We were sent away once arriving because they said they were NO LONGER A HOTEL. We were told it was now a HOMELESS SHELTER. It being a shelter now wasn't the problem, being told when we arrived was a shock to us. ●●●●□HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE ●●●●

Hotel was horrible, parking was terrible if you could find any. Room smelled like disinfectant to try to cover up the smoking that must have gone on in the room at sometime. I gave away 3 tickets to one of the police officers for the game the next day, because no way we were staying another night. Aarp should consider offering this hotel, it reflects poorly on their reputation.

The hotel smelled from the hallways to the elevator. It was not an inviting environment. The location was not the best. Junkyard was the view that we had from our window. The hotel was over priced for the type of hotel. I do not recommend this hotel for family to stay in, location is not good at all.

1- Check in was fine even though we came in at 1:00 am in the morning 2- Even though it clearly states no smoking; the place always smelled like marijuana smoking 3- One day the room was not made( bed not made or room cleaned) 4- One day there was no hot water for showers 5- The inside bolt/lock on my door was broken 6- The juice machine was always broken, not enough silverware. One day we even walked in the breakfast area to find the cleaning staff having their own breakfast while breakfast was not even provided for the customers. 7- Took pictures of the mold growing in the bathroom 8- On my last day...went to the lobby to report this as ran into the manager of the place and he was upset at the way the condition were for us and assured me he would take care of and refund me a partial payment for my stay which was for 5 full days but still waiting for any answer for that. Even though it was a convenient place to stay for us but i would not stay there again and find somewhere else. I actually felt like this place was a shelter instead of a hotel.

Not the safest area, but expected that. It was walkable, but best in the daylight. Room was comfortable enough, rug really stained, toilet kept running (to tired to deal with it after playing in the city all day). Staff was very nice. Free parking was wonderful.

An all-around good motel experience although the included breakfast was weak, with choices limited to cereals and breads, apples, and decent coffee. Still, staff is very helpful, the motel is secure, the room was really fine, you can walk to Yankee Stadium in 30 minutes or less. I would gladly stay there again. Supermarket, c-stores, McDonalds and other eating places within a short block, and all of the Bronx stretching beyond.

upon checking in everything seemed okay. I am a non smoker and I smelled smoke as soon as I walked into the lobby. I asked about my room and the rooms next to mine and was assured they were non-smoking rooms. I smelled smoke the entire time I was awake. my eyes watered and burned until I went to sleep. the next morning for breakfast, there was no attendant present and there was hardly any food and the place was untidy. I'm sure during yankee season they are better, but I was not pleased with my stay.

This is the worst hotel I've ever stayed at. I booked for two nights and unfortunately arrived too late the first night to find someplace else. I had to stay that night but fortunately found another hotel for the next day and left asap. I assumed my vehicle would either be missing or vandalized by morning but it was alright. Nothing in the room was clean yet the room had obviously been cleaned. The toilet had recently been used and the contents were still remaining. ... to top it off, the view in the morning from the window was a lot full of wrecked or half stripped vehicles and an overpass with random guys walking and stopping to look into the hotel windows. Impressive! The price of this hotel wasn't much less than many better places, it was just very close to Yankee Stadium so I gave it a chance. I'm sure I could continue this review further but you get the idea. Do yourself a favor and stay in Manhattan. The only good thing I can say is that the 3 hotel staff I encountered were very nice and helpful. 2 window guys and 1 security.

Horrible experience. I got a non smoking room and the room reeked of smoke. The bathroom was the worst!! The smell of smoke was getting through the vents and there was mold all over the bathroom. The carpet was old and dirty and the last morning I was there they decided to clean the carpets in the hallway so at 9 in the morning I woke up to so much noise. No consideration for the guests at all!!! I think the worst of all was the amount of money I paid to stay there a night. Too expensive and not worth it at all. Would not recommend this hotel to anyone!!!

They allowed me to check in a couple hours early and were very kind about it. Gave me good directions to local places I was looking for. The cleaning staff was very nice and helpful. I felt safe in the area. We were walking the streets at around midnight. Some reviewers have complained about the rundown business across the street. There's nothing wrong with it. We're so accustomed to corporate clean global franchised businesses that we forget what reality is. Things decay and fall apart and not everything has to be squeaky clean with artificial facades. Wood rots. Fences rust. It's okay. It's beautiful.

This was my second time reserving a room at this hotel, and both my boyfriend(who's from out of town) and I were extremely satisfied with everything. Awesome experience. I very much recommend this hotel

    1. the bed was as hard as a rock, and 2. the location! was in the middle of nowhere.

Friendly and helpful staff. They were accommodating to our needs. Although the view from my room was not the most pleasant, the hotel was quiet and I felt safe staying there with my young children.

Spent a total of 2 nights at this hotel. We got around via public transportation as the hotel was not too far away. it's relatively new, location not bad. Check in was a breeze, clean, spacious, comfortable room, loved it. Didn't really care for the free breakfast tho, as there was not much of a variety, altho I appreciated the effort as I've stayed at other Days Inn where no breakfast was served. I find the staff to be very welcoming, friendly and helpful. The only reason I didn't rate it a 5, is because of no refrigerator or microwave in the room, would of liked to refrigerate and reheat my left over dinner. I really love this Days Inn and would stay there again.

Quick trip down for a ballgame. This place was easy off the highway, convenient parking and 15 min walk to the stadium with a cab ride back. Woman at the front desk was very nice and the room was spotless! We'd stay again.

Jesus checked us in & was great!! The room smelled a little of smoke as we requested a non-smoking room but it wasn't anything horrible. Bed was comfy, shower was wonderful and room very clean. The staff was very helpful with everything and we will be staying there again. It was awesome to be able to walk to Yankee Stadium for the game and stop at shops on the way back. The neighborhood seemed a bit off as we arrived BUT there was never an issue with anything or anyone in the area. The team there is an asset and with being in the hotel business myself, I know how hard it is to find good people.
