    The hotel room itself was spacious and clean. The bathroom was also spacious. The staff members were not very helpful. They were more preoccupied with having their private conversations and trying to decide whether they were going to go to Walmart together after work. There weren’t any very welcoming and didn’t really explained the amenities of the hotel. I won’t be staying here in the future.

    Great location in relation to JFK. Don't get room 305. You hear highway noise all night. When requesting a room there you should ask for a room on the opposite side of the highway. It is a great hotel at a great price, clean, good amenities, good bar, nice crowd. Again, with the caveat I mentioned above the only reason you would have a highway side room is If you find truck and car noises soothing, then it is the room for you. I found it very deceptive not to tell customers in advance. I'm sure they have a lot of complaints about the highway side rooms.

    The worst experiences i ever had in Double tree .There is no light and Air fan in Washroom plus the water has rust and we try to file a complaint no body cares .My niece she got rashes due to water .I will write another email to hotel as well

    This is maybe the busiest hotel I've been to before (it seemed non-stop 24 hours a day because it serves so much JFK traffic, etc). And even though there were often 10+ people in the lobby (checking in, delivering packages for guests, etc), the staff were all so friendly and helpful (we were dealing with issues from flight delays and lost baggage, and they went above and beyond to take care of us).

    The A/C was making a loud noise when running that kept us up all night. There was a construction site just outside our window that had a night shift banging all night, the neighborhood was scary and there was no place to get a decent meal, the staff should not have been putting people in rooms on that side of the building and the hotel was not full as it was a Monday night after the weekend.

    It is a bit dated and rundown in certain areas. Everything was very clean, the beds were comfortable, and the staff were competent and kind. It is in a loud surrounding area, but that should be expected off the highway and near an airport. Really appreciated the on-time airport shuttle so early in the morning!

    Very helpful in being able to call and get a human who could answer questions, ue. Where to catch the shuttle to the hotel. Very friendly. Airline crews stay there so you know it’s alright. Very clean and comfortable. I stayed one night on my way back from overseas because I could not get a flight out the same evening. For that reason it’s perfect.

    Convenient free shuttle. Facilities in the room good. Staff helpful. Comfy bed After a long flight from the UK all I wanted was to go to sleep. However I didn't sleep well in fact hardly at all as there was constant loud noises just outside my window. In my view I should get a partial refund.     The staff was great, it’s very convenient to the airport & our room was comfortable, but the place didn’t feel very clean. The lobby area, lobby bathrooms, public hall ways were not well kept. Our bedding was very comfortable & clean, but other areas of the room had stains & just seemed not up to par for a Hilton property. Of course the prices at the convenient market are offensively high.

    Great location for our layover for our flight to UK. We had a nice large room which has been recently renovated. Bus transportation to the terminal very good. We arrived at lunchtime near the restaurant and the bar didn’t open until 530 so no food or drink available until the evening ! We had my two-year-old grandson with us and we had to buy a ham sandwich out of a cooler by the reception and a bottle of water $27! Only to find a huge big black hair in the sandwich. The manager did refund the sandwich and offered it to give us more sandwiches out of a cooler which were equally dried up and disgusting.

    Close to the JFK airport and they have a free shuttle to the airport. The property itself was good but very limited food and beverage options and noisy because it’s right by the freeway. Really the only reason to stay here is if you want to be close to the JFK airport. Otherwise there is no point. The staff did their job but they aren’t the friendliest people around.

    When I got to the hotel, however, Josiah was extremely helpful, kind, and accommodating. I honestly felt bad for my attitude and the way I spoke to him on the phone earlier because, despite the situation, he remained professional and understanding throughout. He is truly the only reason I would consider staying at this hotel again. The rooms were okay nothing special but clean . Breakfast was surprisingly very good but they guard it like the police if it’s not included in your reservation.

    We stayed at Doubletree for one night to take advantage of the proximity and airport shuttle for a very early morning flight. The property was a bit dated but the room was clean and spacious and the staff were very friendly and helpful. We had no issues with the shuttle, which was right one time and quick to get us to our terminal. This may be the case with all the hotels in that area, but the external noise can be heard in the rooms so if you’re sensitive to noise, make sure to have some ear plugs handy.

    The room was fine, the bed comfortable. There was no toilet paper in the bathroom. There was Kleenex, but no TP. It took my 25 min waiting in line to be checked in. I was so tired b/c of traveling all day from Europe that I had no energy to complain about it. I don't know if the hotel's understaffed, but I paid $200+ to stay there.

    My only frustration was the valet parking. The communication around it wasn’t very clear. There was no obvious signage explaining where to pay or how much it would cost, and the information provided by staff felt a bit vague. Aside from that, everything else was great. The room was clean, spacious, and well-maintained. The beds were comfortable, although the pillows could be a bit firmer for better support. Overall, I enjoyed my stay and would definitely consider staying here again.

    let me start with the airport shuttle, waited for almost 45 min after calling the property . Staff at check in was polite and helpful , however during checked out when needed some small change for tips. the staff at the counter was every unprofessional by showing the attitude. Room is clean but the mattress is old and sank in and edge of the bed curve out. Need replacement. carpet at the coridor is dirty. The only restaurant at the hotel need improvement , besides pizza , nothing is presentable at all. way way to salty. to be frank, i was pretty disappointment with this one, not the standard of DOUBLE tree i am use to .

You have to go through the open panel in order to turn on the water so you get hit with cold water if you're not careful. Also the rooms are very nicely updated and I wonder why they didn't put in comfort height toilets instead of the old school Lowriders. The other Positive significantly outweigh these two little minuses. It will be my go to near JFK.

    Staff check was dreadful. No eye contact or even a smile. Also no info given regarding shuttle back to airport, we had to ask him. Room was noisy due to construction nearby, and other guests around us. We arrive late so we didn’t eat or drink anything during our stay so I can’t comment on those aspects of the hotel. However, the room was not clean and the airport shuttle was not available as promised due to them not taking reservations and assuring that people could make their flights on time.     Davin was amazing. Very personable and friendly and attentive. I had already paid for my room and found out after I arrived that I had to pay $150 deposit for incidentals. I couldn’t use cash. It had to be my card. I did get it back. The shuttle doesn’t go to the second airport in the vicinity. I had to pay an additional $78 to get an uber from LaGuardia to the motel. You will get more business if the shuttle runs there as well. It only said shuttle service and failed to mention LaGuardia wasn’t included. If it hadn’t been so late and my room already paid for I definitely would’ve considered another establishment. If you want help with luggage don’t go there

    The shuttle was extremely convenient and ran all day and night. The staff assisted us and provided a welcome snack. Our food delivery was able to be dropped right to us in the lobby. The window in the room didn’t have a great seal on it and you could hear all the road noise.

    After hours of negotiation, the reservation made through Bookings but not received by the hotel, was finally honored. This took place during the snow storm when there was no ground transportation. My wife and I are senior citizens, 88 and 82. We were hardly to be expected to walk out in the snow storm with our suitcases. A booking, including a booking numbers, confirmed by text, was not received by the hotel. It should have been treated like any other reservation, as we arrived with good faith expectation to be served. Especially, during a historical snow storm, we were disappointed that we had to fight the system for hours in order to get our reservation honored.

    Booked unintentionally due to fat finger mistake. The website and the property refused to refund the cost despite contacting them immediately after the mistake. Was disconnected 3 different times on the site's customer service chat. Because the site avoids facing customers they've swindled, I had to turn to an Internet search to find the customer service phone line. I was then passed around to 3 different agents who all told me it was out of their hands. I will never make another reservation on this site or stay at this hotel chain again.

    We had to wait an hour for the Double Tree shuttle to pick us up from JFK. After calling 4 times they finally came and picked us up. Upon check-in we asked for an sleeping cot for one of our kids and they said they'd have it brought to the room which never happened. Also the room had an odd smell.

    It's definitely not the old Doubletree. They used to be a step up from the bottom, but adequate tier of hotels. Instead, the hotel was quiet dull. White walls. Gray carpet. But the bed was quite comfortable and the location was fine.

    When I finally arrived at the pickup point and called to request the shuttle, I was simply told to “wait 15 minutes,” and the call was disconnected. After waiting about 30 minutes, I called again and received the same response before the call was ended again. Unfortunately, it was an especially cold and very windy day, which made the experience quite exhausting and uncomfortable. This situation also made me wonder whether guests without access to U.S. phone service are effectively unable to use the shuttle at all.

    The chicken process was very slow. There were not enough front desk people to handle the crowd. No cookies were offered. I don’t know whether none or available or whether it was just so busy the front line staff forgot. I will give kudos to the front desk staff. They were very nice. Our room was clean and the bed was very comfortable. One other downside was the fact that the ice machine on our floor was inoperative.Checkout was easy and it was easy to find the shuttle van. I guess the best recommendation I could give it was the fact that I will stay there again if the need arises.

    They only give us one room in 2 bedrooms booking pay at the hotel , said that Expedia cancel it but still showing booked at the app, and then charge us for the pickup shuttle from the airport for $454 in my card the next day , employees are rude except the dining , made us freeze at the airport before sending the shuttle , stuff is not friendly , I will never recommend these kind of costumer service , Unprofessionals!!!! I will file a fraud complaint to my bank for charging us for shuttle service because your website said it’s free

    The stay itself was great, but it is definitely a distance from NYC. I learned to get into the city using one bus and two subway trains. The room, breakfast, and cleanliness were all excellent, and the complimentary bottled water was a nice touch. If you choose to take an Uber, expect to pay between $110 and $156—very pricey. The Q60 bus was not dependable; two stops before mine, the driver made everyone get off around 9 p.m. with no explanation, which was not pleasant. Overall, I don’t regret the stay, but it was far from NYC.

    Room was good. Toilet was hard to flush but did eventually flush. Insane you have to pay to park your vehicle there. Staff was pretty nice, however acted like my husband was there trying to steal stuff whenever he was trying to get a cup of coffee from the breakfast/snack area. Couldn’t hear any planes. Pretty good access to public transport- about an hour to the city between buses and subway. Sat for over an hour at the airport in the freezing cold waiting on a shuttle because you have to call and request it which I was unaware of (I booked through Expedia so this may have been the disconnect), even though all the other Hilton shuttles were just coming back and forth. Room for improvement, would stay again though.

    The staff is dressed is ill fitting clothes and barely acknowledge you when you come in. I was able to change my room at first and the desk person didn't completely act like I was an imposition so I thought it might it might not be awful. I go up to the room and the bathroom smells like poop.The toilet seat is up, which is gross in any case, but it immediately exposed a mismatched toilet - with the actual seat way too small for the bowl. Nauseating. Needless to say, there was no sanity safety seal. I call the desk to tell them and they send the head of housekeeping, Jennifer, to my room. Jennifer couldn't have been nicer and she apologized for the bathroom and cleaned it herself, or so I thought. I thanked her for coming by so quickly

    I prepaid for a sweet and was told I had to take a regular room, but it was gonna be the same price so I lost $100 on that deal. Good morning shuttle was a nightmare. I don’t even want to start with that. You have a lovely hotel, but I’ll never stay there again because of the above problems however, in the bar, Cheryl was an absolute dream and made our evening very comfortable and happy but you need to get a damn luggage card and a place to store luggage so that people who are older don’t have to schlep their bags all over the place😡 plus I wanna refund my money because I didn’t get the receipt that I ordered a prepaid for you are not a Hilton that’s for sure

    Staff was ok but certainly not the most friendly nor helpful. There is no reason to choose this hotel. Continental breakfast is a given these days but not at the Doubletree.     I experienced an unforseen situation in my family and had to do an emergency cancelation. The outcome of my cancelation was very disappointing, especially considering my situation. Every time I visit New York, my first option is always the DoubleTree Hotel. Why support a business that is not supportive nor empathetic during a time of need, especially during a time of unforseencircumstances.     The free shuttle service was horrible. We waited for over a half hour to be picked up while we watched Marriott van after Marriott van come and go picking up their guests. The ride to the hotel, which advertises itself as one mile to JFK, took twenty minutes, as while everyone is instructed to meet the pickup van near the rental cars at Federal Circle, this does not apply to crew member guests, so the van headed back into the airport terminal area to pick up a crew member. So about an hour total after we had picked up our luggage to when we arrived at the “1 mile away” hotel. When we got to the hotel, four more vans sat idle in the back. The morning was no different. Vans were supposed to go every thirty minutes on the hour and half hour. Instructions were to arrive ten minutes prior. We came downstairs at 6:50 am. There was a huge group waiting. 7:00 came and went. People gave up waiting and called an Uber. Taxis went for thirty bucks. 7:15 the van arrived. Everyone was packed in, many standing. The driver left, came back five minutes later, argued with hotel staff outside the van while we waited. And for just the icing on the cake, the chocolate chip cookies which is Doubletree’s signature never materialized. Choose Marriott. Everyone on the van was voicing the same sentiment.

    Yes, but the room we had was right over the shuttle area in the parking lot so all night long we heard the backup lights didn’t like the light menu in the restaurant. I didn’t like the buffet. The beds were comfortable. The sheets were good toilet was too low for me. I just had knee surgery. I wouldn’t go back there.

    Friendly and helpful staff in this convenient off airport hotel. Free shuttle to and from JFK is a bonus , also used it to get to the air train and then on to the subway for a day in Manhattan, as we stayed two nights. Can’t comment on breakfast as not complimentary or included. Room was modern , light and airy with a comfortable bed , tea and coffee facilities in room with a fridge and microwave also, definitely stay again if passing through New York. Hotel is in residential neighbourhood so few local amenities.

    The duvet cover had brown stains on it and requested it to be dealt with. just coming back to hotel to see if it has been done or not but there weren't quick to resolve when we reported. Building seems fairly new, rooms decent size but Im struggling to get over the dirty bed issue

    I did not feel safe leaving the property grounds at all. Dozens of people 'hanging out' at the streets right outside the fences. Property itself was nice and clean and staff was friendly. But check-in took way too long. MY personal check-in was about 5 mins but I had to wait 30mins for the 2 check-ins ahead of me! Not sure what was going on..

    We were there to see a show at Forest Hills and this was an easy uber away. Shuttle to airport was awesome. Staff very nice, room very clean. AC was cold. TY Doubletree

    I've stayed in this hotel in January 2025, and my recent stay on Sept. 23-24, was just so far and not at par with my previous experience. The good - pastrami sandwhich from the hotel restaurant was excellent, and the wait staff have always been friendly, so to get a nice meal and cold beer after a very long flight was very pleasant. Now the bad - the elevators were smelly and dingy and there was no baggage trolly. I don't understand how a hotel can not have a baggage trolly. Finally, the worst part - my room was not cleaned and made up properly. I can tell what the previous occupants ate because the trash bins were not emptied. The bathroom sink was nasty with splatters of food debris. The facial tissue dispenser was not replenished. I can probably go on if I took the time to inspect some more but I was too tired from an 18 hour flight from Singapore, to be bothered. Please do better. To pay $500+ for barely an overnight stay, and not get a clean room, never mind clean common areas, is dishonorable and just a big let down. Please please please do better.

    Breakfast was another disappointment. Despite its high price, it was served cold and did not meet reasonable expectations for quality or value. That said, I want to commend Latoya, the only staff member who truly demonstrated excellent customer service. She was attentive, proactive, and genuinely committed to meeting our needs. I also appreciate the prompt response from the safety staff, who addressed the slipping hazard with care and professionalism.

    Crispy clean sheets bed was comfortable and it was quiet. All three of those things were necessary after a long hectic travel day. And were nicely provided by the staff. Along with warm smiles even though I believe they were having a long day also. Great job staff.

    1. No hot water - lukewarm at best 2. The tub did not drain - several inches of water remained in the tub for over 30 minutes 3. The door to the room was not aligned with the door frame, so a space of almost 1" allowed light (and potentially observation) from the hallway to enter the room. I was quite shocked, to put it mildly.

    Hotel was close/convenient to JFK Airport as a late evening flight was delayed to the following morning. Last minute booking was stressful, but the online booking APP made it easy, the two ladies working the front desk were amazing, offering up toothpaste, toothbrushes, deodorant and waters as I didn't have my checked bags/luggage with me.
