if you have a lot of Bags. Outside of this experince the Hotel staff was very nice and accomadating.
- 4/5
Everything was great except the elevators. They were slow to come and very strange to get from one side to the rooftop but other than that it was a great stay. Very central location to everything. Clean.
- 3/5
Room was small. Didn’t get a great view of Empire State Building. Walls to thin.
- 5/5
Very nice staff, very accommodating and helpful. Room was beautiful and clean.
- 5/5
the staff was LOVELY!!! i forgot to ask their names but both of them was so sweet :)
- 2/5
Dark room, little natural light, room no bigger than size of the bed, heating system was faulty_broken, no sliippers, vanity kit, sewing kit available, pastries at breakfast were stale. A disgrace to the Doubletree brand.
- 4/5
Staff were nice, comfortable beds. Nice location.
- 1/5
Cleaner put our clothes on the lamp. Walls made of light material and if your tv is on the other room can hear it which made the next room banged on the wall very hard it made the mirror hanged on the wall almost fell. Called security for it because i felt violence and it is unsafe for us to be sleeping next to the room with that kind of personality. I didnt sleep the whole night due to fear of attack. Us is known for guns like shooting in school like the most recent one in brown university. The breakfast buffet is so bad. No complimentary water bottle so must buy. Asian hotels are really the best. No hotel slippers so make sure you pack one. Toothpaste is not supplied in the room unlike hotels in asia where they refill the next day. Overall stay felt so unsafe. The staff in the breakfast takes too long to accommodate even if there is an available table. Hospitality here is very poor. The concern is very poor as well.

Front desk was very helpful and courteous, first time in new york this double tree is un a perfect spot to visit time square.
- 3/5
King Room was deceptively small, basically all bed. No complementary water in the room is miserly along with $5 per bag storage fee.
- 3/5
The staff was nice, the hotel was clean however the room was tiny. Maybe that was my own fault for not looking into it more but it literally fit two double beds, we had to put our luggage by the door and had to squeeze in and out everytime we left/came back. It was our first time in New York City so I don't know if that's normal, our hotel in Virginia and north Carolina was more spacious and comfortable, especially for the price but again, I guess that's new York City.
- 3/5
Nice staff. Room typically small as expected in New york. Comfortable bed. Manager offerred to fix a non working outlet. My main complaint was being charged $5 per bag to store my luggage a couple hours after i checked out.
- 4/5
The room was clean and the location was great!
- 5/5
Nice staff, great location

The staff is soo nice and very friendly. We didn’t wake up early enough for breakfast but it’s such a great spot for a show at MSG, it’s a 3 min walk. Lots of restaurants in the hotel and nearby. Parking wasn’t too far away and the hotel offered a discounted price. The room was clean and comfortable.

Super 👏
- 2/5
The electrical did not work on the nightstand, and the front desk staff had a terrible attitude the entire time.
- 3/5
The hotel was ok some parts were run down and broken the hookless outside were a problem the homeless were very aggressive
- 4/5
Very convenient place to stay when you want to travel. Staff are warm and easy to talk to and very accommodating
- 5/5
Clean and close to everything
- 5/5
Check in was easy. Plenty of staff working. No waiting for elevators. Rooms clean. Nice queen beds.
- 4/5
Did not do breakfast at property. The overall stay was good, staff very pleasant and friendly. However, I am disappointed because I was charged for the water place in room that says thank you from us. When I quarried the charge was told its for diamond and silver members. It should clearly state that then. What if i could not afford to pay for them.

Great staff
- 5/5
Very clean room, great hotel, great experience
- 4/5
It was a very good experience a one night stay. We were in the city to see a show. Close to Times Square and about a 10 block walk to the theater. Also close to Madison Square Garden so I woukd consider it again if we were to attend an event there. Front desk staff were pleasant, efficient and cheerful and even gave us an extra cookie!
- 5/5
Great hotel for a short NYC visit.
- 5/5

Great front desk staff, very clean, convenient
- 4/5
Room was tiny, but clean. Bathroom was nice and breakfast buffet was very good. They check your luggage which was a nice perk.
- 5/5
Rooma were super clean and smartly designed to have small square footage but very functional.
- 5/5
Great place, and amazing staff!
- 4/5
Clean do, great staff, amazing location
- 4/5
The front desk staff is exceptional! Love how walkable it is to Herald Square, Bryant Park and Rockefeller Center. (Super close to Times Square, but we typically avoid that area.) So many fantastic restaurants nearby, especially down 5th Av. Penn Station across the street and you can see Madison Sq. Garden from the front sidewalk.
- 5/5
Location was near shopping and our service was great
- 5/5
Staff was amazing
- 5/5
Clean you, great staff!
- 4/5
What I liked the most is that I’ve got what I paid for. I reserved an Empire State Building view room and asked for the high floor and I got it so it was a very good start! Check in was easy. Stuff was very kind and helpful. Warm cookies were yummy. Rooftop bar was small but excellent- views were amazing. Heaters and igloos were plus. Breakfast was very good. We tried open buffet and found many healthy and yummy food. Room was very small but clean and nice. Location is perfect. Penn station and subway stations were only few blocks away so it was very convenient for us.
- 2/5
Extremely small room
- 2/5
Food could have better selection for the cost paid Issues with air con and had to changes rooms twice
- 3/5
Baggage claim was terrible my suitcase was lost during check in and check out and I receive my luggage back broken!
- 5/5
Staff was nice , check in was a breeze and the room was very clean!
- 4/5
- 4/5
Convenient location and proximity to transportation, shopping and dining. Clean room welcoming staff.
- 5/5
Did not eat breakfast
- 4/5
Did not have breakfast
- 4/5
Super tiny room. The bed barely fit in the room. The lobby was tiny and nothing to look at. The location from MSG and the train station was great.
- 5/5
Family trip for my kid's birthday. Perfectly located close to everything. Room was small, but clean and tidy thanks to house keeping. The staff is a very small group, but super friendly, efficient, and recommended a wonderful car service we ended up booking and using all weekend. Definitely recommend and plan to return.
- 4/5
Room was clean, great location and friendly staff. Would definitely stay there again.
- 4/5
Very clean rooms, fast elevators. The staff was wonderful and present. My daughter had her 18th birthday on this trip and they surprised her with balloons and sweet treats in our room. It was a wonderful surprise.
- 2/5
Room was very small. One tiny closet for hanging clothes and one hook in the bathroom. Room was cold, very hard to adjust temperature. Coffee maker did not work correctly and coffee was horrible. Some USB outlets would not work properly.
- 5/5
We arrived before 4pm check in but were able to access room early which was fantastic. Amazing room with view of Empire State Building. Staff helpful and friendly
- 4/5
The staff here were all super friendly and helpful. We very much enjoyed our stay.

- 5/5
Staff was super friendly, place was very clean, and location was perfect.
- 5/5
Reception was busy, but well staffed
- 5/5
Excellent front desk staff. Room is small but ergonomic laid out.
- 5/5
Great location and great hotel
- 2/5
$5 to hold bag for a few hours is ridiculous and penny pinching for a overpriced small room.
- 5/5
The staff was courteous and the room was clean. The location was great. We had two rooms. The room with two beds was a decent size but the king room was tiny. You barely had room to walk around the bed.
- 5/5
Great stay close to everything!
- 5/5
Nice, welcoming staff. Great location for ease of travel around Manhattan!
- 3/5
Windows are not sound-proof. Loud sounds from the street could be heard making it hard to sleep.
- 5/5
Tiny rooms but that’s what you get in NY. Friendly staff. Clean! Space was used efficiently. Beds were comfy.
- 5/5
We flew in to Laguardia Airport. Receive great guidance from the Red Jacketed Visitor’s Ambassadors to take the Q70 bus to Roosevelt/Jackson Height Metro Station, then the E Train toward World Trade Center to Penn Central Station. We will definitely stay at this Hilton in the future.
- 5/5
Staff was absolutely fabulous!! Loved stay here! Cannot wait to come back! Rooms were clean, well appointed. Breakfast was really wonderful. Location is superb.
- 1/5
The room was a postage stamp. With a whited out window. So dark Lightbulb in lamp didn’t work. No water. You had to walk single file to maneuver around the room or you bump into each other…For $800+ for the night. Never again..
- 5/5
Room was spotless and the staff great. Couldn't have been better. The reservationist at checkout on a very snowy day in NYC went out of his way to get us a quick cab to LGA and even left the desk to take our three bags to the car in the slushy weather. It was a great stay.
- 5/5

Lovely clean room! Small but sufficient. The lobby was very small and uncomfortably crowded at times. Overall a good experience.
- 5/5
Can’t ask for anything more.
- 5/5
The staff was very helpful and professional.
- 3/5
I paid for a room with 2 queen beds and we were given the double beds. Extremely small room, one person could barely walk in between beds and dresser. The heating was not working at all and we froze under the blankets both nights we were there. After going back downstairs to let them know that we were send in a smaller room , not for what i paid they said that they will refund $50 dollars/ night to a total $100 per the 2 days that i booked because they were out of the rooms with queen beds since the were overbooked. I don't think i saw the refund. Also, we were given free breakfast vouchers at the downstairs restaurant as compensation. None of us liked it. It was a long wait to be seated and a very ordinary continental breakfast. This is the first Doubletree hotel that was very dissapointing!!! I booked way ahead of time. There was no reason not to honor the room i paid for. We are tall people and being squeezed in small beds, extemely small and very cold room was not anything that we could enjoy. It ruined a big part of our stay in New York. The only positive things were that the desk staff were friendly and tried to be helpful, even though i did not see the results, and housekeeping staff were great. The room was cleaned well. At this point,i would not recommend this hotel due to my experience there. I always thought one can't go wrong with booking a room at a DoubleTree hotel. New York proved me wrong!
- 5/5
room was clean
- 5/5
Great location, amazing staff, love the rooftop view!!
- 5/5
Great stay
- 3/5
Everything was fine, comfortable room, excellent location. One negative note: too cold in the room for my taste. The air conditioning did not work on heat, it only made noise, unfortunately. The window was not properly insulated for the cold season.
- 4/5
The only downfalls were the size of the rooms (tiny) and the lack of storage.
- 5/5
This Hotel was Amazing Thank You
- 5/5
Clean room. Friendly staff! Great service and experience
- 5/5

- 5/5

- 4/5
clean room- nice staff
- 5/5
Very clean room and thick walls cancelled out other room and street noise well. The rooftop bar is a great touch to begin or end a night in the city. Staff was all very helpful.
- 5/5
Didn't have breakfast
- 5/5
It was great! Thank you for everything
- 3/5
Room was small but Ok. AC was kind of noisy
- 3/5
We chose this hotel primarily for location, and that was the only really positive aspect of our stay. It is a convenient location. The room and bathroom were clean and the bed comfortable, but the room (at $500/night) was the smallest hotel room we've ever seen (even during a month in Japan), and the window opened into a shaft about ten feet from windows on the other side. The word that comes first to mind is depressing. The shower had almost no pressure, and the knob had to be turned (literally) about 450 degrees before we felt warm water. Adding insult to injury, I found a charge of $6.53 on my credit card after checking out. I called and was told it was for the two small bottles of water left out on the countertop in the room. Seriously, aren't those ALWAYS complimentary?? And after paying $1,000 for staying in the equivalent of a sleeper car on a train?
- 5/5
Clean, busy lobby, tight spaces
- 4/5
Clean room, rooftop lounge, staff
- 3/5
Room was very compact for 3 people, however only in the room to shower & sleep. The room was cleaned daily with fresh towels, iron & hair dryer provided. Window was draughty and could do with secondary glazing
- 5/5
Nice property that has easy access to most everything in Manhattan. Room was clean and had plenty of amenities.
- 5/5
.
- 5/5
The hotel is in the perfect location. Close to the subway, Times Square, and Empire State Building. Easy walk from Penn Station. The room was very small but well appointed, clean, and comfortable. The view from the rooftop bar was spectacular.
- 5/5
I was able to get an early check-in and the staff was very helpful with that. I really liked the room and the amenities. The rooftop bar was real nice too.
- 5/5
Hospitality at its best! Very friendly and helpful staff. Clean room and great location.
- 4/5
The staff was very nice at the check in counter.
- 5/5
Rooftop bar is a site to be seen. It has the best views and the best bartender!!!! The hotel is in a great location
- 3/5
Room was very clean but small with not enough storage. Fan from aircon ran all night even when switched off. The local tax charged by hotel was far more than estimated by Expedia(
- 5/5
Great Hotel second time in 2025 just as good.
- 5/5
Excellent service
- 4/5
Rooms clean, staff lovely. Was charged £2.50 per room after checking out and still no idea why
- 5/5
The staff were all very kind and helpful. The room was clean, but small. I mean, really what do you expect for a hotel in just about the heart of the city. Close to tons of well known places which were all very walkable. If you prefer a taxi, they have a place in the lobby to order one. Side note to this, the lobby is small and can get a bit crowded during peak times of the day which also equates to some wait time for the elevators. Truly, those are only minuscule inconveniences for the price and hospitality. We enjoyed our stay and will be back for our next visit.
- 5/5
Very clean and great staff
- 3/5
Tiny room. Barely enough space to walk around our bed. Good location a few blocks from Penn station subway stop, Madison Square Garden and Times Square.
- 5/5
Clean room, great service
- 5/5
Room was clean, bed was comfy. Perfect location!
- 4/5
Nice room and staff but the street noise was horrible.
- 5/5

- 5/5

- 5/5
Great location! Clean. Excellent service!
- 5/5
Absolutely one of the best places to stay in the City for the price, quality, service, location, cleanliness, and overall great experience. Staff went above and beyond to be helpful as well!!! Such a great place, highly recommend !!
- 5/5
Great room
- 5/5
Nice staff and room, everything worked, it had a fridge. Price was right but I have to be in Manhattan on December 9th and asked about a room…$900!!!
- 3/5
Very basic for being a Hilton family hotel, and for the rate. My siter's family stayed in a nearby hotel that was MUCH nicer for the same rate. The room was super small and crammed, the bathroom was super basic and water drip down from the ceiling on top of the toilet. The lobby area was minimal. Not a good NYC hotel experience
- 3/5
Hilton breakfast is above average elsewhere, but here it was really disappointing.
- 5/5
- 5/5
The cookies were delicious, staff always super friendly and helpful, loved the rooftop bar.
- 5/5
Great location. Sweet view of Empire State. Clean and quiet. I'll be back.
- 4/5
The room was small but expected for nyc . It was clean and bed was comfortable. All staff were very nice and polite. My only complaint is that my husband and I had our “bags” checked upon checking out ( only away for 1 night) and it cost $5.00 each. I know NY, so wasn’t surprised but what was very annoying is that it took over 20 minutes to retrieve the bags making us run to catch the train. During this time, the stafff was attentive and kind but we didn’t like waiting.
